Happy Virgo season! I hope everyone is doing okay with these eclipses. We’ve got one eclipse down, one to go, and this Virgo season it will be a final lunar eclipse in Pisces, closing out the Pisces eclipse series that has been ongoing since 2024.

As usual, I will first be going over all of the major transits happening this Virgo season, and then paid subscribers can keep reading to find out what everything means for their individual rising sign and chart. The podcast version of the monthly transits is also out now if you want to get a weekly breakdown of the month ahead.

The main theme for this Virgo season is that the Sun is moving through Virgo from August 22 - September 22. Virgo season is a time for getting organized, finding structure in your everyday schedule, and also prioritizing self care. You may want to lean more into exercise, healthy eating, or uncovering little ways to be more productive each day. I would say that Virgo can sometimes be a little too self critical, so try to remind yourself that not everything has to be done so perfectly, it just matter that it’s done.

Right after the Sun moves into Virgo, it will be followed by Mercury entering Virgo from August 25 - September 10. Mercury rules the sign of Virgo, so Mercurial areas like writing and speaking work, as well as everyday communication, will likely flow more easily during this couple of weeks. This would be an ideal time to tackle any editing work or make progress on learning a new skill, compiling a presentation, or putting out short form content. There will be a Sun-Mercury cazimi in Virgo on August 27 at 4 degrees, so you may notice that this day is especially busy with social interactions or handling a lot of smaller tasks and errands at work and in your everyday life.

Just as Virgo season is getting started, there will be a lunar eclipse in Pisces on August 28. This lunar eclipse will occur at 4 degrees of Pisces, and will be the last of three Pisces eclipses that have taken place since September 2024. Therefore, it may serve as a final push to make a change or start up something in the Pisces ruled house of your chart. Pisces is definitely a more emotional, intuitive side, so it could be that you’re feeling all of the emotions around the end of August, or you could be taking some space to be by yourself to tend to a spiritual or journaling practice. You will be building greater trust in what your own instincts are telling you, and this lunar eclipse may also inspire you to be more compassionate to people or connect on a deeper level in your relationships.

The ruling planet of this eclipse is Jupiter, which is currently in the sign of Leo. At the time of this eclipse, Jupiter will be forming an exact trine to Saturn in Aries, so you may notice this positive link happening between the Leo and Aries house themes in your chart at the end of August. You might be furthering your education in these areas of your life or building something that feels more meaningful to you. Also note how the changes happening in the Pisces ruled house of your chart where the eclipse is taking place tie back in with themes of the Leo ruled house, almost like a throwback to the solar eclipse we just experienced there. As we’ll continue to see throughout the rest of this year and into early 2027, the themes of the Leo ruled house of your chart will continue to go through this bigger reflection and reworking process.

In addition, this lunar eclipse in Pisces will be almost exactly squaring Uranus in Gemini, so you may notice fast paced changes occurring at the end of August in an area of your life, or this eclipse may urge you to make a decision or free yourself from anything that has felt restricting recently, especially pertaining to the mutable sign houses in your chart. However, you may feel a little unsettled for a few days around August 28.

A few days later, Mars in Cancer will come into a square with Saturn in Aries on September 1, which is not the most pleasant energy. There may be something frustrating that comes up around this time, or a project or relationship may require extra patience and effort. You may need to put much more energy into something than you had anticipated, or something you’re working on may be slow to develop. Also because Mars in Cancer can be so emotionally reactive, try to be aware of how you’re approaching conflict at this time. If you’re super emotional about something in the moment, it may be worth stepping back and cooling off for a few days before talking about it.

We then skip ahead quite a bit to September 10, when a new moon in Virgo occurs. This new moon will take place at 18 degrees of Virgo, and will be ruled by Mercury, which moves into Libra on this very same day. If it’s slow to see major developments happen in the Virgo ruled house of your chart throughout the end of August and early September, you will likely see activity take hold there more once this new moon takes place. You may also feel a lot more motivated to implement healthy habits or a greater sense of routine around mid September, especially as the new moon gets a positive boost in energy from its sextile to Mars in Cancer. In addition, notice how you see the Libra and Virgo ruled houses of your chart influencing each other.

At the time of this new moon, Mercury in Libra will be building to an opposition with Neptune in Aries, which will go exact on September 12. So it may be that for just a couple of days following the new moon, you feel extra sensitive, or you may find it hard to focus on super detailed tasks and information. Instead, allow yourself to brainstorm or tap into the intuitive and creative side of your brain.

Venus also changes signs on September 10, as it moves into Scorpio, where it will station retrograde on October 3. Venus will remain in Scorpio until October 25 before returning to Libra during its retrograde. After the retrograde is over, Venus will once again return to Scorpio from December 4 - January 7, for a wrap up of this Venus in Scorpio storyline that is being started on September 10. So when you’re looking at the Scorpio ruled house of your chart, it may be that you’re going through a bigger transitional period here over the next four months. You may be seeking greater balance in this part of your life, or you’re trying to find ways to bring more of your creativity into this area. There could also be a relationship or interest you need to revisit from your past, and you could be thinking about how you can be a better partner or friend to someone. Venus in Scorpio specifically will have you wanting to go deeper in your relationships, and you might be developing greater intimacy with people by opening up about what is bothering you or learning how to better trust someone.

However, Venus will oppose Chiron in Taurus on September 10, the first day that Venus is in Scorpio, so once again this new moon period doesn’t look the easiest. It may be that you’re addressing a relationship insecurity or working to heal a past emotion you have from a relationship, whether that be platonic or romantic.

And then we end the month with Mercury in Libra opposing Saturn in Aries on September 18. Whereas you may have felt a bit distracted or overly sensitive just the week before, by the time we reach the last few days of Virgo season, you may be putting a lot of mental focus into one specific task. This would also be a good transit to accomplish more writing or speaking related projects under, or a communication project you’re developing may require some careful editing or research. In your everyday commute or any traveling that you’re doing around this date, you may run into some delays or minor frustrations, so you may want to carve out extra time to get where you’re going.

As Virgo season comes to a close, the eclipses will be over, but we still have a couple of serious retrogrades gearing up to begin in October.

During my 7th house Saturn return a few years ago, I wrote an entire book on the astrology of relationship patterns, synastry, and relationship timing. Since then, I’ve been kind of done with this topic, like I had exhausted all I wanted to say on the astrology of relationships for the time being. However, what I love most about astrology is that you’re never truly done learning, and there’s always new information to add to your encyclopedia about how different transits, birth chart placements, etc, play out. And with the North Node now transiting my 7th house, I’ve been brought back to the topic of relationships, and I’ve ended up recording two podcast episodes in the past month with other astrologers where synastry came up as a theme in our conversations.

In addition, through trying to guess what my child’s chart might be, I’ve naturally been thinking about the complexities of a synastry chart and how my child’s birth chart will align in different ways with both my chart and my husband’s. To me, synastry has never really been about being “compatible” with someone, as you are naturally drawn to people with whom you share similar signs, it’s not something you need to seek out. Or in the case of having a child, your child’s chart will automatically align with your own in similar ways, and you really have no control here! I also view synastry as something that needs to go hand in hand with relationship timing for both people in order for a relationship to work in the long term. I wanted to expand upon these various topics a bit further, so below I’ve compiled some further relationship astrology observations that have come to me over the past couple of years.

I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant, and it feels surreal that there is less than a month until I give birth. I’ve had nine months and even time before that to mentally prepare myself for this major life change, and in many ways I feel a lot more ready to become a mother now than I did even a few weeks ago. I’ve accepted that one era of my life is over, and I’m excited to finally meet my daughter and see what comes next. I also find it very fitting that I’m having my first child the same month that a solar eclipse happens in Leo, the sign of my ascendant, followed by a Pisces lunar eclipse in the sign of my moon - a literal identity change through becoming a mother. Eclipses are actually the biggest catalyst for change in astrology and with eclipse season quickly approaching, I want to get into how you can time major shifts in your own life by tracking eclipses to your chart.

Pregnancy is unique in that you have such a long lead time to reflect on this big transition you’re about to experience, when most other life changes often take you by surprise or just happen a lot more quickly. However, whether it’s having a baby, moving to a new city, leaving one career path behind to pivot into another, or getting out of a relationship that no longer feels aligned, with all of these bigger life changes there’s still the underlying theme of needing to take a risk at a certain point and trust that everything will work out. There are only two other times within the last ten years when I felt similarly to how I do now in the days leading up to giving birth, and both of these experiences also happened to coincide with Leo eclipses on my ascendant. One was when I moved to New York in 2017 without a job or an apartment lined up and somehow made it work, and the other was in 2019 when I gave notice at my job and quit to be a full time astrologer.

These were both big risks, and I didn’t know if I would be successful, but in each of these instances, it was only once I took the leap that new opportunities actually began to open up. If I held onto what was comfortable, I would have never gotten to that next new phase of my life. As much as giving birth and being in charge of a child is scary to me, I’m trying to keep these past experiences in mind as a reminder that historically what has followed my decision to make a big change has ended up being better than what I was doing before it. Over time, I’ve come to love how eclipses push you to take these risks and serve to set you off in a new direction, so I want to help you to better understand and love eclipses too!

Where is change currently happening for you?

From July 26, 2026 - March 26, 2028, the North and South Nodes are in Aquarius and Leo. Not only do the Nodes indicate the signs in which eclipses are occurring throughout a 1.5 - 2 year period, they also show where you’re seeing the most significant growth take place and where you might be experiencing endings but also new beginnings. So as a more general first step, you can always identify the two houses in your chart ruled by Aquarius and Leo to note what themes will be more prominent for you over the next year and a half. In the diagram below, you can see how the Nodes are now transiting this person’s 5th and 11th houses. (Or you can also revisit your Leo season horoscopes where I explain what this transit means for each rising sign.)

However, we are also still wrapping up the Pisces/Virgo eclipse cycle, with one more lunar eclipse in each of these signs over the next six months. A final Pisces eclipse takes place on August 28, followed by a final Virgo eclipse on February 20. In addition, within the next year, the Cancer/Capricorn eclipse series will have begun, as we get the first Capricorn lunar eclipse as early as July 2027. With so many eclipses taking place in all of these different signs, it’s important to zero in on which ones will be most impactful for you. Below, I’ve put a checklist for how you can do that.

Do you have planets or angles in the sign in which an eclipse is taking place?

If an eclipse is taking place in a sign in which you know you have planets or angles in, that eclipse will automatically be a bigger deal for you. The upcoming eclipses in August are in Leo and Pisces, so if you have a Leo sun for instance, or a Pisces Midheaven, then you would want to take note of these eclipses more than someone who doesn’t have any significant chart placements in these signs. Below is the solar eclipse in Leo taking place on someone’s Leo moon.

To interpret what an eclipse activating a natal chart placement means, you would blend the eclipse theme of change with the topics of the planet affected. A solar eclipse can signify both an ending, but also a new start that isn’t quite visible yet, while a lunar eclipse shows more of a culmination of activity or realizations being made. Here are a few examples:

Solar eclipse on your Sun = tapping into different interests, goals, and sides of your identity, more major life events that make you think of yourself differently are likely to happen in the weeks surrounding an eclipse

Lunar eclipse on your Moon = seeing greater activity happen within your family or changes to your home and family life occur in the weeks surrounding this eclipse

Lunar eclipse on your Descendant angle = experiencing greater activity in your relationships or making an important realization about the future of a partnership

Solar eclipse on your Midheaven angle = wanting to pivot in a different career direction, but the answers or results here might not be visible yet, bigger work projects and opportunities may also get initiated in the weeks following this eclipse

If you do have chart placements in the sign in which an eclipse is occurring, note the degree in which that natal planet or angle falls. Does that degree match up closely to where an eclipse is happening?

There will be a series of eclipses that take place back and forth across two signs over about a 1.5 - 2 year long period. For reference, there will have been three eclipses in Pisces and four eclipses in Virgo between September 2024 - February 2027. That’s a lot of Pisces/Virgo eclipses to keep track of! To narrow this down a bit, you will want to look at the degrees in which all of these eclipses are taking place and note which ones fall closest to a planet or angle in your chart. Below is a table of upcoming eclipses and the degrees at which they’re occurring. You can also find a full list with even more eclipse dates here.

If you identify that one of these eclipses will fall very close in degree to a planet or angle in your chart, you can know that the weeks leading up to and immediately following that eclipse will likely hold greater change for you that relates back to the themes of that planet or angle. For instance, if you have an Aquarius rising at 5 degrees of Aquarius, then out of the four Aquarius eclipses total, the final one in January 2028, which happens at 6 degrees of Aquarius, would be the most important for you. It could be that around that time you notice a bigger shift take place in your life, where you’re coming up with new goals, pivoting in a different direction with work or your personal life, or receiving more attention from people.

I gave a reading to someone a couple of weeks ago, who has their Pisces Moon at 3 degrees in their 5th house. 5th house eclipses are notorious for bringing up greater romantic activity, and even though she had already experienced two Pisces eclipses to her 5th house since 2024, it wasn’t until a couple of months before this final one, occurring just one degree away from her 5th house Moon placement that she got into a relationship. Moon themes have been relevant for her in the lead up to this eclipse too, because the new relationship has her thinking more about would she move in with this person in the future, and they are also planning to meet one another families right around the time of this final Pisces eclipse in late August.

Even if you have no planets in a sign in which an eclipse is happening, still note what houses in your chart are getting activated by a pair of eclipses. How are you seeing both of those house themes be relevant at the same time?

As I mentioned earlier, you can identify the houses ruled by Aquarius and Leo in your chart to see what themes will be experiencing the most change throughout the rest of 2026 and into 2027, since the are the two signs the nodes are now transiting. However, it’s not always the case that an eclipse season will bring eclipses that are in signs exactly opposite to each other. For instance, this upcoming one has one eclipse still in Pisces, while it introduces the new eclipse cycle starting up in Leo. Similarly, the eclipses that took place in February/March 2026 and which will repeat again in February 2027 are a continuation of Virgo while blending in Aquarius.

The houses in your chart ruled by Virgo and Aquarius don’t really share similar themes, yet both of these house topics will set the stage for the six months that follow these eclipses. You will see the themes of one house influencing the other. For instance, if you are a Sagittarius rising with a Virgo 10th house and an Aquarius 3rd house (see chart above), you may have noticed that there’s been more travel for work, or you could have been busier with writing, presentations, or tending to other communication based projects for your career. Meanwhile, the August 2027 eclipses will be fully Leo and Aquarius, instead of Virgo and Aquarius, so with this same Sagittarius rising chart, that eclipse season would be more geared towards education, like how you can find time for bigger picture learning or exploring your spiritual beliefs, while still finding ways to make your ideas and knowledge accessible through short form content or other types of communication based work.

Note what the ruling planet of the eclipse is and if that ruling planet is currently transiting an important part of your chart.

The final tip for seeing how an eclipse season may play out for you is to note where the ruling planet of each eclipse is transiting at the time of that eclipse. Exceptions to this rule would be an eclipse in Leo or Cancer, as those are ruled by the Sun and Moon respectively, so another house and sign in the chart won’t be relevant.

Both of the eclipses in August refer back to the sign of Leo. The Leo solar eclipse on August 12 already has the ruling planet, the Sun, in Leo. Meanwhile, the Pisces lunar eclipse on August 28 is ruled by Jupiter, which is currently transiting Leo at the time of this eclipses. So this eclipse season in particular is super important for people who have Leo chart placements. In the diagram below, you can see how even though this is a Pisces lunar eclipse activating this person’s 4th house, it will still tie back in with 9th house themes, since that is where Jupiter is currently transiting.

To contrast, last September’s Pisces lunar eclipse had its ruling planet Jupiter transiting the sign of Cancer, and the one prior to that in September 2024 had the ruling planet Jupiter transiting Gemini. So for instance, if you’re someone who has prominent Cancer planets in your chart, then maybe last year’s Pisces lunar eclipse was more impactful than this year’s will be. Going back to how I’ll be giving birth this month, this major life event is timed to now, because Jupiter will be exactly on my Leo ascendant at the time of the Pisces lunar eclipse. So themes of identity and bigger life shifts are becoming more relevant for me.

To give a couple of other examples, the Aquarius solar eclipses from 2026 - 2028 will all be ruled by Saturn in Aries, so every time there’s an Aquarius eclipse over the next year and a half, it will also affect the Aries ruled house of your chart and any planets placed there. Meanwhile, the Virgo eclipses are all ruled by Mercury, which happens to be in different signs at the time of each of these eclipses.

• March 2025 Virgo lunar eclipse was ruled by Mercury in Aries

• September 2025 Virgo solar eclipse was ruled by Mercury in Libra

• March 2026 Virgo lunar eclipse was ruled by Mercury in Pisces

• February 2027 Virgo lunar eclipse will be ruled by Mercury in Aquarius

For example, if you’re someone who has more Libra in your chart than these other signs, you would want to look at what was happening around the September 2025 Virgo lunar eclipse and how that time may have felt more pivotal for you. For everyone though, you can always incorporate these other house topics where the eclipse ruler is transiting to get a better idea of what you will be focused on at the time of each eclipse season.

Change is in the air this month, as eclipse season begins! After a slower, likely more emotional start to July, you will start to see greater activity and shifts occur as we head into Leo season. As usual, I will first be going over all of the major transits for the month ahead, and then paid subscribers can keep reading to see what everything means for their rising sign.

The main underlying transit happening this month is that the Sun will be moving through Leo from July 22 - August 22. The Sun’s transit and also the upcoming solar eclipse in Leo will serve to amplify the year long Jupiter in Leo transit we went over last month, and you may start to feel that Jupiter transit a lot more. In general and maybe more so this year than in other years, Leo season will be a time for reconnecting with your personal creativity, finding new outlets in which to express yourself, and possibly returning to childhood interests. You may find yourself wanting to experiment more at work or with your own style or branding, or you may want to put less pressure on yourself in your career so that you have time to explore different leisure activities. You will want to get in touch with what interests and skills are uniquely yours, not what you’re doing to please other people or blend in with what everyone else is doing.

Mercury stations direct at 16 degrees of Cancer on July 23, ending its more than three week long retrograde. Throughout all of July up until this point we have had Mercury retrograde going on, so it will be nice to finally receive greater mental clarity or be able to move ahead with new plans more easily. Mercury will remain in Cancer until August 9, so you could still be thinking a lot about your home and family life, specific family dynamics, or your childhood. However, you could feel less frustrated or emotional about these areas than you have recently.

A few days later, the North and South Nodes will change signs! The North Node moves into Aquarius and the South Nodes moves into Leo on July 26, where they will remain until March 26, 2028. The Nodes have been transiting the signs of Pisces and Virgo since January 2025, so this will be a notable shift that will set the stage for the next year and half. Wherever the nodes are transiting indicates where you are experiencing the most major changes take place for a 1.5 - 2 year long period, so this month in particular you will start to notice how new beginnings, but also endings or bigger life shifts are occurring in both the Leo and Aquarius ruled houses of your chart. The last time the Nodes were in these signs was throughout 2017 & 2018, so you may see similar themes being brought back up again between now and early 2028.

Shortly after, there will be a full moon in Aquarius happening on July 29 at 6 degrees. This full moon is pretty significant, as it will be exactly conjunct Pluto in Aquarius and opposite to Jupiter in Leo. It will also awaken that major aspect between Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus and Neptune I went over in last month’s forecast. Therefore, it may have your realizing how you can better balance your community involvement with time spent on your own interests, or you could be making a lot of realizations about how you can embrace more of what sets you apart. There may also be a situation you want to break free of, or you’re noticing that you’re undergoing a lot of positive inner transformation or change right around the end of July that pertains to the Aquarius ruled house of your chart. There might be limiting relationships, mindsets, or situations that you want to leave behind with this full moon too, as you prepare for a new six month chapter to begin with the solar eclipse happening just a couple of weeks later. I very much see this full moon as an opportunity to step more into your personal power.

The ruling planet of this full moon in Aquarius is Saturn, which will have just stationed retrograde in Aries on the 26th. So in addition to seeing how greater change or realizations are being brought to the Aquarius ruled house of your chart, you could also be thinking about how you might restructure or go about your commitments and responsibilities differently in the Aries ruled house of your chart too. There may even be a connection you’re seeing between the themes of both of these houses in your chart.

On the same day as the full moon, Venus in Virgo will square Mars in Gemini. So this full moon may have a lot to do with relationships, and deciding who you want to put energy into. You might be pretty busy with social activities right at the end of July. Because both Virgo and Gemini are signs ruled by Mercury, it may be that you have more motivation to put into writing, speaking, or other types of communication based work for a few days. Ideas and new plans may come together very quickly, but you could feel very mentally on or a bit anxious as a result. Finding ways to get out of your mind and reconnect with your body may be important to do around this time.

About a week later, Venus will move into Libra from August 6 - September 10. Libra is one of the signs Venus rules, so it loves to be here. As we get a bit further into August, you may see a greater emphasis on partnerships in your life, whether that be platonic or romantic. You may be collaborating more with people at work or strengthening certain friendships. You could also be spending more time with your partner, or you could feel up for dating. Areas like art, design, and fashion may be greater interests during these several weeks too.

However, there are some tricky dates within this Venus transit to note. Around August 10-11, Venus will oppose Neptune in Aries, which may have you feeling very sensitive when it comes to relationships, or you may end up misinterpreting what someone says or feeling uncertain about where you stand in a relationship. On another note, this transit may have you reconnecting with a spiritual practice or your creativity in a bigger way. Then on August 21, Venus will oppose Saturn in Aries, which will bring a very different vibe to your relationships. You may be thinking about the long term and who you want to give your time to and further commit to. You could also need to address any underlying issues in a relationship, or you may need to put in extra effort with a friend or your partner to be there for them.

On August 11, Mars will also change signs as it leaves Gemini and moves into Cancer until September 27. Mars however doesn’t do that well in Cancer, and is known to bring up a lot of emotional frustration or just taking everything way too personally. On a more positive note, it could just be that you mainly want to engage in work or relationships that you feel more emotionally connected to, and it could feel harder to do something just for the sake of being productive or staying busy. Again, this theme of home and family may resurface, and you could be putting energy into making changes to your living space or connecting with family members. On August 16-17, Mars will square Neptune in Aries, which may feel similar to the Venus-Neptune opposition that came just a week prior. You may feel kind of low energy for a couple of days and not so motivated. This transit can sometimes bring up illness if you are pushing yourself too hard, so listen to what your is body telling you and maybe engage in gentle exercise or nurturing self care practices.

Meanwhile, Mercury moves into Leo on August 9 until August 25, again bringing up more creative brainstorming and inspiration. You may also feel more confident in speaking up and voicing your own personality and opinions.

Then on August 12, we will get a solar eclipse in Leo, occurring at 20 degrees of this sign. This will be the first of two eclipses in Leo, with the second one happening in August 2027. So it will be interesting to note how whatever new beginning or life direction begins to take hold in the wake of this Leo eclipse gets built upon further by the next one a year later. Solar eclipses set the stage for the next six months, but what they represent often isn’t visible quite yet. Looking at the Leo ruled house of your chart, you may sense that something new is unfolding there, but you may not see the full potential of what’s to come in that area for a couple of months still. Especially since this will be a South Node eclipse, it could be that endings come about or there’s something you’re leaving behind that has to do with the topics of that Leo ruled house of your chart in order to make way for what wants to come next.

Having the solar eclipse occur in the same sign that Jupiter and Mercury are both currently in speaks to how you may be more interested in educational, spiritual, or travel related pursuits, or you’re thinking more about what decisions you want to make in the Leo ruled house. This may be especially true in the lead up to August 15, when Mercury and Jupiter meet up in Leo to the exact degree, and the days surrounding this key date may be a time of thinking more optimistically, exploring different subjects, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone with what you’re learning, writing, and speaking about.

And that’s where we end this month! As Virgo season begins, we will be building up to another eclipse, this time a lunar eclipse in Pisces at the very end of August. So expect more change to come then!

I have never spoken about zodiacal releasing on here, because it’s not necessarily a go-to technique I use in my practice or in my readings. However, over the last few years of tracking my own zodiacal releasing, as well as observing it with celebrity charts and the charts of friends and family, I’ve noticed how accurate it can be when you’re wanting to zoom out and look at your life from a bird’s eye point of view. Zodiacal releasing is a Hellenistic timing technique that basically divides up your entire life into these decades long chapters, with some decades and also some specific years within those decades being more full of change and life transitions than others.

What I find to be especially interesting and what we’ll be getting into today is using zodiacal releasing when it comes to your career. Using this timing technique, you can see how your career and life purpose is mapped out in a very specific way over the course of your entire life, with career peaks and shifts coming up at certain ages. Rather than looking at just a 1-2 year period of the Nodes transiting through a career oriented part of your chart, you’re seeing how one career path occupies your attention for several decades, before you then decide to pivot and do something completely different for the next couple of decades. Zodiacal releasing also helps to put transits into context. Why do eclipses occurring in your 10th house one year result in a bit of career change but nothing too major, but then 9 years later when you again have eclipses in your 10th, you notice that much more significant activity is happening to boost your status at work? That can be explained with zodiacal releasing.

There is so much to explore with this technique, but I’m going to stick with the basics here and try my best to break it down in an easy way, only covering what it looks like when zodiacal releasing is applied to the realm of career and life calling, and how you can spot specific decades and also 1-2 year long periods within those decades for when you’ll see the most activity happen at work.

Now that Jupiter is in Leo, I’ve been getting quite a few questions about what people can expect with their Jupiter return. I guess I just naturally attract Jupiter in Leo people - both my husband and future daughter have this chart placement too! I have spoken a lot on here about solar returns, lunar returns, and Saturn returns. But I realized I’ve never gotten into what you can expect with all of these other planetary returns you experience from time to time. So in addition to getting into Jupiter returns, we’ll be looking at what typically comes up with Mars, Venus, and Mercury returns too.

A planetary return is when a transiting planet returns to the same sign in which you have that planet in your birth chart. For example, Mars is in Gemini right now. If you have Mars in Gemini in your birth chart, you are currently experiencing your Mars return over the next few weeks. Returns mark these key developmental phases throughout someone’s life. Something I’m excited to do once my baby is here is to track her first few months through her lunar returns, her first year at her solar return, her transition into toddlerhood at her first Mars return, and the start of adolescence at her first Jupiter return. Through these planetary returns, especially the longer ones, you can break down a person’s life chronology. For instance, you get a Saturn return every 29 years, so if you live to old age, you will get three Saturn returns. The time between each will mark these three very distinct phases of your life, where certain work, responsibilities, and ambitions were prominent for a few decades at a time. The same can be said of Jupiter, but looking at 12 year increments of your life through the lens of knowledge, beliefs, and travel instead.

What sets each return apart? Let’s go through the returns of Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury below, going over the steps for how you can interpret each of their returns to your chart.

Consider the themes of the planet involved in the return.

A Jupiter return occurs every 12 years. So you’ll get your first one at age 12, the second at 24, the third at 36, the fourth at 48, and so on. At these key ages, the themes associated with Jupiter will get brought up more strongly for about a year, and you could realize that a new direction is unfolding in one or more of these areas that will continue to grow over the next 12 years.

Jupiter represents:

• learning and higher education

• Spirituality and life beliefs

• Foreign travel and other cultures

• Writing and teaching

A Mars return occurs roughly every 2 years, and serves as an energy reset. You may find that at your Mars return, you are developing new goals or finding different interests that motivate you. The themes that Mars represents will become a bigger point of focus for about six weeks.

Mars represents:

• Your drive and ambition

• How you manage anger and frustration

• What you enjoy putting your energy towards and what motivates you

Solar returns occur once a year on your birthday. Mercury and Venus returns also have this once a year occurrence, although they don’t happen at the same time every year like a solar return does. A Mercury and Venus return both last for about a month, and at these times you will be putting careful thought into how you want to express the qualities of that planet.

Mercury represents:

• What you’re interested in learning and speaking about

• Brainstorming ideas for writing, teaching, or research

• How you communicate with people

Venus represents:

• Your approach to creativity and style

• How you navigate dating and relationships

• What you value spending money on, and how you approach your personal finances

You will want to note when these planets, especially Mercury, Venus, and Mars, have a retrograde occur in the same sign as your natal placement. This doesn’t happen often, and will mark an extended return period. The entire year surrounding that retrograde will likely be a significant period for you in regard to the topics of that planet. For example, I remember that when Mercury was retrograde in Aquarius several years ago, the sign I have my natal Mercury in, I got a lot of inspiration for the book I wrote.

For anyone who has Mercury and/or Venus in Scorpio in their birth chart, you will get longer returns for these planets later this year, as both will be retrograde in Scorpio throughout October and November. Over the last few months even, you may have already started thinking about how you want to spend more time writing, researching, or working on your speaking skills. Or it could be that you’re thinking more carefully about your aesthetic and branding, or how you can move past certain relationship patterns.

Note the sign and house in which the return is occurring.

The sign and house in which the return is happening will shed further insight into what that return will represent for you. The house that the planet is located in will indicate what activities and area of life are relevant to that return. For instance, if you’re having a Jupiter return in the 5th house, maybe you’re learning a lot more about pregnancy, children, or relationship dynamics, or you’re seeing a new direction take hold with your own creative practice.

Meanwhile, the sign in which the return is occurring will show you how you’re expressing the qualities of that planet. Having a Mercury return in Scorpio may have you wanting to do more in depth research on one specific niche topic, as well as areas that relate to mental health or psychology. On the other hand, a Mercury return in the sign of Gemini would be more about how you’re connecting socially with people, or you could be inspired by a lot of different topics at once, and you’re figuring out how to bring those interests into short form communication, like social media content, a newsletter, etc.

Check to see which other houses in your chart the planet rules.

You can not fully interpret any transit to a planet in your chart without checking to see what other signs and houses that planet rules.

Jupiter rules the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces. If you are having a Jupiter return in the sign of Aries for instance, yes the Aries ruled house of your chart would be relevant in terms of seeing growth and opportunities during that year long return, but you would also want to check the houses in your chart ruled by Sagittarius and Pisces to see how those themes are getting brought up in the return as well. In the diagram below, you can see someone experiencing a Jupiter return in Virgo, their 7th house. Jupiter also rules their Pisces 1st house and Sagittarius 10th house though, so in addition to seeing growth happen in relationships, they can also expect a shift in identity and personal goals as well as with their career.

At the time of a Mars return, you will want to check how the themes of the Aries and Scorpio ruled houses in your chart tie back in.

At the time of a Venus return, the houses ruled by Taurus and Libra will also be relevant.

And finally, with a Mercury return, the houses in your chart ruled by Gemini and Virgo will be called to your focus.

Bonus factors to consider

There are a few additional steps we could take to further interpret what a planet’s return will look like for you. These steps show how significant a specific planet’s return may feel compared to the return of another planet in your chart.

Is the planet involved in the return associated with your specific sect?

If you have a night chart, a Venus return may bring up more positive opportunities than a Jupiter return would, and a Mars return may not feel so irritable or bring up as much conflict. Meanwhile a day chart may reap greater rewards from a Jupiter return, and a Saturn return may end up feeling more productive and not as heavy.

Is the planet having the return your annual profection ruler for the year?

When a planet is your “lord” of the year, it automatically assumes greater power for a twelve month period. So if you’re in a Mercury ruled year, experiencing a Mercury return that year may feel a lot more significant in terms of developing Mercurial themes like writing, speaking, research, or communication.

Throughout my entire Saturn return, I was in back to back Saturn ruled profection years, so that Saturn return occurring in my 7th house was the single most important transit taking place during those two years. I experienced a lot of activity around 7th house themes, like meeting my now husband, entering into a couple of different business partnerships, and overall learning how to communicate and compromise better with people.

Does the planet involved in a return rule an important angle in your chart like your ascendant or Midheaven?

Because the ascendant and Midheaven are the most prominent points in a chart, when you experience the return of the planet that rules either of these, you could see a significant shift in what your overall life priorities are, what you want to be doing career wise, what personal goals you want to develop, and how you want to be seen by other people. An Aquarius rising would have major breakthroughs about who they are as a person at the time of their Saturn return, while someone with a Scorpio rising may see a major reset with what they want to be doing at the time of their Mars return.

There are two specific birth charts that have the ascendant and Midheaven ruled by the same planet. If you have a Virgo rising chart with a Gemini Midheaven, both of these angles are ruled by Mercury. So a Mercury return would be a bigger deal for you. And if you have a Pisces rising chart with a Sagittarius Midheaven, both of these angles are ruled by Jupiter, so your Jupiter return may open you up to more significant life changes or opportunities.

Last week, I hosted an in-person event in Brooklyn on “Building a Personal Brand with Astrology” with my good friend and brand designer Daniela Marti . I got a lot of feedback on how people wished they could have attended, but they don’t live in New York, so I decided to make the workshop portion of this event available for you to join this coming Sunday, June 28 at 2pm EST.

Happy Cancer season and summer solstice!

We’ve got a lot to discuss this month, as some major new transits begin (Jupiter in Leo) and ongoing outer transits start to get more activated (Mars meeting up with Uranus in Gemini). As always, we’ll first be going over all of the major astrological movements happening this Cancer season before paid subscribers can read on to find out what all of this means for their rising signs.

The main theme for Cancer season is of course that the Sun will be moving through this cardinal, water sign from June 21 - July 22. When I think of Cancer season, the first themes that come to mind are security, home and family life, and relationships that feel more nurturing. Rather than spreading yourself thin with social commitments and work, you may want to take a step back and focus on who and what brings greater meaning to your life. There may be more time you’re spending with family over the next month, or you could be making adjustments or improvements to your living space. In addition, you may feel more nostalgic and you could end up reflecting on the past more than usual, especially as Mercury retrograde also begins.

Within the Sun’s transit of Cancer and the Cancer ruled house of your chart, there will be a couple of dates that may feel more frustrating or confusing with these themes. On June 25, the Sun will square Neptune in Aries, so you could feel lower energy around that time or be doubting yourself or something you’re working on. It could also be that you’re simply more sensitive around that time. A little bit later on in the month, the Sun will square Saturn in Aries on July 6. Around that date, you could be overwhelmed with work, and you may feel the need to get clear on what is worth committing to. You could feel frustrated in a certain area, like things are taking too long to happen. Or again, this feeling of not having as much energy could come back up.

Most of the action this month is taking place in the first half of Cancer season. We will have a very busy end of June and start to July.

On June 28, Mars will move into Gemini until August 11. I’m not going to lie, Mars in Taurus for the last few weeks has felt relaxing, but also kind of lazy. As Mars enters the more fast paced, air sign of Gemini, you could start to get more excited about new ideas, plans, and opportunities. You could also want to invest more energy into writing, speaking work, or other communication related endeavors. There may be several different subjects you want to learn about or a variety of books you want to read at once. On July 3 and 4, Mars will come into a conjunction with Uranus in Gemini, triggering this longer transit through the Gemini ruled house of your chart. There may be unexpected changes you’re experiencing there or a desire to break free from a restricting situation. You might be making a quick decision about what you want next in that area of your life, and sudden developments may occur.

Then on June 29, Mercury retrograde begins in Cancer. Mercury retrograde will last for the rest of Cancer season, as it won’t end until July 23. This retrograde will start at 26 degrees of Cancer and backtrack to 16 degrees of Cancer, so anyone with cardinal sign (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) chart placements right within that degree range will feel the impacts of this retrograde the most. As I mentioned earlier, you may be thinking more about your childhood or the past in general for a few weeks. Work may feel slower, or you could be thinking about how to best approach certain family dynamics. There may be an important conversation you need to bring up with a family member, or you could be thinking more about your future living situation. In addition, you might be reflecting on how you can better nurture yourself.

On this same day, June 29, will be the full moon in Capricorn. This full moon will happen at 8 degrees of Capricorn, and the ruling planet is Saturn, which is currently in Aries. Therefore, you may see a flurry of activity building in the Capricorn ruled house of your chart right at the very end of June, but you could notice themes pertaining to the Aries ruled house surfacing as well. The topics of both houses may even be influencing one another. In general though, Capricorn is a sign associated with work and commitments, so you may be thinking more about what tasks and responsibilities deserve your time and energy. You could have more work on your plate that you’re working to finish around this time, or you’re considering what you want to take on next. The full moon will make loose squares to both Saturn and Neptune in Aries, so there may be an element of frustration that comes up. Try to remind yourself that you don’t need to have the next few months planned out entirely, and focus on what smaller steps you can take to be productive in this moment.

The following day, June 30, Jupiter will finally depart Cancer after spending over a year in this sign and move into Leo until July 26, 2027. Jupiter is the planet associated with education, spirituality, travel, teaching, and writing, so you may find over the course of the next few months that these themes are getting interwoven into a creative practice or how you express yourself. You may be letting go of a certain image you have of success as you allow yourself to simply experiment and have fun with what you’re learning or sharing about. In addition, you will see greater growth and opportunity come up in the Leo ruled house of your chart over the next year.

Then we skip forward a few days to July 9, when Venus moves into Virgo. If you’ve recently fallen off with an exercise routine or eating more healthy, you will be finding greater enjoyment into doing these types of wellness activities as we head into mid July. It could feel like you’re being more productive at work too if things felt slowed down there with Mercury retrograde starting. On July 14, Venus will square Uranus in Gemini, which could bring up slight changes in your relationships, Maybe you hear from a friend unexpectedly, or you need a bit of space from your partner to tend to your own hobbies. Sudden creative inspiration may strike around this time too.

On that same day of July 14, there will be a new moon in Cancer. This new moon will take place at 22 degrees of Cancer and will be in a close configuration with Mercury retrograde. In fact, the Sun-Mercury cazimi would have occurred just the day before on July 13, so this new moon time frame may actually offer you some much needed clarity on problems or thoughts that have been bothering you throughout the first half of the Mercury retrograde. In addition, you may see new opportunities and plans begin to take hold in the Cancer ruled house of your chart. Use this time during the very middle of July to reflect on what work, projects, or relationships feel the most nurturing and meaningful to you.

Right as Cancer season ends, Jupiter in Leo will oppose Pluto in Aquarius, trine Neptune in Aries, and sextile Uranus in Gemini on July 20. All of these aspects will be occurring at 4 degrees of these signs, which I went over more in depth in a newsletter from a few days ago. Identifying the houses ruled by those signs in your chart, you may notice that you’re experiencing a surge of growth or a desire to have more creativity and connection there. The topics of all of these houses will all be working together in a positive way. In addition, these transits may also have you realizing that you need to lean more into what you have to offer as an individual, without fearing what other people may think.

Let’s now get into what all of these transits mean for your specific rising sign…

I’ve been excited for a while about the astrological shifts happening this summer, and how the second half of the year will feel very different from the start of 2026. Within the span of just a few months, we will have gone from having the reflective, introverted, and routine oriented water and earth signs of Pisces, Cancer, and Taurus highlighted to suddenly having the more extroverted, adventurous, and playful fire and air signs of Gemini, Leo, and Aries amplified.

Right around the middle of July an interesting aspect configuration will form across the longer planetary transits of Jupiter in Leo, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius. All four of these planets will be at exactly four degrees of their respective signs, aspecting each other. Jupiter will sextile Uranus, which will sextile Neptune, which will sextile Pluto, which will round out the semi-circle as it opposes Jupiter.

Because these planets will all be in either fire or air signs, they will be working together harmoniously, inspiring one another. Over the course of the next few weeks, you may feel like you’re coming out of feeling tired, more in your emotions, or simply confused about what you need to be doing next in life as you start to enjoy experimenting, tapping into your creativity again, and finding ways to be more playful in your everyday life. Depending on what houses these planets are transiting for you will speak to where you’re putting these qualities into practice, which we’ll get into throughout the second half of this newsletter.

First, I want to dig deeper into the symbolism of how these planets are all aspecting one another right at four degrees, which falls in the first decan of each of these signs. For this, I turned to my favorite book on astrological decans, Temple of Stars by Martin Goldsmith. Let’s look at the meanings of each sign’s first decan before we get into how these planets are working together as they transit your own chart.

1st decan of Leo, where Jupiter will be:

• Prioritizes fun and entertainment

• Developing new outlets for self expression

• Wanting to bring creativity and a childlike approach to whatever you’re engaged in at this time

• Not afraid to take on a leadership role or be more direct about what you want, but because of this can also be pretty competitive

• Makes a strong statement, lives a more colorful life

• Having Jupiter here may have these above themes feeling larger than life for a couple of months, or you may want to find ways to get creative with travel, education, writing, teaching, or a spiritual practice

1st decan of Gemini, where Uranus will be:

• Favors quick communication and leaning into social interactions

• Has an ability to zero in on specific skills needed to develop a craft, artistic practice, or work

• Wanting to concentrate on one interest and learn the various facets of that topic

• Enjoys jumping between different subjects or skills at once, but may get distracted by how many different directions your thoughts end up going in

• With Uranus here, you may be taking a unique approach to how you communicate, write, or present what you know to people. You may also end up surprised with what you’re suddenly interested in learning about.

1st decan of Aries, where Neptune will be:

• The first decan of Aries is the very start of the zodiac, so it presents and beginning of something completely new

• There is a desire to act on impulse and what is coming to you in the moment, instead of bogging yourself down with detailed planning

• Is also more adventurous and willing to take risks

• Can easily simplify a plan of action and work quickly to develop something new

• This is yet another decan focused on personal creativity and playing around with who you are and how you want to express yourself

• With Neptune here, you may be allowing yourself to dream bigger with new ideas and plans that you want to pursue, or maybe you’re acting on developing your creative or spiritual interests

1st decan of Aquarius, where Pluto will be:

• Similar to the first decan of Aries, with this one too there’s a willingness to try out something completely new

• Likes to follow where inspiration leads, and acts on sudden whims and intuition, not so much logic or practical details

• Is aware that there’s so much we don’t know yet, so is willing to explore different possibilities that others haven’t conceived of yet.

• Doesn’t like to get stuck or tied down to one specific way of being and is very comfortable with change

• Again the theme of experimentation comes up here

• Having Pluto here shows that deep, internal transformation will come through embracing change and trusting your instincts more

You may have started to notice a common thread across all of these signs, which are these themes of creativity, leaning into experimentation, and beginning something new. Based on your birth chart configuration, let’s look at where you may be encountering these themes the most…

Fire sign risings (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and air sign risings (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

After a more work or mental health focused last couple of years, these bigger transits will be activating the houses of your chart that pertain to relationships, creativity, and self exploration. Over the coming months, notice how you may be more interested in developing a greater sense of community or how you could be open to dating or entering a major new chapter in a current relationship. You could simply feel closer to certain friendships, especially if your social life hasn’t been a major focus recently. Greater growth will be coming through partnerships of all types, whether that’s new business collaborations, inspiring friendships, or a romantic relationship.

In addition, there may be new subjects or techniques you want to learn about, and you could spend the next year or so deepening your knowledge on a specific skill or subject that will later help you advance in your career or another area of your life. Also, if you feel like you’ve been holding yourself back creatively, these next several months will ask you to care less about what other people think and put yourself out there in new ways. If you want to post more on social media, do it. Or if you want to inject more of your personal voice into your writing or a work project, there is a lot of supportive energy to do so. This is the time to lean into whatever is piquing your interest and explore it further, because you never know what that will initial interest will turn into at a later date.

Earth sign risings (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and water sign risings (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

After focusing on community, travel, and being more public about what you know over the last couple of years, your attention will begin to shift to how you can better nurture yourself and find deeper meaning in the work that you do. If you’re starting to feel burned out or like you need some type of reset, you may want to take time to be by yourself to tend to a solo hobby and rediscover what inspires you in the coming months.

In addition, you may want to bring those themes of deeper connection and creativity into your work. For instance, if you’re self employed, you may realize that churning out content isn’t doing it for you anymore, and you would rather prioritize work that speaks to you in a more meaningful way. Or maybe you’re looking to pivot in your career to enjoy more of what you do on a daily basis. You could also be moving past fears or mental blocks of not being good enough to express yourself creatively, especially through your work. Outside of your career, your health will start to be a bigger priority. You may be experimenting with new wellness practices, and by taking care of both your mind and body, you could feel reenergized. Finally, spirituality may be something that you’re turning to more over the next year or so, as you gain greater trust in your own intuition or a connection to something bigger than yourself.

Because Chiron is changing signs in two weeks from now, on June 19, I want to revisit this chart placement today by talking about its transit and the various phases of Chiron you will experience over time. For long time readers of this newsletter, you may remember that I put out a newsletter on Chiron and what it says about your healing journey back in 2023. That article breaks down Chiron in your natal chart by sign and house placement, so it could actually be helpful to reference that as we explore the various transits of Chiron below.

For some background information, Chiron is an asteroid, which is symbolized by the K shaped symbol in your birth chart. Based on where it falls in your chart signifies an area in which you may feel like you’re lacking, or this part of your life may be a source of emotional pain for you. Maybe you feel like you didn’t completely fit in in that area when you were younger, and you could still carry those insecurities with you today as an adult. Chiron signifies what you need to heal and learn how to open up about more. By not shying away from what this placement represents, you’re able to more deeply connect with people who may have gone through something similar.

As Chiron transits through your chart, making its way through the various signs and houses, it brings this energy of needing to heal and overcome certain fears to a specific area for several years at a time. Chiron has been transiting through Aries since 2018/2019, so you can identify that Aries ruled house in your chart and look at how you may have faced more difficult situations there over the last few years, but how ultimately you may have learned how to build greater confidence in the skills you bring to this part of your life. For instance, I have had Chiron transiting my Aries 9th house, and I’ve become more comfortable sharing through public speaking, writing, and teaching. Before this transit, public speaking and long form writing were areas that felt intimidating, but now eight years later, I’m fine with it.

Chiron is now shifting into Taurus and therefore the next house over in your chart from June 19 - September 17, 2026, and then again from April 14, 2027 until 2034. So over the next three months, you’ll start to see how a new 7- 8 year chapter of your life is being set up for you to heal any feelings of not being good enough and address specific fears you may have in the Taurus ruled house of your chart.

I’m collaborating with Daniela Marti, who is my long-time brand designer, and also works with clients to help them brand their businesses according to their birth charts. With Uranus now transiting my 11th house, I have been brainstorming ways I can collaborate with people and do more in person meet ups in order to create an astrology community. I am having a baby at the end of this summer, so I wanted to squeeze in an event before this happens, as I won’t be able to host another until 2027!

Daniela and I are joining forces to host an intimate, in-person workshop blending astrology and branding for a group of 20-25 guests. This will be a three hour experience designed to explore how your birth chart can inform your career path, creative direction, and personal brand, both strategically and intuitively. In the lead up to the South Node and Jupiter both entering Leo over the next few weeks, it’s the perfect time to play around creatively and get more inspired when it comes to your work.

The workshop will be divided into two parts, the first half being a teaching segment where we will cover:

• Identifying the parts of your birth chart that speak to your personal brand and aesthetic

• Different chart examples and how this plays out visually and in marketing

• Finding the transits for when you may want to change direction in your career, expand your own business, or do a total rebrand

• Opportunity to share your chart with everyone and get input from us

The teaching portion of this workshop will be followed by a Q&A and open conversation over drinks and treats where you will be able to connect 1:1 with Daniela and I, and other attendees.

As we’ve been over in the monthly forecasts recently, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto have all completely moved into new signs over the last year or so, so I want to go more in depth on what these longer, outer planet transits mean for you.

Specifically, we will be looking at what to expect when transit Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto make exact aspects to planets and angles in your birth chart, and how that may result in both bigger life changes and significant internal shifts happening for you. These are the transits that bring about these once in a lifetime transformations, so they’re a huge deal to note.

Throughout this workshop, we will be reviewing what Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto represent, tracking timelines of when they make exact aspects to natal planets and angles, pinpointing when you may feel these transits a bit more intensely, and looking at chart examples that illustrate the effects of these transits. If you have already experienced some of these outer planet transits, during the second part of the workshop you will have the opportunity to share your chart and what you experienced during that time period.

Ahead of the workshop, you may want to have a transit chart already pulled up, although I will spend a couple of minutes making sure everyone knows how to do so.

Happy Gemini season!

Out of all the tricky transits we’ve encountered so far in 2026, I actually really like the astrology for the next month. It offers a pause from encountering so many tough transitions thus far in 2026, and it’s a nice send off to Jupiter, which is preparing to leave Cancer at the very end of June. Like always, I will first be going over all of the major transits happening this month, before paid subscribers can read on to find out what everything means for their rising sign. If you want to listen to the overview of the transits for the next month, that episode will be out tomorrow on my podcast, Astrology with Alice.

The main underlying theme for the month ahead is that the Sun is moving through Gemini from May 20 - June 21. Gemini season is a time for greater connection. It’s more geared towards social activities, learning, and travel. Therefore, you could have a desire to pick up new skills or explore different subjects, or you may be coming into contact with a lot of new people and expanding your network. I do find that by the end of Gemini season I’m often exhausted by how many directions I’ve just been pulled in. So the main downside is that Gemini season can feel scattered in that way. But overall, I view this as a pleasant, fun time of year, where you’re being encouraged to follow your curiosity.

The Sun will be joining Mercury, which is already in Gemini, so the first ten days or so of Gemini season will have more emphasis on wanting to be more involved with people or having a desire to learn, read, and write, or it may simply be easier to come up with new ideas. In addition, the Sun will be meeting up with Uranus in Gemini from May 20 - 22, so you could see some initial changes going on in the Gemini ruled house of your chart, since the longer transit of Uranus is getting more activated at this time. Maybe there’s a desire to switch up your approach to this area of your life, or you’re being met with sudden insight or new opportunities related to the Gemini house of your chart.

The last several days of May look a little tricky, and I would say that this may be the time period that brings up the most annoyances or setbacks out of the entire month. First, Mars is in Taurus for the entirety of Gemini season, not leaving this sign until the very end of June. And on May 25 and 26, Mars will exactly square Pluto in Aquarius. There may be tension or frustration you encounter for a couple days period, or maybe you’re trying to control a situation a little too much. You may also have a really strong reaction to something, like more intense anger than usual, or maybe you’re the recipient of someone else acting this way to you. Try not to take any outbursts super personally, and I would probably try to avoid confronting anyone around this time. Also, you may want to consider where you’re being overly stubborn in certain areas of your life, and how you might be open to letting your guard down or being a bit more flexible.

A few days later, Venus in Cancer will square Saturn in Aries on May 28. This is another aspect that may bring up some frustration in your relationships right at the end of May. You may feel annoyed with a friend, or maybe a partnership is requiring you to put in more effort. As a result, you may be reflecting on who is worth your time and energy, as well as who you want to commit to in the long term. Outside of relationships, you may be more aware of your spending habits at this time, and you could feel encouraged to start saving or just be more practical about your purchases.

The first lunation of the month will be the full moon in Sagittarius on May 31. This full moon will take place at 9 degrees of Sagittarius, so anyone with Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, or Virgo chart placements right around that degree marker will likely feel the effects of the full moon more intensely. This full moon looks pretty pleasant though, and you could be interested in learning about a different culture, spiritual practice, or foreign country. You may also be realizing how you want to share your knowledge, through writing, teaching, or another medium, or there may be a specific subject you want to learn about in depth.

The full moon will be ruled by Jupiter, which is still in Cancer, the sign of its exaltation, for a few more weeks. So in addition to bringing up realizations or change in the Sagittarius ruled house of your chart, you may see greater activity occurring in the Cancer ruled house too. There may even be a positive link between these two houses, where the topics of one house are influencing situations happening in the other. Also, the full moon will trine Saturn in Aries, lending an air of stability or longevity to whatever you may be working on at this time. It could feel easier to commit to something, or hard work you’re engaging in may feel more worth it.

On June 1, Mercury moves into Cancer, the sign in which it will later station retrograde on June 29. Because of this retrograde, Mercury will be in Cancer for a while - until August 9. With over two months of Mercury in this sign and the Cancer ruled house of your chart, a lot of your thoughts and attention will be focused on that one specific area for a while. With the retrograde on the horizon, you may be reflecting more on your home and family life, like what you want to change within your family dynamics or how you can make your home feel more like your own. You could also start to think more about your personal past and end up feeling a bit nostalgic.

June 9 brings the most positive aspect of this month, as Venus and Jupiter, the two benefics, meet up in Cancer. Whereas relationships may have felt a bit tense with the Venus-Saturn square on May 28, it will be a different story by June 9, and you may feel much more uplifted in your friendships, work partnerships, or romantic relationships. Creative inspiration may come to you easily at this time too, or you could feel more generous and optimistic. You can also think of this conjunction as a positive wrap up to Jupiter’s year long transit through Cancer. You may want to reflect back on how much growth has gone on in this Cancer ruled house of your chart over the last twelve months.

We shift out of the sentimental Cancerian energy a bit on June 13, when Venus moves into Leo. Venus will be in Leo until July 9, which will have you leaning into personal self expression. There may be a hobby you want to try out, or you could be experimenting with your style in new ways. This would also just be a great time to relax, and find activities you enjoy doing for leisure, that aren’t linked to productivity or success in any way. However, Venus will oppose Pluto on June 17, so for a couple of days surrounding this date, again this theme of control within relationships may pop up, similar to what we went over with Mars squaring Pluto at the end of May. Try to step back and assess what is worth obsessing over, versus what is simply out of your control. And keep in mind that usually the bigger plan the universe has in store for you is better than what you’re trying to force yourself.

The new moon in Gemini will occur on June 14 (June 15 for time zones ahead of the U.S.). This new moon will be at 24 degrees of Gemini, so anyone who has Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Pisces planets or angles right around 24 degrees will feel the effects of this new moon in a bigger way. All of the themes associated with Gemini, like learning, social activity, and developing communication based projects will get a boost at the time of this new moon and in the days that immediately follow. You may also be ending a situation in your life that isn’t meant to make it to that next new chapter, or you could need some time to reflect on what you want to pursue next. In addition, new opportunities, partnerships, or mindsets may begin to take hold right after June 14.

The ruling planet of the new moon in Gemini is Mercury, which will be in Cancer at this time. Both the new moon and full moon this month will have this tie in with the Cancer ruled house of your chart, making the themes of that house extra relevant for you this month. And again, you may notice a link between the Cancer ruled house and the Gemini ruled house of your chart, with the topics of each influencing each other. Also, it could be that this theme of home and family gets brought back up again at the new moon, and you may be thinking more about how to prioritize or make adjustments to this part of your life.

And finally, the last major event of the month will be Chiron shifting into Taurus on June 19. Chiron hasn’t changed signs since 2019, when it moved into Aries, so this is a longer transit that is a bigger deal to note. Though Chiron will return to Aries for a final wrap up from September 17, 2026- April 14, 2027, this is the start of it being in Taurus until 2033. Over the next few months, you may notice how Chiron’s influence of needing to do deeper healing work, facing insecurities, or practicing greater vulnerability may already be manifesting in the Taurus ruled house of your chart. With Chiron, the more open you are about what’s bothering you, the more able you are to connect with people going through something similar and grow in a specific area of your life.

The Moon

Let’s first turn to your birth chart to understand what type of activities you like to engage in that help you feel more grounded, calm, and in touch with yourself.

The moon sign is the most important when understanding environments you seek out to feel safe and comfortable. The moon also describes your home environment, early childhood, and how you process your emotions, so depending on what sign and house your moon falls in will indicate how you go about expressing your feelings, as well as the little self care practices you may engage in out of habit. Below, I’ve grouped the moon signs by element, as they share similar qualities.

Moon in fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) - you may find a lot of comfort in having new experiences, learning, traveling to new cities or countries, or engaging in a creative practice, it’s also important that you find different outlets for self expression, like trying out a new hobby or personal style, there’s a need to not lose sight of the playfulness of your inner child. Moon in earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) - you probably like the stability of an everyday routine, you may feel your best when you’re making an effort to workout regularly, eat nutritious foods, and engage in activities that are more hands on and bring you back to your physical body; trying out new wellness activities, like a spa day or a nature walk may be what you turn to to feel more grounded. Moon in air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) - you likely crave stimulating conversations and connection with people, you may find a lot of peace in reading books, listening to podcasts, and teaching yourself new information; finding an outlet for your overthinking, like reading or journaling, may be especially helpful, it’s also key that you find little ways to have more variety in your everyday life, so things don’t feel so routine and boring. Moon in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) - establishing deeper emotional connections with people is important to you, you may find more inner peace when you’re engaging in a spiritual practice and getting in touch with your own intuition and higher self, you’re also learning how to lean into your sensitivity rather than avoiding your feelings, being around water or connecting with animals may make you feel more calm too. With the moon, it can be interesting to reflect back to the age of 27 (or look ahead to that age if you haven’t gotten there yet). This is when you get your first progressed lunar return, and all of the traits associated with your moon placement become a lot more important to you. If you are someone who earlier on in life didn’t really prioritize self care or slowing down to nurture yourself, then at this age you may have an awakening where you suddenly do want to tap into the traits of your moon sign in a bigger way.

The 6th and 12th Houses

In addition to the moon, you will want to note the 6th and 12th houses in your chart. The 6th house speaks to your physical body and daily routines, while the 12th is more about your mental health and spiritual practices. What planets, if any, are placed there? How do the qualities of that planet show up in the physical or mental health activities you engage in?

For instance, if you have Venus in your 12th, then you may find a lot of peace through tending to solo creative projects or a spiritual practice. These may be activities you would prefer to do alone, and which you’re more private about. Or if you have Saturn in your 6th house, you may thrive when you are following a structured everyday routine, where you’re focused on eating well, getting exercise in, and taking care of your body. However, because Saturn placements tend to get easier as you get older, it may take you some time to realize that you need to prioritize wellness in this way.

Even if you don’t have planets in these houses, you will still want to note what signs rule your 6th and 12th. The qualities of that sign will inform how you approach these areas of your life that have to do with your mental and physical health. If you have Taurus ruling your 6th house, then maybe there’s a more tangible aspect to your self care rituals, and you could like to splurge on fancier skincare products or Taurus like traits of getting in touch with nature, cooking, or experimenting with fashion and your aesthetic may be different ways in which you calm down and get more in touch with yourself. To contrast, let’s say you have a more energetic sign like Sagittarius ruling your 6th house. It could be that through learning, engaging in a writing practice, or treating yourself to occasional travel is how you nurture yourself. You may also crave freedom and flexibility to do your own thing, rather than following such a strict, everyday routine.

Tips for scheduling self care activities

Now let’s get into some tips for when self care may be more emphasized for a period of time. There might be a year-long period when you’re super into working out regularly, or there could be a specific month or week where you feel called to get a haircut, schedule a facial, or change up your nighttime routine.

Venus

I find Venus to be very important with aesthetic related activities specifically. So if you’re wanting to do something that is more focused on your appearance, you will want to check where Venus is transiting in your chart. When you get a Venus transit happen to the below parts of the chart we’re about to go over, these will naturally be times when you’re reflecting more on how you dress, present yourself, and are perceived by the world.

Having Venus transit one of the signs it rules or is exalted in (Libra, Taurus, or Pisces) is a great time to lean into activities like upgrading your wardrobe, changing up your style or hair, or making other significant beauty appointments. Still, no matter what sign Venus is transiting though, you will also want to check when it’s hitting upon important natal placements in your chart, especially ones that have to do with your public image or aesthetic. Here are a few of those I would note:

• Venus transiting your 1st house (your rising sign)

• Venus moving over your Midheaven (see diagram below)

• Venus transiting your Sun sign

• Venus transiting the sign of your chart ruler (the planet that rules your rising sign)

• Having Venus return to the sign in which you have Venus placed in your birth chart, also known as your “Venus return”

With Venus, I would try to avoid making any drastic changes to your appearance during Venus retrograde periods. For reference, the next Venus retrograde is coming up from October 3 - November 14, 2026. What you want to have done under a Venus retrograde often isn’t what you end up liking once the retrograde is over.

The Moon

Returning to the moon again, I also find the sign in which the moon is transiting and the aspects the moon is making with other planets to be relevant. The moon rules the sign of Cancer and is exalted in Taurus, so those are always better signs for the moon to be in when it comes to slowing down and engaging in self care. But you could apply the same exercise we just did with Venus to the moon too, by running down that list and noting when the moon is in the sign of your rising, your sun, your Venus, etc.

I would try to avoid scheduling important beauty appointments when the moon is making these aspects:

• Conjunctions, squares or an opposition with either your natal Saturn or transit Saturn

• The several hours period when the moon is void of course every couple of days. The void of course moon is when the moon is at the end of a sign, and isn’t making aspects to any other traditional planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto don’t count)

Is the moon phase relevant?

I don’t obsess over the moon phase as much, so I wouldn’t avoid scheduling a haircut or other appointment because of a full moon for instance. However, if I’m wanting to refresh something about myself, typically the best time to do that would be at a new moon or in the two weeks after the new moon, building up to a full moon. The new moon and the days that immediately follow it are symbolic of a new chapter unfolding, and often there is a desire to change up something in your life. For instance, the upcoming new moon in Taurus on May 16 leading up to the full moon in Sagittarius on May 31 would be a great period for doing some type of refresh. See the diagram below for a visual of a new moon happening in someone’s 1st house - often a more significant transit for changing up your appearance or beauty routine.

Making bigger changes to your health or appearance

The above timing we just went over is for more day to day appointments with self care, but I also wanted to briefly touch upon when you encounter bigger, year long or more transits for taking care of yourself, cutting back on negative habits, and better nurturing both your mind and body.

When you have a longer transit like Saturn, Jupiter, or the North and South Nodes transit your ascendant or Midheaven, you could want to change up your appearance in a bigger way. It could feel like you’ve outgrown a certain way of dressing for instance, and you’re wanting clothing that reflects a new lifestyle. The ascendant specifically has to do with your physical body, so when you have a planet like Saturn move over your ascendant, you might be more aware of how your body is aging and how you might make healthier choices in your everyday life to feel your best. You could literally be forced to slow down during this time, or there could be health concerns you need to address. New health habits you implement under these longer transits will often stick with you for the years to come. You could also check when a transit like the nodes or Saturn aspects your ascendant or Midheaven ruling planet.

Meanwhile, tracking transits to your 6th and 12th transits is less about aesthetics, and more about taking the time to understand how your mind, body, and spirit are all interconnected. Again, when you have a longer transit like the North and South Nodes, Jupiter, or Saturn move through your 6th or 12th house, you may have the desire to take stock of your everyday routine, and cut back on activities that are putting too much stress on your plate or eliminate habits that aren’t working for you anymore. Oftentimes, people will stop drinking under a major 6th or 12th house transit, or they may search for a better work-life balance, because they’re more aware of how overworking themselves is affecting their mental health.

During these periods, you may naturally be spending more time alone, so there’s an opportunity to reflect on what’s going on internally with you. You may come to find that by prioritizing caring for your physical body through exercise or healthy eating has a positive effect on your emotional state, and vice versa - by slowing down and resting you also have extra energy to show up and be more productive.

In my readings, the two areas of life I get asked about the most are relationships and career. Second to those is moving, as well as other home or family related changes. I recently realized I hadn’t spoken that much about the astrology of home and family on this Substack, but with Jupiter still in Cancer for the next two months, now seemed like the right time. So today’s newsletter is dedicated to how you can track when you may undergo a move or spot when significant changes may happen to your home or family relationships.

Before we get into it, I had my friend and fellow astrologer on the podcast this week, Michelle Grodnick. We talk about her specific interest in family and ancestry astrology, as well as the astrology of bigger life pivots in general. First, let’s go over the key parts of the chart that correlate with your home life and family situation. Then we’ll get into different transits that can occur to these chart placements, and how these transits may result in various situations playing out in your home and family life.

Birth chart placements that correlate with home and family

One or more of these parts of the chart will be activated when someone is moving or dealing with significant changes happening to their home and family life. When these chart placements are aspected by current transits, in some instances it may result in moving homes or renovating your current space, while in others, it could be that the dynamics within your family relationships are shifting or parents and siblings are undergoing bigger changes themselves. It could even be that you experience several of these themes at once under a transit.

Uranus just changed signs yesterday, which is a major deal because it kicks off a brand new 7-8 year cycle that will carry us until 2033! Uranus is a planet that brings about more significant change in our lives, so now that it has fully moved into Gemini, you can expect to see bigger shifts happen in the Gemini ruled house of your chart. Below, I’ve put together a little guide on everything you need to know about Uranus and the time frames in which you can expect greater change to happen.

For more information on this transit and what it means for you, you can always revisit your yearly horoscopes, where I zoomed in on key dates throughout 2026 for when you’ll feel this transit a bit more intensely. Listeners have written in about what they’ve personally experienced having Uranus transit through the Taurus ruled house of their chart over the past 7-8 years, so you can get a better idea of what to expect if you’re the next rising sign over.

First, let’s review the qualities Uranus has as a planet:

• Represents change, which can come about very unexpectedly and quickly

• Craves freedom and wants to break free from anything that feels restricting

• Willing to experiment and challenge the status quo

• Innovative and takes risks

• May feel shaky, like it’s hard to get an exact structure or firm commitment, or there could be a lot of ups and downs

What happens when Uranus enters a new sign and house of your chart?

Uranus takes about 84 years to make its way through all 12 signs and all 12 houses of your chart. It spends 7-8 years in one sign and therefore one house (I use whole sign houses to track transits). During that several years window it spends in one house, you will see the qualities we went over with Uranus take hold in that specific area of your life. You can expect those house topics to go through a series of changes over almost a decade, and what you plan to have happen there now likely won’t be what you’re doing seven years later.

In the months leading up to Uranus moving into a new sign and house, usually you already feel a desire to experience change there. Maybe you feel like you’ve outgrown certain elements of this part of your life and you’re ready for something new. For example, if you’re a Virgo rising and Gemini is your 10th house, over the last year, you may have started to feel like you want to do something different in your career. New interests may have come to you recently that could later inform a bigger change at work over the next several years. Or if you’re an Aquarius rising, maybe you’ve had more of a desire to express yourself creatively, or you could feel like putting yourself out there with dating. It can be interesting to pay attention to the first few months of Uranus being in this new sign and house, as initial changes that occur now will often inform how you end up approaching this area differently in the years to follow.

Themes of Uranus in Gemini

Gemini is the sign associated with everyday communication, whether that’s sharing ideas through writing, speaking, online content, or within your relationships. As Uranus enters this sign, the way you learn, communicate, and share knowledge may be going through noticeable shifts. Combining these themes with the house Gemini rules in your chart, you may be picking up new information quickly having to do with that house’s topics, or through learning more about this area of your life, maybe you feel more comfortable speaking or writing about those themes. In addition, you may be seeking greater connection with people through engaging in activities associated with the Gemini ruled house in your chart. For instance, if Gemini rules your 12th house, maybe you get way more interested in researching mental health or spirituality, or you could want to form a community around these topics. Or if Gemini rules your 4th house, you may want to look more into your family’s ancestry, or you could be learning practical skills that help you decorate or make repairs around your home.

Key dates for Uranus over the next 7 years

When I recorded the Uranus transit stories podcast, I called out that 2022 was a key time frame for the Uranus in Taurus transit. We were in the thick of the Taurus/Scorpio eclipses at that point, and in July/August 2022 specifically, the North Node and Mars met up with Uranus in Taurus, amplifying that Uranus transit a lot more. Throughout a lot of the stories I read, this critical point in 2022 was when people noticed bigger shifts happening in the Taurus ruled house of their chart, which didn’t occur until 3-4 years into the Uranus in Taurus transit.

Noting when Uranus gets triggered by shorter transits like this will be key to watch as Uranus makes its way through Gemini now. I would say peak intensity for this Uranus in Gemini transit will be felt throughout the early 2030s, as Uranus is aspected by the South Node, Jupiter and Saturn all around a similar time frame. Here are a few dates over the next few years that grabbed my attention.

2026: end of April - August specifically, as all of the inner planets move through Gemini and conjoin Uranus one after the other. First Venus, then Mercury and the Sun, then Mars. These inner planet conjunctions with Uranus will serve to kick off initial changes you will feel with this transit.

2028: May and June specifically, when Mercury and Venus retrogrades happen simultaneously in the sign of Gemini, prompting greater reflection and maybe a revisiting of topics having to do with Gemini ruled house topics.

2029: Eclipses start happening in Gemini, aspecting Uranus there, which may prompt more obvious changes to occur in that house for you. These eclipses pick up momentum in the second half of 2029.

2030: The South Node meets up with Uranus in Gemini, and Saturn also enters Gemini. Felt very intensely specifically in June 2030 when the Sun, Mars, Uranus, the South Node, and Saturn all cluster in Gemini at once.

2031: Saturn moves closer to Uranus in Gemini, while both planets are opposed by Jupiter in Sagittarius. Felt throughout the year, but may reach a peak around October-November 2031. You may have a desire to restructure or grow a lot more in the Gemini ruled house of your chart around this time, or the topics of the Sagittarius house opposite may influence how you’re approaching the topics of the Gemini house.

2032: Saturn reaches an exact conjunction with Uranus before both planets enter Cancer. Though Uranus will return to Gemini several months later and finally leave Gemini in 2033, June 2032 will be key to watch, as the Sun, Venus, Mars and Mercury all meet up with Saturn and Uranus in Gemini at once. You could notice a wrapping up of major themes or a final push to do something different in this area of your life represented by the Gemini house in your chart.

What if you have planets or angles in Gemini?

If you have chart placements in Gemini, or other mutable signs like Virgo, Pisces, or Sagittarius, you will want to note when transit Uranus in Gemini reaches the exact degree of those planets. Uranus will spend about a 1-2 year period moving back and forth across a planet or angle in your chart as it stations retrograde, then direct, then retrograde again, and so on. When a planet or angle in your chart is affected by Uranus, you can expect to see greater change brought to the topics of what that planet or angle represents.

For instance, out of the entire time Uranus spends in your 1st or 7th house, you will likely feel the biggest effects of change happening with either your sense of identity (1st house) or relationships (7th house) when Uranus reaches the exact degree of your ascendant or descendant. Because those angles fall opposite to one another, you may experience changes happening in both of these areas simultaneously. The same could be said of when Uranus reaches your Midheaven or IC. That would be a peak time period of seeing change happen both in your career and at home and with family. If your Midheaven falls in the 9th or 11th house, notice how career changes feel more significant when Uranus reaches the degree of your Midheaven angle, rather than when it goes through your 10th.

If you have a planet in a mutable sign, notice how the house topics of where that planet is placed become more noticeable when Uranus exactly aspects that planet. You can also check what other houses in your chart that planet rules, as those house topics may also go through significant change for that exact 1-2 year period. In the diagram below, you can see Uranus crossing over someone’s Gemini Venus in the 7th house. In addition to bringing up changes associated with the 7th house and Venus like relationships or work partnerships, you will want to note what other houses Venus rules, because change will occur there too while Uranus is exactly aspecting this person’s natal Venus. Venus rules the signs of Taurus and Libra, which are associated with this person’s 6th and 11th houses respectively. So those house themes will be super relevant when it comes to understanding what areas will go through changes at this time. So while yes, they may experience relationship changes (Venus and 7th house), they will also want to note how shifts are occurring with their work, health, and routine (Taurus ruled 6th house) as well as with their friendships and bigger community (Libra ruled 11th house).
