Mars will be in Aries from April 9, 2026 - May 17-18, 2026

We’re here to talk about the first week or so, as that’s going to be one of the most challenging periods.

ON A PERSONAL LEVEL:

The moment Mars enters Aries on April 9th, it forms a conjunction to Neptune for about a week.

This is going to be a VERY intense (and confusing) transit. I can just feel it.

Mars in Aries will spark a sense of courage within us to take ACTION.

We’ll have our torches lit, ready to rush into the unknown haziness of our dreams while only being able to clearly see a few feet in front of us. No matter, the courage will be there, so we won’t fear the fog.

On one hand, this is a good thing. It gives people who have been fearful of taking action the necessary bravery to finally leap.

On the other hand, it’s a set up for disaster... a set up for reckless (and even delusional) action with no plan.

I guess the moral of the story is: By all means, light your torch and run... but also be careful of running straight off a cliff.

ON A COLLECTIVE LEVEL:

This is functioning at a collective level because Neptune and Saturn have recently entered Aries.

These planets are not “personal” planets. They move at a much slower pace, impacting SOCIETY. Of course, on a personal level, we feel the reverberations of them too.

April will show us—very dramatically—what to expect from these two planets in the years ahead on a global scale. Think of April as Saturn and Neptune’s debut.

Remember when we said Neptune in Aries would make the collective romanticize the “warrior” archetype?

Remember when we said Saturn in Aries would bring karma to men in power and force us to understand masculine/yang energy?

Remember how we said Pluto in Aquarius would bring collective unrest and eventual rebellion?

I promise, I don’t say any of this to fear monger. I just like putting the pieces together astrologically. I’ve always felt that KNOWING is better than not knowing. At least you can navigate it better and have a deeper understanding of it at the energetic level.

I know it’s a very trying time right now. We absolutely WILL come together and make a change. I just think that unfortunately, in order to get people to move, they have to get VERY uncomfortable.

That’s just human nature.

We adapt, and adapt, and adapt, and survive, and survive, until the only thing we have left is our FIGHT.

Dear Saturn in Aries native, you have anger issues.

Your anger comes from suppressing your fire. It sounds bizarre, but when you hold your fire BACK, it actually makes you MORE fiery.

Let me explain.

Saturn is the planet of restriction. Aries is the sign of bold self-hood.

In a simple and literal manifestation, you suppress YOURSELF. You suppress your very identity. You fear being too much… too spirited… too combative. You fear scaring people away, so instead of being yourself, you project only certain parts of you. I get it. You assume that if you blaze to your heart’s desire, you’ll burn everyone in the process.

You have to think about where this stems from in the first place.

When did you first feel that you were too much? too dominant? too scary? When did you first piss someone off just by speaking your truth? When did you first feel ashamed of just being yourself? When did you learn to suppress your anger because it was too terrifying?

Because of an early experience that made you fear burning others, you learn to snuff your flame. Sure, right before it fully goes out, you blow on it a bit. But once it starts climbing too high, you start panicking—looking around to see if anyone is noticing how tall it’s growing before patting it out. You feel safer when no one sees the passionate part of you, but deep down, you WISH they would. This can create an immense amount of inner frustration.

With Saturn in Aries, many unique parts of your personality are hidden behind the surface of your strong exterior. You probably have passions others don’t even know about. What’s even more isolating is that others don’t realize it. You pick the easier version of Aries energy instead, coming across as brash, tough, and confident even when you don’t actually feel that way. It can be easier to come across as this combative, unshakeable person than to truly share who you are.

The more you repress your own passion, the more it shows up as anger issues. The fire needs SOMEWHERE to go. If it isn’t being directed healthily, it’s going to build up within you. You’ll be on edge, jealous of others, competitive, and combative.

You will feel MUCH calmer when you channel your passion INTO something and do what you ACTUALLY want to do. You will heal when you realize that in order to be the trailblazer you know you can be, you have to take action, take risks, and go FIRST. That takes responsibility.

Your Saturn Return is going to be very freeing because it will help you recognize the pattern of self suppression and stop doing it. When you recognize this, you’ll finally be able to step into an identity that feels truly aligned. It’s going to take some lessons and a lot of work, but by the end of your Saturn Return, you’re going to be the coolest fucking person.

You’ve probably heard Chiron (⚷) called the wounded healer asteroid.

When I do birth chart readings, I tend to explain Chiron like this:

Chiron shows where you have deep wounds, insecurities, and shame that usually stem from early life experiences. Through accepting and healing these wounds, you can transmute them into wisdom, using them to heal others.

Chiron is why we see people who grew up thinking there was something wrong with their mind becoming the best writers. It’s why we see people who grew up fearing the spotlight become the greatest entertainers. It’s why we see people who felt they had no guidance becoming the guidance for others. It’s why we see people who were manipulated, betrayed, and abandoned becoming the most effective healers.

CHIRON’S ORIGIN STORY

Now comes my favorite part of all astrology knowledge… THE WHY.

WHY is Chiron even called the “wounded healer” in the first place?

I truly think understanding the origins can help paint a much deeper picture for you.

THE STORY:

Chiron was the son of Kronos (Saturn) and Philyra (a water nymph). The relationship between his parents marked the beginning of his turmoil. They didn’t love each other in the slightest.

Kronos desperately wanted to mate with Philyra.

Philyra desperately avoided mating with Kronos.

She felt so strongly against it that she turned herself into a mare to hide herself. He was stubborn though, so he did the same. He turned himself into a horse and mated with her.

The crafty bastard had another reason for turning into a mare too. He was hiding from his WIFE!

Chiron hadn’t even been born yet and the wounds were already forming. Take note of this. Your own Chiron wound usually shows up early in life, in childhood. Your parents have their own wounds… their own tragedies… their own shame. When you are brought into their world with all their pain floating around, you end up experiencing it as well. Sure, you might experience it differently, but that is what makes the pain uniquely yours. Your family can very well be the origin of your Chiron wound. This is why I say your Chiron story starts before you are born.

After the tragic pregnancy, Chiron was brought into the world. He was a half man-half horse demigod, and to his mother, an abomination. Looked upon as a monster by his own mother, Chiron was abandoned.

Not only was he unwanted, he was also shamed for existing. Philyra would rather be turned into a tree than bear the sight of what she had created... and that’s exactly what happened. This theme of rejection runs throughout Chiron’s troubled childhood.

When you look to Chiron in your own chart, you can see that it is often traced back to a feeling of rejection in your youth… to talents, wants, dreams, or parts of your personality that were not accepted. This can make you feel unwanted (just like Chiron). When you feel ashamed of these parts of yourself, you fear putting them out there.

After being abandoned by his parents, Chiron was found and taken under the wing of Apollo, The God of Enlightenment. Apollo taught Chiron healing arts, prophecy, music, and hunting. He became a very cultured person. Instead of identifying with his wounded past, he used it as a resource to become stronger. He was even known as the wisest amongst all Centaurs, becoming a sought-after tutor for Jason, Hercules, Asklepios, and Achilles.

His story is a perfect example of how the wisest people you meet have usually been through the most painful experiences.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

You can do the same.

Through your Chiron wound, you can take the pain you’ve endured and transmute it into knowledge.

You have to know that like Chiron, your wound is not your fault. There was nothing you did to deserve it. That doesn’t mean you should stay in victim mode though. It means you should learn to wield your wound as a weapon… or maybe learn to use your wound as medicine to heal another.

While this wound stays with you for life, that doesn’t mean is stays with you and continues to hurt. Sure, every now and then, you’ll be triggered, and those old wounds will creep up, causing your chest to tighten. Your goal is for that sensation to become a reminder of all the wisdom you have accumulated through healing.

CHECKING FOR BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE

In my last post about the month of April, I said:

“For the people who have been giving too much energy to others without worrying about themselves, this month will bring a much needed wake-up call. I can definitely see people leaving relationships, jobs, living situations, and life paths that are just NOT aligned with them anymore. If you have to sacrifice your sense of self for it, it’s gotta go.”

That is a VERY important concept for this Libra Full Moon.

We have to take a moment to check for balance in our lives, and if things are unbalanced, we have to rework them to gain harmony.

Have you been giving too much energy to one area of your life and neglecting another? Have you been utterly consumed with something or someone? so much so that you have lost yourself in the process? Have you been so obsessed with yourself that you have neglected the people you love? Where is your life lacking balance right now?

Because the Libra Full Moon opposes Saturn and Neptune in Aries, there is a theme of fighting for peace… fighting for balance… fighting for harmony. I know, that sounds a bit confusing. This is a lesson I ALWAYS tell my Libra clients though. Sometimes, in order to gain peace, you have to go to war. Sometimes, in order to balance both sides, you have to knock over the entire scale and start over. Don’t be afraid to do that.

Where You Need Balance (Based on Rising Sign):

Aries + Libra Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the energy you give to yourself with the energy you give to relationships. You cannot completely lose yourself in relationships. You also cannot completely neglect relationships while you focus on your own goals. There needs to be balance here. You absolutely CAN go after your own passions and still connect with other people. You just have to set the necessary boundaries. You have to retain your sense of self in relationships no matter what.

Taurus + Scorpio Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the energy you give to your daily life, work, and routines with the energy you give to your inner world, mental health, and spirituality. You cannot disappear into your own little world for so long that you escape there and get nothing accomplished. You also cannot work your ass off so much that you neglect your mental health. Whether you need to get your shit together on the physical plane or retreat into your own world to process and do some healing, you have to be careful of being extreme in either. The mind-body connection is very important with this Full Moon. BALANCE.

Gemini + Sagittarius Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the way you fit into society with the way you stand out. How are you going to find your people if you are not being your true self? How are you going to be your true self if you are afraid of standing out? You can express yourself beautifully, be yourself, and lean into your own innate talents… but not so much that you isolate yourself from the world and become too self-focused. At the same time, you can connect with others and find your tribe, but not at the cost of your own individuality. This Full Moon asks you to find the balance between self and others when it comes to social circles. This can be a great Full Moon for understanding how your passions, talents, and hobbies fit into your self expression in the collective.

Cancer + Capricorn Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the energy you give to your emotional world, family, and home life with the energy you give to your career, success, and reputation. Work-life balance is of the utmost importance. Have you been giving too much energy to your inner world and retreating from responsibilities? Or have your responsibilities kept you from nurturing your inner world? You might have to let go of the past in order to reach the future you crave. You might have to pull from your past… where you’ve been… and your own inner experiences in order to take you to the next level professionally. This is a great Full Moon to contemplate where you want to be in five years (professionally and personally). Think about the parts of you that have to go in order to reach that.

Leo + Aquarius Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the energy you give to your immediate environment with the energy you give to your grand adventures. Has your close inner circle been keeping you from expanding and finding your own way? Or has finding your own way kept you from connecting with others? Are you as good of a listener as you are a teacher? This Full Moon wants you to find the balance between student and teacher. You are never only meant to be one. Maybe you are spending too much time learning about the facts, figures, and data points. Maybe you are spending too much time learning about broad concepts, exploring, and being super philosophical. Do you need to come back down to earth with your learning and focus on the facts? Or do you need to expand your mind and see things from a higher perspective? This is a great Full Moon for diving into your communication patterns, belief systems, and learning experiences.

Virgo + Pisces Risings: your task this Libra Full Moon is to balance the energy you give to your physical, material world with the energy you give to your internal, psychological world. This is time to balance your inner resources with your outer resources. Your inner resources are things like your mental strength, your deep connections with others, and your psychological fortitude. Your outer resources are things like your money, possessions, and physical body. Have you been giving too much energy to either side? Have you been so lost in intense experiences that you have forgotten to take care of your own body? Have you been so obsessed with money and creating a life of comfort that you have forgotten about the deeper pleasures life has to offer? This is a good Full Moon to think about relationships where you share resources much deeper, setting boundaries and standards within them. This is also a good time to think about your relationship with money.

The Importance of Boundaries

Since this Full Moon is happening at the very beginning of the month, I would take advantage to set some boundaries for April. Believe me, if you don’t set boundaries, you’re going to burn yourself out.

Boundaries are essential. When you have boundaries, you set the tone for how your life functions. You set the tone for the treatment you will accept from others (and the treatment you won’t accept). Boundaries allow you to outline your life and live it the way YOU want. Boundaries create a sense of fairness in your life.

While your boundaries are important, so are everyone else’s. Remember that. This Full Moon is great for creating win/win situations, making deals, negotiating, and finding middle ground.

Since April is going to have a massive Aries Stellium lighting up one house of your birth chart, you need to make sure you are giving JUST as much energy to the house on the opposite side (the house Libra occupies). This is how you are going to get through April without burning yourself out in the house you have Aries.

Creating a Beautiful Existence

Libra, being ruled by Venus, has a lot to do with creating peace and beauty around us. You may feel the need to do the same this Full Moon, tidying things up, making things look nicer, putting on some nice clothes, getting ready, or buying something cute from the store. You want things to appear AND feel luxurious. Luxury doesn’t always mean more money though. You have to find ways to make your life luxurious regardless of how much you have. Self care is KEY.

If you exist on the astrological side of the internet, you’ve probably seen a number of posts about the massive Aries Stellium gracing the skies in April.

I’m going to help you use it to your advantage.

I’ve always believed that energy is neither ONLY positive nor ONLY negative. All energies in astrology (planets, signs, houses, aspects) have positive and negative manifestations. When you know BOTH, you can recognize when the negative is occurring and give the energy a healthier outlet by leaning into the positive. That’s what we’re going to do with April’s Aries Stellium.

Before we get into that though, I want you to grasp just how intense this thing is by looking at the Aries New Moon chart in mid-April:

That’s a lot of Martian energy. What does that actually mean for the collective and what does it mean for us individually though?

It means we’re going to be FIRED UP. The collective is going to be pulsing with more energy than it knows how to handle. People will want to MOVE QUICKLY, so if anything or anyone slows them down, they will lash out.

Selfishness isn’t always a bad thing. For the people who have been giving too much energy to others without worrying about themselves, this month will bring a much needed wake-up call. I can definitely see people leaving relationships, jobs, living situations, and life paths that are just NOT aligned with them anymore. If you have to sacrifice your sense of self for it, it’s gotta go.

Aries season is the FIRST season of the zodiac. It survives and thrives by doing things without prior experience. Aries has no predecessor, so it has to learn everything by itself. That requires strength, ingenuity, and bravery. It requires a sense of GRIT. Doing something without a blueprint to follow is scary, but it also allows you to create your OWN way. That’s the name of the game in April. You have to be courageous and take the first step, even if the path is foggy and you don’t know what lies ahead. We cannot forget that Mars (the planetary ruler of Aries) is the god of war. You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve seen the gas prices. You’ve felt the unease in the air. There will definitely be some advancements on the war front. Aries energy is the WARRIOR, and as I’ve said before, Neptune in Aries will make the collective romanticize the warrior archetype. That usually happens in times of war. Martian energy is yang/masculine energy. It wants to fight, conquer, lead, and be the BEST. It is also connected to violence. With so much of this in the sky, you can only imagine the actions people in power will take. While I am on the topic, anyone who identifies as a male will also have a very intense April, as they grapple with what it actually means to live in their masculinity.

The best thing YOU can do is focus on what YOU can control. This is a very self-focused month. Use that to your advantage.

I truly think everyone comes to us for a reason. As an Astrologer, I KNOW everyone activates a different part of our charts. That can be a beautiful, triggering, or empowering thing.
