How the talks fell apart

The “Lake America” episode and public reaction

The political temperature rose further when Trump signed an executive order renaming Lake Ontario “Lake America” on U.S. maps. Google Maps began displaying the new label for some American users. Ontario Premier Doug Ford dismissed the move as “like something out of Saturday Night Live,” insisting the lake has been Ontario for hundreds of years and will remain so. 4. Massachusetts Case – Kurt and Karen Solomon

Worcester police officer Kurt Solomon (31-year veteran) was found dead at home on August 18 from sharp-object injuries. His wife, Karen Solomon (58), a well-known mental-health advocate for first responders who co-founded the nonprofit First H.E.L.P. and wrote two books on the topic, was named a suspect and went missing.
