Now slumber in the heaviness of noon heat;

The weary earth awaits the autumn moon,

While quiet shadows lie in the meadows.

No longer do the joyful thrushes fly

Through tangled woods singing fleeting tunes;

The fading hours of August, passed to soon,

And, like a dream, vanished days go by.

Yet in its stillness breathes a holy peace,

Like some calm reaper when his work is done,

Who watches from the hills the light decrease,

And counts the blessings gathered in the sun.

Though summer passes, her glories never cease,

A nobler harvest is already won.

A breathless canopy of brass and fire;

The midday heat ascends its blazing pyre,

And casted a cruel stillness on the ground,

No cooling whisper awaking a leafy sound,

The fire-ants work feverishly at night,

The weary birds forget their sweet desire,

As higher still the burning hours aspire,

And baking dust lies thick on fields abound.

Yet in this fierce, intolerable crown,

A patient power endures the searing light;

The patient earth, beneath the summer’s frown,

Awaits the cool, redeeming dews of night.

Though parched and broken under August’s reign,

The soul of nature shall revive again; again.

1) Allow your master/ mistress to tether themselves to you. This ensures they don’t wander off or run away.

A word that stole the summer air;

We watched the onset of despair,

We stepped together into that dark place.

The hospital became our quiet space,

Where hope was whispered like a silent prayer,

And through the fading strength and falling hair,

We found a courage time cannot erase.

Through Prayers

But look, the morning breaks upon the hill!

The storm has passed, the heavy night is done,

And you are here, a living triumph still.

The bond we forged when all our light was gone

Remains unbroken by winter’s chill,

Two friends who walked through darkness to the sun.

Becoming dim, a quiet night became deep,

And shadows held the house in heavy gloom,

We watched the breath flutter in the room,

While weary pain forbids the soul to sleep.

That cruel sickness made our spirits weep,

Yet love stood firm against the gathering doom.

Though mortal flesh withered and consumed,

No shadows power can our promise keep from shinning like a star above a wave.

The vows spoken in light remain,

And walk with us beside that open grace.

Through every tear; every silent groan,

The truth is true thus stronger than the grave;

True love and support survives, and never walks alone.

It holds me tight until my breath is done,

And leaves me lost in silence and despair,

A heavy chain that binds my willing hands,

It asks for all, yet gives no room to grow.

I walk alone through these unbroken lands,

Bound to a fire that brings a freezing glow.

No path is left to wander or to choose,

For every step is weighed by your embrace.

I fight to keep what I am forced to lose,

And lose myself within this sacred space.

O heavy heart that beats without a choice,

I sing my grief with no familiar voice.

Into the silent depths my soul descends,

Where your unchanging love becomes the sea,

A vast and blind embrace that buries me,

And with a weightless power breaks and bends.

No gentle shore this drowning light defends;

I sink beneath the grace I cannot flee,

Entombed alive in pure eternity,

SERIES II -Wellness II

SUMMER FUN-Hydrate for Safety’s Sake.

So, after 55 plus years of WELLNESS, I’m recently told. My best friend & I grew up in an area of hunters. Hence, we became VEGETARIAN 🥑, Recently though, after 55, we decided to incorporate salt, and or salty foods for the Potassium & Sodium Balance we needed we were told by our physicians. On this site there are a few that chat about the All protein or all meat 🥩 plan. I won’t say diet but I will say plan. Because we eat allot of vegetables it was easy to incorporate a couple oz. Of extra protein, allot more Water and a few extra supplements! the WRIGHT BRAND(suggestion because of co. Ethics)

REBOUNDER after getting up, hard bounce 10-15 minutes(equals 1mile walking) 15-30 oz. Lemon water, 8-12 oz. Espresso black daily.

AM: 1-2 Eggs with bacon, inside Ezekiel tortilla, ½ tsp. chia seeds, sm. broccoli slaw, sm. shredded cabbage, sugar free mustard, franks red hot, wrap up, cut in half eat half then other for 2 o’clock snack.

Never in 6plus months; never in my wildest of imaginations did I think I’d garner or garnish this many persons that like my chitz stuff, musings writings. I’m a fan of VERY OLD EVERYTHING, hence my odd but recently told Longfellow style, to which I’m Grateful. Words will never amount to enough as a thanks but my constant consistent musings will I hope.

Ezekiel a balance of sprouted unaltered grains.

12-2 pm lite lunch.

A choice of Riverbend Beef burger(this is the Best most cost effective), Walmart Marketplace Burger, or TSP(meat substitute you can get off Amazon. We buy it in 5 gallon buckets(lasts 6 months for a family of 4-5)

Protein, meat or tofu or tsp, fish (mix with flax, egg 🥚 parsley our body parts health), onion 🧅 tomato 🍅 avocado 🥑dill or sweet pickle on the side, with a bun or a salad. Oh the Bun(Ezekiel sprouted English muffins, if you like sweet choose Ezekiel raisin English muffins) mustard, franks red hot 🥵

cabbage cabbage 🥬 Brussel-Sprouts.

In these foods I don’t usually eat three meals, I usually eat only two then eat a snack about 5 pm. Allot of WATER.

Snacks of berries or melons, APPLES(VIP, malicACID)

No soda, no juice, WATER the most cost effective wellness plan.

Hydration is the most import function to teach a child besides brushing their teeth, and cleaning themselves.

-DIGESTION- Relies on adequate consumption to avoid constipation, helps stomach acid balance, & nutrient absorbtion.

-BRAIN- the Brain alone is 75% water. Hence, mild dehydration reduces a persons focus, memory, clarity, ANXIETY, IRRITABILITY and feelings of fatigue.

-HEART- Blood volume heavily depends on water level in the body, old-AGERS would say water or coffee. HYDRATION, regulates blood pressure your healthy heart rate, hence the heart not having to work so hard sending the correct amount of oxygen, hormones & nutrients throughout the body.

-Urinary-KIDNEYS- Hydration helps the urinary system your kidney system filter waste efficiently hence reducing urinary tract problems, or kidney stones even gallbladder stone’s.

-JOINTs- not last but important HYDRATION helps the in-nerds if you joints move smoothly thus reducing wear & tear, so hydration gives us more flexibility. Getting joint stiffness or discomfort at any age is a dehydrated body. “REMEMBER when your children say my body aches, it is dehydrated. Encourage them to drink water at a young age.

So, HYDRATE - HYDRATE

It’s asked how much: my other friend of 50 plus years says the FORMULA:

Our-Weight divided by 2 = how much you need in water. I’m 137 lbs. divided by 2=67.5 oz. . I drink 70 -75 oz. WATER Daily to cover sweating.

The REASON for my POST(another friend recently asked, why is your skin not saggy or your weight always good. I BELIEVE it’s my Water, some genetics 🧬 but MOSTLY MY HYDRATION.

-SO HYDRATION-WHY-what if- Why Not?

If you exercise

If you live in a HOT CLIMATE

If you eat high -protein, high fiber

If you drink coffee or alcohol

If you sweat ALLOT, if

If your iron is dark colored

If your without energy

If your thirsty

If your work-out sucks

If you have headaches-BRAIN FOG

The evening falls, the shadows softly grow,

Across the woodland path and silent stream;

The world is wrapped in one deceptive dream,

Where false and true wear one identical glow.

The restless heart is often quick to go

Where fleeting lights and shallow pleasures gleam,

Making foam upon the rushing stream

For steady deaths that lie concealed below.

But quiet wisdom speaks without a sound,

A steady beacon in the gathering night, to part the tangled brush along the way.

By this calm light the narrow path is found;

It sifts the darkness from the morning light,

And guides the pilgrim to the perfect day.

The world is a mask where the shadows are spun,

A theatre blurring the false and the true,

Where tinsel can mimic the gleam of the sun,

And venom is sweetened with drops of dew.

The surface is loud with a turbulent race,

A clamor of currents the shatter and gleam,

Where bubble and vapor posses all the space,

And mask the quietude deep in the stream.

For truth is bedrock unmoving and still,

Submerged in the silence beneath the unrest,

While transient phantoms contend for the Will,

And offer the good in the place of the best.

The cursor blinks within a sea of blue,

Where endless scrolling feeds a hungry mind;

A thousand voices tell you what to do,

A Challenge Set Free.

When pappy road to far-off west from Willits, ca,

He spoke the words on horseback, a waiting nation knew,

And shouted the tidings of the noonday sun.

Not knowing of what’s to come,

No more shall iron chains bind human hands,

No more the auction block divide the free he claimed;

A mandate falls upon those fertile lands, Proclaiming justice and equality at hands.

From this weary fields he said, those joyful hosts uprise,

With songs of triumph echoing the ocean breeze;

A holy light now dawns within their eyes,

As drops the heavy burden from their knees.

This day of liberation, June’s brightest gem,

Is freedom’s everlasting diadem.

A network precise design,

By math and steel defined;

Yet softer is the cradle’s pull

Upon the father’s mind.

The AN/TPY-2 radar gleams,

It sweeps the upper air;

It scans the cold eco-sphere

For threats that gather there;

A million calculations spark

To keep the airspace fair.

The cooling pumps hum low and steady,

The solid-boosters gleam;

The hit-to-kill kinetic eye

Fulfills the design team’s dream;

Yet gentler is the daughter’s sigh

Beside the screen’s bright beam.

Week in, week out, the codes are cleared.

The thermal shields are checked;

He monitors the guidance loops

To keep the sky protect;

But nothing matches the design

Waiting and hoping to weave his own fate with her gentle romances,

Oft as she passed by the threshold, his heartbeat would quicken and falter,

Like to the flame of a taper that trembles and glows in the alter.

For, as the bow to the arrow, so unto the man is the maiden,

Smoothing the paths of the weary, and lightening the spirit o’erladen.

Silent the woods and the meadows, yet louder than drum of that trumpet,

Echoed the voice of Elias Thorne longing in spaces where wild-doves would clump it.

Forward he stepped In the shadows, his purpose as pure as the morning,

Rich with courage of living, and a void of all boastful adorning.

“He adds, Turn to me oh fair one” Evangeline, he whispered, “and grant me the grace of thy favor, let us walk through the seasons, united in purpose and favor. “

Swiftly the shadows retreated, and bright rose the sun in his glory,

Turning the pages of doubt to a cheerful and whimsical story.

No longer silent and solemn, he chased after ribbons and laughter,

Careless of what might come next, if her smile followed instantly after.

Tripping o’er roots in the orchard, he offered a basket of cherries,

Blushing as red as the fruit, or the bright, over-ripened winterberries.

Evangeline, with her tilt of her bonnet, looked back with a twinkle of mischief,

Ruling Thorne’s heart with a glance, like a playful and absolute miss-chief.

“Elias” said she, laughing aloud, “thy devotion is grand and enduring,

Yet thou hast stepped in the mud, while so earnestly, boldly careering!”

Thus did his chase carry o, full of giggles and summertime glances,

Where even blunders and slips turned to merry and beautiful dances between Elias and Evangeline.
