Hi Astro Tribe!

On Tuesday 14th July the Moon will meet the Sun in the sky to form a New Moon in the sign of Cancer at 22 degrees. This is not anything unusual as New Moons form once a month. In the chart this looks like the Moon and Sun are sitting side by side, in the sky this means that the Moon is sitting between the Sun and the earth and the Sun blocks the light of the Moon, giving the surface of the Moon a dark appearance.

New Moons signify the beginning of a new lunar cycle for the month ahead. In traditional astrology we can use this as an opportunity to set intentions of the seeds we would like to sow for the month ahead. The blending of energies from the Moon and Sun at this time does not signify a time for action, this is a low energy period and can be used as a period of reflection and release on what hasn’t worked well for you during the last lunar cycle and needs to be let go of in order to make way for the new.

Unlike a Full Moon, where the Moon and Sun oppose each other in the sky and can bring tensions with it, a New Moon is a blending of their energies to bring a more cohesive period.

The Sign and Degree of Cancer

To understand this particular New Moon we can first look to the sign in which it falls. New Moons always fall in the sign of the zodiac month; for example this New Moon is in the sign of Cancer, as we are currently in Cancer season and the next New Moon will fall in the sign of Leo, as we transition into Leo season.

Cancer is the 4th sign of the zodiac as it associated with emotions, family, the home and care giving and taking. We can also think of both the family and home as our roots and foundations, giving Cancer significance around our emotional past, memories and nostalgia.

The Moon is the ruling planet of Cancer, so this New Moon not only marks the beginning of a new cycle for Cancerians, it’s a very personal new start - almost like a mini new year. Cancer is a cardinal sign and cardinal signs initiate action, with Cancer’s emotional presence, this is an initiation of emotion and inner sensitivity. When I picture the water sign Cancer, I picture intuition, flowing emotions and permeable boundaries. Just like the crab, which symbolises the sign of Cancer, it wears its hard protective shell on its back (which it calls home). With its extensive amount of empathy Cancer will let you in, but can also put up a fierce fight if you are a threat.

I have recently been exploring the decans more and this New Moon will sit at 22 degrees - the final decan within the sign. At 22 degrees this Moon is more mature, it’s had time to develop through the sign, but also carries some finalising energy to wrap things up, which combines well with Mercury retrograding through the same sign at the same time.

Mercury Retrograde

Wherever the Sun sits, Mercury is always close by, as they move around the sky in close proximity. Mercury is currently retrograding not too far away from the New Moon.

When a planet retrogrades it appears to move backwards in the sky (it isn’t actually doing that) therefore retrogrades bring us periods of inner reflection, revisiting, refining or sometimes reassessing. Again, this is not a time for action, it’s just slowing things down for you to do the inner work and think on things. So with Mercury Retrograding alongside the New Moon in the same sign, this brings opportunities to reflect on your emotional barometer. It could bring up emotional memories from the past or unresolved family or home issues which may need wrapping up.

How to Work with this Energy

• have the honest and open conversations, but prepare well beforehand to avoid any miscommunications to say how you feel.

• it’s a lovely time to make plans to reconnect with someone from your past or that you haven’t seen in awhile.

• if the emotions feel overwhelming write them down. Taking time to journal and allowing the inner work to do its thing can prevent emotions from becoming stagnant.

• shift the energy within your home by decluttering or trying a new layout. If there’s a project you started that needs finishing now is a good time to do it rather than starting something new.

• set your intentions for the weeks, months or years ahead by writing down in the present tense what you’d like to grow. Taking into consideration the emotional nature of the sign theming them accordingly can give them an extra boost.

• take care of you. Cancer is the natural care-giver of the zodiac but can often forget to care for itself. Be in or around water, cook a lovely meal and share it with the people you love or just give someone a hug!

• boundaries. Notice where your own emotional boundaries may have been too soft or too hard of late and consider where the emotional water needs to flow.

• cry if you need too. As a water sign emotions need to be released otherwise they become stagnant and fester.

The New Moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle and the wrapping up of the previous one. At New Moons intentions can be set where you sow the seeds of what you want to grow during the next lunar cycle (and beyond). This New Moon also has Mercury’s Retrograde energy blended in, which may bring up thoughts, reflections or communications around past emotional situations.

The New Moon is a good time to set your intentions for the future. However, it’s not a time of action, more a time to reflect on what you need to let go of in order to grow something new. This week is a quieter week, as we leave the Mars-Uranus conjunction behind, Jupiter moving into Leo has just begun, and we are also in the midst of Mercury Retrograde until it stations direct on 24th July. This is the space in which we sit, reflect and take in the calm. Things may not be clear yet, and they don’t need to be.

The Moon is building to a New Moon phase which lands next week. It’s a time to digest the work you have done. It doesn’t mean things have stopped or paused. Things are still moving underneath, the universe is just presenting you with an opportunity to gather yourself and your thoughts.

Mercury Retrograde

A Mercury Retrograde period is a lovely time to slow down, and I think you may need it after all the astrological action you have been through in the last few months. Mercury represents our voice and thoughts, and short distance travel. It’s the ruler of Gemini and Virgo and so impacts these signs the most. For Gemini it may feel as though you can’t grasp your words, or you could find yourself over-thinking or stuck in a loop. For Virgo it may feel like your organised schedules and routines go awry, and your innate sense of detail may feel out of grasp. For other signs you may notice miscommunications or a slower pace to what you have been used to.

Retrogrades allow us time to reflect and Mercury Retrograde allows for revisiting unfinished things, refining the details and rethinking our plans or projects. Think “re” with Mercury Retrograde, it allows you the time to go back over things, wherever it is needed. It’s also a great time to re-connect with people you haven’t been in contact with for a while. You may notice that people you haven’t been in touch with for some time suddenly appear in your inbox.

A little known fact about Mercury Retrogrades is that they work in cycles. This year’s retrogrades have been in water signs. The last one being in Feb-March 2026 in Pisces, and the following one in November 2026 will be in Scorpio. This month’s retrograde is currently in the sign of Cancer. With the water theme comes, reflections on emotional memory, roots, family and home. You may find yourself reminiscing on a past love, a past home or perhaps relatives who have passed over.

The pattern for 2026 makes it a year of emotional dissolve (Pisces - Feb-March 2026), personal emotion (Cancer - July 2026) and emotional depth and transformation (Scorpio - November 2026). This is not the usual chaos of a Mercury Retrograde where plans unravel or there are delays and disruptions with travel, it’s an emotional journal of how you have been feeling. The pool of water holds up a reflection of your emotions for the year.

Where Mercury Retrograde falls for your sign

• Aries - 4th house - redecorating your home, reconnecting with family or thinking about it, your roots and foundations, past emotional memories surfacing

• Taurus - 3rd house - miscommunications, rethinking things, refining details, revisiting projects, reconnecting (especially with siblings), over-thinking

• Gemini - 2nd house - rethinking or refining the details of how you make your money, reconnecting or revisiting with your self worth and values

• Cancer - 1st house - the self, your identity, how you are seen by others, confidence

• Leo - 12th house - reflecting on things in private, insights into your subconscious patterns or emotional baggage

• Virgo - 11th house - reconnecting with friends, networks or groups, reassessing emotional boundaries within friendships, reviewing your goals

• Libra - 10th house - revisiting past work projects or unfinished work, reviewing your career path, reconsidering whether your workplace emotionally supports you

• Scorpio - 9th house - re-thinking your beliefs, revisiting some study or learning, refining writing work, re-thinking travel plans

• Sagittarius - 8th house - reviewing shared finances and resources, reflecting on unresolved emotional issues with trust and intimacy,

• Capricorn - 7th house - past loves reaching out to you, reconnecting with those closest to you, reflecting on how you communicate within your closest relationships

• Aquarius - 6th house - re-organising or reviewing your day to day routines and schedules, revisiting health and wellbeing routines or practices

• Pisces - 5th house - reflecting on romance - past loves may resurface, revisit creative projects, miscommunications with children

How to work with the retrograde period

• revisit an old emotional conversation gently. If there’s something you have been wanting or needing to say, say it with sensitivity and care.

• reconnect with others. If you feel drawn to reaching out to someone from the past, take your time, there’s no rush for resolution

• Spend time in or around water. Take a bath, walk along the riverside or take a boating trip on a lake. Your surroundings can help you to process your emotions.

• journal. If there are difficult or uncomfortable memories that arise, write them down rather than pushing them away.

• emotional processing can be a lot so rest as and when you can. Have a nap or a nice lie in. Pay attention to your dreams too, there may be messages hidden there for you.

• cry if you need to. Just like water, if it’s not flowing, it can become stagnant. Having a good cry can support you in releasing those pent up emotions.

In the very early hours of Tuesday 30th June there is a Full Moon in Capricorn at 8 degrees. A Full Moon on a chart is when the Moon is directly opposite the Sun (both planets are known as the luminaries). This is called an opposition. Oppositions are known to bring some tension with them as the energies of the luminaries are pushing and pulling against each other.

As you may already know Full Moons are a high energy period. There are reports of increased intakes in hospital A&Es, more babies being born and many of us struggling to get some sleep! There’s tension in the air, just as the opposition suggests.

In terms of lunar cycles the Full Moon signifies the end of a lunar cycle, it invites us to reflect on what has been in order to release or let go of whatever it is that we need to in order to make room for something else in the next lunar cycle. The opposition I mentioned above means that as the Moon directly faces the Sun, the Sun’s rays shine brightly onto the surface of the Moon. The Moon is illuminated, which signifies that things which were once hidden may come to light at this point. It also illuminates whatever it was that you sprinkled the seeds of intent for at the last New Moon to show what has grown. It can be a time of celebration, to call in gratitude for what you have achieved or created during this cycle.

The Signs of Capricorn and Cancer

To understand this particular Full Moon means that we must first understand the sign in which it sits. Capricorn is the 10th sign in the zodiac, so it is mature - in comparison with the sign of Aries which is fast paced, impulsive and the baby of the zodiac. Capricorn is slower, it has learnt to build, structure and to work hard when doing that. Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn. Saturn is known as the task master, the teacher and time. Capricorn won’t rush, it will take its time and does its homework to create something lasting.

Every sign of the zodiac has an opposite, and for Capricorn its opposite is Cancer. Cancer is the care-giver and nurturer of the zodiac. Its ruling planet is the Moon which gives it very changeable moods and sensitivities as it represents our emotions. As the Moon is the fastest moving planet, changing signs every 2.5 days, Cancerians are known for the fluctuating emotional reactions and responses (and also why Full Moons often trigger such emotional responses from us!).

The Tension

Putting both signs together, the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn, we have feelings (Cancer) whilst building something (Capricorn). Full Moons may present as a tug of war but oppositions don’t always mean conflict. Sometimes they are just about what is being illuminated for you, something you may already be living. Take the feelings: the grief of a child about to leave home to go start life at university whilst sitting down to calculate the family budget for the week or feeling overwhelmed about a repair to your home whilst continuing an existing search for something new to relocate to. This Full Moon isn’t asking you to choose, it’s showing (illuminating!) you what you have been holding all along.

Saturn’s T Square Flavour

In the mix with this Full Moon is a square to Saturn. Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn!) is currently sitting at 14 degrees in the sign of Aries and is making a 90 degree right angle to both the Sun and the Moon, it’s basically sandwiched between both planets. This is also known as a T square. T Squares bring challenges, so with Saturn here it is testing the foundations of whatever it is you have been building, can they hold the weight? It may not be asking you to down tools, more like to illuminate the reality for you, is it ready and will it last? We must remember that Saturn is the teacher and although its lessons can feel harsh, it is making sure you have looked at all options, done the homework and that you are building something for the long term. It is worth noting that Saturn is at a 6 degree orb of the Full Moon, which is considered wide by some astrologers. Although my intuition tells me that you may still feel its presence. This type of energy will not suddenly erupt on the 30th June. It’s more like one that builds a few days beforehand, peaks and then disperses throughout the rest of the week.

How to Work with this Energy

Some practical ways to work with this energy may be to take some time, to first of all reflect on what is coming up for you. If you like to journal, write down your insights, thoughts and feelings - definitely your feelings, as we are talking about the Moon here! Remember this is a time to release and let go in order to make space, this could help the mental decluttering process. A prompt to help you may be: what am I building right now that I haven’t checked the foundations of? or what am I feeling that I haven’t yet made space for?

If there’s something tangible coming up for you assess whether any tweaks or adjustments are needed to your plan, ideas or projects. For example if the Moon falls in your 2nd house perhaps making adjustments to your weekly budget might support you more in buying that new item you want. This of course depends on where the Full Moon falls in your chart, and for that you can check my Weekly Astrology Horoscopes for Your Sign post.

If emotions do arise for you, again remember this is not a time of forcing action, this is a time to sit in the stillness and feel them. Checking in with your emotional self is a great way of nurturing and caring (Cancer) for your emotional well being at this time.

So whatever comes up for you over the next few days know that it’s not a problem to solve, it may be an emotion to check in with or a foundation to circle back to. It’s just highlighting what’s been there all along for you. Hi Astro Tribe!

Welcome to all of my new subscribers, it’s lovely to have you here! If you are new here, my Substack post today will take you through the astrological transits of the week ahead, and you can read about what this week’s Full Moon has in store for your sign. It’s a big ol’ week of astrology this week. First up, we have Mercury turning retrograde on Monday 29th June around 7pm. We have already been living through the shadow period of this for the last 2 weeks. During the shadow period I usually notice a particular theme coming through for me, so think back to what came up for you, as you will more than likely experience more of it over the next 3-4 weeks.

Retrogrades are slow down, reflect, refine, reorganise and reconnect periods (basically anything with a “re” prefix!). It’s more of an inward time rather than outwardly active time. It’s great for reflecting on things, circling back to any unfinished business that you’d like to complete, refining the details of things and for getting back in touch with people too. As this retrograde is happening in the sign of Cancer there could be more of an emotionally, sensitive pull to this one. Retrograde periods make great circuit breakers after a lot of astrological activity (which we have certainly seen over the past few months!). So don’t forget to slow down, and take the time to look back what needs adjusting.

On the day we also have the Full Moon at 8 degrees of Capricorn. A Full Moon occurs when the Sun is directly opposite the Moon lighting up its surface with its rays. Therefore we say that a Full Moon brings this into the light, things which may not have been conscious for us or which may have been hidden from us for whatever reason. A Full Moon also signifies the end of a lunar cycle, it’s a wrapping up phase where we release and let go of what we no longer need to carry with us into the next cycle.

This Full Moon is in a T square with Saturn adding a stress test to things. The things which come up for you will be the things which may have been sitting in your subconscious or peripheral view. Now they will demand your full attention.

On Tuesday 30th June Jupiter will move into the sign of Leo. Bringing a big sigh of relief for our lions of the zodiac. It will remain in this sign for the next 12 months. Jupiter expands everything it touches, bringing with it abundance, luck and wisdom. As a Cancer rising I have just experienced it through my 1st house for the past year and if you have been following my Substack posts you may remember me writing about the luckiest year I have had with my health (1st house = the physical body), but also the learning (wisdom) I have done alongside this, of taking more care of my well being and prioritising rest. However, Jupiter won’t just expand the positive it can also expand whatever shadow sides are sitting in your chart. For me this seemed to manifest with my body image and weight - over indulgence is a very Jupiterian trait!

As it leaves the caring, nurturing and protective sign of Cancer we all now enter into the brave, proud and courageous sign of Leo. The area of your chart that this lands in you may find yourself developing in areas of leadership, confidence or creativity. Just be mindful of the drama Leo brings with it!

To finish the week up Mars will be conjunct Uranus in Gemini at 3 degrees on Friday 3rd July. This may bring unexpected news, changes of plan or unexpected conversations. Things could suddenly flair up, so watch for small agitations turning into larger disagreements. It’s also wise to be careful as this blend of energy can sometimes reflect accidents or sudden cuts as we may be more prone to rushing or being impulsive. Definitely not a day to take risks.

This week we move into the lovely caring and nurturing season of Cancer as the Sun moves into its sign on Sunday 21st June. Those of you who read my posts regularly will know that this holds special place in my heart as Cancer is my Sun sign. Get ready to feel all the feels, cosy down at home with those close to you and nostalgia.

With Mercury currently in the sign of Cancer and heading towards its retrograde, this means we are currently in the shadow retrograde period. You may notice themes around emotional conversations and emotional self awareness, this energy then begins to transfer inwards, as we are encourage to slow down and reflect. But more on the retrograde next week.

For now, the major shift of the week is Chiron moving into Taurus and into the next house in your chart on Saturday 20th June. This is a big shift with Chiron being a slower moving outer planet it only happens around every 7 to 8 years. The next 3 months will bring you a preview of what’s to come in the next 7 years, as first it will spend 3 months in Taurus, and then in September retrograde backwards into Aries, then resume forward motion again until April 2027 in Aries, where finally it will resume its journey in Taurus. I kind of like it when planets do these little previews and then hit a retrograde, as it gives us the time to reflect on what came up, it’s like it’s trying to prepare us for the road ahead.

Chiron is known as the wounded healer, it brings up the old emotional baggage that we may have been carrying since childhood, or the subconscious emotional patterns that we haven’t yet dealt with. Don’t expect big overnight changes or insights, this is a 7 year exploration of that area of your chart, which I have written about for the area of your chart below. The last 7 years have been about learning who you are within your closest relationships. Over the past 7 years as Chiron navigated its way through your 6th house of work, routines and health you have been learning that your worth is not just measured by what you do for others. Now Chiron will move through your 7th house of close relationships bringing the potential to build relationships built on mutual respect and stability and to learn that being vulnerable can feel safe.

Old wounds over where you control in relationships or around why you stick with relationships because they feel secure rather than entering into new ones could arise. Learning to trust others and allowing yourself to be supported is where the deeper intimacy healing work is to be done.

The week begins with a fresh lunar cycle as the New Moon in Gemini at 24 degrees ushers in a communicative and thoughtful energy on Monday 15th June. A New Moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle, but it asks us to first reflect on what has been through the last lunar cycle in order to release and make room for the new.

It’s worth noting that astrology gives us the exact days in which the planets meet, yet we often, naturally, tune in to their energy a few days before and it can linger for a few days after too. So it’s possible you may feel this leading up to the New Moon and for the first half of the week.

If you have any natal planets between 19 - 29 degrees of Gemini they may be activated by this Moon. Check your chart for the position of the planets in the houses they occupy.

After last weeks Venus-Jupiter conjunction which was square to Chiron, whatever came to the surface for you is now yours to work with in the next cycle. It was a strange old week for me under this conjunction. During the planets exact meeting I felt an expanse of time, almost as if the universe had given me the day off, which would be Jupiter’s expansive energy. It expanded the time around me to feel longer somehow. On the second day of the conjunction (which also hit my natal moon) I had an incredibly stressful day, which felt like hit after hit of stressful events happening. On reflection afterwards, what I took from it was a reminder of where to put my energy. Toward the things I can grow and nurture, rather than being pulled into a spiral that isn't mine to fix, and for me that translates as my beloved astrology business. Whatever came up for you, the New Moon is now offering you the space to reflect on it.

I have really been enjoying the shift of Mercury into my own natal sign of Cancer this week. Mercury represents how we communicate and think, and Cancer signifies care, nurturing and is a highly intuitive and empathic sign. I have had some lovely words said to me this week from a variety of people, some have really touched me (although it doesn’t take much being a Cancerian ha!). I also give Reiki treatments as part of my business and one of my clients, out of the blue, told me how proud she felt of how far I’ve come over the years. This really touched me, as it was so unexpected. The conversations, I notice, seem to be more thought through - people are (perhaps subconsciously) considering more how their words may land with others and it feels, to me, more caring. Being a Cancerian myself I love this! I’m here for the emotive discussions and big feelings and being that we are still in the communicative and social season of Gemini there’s plenty of it about! I’d love to know, has your communication felt different this week?

This week starts with a beautiful conjunction between Venus and Jupiter at 25 degrees of Cancer on Tuesday 9th June. A conjunction is when the energy of 2 planets blends together, for Venus we have beauty, love, pleasure mixed with the expansive energy of Jupiter, the planet of luck and higher wisdom. Both planets are benefics which means that they signify ease, growth and positivity.

However, there is a caveat to this energy as Chiron is forming a square- which brings challenges- to both planets. Chiron is known as the wounded healer and signifies where we feel a lack emotionally or old emotional wounds or baggage that we have been carrying, possibly as far back as from childhood. I have written about what both of these things means for your sign below.

On Friday 12th June Uranus squares up to the Nodes which shakes things loose, making things feel suddenly uncertain or a sense of a loss of direction. Don’t fight it, let the energy flow take you where it needs to go, as by Saturday 13th June Venus will move into Leo bringing energy and connection. Leaning into any drama will only snowball things. The week ends with the energy building towards a new beginning with the New Moon in Gemini, but more on that next week.

Hi Astro Tribe!

I hope you all had a lovely week under the support of Venus in Cancer and managed to stay in the moment. I had a well timed holiday last week which I used the energy to stay as much in the moment as I could and really found pleasure (Venus) in taking my little dog with me, he really made my week.

The Mars-Pluto square was also really interesting for me as here in the UK we have experienced a short-lived heatwave and the anxiety I felt of having to drive to our destination on the hottest day really highlighted the pressure of Mars versus the control of Pluto for me. I did everything in my power to keep my little dog cool, given that the air con in the car broke and he’s a very anxious doggy passenger too! Anyway, I’ve returned from my trip feeling a sense of rest and power in that I made the stressful journey and had the best time with him. I feel like I have come through the transformation (Pluto) process and out of the other side with much more confidence, especially as a nervous driver too!

This week begins with a Full Moon in Sagittarius at 9 degrees on Sunday 31st May. This is actually the second Full Moon of this month making it a Blue Moon (a rare occurrence!). A Blue Moon only happens once a year, and we get a double whammy of releasing energy. The week begins under this energy and you may feel it for a few days into the week.

A Full Moon marks the end of a lunation cycle and the sign it’s in signifies the flavour of it. This particular Full Moon is asking you to release or let go of something which has been hidden or has been holding you back in some way. Coupled with the Mars-Pluto square we all experienced at the end of last week look to where there was a pressure point or moment of pushing through something uncomfortable, there could be a connection.

Sagittarius is the big picture thinker, so whatever area of your life you have felt that a belief or view has changed then it could be time to step into a new way of seeing the world.

On Monday 1st June Mercury then moves into the sign of Cancer. So as you travel through the Full Moon -release and let go energy- you also enter into a more intuitive and emotionally centric way of communicating and thinking for the next month or so before Mercury enters its retrograde period.

Hi Astro Tribe!

We enter into Gemini season this week. Gemini loves to gather and exchange information, it loves to learn and to teach too. Gemini is adept at juggling things, including social invitations and their extensive connections. So expect things to get more chatty and sociable over the next few weeks.

On Sunday 17th May Mercury changes its sign and moves into Gemini, where it creates some friction and sparks with Uranus. How we communicate and think versus unexpected or sudden information which could be the driving force for change. At the beginning of the week things may feel difficult or pressured mentally. Notice what comes up for you as there’s potential here for breakthroughs, breakouts or break ups.

Personally, my chart is lighting up putting me right in the spotlight with work. As a Chiron in the 10th individual, the wound I carry through life is that of being soul-tested when I put my work out there. I’ve been feeling the Gemini energy coming in with having to juggle several lines of work all at once, and it’s been tough. As the conjunction between Mercury and Uranus has been building I’ve been having to dig deep into my resilience. This week is your in-depth breakdown of the New Moon, taking place on Saturday the 16th May at 25 degrees of Taurus. This one has the extra twist of Mercury sitting right next to it, infusing it with ideas, communication and thinking.

New Moons signify the beginning of a new lunar cycle as the Sun and the Moon come together in the sky and blend their energies. It’s not a time of action but a time of reflection, where we recognise what we need to let go of from the past cycle and set intentions on where we are headed.

Hi Astro Tribe!

This week it’s the month ahead special. As we enter May with deep, dark depths of the transformative Scorpio Full Moon it’s an intense start to the month. Full Moon’s are never easy. It’s documented that hospitals record more admissions on a Full Moon, more babies are born and I can’t not mention that we just-don’t-sleep! They are powerful events and this Full Moon is no different. As I have written below ( see Full Moon in Sagittarius) Full Moons have a push-pull tension to them as the Moon is opposite the Sun (also in it’s opposite sign) in the sky.

The Scorpio Full Moon created a dynamic between emotional entanglement verses values and worth. For me personally I have felt the sting (Scorpio) of being overlooked. Of having put in the quiet, consistent work for something and then noticing how recognition flows elsewhere.

Scorpio deals in the unseen. In what is felt, but not said. The question the Scorpio-Taurus dynamic asks us isn’t just - hang on a minute, what just happened there? It asks us to dig deeper and ask how I value myself? It’s often the moments that sting the most which poke at a much older wound. The part of us that wonders whether our efforts are truly seen. Whether we are truly seen.

Self worth doesn’t come from being recognised by others. It comes from knowing, that what you’re building really matters. That your voice, your work, your presence has value before anyone else confirms it.

Full Moon in Scorpio

On Friday 1st May at about 6pm GMT the Full Moon in Scorpio will be making a square to Pluto, this energy could be felt throughout the weekend. A Full Moon marks the end of a lunation cycle and signifies a time to release and let go in order to prepare for the next cycle ahead. When the Moon is full this means that the Sun is directly opposite it, shining it’s light brightly onto it. However an opposition brings tension- a push-pull of energies. This Scorpio Full Moon is opposite a Taurus Sun. Taurus brings material possessions and resources, values and finances and Scorpio pushes for transformation and what lies beneath the surface. Scorpio energy can be painful as it pushes to expose what’s been hidden and can force endings to clear the path ahead.

The Sun’s rays will illuminate what needs to be brought out of the darkness. At the same time Mercury will also be exactly conjunct to Chiron, bringing words and thoughts to our deepest wounds. It’s a good opportunity to say the thing which has been unspoken, the thing which could create some healing for you.

This is an intensely emotional Moon, if you feel drawn to time alone -take it, reflect, journal and release at this Moon.

Pluto Retrograde

Then on Wednesday 6th May Pluto begins it’s almost 7 month retrograde until December 2026. Pluto is the slowest moving planet in the sky so this is not a big dramatic retrograde like the faster moving planets such as Mercury. A retrograde period is a time of inner reflection and inner work, less external more internal. As Pluto sits in the sign of Aquarius it’s retrograde impacts the collective as a whole. It’s a quiet dismantling of power structures or imbalances. You may begin questioning your role within your community or groups, or how you engage with them and as Aquarius rules technology this could refer to the internet or AI, for example. Pluto in Aquarius could also bring fixation or obsessive thoughts, internal power struggles or narratives. Be mindful of fully withdrawing from your communities and groups, as too much isolation may only perpetuate things.

Sun-Mercury Cazimi

On Thursday 14th May Mercury meets the Sun in a Cazimi, both planets will be in the slow and steady sign of Taurus. A Cazimi occurs when both planets are exactly conjunct, the planet connecting with the Sun is said to be in the “heart of it’s rays”, where things become clearer and insight can be gained. Mercury rules communication so this could make for a good day where conversations or messages land well with people. Pay attention to where you get clarity as it could guide you forward with your future plans.

New Moon in Taurus

On Saturday 16th May it’s a New Moon at 25 degrees Taurus at roughly 8pm GMT. A New Moon marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle for the month. It’s a time where things end in order to make space for the new to begin. It’s not a time to take action, it’s a time to quietly set your intentions for the future ahead of you.

The sign the New Moon is in dictates the flavour of it and the degrees here matter as it’s in it’s final stages of the sign which brings a mature energy. Taurus is slow, steady and grounded. As the most reliable sign of the zodiac it gives good long term-goal energy. It wants you to address issues around self worth and value, stability and grounding and seeing things through to the end. Taurus is also the sign associated with finances. Making decisions around your finances could become clearer, pay attention to how you talk to yourself about money - your words have real gravitas right now. Mars Square Pluto

On Monday 25th May Mars will reach an exact square with Pluto. This energy could be felt as early as the week before, as we tend to intuitively pick up on these things before they happen in the sky, and especially as Mars is in Taurus things may build gradually. This may last only a couple of weeks-with it’s peak on Monday.

Now, this is a special little transit as Pluto is currently retrograding (see above) whatever themes or situations that arise for you, more than likely won’t be a one off event, they could pop up again around January of 2027 when Pluto has gained forward motion again and returns to the same degree position. It’s worth remembering that the exact same thing will not happen to you as through astrology we change and grow as the planets do their thing, but you could see or feel echoes of this transit. Think of it as part 2 of the story.

Pluto works quietly within us for this transit, this is more about what’s going on inside of you as opposed to external actions and as Pluto’s work is transformation, things may come up for you that you can no longer ignore. You may hit a point of- this has to change or I can’t keep doing this in the same way. Old resentments or agitations could arise. You may not be able to move things forward as you’d like or things feel blocked or stuck. Mars will push you to make decisions around power or control imbalances, you may feel the need to stand up for yourself. Be mindful of knee-jerk reactions and impulses.

This is such a deep transit in which you may question why you are tolerating or putting up with something or where you need to reclaim your power.

Full Moon in Sagittarius

On Sunday 31st May there will be a Full Moon at 9 degrees of Sagittarius at around 8am GMT. A Full Moon represents the ending of a lunar cycle and is a time of release and re-set, in order to make way for the new. A Full is fully lit by the Sun and when two luminaries come together like this it shines light on things which may not have been clear before. With every Full Moon the Sun is opposite the Moon in the sky, this creates a push-pull tension. For this Full Moon the Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius and the Sun is in the sign of Gemini, therefore creating a tension between the facts (Gemini) verses the truth (Sagittarius).

This Full Moon has the potential for you to gain insights on where you have been thinking too small or what the bigger picture means for you. You be party to conversation in which the truth is spoken-do be careful with your words, Sagittarius can be a bit foot-in-mouth at times. As Sagittarius needs freedom, you may feel ready to break out of a routine or responsibility. Follow your dreams of travel or learning. You may get a clearer sense of what you want from life but be mindful of going too big, too fast.

Hi Astro Tribe!

Your weekly horoscopes are here, sign by sign, and this week is an extremely big shift as Uranus moves out of Taurus and into Gemini on Sunday 26th April for the next 7 years. The last time it was in this sign was 84 years ago, so this is a big deal.

This is an especially big shift for our Gemini friends as it fires up the 1st house of self, identity and physical appearance, others will watch you break out of your old identity. And what a week to begin. Mars and Saturn are meeting in Aries, the warrior and the teacher, standing together in the sign of bold new starts. It’s serious energy, intentional energy. The kind that asks, what are you truly ready to commit to? What version of yourself are you backing, properly, this time?

On Sunday the 19th April Mars joins Saturn at 7 degrees Aries bringing a melding pot of push-pull tensions for the next week or so. Mars (the warrior) wants direct action and to get things started but Saturn (the teacher) wants to slow things down, create structure and accept responsibility. So the cocktail of initiation versus methodical approach may feel frustrating in the least. Something is shifting this week. You can probably feel it- a kind of clearing- like a renewed energy. Mercury is finally free of its retrograde shadow, moving at full speed again, and Mars has entered Aries, filling the air with courage and the quiet certainty that now is the time.

On Monday 13th April Mars meets Neptune in those early degrees of Aries, the warrior (Mars) and the dreamer (Neptune), holding hands. It’s an invitation to act from your soul rather than your fear. To let what you truly want, guide what you actually do.

On the very same day Venus will also be in a sextile with Jupiter, bringing an self directed opportunity in love, creativity and luck! With sextiles I find that the opportunities which arise concern things which are already in motion, but it won’t just land in your lap, you have to watch for it and take action.

On Friday 17th April the New Moon in Aries will be blending it's energy with Chiron the wounded healer. The New Moon symbolises the beginning of a new lunar cycle, it’s not a time to take action as such - more to reflect on what seeds you would like to sow over the next month or year. It’s a great time for setting some intentions which you can do by writing down what you would like to manifest over time. I have added some intention setting prompts to your sign to help with this.

As this New Moon will be action (Aries) orientated, be bold, direct and initiating in your intentions. The added twist with this Moon is Chiron infusing it’s energy into the mix. Chiron is known as the wounded healer as symbolises the marks you carry that never quite heal. The thing you struggle with which keeps resurfacing. This wound doesn’t fix by being healed, it’s fixes by being used and this week may activate yours in order to heal. It could be an uncomfortable week as a result of this but notice where you resist, self sabotage or avoid, and you’ll find your place of healing. I’ve written about it for each sign below.

I love reflecting on the transits we live through as I find that’s where I gain the most knowledge when you can see it playing out in life, and I know I keep banging on about the current Jupiter in Cancer transit but I think this is worth sharing… As you may (or may not) remember Jupiter is currently transiting my first house of self and identity. I mentioned in a previous post how I feel it has been protecting (Cancer) my physical health (1st house). I have not had any of the nasty cold, flu viruses which I religious contract each year. Now to up the game. A family member who I spent 3 days with recently got Covid whilst I was with her. 4 days later I’m still Covid free (and no I didn’t pass it to her, we both took tests). I mean- come on- that’s a Jupiter in Cancer in the 1st house result!

Not only has it been boosting my health but I also started to notice how whenever I have ordered or bought something it came with a discount! Jupiter (planet of luck and abundance) really has been making me feel really fortunate! I ordered something (with a discount) and it literally arrived with a £10 off voucher for something else I was considering buying! That’s not to say that it’s all luck with this transit, I have also been going through a period of assessing my appearance, feeling unhappy with how I look and a lack of confidence, which still feels difficult right now. I decided to do a small over-haul of my wardrobe and invest in some different beauty products. Jupiter in the first is great for new looks or changing your appearance, so let’s see.

For now, let talk about the coming week. On the 9th April at around 9pm BST Mars will move into the sign of Aries. Va-va-voom! Mars in Aries brings the energy of let’s go and get this thing done! It’s bold, direct and takes the bull by the horns. However, it will be combining it’s energy with Neptune which slightly fogs and confuses things. Mars (your driving force) can give Neptune (your dreams) a foot up this week. Whatever you have been daydreaming or wishing for now will have the driving force behind it to bring it into the world finally.

However be aware of false starts, when Mars gets you all fired up to get the plan of action going and Neptune steers you off course. Neptune can also wash out Mars’s fiery actions by bringing low energy into the mix, you may feel tired and confused.
