Okay, so this message has been dying to come through me.

As I’m writing this, today is the eclipse in Pisces, but this isn’t actually about the eclipse.

I want to talk about Pluto, a planet that exists in every single one of our birth charts and that none of us can avoid—not if we want to access our full power in this lifetime.

Right now, Pluto is in Aquarius, the sign of humanity and the collective. That means Pluto’s themes—power, control, fear, darkness, truth, and transformation—are playing out through society at large, revealing how each of us relates to the collective and where the individual fits within it.

Pluto is such an ironic planet because it represents both our collective darkness and the darkness inside every human being on this Earth. I don’t care if you are Mother Teresa or identify as an earth angel; you still have Pluto in your birth chart. Pluto represents your deepest fears, trauma, obsessions, and wounds, but it is also the source of your deepest power and freedom.

Genuine power is unadulterated life force, and the thing that puts a cap on that power is fear. We are afraid of going too far and causing something bad to happen, so we make ourselves smaller. We are afraid of being hurt again, so we try to control everything around us. We see people who appear evil or destructive, reject everything they represent, and then reject those same energies inside ourselves without even realizing it.

That is why Pluto is so ironic.

Everyone has darkness, and that darkness contains the key to alchemizing ourselves into our genuine power, yet most people do not want to admit that it exists inside them.

It is so much easier to notice everyone else’s Pluto than it is to see your own. You can convince yourself that you are hiding it and that nobody can see what is really happening underneath the surface, but the more you repress Pluto, the more it comes out in subconscious and unconscious ways.

This is one of the reasons individuals, relationships, families, and societies recreate the same patterns over and over throughout time. The darkness we refuse to acknowledge does not disappear. It quietly starts running our lives.

Give Me the Truth or Repeat the Pattern

In my own birth chart, I have Pluto at 24 degrees of Scorpio exactly opposite my Sun at 24 degrees of Taurus.

To say that I have had to battle my own darkness would be an understatement.

For a long time, I believed all the darkness I was seeing was outside of me. I could see it clearly in other people, and I was constantly triggered by it, but I could not see where the same energy lived inside me.

Once I reclaimed those parts of myself, admitted they were there, and stopped making their existence mean something terrible about who I was, they finally began to integrate. As that happened, I stopped being so triggered by people who carried those traits outside of me, and the pattern stopped being such a major focus in my life.

Pluto is deeply connected to trust. It asks whether you trust the universe, the unfolding of your life, and the patterns and karmic loops trying to show you the truth.

Pluto is psychic because it can see straight to the root of something, and its message is always the same: give me the truth or repeat the pattern. If you refuse to allow the truth to exist, the same experience will keep returning in different forms until you are finally willing to see what it is showing you.

When Pluto believes something painful might happen, it tries to control, resist, contort, and project the pain outward to prevent it.

The problem is that these attempts to prevent the pain usually recreate it. We put so much attention and energy on stopping the thing we fear that our entire life begins revolving around it, and then we unknowingly make decisions that bring us directly back into the same experience.

How I Kept Recreating Abandonment

I experienced a lot of betrayal in my life, and I absolutely hated cheating. Because I had been betrayed so many times, I started trying to control the people in my relationships so that I would never have to feel that pain again.

If I sensed that the path might be leading toward betrayal or abandonment, I would try to correct the other person’s behavior. I believed that if I could control the relationship, I could stop them from leaving me.

What ended up happening was that they left anyway.

The loop continued, and every time it happened, I felt even more powerless because I believed their leaving proved there was something wrong with me.

What I couldn’t see was that my belief that people would abandon me was shaping the entire relationship. I believed they would leave, so I controlled them in an attempt to stop it.

They felt controlled, so they eventually wanted to leave, and then their leaving reinforced my belief that people always abandon me. That is how a Pluto pattern operates.

I finally learned this lesson in my relationship with Ryan because my attempts to control the relationship almost led to him leaving me.

That was when I realized I had been helping to create this pattern my entire life. I know how painful it is to face a Pluto pattern when you are convinced the problem exists outside of you.

You think, “No, they really are going to leave me, so I have to do something about it,” or, “They aren’t acting like a good boyfriend, so I need to tell them how to behave.”

When you aren’t getting what you want, controlling or manipulative behavior can start disguising itself as communication because you believe you are only trying to save the relationship.

The more you do that, however, the more likely you are to create the outcome you don’t want, because your actions are being driven by the belief that the outcome is already coming.

Imagine what would happen if you entered a relationship from a completely different place and said, “I trust you. You get to be yourself and live your life, and I do not need to imprison you inside my expectations to feel safe.” If you have ever had someone try to control you, ask yourself whether it made you love them more. Did control create more intimacy, or did you feel more love when you were given freedom, trust, and room to be yourself?

Pluto’s deepest power comes from the complete surrender of control. That does not mean becoming passive or allowing people to treat you however they want. It means you stop directing all your energy toward preventing an outcome and begin co-creating with life through faith, truth, and your own power.

The Timeline Split Is Not Light Versus Dark

Everyone is talking about a timeline shift right now, and from my perspective, it’s not the full picture.

I do not believe we are entering a timeline where half the population is revealed to be dark and becomes completely consumed by darkness while the other half is proven to be pure light. Nobody is pure light because every human being has darkness inside them.

I believe the timeline split is happening between different levels of consciousness.

On one timeline are the people who are willing to admit that darkness exists inside them. They are willing to take responsibility for it, remove the emotional charge around it, integrate it, and reclaim the power underneath it.

On the other timeline are the people who refuse to admit that the same darkness and power live inside them, so they need to keep projecting everything outward, judging other people, and controlling the external world.

I am not saying that one group of people is inherently better than the other. I am saying that one path leads toward personal responsibility, freedom, and creation, while the other keeps repeating the same unconscious patterns.

The split is not between good people and bad people. It is between the people willing to face the truth inside themselves and the people who still need the truth to belong to somebody else.

We do this collectively whenever we become so consumed with fighting darkness that we begin embodying the exact energy we claim to oppose. People will hate in the name of love, dehumanize in the name of justice, and destroy in the name of ending destruction.

Again, Pluto is ironic as fuck. Accepting that darkness exists does not mean condoning harmful behavior. It means accepting what is already true so that you can stop giving all your attention and life force to resisting it.

Stop Preventing and Start Creating

Where attention goes, energy flows.

When your attention is constantly on your deepest triggers and everything you are trying to prevent, your energy remains tied to those experiences. You are so focused on stopping the thing you fear that you have no energy left to create the thing you actually want.

Instead of asking, “How do I stop this terrible thing from happening?” ask yourself, “What can I create right now?”

Instead of directing all your energy toward fighting darkness somewhere in the world, think about how you can put more light there.

Plant the trees, build the resource, support the people, create the experience, and become part of the solution. Pluto’s ability to hyper-fixate is not inherently bad. The same intensity that can obsess over danger can become completely devoted to creation. The question is simply where you are pointing it.

Crazy things happen when we surrender control over the outcome, focus on the inward journey, and ask what we can create instead of obsessing over what we want to prevent. We stop acting in order to manipulate life into giving us something and start acting because we genuinely want more light, joy, beauty, or truth to exist right here and right now.

Pluto power is always based on truth. It is the power of saying, “I am doing this because I love doing it.” You are not doing something you hate because you hope it will eventually make you worthy, successful, or safe.

You are not trying to force life to reward you. The creation itself is already rewarding you.

You Were Already Paid Before You Got Paid

Learning to create instead of constantly problem-solving has transformed my life. It has changed my relationships, my relationship with money, my relationship with creativity, and what I believe is possible for me.

It has given me a freedom that comes from following joy without holding myself back. It feels like being a kid on a Friday night when there is no school tomorrow and the whole world feels open. You are not thinking about everything that could go wrong. You are asking your friends if they want to build a fort in the woods because you know life is yours to experience.

You see this Pluto pattern in so many stories about people who work relentlessly toward a goal. They do everything they can to build the business or create the life they want, but they are gripping the outcome so tightly that the entire process becomes traumatic.

Eventually, they reach a point where they cannot do it anymore, surrender everything, and say, “Fuck it, I’m just going to do what feels good.” Then, suddenly, the money comes in or the business begins to work because they have finally released the control that was blocking their power.

When you let go of fear and control, you can finally feel your actual relationship with life, and underneath all of it, that relationship is love. When you are no longer trying to control life, you can begin moving from love, and love is the deepest form of truth there is.

Which Side of the Split Are You Choosing?

I am sharing this because I pray you land on the side of the timeline split where your power lives.

Start connecting the dots between the things that trigger you, make you angry, or cause you to completely reject someone or something outside of yourself.

Ask where that same underlying energy lives inside you. It may not appear in the same form or through the same actions, but the energy is there somewhere.

Notice where you control, where you manipulate, where you abandon yourself, and where you use fear to justify limiting your own life.

Let the answers exist without turning them into evidence that you are a bad person. Write about what it would mean for these parts of you to be allowed to exist. Remove the judgment, release the resistance, and then ask yourself what you would be free to create if this were no longer a problem you needed to control.

That is where your power has been waiting.

Fear is your only problem.

Your fear, my fear, and our collective fear that we instill in both ourselves and others is the only problem.

We have a Full Moon eclipse alongside a Mercury cazimi, illuminating a message or way of thinking that can shatter your reality. It’s shocking and life-altering, like an earthquake or flood that permanently changes the landscape. And as much as it shakes you up, it’s meant to help you release fear from your body.

Fear can keep us stuck in either direction.

It can keep us up in the clouds, relying on faith and spirituality without bringing anything practical down into reality because we’re too afraid to take action. Or it can keep us constantly doing, forcing and overanalyzing, wasting precious energy instead of conserving it and sitting in our power.

You don’t need to do more to get more. You need to get clear.

There is another layer to this eclipse around the fear we instill in each other. Today, August 12th, we have a South Node solar eclipse in Leo at 20 degrees, and I keep coming back to one thing:

We are ending an era of confusing authority with value.

I’ve been having download upon download about what this eclipse is doing to the collective, and man, this feels like a massive ending in the way humanity relates to value and leadership.

Yes, a solar eclipse is a New Moon, so there is a new beginning embedded within it. But this eclipse is on the South Node, which means that new beginning is emerging through what we are finally willing to shed.

And what we are shedding is Leo themes:

Our relationship to leadership, success, recognition, creativity, joy, authority, being seen, being important and what we believe makes someone valuable.

Meanwhile, the North Node is in Aquarius.

This is where we are collectively evolving, and Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn, which immediately brings us into questions of responsibility. Who holds responsibility? Who gets rewarded for it? Who gets paid the most? Who gets listened to? Who gets power?

And most importantly, what have we actually been valuing in the people we call leaders?

Because Aquarius does not relate to Saturn the same way Capricorn does. Capricorn understands hierarchy.

There is someone at the top, someone at the bottom, and a structure determining how power, status and resources move between them. Aquarius wants to know how the structure serves the collective. It is humanitarian. It is concerned with equality. It understands that every person within the ecosystem is contributing something necessary to the whole.

And we are beginning to realize just how deeply we have built our world around the opposite idea.

We have created systems where the people at the top of the hierarchy accumulate more money, power and resources while the people actually keeping the ecosystem alive can barely sustain themselves.

We have attached value to money, status, leadership and the appearance of authority, and then wondered why so many of our institutions feel stagnant, disconnected and completely devoid of life force.

The concept that keeps smacking me in the face around this eclipse is the Peter Principle.

The Peter Principle describes what happens when people are promoted through a hierarchy based on their competence in one role until eventually they arrive in a position they are no longer particularly competent at. Someone is incredible at what they do, so we reward them by moving them farther and farther away from the thing they were incredible at.

And when you really think about that, it exposes something strange about what we value.

Instead of saying, You are fucking incredible at this. Your gift is valuable. Let’s give you more resources, money, freedom and support so you can become even better at it.

We say: You’re incredible at this, so now you should become an authority over the people doing it.

We have made authority the reward for having a gift.

And this is part of what is dying.

The last time we were moving through Leo/Aquarius eclipses was 2017–2018, and my life during that period taught me this lesson in a way I don’t think I fully understood until now.

At the first Leo eclipse in 2017, the North Node was in Leo. Collectively, we were moving toward Leo themes: passion, joy, creativity, self-expression and heart. And personally, Leo rules my 11th house, so I was moving toward belonging.

Around that eclipse, I started working at a cannabis dispensary, and I had never felt like I belonged somewhere more.

I fucking loved that job.

I loved the people I worked with. Our values were aligned. Everyone was badass. The company cared deeply about the quality of the product. They were hiring well-known chefs to make their baked goods. We would taste the non-infused samples. The entire environment felt abundant and fun and alive.

And I worked my ass off.

I was one of the hardest-working budtenders there. My bosses constantly told me I was a rock star. Everyone reflected back to me how hard I worked, how passionate I was and how much I brought to the environment.

Naturally, I thought that would lead somewhere.

I thought my passion would lead to more opportunity. I thought working hard at something I genuinely loved would lead to more money, more freedom, more responsibility and ultimately even more joy.

Then, around the next eclipse six months later, two of my coworkers were promoted.

And I wasn’t.

What stood out to me was that both of them carried something I didn’t naturally embody at the time: authority.

They weren’t working harder than me. They weren’t pouring more life force into the job. But they carried themselves like authorities, and they were promoted into authority.

That experience completely deflated me.

Because being told I was a rock star could only sustain me for so long when the material reciprocity wasn’t there. I could barely afford to move out of my parents’ house. Compliments were wonderful, but compliments weren’t actually sustaining my life.

And this is something so many people are exhausted by right now.

People are working their asses off while their resources are being drained and drained and drained. And one of the only things that makes hard work sustainable is genuinely loving what you are doing. When you are inside your gifts, your work can actually generate life force. But when those gifts are properly reciprocated too? That is where abundance becomes possible.

You give your gift to the ecosystem. The ecosystem gives life back to you.

That same eclipse taught me what that feels like because I also met Ryan at that job.

We started dating around that first Leo eclipse, and almost ten years later, he is still one of the most reciprocal relationships I have ever experienced.

Being with him taught me that genuine reciprocity creates more energy. It creates devotion. It creates inspiration. It makes you want to give because what is coming back to you feels just as alive as what you are pouring out.

I just hadn’t experienced it in my career yet.

And eventually, something really fucking ironic happened at that dispensary job.

I stopped caring.

After working incredibly hard and feeling like none of it materially mattered, I slowly lost steam. Eventually I started treating the job like a paycheck. I showed up. I did what I needed to do. I stopped pouring myself into it.

And then I got promoted.

That promotion fucked with me more than not getting promoted ever did.

Suddenly I was making a great salary. I was given employee of the month. Everyone kept telling me I was doing amazing.

And I was miserable.

I barely had anything to do. I would beg for more things to do at work. I couldn’t sleep. I was bored out of my fucking mind. I felt completely disconnected from myself.

I would have done anything to go back to the beginning when I was working my ass off as a budtender because I actually loved what I was doing.

And I kept thinking: why couldn’t you pay me this salary then?

Why was my passion, connection, productivity and actual contribution worth less than my ability to occupy a higher position on the hierarchy?

Why did I have to leave the thing I was gifted at to become more valuable?

And how many people are living this exact story?

How many people have been taught that the only way to make more money is to move farther away from their actual gifts?

How many people are sitting in management positions they hate because becoming the manager was the only available path toward financial growth?

How many brilliant creators, teachers, caregivers, craftspeople, salespeople, growers, builders, cooks and workers have been taught that mastery of their gift is somehow less valuable than authority over someone else?

We have created a world full of people who are bored, unfulfilled and disconnected from what makes them come alive because we built a hierarchy that says moving up matters more than moving deeper.

And I see this South Node in Leo eclipse as part of dismantling that.

Because the North Node in Aquarius does not need everyone to become the king.

It needs the ecosystem.

A budtender talking directly to customers and creating relationships that make those customers come back is valuable. The person growing the plant is valuable. The person developing the product is valuable. The person cleaning the building is valuable. The person leading the organization is valuable.

Leadership can still exist. Responsibility can still exist. Structure can still exist.

But leadership does not have to mean being above everyone.

We can start allowing leaders to lead because leadership is genuinely their gift, while allowing someone else to become extraordinary at their gift without requiring them to become a leader to earn more resources.

That is a completely different value system.

And it leads me into the futuristic idea I cannot stop thinking about.

We originally created money to expand our ability to trade. It allowed value to move between people who could not directly exchange what they had with one another.

But money has increasingly become disconnected from the actual resources, gifts and needs existing on Earth right now.

We have started treating money itself as abundance.

But money is not abundance.

Resources are abundance. Human creativity is abundance. Food is abundance. Knowledge is abundance. Technology is abundance. Land is abundance. Community is abundance. People being deeply connected to their gifts is abundance.

So I keep wondering what would happen if we eventually removed money as the third party and used something we have now that ancient systems of trade never had: algorithms on the internet.

Imagine an algorithm capable of circulating resources through humanity based on what people have, what people need and what people are naturally gifted at contributing.

You do not have to directly trade with the person who has what you need. Maybe they don’t need anything you personally have. Fine. Someone else does.

You contribute your gift into the ecosystem. The algorithm finds where that gift is needed. Someone else contributes their gift somewhere completely different. Resources continuously circulate toward the places they are actually needed.

Instead of everyone desperately trying to accumulate the same third-party resource called money, people could become increasingly specialized in what they naturally bring to humanity.

You stay in your gift.

You grow your gift.

You become better and better at your gift.

People with complementary gifts begin forming ecosystems around one another, and those ecosystems become increasingly abundant because everyone is contributing something different.

It reminds me of a food forest.

A food forest works because you create an ecosystem of plants that support one another. Different plants play different roles, and the health of the system emerges through the relationship between them.

What if humanity operated the same way?

Each of our gifts becomes part of the forest.

And when something becomes scarce, scarcity itself becomes an invitation into creativity.

Humans are fucking incredible at this. When the obvious route disappears, we invent another one.

A friend recently sent me a story about someone who couldn’t sell his house, so instead of continuing to approach the problem the same way, he raffled it off for $10 a ticket. People could buy an inexpensive ticket for the possibility of winning the house.

Suddenly thousands of people who never could have purchased the house outright could participate, the owner created another path toward receiving value for the property, and someone gained access to something that would have otherwise been completely inaccessible to them.

That is what fascinates me.

Constraint created creativity, and creativity created a completely different pathway for abundance to circulate.

Imagine what happens when billions of people are invited into that level of creativity.

When we stop assuming someone with $10 inherently deserves less access to life than someone with $10 million, we have to become more creative about how resources circulate.

And creativity is Leo.

That is the paradox of this eclipse.

We are not losing Leo’s creativity. We are shedding the distorted version of Leo that says creativity exists so I can become important, successful, admired or elevated above everyone else.

We are taking Leo’s life force and plugging it into the collective, AKA Aquarius.

Your gift becomes valuable because of what it brings into the ecosystem.

Saturn is also in Aries right now, which brings this conversation directly back to the individual.

Who am I? And how do I lead myself?

Saturn can show us where we experience limitation, and in Aries we are confronting limitations around the self itself. But there is something incredibly powerful available here: taking responsibility for who you actually are.

Owning your gifts so completely that you stop waiting for the hierarchy to tell you they are valuable.

Standing so deeply inside what naturally wants to move through you that your value becomes obvious because people can actually feel what happens when your gift enters the ecosystem.

You don’t need to manipulate people into seeing you as important or valuable. Value exchanged becomes more based on truth, not marketing tactics.

You don’t need to perform success so your parents are proud of you, strangers respect you, your old friends regret underestimating you or the internet decides you matter.

You get to redefine success around the depth of your connection to your own life force and what happens when you offer that life force to the world.

And this is why we are watching so many people fall from these imaginary pedestals right now.

Hierarchy requires us to believe someone above us is fundamentally different from us.

Aquarius exposes the fact that they are another human being.

People fuck up. People lose themselves. People find themselves again. People make mistakes. People change. People go through breakdowns and awakenings and periods where they are deeply connected to themselves and periods where they are completely fucking lost.

No amount of money, followers, status or cultural authority changes that.

And perhaps that realization is part of how we bring the leaders down and everyone else up.

We stop asking, How do I get to the top?

And start asking, Where do I plug in?

Because maybe the future isn’t everyone fighting to climb the same hierarchy.

Maybe it looks more like a food forest.

The term “false light” is doing more harm than good for the spiritual community.

People say they want to learn forgiveness and heal, but this term inherently blocks both.

Here’s a quick story of what forgiveness leading to deep healing has looked like in my life:

I had a friend with a large audience online as a spiritual influencer. He wanted my astrology services, so we made a deal: I would give him three months of astrology services in exchange for him promoting my astrology product to his audience.

I fulfilled my end of the agreement.

He never fulfilled his.

No matter how many times I asked, it didn’t happen. I felt hurt, betrayed, and taken advantage of.

In that moment, I would have loved to label him as “false light.”

According to Google and much of the spiritual community, “false light” refers to spiritual teachings, entities, or people who appear benevolent but are actually deceptive, ego-driven, or manipulative.

But nine years with my soulmate has taught me that blaming and labeling someone never gets me—or the other person—anywhere on our growth journey.

Instead, I reflected on the times I had received something from someone and failed to fully honor my end of the agreement.

I realized I’d done the same thing. And it wasn’t because I was malicious, but because my ego wanted what I was receiving so badly that I wasn’t fully in integrity with what I had agreed to give.

That realization changed how I looked at the value of our exchange.

I forgave my friend. I told him how the situation made me feel, but I also thanked him for illuminating the same shadow within me, and shared where I’d done the same thing in my own life.

This is important to note: I didn’t send that message to get anything from him or to make him feel guilty.

I sent it to heal myself.

I sent it to take responsibility for my own pattern, give him the opportunity to turn inward and do the same (out of love)… and make sure I never repeated that pattern again.

I was never going to say yes to a deal again unless I deeply WANTED to give what I promised to give.

He took what I said to heart, immediately honored his original promise, and became much more intentional about keeping his word.

We both were able to shift how we move through the world.

That experience taught me something I’ll never forget:

“False light” isn’t a spiritual or healing concept.

It’s rooted in the very thing it claims to expose: The ego.

The ego is the protective part of us that creates separation.

It convinces us that danger exists outside of us, so we identify it, label it, and try to protect ourselves from it.

And let me be clear!!! There is nothing wrong with discernment, and sharing that discernment.

No human being is 100% pure.

I’m not.

Neither are you.

We absolutely should recognize when someone’s behavior lacks integrity, and we can share the facts with people.

But there’s a difference between telling the facts of a behavior and labeling a behavior.

If you’re using “false light” to just describe a behavior, then describe the behavior.

When someone lies, manipulates, or breaks their word, say that. That’s truth. That’s “what is”.

And you can do something with “what is” instead of just judge and warn. There is power there.

Replacing observable behavior with the label "false light" adds judgment and emotional charge that repeats the wound instead of healing it.

The moment we call a person or behavior “false light,” we’ve stopped observing the multi dimensional nature of reality and started judging it as a blanket statement.

Instead of “this person had partially good intentions, but did it from an ego place, and caused damage. And now needs to take respoinbsbilte for the deeper truth”

.. It becomes this person is BAD.

That judgment makes forgiveness much harder because it inserts separation between you and the other person. You are now good, and they are now bad.

Forgiveness & healing doesn’t come from believing someone is bad and you are good.

It comes from recognizing that you have acted from ego too. So the other person has a reason to drop their own ego protections and take responsibility to heal too.

Maybe your situation looked different. Maybe it was more mild feeling. Maybe the consequences weren’t as severe.

Power and freedom comes from admitting to yourself: You’ve also cared more about what you were getting than what you were giving at some point. It’s what happens when a human is in survival at certain points in their life.

We’re connected through these moments.

That’s why wounded people hurt wounded people.

The cycle only ends when someone stops looking outward for the source of the problem and recognizes the same human pattern within themselves.

A story from the Buddhist tradition captures this beautifully:

A Buddhist monk was captured by bandits who were about to cut off his head.

The monk calmly said, "I've given you full permission to cut off my head. I don't want you to suffer as a result of this."

The bandits were stunned. They had never met someone who wasn't afraid to die and who, instead of thinking about himself, was concerned about the suffering they would create within themselves. The bandit chief dropped his sword, renounced violence, and became the monk's disciple. Some of the other bandits also became monks, while the rest abandoned their lives as bandits.

Forgiveness feels so difficult today because we’ve become so quick to define people by the worst thing they’ve done instead of understanding the fear that drove it.

That’s the hidden cost of the term “false light.”

It encourages us to categorize people instead of understand them.

This is an invitation to not turn someone’s behavior into their identity, for your sake and theirs.

That doesn’t create more healing. It creates more separation.

You catch more bees with honey than with fire.

We think unpredictable people are dangerous.

But people are only unpredictable when they’ve contained their emotions for so long it slips out in sideways ways.

I feel more alive right now in my life than I ever have.

Yet my emotions move through me like tidal waves.

I feel more anxious around new people.

And at the same time, I feel like someone doped me up with MDMA when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

My lip twitches like I’m about to explode when I get angry now.

But at the same time, I can feel orgasmic in myself just walking down the street on a random Tuesday.

I had a friend tell me after another emotional outburst I had, “you know you can contain your emotions. It’s the mature thing to do.”

And for a month or two I began to feel shame over this new emotional freedom I granted myself.

I felt shame that I wasn’t showing up calm and contained in all my relationships like I had previously.

And then I remembered, I felt dead when I used to be that way.

We think containment of our emotions is the goal. That it makes other people feel more comfortable, so do it for them.

And then as a result, we perform our aliveness. We perform joy. We add a little “laugh” into things we say just to prove we are happy.

But genuine aliveness doesn’t perform joy.

Aliveness is about embracing every emotion we are afraid to be seen in, so our joy can be genuine when it spills out too.

The most contained people are the least genuinely joyous.

So let’s stop stuffing down our emotions just to make people feel comfortable at the expense of your own aliveness.

Genuine authenticity is allowing yourself to be all parts of you:

The anxious you. The angry you. The cry baby you.

But most importantly: The alive you.

The world will never feel like home until humanity stops calling truth mean and starts recognizing it as the most profound form of love we have.

We are not there yet.

Right now the world runs on management. Everyone carefully calibrating what comes out, adjusting how they say things, softening their actual answer so that nobody has to feel anything too uncomfortable. We protect people’s world view because we don’t want to be responsible for dismantling it.

And that’s the wound: that we think we are responsible for other people’s healing before our own.

We have been taught to call this kindness, but it is a worldwide manipulation so normalized that most people cannot see it. And as long as we are all doing it, we are all keeping each other stuck in the same wounded loops.

On a relational level, here is what the higher expression of this looks like:

Your friend wants to come on your trip and you don’t want her there. Your actual, clean answer is no.

You say no. She feels hurt.

She has to sit with that hurt, and in sitting with it she has to look at herself — at why she needed to come, at what came up in her when she didn’t get what she wanted, at the pattern underneath the reaction. You gave her the opportunity to take her sovereignty back.

To take her ability to heal a wound she has by facing a deeper truth within herself about where it originated. The story she spins from it isn’t even accurate. It was projected onto her by the collective shadow.

Whether she allows the truth to move through her to alchemize into more self love and sovereignty is her choice. But she only gets that choice because you stopped lying to her.

That is love. The kind that does not coddle anyone into staying small.

Mean and true are not the same thing.

Mean comes from a wound and true comes from being so rooted in yourself that you stop outsourcing your peace to other people’s reactions.

What comes out of your mouth is clean because it is not designed to manage anyone — it just is what it is.

On a societal level…

Mean stops making sense as a concept because mean implies someone did something to you, and truth does not do anything to you.

It just exists, and you either come toward it or you don’t.

The people who come toward it heal. The people who don’t will follow their own path, and that is the natural evolution of humanity.

On a systemic level, if humanity actually moved in this direction it would not be peaceful at first.

It would be some of the heaviest, most intense collective reckoning we have ever moved through.

People being faced with themselves over and over again, with nothing outside of them to change the subject, nothing to soothe the discomfort before it has done its work.

That is an emotional exorcism on a collective scale, and it would feel like one — raw, exposing, relentless in the way that real transformation always is.

It’s exhausting because it requires us to let go of the death grip we have on stories that keep us small. Stories that tell us we have to dim ourselves to get what we want.

Until what’s left is just being in truth. No thinking, just being.

If you have ever tried to live in your truth, you’ve likely felt the weight of what truth costs you:

Like when you said the true thing, caused chaos in a situation, and watched someone you love pull away.

Or the times you wondered if it would have been easier to just say nothing because of the backlash you got on the other side of the truth…

That is what it actually feels like to be one of the people moving humanity forward. That is the path to sovereignty. The path to home is heavy before it is free.

But as you speak your truth, people who can handle it, start magnetizing toward you and the others fall away.

This is a human being whose core is untouchable & fully sovereign

Someone so rooted in themselves that they are genuinely free in the deepest sense.

Free because nothing outside of them has the power to move them from themselves anymore. Life organized around their deepest truth. And a life like that is genuinely life-giving, because truth is the most sustainable form of love there is. It does not run out. It does not require performance. It does not cost you yourself to maintain it. It is the fullest extension of you and your heart.

This is what would happen to the collective shadow if humanity fully moved into truth:

Everyone’s shadow would become clean and so would the light.

Right now we have a wounded shadow: people acting from manipulation, from fear, from the distorted version of darkness that formed when we learned we could not just be ourselves.

And we have a wounded light: because every time someone softens their truth to make it more palatable, they are disguising darkness as light. They are calling management kindness, calling people-pleasing love, calling avoidance peace.

Truth brings both back to their pure form and for the first time we would have both without the wound running through them.

This is the feeling everyone chases from the wound, but never arrives at:

Home.

A way of being that is spacious and settled with no internal monitoring happening. You are just there, saying what is true, doing what is real, and something in you exhales that has not exhaled in a very long time. Maybe ever.

Stepping Off the Ledge

I know how hard it is to leap. I also know I have a bit of a head start: I’ve been taking these kinds of leaps since I was 9 years old when I first begged my parents to let me go to a 6-week sleep away fat camp, so I could lose weight, and went.

I’ve had a lot of time and experience learning how to trust the unknown. This is my greatest skill. Just like you have skills I wish I had.

So, as you read this, please do not let your brain say, “Well, that’s great for Rachel. She’s just naturally brave.” I’m not. I just have more practice.

Instead, I want you to read this and think: This will get easier and easier the more I do it. But I should fully expect the first time to feel like I am absolutely shitting my pants.

Because I promise you, that is exactly what it felt like for me. And honestly? It still feels like that sometimes when I take a leap in an area of my life I haven’t stretched into yet.

Here’s a story of a recent one that made me shit my pants a little:

From 2021-2023, I had built up a reputation for women’s retreats. Successfully hosting six retreats over two years. And then one day, my body just told me I didn’t want to do it anymore.

I had the next one already planned, house half paid for. The marketing was in full swing.

And I didn’t want to do it AT ALL.

Everyone around me told me I had finally “made it,” and that walking away now would be the stupidest financial and professional decision I could possibly make.

I was terrified of NOT hosting this next retreat. I had no backup plan. I had no idea how my bills would get paid.

But I had been using Astrology to help me make big leaps before, and it confirmed what my gut already knew: it was time to pivot.

So, I leaned into the fear. I canceled that retreat.

I spent months in the complete unknown with zero savings.

The how will I survive? panic was strong enough to make me want to actually shit my pants.

But here’s the psychological trap of those moments: panic literally blocks your brain’s ability to be resourceful.

When you are terrified, you are biologically incapable of seeing the solutions right in front of you.

A large, disappointed audience.

Sit with that for a second.

Think about a goal you worked so hard to reach. One that made total logical sense. One you ground and forced and performed your way toward. And when you finally got there… it just didn’t hit the way you thought it would.

The performance didn’t deliver.

That’s the mirror this New Moon is holding up.

This isn’t just an Aries story. Although Aries energy absolutely wants to win, wants to push, wants to be first. This New Moon is sitting with Chiron. And Chiron changes everything.

I’ve started so many businesses. Put enormous energy into things that made total sense on paper, that I was convinced were aligned, that I pushed hard for… and then I burned out and walked away.

Because I started them from fear. I wanted financial freedom. I didn’t want a nine to five. I wanted to prove something. I constructed something with my mind that I thought would get me there, and then my body eventually & inevitably said: absolutely not.

Five years ago I started learning about tantra.

Up until that point I had performed in sex my entire life. I couldn’t experience pleasure with a partner. I moved the way I thought you were supposed to move, faked what I thought I was supposed to feel, because somewhere along the line I decided that sex was something you gave to keep a relationship good.

When I started to actually come back to my body…. to slow down, to only respond when something in me genuinely opened… everything got harder before it got easier.

I knew there had to be a way to actually enjoy sex with my boyfriend.
