How to send a commission request:

Go to my carrd: arieko.carrd.co (the link is always available and can be found in my twitter bio) and follow these 3 steps:

Step 1:

Before ordering a commission you must read and agree with my terms of services (TOS) by clicking the “terms of service” button. If you don’t agree with any of my terms of service do not send a commission request.

If there’s some information about my TOS you don’t fully understand or need more information please ask via my Q&A email: askariekochan@gmail.com

Step 2:

After you read my TOS, click on the “personal use” or “commercial use” button depending on what kind of service you’re aiming for, there you can see the prices and examples of my illustrations. My prices are not negotiable and I don’t offer any kind of discount, only ask for a commission if you’re ok with the prices stated there

If you’re having a hard time calculating the price of your request or if there’s anything you need to ask regarding the price of certain elements, please ask via my Q&A email: askariekochan@gmail.com

Step 3:

Now you’re ready to send a commission request, please click the “order a commission” button to start a new email draft. Please be aware that this button is only functional when my commissions are open, so anytime you want to send a new commission request do it only using this button.

How to write a commission request:

Here’s a step by step guide and rules, please have in mind that I won’t take commission requests if there’s missing information or if you’re lacking references, I won’t add you to my waitlist if your commission request is not valid

Your request must include:

• The type of commission you want (personal or commercial)

• The style of the illustration (colored sketch or full illustration)

• The amount of characters (up to 4 characters only)

• The size of the character/s (headshot, halfbody, thighs up or fullbody)

• If there’s additional elements (background or creatures/mons)

• The type of background you want (simple, detailed or landscape)

• The amount of creatures/mons you want (up to 6 mons only)

• If the commission if nsfw (nudity or advanced)

• Images references (character/s, pose/s, clothing, background, important details)

You can send a drawn doodle if needed as an extra reference if you want a very specific composition, it’s ok if it’s just stickmans, here’s an example:

Commission process:

Once your request is accepted, you will be added in my waitlist, is a first come first serve order so I may not immediately start working on your request.

Requests will be taken in batches of 5 per round and I will work on those 5 commissions simultaneously. Full payment will be asked before starting with the initial rough sketch, if you’re not able to send the payment your request will be switched and moved to the next round of commissions

⚠️I only accept full payment, please make sure you got it at hand before sending a request, I won’t take split payments or start the commission without being paid

Once the payment is sent I will start working on a rough sketch (colored thumbnail style) and then send an update, once the rough sketch is approved the commission will move to other different stages with limited revisions per phase:

• detailed sketch (5 revisions)

• Lineart (1 revision)

• Background base colors (1 revision)

• Final background (1 revision)

• Character base colors (1 revision)

• Shading and render (1 revision)

I will send an update for each phase so you can provide feedback and check if the commission is comming out as you envisioned it. Please ask for specific revisions only during their current stage, for example: only ask for character colors fix during the character base colors phase, or only ask for a lineart fix or adjustment during the lineart phase. I won’t change or fix elements that should be asked in previous phases.

If you need to do more than 1 revision in a certain phase it will cost you an extra

New waitlist rules:

• THE TOPIC OF YOUR COMMISSION OR CHARACTERS INVOLVED IS NOT A REASON TO BE BLACKLISTED, I'm ok drawing any ship or characters, I'm not tied to a single fandom, and I'm also really willing to draw OCs, If by any chance I don't feel ok drawing something I would communicate it but I won't blacklist you for it

Reasons to be blacklisted:

• Money scam

• Asking for a personal commission and using it for commercial purposes

• Not reading my TOS to then disagree with it mid commission process or after the commission is complete

• Mistreatment or abusive behavior

• Use my art to feed AI

• Modify my art without my consent

• Modify my art using AI

• Removing my watermark/signature

• Claiming my artwork as yours/ not crediting me

• Using my commission email for casual texting

I'm in all rights to reject your commission request if I don't feel comfortable, but that's not a reason to be blacklisted. If you ask for a different request and I feel ok with it I will accept it and add it on my waitlist

Commission batch details:

• I will work on 5 illustration requests at the same time

• All updates will be given simultaneously

• I'll only start with the sketch phase once the full payment is done

• At least one update per phase will be provided so you can check all the process and give some feedback

• You can ask up to 5 revisions/changes only during sketch phase

• You can only ask for 1 revision per phase after you approve the final sketch

• The following phases after approving the final sketch are: lineart, background base colors, finished background, characters base colors and shading/rendering

• Once I finish with the full batch I will take a pause before staring with another batch of 5 commissions

• The length of the pause in between batches may vary but I will take at least 1 week to rest

Some important context:

My internet availability and speed is very poor, it may make the communication flow a bit unstable and slow, sometimes I will be limited to reply or send updates only once a day.

You're free to ask for updates when you need it, but I might not be able to reply at the moment or receive your email right when you send it, I'll still be replying to your emails as soon as I'm able 🙏

New waitlist guidelines:

• I will contact all the valid past requests asking if they’re still interested, replying to the email containing all their commission information. No new emails/ requests have to be written

• Commissioners will be given a 24h time span to reply back (until monday 9)

Note: if the payment is not done correctly, I will cancel your commission, delivering only the commission at it’s current state (sketch) and half of the commission’s payment.

Note: once the payment is done and move forward to later refinement phases (lineart, background, color, render) there’s only one revision per phase for free. If, after a revision update, you ask for a 2nd revision, it will cost an extra of 10$

Price changes:

There’s a new body cut (character size) price list. It will now be divided into: headshot, half body, thighs up and full body. Example below

Half body used to be a very ambiguous body cut amongst commissions, so now is divided. Half body will now be from above the belly button (waist), no hips included; while thighs up will be from above the thighs, no knees included.

Having this new body cuts cleared out, here’s the new price tag for each commission type:

-extra variants price have changed, now it costs 20$ per variant, this only applies to minor changes like clothing, expressions and small elements that doesn’t affect the pose or composition of the whole piece

-Backgrounds have now a new type: “landscape background”, this new variant is for illustrations where composition is aimed towards the background as the main character. Examples and prices below

How to differentiate detailed background from landscape background?

If the character and background ratio is 50:50 or below (the character fills more space of the canvas than the background) then is considered detailed background

If the character and background ratio is 40:60 or above (the character fill less space of the canvas than the background) then is considered landscape background

You can always ask first if you’re not completely sure about how it works, I’ll be glad to help you get the better approach depending on the idea you have for your commission

About commissions waitlist:

To avoid future burnout, I will take only 5 slots per round, this will work as a first come first serve line, but frequent commissioners will have more chances of getting a spot on it. So each waitlist will be divided on 3 VIP spots and 2 regular spots, and only ONE commission request per person

There’s still no date for my commission’s opening, so I recommend subscribing to my newsletter for future announcements. Commission’s announcements will be exclusive to newsletter subscribers for 24 hours, if after 24 hours the waitlist spots aren’t completely full, I will then announce it publicly via Twitter

During the first 24 hours my waitlist slots will be unlimited!

If, by the end of the day, the commission submissions surpass the 10 slots limit, then my commission’s waitlist will be closed. This means I will work in more than 10 commission slots for those who asked for a spot in the first 24 hours.

If there’s less than 10 slots taken by the end of the day, my commission’s waitlist will remain open until the 10 slots are full. Once the 10th commission slot is taken I will close commissions and I will work only with those 10 slots.

Submissions rules:

• Do not send your submission if my commissions are closed (even if you saved your draft for later)
