Nel 2008, prima del crollo dell’intero sistema bancario, lavoravo ancora per una banca in Italia. Mi sono dimesso nel 2021.

In quegli anni la mia banca era in fase di espansione, acquisendo filiali in tutta Italia, e io viaggiavo molto per il Paese per seguire questo processo.

Leggevo religiosamente *Zero Hedge* ogni giorno, compresi i commenti, che spesso sono migliori degli articoli stessi. La Bear Stearns era già fallita e tutti gli occhi erano puntati sulla Lehman Brothers. Su *Zero Hedge* si sapeva già che mancavano pochi giorni all’accadere dell’impensabile!

Così, in tutta sincerità e con buone intenzioni, cercavo di mettere in guardia chiunque incontrassi in banca riguardo all’imminente crollo che stava per verificarsi – una situazione di cui nessuno dei miei ex colleghi aveva la minima idea, a causa della loro negligenza e della loro totale ignoranza. Il fatto è che, se non si capisce l’inglese, come si può seguire direttamente le notizie provenienti da Wall Street? E poi, cosa te ne frega se alla fine sono i solo clienti a perdere soldi?

Ricordo un giorno, nell’estate del 2008, in cui chiesi a un direttore di filiale se si sentisse tranquillo ad avere i propri risparmi investiti in borsa, visto l’imminente pericolo.

Era un viscido individuo di basso profilo, un divorziato – mollato perché beccato a tradire – e una vera canaglia, chiaramente affetto da sindrome metabolica a causa di abitudini alimentari orribili. Entrare nel suo ufficio era pericoloso a causa delle scoregge. Mi ascoltava con aria di sufficienza, sostenendo di non vedere alcun motivo per disinvestire, dato che le sue azioni erano in guadagno. Più tardi, quello stesso direttore fu declassato e trasferito alle risorse umane. Nella filiale che gestiva, un piccolo “Madoff” locale aveva accumulato perdite per circa 20 milioni di euro sfruttando la fiducia di clienti ingenui, proprio sotto il naso di quel direttore che avrebbe dovuto supervisionare la filiale stessa.

La Lehman Brothers crollò il 15 settembre 2008. Io c’ero. Quei pochissimi che mi avevano dato retta mi ringraziano ancora oggi. Gli altri, probabilmente, non hanno ancora capito nulla. Ma quel viscido bastardo delle risorse umane scatenò una battaglia personale contro di me. L’invidia è un sentimento meschino e, nel mondo bancario, è una forza motrice!

Incapace di comprendere il male, mi sorprendo quando lo vedo e ne soffro quando lo subisco; tuttavia, è una lezione che ho imparato a mie spese e un motivo in più per sentirmi soddisfatto della decisione di abbandonare la carriera bancaria.

Dunque, cosa impariamo dal crollo del 2008 e da tutti quelli che lo hanno preceduto? Si ripete sempre lo stesso schema, perché l’avidità è più forte della saggezza e perché la gente dimentica. Questa volta, però, non dimentichiamo. Ecco lo schema che si ripropone continuamente:

1. EUFORIA

2. ISTERIA

3. DISPERAZIONE

Stiamo entrando nella fase di isteria. La fase tecnicamente nota come *blow-off top*: il momento di massimo splendore dell’ultimo fuoco d’artificio, un istante prima che calino il silenzio e l’oscurità.

Ancora oggi, non abbiamo toccato il fondo del collasso monetario che avrebbe dovuto verificarsi nel 2008, poiché il disastro è stato mascherato immettendo nel sistema trilioni di nuova valuta. Quanti trilioni? Nessuno lo sa con certezza. Potrebbe trattarsi di trilioni, quadrilioni o persino quintilioni, dato che la finanza tossica e i derivati ​​OTC possono essere – e di fatto sono – occultati nelle pieghe del sistema bancario ombra.

Lo studio della storia dei cicli monetari ci insegna una lezione molto semplice:

AL TERMINE DI OGNI EUFORIA LEGATA ALLA MONETA CARTACEA, COLORO CHE SONO USCITI DAL MERCATO IN TEMPO, CONVERTENDO I PROPRI ASSET IN ORO, SE LA SONO CAVATA DECISAMENTE MEGLIO DI CHI HA RIPOSTO PIENA FIDUCIA NELLA VALUTA FINO AL DISASTRO FINALE.

Ripercorriamo alcuni dei disastri più celebri della storia monetaria per evitare di ripetere lo stesso errore!

Gli ingredienti sono sempre gli stessi.

La storia economica presenta sempre un tema ricorrente: le guerre. Tutte le guerre richiedono ingenti quantità di denaro. Ogni guerra e ogni rivoluzione sono sempre state finanziate attraverso la svalutazione della moneta e un’enorme massa di cartamoneta.

È esattamente ciò che sta accadendo di nuovo.

Dunque, cosa impariamo dagli eventi passati?

Che, quando si concretizza un disastro monetario causato da un’eccessiva stampa di moneta e dall’accumulo di debito cartaceo, emergono sempre due categorie di persone:

1) Coloro che rimangono con la carta moneta in mano

2) Coloro che trasformano quella carta moneta in oro in tempo, finché è ancora possibile.

Lezione numero 1: Firenze, Italia, 1348.

Era un periodo di grave crisi economica, successivo al crollo delle case bancarie fiorentine dei Bardi e dei Peruzzi.

A Firenze circolava una valuta molto forte, rispettata in tutta Europa: il fiorino d’oro. Trasportare sacchi d’oro lungo le strade europee era un’impresa pericolosa e difficile; per questo motivo, i banchieri iniziarono a emettere ordini di pagamento e lettere di credito. Come funzionava il sistema? Invece di contare fisicamente i fiorini d’oro allo sportello, i banchieri registravano i trasferimenti di denaro tra i clienti tramite documenti. La solidità di questo sistema di pagamento “cartaceo” si fondava interamente sulla fiducia e sulla robustezza della rete di filiali che i banchieri fiorentini gestivano in tutta Europa. Tuttavia, come sempre accade, le promesse cartacee finirono per superare di gran lunga la quantità di oro effettivamente disponibile.

Cause principali del disastro: il debito inglese! Edoardo III d’Inghilterra non restituì gli ingenti prestiti ottenuti per finanziare le campagne militari (sono sempre le guerre!) durante la Guerra dei Cent’anni contro la Francia (circa 900.000 fiorini d’oro persi dai Bardi e 600.000 dai Peruzzi). Cause principali – Il debito inglese: (è sempre il debito) Edoardo III d’Inghilterra non restituì gli ingenti prestiti. Il crollo delle due “super-compagnie” – che all’epoca rappresentavano le più grandi istituzioni finanziarie d’Europa – trascinò con sé decine di banche minori (come gli Acciaiuoli e gli Antellesi).

La carta era ovunque. Solo l’oro sparì! E la carta perse ogni valore!

Oltre 350 famiglie e imprenditori fiorentini dichiararono bancarotta, provocando un drastico crollo del mercato immobiliare e della stabilità politica cittadina (situazione che genera sempre disordini sociali). Il Tumulto dei Ciompi fu una celebre rivolta popolare scoppiata a Firenze tra il luglio e l’agosto del 1378. I protagonisti furono i “Ciompi”, ovvero gli umili salariati dell’Arte della Lana; sfruttati, privi di diritti politici e senza rappresentanza all’interno delle corporazioni, essi insorsero per rivendicare salari migliori, giustizia fiscale e il diritto di costituire proprie corporazioni. Per un breve periodo, riuscirono a fondare nuove corporazioni per i lavoratori più poveri e a portare al potere il loro leader, Michele di Lando, come Gonfaloniere di Giustizia. Quasi immediatamente dopo l’insediamento, tuttavia, Michele di Lando si alleò con le potenti famiglie fiorentine contro i poveri che avevano riposto in lui le loro speranze. Nel giro di poche settimane, il malcontento nei confronti della sua leadership crebbe, soprattutto quando venne respinta una richiesta di cancellazione dei debiti dovuti ai datori di lavoro.

Filippo Villani offre una vivida descrizione del crollo della rivolta:

«I Ciompi se ne andarono come un popolo distrutto, senza guida e disorientati, perché avevano confidato in se stessi e da se stessi erano stati traditi». (I leader politici mentono sempre e si alleano con i poteri costituiti!).

Lezione numero 2:

Francia, 1720

L’Europa si stava riprendendo dalla Guerra di successione spagnola, conclusasi con la Pace di Utrecht nel 1713-1714. L’alleanza anglo-francese: siglata nel 1716, vide Gran Bretagna e Francia unire le forze per tutelare le clausole del trattato e arginare l’espansionismo spagnolo o russo. Tale collaborazione portò direttamente alla Guerra della Quadruplice Alleanza (1718-1720), conflitto in cui la Francia combatté al fianco della Gran Bretagna e dell'Austria per contrastare i tentativi della Spagna di riconquistare i territori italiani. Ancora una volta, le guerre richiedevano finanziamenti e la carta rappresentava lo strumento d’elezione.

Ecco un brano del professor Galbraith: «Nel corso dei secoli, gli uomini hanno creduto di aver scoperto il segreto della sua moltiplicazione infinita. E con la stessa sicurezza con cui se ne sono convinti, sono riusciti a convincere anche gli altri. Invariabilmente, ciò comporta la riscoperta – magari sotto una veste leggermente nuova – di qualche vecchia truffa. L’intervallo tra le vette vertiginose del genio finanziario e il nadir del successivo crollo... Da John Law, salvatore della Reggenza francese, al John Law penitente a Venezia; da Nicholas Biddle – il primo re della finanza americana, figura capace di incutere timore persino ai presidenti – a Nicholas Biddle, divenuto il più celebre fallito di Philadelphia; dal Bernard Cornfeld dei jet e delle concubine al Bernard Cornfeld della prigione di Saint-Antoine: il lasso di tempo è spesso di pochi mesi, o al massimo di qualche anno. Queste ascese fulminee e queste rovinose cadute destano meraviglia e una certa maligna soddisfazione, soprattutto perché accadono ad altri. Eppure, in questi casi, naturalmente, è la storia a contare, non il suo significato. (J.K. Galbraith)»

Lezione n. 3 – Il “Continental”: Guerra + Stampa di valuta = ZERO

La valuta “Continental” crollò entro il 1780 perché il Congresso Continentale degli Stati Uniti stampò enormi quantità di cartamoneta priva di copertura per finanziare la Guerra d’Indipendenza. Il Congresso incrementò l’emissione di banconote passando dai 2 milioni di dollari del 1775 agli oltre 200 milioni del 1779, provocando un’inflazione galoppante. Mentre la massa monetaria cartacea lievitava vertiginosamente e le merci scarseggiavano, la fiducia del pubblico svanì. Nel 1780 la valuta aveva perso praticamente tutto il suo potere d’acquisto, dando origine alla celebre espressione “non vale un Continental”. Gli americani ripiegarono sul baratto o sull’uso di moneta metallica (valuta pregiata), laddove disponibile.

L’espressione inglese “not worth a Continental” (non valere un “Continental”) indica che qualcosa è assolutamente privo di valore. Deriva dalla valuta “Continental” — cartamoneta emessa dal Congresso Continentale durante la Guerra d’indipendenza americana — che subì un’iperinflazione estrema perdendo ogni valore entro il 1781. Si racconta che i creditori fuggissero dai debitori per evitare di essere pagati con quella carta ormai priva di valore.

Lezione 4 - L’iperinflazione tedesca

Ho dedicato un’intera newsletter a questo episodio perché rispecchia perfettamente la situazione attuale. Immagina di essere, oggi, un cittadino tedesco del 1921, poco prima del collasso totale della valuta.

Ecco alcuni paragrafi:

«La Germania cercò di far fronte agli enormi costi della guerra (sono sempre le guerre...) facendo appello allo spirito di sacrificio della popolazione. “Ho dato oro in cambio di ferro” era lo slogan che accompagnava la consegna di ornamenti e gioielli d’oro. “Investite nei prestiti di guerra” fu l’appello rivolto al senso patriottico del dovere di tutte le classi sociali. Le successive emissioni di prestiti di guerra trasformarono la gran parte della ricchezza privata tedesca in titoli di credito cartacei nei confronti dello Stato... titoli che persero valore al termine del conflitto.

(I TITOLI DI CREDITO CARTACEI AZZERANO SEMPRE IL LORO VALORE)!

Giorno dopo giorno, nel corso del 1920, 1921 e 1922, il momento della resa dei conti veniva rimandato – tanto più facilmente in quanto le conseguenze previste dell’inflazione si facevano sempre più terrificanti.»

Più lungo è il ritardo, più brutale è la cura.

La stabilità giunse solo quando si toccò il fondo, quando non si poteva scendere più in basso, quando tutto ciò che quattro anni di codardia finanziaria, ostinazione e cattiva gestione avevano cercato di scongiurare si era effettivamente verificato: quando l’inconcepibile era inevitabilmente accaduto.

Il denaro non è altro che un mezzo di scambio; può funzionare come tale solo quando il suo valore è riconosciuto dagli altri. Più tale riconoscimento è diffuso, più il denaro diventa utile. Una volta svanito quel riconoscimento, i tedeschi scoprirono che la loro valuta cartacea non aveva alcun valore o utilità, se non come carta da parati o materiale per costruire aeroplanini di carta. La scoperta che sconvolse la loro società fu che il tradizionale potere d’acquisto era evaporato e che non esisteva più alcun parametro per misurare il valore di alcunché. Per molti, la vita divenne una ricerca ossessiva di *Sachwerte* — beni di “valore reale e costante”: Stinnes acquistava fabbriche, miniere e giornali; l’umile ferroviere comprava oggetti disparati. In gran parte, il grado di necessità divenne l’unico criterio di valore: il fondamento di ogni cosa, dal baratto ai comportamenti.

I valori umani lasciarono il posto agli istinti animali.

Contrariamente a qualsiasi presupposto filosofico, non fu un’esperienza salutare.

Se la sorte toccata alle sconfitte Potenze Centrali all’inizio del 1923 può servire da indicazione, allora il collasso del mezzo di scambio riconosciuto, tradizionale e affidabile — la valuta rispetto alla quale si misurano tutti i valori, che garantisce lo status sociale, da cui dipende la sicurezza e in cui si accumulano i frutti del lavoro — scatena avidità, violenza, miseria e odio (in gran parte generati dalla paura) tali che nessuna società può uscirne indenne e immutata.

Sul *Toronto Star Weekly* del dicembre 1923, Ernest Hemingway descrisse un’asta di strada di banconote svalutate dall’inflazione — marchi tedeschi, corone austriache, rubli russi — che i cittadini di Toronto erano stati incoraggiati ad acquistare nella speranza (una speranza di cui tedeschi, austriaci e russi erano stati da tempo brutalmente privati) che, una volta tornata la normalità, quelle banconote avrebbero recuperato il loro antico valore. Nessuno spiegava agli acquirenti che la valuta russa, apparentemente a buon mercato, era stata stampata in tagli da milioni di rubli il più rapidamente possibile, allo scopo di annullare il valore della vecchia valuta imperiale e, di conseguenza, quello della classe abbiente. Ora i sovietici hanno emesso rubli garantiti dall’oro. Nessuno di questi rubli garantiti dall’oro è finito nelle mani dei venditori ambulanti».

Immagina di trovarti in Germania nel 1920. Noti che la situazione sta peggiorando, eppure continui a riporre le tue speranze nella valuta e nei mercati che rappresentano i tuoi risparmi.

Valuti l’idea di acquistare oro. Osservi il prezzo dell’oro espresso nella valuta corrente e pensi: “Al momento costa troppo. Meglio lasciar perdere”. Così, non lo compri.

Poi arriva il 1923 e la valuta crolla.

Ora ti trovi nella stessa situazione: guardi il prezzo — in dollari — di un’oncia d’oro e pensi che 4.500 siano troppi.

Poi arriva il momento in cui quell’oncia vale 100 miliardi di unità di valuta.

Il problema è che nessuno vuole più la tua valuta, dato che il suo valore è sceso a zero... e l’unico denaro su cui avresti potuto contare sarebbe stato quell’oncia d’oro: quella che non hai comprato perché pensavi costasse troppo.

Ora che lo sai, chiediti: riuscirai a convivere con il rimorso?

Lezione 5 - L’iper-bolla di oggi

Come abbiamo visto, gli schemi sono sempre identici:

1. periodi di guerra,

2. euforia finanziaria,

3. Negazione diffusa (non è possibile che accada di nuovo).

Come quel mio collega viscido e ripugnante che negava l’evidenza di fronte ai fatti; ancora oggi, tutti restano legati a un sistema destinato a ripercorrere i medesimi schemi storici.

La tecnologia ha contribuito enormemente a questo colossale inganno. Perché? Perché la tecnologia è affascinante e universalmente accettata.

Le persone sono state nuovamente convinte – come il professor Galbraith ci aveva giustamente avvertito – che la magia di creare ricchezza dal nulla sia possibile grazie all’innovazione finanziaria. «Nel corso dei secoli, gli uomini hanno creduto di aver scoperto il segreto per la sua moltiplicazione infinita».

Oggi l’attenzione è rivolta esclusivamente alla tecnologia. Di conseguenza, si ripresentano le stesse dinamiche del crollo del 1929: le aziende emettono obbligazioni per acquistare azioni, scommettendo su un aumento del valore di mercato di queste ultime per poter pagare gli interessi sui debiti.

L’attuale sistema economico si fonda sulla crescita perpetua del debito, che genera interessi nel corso del tempo; tali interessi vanno a sommarsi al debito iniziale (attualmente, gli Stati Uniti pagano 24 miliardi di dollari a settimana solo di interessi sul proprio debito).

Ogni debito è strutturato sulla base di garanzie collaterali sottostanti. Affinché questo modello economico sia sostenibile, il valore di tali garanzie deve aumentare. La bolla immobiliare del 2008 ha dimostrato che il prezzo delle garanzie (gli immobili) non può crescere indefinitamente.

Non è stato nemmeno necessario un calo dei prezzi; è bastato che il tasso di crescita del valore delle abitazioni scendesse sotto la doppia cifra perché la bolla scoppiasse.

Il settore immobiliare è ormai troppo costoso rispetto ai salari medi. Si è raggiunto il limite della crescita perpetua: è impossibile continuare a gonfiare i prezzi delle case allo stesso ritmo dell’aumento esponenziale del debito.

Ci stiamo addentrando in una nuova bolla.

Quella attuale è alimentata dalle previsioni sulla redditività delle aziende che operano nell’ambito dell’intelligenza artificiale.

La differenza sostanziale è che le case sono, quantomeno, beni fisicamente reali e necessari.

L’IA è certamente necessaria, ma la Cina la offre praticamente gratis.

La domanda è: quanto è sostenibile una bolla del debito che scommette sulla redditività di aziende produttrici di qualcosa che nessuno acquisterà, proprio perché quel bene sta diventando, al contempo, gratuito?

E poi, un’altra riflessione. Dato che mantenere in piedi questo modello richiede – come abbiamo visto – di gonfiare il prezzo di un bene a garanzia (collaterale), quale sarà il prossimo asset a vedere il proprio valore salire alle stelle? A giudicare dai massicci acquisti di oro da parte di banche centrali e investitori istituzionali, quel bene destinato a rivalutarsi potrebbe benissimo essere l’oro; ecco perché detenerlo, in questa fase storica, potrebbe rappresentare il modo migliore per partecipare al futuro scenario economico.

Eppure, vi dicono di non comprare oro. Di conseguenza, la gente non lo compra. La gente vuole le criptovalute, perché promettono di trasformarli in miliardari...

E credo davvero che questa promessa si avvererà! Sul serio! Tutti i detentori di criptovalute diventeranno miliardari!

Proprio come in Germania nel 1923, quando il marco tedesco rese tutti trilionari praticamente dall’oggi al domani. Solo che nessuno voleva più quella roba.

Euforia e isteria sono arrivate. Vi prego, evitate la disperazione. Comprate oro e salvatevi.

In 2008, before the collapse of the entire banking system, I was still working for a bank in Italy. I resigned in 2021.

In those years, my bank was expanding by acquiring branches throughout Italy, and I was travelling a lot all over the country to assist with this process.

I was reading Zero Hedge religiously every day, including the comments, which are often better than the articles. Bear Stearns had already gone belly up, and all eyes were focused on Lehman Brothers. Guys on Zero Hedge already knew it was a matter of days before the unthinkable happened!

So, with a sincere, good heart, I was trying to warn whomever I met at the bank about the imminent collapse that was about to take place, and that none of my former coworkers had a clue about because of their carelessness and outright ignorance. The thing is, if you don’t understand English, how is one supposed to follow the news directly from Wall Street?

I remember one day, during the summer of 2008, when I was asking one branch director if he felt safe having his savings in the stock market, considering the imminent danger.

He was a very oily-skinned, cheap weasel, divorced because caught cheating scumbag, surely affected by metabolic syndrome due to horrific eating habits. He listened to me with an air of condescension and told me that he didn’t see a reason to divest because his stocks were gaining. Later, the same director was demoted and relocated to human resources. In the branch that he managed, a small local “Madoff” had accumulated losses of about 20 million euros from trusting gullible customers right in the same branch that he was supposed to supervise as a director.

Lehman Brothers collapsed on September 15, 2008. I was there. The very few who’d listened to me thank me to this day. The others probably still don’t have a clue. But the oily bastard from human resources started his personal battle against me. Envy is a nasty feeling, and in banking it is a driving force!

Incapable of understanding evil, I find myself surprised when I see it and hurt when I receive it, but that is one lesson I learned the hard way and one more reason to feel better about my decision of quitting my banking career.

So, what do we learn from the 2008 collapse and all the other before it? The same pattern over and over, because greed is stronger than wisdom and because people forget. So, let’s not forget this time. This is the pattern, over and over again:

1. EUPHORIA

2. HYSTERIA

3. DESPAIR

We are now entering the Hysteria phase. The phase technically known as the blow-off top. The brightest moment of the explosion of the last firework, before silence and darkness hit.

Still to this day, we haven’t fully seen the bottom of the monetary collapse that should have taken place in 2008, because the disaster has been papered over with trillions of additional currency. How many trillions? Nobody knows for sure. Could be trillions, quadrillions, or even quintillions, since toxic finance and OTC derivatives can be, and are, hidden in the folds of the shadow banking system.

The study of the history of monetary cycles teaches us one very simple lesson:

AT THE END OF EVERY PAPER EUPHORIA, THOSE WHO CHECKED OUT IN TIME AND CONVERTED IT INTO GOLD FARED MUCH BETTER THAN THOSE WHO KEPT THE FULL TRUST IN THE CURRENCY UNTIL THE FINAL DISASTER.

Let’s recap a few of the most celebrated disasters in monetary history so that we don’t repeat the same mistake!

The ingredients are always the same.

Economic history always features a recurring theme: wars. All wars require vast amounts of money. Every war and every revolution has always been financed by devalued money and oceans of paper currency.

That is exactly what is happening again.

So, what do we learn from past events?

That when a monetary disaster caused by excessive currency printing and paper debt finally plays out, two categories of people always emerge:

1) those left holding the paper

2) those who convert that paper into gold in time—while it is still possible.

Lesson number 1, Florence, Italy, 1348.

It was a period of severe economic crisis—the time following the collapse of the Florentine banking houses of Bardi and Peruzzi.

A very strong currency, respected throughout Europe—the gold florin—circulated in Florence. Transporting bags of gold along Europe’s roads was dangerous and difficult; therefore, bankers started issuing payment orders and letters of credit. How did the system work? Instead of physically counting out gold florins at the counter, bankers recorded money transfers between clients through documentation. The strength of this “paper-based” payment system relied entirely on trust and the solidity of the network of branches that Florentine bankers maintained across Europe. But as it always happens, paper promises became immensely bigger than the available gold.

Edward III of England failed to repay the massive loans obtained to finance military campaigns (it’s always the wars!) during the Hundred Years’ War against France (approximately 900,000 gold florins lost by the Bardi and 600,000 by the Peruzzi). The collapse of the two “super-companies”—which at the time represented Europe’s largest financial institutions—dragged down dozens of smaller banks (such as the Acciaiuoli and the Antellesi).

Paper was everywhere. Only gold disappeared! And paper became worthless!

Over 350 Florentine families and entrepreneurs declared bankruptcy, and a drastic collapse of the real estate market and the city’s political stability ensued (It always causes civil unrest). The Ciompi Revolt was a famous popular uprising that broke out in Florence between July and August 1378. Its protagonists were the “Ciompi”—the lowly wage laborers of the Wool Guild (*Arte della Lana*). Exploited, devoid of political rights, and lacking representation within the guilds, they rose up to demand better wages, tax justice, and the right to form their own guilds.

For a brief period, they succeeded in establishing new guilds for the poorest workers and brought their leader, Michele di Lando, to power as *Gonfaloniere di Giustizia* (Standard-Bearer of Justice). Almost immediately upon taking office, however, Michele di Lando allied himself with Florence’s powerful families against the poor who had placed their hopes in him. Within a few weeks, discontent with his leadership mounted, particularly when a request for the cancellation of debts owed to employers was denied.

Filippo Villani provides a vivid account of the revolt’s collapse:

“The Ciompi departed like a broken people, leaderless and bewildered, for they had trusted in—and were betrayed by—themselves.” (Political leaders always lie and associate with the powers that be)!

Europe was recovering from the War of the Spanish Succession, which had ended with the Peace of Utrecht in 1713–1714. The Anglo-French Alliance: Signed in 1716, Britain and France joined forces to protect the treaty terms and block Spanish or Russian expansion. This partnership led directly to the War of the Quadruple Alliance (1718–1720), where France fought alongside Britain and Austria against Spain’s attempts to reclaim Italian territories. Once again, wars need to be financed, and paper is the item of choice.

Here is an excerpt from Professor Galbraith: «Over the centuries, men have believed they had discovered the secret to its infinite multiplication. And with the same confidence with which they convinced themselves of this, they managed to convince others as well. Invariably, this entails the rediscovery—perhaps in a slightly new guise—of some age-old swindle. The interval between the dizzying heights of financial genius and the nadir of the subsequent collapse... From John Law, savior of the French Regency, to the penitent John Law in Venice; from Nicholas Biddle—the first king of American finance, a figure capable of striking fear even into presidents—to Nicholas Biddle, who became Philadelphia’s most famous bankrupt; from the Bernard Cornfeld of jets and concubines to the Bernard Cornfeld of St. Antoine prison—the span is often merely a few months, or at most a few years. These meteoric rises and terrible falls are a source of wonder and a certain malicious satisfaction, especially because they happen to other people. Lesson n. 3 - The Continental - War + Printing Press = ZERO

The Continental currency collapsed by 1780 because the US Continental Congress printed massive amounts of unbacked paper money to fund the Revolutionary War. Congress escalated printing from $2 million in 1775 to over $200 million by 1779, causing runaway inflation. As the volume of paper skyrocketed and goods dwindled, public trust vanished. By 1780, the currency lost virtually all purchasing power, giving rise to the famous phrase "not worth a Continental". Americans resorted to barter or hard coin (specie) whenever available.

The expression “not worth a Continental” means that something is absolutely worthless. It derives from the “Continental” currency—paper money issued by the Continental Congress during the American Revolutionary War—which suffered extreme hyperinflation and lost all value by 1781. It is said that creditors would flee from debtors to avoid being paid in the worthless paper.

Lesson 4 - German Hyperinflation

I have dedicated an entire newsletter to this episode because it perfectly matches what is going on now. Think of yourself today as a German in 1921, just before the total collapse of the currency.

Here are a few paragraphs:

«Germany sought to meet the colossal costs of the war (it’s always the wars) by appealing to the people’s spirit of sacrifice. “I gave gold for iron” was the slogan accompanying the surrender of gold ornaments and jewelry. “Invest in war loans” was the appeal made to the patriotic sense of duty across all social classes. Successive issues of war loans transformed the bulk of private German wealth into paper claims against the State... the war loans lost their value after the war ended.

(PAPER CLAIMS ALWAYS GO TO ZERO)!

Day by day, throughout 1920, 1921, and 1922, the day of reckoning was postponed—all the more easily because the predicted consequences of inflation were becoming increasingly terrifying.

The longer the delay, the more savage the cure.

Stability arrived only when rock bottom was reached, when the floor could drop no lower, when everything that four years of financial cowardice, obstinacy, and mismanagement had been designed to avert had actually come to pass—when the inconceivable had inevitably arrived.

Money is nothing more than a medium of exchange; it can function as such only when its value is recognized by others. The more widespread that recognition, the more useful the money becomes. Once that recognition vanished, Germans learned that their paper currency held no value or utility other than as wallpaper or material for folding paper airplanes. The discovery that shattered their society was that traditional purchasing power had evaporated and that there was no longer any yardstick to measure the value of anything. For many, life became an obsessive quest for *Sachwerte*—things of “real and constant value”: Stinnes bought up factories, mines, and newspapers; the humblest railway worker bought up odds and ends. For the most part, the degree of necessity became the sole criterion of value—the foundation for everything, from barter to behavior.

Human values ​​gave way to animal instincts.

Contrary to any philosophical assumption, it was not a salutary experience.

If the fate that befell the defeated Central Powers in early 1923 is any indication, then the collapse of the recognized, traditional, and reliable medium of exchange—the currency against which all values ​​are measured, which secures social status, upon which security depends, and in which the fruits of labor are accumulated—unleashes such greed, violence, misery, and hatred (largely born of fear) that no society can survive unscathed and unchanged.

In the *Toronto Star Weekly* of December 1923, Ernest Hemingway described a street auction of inflationary banknotes—German marks, Austrian crowns, Russian rubles—that Toronto citizens had been encouraged to buy in the hope (a hope of which Germans, Austrians, and Russians had long since been brutally robbed) that once sanity returned, the banknotes would regain their old value. No one explained to the listeners that the seemingly cheap Russian currency had been printed in denominations of millions of rubles as fast as possible, in order to wipe out the value of the old imperial currency and, consequently, the moneyed class. Now the Soviets have issued gold-backed rubles. None of these gold-backed ones are in the hands of the pitchmen».

Imagine you are in Germany in 1920. You notice things are getting worse, yet you still pin your hopes on the currency and the markets that represent your savings.

You consider buying gold. You look at the price of gold in currency and think: “It’s too expensive right now. Better not.” So, you don’t buy it.

Then 1923 arrives, and the German currency collapses.

Now, you are in the same situation; you look at the price—in dollars—of an ounce of gold, thinking that 4,500 is too much.

Then comes the moment when that ounce is worth 100 billion units of currency.

The trouble is, no one wants your currency anymore because its value has dropped to zero... and the only money you could have relied on would have been that ounce of gold—the one you didn’t buy because you thought it cost too much.

Ask yourself now that you know this, will you be able to live with the regret?

Lesson 5 - Today’s hyperbubble

As we have seen, the patterns are always identical:

1. times of wars,

2. financial euphoria,

3. widespread denial

Such as my oily, disgusting coworker who denied the inevitable when confronted with facts; everyone to this day is still invested in the system that is about to follow the same historical patterns.

Technology helped a lot in this massive deception. Why? Because technology is cool and universally accepted.

People have been convinced once again, as Professor Galbraith rightfully warned us about, that the magic of wealth from nothing is possible because of financial innovation. «Over the centuries, men have believed they had discovered the secret to its infinite multiplication».

Now, people only care about what is technological. And so, there comes the same identical dynamics as the 1929 crash: companies issue bonds to buy equity, betting on the increase of the stock market value to be able to pay the interest on the debts.

The current economic system is based on the perpetual growth of debt that accrues interest over time. This interest is added to the initial debt. (Currently, the US pays $24 billion a week in interest alone on its debt).

All debt is structured around underlying collateral pledged as security. For this economic model to be sustainable, the value of the underlying collateral must appreciate. The 2008 real estate bubble demonstrated that the price of the collateral (real estate) cannot be driven up indefinitely.

A price drop was not even required; it took only for the rate of home price appreciation to fall below double digits for the bubble to burst.

Real estate is now too expensive relative to average wages. The limit of perpetual growth has been reached; it is impossible to keep inflating home prices at the same pace as the exponential rise in debt.

We are entering a new bubble.

The current bubble is being inflated by forecasts regarding the profitability of AI companies.

The huge difference is that houses are, at the very least, physically real and necessary.

AI is indeed necessary, but China is offering it practically for free.

The question is: how sustainable is a debt bubble betting on the profitability of companies producing something that no one will buy—because that very thing is simultaneously becoming free?

Then, another thought. Given that sustaining this model requires—as we have seen—inflating the price of a collateral asset, which asset will be the next to see its value skyrocket? Judging by the massive gold purchases made by central banks and institutional investors, that asset slated for revaluation could well be gold; this is why holding it at this historic juncture might be the best way to participate in the future economic landscape.

But you are being told not to buy gold. And therefore, people are not buying gold. People want CRYPTO because it promises to turn them into billionaires….

And I truly believe that this promise will come true! Seriously!

Just like in Germany, in 1923, when the German mark made everyone a trillionaire practically overnight. Just nobody wanted that stuff anymore.

Euphoria and Hysteria are here. Please avoid Despair. Buy gold and save yourself.

La storia offre sempre lezioni importanti. Il problema è che la gente si annoia e non impara mai la lezione. Le persone dimenticano, e tutto finisce sempre in tragedia.

Già solo leggendo il titolo di questa newsletter, sono certo che in pochi continueranno a leggere. Perché? Beh, ammettiamolo: per la maggior parte delle persone la storia è noiosa. Cosa non è noioso? L’entusiasmo facile, il clamore, la frenesia del momento (*hype*). La gente vuole questo. La gente vuole arricchirsi in fretta.

Pensiamo alla storia di Pinocchio: spiega perfettamente il concetto.

Da chi riceve le monete d’oro Pinocchio? Proprio dal “burattinaio” Mangiafuoco. Si lascia però subito convincere dal vecchio trucco secondo cui è possibile moltiplicare la ricchezza dall’oggi al domani. Basta fidarsi delle persone giuste, no? Il burattinaio ha l’oro…il burattino no.

Significativa a proposito questa vignetta storica che ho trovato sul libro LE SECRETS DE L’OR scritto dalla Banca di Francia, dove si vedono le persone come burattini che, appunto, danno via volentieri il proprio oro per ricevere in cambio biglietti di promesse di banca.

È proprio questo che la gente vuole. Conservare l’oro è troppo noioso. La maggior parte delle persone ignora il fatto che l’oro sia sopravvissuto a qualsiasi altra forma di moneta. Non stimola l’avidità. Richiede prudenza e saggezza, due doti decisamente noiose.

Il fatto che l’oro funga da moneta da oltre 6.000 anni offre una risposta semplice; tuttavia, i media sono costantemente orientati a distogliere l’attenzione della gente dall’oro, arrivando al punto di definirlo – come fa questo articolo del Financial Times – una bolla in corso da 6.000 anni.

L’oro è denaro, e lo è sempre stato. Questa verità è forse troppo semplice da accettare. La semplicità annoia. Soprattutto nell’era tecnologica e futuristica in cui, se qualcosa non è un “qualcosa+X”, non è ritenuto rilevante o degno di considerazione.

Il celebre economista J.K. Galbraith lo ha espresso nel modo più perfetto scrivendo:

“Il processo attraverso il quale le banche creano denaro è così semplice che la mente ne è respinta.”

Sì, LA MENTE NE È RESPINTA.

E poi c’è l’avidità, quella folle forza motrice che acceca le persone inducendole a negare l’evidenza, mentre le attira come pesci verso un’esca ben confezionata.

Su un altro piano troviamo i grandi attori del mercato e le banche centrali, per i quali l’oro non sembra mai noioso: mentre distribuiscono carta ed euforia artificiale alla collettività, loro accumulano oro.

È l’unica lezione che la storia monetaria ci impartisce ogni volta. Esistono sempre e solo due categorie:

1. CHI POSSIEDE ORO

2. CHI NON LO POSSIEDE

“All’inizio del XIV secolo, Firenze era la capitale bancaria d’Europa. I banchieri fiorentini finanziavano re, papi e mercanti, gestendo reti internazionali che si estendevano da Londra a Napoli, da Parigi al Mediterraneo orientale. Le famiglie Bardi e Peruzzi occupavano il vertice di questo sistema. Le loro banche gestivano i debiti reali, curavano i trasferimenti internazionali e agevolavano i commerci attraverso le lettere di credito: un’innovazione che ridusse la necessità di trasportare oro fisico lungo percorsi pericolosi. La ricchezza di Firenze non fu frutto del caso. Si fondava su fiducia, reputazione e una raffinatezza finanziaria senza eguali nel resto dell’Europa medievale. Il sistema subì un crollo drammatico nel 1346, quando il re d’Inghilterra Edoardo III andò in default su enormi prestiti contratti con i banchieri fiorentini, in particolare le famiglie Bardi e Peruzzi. Tali prestiti avevano finanziato le campagne militari inglesi, incluse le fasi iniziali della Guerra dei cent’anni. Il mancato rimborso ebbe conseguenze catastrofiche: le banche Bardi e Peruzzi collassarono sotto il peso dei debiti insoluti, innescando una crisi finanziaria che si propagò in tutta Firenze. Cosa ci insegna questa lezione? Ci insegna un concetto molto semplice: quando nella politica monetaria compaiono “ENORMI PRESTITI” destinati alla guerra (come adesso), la mossa più prudente è essere i PRIMI a correre in banca per convertire le “lettere di credito” – ovvero la carta – in oro vero; perché è solo quando ormai è troppo tardi che ci si rende conto di come la carta priva di valore sia ovunque, mentre di oro non ce n’è più traccia. Ricordate le due sole categorie? Rileggiamole: non ditemi che le avete già dimenticate:

1. CHI POSSIEDE ORO

2. CHI NON LO POSSIEDE

In quest’epoca di ENORMI PRESTITI E GUERRE, cosa preferireste avere? CARTA O ORO?

Potrebbe sembrare una cosa ovvia per i saggi, ma la storia ci insegna che la saggezza è rara come l’oro.

Sempre da Galbraith, ecco un’altra citazione:

«LA MONETA...nel corso dei secoli, gli uomini hanno creduto di aver scoperto il segreto della sua infinita moltiplicazione. E con la stessa sicurezza con cui hanno persuaso di questo se stessi, sono riusciti a convincere anche gli altri. Invariabilmente ciò comporta la riscoperta, magari in forma leggermente nuova, di qualche truffa infinitamente antica.

L’intervallo di tempo tra le altezze trascendentali del genio finanziario e il nadir del suo crollo successivo.

Dal John Law, salvatore della Reggenza francese, al John Law penitente a Venezia; dal Nicholas Biddle, primo re della finanza americana, personaggio capace di metter paura persino ai presidenti, al Nicholas Biddle divenuto il più famoso dei falliti di Philadelphia; dal Bernard Cornfeld dei jet e delle concubine, al Bernard Cornfeld della prigione di St. Antoine - è spesso di pochi mesi, o al massimo di pochi anni.

Queste ascese vertiginose, queste terribili cadute sono oggetto di meraviglia e di una certa malvagia soddisfazione, specialmente perché capitano ad altri. Ma in questi casi, certo, è la storia che è importante, non il suo significato.»

Di questa lezione di storia colpiscono la figura di Bernard Cornfeld e la somiglianza del suo comportamento con quello dei protagonisti della nostra epoca. «Bernard Cornfeld, quello dei jet privati ​​e delle concubine». A chi vi fa pensare? Esatto! Un altro caso storico da riscoprire. Stesso copione, stesse abitudini degenerate e stessa fine tragica per chi affida i propri sudati risparmi a gente del genere.

Uno stile di vita davvero sfarzoso... ma come andò a finire?

Nella primavera del 1970, il valore delle azioni della sua società di fondi comuni, la Investors Overseas Service (IOS), scese da 18 a 12 dollari. Cornfeld costituì un gruppo di investimento con altri investitori, ma subì delle perdite quando il valore delle azioni crollò a 2 dollari. Il finanziere Robert Vesco, anch’egli in difficoltà economiche all’epoca, si rivolse a Cornfeld offrendogli il proprio aiuto. Vesco utilizzò poi 500 milioni di dollari dell’IOS per coprire i propri investimenti nella sua International Controls Corporation. Una volta scoperto, Vesco fuggì in Costa Rica. L’IOS collassò, trascinando con sé nel fallimento diverse banche statunitensi ed europee.

Chi aveva oro o chi aveva quote di IOS? Chi pensate abbia avuto la meglio al momento del crollo della società?

E quindi, cosa fare adesso? Acquistare oro è sufficiente a salvarci da ciò che ci aspetta? Non basta. Ecco alcuni altri consigli utili da imparare o riscoprire.

Tra le persone di buon senso e di buon cuore prevale una sensazione di angoscia dovuta all’ingiustizia dilagante.

Bisogna ragionare in modo lucido per valutare la realtà.

Chi comanda e decide è uscito allo scoperto.

Hanno voluto farsi vedere e farci vedere cosa sono capaci di fare a noi e ai nostri bambini.

Lo abbiamo visto tutti.

Chiedere giustizia a questa confraternita di mostri è ingenuo.

Abbiamo anche capito che lo strumento che rende invincibile il loro potere è il denaro; infatti, la parte visibile del vertice della confraternita è costituita da elementi collegati alla finanza internazionale.

Dispongono di soldi infiniti per pagare e corrompere chiunque.

Dispongono di “hitmen” per eliminare fisicamente chiunque.

Lo abbiamo visto più volte.

La domanda che ognuno deve quindi rivolgere a sé stesso è:

È possibile fare qualcosa?

N.2) Dato che hanno detto che faranno un GRANDE RESET, potrebbe essere opportuno togliere i soldi dai loro istituti e dai loro server e convertire i soldi fasulli in beni reali e tangibili. N.3) Dato che tutti i giorni arrivano energumeni tagliagole, conservare una forma fisica eccellente e conoscere almeno alcuni rudimenti di arti marziali e di sopravvivenza. (Per iniziare consiglio il Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu come tecnica di difesa personale più affidabile).

Non fare niente riguardo ai 3 punti qui sopra significa essere d’accordo con il piano e, come nel caso delle iniezioni letali durante la scamdemic, il 99,9% della gente ha sempre dimostrato di essere d’accordo. Chi è d’accordo è complice.

In tempi di RESET, preservare la ricchezza equivale a preservare la vita!

By the title of this newsletter, I am already sure that very few will read on. Why? Because let’s admit it: history is boring to the most. What’s not boring? Hype! People want hype. People want to get rich fast.

Let’s consider the novel Pinocchio; that explains this perfectly.

Pinocchio is given some gold coins by whom? Yes, the «puppet master» Mangiafuoco. He is instantly persuaded by the old trick that multiplying wealth is possible overnight. You just have to trust the right people, right?

That is what people want. Keeping gold is too boring. The fact that it has outlived any other form of money is ignored by most. It doesn’t trigger greed. It requires prudence and wisdom, two very tedious attributes of one’s life.

The fact that gold has been money for over 6000 years is a simple answer, and the press is constantly oriented to distract people from gold, going to the extent of this F.T. article calling it a 6000-year-old ongoing bubble.

Gold is money, and it has always been money. This truth is probably too simple to accept. Simple is boring. Especially in the futuristic techno era where if something is not an “Xsomething” is not relevant and worthy of consideration.

Yes, THE MIND IS REPELLED.

And then, there is greed, that insane driving force that blinds people to deny evidence whilst luring them like fish after a well-presented bait.

On the other level, there are big players and central banks, and how they never seem to consider gold boring. While they distribute paper and hype to the collectivity, they accumulate gold.

That is the only lesson that monetary history teaches us every time. There are always only two categories:

1. THOSE THAT HAVE GOLD

2. THOSE THAT DON’T

I am Italian from Florence. The city of Florence.

By the early 14th century, Florence was the banking capital of Europe. Florentine bankers financed kings, popes, and merchants, operating international networks that stretched from London to Naples, from Paris to the eastern Mediterranean. The Bardi and Peruzzi families stood at the pinnacle of this system. Their banks managed royal debts, handled international transfers, and facilitated trade through letters of credit — an innovation that reduced the need to transport physical gold across dangerous routes. Florence’s wealth was not accidental. It was built on trust, reputation, and financial sophistication unmatched elsewhere in medieval Europe.

Central to Florentine banking success was the florin d’oro, introduced in 1252. Struck in pure gold and remarkably consistent in weight and quality, the florin quickly became the most trusted currency in Europe. Merchants, rulers, and institutions accepted the florin without hesitation. It functioned as a global financial language, enabling Florence to dominate international commerce. The strength of the florin reinforced the authority of Florentine banks — and encouraged increasingly ambitious lending.

The system unraveled dramatically in 1346, when King Edward III of England defaulted on enormous loans owed to Florentine bankers, particularly the Bardi and Peruzzi. These loans had financed England’s military campaigns, including the early phases of the Hundred Years’ War. When repayment failed, the consequences were catastrophic. The Bardi and Peruzzi banks collapsed under the weight of unpaid debts, triggering a financial crisis that rippled across Florence. Fortunes vanished overnight. Confidence collapsed. Entire families lost political influence, property, and prestige. This was one of the first major international banking crises in European history — and Florence paid the price.

What does this lesson teach us? It teaches us a very simple concept: that when “ENORMOUS LOANS” for the purpose of war appear on the monetary policy, the most prudent way to act is to be the FIRST to rush to the bank and convert the “letters of credit”, the paper, in solid gold, because only when it’s too late people realize that valueless paper is everywhere, but there is no gold to get. Remember the only two categories? Let’s read them again, don’t tell me you forgot already:

1. THOSE THAT HAVE GOLD

2. THOSE THAT DON’T

In this era of ENORMOUS LOANS AND WARS, what would you rather have? PAPER OR GOLD?

This might be read as a no-brainer for the wise, but history always tells us that wisdom is as scarce as gold.

From John Law, savior of the French Regency, to the penitent John Law in Venice; from Nicholas Biddle—the first king of American finance, a figure capable of striking fear even into presidents—to Nicholas Biddle, who became Philadelphia’s most famous bankrupt; from the Bernard Cornfeld of private jets and concubines to the Bernard Cornfeld of St. Antoine prison—the interval is often a matter of mere months, or at most, a few years.

These meteoric rises and catastrophic falls are a source of wonder and a certain malicious satisfaction—especially because they happen to other people. Yet in these instances, of course, it is the story itself that matters, not its significance.»

Interesting from this history lesson the character of Bernard Cornfeld and the similitude of his conduct with the protagonists of our era. «Bernard Cornfeld of private jets and concubines». Who does he remind you of? Yes! another case of history to relearn. Same script, same deranged habits and same tragic end, for those who trust these kind of people with their hard earned money.

A lavish lifestyle indeed…and how did it end?

His mutual fund company, Investors Overseas Service’s share value decreased from $18 to $12 in the spring of 1970. Cornfeld formed an investment pool with some other investors, but they lost when the share value dropped to $2. Financier Robert Vesco who, at the time, was also in financial trouble, turned to Cornfeld and offered his help. Vesco proceeded to use $500 million worth of IOS money to cover his own investments in his International Controls Corporation. When he was discovered, Vesco fled to Costa Rica. IOS then collapsed and, in the process, ruined a number of US and European banks.

So what to do now? Is buying gold enough to save us from what is coming? Not enough. Here are some other useful tips to learn or relearn.

A sense of anguish prevails among sensible, kind-hearted people due to the rampant injustice. We must think clearly to assess reality.

Those in charge—the decision-makers—have stepped out into the open.

They wanted to be seen, and they wanted us to see what they are capable of doing to us and our children. They released THE FILES. Now we all know!

We have all witnessed it.

It is naive to seek justice from this brotherhood of monsters.

We have also realized that the tool rendering their power invincible is money; indeed, the visible figures at the top of this brotherhood are linked to international finance.

They have unlimited funds to pay off and corrupt anyone.

They have “hitmen” at their disposal to physically eliminate anyone who opposes.

We have seen this happen time and again.

The question everyone must therefore ask themselves is:

“Is there anything that can be done?”

Since they always announce what they are about to do beforehand, we must act proactively to avoid the consequences.

No. 3) Given the daily influx from abroad of thuggish cutthroats and urban guerrillas, one should maintain excellent physical fitness and learn at least the basics of martial arts and survival skills. (To start, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most effective technique).

Doing nothing about the three points above implies agreement with the plan; as was the case with the lethal injections during the “scamdemic,” 99.9% of people have consistently shown themselves to be in agreement. Those who agree are complicit.

In times of RESET, preserving wealth equals preserving life!

Paper and bank tricks are only commitments to be trusted. Gold is a promise already kept.

Alle Bahamas, chiunque abbia attraversato un centro abitato in auto ha vissuto l'esperienza di essere inseguito da uno o più cani. Di solito se ne stanno in attesa vicino a qualche giardino, del tutto indifferenti ai veicoli parcheggiati, ma pronti a scagliarsi contro le auto in movimento con uno slancio impressionante. Dato che amo anche andare in bicicletta, la cosa rappresentava un problema, finché non ho capito che i cani smettevano di inseguirmi non appena mi fermavo. I cani rincorrono solo ciò che si muove; più veloce è il movimento, maggiore è la foga.

Nel mio caso, una volta fermo, mi rendo conto che tutto ciò che volevano era solo essere accarezzati.

Nella foto qui sopra c'è un simpaticissimo "Bahamian Potcake" di nome Buttercup: un re dell'inseguimento, ma in fondo un vero tenerone.

Il principio secondo cui un veicolo in movimento attira l'inseguimento di un cane ha dato origine al proverbio citato, applicabile anche alle vicende umane: se una persona ha successo e avanza nella vita, gli invidiosi finiranno inevitabilmente per "abbaiarle" contro.

Tuttavia, osservando di recente l'andamento del prezzo dell'oro, ho notato che la stessa regola sembra valere per chi insegue il metallo prezioso: c'è chi lo rincorre freneticamente quando sale rapidamente – segnando ogni giorno nuovi massimi storici – per poi perdere completamente interesse non appena il prezzo smette di salire e subisce una correzione. Proprio come Buttercup, che passa da una corsa sfrenata accompagnata da abbai concitati a fermarsi per leccare la mano.

Quindi, cosa sta succedendo adesso?

L'ORO STA TORNANDO A SALIRE.

E i cani hanno ricominciato ad abbaiare. Comprendo questo istinto naturale. È un misto di avidità e FOMO, ed è comprensibile. Tuttavia, nel mio lavoro ho sempre cercato di sottolineare l'importanza di detenere oro in questo momento, non per avidità, ma per la responsabilità di preservare il potere d'acquisto dei propri risparmi in questi tempi di:

1. GRANDE RESET

2. RIORGANIZZAZIONE MONETARIA GLOBALE

3. GREAT TAKING

Queste tre fasi sono reali, così come sarà reale il dolore di vedere i propri risparmi azzerati. Ricapitoliamo le mosse più evidenti attualmente in corso, che è necessario monitorare con attenzione. La più significativa è il raro intervento congiunto sul mercato: il Dipartimento del Tesoro USA sta acquistando yen giapponesi (in parte vendendo euro) per sostenere la valuta nipponica – in forte calo e vicina ai minimi degli ultimi 40 anni, intorno a quota 164 yen per dollaro – contribuendo così a stabilizzare i rendimenti obbligazionari globali e i mercati valutari.

Perché gli Stati Uniti sono intervenuti sul mercato dei titoli del Tesoro USA? Il Giappone è il principale detentore estero di debito pubblico statunitense (1,14 trilioni di dollari). Prevenire impennate dei rendimenti: se il Giappone fosse stato costretto a vendere ingenti quantità di titoli del Tesoro USA per difendere autonomamente lo yen, i rendimenti delle obbligazioni americane e i costi di indebitamento interni avrebbero subito un'impennata.

È un fatto di portata colossale! Segnala quella disperazione che preannuncia prima la catastrofe e poi la capitolazione, come accade nell'atto conclusivo di ogni collasso monetario della storia.

Questi cambiamenti epocali stanno avvenendo in un'epoca segnata da guerre orchestrate e presunti disastri naturali; disordini e sconvolgimenti scoppiano quotidianamente in ogni parte del mondo, con l'Europa al centro di una inarrestabile caduta libera verso l'abisso. È impossibile per chiunque arrestare questi mutamenti dirompenti. Sarebbe come trovarsi di fronte a un'onda oceanica gigantesca e tentare di fermarla a mani nude. L'attuale sistema economico si fonda sulla crescita perpetua del debito, che matura interessi nel corso del tempo. Tali interessi vengono aggiunti al capitale iniziale. Attualmente, gli Stati Uniti pagano 22,26 miliardi di dollari a settimana solo di interessi sul proprio debito. Nel suo aggiornamento di bilancio di agosto, il CBO ha riferito che gli interessi netti sul debito pubblico hanno raggiunto un totale di 963 miliardi di dollari nel periodo compreso tra l'ottobre 2025 (inizio dell'anno fiscale) e il luglio 2026. Ciò equivale a 96,3 miliardi di dollari al mese, ovvero circa 3,18 miliardi di dollari al giorno.

Ogni debito è strutturato attorno a una garanzia sottostante costituita a tutela del prestito. Affinché questo modello economico sia sostenibile, il valore della garanzia sottostante deve aumentare. La bolla immobiliare del 2008 ha dimostrato che il prezzo della garanzia (gli immobili) non può salire all'infinito. Non è stato nemmeno necessario un calo dei prezzi: la bolla è scoppiata semplicemente perché i prezzi delle case hanno smesso di crescere a ritmi a doppia cifra. Oggi gli immobili sono troppo costosi rispetto ai salari medi. Si è raggiunto il limite della crescita perpetua. È impossibile continuare a gonfiare i prezzi delle case di pari passo con l'aumento esponenziale del debito. Ed ecco che emerge una nuova bolla. Quella attuale è alimentata dalle previsioni di profitto delle aziende che operano nell'ambito dell'intelligenza artificiale. La differenza sostanziale è che le case sono, quantomeno, beni tangibili ed essenziali. Anche l'IA è certamente essenziale......ma la Cina lo offre praticamente gratis. La domanda è: quanto è sostenibile una bolla alimentata dal debito, che scommette sulla redditività di aziende produttrici di qualcosa che nessuno acquisterà, semplicemente perché quel medesimo prodotto sta diventando, al contempo, gratuito? Ecco un'altra riflessione. Dato che il mantenimento di questo modello richiede — come abbiamo visto — di gonfiare il prezzo di un bene a garanzia, quale sarà la prossima attività a subire un massiccio rialzo delle quotazioni? A giudicare dai massicci acquisti di oro effettuati da banche centrali e investitori istituzionali, tale bene potrebbe benissimo essere l'oro. Ecco perché detenere oro, in questa fase storica, potrebbe rappresentare il modo migliore per partecipare al futuro scenario economico. Approfondisco l'argomento nei miei libri, ma credo che questo ultimo paragrafo — quello che avete appena letto — sia sufficiente a far comprendere la portata di ciò che sta accadendo e della posta in gioco.

Se rientri tra le pochissime persone che avranno il privilegio di leggere questo testo prima che arrivino "i cani"... inizia subito a prendere in considerazione l'acquisto di oro. Il prezzo dell'oro ha già ricominciato a muoversi e "i cani" stanno iniziando a drizzare le orecchie, ma non si stanno ancora muovendo né abbaiando. Quando il prezzo dell'oro riprenderà a correre, vedrai molti "cani" lanciarsi all'inseguimento della stessa oncia d'oro, e non ce ne sarà abbastanza per tutti. La massa verrà incanalata verso lo “stabbiolo" delle stablecoin (stable vuol dire stabbiolo in inglese)... e sai cos'è uno stabbiolo? È il luogo in cui vengono tenuti i maiali prima di essere macellati.

Ora che lo sai, agisci il prima possibile: esci dallo stabbiolo, evita di finire al macello e compra oro! Quando il "Great Reset" sarà realtà, potrai usare il tuo oro proprio come fanno i vincitori. Esatto. I vincitori si aggiudicano la medaglia d'oro... mentre i cani... quelli resteranno a latrare.

《Dog don't bark at parked car》

In the Bahamas, whomever has driven through a settlement, has had the experience of having his car chased by one or more dogs.

They usually wait by someone's yard, totally unresponsive to parked vehicles, yet ready to jump at moving cars with impressive momentum.

Since I also happen to like to ride my bicycle, that created a problem until I realized that dogs stopped chasing me once I stopped moving. Dogs only run after what moves. The faster the merrier.

In my case, once i stop, i realize that all they ever wanted was to be petted.

In the photo above, is a very friendly “Bahamian Potcake” named Buttercup; king of the chase, but a real buttercup in the end.

The principle of moving vehicle = chasing dog, gave origin to the afore mentioned proverb that also applies to human circumstances, such as, if one is successful and moving forward in life, envious people surely will “bark” at him.

But as I have recently noticed, observing the movements of the price of gold, the same rule have seemed to have been applied to people chasing gold when it was fast moving upwards, making all time highs every day, and totally loose interest in the chase as gold prices stopped moving up and corrected. Just like Buttercup, that goes from a frantic barking run, to a hand licking stop.

So what is going on now?

GOLD IS MOVING UP AGAIN.

And dogs are back barking.

I understand this natural instinct. It's a mixture of greed and FOMO, and it's OK.

But with my work I have always tried to underline the importance of having gold now, without principles of greed, but with the responsibility of preserving the purchasing value of one's savings in these times of:

1. THE GREAT RESET

2. GLOBAL MONETARY REORDERING

3. GREAT TAKING

These 3 phases are real as it will be real the pain of having your savings wiped out.

Let's recap the most evident moves that are ongoing and that we need to keep an eye in.

The biggest one is the rare joint market intervention, with the U.S. Treasury buying Japanese yen (partly by selling euros) to support the plunging Japanese currency from 40-year lows near 164 yen per dollar, helping stabilize global bond yields and currency markets.

Why the has the U.S. Intervened to U.S. Treasuries? Japan is the largest foreign holder of U.S. government debt ($1.14 trillion). Preventing Yield Spikes: If Japan had been forced to sell massive amounts of U.S. Treasuries to defend the yen independently, American bond yields and domestic borrowing costs would have surged.

This is MONUMENTAL! It signals the desperation that announces the catastrophe firts and capitulation after, as the final chapter of every monetary collapse in history.

These gigantic movements are happening in a time of engineered wars and alleged natural disasters, with disorders and disruptions breaking out every single day all over the world, with Europe as the epicenter of an unstoppable free fall towards the abyss.

It's not possible for anyone to stop these disruptive shifts. It would be like standing before a gigantic oceanic wave and trying to stop it with bare hands.

But we can position ourselves and ride the wave.

The current economic system is built on the perpetual growth of debt that accrues interest over time. This interest is added to the original principal. Currently, the US pays $22.26 billion a week in interest alone on its debt.

In its August budget update, the CBO reported that net interest on public debt totaled $963 billion between October 2025 (when the fiscal year begins) and July 2026. That equates to $96.3 billion a month, or approximately $3.18 billion a day.

All debt is structured around underlying collateral pledged as security. For this economic model to be sustainable, the value of the underlying collateral must appreciate. The 2008 real estate bubble demonstrated that the price of collateral (real estate) cannot rise indefinitely. A price drop wasn't even necessary; the bubble burst simply because home prices stopped rising at double-digit rates. Real estate is now too expensive for average wages. The limit of perpetual growth has been reached. It is impossible to keep inflating home prices in step with the exponential rise in debt. Enter a new bubble. The current bubble is being inflated by profit forecasts for AI companies. The huge difference is that houses are, at the very least, tangible and essential assets. AI is certainly essential, too—but China is offering it practically for free. The question is: how sustainable is a debt-fueled bubble betting on the profitability of companies producing something that no one will buy, simply because that same product is simultaneously becoming free? Here is another thought. Since maintaining this model requires inflating the price of a collateral asset—as we have seen—what will be the next asset to see its price driven up massively? Judging by the massive gold purchases made by central banks and institutional investors, that asset could well be gold. That is why holding gold at this historic juncture might be the best way to participate in the future economic landscape. I discuss this at large in my books, but this last paragraph thay you just read, I believe is sufficient to grasp the magnitude of what is going on and what is at stake.

If you are among the very, very few people who will have the privilege to read this before “the dogs”…start considering buying gold now.

The price of gold has already started to move again and “the dogs” are starting to raise a ear, but they aren't neither moving nor barking yet.

When the price of gold will resume its speed, you will see many “dogs” chasing the same ounce of gold and there will not be enough gold for everyone.

Most of the crowds will be channeled towards the “stable” of stablecoins….and you know what a stable is? Is the place where pigs are kept before being slaughtered.

Now that you know this, take action as soon as possible, jump out of the stable, don't get slaughtered: buy gold! When the GREAT RESET will be done, you will be able to use your gold as winners do.

That's right. Winners do win the GOLD MEDAL….and the dogs,….they will stay barking.

Don't give up without a fight. Stay safe.

A digital token acts as a digital prison, defining the boundaries permitted to the user— limits that cannot be crossed. The penalty is annihilation via a single click that wipes everything out.

The ultimate goal is total control over people’s lives—treating us as “livestock.” They have long been conditioning us for this by referring to us as “ordinary people” or “human resources.”

Once we are convinced that human life is not sacred and that our labor should be paid in tokens, the game is practically over: as always happens, 99.9% of people’s savings will not only be converted into tokens, but the people themselves will actually *want* this to happen, rejoicing even as they get wiped out.

The script is identical to that of the lethal injections from the SCAM-DEMIC and the lockdowns: there were people lurking, watching from their windows all night, trying to spot some lone non-zombie seeking the freedom to go for a jog. Then came the shouting and the immediate calls to law enforcement—who showed neither reason nor mercy—and the very few of them who did go out lost their jobs.

No one is on our side but ourselves.

War is the best way for bankers to covertly proceed with a monetary reset.

What does the reset entail? Wiping the slate clean on the currency system so that a new cycle can begin.

We are currently in exactly one of these historical phases, and what do we see?

We see central banks furiously accumulating gold, while the public is being sold the digital option as highly advantageous.

This record pace of accumulation makes the cryptocurrency company one of the world’s largest non-state holders of gold, rivaling the reserves of major central banks.»

This is the cartoon published in the book *Les Secrets de l’Or* by Didier Bruneel, Director General of the Banque de France—the bank that has just repatriated 129 tonnes of gold from the US and placed the precious metal bars in its own vaults.

The cartoon depicts citizens—portrayed as puppets (for that is how we are viewed)—handing over their gold to the Bank of France for the sake of the fatherland, receiving a representative banknote in return.

A question: in your opinion, did they do the right thing? Who profited—the puppets or the bank?

And so, on the eve of an identical operation, obedient puppets—with electrical wires connecting data centers directly to their brains—will mechanically follow a pre-ordained path: converting their savings into tokens that will be progressively wiped out.

There is still time to save what can be saved. But afterwards?

It can still be done afterwards, too—but with one less zero in the available balance left to save.

And the slogan holds true as well: “YOU WILL BE HAPPY”… because FREEDOM IS SLAVERY—and that is the most defining slogan of *1984*.

There are two choices here. There are always two.

1. Do nothing and let yourself be tokenized and reset.

2. Convert your savings into gold, take physical possession of it, and play the role of a protagonist rather than a puppet.

Option number two is the solution for those who refuse to give up. Many people ask me, “But Andrea, couldn’t the gold be confiscated?” That is the typical mindset of someone who has already surrendered and is making excuses for their own inadequacy. After all, their savings are already being confiscated every day through inflation—and once everything is converted into tokens: *Hasta la vista, baby!*

Right now, according to this chart, gold is being suppressed and is poised to skyrocket, just as it did last year. It looks like the lid of the pressure cooker could blow off very soon.

These are the moments when it is time to make a decision.

TOO LATE IS TOO LATE

Lo scopo finale è il controllo totale della vita delle persone intese come “livestock” ovvero bestiame. Allo scopo, ci hanno già abituati da tempo riferendosi a noi come “gente comune” oppure “risorse umane”.

Ormai convinti che la vita umana non è sacra, e che il nostro lavoro debba essere remunerato con token, il gioco è praticamente fatto: come sempre avviene, il 99.9% dei risparmi della gente verrà non solo convertito in token, ma sarà la gente stessa a desiderare che ciò avvenga, giubilando mentre sprofonda.

Il copione è identico a quello delle siringhe letali della SCAM-DEMIA e dei lockdown: c'era gente affacciata alla finestra tutta la notte per cercare di beccare qualche solitario NON zombie che cercava la libertà di fare jogging. Poi le urla e l'immediata chiamata alle forze dell'ordine che non hanno dimostrato né ragionevolezza né pietà e i pochissimiche lo lo hanno fatto hanno perso il lavoro.

Nessuno è dalla nostra parte tranne noi stessi.

La guerra è il miglior modo per i banchieri di procedere di nascosto nel reset monetario.

In cosa consiste il reset? Nell'azzeramento del sistema valutario per poi poter ripartire con un nuovo ciclo.

Adesso siamo esattamente in una di queste fasi storiche e cosa osserviamo?

Osserviamo che le banche centrali continuano ad accumulare oro in modo furioso, mentre al pubblico viene presentata come assolutamente vantaggiosa l'opzione digitale.

Questa è la vignetta pubblicata sul libro LES SECRETS DE L'OR scritto da Didier Bruneel, direttore generale della Banque de France, banca che ha appena recuperato 129 tonnellate d'oro dagli USA mettendo le barre di metallo prezioso nei propri sotterranei.

La vignetta mostra cittadini, raffigurati come burattini (questo siamo ai loro occhi) che danno il loro oro per la patria alla Banca di Francia che in cambio gli dà un biglietto rappresentativo.

Una domanda: secondo voi, hanno fatto bene? Chi ci ha guadagnato, i burattini o la banca?

Ecco quindi che alla vigilia di un’operazione identica, i burattini ubbidienti, con i fili elettrici collegati direttamente dai data center al cervello, eseguiranno come automi tutto il percorso già segnato: ovvero la conversione dei propri risparmi in token che saranno progressivamente azzerati.

Un EURO. L'unità valutaria che utilizziamo già non è più in grado di comprare niente. Cosa si paga 1 euro? Neanche un biglietto dell' autobus. Neanche un caffè. Tutto costa almeno un euro e qualcosa.

Ricordate?

Erano 2000 lire. Hanno tolto tre zeri e diviso per metà. Un paio di giorni di sbigottimento e poi più niente. La gente si abitua.

Si abitua a tutto. Alla prigionia, al dolore, alla tortura ...figuriamoci alla moneta a corso forzoso (per lavoro forzato)

E se adesso togliessero uno zero?

Per la praticità, ci diranno.

Si può sempre fare anche dopo, ma con uno zero in meno di saldo disponibile da poter salvare.

Ed è vero anche lo slogan: “SARETE FELICI”..perché FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, ed è questo lo slogan più determinante di 1984.

Qui le scelte sono 2. Sono sempre 2.

1. Non fare niente e lasciarsi tokenizzare e resettare

2. Convertire i risparmi in oro, prendendone possesso e giocare così da protagonisti e non da burattini.

Questa numero 2 è la soluzione di chi non si arrende. Infatti moltissimi mi dicono, “Andrea, ma poi l'oro te lo possono confiscare”? Classico pensiero di chi si è già arreso e trova scuse alla propria inadeguatezza. Perché i risparmi li stanno già confiscando tutti i giorni con l'inflazione e, quando saranno convertiti in token: HASTA LA VISTA BABY!

In questo momento, secondo questo grafico, l'oro è schiacciato e pronto a ripartire a razzo come ha fatto l'anno scorso. Il coperchio della pentola a pressione sembra che possa saltare molto presto.

Sono questi i momenti in cui è opportuno decidersi.
