I’ve observed over the years, sitting in man Seven Mountains and Transfer of Wealth doctrine meetings that there is something undergirding the doctrine that has the potential to contaminate what God is doing in this church age.

It’s an unspoken (and yet clearly alluded to) teaching that,

IF YOU ARE POOR, IT’S BECAUSE:

1. You are lazy

2. You made wrong life choices

3. You aren’t in God’s will

4. You don’t have enough faith

5. You aren’t in destiny

Whether we like it or not, a nasty spirit has crept in whereby we’re taught to judge those who are poor. Not just to “look down on them” but rather a self-righteous positioning that says, “If you worked as hard as me, you wouldn’t be where you are.”

Now before you all stone me… I want to flip the script on this a little bit. I follow an incredible woman by the name of Kelsey Decker. She teaches extensively on cults, abuse and the trauma they produce.

She says the same thing time and again, “It costs to get out!”

What none of us seem to get is that poverty is a trauma cycle. And once you’re in that cycle, you’re adopted into its cult. You are born into it.

Like any cult, it programs your mind. It teaches you to stick to those like yourself.

Yes, there are a few to get out, but what about those exit costs?

If your entire family is in poverty, exiting means leaving them behind.

Sometimes that poverty is the result of an abusive marriage. The cost? Sometimes your marriage.

Exit looks like leaving behind friends, family, identity and the only security you know.

IT COSTS TO EXIT POVERTY! If you’ve never been there, then you have no clue.

For those who made it out, they had someone reach into their lives and show them a different way. And yet, here many stand in the church, pointing fingers. They yell from the rooftops

“You are poor because you are lazy!”

“You are poor because you have sin in your life!”

“Your poverty defines your value as a human being”

If we are truly in a season of the transfer of wealth, then we better ditch our arrogance to not only feed the poor, but to give them understanding and opportunity too.

Sure… not everyone will break free from the cult. Some find comfort in what they know. For some, the exit cost is too high. For others, the generational trauma runs too deep.

Does that mean we stop trying to save the one?

Apostle Paul got it. He attended the counsel at Jerusalem. They confirmed that Gentile Christians didn’t need to be circumsized. They instituted another Christian-wide requirement: REMEMBER THE POOR

Not… judge the poor

Not… shame the poor

REMEMBER the poor. Look out for them. Feed them. Teach them. Save them.

We have more available to us in this age than we ever have as a Church. May we steward the grace of God in our lives, well.

Galatians 2:9–10 (NKJV): and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. 10 They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.

Apostle Paul received his while sprawled on the floor. Peter got his at the beach. Timothy? We only hear of the one impartation and then afterwards he was told to “stir up the gifts.”

So how did we get to the place where impartations became the holy grail of anointing? I’ve sat under leaders who spent the good part of 30 minutes touting the many great men they received impartations from. As if those moments in time validated their position.

It places a pressure on us. “If he received an impartation from William Branham and John G. Lake, then this must be a mighty man of God.”

In the New Testament we aren’t introduced to any apostle who claimed impartation was the sole validation of his position. So when did the call to apostleship become a race for celebrity status? The thinking we’re pressured into is this, “If I had a well-renowned spiritual father or knew the name of great revivalists… then I am somebody.”

Yet when God called Apostle Paul, he wasn’t anyone a good Christian wanted to hang out with.

Silas’ grand celebrity status meant that he got whipped and jailed.

And when Apostle Paul truly boasted about his apostleship? He spoke of the numerous times he dodged death. He leaned on just one event - the one where Jesus called him by name.

We have come to a dangerous place in the apostolic when we idolize impartations and mantles. As if the anointing and mantle circumvent the need to walk in righteousness and good Christian values.

The Worldly Way

We have adopted the worldly practice of, “It’s not what you know, but who you know.” And by that statement, I’m not referring to the Christ you know. I’m referencing the anointed leaders you received from.

This worldly mindset erodes true honor. I honor the incredible men and women of God who walk in power. I respect those who paid the price for the call. However, I do not idolize their mantles. I do not consider the anointing they walk in to be a validation of their rightstanding with God either.

You can have a powerful mantle and dirty hands. So why then do we lust after anointings and mantles when the first one was enough?

Probably because we didn’t believe the impartation stuck.

Maybe we liked the thrill of the anointing coursing through us in the moment.

Is it perhaps the celebrity status we craved to share with that leader, rather than the cross they had to bear to walk their road?

Or… perhaps we believe it’s nothing short of a lucky rabbit’s foot to boost our given grace.

Balance is Required

Impartation is a powerful apostolic function. Yes, Timothy received an impartation from Apostle Paul. Elisha received Elijah’s mantle. Joshua finished the work Moses began. Solomon succeeded his father David.

Apostle Paul imparted gifts to those within his apostolic territory. God took what was on Moses and laid that anointing on 70 elders for the purpose of leadership.

And so as we navigate through Scripture, we find some patterns that offer us balance regarding impartation.

1. Multiple impartations are both rare and unnecessary

2. A received impartation requires action on our part. Moses’ elders had to serve in leadership after their impartation. Jesus’ Disciples had to GO!

3. Impartations are stream specific. Peter did not impart gifts to Paul’s spiritual sons, and vice versa

4. Impartations are task specific. If you haven’t been enabled to complete the task after that impartation - you were not aligned.

5. Impartations don’t cover a multitude of sins. We all walk out our own call in fear and trembling, regardless of who raised us.

6. Impartations don’t validate or invalidate your call. The Lord calls and the Holy Spirit manifests gifts as He wills.

7. If you aren’t called to that territory… the impartation will never stick. Impartations empower what God already gave you. Joshua was chosen by God. Elisha was chosen by God.

As apostles emerge throughout the Church, we must be sound in our doctrine and wise in how we raise the next generation. If we keep the church reliant on impartations, they will never go into all the world.

If we sell the lie that our spiritual sons and daughters cannot do the task because they “lack our impartation” we set ourselves up as demi-gods. Its outright heresy. If we breed the social construct that “the more impartations you received, the more anointed you are” the more we continue to languish in complacency. The result? We fail to complete the task set before us.

My personal conviction is thus: Take the singular impartation you’ve received. Stir it up! Use it. Establish the Kingdom. Do more than give the next generation an impartation. Leave them with an infrastructure that produces legacy.

When I was about 11 years old I had to take the bus to school. On one occasion, I took one of those double buses. I don’t know if you have them anymore, but it looks like two buses joined head-to-tail with a platform in the middle. For an 11-year-old do you even know how big that was? I felt like a tiny little speck in the corner.

We traveled into downtown Johannesburg, and the traffic is as crazy as you would expect a huge city to have. Car horns honking. Brazen pedestrians sprinting across the street. All the while, I’m clinging to the rail, praying, “Jesus, please let me just get home.” My prayers were interjected with, “I hope this driver knows what he is doing.”

We turned the, and the bus lurched. The center platform swung, and from my perspective, he barely made it past the curb and behind a frantic pedestrian. I am interceding in the back.

“Oh Lord, I hope we get home. This driver is crazy! We are all going to die!” I looked around, and all the other passengers paid me no attention. Some read a newspaper, others chatted. No one seemed to notice that we were on the very edge of life and death.

As an 11-year-old who had never driven a car before, it felt impossible that this guy could navigate this long bus in the middle of rush hour traffic. It felt illogical that he could miss the cars a hair's breadth on either side and still get me to my station.

By the time I tumbled out of that bus, my hands were shaking, and my stomach was somewhere in my throat. The ordeal wasn’t over for me though. Because tomorrow I will need to catch that bus again.

After a week or so, my panic attacks reduced. I even took my seat and familiarized myself with the landmarks along the way. Then I realized something profound – If I’m going to remain sane on these trips, I must learn to trust the driver.

Well, at first, I took the trip and just closed my eyes during the rough turns. However, after a while, it became familiar to me. I no longer noticed how many curbs we just missed, and how many pedestrians we breezed past.

Being processed to pastor means being given a ticket to ride that bus. And like that little 11-year-old you’re a child that doesn’t know where they are going. You don’t know how you are going to get there. It looks impossible to navigate through all that ministry traffic – everything is so complicated.

But you have forgotten one essential truth.

You are not the bus driver.

Everyone wants validation. I see it all the time when I post a flyer or conference poster. Someone in the comments will quip, “That’s my son! That’s my daughter!” and I see what they are really saying.

They are saying, “By others recognizing someone I raised, it validates me.”

Here’s what I’ve learned about validation in the last 28 years of ministry….

1. The accomplishments of others do not validate me

2. The failure of others does not remove my validation

3. The investment I made into spiritual children and disciples produces fruit that looks like a little bit of me and a whole lot like them

4. The validation I hold most valuable are the words spoken by my peers

Apostle Paul was not validated because Timothy made it in ministry. Apostle Paul and Peter were not discounted because people like Simon the sorceror or Diotrephes failed! I’m not judging you if you fell into this trap. I did too.

In fact I taught it.

Why did I teach it though? I taught it from a place of desperate insecurity. If my fruit (which were my disciples and spiritual children) succeeded, then it was proof of my own success.

Why This Is Messed Up

Because this mindset stems from fathers and mothers that failed in their personal and ministry lives.

“If you made it and I taught you… it covers the failures in my own life.” Ouch. Insecure leaders cling to the successes of those they helped as a bandaid to mask their own wounds.

I do not need the works of my spiritual children to validate me. Firstly, the Father is my ultimate validation. Then, the work of my own hands holds their own merit. The apostles that recognize my grace are a voice of validation.

I don’t give all of myself into my disciples and spiritual children to prove my apostleship. I do it, because as an apostle it’s a divine ambition I cannot shake. Legacy and Dynasty are so part of my DNA I cannot BUT invest into the next generation

Because Saul’s are always looking for mighty men to make them look good

We see the wrong in platform seeking. In those that dote over leaders to grab the tailcoat of their fame (and hopefully their fortune.) However, let’s not overlook where this all began. With you… the apostle. The leader.

You looked for the pretty, mighty and perfect to boost your own branding. You are like King Saul who wanted the best of the best. Then we have King David, who gathered the rest of the rabble… the mighty men whose hearts were stronger than their reputation.

Because it breeds disloyalty and platform seeking

How can we rebuke the platform seekers, when so many of us are looking for the bold and the beautiful? Aren’t we teaching them to do the very thing we preach against? No leader wants to be used to further someone else’s ministry. However, aren’t you doing just that with a spiritual son or daughter who would open doors for you?

The cycle has to end guys. That break begins with us.

How about we allow our disciples and spiritual children to speak well of us, of their own free will.

How about we rest in the finished work of our own assignments.

How about we appreciate the validation of our peers… because we are all in it together!

From one apostle to another…

Your support is valuable to me! We’ve all invested into people that didn’t value our pour. We’ve all succeeded and fallen throughout the apostolic process. We know the heat of the flame and the distinct smell of smoke. For ten people you heal, one will come back to thank you.

Let’s not look to our members, disciples and spiritual children to validate what we both know God put inside of us.

Rather lets be secure in who we are. And then, lets also support one another. Let’s collaborate. Let’s learn from one another and draw strength from one another. You know… like the Early Church Apostles did.

James, Peter, John, Paul, Timothy, Silas, Titus… They linked arms. They ploughed together and covered one another. If we can get that right, we stand in the place to raise a healthy generation that follows in our footsteps.

Depending on the translation, below is a compilation of how often each of the Fivefold Ministry is mentioned in the New Testament:

Apostle: 79-81

Prophet: 144-150

Evangelist: 3

Pastor/Shepherd: 18

Teacher: 58-63

I find it astounding that the two least mentioned are used most liberally in our present day church. On the other hand, the two most mentioned are most shrugged off. When did we get to the place where anyone with a calling was labeled a pastor or an evangelist?

This miraculous call has been watered down, abused and misused more than any of the fivefold. If you have an established ministry then you are a pastor and if you preach internationally, then you are automatically an evangelist.

As I put the finishing touches on my next release for Apostle’s Digest (Processed to Pastor) I have to reiterate that the call to pastor is as profound as the call to teach or prophesy. When the Holy Spirit calls a pastor to office, He takes a very regular child of God and transforms them into someone quite supernatural.

YOU’RE NOT A PASTOR BECAUSE:

1. You are a nurturer by nature and people share their hearts with you

2. You earned a degree in bible college

3. You run meetings and have a large following

4. You carry ministry credentials

None of these qualify you to function within this miraculous office. It’s time we bring back the weight of exactly what it means to be a pastor. “Calling means that you shift from where you are, into the Lord’s presence. Many of you have received a call from God, but you have not yet shifted. You are still standing in the same place, doing the same things, expecting a different outcome.”

Sign 1: Separation

You are called out from your people. You are called out from what is familiar. You are called out from normal. This separation is not rejection. It is preparation.

Sign 2: Dissatisfaction with the Same Place

Many of you have received a call from God, but you have not yet shifted. You are still standing in the same place, doing the same things, expecting a different outcome.

Sign 3: Draw into His Presence

The Lord calls you out from where you are so that He can draw you into His presence. This calling is not about ministry first. It is about relationship.

Reality Check:

If you do not understand this calling, you stand in danger of circling the mountain for 40 years.

Calling draws you into His presence, but commissioning sends you out with purpose. Many remain in the place of calling because they resist the preparation required for commissioning. Commissioning comes after training. It comes after separation. It comes after you have learned to depend on Him.

The Lord does not send you out until He has first formed you. Your process is shaping your authority. Without preparation, commissioning becomes overwhelming instead of empowering. God uses pressure, transition, and change to prepare you for the responsibility of being sent.

It is like David. He was anointed long before he sat on the throne. After the oil was poured over his head, he returned to the field. He faced lions and bears. He learned to depend on the Lord in secret. That was not his platform. That was his preparation. When he stepped before Goliath, he was not trying to become something new. He was functioning in what had already been formed in him.

Commissioning is not promotion. It is responsibility. You are sent with authority that was formed in the secret place. The one who is commissioned carries weight. This weight is not given suddenly. It is developed through process.

When you recognize your commissioning, you stop striving and begin moving with authority. But many miss this moment because they do not recognize what God has already completed in them. Commissioning shifts you from preparation into action. You are no longer being formed. You are being sent.

This is where authority begins to function. But until you recognize your commissioning, you will continue to prepare when God is ready to send you.

It is like Abraham when the Lord told him to leave his country, his family, and his father’s house. He had to step away from everything familiar before he could step into what God had prepared. The calling required separation before direction.

Where do I start?

“I’m called to be a trainer, but what exactly do I teach? Am I even qualified to do this?”

The answer is: yes, you are, when you train from a place of experience and authenticity. In this part of our Trainer’s Corner series, let’s dig into what it means to become a trainer and fully enter your God-given role.

1. What Should I Teach?

Here’s the first thing you need to know: you can’t teach what you haven’t lived. Training isn’t about repeating a cool message or sounding deep. It’s about pouring out from what God has already worked into you.

Your Map - Ask yourself:

• What have I overcome?

• What has the Lord drilled into me through fire and frustration?

• What flows naturally out of me when I minister?

That’s your gold. That’s what you teach.

You’re not called to be a jack-of-all-trades. You’re called to be faithful with the message and authority you’ve earned through obedience.

2. Finding Your Unique Style

Some of us are blunt and get straight to the point. Others are gentle, guiding with compassion and encouragement. Neither is better than the other, they’re just different expressions of God’s heart.

Don’t let preference override purpose. Ask the Lord, “What kind of trainer do You need me to be?” Your anointing will come alive when you stop imitating others and start flowing in your own grace.

Think about Elijah and Elisha, or Paul and Timothy. Each had a different tone and approach, but the power of God flowed through their authentic voice.

3. Knowing Your Value

This is huge: don’t cast your pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6). That’s not just about the gospel, it also applies to your training.

Don’t waste your time begging someone to be trained. If they’re not ready or willing to pay the price, move on. You’re not called to drag people, you’re called to raise champions.

You carry something precious. Treat it that way. Trust God to bring the right disciples to you. You don’t need to convince people. When the Lord highlights your trainee, you’ll know it. And when they say yes? Then you can give them everything you’ve got.

You’re not just becoming a trainer, you’re becoming a vessel God can use to shape His leaders. So take a breath, stand tall, and own your value. Because the next generation of fivefold ministers is waiting for someone just like you to rise up.

Called to Train: Your Role in Raising God’s Leaders

Call Your Disciples

Before Jesus trained His disciples, He called them.

Like Elijah throwing his mantle on Elisha, training starts when you choose someone. And it doesn’t end there, they have to accept the call. They must choose you back. Discipleship is a two-way street.

So, who are you called to train?

What’s the call on their life? Ask the Lord. Don’t overthink it, sometimes the person in need of your mentorship is right in front of you.

Progression of Your Call: Tell Them Their Destiny

When you take someone under your wing, it’s not just to give them random lessons. You’re guiding them toward purpose.

Remind them of this: They were placed on this earth for a reason.

There is a destiny they were born to fulfill, and your job is to help them take the next steps to achieving it. That’s where Mentorship 101 becomes your best friend. It lays out the journey from first call to commission, and you get to be the guide walking them through each stage.

Don’t Bring Confusion

One of the quickest ways to derail training?
Divided mentorship.

If your disciple is trying to follow two trainers in the same area at the same time, they will get confused. It’s like having two GPS apps giving different directions, it won’t end well.

Make it clear from the beginning:

“I’m going to mentor you in this specific area. That means, during this time, you shouldn’t be receiving mentorship or teaching from anyone else on this same topic. Let’s stay focused and finish this journey together.”

There’s peace in clarity. There’s growth in consistency.

Every Journey Has a Destination

Training isn’t forever. It has a purpose, a goal, and an endpoint.

You need to recognize when the journey is done. Don’t drag your disciple in circles around the same mountain. That’s how Israelites died in the wilderness. Let’s not repeat history.

When the Lord says, “The mission is complete,” celebrate the victory. Then, if the Lord leads, you can start a new mentorship in a different area.

Know when to start.
Know when to finish.
And always keep moving forward.

Enter The Wheelbarrow Phase.

When you’re in the throes of Apostolic training, it can feel like you’re a rock in a wheelbarrow. You’re just getting spun around and smacked against something new every five minutes. One minute you’re flowing like a Pattern Maker, and the next you’re laying down spiritual bricks like a Builder. What is that about?

The Chaos Is Training, Not Confusion

Here’s the truth: during Apostolic training, God may lead you to walk through all the mandates. Not because you’re called to all of them, but because you need to understand the language and function of each. You can’t lead what you haven’t lived.

Why You Touch All the Mandates

Each mandate develops a different part of your apostolic character:

• As a Spiritual Parent, you learn compassion and legacy.

• As a Pattern Maker, you learn how to access heaven for blueprints.

• As a Trailblazer, you step into warfare and expansion.

• As a Trainer, you master how to duplicate yourself.

• As a Builder, you gain structure and timing.

• As a Finisher, you learn to bring vision to completion through relationships and collaboration.

Even if you’re not called to all six, you’ll likely touch them, because the Body needs well-rounded leaders.

So... Am I Called to All 6? No. You’re called to one primary mandate. But your training will take you through all six so that by the time you walk into your true office, you can recognize every part of the apostolic team—and function with them, not against them.

Final Encouragement If you feel like a jack-of-all-trades right now, that’s okay. It’s not confusion, it’s crafting. God is shaping your identity by exposure. Stay in the wheelbarrow. Eventually, He’ll plant that rock where it belongs.

Apostolic Mandate #6: Timothy and Aaron

We’ve come to the final mandate: the Finisher.

If you’ve ever felt overlooked because you weren’t the one who got the vision first, or you’re more of a behind-the-scenes, “let’s just get it done” kind of person, this one’s for you.

While pattern-makers create the vision and builders bring to life the blueprint, it’s the finishers who ensure that the mandate is actually completed.

Meet the Finishers: Timothy and Aaron

Our New Testament example is Timothy, Paul’s faithful spiritual son. And in the Old Testament, it’s Aaron, Moses’ older brother and right-hand man.

“For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.” – 1 Corinthians 4:17

“They shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting... to do the work of the tabernacle.” – Numbers 3:8

Paul got the pattern. Moses got the pattern.
But it was Timothy who reminded the Church how Paul did things.
It was Aaron and his sons who took the pattern Moses started and continued it long after Moses was gone.

The Finisher’s DNA

Finishers aren’t flashy. They’re not usually the ones on stage casting the next big vision. But give them a vision someone else received, and they’ll make sure it’s implemented, perfectly and completely.

They’re the ones asking:

• “Is the lampstand lit?”

• “Is the altar maintained?”

• “Did we follow through on that prophetic word?”

A finisher notices what’s left undone and then does it. They’re pastoral, practical, and deeply invested in the long haul.

You won’t find them chasing the next new thing. You’ll find them making sure the current thing is excellent, complete, and passed on to the next generation.

The Price of the Finisher

You ready for it? The price is taking second place.

Aaron followed Moses.
Timothy followed Paul.
Neither were the first choice. Neither got the “download from heaven.” But both were remembered long after the pioneers were gone.

It was the sons of Aaron, not the sons of Moses, who were chosen to enter the Holy of Holies.

It was Timothy, not another apostle, who Paul trusted to carry his legacy.

Finishers don’t need a spotlight, they need a clear mandate. And once they’ve got it? They’re unshakable.

But it costs something.
You have to be okay not being the “original” voice. You have to be okay with completing someone else’s vision. You have to submit to the process, even when you could do it “better” in your own eyes.

But here’s the reward: God remembers the finisher.

He honors the one who takes someone else’s pattern and builds it into people. Into generations. Into culture.

A Place of Your Own

There’s something else finishers should know:

At first, you probably won’t feel like you belong.

Aaron had to leave Egypt. Timothy’s father was Greek, he didn’t grow up with Paul’s pedigree. Both of them were shifted before they were settled.

But once they found their place? They flourished. They stayed. They established. And they became irreplaceable.

You may be in that shifting phase right now. But don’t worry. God is positioning you exactly where the pattern needs to be finished.

From Vision to Legacy

Apostles don’t work in isolation. And you, Finisher, are the final touch on the masterpiece. Without you, the rest of us are just holding blueprints and half-built walls.

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” – 1 Corinthians 3:6

One lays the foundation. Another builds. Another finishes. But God gives the increase, when we work together.

That’s the finisher.
That’s your apostolic mandate.

Apostolic Mandate #5: The Call of James and Solomon

We’ve talked about pattern-makers, trailblazers, and spiritual parents… but now we get to one of the most rewarding apostolic mandates: the builder.

Builders get the satisfaction of seeing the job done. They don’t just talk about structure, they live it. Think of Solomon in the Old Testament and James, the brother of Jesus, in the New.

And let me just say, if you’re a builder, you’ll get James. I mean really get him.

James: The Apostle Who Stayed

You’ve got Peter out there blowing things up for Jesus, and Paul laying down the framework for the New Testament Church. They’re moving constantly, trailblazing, battling, breaking ground. But then you have James. The one who stayed home and made sure the work actually got done.

James pastored the Church in Jerusalem. It became the apostolic hub of the Early Church. Even Paul, with all his heavenly patterns and big revelation, came back to Jerusalem to make sure his race wasn’t run in vain.

“...when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me…” – Galatians 2:9

James was a pillar. A builder. A stay-at-home apostle. The guy who lived with the people every day, established the culture, and kept the fire burning at home.

Solomon: The Builder with Bling

Now jump back to Solomon. He didn’t fight wars like David. But what did he do? He built. He took David’s battle-won land and made it into a kingdom that couldn’t be uprooted.

David cleared the land. Solomon planted on it.

“He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son…” – 1 Chronicles 22:10

Solomon didn’t come up with the pattern for the temple. But oh boy, did he rock it. He added the gold, the carvings, the cedar walls, he bedazzled the blueprint!

That’s what builders do. They take the pattern and make it shine.

The Price of the Builder

But let’s talk about the price, because every apostolic type has one.

For the builder, the price is consistency.

You don’t get to run away when it gets hard. You don’t get the thrill of trailblazing or the glamour of being “sent to the nations.” Your feet are planted. Your sleeves are rolled up. You’re in the trenches with people, every. single. day.

You’re the one who picks up the pieces after the revival dies down. You’re the one turning a vision into systems, into culture, into discipleship. You work with resistance, day after day, week after week.

You build while others run. You finish what others start. You stay when no one else wants to.

Are You a James or a Solomon?

If you find that every time you try to “go,” God keeps grounding you and saying, “Build,”… you might just be a James. Or a Solomon.

You’re practical. Hands-on. You want to see the pattern lived out and not just talked about. You’re not content to leave a blueprint on a table, you’re picking up a hammer and saying, “Let’s make this happen.”

You’re probably the kind of person who looks at dysfunction in the church and thinks, “Guys, why are we acting like this?” That’s what James did! Read James 4 and you’ll see it.

“Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure...?” – James 4:1

You Don’t Have to Travel to Be Sent

We hear “apostle” and immediately think of missions, nations, and passports. But James was commissioned by Jesus Himself, and he didn’t leave Jerusalem.

He was sent… to stay. To build.

And thank God for the James in our midst! While others run out to war, we need someone to keep the home fire burning. A safe place for the Peters and Pauls to return to. A covering. A center. A place of belonging.

The Builder’s Mandate

If you’re called to be a builder, then own it. You may not be the one to receive the pattern, but you sure know how to make it work. You make it beautiful, lasting, and practical.

You don’t just “have vision.” You establish it.

So whether you’re putting up spiritual walls or laying down culture in a team, know this: your work matters. Builders may not get the glory of the first brick, but they get to see the house stand.

Apostolic Mandate #4: The Call of Jesus, Paul and David

We’ve talked pattern makers, spiritual parents, and trailblazers. But today, we step into a whole different battlefield.

The fourth apostolic mandate is for the Trainers. If that’s you, you don’t just teach, you equip. You get in the trenches. You raise leaders, not just followers. And let me be honest up front: this call comes with bruises.

Jesus. Paul. David.

Each of them carried this mandate.

Jesus walked intimately with His twelve disciples for three years, eating, traveling, correcting, and empowering. Paul? He stayed two years in one place just to train disciples daily (Acts 19:9-10). And David? He turned outlaws into mighty men.

If you’ve got the fire of a trainer, you’re not content with preaching a message. You say,

“Come. Let me show you how to do this. Let’s build together.”

You push, pull, correct, confront, and love your people into wholeness, even when they want to bolt. Especially when they want to bolt.

Trainers Don’t Blink

You’ve got that “trainer eye.” You walk into a room and immediately see what needs fixing, what’s off in a person’s character, their spiritual walk, or even how they carry themselves. You’re not judging. You’re invested. You see the gold under the dirt.

You’ll face tears, tantrums, and straight-up rebellion. You’ll pour years into someone who will one day say, “I’m done,” and walk away. And yet, you’ll keep going.

Because a true trainer doesn’t quit. You don’t train for applause. You train because God gave you the grace to.

The Price of the Trainer

You’ll pour hours, days, and years into a disciple, only to have them leave right when breakthrough is near. You’ll be labeled controlling, harsh, and insensitive because you dared to confront sin instead of condoning it. You’ll pray, fast, cry, and war for people who’ll turn and blame you when the pressure hits. You’ll be accused of control when all you’re trying to do is set someone free.

And yet… you’ll get up and do it again.

Because that’s what trainers do. You pay with your tears. With your emotional stamina. With your sleep. With your reputation. With your heart.

You’ll sit up late at night wondering if you failed them.
You’ll beg God for wisdom on how to get through.
You’ll cry when they graduate, not just for them, but because you know what it cost to get them there.

That’s the price. And you won’t survive it unless God Himself calls you to it.

The Courage to Confront

It takes guts to look someone in the eye and say,

“You’re full of bitterness. That word? It’s divination, not revelation.”

You’re not afraid to pull the mask off a demon when others would rather pretend it’s not there. But here’s the difference - you don’t just expose. You walk them through the deliverance. You clean up the mess, not just call it out.

That’s what sets trainers apart. Anyone can point fingers. But a trainer fights for transformation.

You’re Not a Pattern Maker. Stop Trying to Be.

Trainers don’t think in neat boxes. You break the mold. You’re hands-on. Your pattern is constant change.

Don’t frustrate yourself trying to become something you’re not. Own the fire God gave you. You’re not here to create perfect systems. You’re here to forge warriors.

Final Word: This Is War

Training is not glamorous. It’s not safe. It’s not for the faint of heart.

It’s for the ones who are willing to be misunderstood, rebuffed, and accused, but keep standing. It’s for those who cry behind closed doors, wondering if they’ve failed, but get back up and try again.

And when graduation day comes, when your student stands whole and equipped, you’ll know it was worth it.

That’s when the tears come.
That’s when the scars fade a little.
That’s when you see the fruit of your fight.

So, Are You Called to Be a Trainer?

If you are, embrace it. You’ve been drafted into the most rugged and rewarding mandate there is. You don’t need a title. You need tenacity.

And remember…

Trainers don’t choose this call. This call chooses them.
If there’s no fruit, it’s not training, it’s just tough talk.
But if your wake leaves leaders behind you, you’re not just training.
You’re building the Kingdom.

Apostolic Mandate #3: The Call of Peter and Joshua

Welcome to part 3 of our series on apostolic mandates! Today we’re talking about the Trailblazer, the most fiery and fearless of the bunch.

Meet the Trailblazers: Joshua and Peter

Trailblazers go first. They break new ground and take new territory. They don’t wait for permission, they move with a sword in hand.

Think of Joshua, leading Israel into battle. While Moses stayed on the mountain holding up his hands, Joshua was down in the trenches, taking the land. His boldness opened the way for others to enter.

Then there’s Peter, the first apostle to step into a Gentile’s home. He broke a huge barrier by preaching salvation outside of the Jewish world. He upset tradition, challenged the system, and made a way for Paul’s mandate to unfold.

What Is a Trailblazer?

Trailblazers carry a sharp edge. They’re bold, messy, and full of fire. One minute they’re speaking by the Spirit, next minute they’re getting rebuked (sound familiar, Peter?). They challenge mindsets, confront demons, and don’t shy away from backlash.

This is not the easy path. It’s full-on spiritual warfare, offense, rejection, and risk. But for those called? It’s fun. You were made for battle. You live to see something new take shape.

They Go First, But They Don’t Always Stay

Trailblazers often start the work, but they don’t always finish it. They dig the well, break the ground, and move on. Then the pattern makers and builders come in to complete what was started.

That’s how Joshua worked with Moses. That’s how Peter opened doors for Paul. And that’s how the apostolic team is supposed to function.

You don’t have to be every mandate. You can’t. But if you’re a trailblazer, go ahead and shake things up. Just don’t expect to settle down until someone else joins you with a plan.

The Price of the Trailblazer

Before you shout, “That’s me!” know this mandate costs.

• You’ll be misunderstood.
  People won’t get you. You challenge systems, break barriers, and get labeled “rebellious” for doing what God told you to do.

• You’ll offend without trying.
  Trailblazers shift atmospheres, and not everyone’s ready for that. But you’re not here to fit in. You’re here to make way.

• You’ll face real warfare.
  Hell pushes back when you’re taking ground. Don’t be surprised by the backlash, it’s proof you’re hitting the mark.

• You’ll move on before you’re ready.
  You start the fire, but someone else may tend it. That stings, but it’s part of the call.

• You’ll want to settle.
  But the moment you do, the fire in you dies.

Are You a Trailblazer?

• Do you thrive in chaos?

• Do you feel called to go first, even when no one else sees it yet?

• Do you offend people without trying?

• Do you have a sword in your hand and fire in your bones?

Trailblazers, we need you. The Church needs you. But we also need the rest of the team, so don’t go it alone.

Something very important to note about this call: Trailblazers don’t choose this call, it chooses them. Yes, they disrupt the system. But when they’re gone, fruit remains in their wake. If there isn’t fruit, it’s not trailblazing, it’s just spiritual vandalism.

Apostolic Mandate 2: The Call of Paul and Moses

Welcome to part two of our series on the six apostolic mandates. In our first blog, we explored the call to be a spiritual parent. But not all apostles are called to be parents. Some are called to design, to map out the future, and to lay a Godly blueprint. These are the pattern makers.

The Blueprint Designers of the Bible: Paul and Moses

Our two standout examples of this mandate are Paul in the New Testament and Moses in the Old Testament. Both men didn’t just minister, they created Godly frameworks. They designed patterns given directly by God.

Exodus 25:9 says,
“According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.”

God gave Moses a heavenly design, down to the tiniest detail. He wasn’t allowed to alter a single design or add an extra ring. Why? Because pattern makers are trusted with heaven’s architecture. They are precise. Exact. Unyielding when it comes to spiritual specs.

They might seem picky or overly analytical to others. They often come off as intense, meticulous, and even “too much.” But that’s how God wired them, because He needs someone who will execute the vision exactly as He gave it.

If you feel a burden to design new structures, create fresh ministry models, or reimagine how the Church should function, this may be your mandate.

The Process Is Painful (But Worth It)

Let’s not sugarcoat it: becoming a pattern maker takes serious training.

You don’t get to skip steps as a pattern maker. You must wait on the mountain. You must seek Him for every line, every measurement, every instruction. This role doesn’t belong to the impulsive or the impatient. It belongs to those who will labor in the secret place until the divine download is complete.

If you are not naturally this person, then God will take time to craft you into this vessel. It’s a slow and painful process. Your character will be challenged, but it’s necessary for this mandate.

Pattern Makers Are Not Always the Builders

Here’s something we don’t often talk about: You might not be the one who builds what you designed.

Look at King David. He received the pattern for the temple, and his heart burned to build it. But God said no. The building of the temple would be reserved for his son, Solomon.

In the same way, God may give you the pattern, but ask someone else to execute it. Why? Because your mandate isn’t about one project, it’s about many. God needs you to keep seeking Him for the next design, and the next, and the next.

Even Moses, the ultimate pattern maker, didn’t physically build the tabernacle himself. God told him exactly who to appoint for the task. His job was to get the blueprint, and then empower others to bring it to life (Exodus 31).

So if you’re a pattern maker, don’t get discouraged when God asks you to hand off your vision. You were never meant to do it all. You were meant to birth it in the Spirit and trust others to finish it in the natural.

We Can’t Do It Alone

One of the most powerful truths about the apostolic is that we need each other. Pattern makers can’t thrive without builders. Spiritual parents can’t nurture sons without structures in place to support them. No one apostle carries the full picture.

Even Paul didn’t work alone. He partnered with Silas, Timothy, Titus, and others to fulfill his mandate. They functioned together, unique, but united. This is how the Church should operate.

The Lord is raising up apostles with humility, apostles who recognize one another’s strengths, and who are ready to submit their patterns for the greater whole.

Pattern Makers Birth the New

Ultimately, a pattern maker is a pioneer. They don’t just copy what’s been done, they create what’s never been seen. They build the systems, blueprints, and spiritual foundations that others will live out.

But not every apostle is an originator. And that’s okay.

The Church needs this diversity. We need the builders, the parents, the warriors, the reformers, and yes, the designers.

So if you find yourself burning with ideas, longing to build something new, frustrated by flawed systems, and wired for detail, then God may be calling you to this second mandate.

Ask Him to confirm it. Ask Him for the pattern.

And when He gives it, guard it, write it down, and wait for His instruction.

Because what He gives you might just shape the Church of tomorrow.

Apostolic Mandate 1: The Call of Abraham and Sarah

There’s a fresh wind blowing in the Church. It’s the cry of sons and daughters (broken, orphaned, and hungry) for the love and guidance of true spiritual parents. In response, God is reviving one of the most foundational apostolic mandates of all time: Spiritual Parenting

If you’ve found yourself asking, “Am I called to be a spiritual parent?” you might be stepping into a role that goes back to the times of Paul, Peter, and even further to Abraham and Sarah. But let’s break down what that means, and more importantly, whether that’s your calling.

What Is a Spiritual Parent?

Spiritual parenting isn’t a trend. It’s a mandate. In today’s Church, we have a generation of orphans. Believers who’ve been hurt, abandoned, or never fathered in their call. Many enter the body of Christ with baggage and no place to unpack it.

Enter the spiritual father or mother.

A spiritual parent doesn’t just teach. They raise, equip, and send. They nurture growth, walk through wounds, and mentor to maturity. It’s a high calling and one not every apostle is called to.

Not Every Apostle Is a Spiritual Father

Let’s set the record straight: Not every apostle is called to be an Abraham

We often get this wrong. When someone arises in apostolic authority, we expect them to parent us. And if they don’t, if they aren’t nurturing, available, or relational, we feel disappointed, confused, even hurt. But here’s the truth: you may be putting expectations on someone that were never part of their mandate.

Paul was a spiritual father. So was Peter. Paul especially raised sons like Timothy, Silas, and Titus (1 Tim. 1:2, Titus 1:4). He didn’t just teach and move on, he left behind a lineage. A legacy. Others, like James, remained pillars but didn’t walk in this same mandate.

So ask yourself this: Am I trying to mother or father someone who was never meant to parent? Or am I the one feeling the pull to become a spiritual parent myself?

The Price of Becoming an Abraham

Just like all the apostolic mandates, the mandate of spiritual parenting comes with a price. A very high one.

When God called Abraham, He said:

“Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.” (Gen. 12:1)

Becoming a spiritual parent means pioneering a new spiritual DNA. You leave behind all that’s familiar, your old ways of thinking, leading, and relating. Your patterns, your culture, your comfort zones.

You don’t get to stay home. You don’t get to cling to your “father’s house”, spiritually, emotionally, or relationally. You become the new model, the one who sets the tone for the next generation.

This is what makes the parenting mandate so intense. It’s not just about raising up others. It’s about being reborn yourself so that what flows through you to them is pure, from God, and transformative.

What If I’m Not Called to This?

That’s okay. Not every apostle is.

Maybe your calling is to establish doctrine. Maybe it’s to bring order or to launch a movement. Perhaps your mandate is more administrative or prophetic. Not every leader has to be a father or mother.

But if you’re called to be an Abraham or Sarah, then get ready. You’ll be broken. Rebuilt. Changed. You’ll have to love when it’s hard, nurture when it’s inconvenient, and invest when there’s no guarantee of return.

And yet the reward is unmatched. To raise up sons and daughters who outgrow you, outshine you, and carry your DNA long after you’re gone... there’s nothing like it.

Are You One of Them?

• Do you find yourself naturally drawn to nurture, equip, and release others?

• Are you willing to be reshaped by God to raise a generation?

• Can you love beyond your own pain?

• Do you feel like you’re leaving behind everything to walk into something new?

Then God may be calling you to be a spiritual parent.
