A brisk distance quelled
By a faint breeze whisking away
A dandelion's wind-borne seeds,
As my encroaching fingers finally clasp,
Nearly grasping those elusive things,
In a field, in a medley of beautiful things
All around me

Intertwined with my fate, arranged with ire
I glimpsed the light hidden behind the gait of a heavy moon,
Void was the night, though riddled with stars
Wondrous from afar
Glitter glowed, tracing its dance with such might
Graceful as a lark's swoon,
The way all these things faded from view,
Seemed reminiscent of you


Dancing lights you see..
In and out of view, like a broken camera lens
Like great portents of truth,
Intrigued me..


These ominous guiding lights,
Whom forever watched over the lands
Without a slight, without a hand
steadfast, and quiet
Without demand

Gentle in approach, the overseers, calm from a distance
Leaving their imprints on the blue sheet mirrors that blanketed the earth
Inviting all who looked upon them into the ether
Beyond the horizons of our world

Sweet and placid your light
My dear sweet Aurora, in bloom in the garden of the night,
Whose pedals fell upon the great many of us
Shining brightly through the darkness

Like a jewel in the sands,
Drowning in the dusts, the ashes of us
Those pedals fell, with a persona all their own
Tinselling gently amongst a great many a cheek
And yet, still beseeching a heart to beat

My eyes distract me
From what I know is true;
Confounding my feelings

Whenever I look at you
I remember your smile,
Your sweet skin and scent

Driving me wild
When our lips once met
Blissfully enamored

My heart took flight
At once, I shuddered

Of pearl white gates flung

All together ready with

An ostentatious congregation

With pearl white teeth brimming

Lining smiles of all the gorgeous souls

I will have had the pleasure to know and love

And as I walk amongst them

The roads of soft clouds

Would coax my weary feet

My heart heavy from every near defeat,

Every lost opportunity-

I will finally hear music so sweet

From Harps on high descending from above

As if there were something still higher to reach

Playing the notes that would flow through my being

So pristine as to undeniably assure me of God’s security

Closure, alas, would be mine, the answers to all my whys, hows, and who’s...

Not a thing will be unknown, not a thing unseen, not a single urgent matter to attend to

Born differently,
radical siblings,
a poverty
experience
coupled to
strict parenting
of two opposing
extremes,
devoid of childhood
liberty, normality.
Scarred feelings
and a bruised ego;
growing emphatic
well-accustomed
to suffering,
the notion of feeling
becoming a central theme.
My life has been comprised
by the remittance
of a third eye
never blind,
rather wide and starry
forever
whetting the sigil
of a lifetime
awareness
of heartlessness.
I herald a unique
persona,
It fetters my freedom,
my devil-may-care,
my devil may cry,
arbitrarily, too aware.

and as time goes on,

I realize the bliss of the blind;

Hello all,

Recently, I have been exhuming works from long past. In the past, I would share my pieces in the deepest recesses, corners, and crevices of the internet to small communities and blogs that would eventually die out. I hope to use Substack to give my work(s) new life.

The pieces I write are excerpts of special moments I feel resound universally. I write only the authentic feelings I experience and what they may mean in the grander scale of life.

In my formative years, I wrote in a cryptic and convoluted manner. One hope I have is to steer my poetic style towards a more earnest and sincere tone, written in simple language.

Above all, I write to catalog significant moments in my life and some lessons I mused upon during those times.

I have found deep solace in the words of songs, poetry, and literature. There is a quiet kind of confidence gained in hearing the stories of suffering, resilience, and triumph shared by all of us, carried along this same river of life.

I hope that, within these pieces, you may find even a fragment of such comfort for yourself.
