The Washington Post reported Anthropic mass destroyed millions of books to feed to its ‘Claude’ ai chat slop machine. Prominent backer of candidate Seth Bodnar, Jon Tester, serves on Anthropic’s National Security and Public Sector Advisory Council.

The players were names few Montanans would recognize, but by way of Wall Street to Silicon Valley to Elon’s SpaceX and Texas, they were heavy hitters in the ai data center industry.

Recent Federal Election Commission receipts highlight how these ai data center titans ironically helped boost an anti-data center candidate in the Montana Demorcratic Primary with the likely hopes she’d bow out under coordinated pressure to clear way for their preferred Manchurian Candidate, Seth Bodnar.

While the Progressive Vet PAC was pivotal in the primary in knocking out an unfavorable candidate they figured wouldn’t cave to their pressure, Reilly Neill, the main PAC currently running pro-Bodnar dark money operations is called Montana Freedom PAC, and it’s also chock full of ai industry insiders.

The Players

Jason Carrol, Hudson River Trading: this firm moves an estimated %15-%20 of all U.S. stock trading per day and operates worldwide. Hudson specializes in “quantitive” trading, that is using mathematical algorithms to do lighting fast trading. As it describes itself, “Hudson River Trading has made a deep, sustained commitment to integrating cutting-edge AI research and infrastructure into our trading strategies.”

Nvidia has been ‘investing’ hundreds of billions in ai data center companies, who then use those funds to buy back Nvidia chips powering the ai industry. Close observors have warned this 'circular trading’ is market manipulation & will cause a disasterous crash in the coming years once the bank loans are due.

Scott Shenker, Databricks: A computer scientist at the University of California, Berkeley, Shenker is the founder of Nicira computer chips which he sold for $1.26 billion in 2023, and is currently a board member for Databricks where he sits next to someone under a federal antitrust investigation for shady dealings.

Come on, guys…. That feeling when you’re so blatantly and obviously corrupt even the Trump DOJ has to finally has to step in and say something.

Michael Smith, MITRE Corporation: The not-for-profit Mitre corporation is basically in control of all federal ai databases and security, and Smith is the head honcho ai engineer of this. They got on the wrong side of the Trump Administration, and a lot of their funding was pulled so they’re seeking allies on the non-GOP side.

Harrison Miller: who is a “Founder & Builder” of ai data systems for companies like SpaceX (see: Elon Musk’s Grok), Google, and currently works for bond.ai, a recent company which aims to cash in on installing and provide ai systems for banks.

Greg Avis, Silicon Valley Community Foundation: Despite its innocuous name, Avis’s ‘charity’ is a $14 billion ‘Donor-Advised Fund’ (DAFs) essentially operating as a hedge fund and ‘tax write off’ for tech bros. The New York Times said critics said “DAFs represent the worst of philanthropy today—a system of guaranteed perks for the rich and uncertainty for the rest” as funds for actual non-profits organizations have dried up and taxes on the rich get bypassed.

For example, when it was noted Mark Zuckerberg ‘donated’ a billion as was in the news recently, it means he gave it to Avis to sit on.

Charity is when billionaires donating to other billionaires to hire henchmen to go after people not worshipping billionaires enough.

Stephen Mandel, Lone Pine Capital: Called the ‘New Kingmaker’ of the democratic party, Mandel gone full ‘macro investing’ on building ai data centers, and Meta has become Lone Pine’s number one stock.

Until recently, it was unknown who was at the ‘top’ of several inter-connected ‘dark money’ groups powering the democratic establishment money-machine until Mandel was fingered via some great investigative journalism by The Lever.

The latter article goes on to say Mandel just wants ‘power,’ mostly.

The Reciepts

When it was initially reported that a ‘mysterious’ dark money group named ‘Progressive Vet PAC’ boosted Bankhead’s name among democratic primary voters to help defeat the establishment threat of ‘outsider’ Reilly Neill, the motives at least weren’t so mysterious if you took into account that the person’s name listed as the treasurer was long-time Jon Tester and now Seth Bodnar supporter, Moffie Funk.

Despite polls actually showing Bankhead leading Bodnar at the time of this early July announcement, Jon Tester allies from Montana to the DC money machine started repeating verbatim talking points saying Bankhead had chance and they must choose Bodnar.

So in Bankhead they hoped to find a doormat to pave the way for Bodnar, setting up a dark money PAC with the ‘stolen/false valor’ name of Progressive Vet PAC. Veterans’ groups have recently spoken out against the scourge of people using their trusted name for devious purposes (like starting a dark money PAC with no intention of fully supporting the candidate, for instance), and through Moffie Funk.

Instead of thanking them, you should be apologizing to them for using their sacrifice for shitty, devious, dark money politics. “Have you left no sense of decency?"

In an infamous leaked text back in January, Tester had called the democratic party’s name ‘poison’ to voters while mocking Neill by name and saying she’d lose by 25 points, and that’s why they needed an independent candidate—someone who’d do the backing of pro-ai data center CEOs’ interests that progressives, leftists, and even conservatives alike had been unifying against—and Seth Bodnar would become their tool for their bidding.

And $2.8 million was the cost of business for trying to sway the democratic process they planned to discredit as rigged by then having mouthpieces of supposed pro-democracy groups Carol William’s of ‘Carol’s List’ and Forward Montana gaslight Montana voters by trying to delegitimize Bankhead by saying $2.8 million was spent by ‘outsiders’ even though they not only knew the person who orchestrated it as a friend, but knew why they did it, too.

Moffie Funk:

When one looks at the reciepts of who Progressive Vet PAC’s contributors were, it has two names: Countours Inc. and American Values PAC.

Contours, Inc. has long been a shadowy group no one could pinpoint, until hedgefund and ai super investor Stephen Mandel was discovered as the primary figurehead behind it. (I say primary, because there are a lot of other donors in groups he runs).

While the American Values PAC has less money donated, it’s telling because these are not people who donated through the ‘shadow’ group of Contours, but people who knew their name would be attached. This would become ‘proof’ of their pay to play, so to speak, if Bodnar won election.

These names are Jason Carrol of Hudson River Trading, HarrisonMiller the ai tech guru, and the Tullman Family Office.

Seth Bodnar’s go-to dark money PAC

The dark money supporting Bodnar under his ‘go-to’ Montana Freedom PAC comes via the Way Back PAC—under the Mandel umbrella—that focuses on Mountain West area political races.

Montana Freedom PAC’s aforementioned individual donors are also all associated with heavily investing in the ai data center industry, excluding maybe Sam Walton of Walmart who is presumably more anti-Trump tariff stance.

Seth Bodnar—the ‘independent’ ai pawn

On his website, Seth Bodnar has shifted his wording regarding his otherwise continuous support for ai data centers in Montana as more people have looked into his unpopular bipartisan position on the matter.

“These (ai) facilities represent real economic opportunity — investment, jobs, and tax revenue for Montana communities,” Bodnar’s campaign noted on an earlier version of his website.

He of course found environmental damages and higher electricity ai data centers concerning (as every politician has said), but nonetheless, Montana needed them lest “the benefits flow elsewhere. This simply can’t happen.”

On his current campaign page, he has shifted his wording to not be so openly brazen about his support of ai data centers. He obfuscates by by listing off how much he is aware of the various concerns, and how much ‘transparency’ is needed.

When pressed on why he was so anti-ai data center moratorium on a ‘Beer, Buds & the Big Sky Podcast,’ Bodnar said, “Because we have to actually force to get to a common sense solution, and that’s why we need independent leadership.”

In other words, he wants allow ai data centers to force their way onto communities while continuing to express vague “I feel your pain”-type concerns—and being ‘independent’ is when being backed almost exclusively by ai data center interests, apparently.

In the meanwhile, Bodnar has been announcing his support for the ‘Ratepayer Protection Act’ that allows exactly this strategy of speeding up the mass production of ai data centers as noted by the policy director of Food and Water Watch, Jim Walsh.

“That’s how they getchya!” Always read the fine print.

The data center in the works near Billings, Montana being planned is so massive it'll take up 7-10 times more electricty than the entire state of MT uses. This isn't even to mention how much water it will used in a draught-stricken area.

But no worries, I am sure the several solar panels to prove they are a ‘green’ company they put up should cover most of their power needs, right?

Seth Bodnar strongly opposes opposing this, and trusts the Trump Administration’s EPA to not just allow said loopholes which are basically pay for their own infrastructure going to power outlets—which they need to do anyway with all of the specialized needs one would need to power something so massive. This isn’t like running a power line out there to plug it in.

During this signing, Trump said ai data centers “could use a little public relations.” And if you can’t trust a non-binding resolution via Trump and billionaires racing to get their stock evaluation to a $trillion, who can you trust?

And ultimately, as many communities have learned with similar ‘agreements’ to the Ratepayer Protection Act, with that sheer amount of power they use on the grid, that cost gets spread out no matter what.

The reason why is the simple law of supply and demand in that everyone pays higher rates if there's 10 times the amount being used, cuz natural gas isn't gonna stay the same overall price.

On the Beer, Buds, & The Big SKy Podcast there is also one more thing that Bodnar supports as much as ai data centers, and that’s I.C.E.

And while he will give his always vague platitudes and low bar statements about how ICE needs to maybe not beat as many rando brown people and shoot as many people as they do, Bodnar said “abolish ICE” was “I think is one of the dumbest phrases ever written as a political phrase.”

Follow the money: Independent U.S. Senate candidate Seth Bodnar and former U.S. Senator Jon Tester at a 2023 “tech hub” symposium. Tester is currently a National Security & Public Sector Advisory Council member for the Anthropic ai company, and Bodnar has strongly opposes any ai moratoriums.

With four more days until the August 10^th deadline for Montana political candidates to drop out the race, the group text via an unnamed group supporting independent U.S. Senate candidate Seth Bodnar was urgent.

They claimed the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSSCC) and other top orgs in the Democratic ecosystem were calling it an “All hands on deck situation to get (Alani) Bankhead out since she hasn’t responded to gentler nudges.”

Note: This plan has of coordinating with these dark money goons has “buy in DNC, DSSC, and other top orgs in the ecosytem.” (The phone number originates from Half Moon Bay, California—a wealthy ‘tech bro’ enclave just south of the Anthropic ai headquarters.)

While an urgent message by itself seems a normal reaction in a behind-closed doors look at a campaign’s inner-workings, the “hasn’t responded to gentler nudges” took on a very mafia-like, sinister tone seeing as one of the “Top Priorities” of not-so-gentle nudges would mean pressuring Bankhead’s close friends and immediate family whose names, social media, and contact numbers were laid out on a spreadsheet.

As abhorrent as that might be, going after adults could still be considered protected free speech as condoned by a conservative US Supreme Court’s Citizen United ruling.

What isn’t protected and voids any protected speech claims, however, was on this spreadsheet Bankhead’s daughter was listed as part of their harassment conspiracy.

When this leaked this information got to Bankhead, she responded in a Facebook message:

“My daughter has been included on a target list for harassment

My daughter. A minor.

And the evidence presented proves clear ties to Bodnar supporters (see images below)

This post is not political. It’s about the physical safety of my family …”

Agreed.

Beyond a possible civil lawsuit that’d open Bodnar associates up for discovery if it moved forward, there are potentially other serious charges that could apply like federal cyberstalking and Willful Interference with Federally Protected Activities (18 U.S.C.A. § 245) which includes the Constitutional right to run for office.

‘False Valor’ campaign tactics backfire

Bankhead, a recently retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and intelligence officer, had been facing heavy pressure to drop out by the former U.S. Senator Jon Tester’s candidate of choice, Bodnar, ever since her upset win in the June primary.

Bankhead’s win, ironically, was boosted by a Bodnar-backed dark money formed to defeat then favored nominee, Reilly Neill.

At the behest of Tester, his colleagues at the DNC shut of the spigot of all funds to Bankhead. The DSCC executive director, Devan Barber, bluntly told Semafor news last month right after the primary that, “the DSCC partners with viable campaigns who have a path to victory, which Ms. Bankhead does not.”

Barber isn’t exactly a neutral director as she’d worked on two of three of former US Senator Jon Tester’s campaigns, and if the allegations were true that DSSC pushed for the measures outlined by dark money PAC text, that’d implicate her.

The DNC Chair, Ken Martin, has already been under fire for the DNC being in debt and having to be severely pressured to be released an ‘autopsy’ report on the 2024 election as he’d promised. When he finally did release the report, Martin didn’t release entire chapters of it as according to the author himself. Martin denied that he the author sent him those inconvenient chapters.

“Where’s the chapter on Gaza, Ken?” Ken: The dog ate it.

After local news eventually caught up to the story which had previously only ran on conservative news outlets, Bodnar gave a public statement condemning “rumors” that Bankhead’s family and minor daughter had allegedly targeted by a PAC.

I am guessing the person writing the headline wrote it sarcastically.

He also went on to try and deflect blame towards the GOP, but to be fair, republican operative Jake Eaton has had his name on the ‘reciepts’ of so many amoral dark money actions they probably have his face as the illustrative picture of the definition of “douchecanoe.”

While Bodnar and Neill had their personal cell phone numbers blasted to thousands of MAGA supporters encouraging them chud-out at them by dark money PACs connected to Eaton (Bodnar in a mass phone text, and Neill on a flier mailed to thousands of people), close observers of Montana politics believed Bodnar’s condemnation of harassment was all kayfabe to protect his own neck seeing as it was an open secret his campaign’s plan from the get-go was bully the democratic nominee out of the race.

In fact, back in January, Montana state representative Zooey Zephyr had even told her Missoula constituents, “There is a push from Tester to get the Montana Dems to give up the idea of running a candidate and to instead back an Independent.”

She also noted how this would also serve to consolidate Jon Tester’s power over the democratic party, the same party he 'called “poison” in a ‘leaked’ text.

Montana democrats have moved so far right in repeated, failed attempts to appeal to pedo protecting MAGA cultists that ‘Vote Blue No Matter Who’ now deems one a radical leftist.

Also in January, Montana Free PressvManaging Editor, Holly Nichels, explained in a January MTNPR discussion that further content’s of the Tester’s leaked test mocked how Neill would supposedly only “talk about trans rights, democracy and bathrooms” if she were nominated.

For the record, Neill literally never referenced trans people on any of her platforms or speeches, but this did highlight just how out-of-touch Tester became with ordinary Montanans with his repeating MAGA culture war slop talking points.

Only desperate, unserious (creepy) conservatives who will never call for pedos in the Epstien files to be prosecuted have made trans people an obsessive issue year after year due to lack of their own ideas on how to govern outside of what Trump’s unpopular Project 2025 agenda tells them what to do.

Tester’s use of ‘democracy’ as a pejorative when speaking of democrats seemed foretelling of Tester’s intentions to do a coup, so to speak, with his puppet Bodnar.

Dark money ad campaigns have been directly funded by Jon Tester’s longtime colleagues at Waterfront, a middle-man ‘firm’ who hand over political hit pieces and messages dark money PACs to put their name on for distribution.

So while a Bodnar advertisement may say, “Paid for by Montana Freedom PAC” (usually) or whatever generic name, figure it was handed to them by the Waterfront firm who made it and produced it, with the Bodnar team likely telling them what they envisioned before approving the final product.

Flimsy as it may be, this ‘technically’ gives campaigns their facade of plausible deniability when asked if they coordinate with dark money PACs.

Right after the primaries, Bankhead was ahead or leading Bodnar in most polls. Despite this fact, democrat influencers and dark money groups spent mass amounts of money telling people she had no chance and should drop out.

And also note how many times Bodnar makes a point to exclaim, “I have not asked her to drop out!” even though it’d be perfectly legal and logical from his point of view to do so.

He does this so when his goons attack Bankhead—or conspire to go after her daughter—he can point to his ‘record’ of denying he would be part of it.

A political shitshow brought to you by…white entitlement

But what the Bodnar and Tester and DNC people didn’t count is not folding to their harassment campaign.

Imagine, in 2026, you condone harassing brown people and their families as a large part of your political platform. Trying to appeal to the pro-ICE agent base while running as a centrist is certainly a choice, I guess.

A newcomer to the very white, male-dominated world of Montana politics, Bankhead didn’t get the memo you’re supposed to kiss Jon Tester’s ass…er…ring. He was the bigshot enforcer of the Open ai billionaires who’d be backing Bodnar, afterall.

Democracy in 2026 Montana be like: “Behold, peasants! And be grateful, for thy Tech Overlords of Anthropic Kingdom have graced and bestowed upon thee their divine wisdom and have selected thine nobleman who shall Lord over thee, Sir Seth ‘Both Sides Are Bad’ Bodnar.”

After all, this is a woman who made it to the top echelons as a self-described “petite” Latina woman in male dominated professions who does speaking engagements about how to overcome self-doubts.

White folks on the Bodnar team forgot to do their opposition research.

And while Bankhead’s task is to win voters, my task as a journalist is to call out public officials in this editorializing. In other words, I am not trying to speak for Bankhead at all.

That said, I believe many Montana liberal women are of the attitude one best not stand against the inherently entrenched white patriarchy of Montana.

While I use ‘woke’ words, I shall strive to give them merit beyond reducing them to buzzwords many claiming to be progressive throw around to preach at others, but not practice when they feel the slightest bit of discomfort.

Take for instance, Carol’s List, created by a long-time democratic face an figurehead in Montana politics, Carol Williams.

“Carol’s List helps progressive, pro-choice Democratic women run for office in Montana and win — to increase women’s political power in the state,” their mission statement states.

But after you read this, you might say they should probably just edit that whole part out because they are anything but that.

In May of 2025, the Stars and Stripes military magazine published a piece describing an emerging trend of bad actors claiming to represent veterans’ groups were sowing distrust in the credibility of the Military and actual veteran group’s by committing a form of Stolen Valor.

Stars and Stripes said, “This new form of deception, what we call False Valor, is the exploitation of the military community’s reputation for unethical purposes.”

One of these False Valor groups was a dark money group called Progressive Vet. This group listed non-veteran and longtime Jon Tester sycophant, Moffie Funk, as its treasurer.

Despite its unscrupulous morals, this group was highly effective as they hid behind veterans’ names to exploit the trust of Montana voters, boosting Bankhead with $2.5 million in ads before immediately pulling support for her when she won the primary.

The group’s goal, after all, was to hide behind the namesake of veterans just to defeat the candidate Tester had openly mocked and wanted to discredit, Reilly Neill.

Moffie Funk, once a highly respected educator, had discredited and disrespected her own lifelong public service for 30 pieces of silver. Her legacy will be forever tainted as the person who committed one of the most brazen acts of False Valor in Montana political history.

Despite the fact this act of ‘false valor’ against Bankhead was widely reported on and ergo obviously well-known in democrat circles (especially seeing as many of them were behind it as they could get intel on Neill), Carol William’s used her trusted influence to gaslit ordinary Montanans by shamelessly writing in a July statement:

“Bankhead rode more than $3 million in outside dark money from a single unknown super PAC into the nomination. That PAC has already walked away. When the money that manufactured a win vanishes the moment it is tested, that is not a fluke. That is a warning. There is a deeper problem.”

There’s a “deeper problem,” indeed, in that Montana women in supposed progressive groups with sway like Carol’s List blindly turn their eye to acts of false valor by one of their own, then try to blame the victim of their own scam while gaslighting Montanans who trust them.

Even Forward Montana, a group many young progressive Montanans trust for guidance and leadership, began feeding the public BS talking points originated by Carol Williams.

One of the out-of-context clips Bodnar supporters cling to as a talking point is when Bankhead told a financially, well-off women asking for advice that her own choices were causing her to be ‘poor.’ This was literally true, otherwise she wouldn’t have asked for advice.

In that context, and as someone who’s been of the lower-working class proletariat all of my life who literally has gone the last month without a phone after my old phone bit the dust, I would have said the same thing if a rich white lady asked me why she felt so poor after she felt guilty for overspending or whatever ills plagued her. “Sounds like a you problem,” I might have said. And stay hydrated.

But these people keep trying to make it sound like Bankhead told this to to a single mother with three kids working two jobs who is worried about grocery prices.

This is also pretty rich coming from the same people telling others don’t support Bankhead because she doesn’t have the millions of dollars via billionaire ai slop factory donors that Bodnar has.

However, what’s most disturbing is when I’ve explained the targeting of her minor daughter to Bodnar supporters, they’ve mostly taken an attitude of shrugging it off and even callously justifying what they dark money group planned. “They’re right. She should have dropped out.”

This mentality is also akin to condoning watching a man beating his wife, and then if the woman dares raise her hands in self-defense, the man threatens to turn to also beat their daughter too if she doesn’t stop. “Look what you made them do!”

For all their tough talk of standing up for women and “protecting our sisters,” a lot of democratic Montana women will throw that sentiment out the window to be seen as “one of the good ones” just to appease the hierarchy in the “Montana good ol’ boys club”—just as Bodnar’s tenure at the University of Montana was also literally described as in court documents.

Too often white women decide that when they feel uncomfortable, upset, or threatened, they can turn to the patriarchy for protection. Because they don’t want to lose that protection (dubious as it is), they stand by when it’s convenient, and challenge it only when it directly threatens them. … They fail to recognize the conflicted relationship they have with the patriarchy includes a certain cowardice around challenging not only it, but other women who have embraced it.

Solidarity and the way forward

In the notoriously difficult to poll of Montana, there’s only one statistic that matters if you want to win a statewide election against republicans—this was proven by Jon Tester three times—and that is whether or not one can inspire Indigenous voters to turn out.

When democrats used to win, they used to make rounds and hosts rallies on every reservation. Now few of them even try to engage.

This statistic becomes even more important with cities like Kalispell getting a %26 increase in population. To safely predict the political affiliations especially seeing as this area has only gotten more extreme in the last few years, one could presume it’d be close next-door Idaho’s where it was reported where %75 of recent California newcomers were republicans—so-called ‘blue state refugees,’ if you will.

Personally, I don’t think Bodnar—especially after shitting on the candidate many of us Indigenous people voted for in the primaries—is going to motivate Natives to come out in droves with a generic “both sides are bad” platform filled with vague, generic platitudes.

Imagine going to the rez, and telling a bunch of Natives they need to vote for the white guy instead of the Latina women who actually campaigned on rezs they saw last week. They ask why. You going to tell them because he’s a rich white guy with more campaign money that came from even richer white guys?

While Natives have the same needs and want America to succeed, they don’t understand why many white men have a cult-like worship of the rich— that accumulation of money through greed is somehow proof this must make them a great leader.

To them, you just sound like the white version of their shitty corrupt uncle on council who got busted by the feds for corruption, after all.

Many young Natives—just like many young people across America—are disillusioned with their vote having any impact as is. So what message does a young peoples’ voting rights advocacy group like Forward Montana, for instance, send when they call for throwing out their elderly gramma’sprimary vote?

She who dressed up nice, made a day of it, and traveled all the way to reservation border town to cast their primary ballot….

While of course money matters and boosts a candidacy’s visibility and message while combatting an opponent, which is why Tester cowered all the democrats donors into daring to even think of giving to her, figure, as I write this now, Bankhead is out there talking to Indigenous voters like myself.

We may be poor, we may not win this election, and we may not be able to boost impressive numbers in donations via billionaire backers, but at least we can drop our vote in that box with the name Alani Bankhead checked as a strong fuck you against those who sold out their morals in their attempt circumvent our democratic primary to serve an oligarchy.

Maybe next time, those Montana democrats choose #solidarity over selling their souls.

The Clark Fork River in Missoula may soon feed a proposed ai data center 7 miles upstream in Bonner, Montana.

Jason Small, a former republican state senator and current head honcho of the Montana federation of Unions, has been tirelessly lobbying on behalf of the need for ai data centers.

He extolls how big tech is able to throw a lot of money towards the construction of ai data centers and dismisses as the "shock and terror" messaging of those not wanting them in Montana their backyard.

While Montanans and Americans overwhelmingly reject data centers near where they live, Small has found support for his cause from “across the aisle” in Congressional candidate and fellow union member, Sam Forstag, who likewise proudly brags of this bipartisan endorsement from him.

While Small mostly speaks of the quick money to ne made as to why Montana needs data centers built, in one of his arguments on the Voices of Montana radio program, he wondered aloud why people who complain about the vast amounts of water that ai data centers use never complain about the amount of water farms need.

To that, one could quote Indigenous (Abenaki) documentary filmaker, Alanis Obomsawin, who said, "Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish been caught, and the last stream been poisoned will we realize we cannot eat money."

But maybe that's too much "shock and terror" for him. Well, maybe it should be?

And while Forstag and his other fellow confressional and Senate politicians pay lipservice and filibuster how supposedly concerned they are about the environmental damage that ai data centers cause, not one of them actually said outright they are against building them in Montana.

Montana politicians be like, “Do I want data centers in Montana? What do you mean yes or no? Didn’t I already tell you I was ‘concerned’? Don’t make me tap the deeply concerned sign.”

In an interview by NBC Montana reporter Phil Howard, he probably thought it was like pulling teeth to get a “yes” or “no” answer from democrat congressional candidate Brian Miller as to wether he supported building ai data centers in Montana.

Eventually, Miller did say if “these data center guys could not satisfy the people,” he would oppose them.

The thing is, while data centers are unpopular, the “people” includes both those who would never want any data centers in their backyards, period, as well as those like Jason Small are already seemingly satisfied and ready to go.

So either way, “the people” are technically satisfied—especially as the 2025 Montana legislature already voted that ai data centers would face extremely limited oversight with a “Right To Compute” bill.

The bill, basically a carbon copy of a draft via Project 2025 board advisor, the American Legislative Exchange Council, ultimately enshrines ai data centers as “critical infrastructure” and “Any restrictions placed by the government on the ability to privately own or make use of computational resources for lawful purposes must be limited … and narrowly tailored to fulfill a compelling government interest.”

In other words, a “compelling government interest” grants ai data centers the highest standard of protections, and deeming it “critical infrastructure,” which in Montana means one could get up to 30 years in prison for protesting them. (Montana made such draconian punishments to those who’d dare protest ‘critical infrastructure’ in response to punishing potential Indigenous oil pipeline protestors.)

In fact, the Montana Senate voted 50-0 on favor of this bill. While one can say perhaps the State Senators were all hoodwinked in what this bill would potentially mean for Montana’s future, it must be noted in the Montana House the bill passed on a 100-39 vote with nearly all democrats voting against it—so obviously they knew what the bill entailed. (For the record, nationally known representative, Zooey Zephyr, was one of democrats candidates who voted for this Project 2025-related pro-ai-slop bill.)

And “the people” also includes the Montama State Building & Construction Trades Council, who claimed in a statement they are not pro-data center, “We are Pro-Worker!”

In a statement, President Clint Penny said, “There’s been a lot of talk recently about unions and data centers and almost none of it has the facts straight!”

However, instead of explaining what these facts about data centers are that everyone has wrong, they tell about the importance of unions in history, how they are your neighbors and coaches who do essential tasks for society, and to support them is to be "pro worker.” Ergo, the implication becomes you are “anti-worker” if you (or politicians on “both sides of the aisle”) don’t work towards getting them ai data center construction jobs.

On a national level, Montana Rep. Troy Downing co-sponsored The Artificial Intelligence Wisdom for Innovative Small Enterprises (AI-WISE) Act, which his website notes, “requires the Small Business Administration to develop AI literacy resources on its existing e-learning platform.”

In his quest to catch the eye if ai money, republican Troy Downing co-sponsored a bill that passed the House earlier this year forces the government to teach ai to rural businesses called the Artificial Intelligence Wisdom for Innovative Small Enterprises (AI-WISE) Act.

On his website, Downing describes it as requiring “the Small Business Administration to develop AI literacy resources on its existing e-learning platform.”

In the western part of the state, the ai super pac touted their victory over anti-ai candidate Dr. Albert Olszewski.

Flint takes a sizeable ai-backed war chest of money into the general election against previously mentioned and fellow ai proponent, Sam Forstag.

Leading the Future also put in their pocket U.S. Senate candidate Kurt Alme.

Alme’s opponent, the surprise winner of the democratic primary, Alanis Bankhead, was the only major candidate running who gave a “no” answer when asked about them, but this came with a typical caveat also espoused by many pro-ai data center candidates.

“Ai data centers are a no for me,” Bankhead said, “unless certain requirements are met.”

Bankhead described how she is “open to the conversation” if companies can prove they won’t raise utility prices or drain community resources.

On his website, the other U.S .Senate candidate, Seth Bodnar, said ai data centers “represent real economic opportunity — investment, jobs, and tax revenue for Montana communities. But they also consume extraordinary amounts of electricity and water, and if we're not careful, the costs get quietly shifted onto Montana families while the benefits flow elsewhere. This simply can't happen.”

“This simply can’t happen”? How about fuck off.

However, ai data centers have already proven they cannot be trusted, repeatedly doing what environmental groups call “greenwashing” (throw up some solar panels that barely make a dent in their power usage, for instance) to vastly overstate their claims of environmental friendliness.

And with the Trump Administration gutting the Environmental Protection Agency, that anything would be “regulated” is naive.

It’s environmentally safe bro trust me bro I care deeply about profits—er I mean the peasants…err… I mean people.

So while politicians are content to letting ai data centers be built on Montana lands, the good news is many proposed ai data centers are being stalled due to a bottleneck of supply chain issues for critical components, as well as opposition from locals who don’t want any part of the troubles they’ e seen in other ai data center areas as permits are fiercely contested.

Nonetheless, ai data center oligarchs still aim to crush dissent by buying politicians to do their bidding like they did in Montana all while taking a dismissive mentality towards locals of, “Ai data centers are coming to your community wether you like it or not”—a phrase said spineless politicians have used as well to justify selling-out their constituents.

One of biggest obstacles against ai data centers may be the market itself. While many economists have long predicted an ai bubble burst, the fact ai already lost its novelty and popularity so quickly in mainstream culture has certainly hastened the demise.

So as ai slop becomes “cringe,” investors are finally beginning to see the writing on the wall.

But like calling the 2020 election "rigged" 107 times in the last 5 months alone (a strategy to lay the groundwork to discredit the upcoming mid-term elections), this is just one of many "thought terminating clichés" Trump has unceasingly programmed into the minds of his followers.

In April of 2025, the state of Montana signed into law the so-called “Right to Compute” law with 50-0 bipartisan Senate support.

Hailed as a bill designed to protect online “free speech,” the bill is a carbon copy of a draft via Project 2025 board advisor, the American Legislative Exchange Council, that’d ultimately enshrine ai data centers as “critical infrastructure.”

And while originally written to target Indigenous “water protectors” in the aftermath of the #NoDAPL protests, it must be noted in 2021 Montana passed a law which makes protesting or practicing civil disobedience against “critical infrastructure”—which would now theoretically include ai data centers—punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Money not only talks, but buys silencing opposition.

In a recent Gallup poll, %71 of respondents opposed having ai data centers in their communities, with only %9 expressing strong support for them.

With such a surprising amount of universal public awareness regarding ai data centers, going over why people are so against them would seem redundant (extreme environmental damages from maddening noise pollution; fucked air quality; and sucking up so much water the Greek Goddess Charybdis would be disgusted), so it’d seem an easy “No” for any politician to listen to, right?

But $394 million spent by big tech in the 2024 election cycle alone buys a lot of politicians. By comparison, that amount dwarfed the $249 million spent by “big oil” to grease political wheels.

And speaking of political wheels greased in Montana, while Independent candidate Seth Bodnar led all candidates in fundraising, little is known about his stances on contentious issues (does he supports the Israeli-led Iran war, for instance?) beyond his generic diatribes about how “both sides” are extreme—even though he doesn’t even say what he considers “extreme.” Is it the fascism on one side, and proposed healthcare for all on the other that he considers too “extreme”?

Bro-dnar, heroically taking a stand for the people. And by people we do mean his own ego.

Peculiarly, on an early version of Bodnar’s campaign website, nothing of substance was noted except his endorsement for Montana needing ai data centers.

While one might think he’s finally noted the political winds changing into a hurricane against said data centers, Bodnar’s website currently doubles down in its want of data centers in Montana.

“These facilities represent real economic opportunity — investment, jobs, and tax revenue for Montana communities,” Bodnar’s campaign notes.

While Bodnar acknowledges ai data centers consume a vast amount of resources, he only says we must be “careful” Montanans don’t bear the negative burden costs of the data centers be hypes, lest “the benefits flow elsewhere. This simply can't happen.”

Democrat Sam Forstag also condones ai data centers if they are regulated to be environmentally safe, and notes potential positive impacts of ai data centers as a tool to help "cure cancer.”

However, the claim data centers could be “environmentally safe” is an oxymoron seeing as there is no such thing as an environmentally safe ai data center in the first place—especially when ai-slop backed politicians are writing the very definitions of what they deem “safe.”

The Trump Administrations Environmental protection Agency literally plans to redefine what constitutes “pollutant-emitting activities" in order to hasten the building of data centers.

In a recent statement, the EPA said just last week:

The change will support the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure and power generation, a significant step forward in the Trump EPA’s efforts to provide affordable baseload power for American families and to advance the data centers essential to making the U.S. the AI capital of the world.

When Forstag was pressed by fellow democrat candidates Russell Cleveland and Ryan Busse on why he’d ignore the anti-ai data center position of potential Montana consituents just to cater to the whims of wealthy donors, Forstag pointed out his opponents were also not poor, and that Cleveland mischaracterized union support for building ai data centers.

A Pennsylvania construction union president, Rob Bair, characterized his support for ai data centers to the Associated Press when he said, “When people say, you know, ‘data centers are the root of all evil,’ we’re just saying, ‘look, they do create a hell of a lot of construction jobs, which we live and work in your communities.’”

Forstag with proposed ai data center that he envisions in the background after it sucks up all the moisture.

To people of Bair and Forstag’s ilk, such is the alluring power of the almighty dollar over the power of people as they hide behind being “anti-union” if you question their motive$.

Although ai-slop is bipartisanly despised, Republican candidate Aaron Flint has most blatant endorsement of being bought and paid for by pro-ai proponents with $500,000 donated to him by “Leading The Future.”

So what is Leading the Future’s endgame? Literally “identifying, maintaining, and growing pro-AI candidates. …”

You get the picture. They are ai-slop obsessed.

As Flint’s opponent, Dr. Al Olszewski, has rightfully gone at him him for choosing money and ai slop money over Montanans, Flint tried to justify it by saying he is concerned about electricity rates going up, and “The last thing we want is the federal government making these decisions, but I do think this is something the state legislature is going to have to look at.”

Flint is being purposefully disingeuous in his answer by trying to pass this off to the Montana legislature as if its a can he can kick down the road.

He and his donors already know the Montana legislature already passed the most ai friendly bill in the nation via the “Right to Compute” law.

In Montana, the power of the people has been steadily outsourced to the power of personal data harvesting centers as politicians take voters for fools by all conveniently repeating the exact same talking point “concerns” as they cash checks from pro-ai slop donors.

Maybe enough voters say “enough!” this time, but money might still drown out those voices.

Committee Chair Amy Regier said, “Mr. Butterfly, we are talking about sexual assault investigations.”

“Well, this needs to be investigated,” Butterfly said, “Cuz theres a lot of stuff going on associated to the (Kirk) assassination.”

Butterfly pulled out a stack of his research papers and said, “I introduce this evidence to you—you guys are in danger right now.”

Regier said, “Does this have to do with the (sexual assault) investigator’s qualifications?”

"Yes,”Butterfly said, “because the people behind the cover-up in these were part of the DOC—DOJ.”

As Butterfly passed out his research, Regier asked if there was anyone else who would like to testify.

A visibly irate Butterfly went up back to the podium, then sounded off with explicitive-laden tirade.

“What I’m going to say right now—if you’d stop interreupting me!—is there’s an assassination attempt on your father. If you wanna ignore that, go ahead!”

Butterfly then pointed at Rep. Zephyr and yelled, “Ask this fucker right here! (She) knows what's up! Fucking bitch!”

While one may think MOR’s initial fine of $5,000 and the temporary suspension (to which they then paid Huber’s realtor fees) of Huber’s access to listing services for alleged hate speech in this instance might have been excessive, it would be disingenuous to not mention he’d also held an anti-LGBTQ rally where State Senator Theresa Manzella said if Montanans born LGBTQ were scared to hold hands in public, “I think those are normal consequences associated with the choices they made.”

NB4 BUT CONTEXT! Manzella’s context (esp seeing as this was tis said at an anti-LGBTQ “tour”) and follow-up ‘clarifying’ statements made these remarks even worse.

At this same rally was anti-LGBTQ and now ex-Pastor JD Hall.

IN THE HOURS FOLLOWING the murder of the Martin Luther King Jr. disparager, Charlie Kirk, conservative media pundits rushed to lay blame on the second school-shooting that day by a young white guy as somehow the fault of… trans people.

In the following manhunt, FBI Director Kash Patel directly involved himself in ways that somehow added more questions and conspiracies then answers. The only thing certain was a suspect named Tyler Robinson was in custody.

Also, the FBI seemed more obsessed with trying to use the incident to paint the “left” as inherently more violent, even scrubbing their own web page of statistics proving otherwise.

While one’s existence as a queer person should not have to be considered a political ideology, family members noted how Robinson became more “left” in some of his views regarding LGBTQ people.

Another casing said the words “oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao!” which is a lot of writing to put on a bullet, but “Bella ciao” (“Goodbye beautiful”) became a defacto Italian anti-fascist anthem then modern popular worldwide song sung in opposition things deemed authoritarian like Covid lockdowns. It was also popularized in the Money Heist series on Netflix.

While none of this was definitive of a coherent ideology beyond confirming one was a terminally online gamer with such obscure references, many suggested Robinson was a possible far-right “Groyper”—followers of antisemite, white nationalist, and Kirk rival, Nick Fuentes—which at least one supposed former classmate concurred.

Robinson’s mother posted a Halloween pic of him as a being in the Russian/Slavic “Gopnik” subculture, and the fact an associated “Pepe the Frog” meme oft associated with Groypers was one as well lead some to conclude he was a Fuente’s follower.

Personally, I believe his costume had nothing to do with Pepe, as Pepe is not usually depicted as a Gopnik, per se.

Still, if Robinson was fell in love with a queer catboy, it wouldn’t wouldn’t have been a first time a Groyper did so.

So while I lean towards the negative on Robinson being an actual Groyper beyond casual perhaps casual online connections, as I looked deeper into tbe aforementioned Utah “Boogaloo Boy” suspect in 2021 the traits that were visible—albeit limited—kept lining up as him possibly being as one in the same person.

I sat on the info, hoping more information would come about to further confirm the potential Boogaloo/Robinson link; perhaps a pic matching one of the unique guns with said Boog suspect?; or maybe Robinson would simply further confess to the courts or a reporter on any affiliations to clear things up.

But the only further info that came up regarding Kirk’s killing was theories that he may have been shot from a different angle as the ‘magic’ bullet normally would have caused much more devastating damage as according to people with more firearm expertise than me.

Many “Boog” were arrested in terror plots like wanting to kidnap the Michigan governor. Many were involved in the January 6 takeover of the Capitol. Another shot federal officers in Oakland during BLM protests.

But what was the purpose of the Utah Boogaloo Boys rally in January 2021, only a 11 days after January 6? While many observors presumed they were protesting on behalf of Trump’s “stolen election” claims, the January 17 event waz actually prior to the January 6 aftermath as an anniversary of a pro-gun rights rally in Virginia on January 17, 2020.

The rally became controversial after Virginia banned guns at the Capitol after the FBI disrupted a neo-Nazi plot to “accelerate” anti-government violence.

So, while those white supremacists in Virginia weren’t part any “Boogaloo” group, note that their recycled, accelerationist endgame is the same: find reasons to instigate violence.

Thus, in their constant pursuits of doing so, the Boog became fed magnets. By 2021, other right-wing groups disassociated from them ad members went back to lurking in the online shadows, or at least forego their Hawaiian shirts at public protests.

Some Boogaloo—like Robinson, possibly—may have just showed up to that January 17, 2021 Utah rally simply as a “patriot” excercising their 2nd Amendment rights.

Combine that with the frustration of Covid lockdowns, and one can see how a boiling stew of frustrated, young men with little hope of a better future might find this, nihilistic, anti-government ideology appealing.

And with so many primed to be radicalized, the law of percentages only needs %1 or less of them to follow through on actions beyond posting memes for something tragic or deadly to happen.

I have driven through (and had to stop) at the St. George-area Robinson hailed from on my way to and from Las Vegas many times. As a trans woman with brown skin, the Mormon Temple-dense, %75 pro-Trump“Ultra-MAGA” town gives off a magnetic repulsion vibe.

I theorize Robinson grew despondent, knowing as a closeted, red state queer, it inevitably meant he and his lover would face total communal ostracization when their relationship eventually became public.

In response to President Trump’s DESIGNATING ANTIFA AS A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION September 22, 2025 Executive Order, I felt immediately compelled to respond with a civil rights complaint.

While not a lawsuit, as someone deemed an “Anti-Fascist,” a civil complaint to the FBI Director, Mr. Kashyap Pramod Patel, seemed a logical recourse to possibly settle this amicably as they would be the one in charge of investigating fallacious claims of “terrorism” against President Trump’s ongoing McCarthy-esque compaign of “chilling speech.”

Otherwise, this Executive Order would fit into the “overbreadth doctrine” (Thornhill v. Alabama, 1940). As clarified in Broadrick v. Oklahoma (1973), this doctrine would allow a citizen “to challenge a statute not because their own rights of free expression are violated, but because of a judicial prediction or assumption that the statute's very existence may cause others not before the court to refrain from constitutionally protected speech or expression.”

In layman’s terms, I wouldn’t need to wait for proof of “damages” that the FBI, for instance, tried to hack my phone or violated my or some other rando progressive’s privacy via some flimsy, overly broad (“overbreadth”) BS accusation of terrorism just because we rightfully described today’s so-called MAGA movement to “fascism,” which, according to the Holocaust Museum, is a “far-right…ultranationalist, authoritarian political philosophy. It combines elements of nationalism, militarism, economic self-sufficiency, and totalitarianism. It opposes communism, socialism, pluralism, individual rights and equality, and democratic government.”

The “overbreadth doctrine” is rarely used, seeing as most lawmakers had been fairly conscious of running afoul of clarifying, major free speech Supreme Court rulings in the last fifty years. Plus, very few Americans had an appetite for McCarthy-era seconds.

“Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness,” lawyer Joseph N. Welch said to Senator Joseph McCarthy as people grew disgusted of his Stephen Miller-esque squaeking. “Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last?”

As for myself, I am already part of an ongoing federal lawsuit against the State of Montana after I was banned from doing an Indigenous history lecture at a local library. The reason for the cancellation was my being transgender would be in alleged violation of an anti-free speech drag law. I diasgreed on grounds it js anti-1st Amendment, authoritarian overreach. Trans people have existed in the America’s since time immemorial. Our ancestors’ voices were the first heard across these lands thousands of years ago. To try and silence Indigenous history and trans’ voices by inventing a “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism” hoax to do so in order to deflect from a flailing economy and Epstein files is peak cowardly scapegoating.

But I digress. The Executive Order keeps equating being against fascism as “threatening” others and promoting “violence.”

As a researcher and journalist, the U.S. Government technically considers my investigative jouralism of white nationalists and hate groups a terroristic act described as “routine doxing of and other threats against political figures and activists.”

The irony is, I am a pacifist who literally had what could easily be called a targeted hate crime against me by people these so-called “activists.”

That all being said, I kept the actual complaint short. I stated:

On September 22, 2025 I have been wrongly accused of being part of a "Domestic Terrorism Organization" based on my beliefs that condemn fascism on account of the DESIGNATING ANTIFA AS A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION signed by President Trump.

As I am a pacifist, this will cause great harm on many levels as is this a form of schotastic terrorism against myself in a blatant effort of "suppressing lawful political speech. This organized effort designed to achieve policy objectives by coercion and intimidation is domestic terrorism."¹

Not only is this anti-American, this is a blatant violation of 1st Amendment protected speech laws, as well as 14th Amendment due process laws to be deemed a terrorist based on being Anti-fascist.

The complaint form also asked if I had any further statements to add, and I did:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

In October of 2023, group of almost 20 far-right, masked white nationalists and Nazis stood in front of the Har Shalom synagogue in Missoula, yelling generic slogans like "White power!" in a megaphone with a swastika sticker to those who approached.

They were mostly clad in black sweatshirts with swastikas, SS symbols, and their various hate group affiliations. While about half were Montana residents, some confirmed/identified had traveled from nearby states like Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming.

The 3N, Northwest Nationalist Network, had tried to intimidage attendees at small town pride events in Centralia, Washington (pop. 19,000) and even Lander, Wyoming (pop.7,450) after they had tried to interrupt Pride Events in Livingston, then Bozeman Drag Queen story hour in May earlier that year along with groups that include the Vinland Rebels (Idaho, Wash.) and Evergreen (Wash.) Active Club leader whose leader, Daniel Rowe, served prison time for stabbing a couple on the account they were interracial. He carried a knife with him in Bozeman.

While White Lives Matter groups insist they are a peaceful organizations despite their ethnic cleansing end goal, another affiliated group in Montana, the Big Sky Active Club, has roots that proudly stem from violence as as they are offshoots of the Rise Above Movement (RAM) who became renown in white nationalist circles for their violence. Several even plead guilty in federal courts to conspiracy to riot Charlottesville rallies, and RAM's founder, Robert Rundo, was sentenced by feds in December 2024 for his involvement in particpating and fermenting violence at various rallies in California.

A leader of the Big Sky Active Club, Andrew "Sal" Salacinski, has lived back and forth from Billings to currently in the Clyde Park (near Livingston). Salacinski was formerly part of the National Socialist Movement (whose origins stem from the American Nazi Party), and, much like old school skinheads, openly wears swastikas.

While using the popularity of MMA fighting, today's "Active Clubs" strive to offer disillusioned young men a greater purpose through fitness, outdoor activities, and the "brotherhood" of finding like-minded bigots who think the only thing important about someone is the color of their skin.

BSAC and associated WLM members once showed up armed to a Missoula Trans Day of Visibility event in 2023, yelling things like "pedophiles get the rope!" and "Weimar conditions require Weimar solutions!" in reference to how Nazis targeted LGBTQ people in the 1930s. Salacinski wore a Nazi army helmet.

Since I helped track this disgusting vandalism of scenic/sacred Montana public lands to the BSAC Salacinaki took credit for it while he posed for selfies near the vandalized site, Salacinski responded by making hinted threats of violence at me and other Indigenous peoples.

In late November 2024, it is suspected Salacinski was at least one of those who intended to incite violence via a hate crime when nearly 100 fliers were placed around the blocks surrounding my then residence which claimed because I am trans, I am a "groomer" and danger to children.

While BSAC has been careful this time to claim credit for the hate crime, an offshoot white nationalist group (who knew BSAC) calling itself the National Park Patrol posted evidence of the hate crime.

Patriot Front trying to make Montana inroads

Patriot Front members visited the Little Bighorn Battlefield—an hour away from Billings—to apparrently honor how Custer was pwnd by my Cheyenne relatives and Lakota.

Big Sky Active Club has recently formed closer ties to the Patriot Front group who showed up last Spring to a Livingston Pride event. While there, they all yelled at the local fairground wall outside the event along with WLM members and the aforementioned Tyler Vance.

Many Patriot Front members were identified after they came out the back of a Uhaul at a Pride Event in north Idaho. Despite this widely publically available information, many conservatives have accused them of all being undercover federal agents who want to make “the right” look bad.

While relations between Montana and Patriot Front groups seem fledgling, it is important to note PF’s intent to try and make inroads in Montana, so we as a society must not be taken aback if they show up at more Montana events in the coming years.

While I am a strong believer in reform and redemption of individuals, realize white nationalist and fascist ideology is a ruinous virus upon society that deems respect for fellow humans who are LGBTQ or not white etc as a sign weakness.

You have to push back against these coward bullies, and and not allow them to fester, or they will plant roots in your community and poison the minds of guillible, disillusioned young people with the “adrenaline” of hate.

They said said they weren't sure if they should have removed it, or leave it as they did for law enforcement to investigate as evidence of a hate crime.

The forwarded a picture of a colored flier with bold, red letters above me stating, “PARENTS BEWARE!” The libelous text below said I was a “Transexual child groomer” and “not to be trusted around children” amongst other demeaning language implying I was a pedophile.

I thanked the person for the heads up, and said I would go take it down myself because if there was one flier, there would undoubtedly be more based on how the white supremacists I suspected of doing it operated.

Sure enough, on my way to investigate, nearly every light post and dumpster in the vicinity had this gross message plastered on it.

It was a long night pulling down some forty fliers until five a.m. spread out over a couple of square miles surrounding the immediate Billings, Montana area where I reside. A local middle school and church areas were hit particularly hard. During this time, the first heavy snow of the year fell. I caught a few hours rest, then went back out to pull down another thirty-plus fliers. Based on other people who reported, it must have been some eighty to one-hundred fliers posted.

While not expecting much action to be taken, I would later file a police report detailing to law enforcement who I suspected of doing it and why: aforementioned white supremacists who in 2023, harassed a Butte, Montana library into canceling my Indigenous history lecture about LGBTQ and Two Spirit people during the first week of pride month.

As a Northern Cheyenne He'emane'o (trans woman), I deem it important we teach such history so we can gain greater empathy towards one another as education is the best tool against ignorance and hate.

Instead, the Butte Silver-Bow County acquiesced to the harassment, and said my not wearing clothes of my biological gender violated a Montana anti-drag law recently enacted. As this news made national headlines, I was threatened with being lynched, being dragged with a four-wheeler, and this hate carried on over to the recent hate crime fliers.

A white supremacist group calling itself the Nationalist Park Patrol, who’ve filmed themselves harassing local migrant construction workers by accusing them of being pedophiles in Bozeman, first posted pics of the fliers sent via supposed “anonymous” activists. The post noted if any of their followers see me, contact them so they can confront me.

In a follow-up post, and perhaps fearing they may too face hate crime charges, the white nationalists gave a mocking denial of involvement, saying perhaps it was my (of course, non-existent) “Jewish boyfriend” who put up the fliers. Of course, they immediately reiterated exactly what the flier said as to give a nod and wink to their followers to note they were definitely involved.

After the hate crime fliers made local news, many in Montana social media comment sections were filled with laugh reactions on Facebook, in doing so carrying water for white supremacists. Others said maybe I needed to be investigated to make sure I wasn't grooming kids, and "God fearing Americans" needed to diligently protect against my "sick and vile ways" of being trans.

Billings, once renowned as the town which united to stand up against Nazis during the 1990s in a powerful show of solidarity that became the impetus of a national "Not In Our Town" movement, had been infected with trans derangement syndrome like much of the country.

Residents still cling to the decades-old NIOT happening as proof we are a community where “hate has no home,” but this nostalgia ironically ends up whitewashing past and present hate.

After conservatives realized being anti-abortion was no longer a popular issue to hitch their wagon to, they pushed $215 million worth of dehumanizing propaganda at us in the 2024 election cycle. But even back in 2020, it was reported that right-leaning news about trans people accounted for 43.33 million Facebook ragebait interactions. By comparison, conservatives literally talked about trans people four times more about than queer people themselves, with all LGBTQ news outlets having a combined 10.13 million interactions.

And because a tiny fraction of a fraction of trans women play sports (in different states, no less, if you’re in Montana), that’s becomes a "whataboutism" cudgel to queer bash and excuse to pass a bevy of other anti-trans legislation.

A recent proposed Montana law says I could be hunted down with my personal information gathered by other citizens to be sued if I dare go pee myself in a women's restroom stall.

The irony is while they claim this will protect women and children from supposedly dangerous trans people–just as the libelous hate crime flier directed at me noted–almost half of trans people have been sexually assaulted, according to National Sexual Violence Resource Center. Predators deem us easy, vulnerable targets as %58 of us are not likely to speak to law enforcement or government agencies out of fear of them as well.

A shocking %65 of my fellow Indigenous trans people have been sexual assault victims. I count myself as a survivor amongst that grim statistic I once hid with shame, but now Montana republicans seem determined to make me relive trauma.

And for transgender men, they too will be physically assaulted if they step into a women’s restroom, as happened in when a trans man was beaten for following Ohio bathroom laws. And when a trans girl student at a Minnesota high in June of last year used the men’s room, she was assaulted and hospitalized after being called a slur.

This is what happens when conservatives convince their voters a marginalized community is subhuman, and then paint bullseyes on their back with targeted legislation.

This summer while political canvassing, a man freaked out on me when I told him I was trans after he asked several times. Even though I quickly left, he jumped in his truck, sped at me like he was going to run me over, slammed on his brakes to yell a bunch of slurs at me, and then scream, “Trump is going to get rid of all you tranny faggots!”

Feeling unsafe after the hate crime fliers, I left Montana for a couple of weeks to ponder a seemingly bleak future where anti-trans legislation would be at the top of the local GOP agenda the next month.

With great reluctance–and sometimes regret–I came back to the place now called Montana, under the skies where my Cheyenne ancestors fought to literal near extinction just for me to exist, this land where colonization has oft made me feel like an alien.

In my history lecture, the one that got canceled due to current Montana law, I talk about how Two Spirit, or Indigenous trans women and men, have existed in the Americas since time immemorial. The late Cheyenne/Seminole and Two Spirit elder, Marlon Fixico, told me our He'emane'o word means, "he is a woman," as in, born male but their heart and soul is that of a woman.

So my being trans is not some made up "ideology," but just something inherent in my and other Indigenous cultures as well as humanity itself.

A colonizer Manifest Destiny mentality, however, would try to erase this acceptance as common decency and teachings of respect towards members of my queer ilk.

In efforts to erase our identities, “Kill the Indian, save the man,” a phrase coined by Richard Henry Pratt of the infamous Carlisle Indian School in Pennsylvania, became a de facto motto for boarding schools as our elders experienced literal torture and rampant sexual abuse in efforts to be taught to be ashamed of who we are.

“Let all that is Indian within you die!” said Rev. J.A. Lippincott at the Carlisle commencement address. Students were told they could never become “truly American … until the Indian within you is dead.”

And many did not make it home to grieving parents, and instead were left in unmarked graves far away from their homelands.

We were not to be thankful as our ancestors were to our respective Creator, or are sistren Earth and brethren animal siblings who provided, but instead taught to fear the white man’s Jesus symbolized by a corpse hung on a terrible torture device.

Associate professor of religious studies and American studies at the University of New Mexico, Kathleen Holscher, told the Mountain West News Bureau the worst pedophilic priests were sent to look over Indigenous children, “Because they knew that if they put them on a Native mission, nobody would complain, or if people did complain, nobody would listen to them.”

On the bottom of the white supremacist-created hate crime flier directed at me, the last words read, “Stay safe and God Bless America!”

At the Little Big Horn Battlefield, there are several headstones scattered about with Cheyenne names. They are engraved with the words, "A Cheyenne Warrior fell here on June 25, 1876 while defending the Cheyenne Way of Life."

When one is Indigenous, especially in a state like Montana, we are often relegated not as humane, feeling individuals with our own dreams, hope, passions, and love with our own stories to tell, but as noble, stoic, savage caricatures in the "background"–a part of the mountain or prairie scenery to a supposedly greater, white folk narrative.

ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2023, former MSU Bobcat star and NFL player Dane Fletcher went on a local Bozeman the KBZK News to chat about a locally viral video post in regard to his frustrations with the growing number of homeless "urban campers" his hometown had seen as a swell of wealthy outsiders displaced many working-class people.

A June 2024 NBC Montana piece titled, “Bozeman's rental market among most expensive,” notes at the $2,400 median rental rate for “populous cities,” only New York City, LA, and San Diego were higher than Bozeman’s

Fletcher was less concerned about wealthy outsiders displacing locals, and wanted the city to do more about those who lived in campers or cars who oft worked for the ultra-rich at places like the nearby Big Sky Resort, which boasts of the “largest concentration of billionaires anywhere outside New York City.”

“(U.S. Senator, MT) Sheehy represents a new wave of ultrawealthy folks who see Montana as their personal playground...Privatizing these lands would devastate local economies and turn Montana into a ‘pay to play’ state where only the rich can afford to enjoy the outdoors. “We have to get the right people in place, take over these positions, and take back Bozeman,” Fletcher told KBZK.

The very same day the interview aired, Fletcher's "Take Back Bozeman" words also became the name of a Facebook and Instagram group.

While the group intially seemed citizens speaking up about local issues regarding safety concerns, sanitation issues, etc, soon its primary purpose seemed to delve into bullying local city council members and non-whites.

Following President Trump’s inauguration, Take Back Bozeman has upped it’s racist rhetoric, manifesting by sending a creepy message to a local, Montana-born medical school student taunting her that they reported her to ICE in efforts to harass her.

What was alleged crime that made Take Back Bozeman terrorize a young, bright woman and aspiring woman medical student?

She has more skin melanin than these trashy people do, plus, she is able to also speak a language besides English.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on November 24, 2024 someone Facebook messaged and said they saw my name on a flier on a dumpster in an alley between 10th and 11th Alderson Avenue in Billings, Montana, and thought I should know about it because they were not sure if they should take it down, or leave it for possible evidence of a hate crime.

I told them I would go check it out because if it were the people I suspected of doing it, there would likely be more. There was. (About 80-100.)

Based on the words “transexual child groomer” and use of my old name “Adrian,” I knew it was likely the neo nazi “Big Sky Active Club” (as well as National Socialist Movement) member Andrew “Sal” Salacinski. He is also affilated with the White Lives Matter Montana hate group.

Salacinski is notorious for putting up white nationalist propaganda and has issued what easily could be construed as a violent threats at me in the past as pictured on this February 17 post from 2023.

“So, you might know someone who obsessively hates you that much in that they would do such a thing like put up 100 colored hate speech fliers of you?” “Yes.”

In this Twitter screenshot, Salacinski’s handle is replying to me about dragging me in a 4 wheeler. His ilk got me banned from doing an Indigenous history lecture at a Butte, Mont. library because of Montana anti-drag law the week prior.

Unlike many white nationalists in similar groups, Salacinski does little to disguise his involvement, often not even wearing a mask as others do while doing things like having his notable wrist tattoo visible while putting up propaganda.

He once actually posted pics of a swastika he carved into a sacred Indigenous prayer spot, and selfie at the same spot.

The Bureau of Land Management said it was legal to carve swastikas into sacred lands, apparently. No joke.

Salacinski, along with his Big Sky Active Club, White Lives Matter Montana, and other regional hate groups have been spouting vioent threats at LGBTQ events and a Jewish synagogue.

If there is a mass drop of fliers reported in Helena, Bozeman, or Billings or Miles City etc, Salacinski was likely involved.

This is why I immediately suspected him of being obsessed enough to print out that many colored fliers of me to goon to and then put on every lightpost and dumpster in the blocks surrounding my residence.

These people are unhinged.

I made my down Alderson to 7th Street West across to Broadwater up towards 14th Street West by Lewis and Clark Middle School—which was hit particularly hard with hate fliers—before going to sleep at 5:30 a.m. when it was snowing hard.

At about 11 a.m. a friend took me to take down down about 20-30 more fliers up to about 17th Street. Later, others reported they found fliers up around 20th Street West as well, so I estimate about a 80-100 fliers were put up, which suggests he likely had help.

History of Hate

As a journalist and researcher, I first wrote of of the White Lives Matter white nationalists Salacinski’s neo-nazi Big Sky Active Club group in 2022 articles.

In it, I noted concerns about my own personal safety if communities ignored looming threats:

“As an outspoken transgender Native American pacifist, I realize writing this piece potentially puts me in the crosshairs of people set on less talk, and more violence ideals. But I’ve spoken out against racism and intersectional LGBTQ-phobia too long and too hard to see those “Park Patrol” days return.”

“Park Patrol” was in reference to Neo Nazi skinheads in Billings who in the early 2000s “patrolled” Billings parks and beat up minorities.

I presume the newly formed Nationalist Park Patrol (NPP) took their name from that, as after this article was published, the Big Sky Active Club (BSAC) noted how they wanted to make me afraid, that I was in danger, and “Bring park patrols back.”

Calling me a “mentally deranged man,” the NPP celebrated the hate crime fliers of me being put up, noting one should contact them if I am seen.

In July of 2024, before they would post fliers of me, the so-called National Park Patrol put up hate propoganda footage of themselves harassing random migrant workers and accusing them all of “taking pictures of white girls” under the guise of “protecting white children” from them.

I blurred this guy’s face, but the footage is just racist POS people harassing every brown person they saw.

I feared they would likely try and do the same to me, especially as I had no vehicle and was often on foot, and they told people to contact them if they saw me.

The thing is, there is no way to contact them on their Telegram page unless you knew the administrator’s personal handle, so that led me to believe while the NPP administrator was not Salacinski, but someone affilated with him out of Bozeman.

After having posted all those pics of me and probably after they realized they could be in trouble, the NPP gave a mocking denial of i involvment that perhaps it was homosexual Jews who put up the fliers.

Then in a follow-up post they basically noted the same thing the flier had said.

While difficult to prove unless he outright admits he runs the ‘anonymous’ National Park Patrol channel, the similarities of style, white nationalist ideals—and even the exact same obscure hate content—bear a striking resemblance to that of an openly racist “narionalist” named Tyler Vance who resides in Bozeman.

In Vance’s “Montana Nationalist” Substack and on the NPP page, there is a provity of collecting dozens of mugshots of the same brown people in Montana jails to paint them all with a broad, racist brush—just like Vance’s Tik Tok page does.

And we know “Brutus”/"Montana Nationalist” is Tyler Vance because someone named Roy McKenzie promoted his work while using his real name on State Senator Theresa Manzella’s weird conspiracy-laden Telegram page which linked directly to Brutus/Montana Nationalist’s works.

Follow the Vance links, which end up at? “I choose racist,” which is certainly a…take.

It must be noted, it was out of Montana State Senator Theresa Manzella’s “Mountain movers” group that outted Vance’s alias via gay Q Anoner, Roy McKenzie. Manzella once said it was “normal consequences” of LGBTQ people getting beaten for doing things like holding hands in public.

Perhaps McKenzie is one of the “good gays” to Manzella?

Vance initially had made the news when he claimed he was standing up against “tyranny” by eluding law and driving on the closed Beartooth Highway.

“This road predates the national park,” he said on a Facebook stream to the annoyed officers. “That’s a Montana town, and we have a right to get there.”

A true patriot—if by Patriot you mean ignorant whiner literally seeking out supposed “oppression.”

It must be noted the road, which was constructed from 1931-1936, does not predate Yellowstone National Park, which was created in 1872. Vance only reads shitty memes to do his research, apparently.

The Montana (white) Nationalists substack also had a distinct “Montana Independence” logo that was the same flag seen behind Vance on videos he made as well as his personal Gab page, thus further conferring it was him.

Like his Nazi pals, Vance has a strong hatred of Jews, and thus on his videos and the National Park Patrol page, you see one of the exact same pics he rants on both of them.

And here he is again whining about Jews ruining his life or whatever…

The Jewish Question? Curious.

And also very telling and what links is Vance to the National Park Patrol page, is his obsessive simping for the white nationalist group, Patriot Front.

Now, Patriot Front had come to protest a Pride event in Livingston, Montana in April 2024, where Vance himself had showed up.

It was love at first site for Vance regarding Patriot Front, as he frequently mentioned them in posts praising or defending them thereafter.

And as it is strange for someone in Montana to be so enamored with the young, virile, strong men of Patriot Front as Vance is…

Unconfirmed if Vance completed his own Patriot Front “training” yet.

…of course the Nationalist Park Patrol page had to post in admiration of them as well, and this coincided with Vance’s Twitter/X account speaking of Patriot Front in North Carolina.

And here is Vance reaching out to not only Patriot Front, but white lives matter and bragging up groups like Salacinski’s neo-nazi Big SkyActive Club, of course.

As a personal aside, I must state that one has to be a real piece of shit to be part of those putting up about 80-or whatever fliers basically saying this person wants to have sex with your children.

It is not only a hate crime, but stochastic terrorism as now I have to wonder if I am going to be attacked not only by the Nazi fucks who did this, but guilible conservatives who are constantly pushed anti-trans propaganda by GOP politicians, right wing grifters who make a living off rage bait, and of course, said Nazis on their side.

Here are some more highlights of Vance’s rhetoric and like his partner-in-hate-crime Andrew Salacinski, the guy is just an ugly-minded, spiteful, person who admires Hitler and apparently thinks the only thing important about a person is the color of their skin as they are such a shitty person themselves.

“Violence is like a weed—it does not die even in the greatest drought,” famed Nazi hunter Simon Weisenthal once noted.

He also said, “Information is resistance,” so armed with my proverbial pen, I write these things to help better educate and #resist against bigoted ignorance.

And instead of feeling vulnerable and in the dark, perhaps this information perhaps makes me as well as other Montanans feel a bit more enlightened and ergo empowered to stand up to such hate.

Some 80 or s terroristic fliers targeting me have been pulled down—most the same night they were placed.

Early Sunday morning around 2 a.m., I laid down, exhausted from a long week of outdoor work, but looking forward to a day off and a breakfast date at 9 a.m.

As I plugged my phone in to charge before I planned to sleep, a Facebook messenger notification came via a name I didn't recognize.

A Good Samaritan had just seen a flier with my name on it, appalled by its disgustingly hateful intent, and they were not sure if they should go back and take it down or leave it for potential law enforcement evidence.

They sent a pic of it. Based on how it was placed with a type of spray glue, I knew the culprits were likely a collective of white natiobalist conservatives who also put out a lot of Nazi propoganda across the state in recent years.

In fact, one of their associates, Trenin Bayless, had gotten a shocking number of votes as a Montana Republican candidate in Butte despite local media denoting his links to extremists.

I told the Good Samaitan if there was one flier, and knowing these people, there would be a lot more in the area. I would go pull them down.

So pull them down I did.

In a 10 block long stretch from the main road areas of Grand Avenue to Broadwater from 7th Street West to at least 18th Street West. I walked the silent streets of Billings from 3 a.m.til 5:30 a.m. Thus is the duty of an Antifascists.

The first snows broke the bitter cold air about 4 a.m., my feet scrunching the only noise as I pulled down some 40-ish colored-ink fliers on dumpsters, lightposts, and on all 4 corners of traffic lights.

I woke up, and pulled down a bunch more.

Around the block I live, the fliers were particularly dense, denoting this was not only targeted intimidation at someone they deemed a "left wing extremist" (i.e. "we know where you live") but also a coordinated team effort based on the sheer number of fliers spread out.

The fliers themselves read like tired, typical boomer-tier scare propoganda. It calls me a "groomer" of children with libelous and ridiculous implications I am a danger to children because of drag queen story hour.

It also has two pics of me, one selfie I randomly took while at Walmart the other week where I thought I looked cute, and one pic—designed to scare normies, no doubt—where I am in “goth attire" attending an rave/EDM event.

The motto at such events is P.L.U.R, or Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.

The logic—or lack thereof—children are not safe around because I am transgender, was used as an anti-First Amendment reason to ban me from doing an Indigenous history lecture at a local Butte library.

“Free speech warriors”—who only seem to care about defending slurs—have never spoken out against this obvious anti-1st Amendment violation. Curious.

City officials cowered to the demand of white nationalist republicans like the GOP's Bayless and other Nazis who took credit for canceling my speech. In fact, an alias account of Bayless was the first to reply—and as this flier says—and they called me a "child groomer."

The republicans and outright Hitler-worshiping Nazis who promote violence (one of their main leaders has done felony time for violence) must have put in some serious time and effort all to target and try intimidate a single, Indigenous trans woman. They must have ran through a few pricey colored ink cartridges, as well.

But as one of the rare people in Montana who dares speaks out against their toxic, ruinous white supremacist antisemitic ideology that promotes—as according to their own "white lives matter' handbook—genocide of non-whites and LGBTQ folks, I get why they think my free speech is a threat that must be silenced with proposed violence at me based on their bland implications I am a pedophile.

So…genocide and ethnic cleansing?

The so-called "Nationalist Park Patrol" took credit for this targeted terroristic action as they took to social media bragging of their terroristic action, and they say you should contact them so they can presumably confront/assualt me or whatever they plan on doing.
