Working out of a small budget, yet remaining committed to providing free access to our resources, ScoliPoly has often struggled to balance the needs of scoliotic community members with our financial limitations. What our grantee is saying: “At Vesna Biotech, we are developing the first continuous glucose monitoring device entirely made in North Africa. In the region, the diabetic community still relies on traditional glucometers to monitor their condition. Those devices that are painful, invasive, inconvenient, and time-consuming. Our device, the Vesna-100, aims to make their lives significantly easier and better.
We’ve already developed a fully functional hardware MVP and an early prototype of our app. However, due to limited financial resources, we had to pause our work to focus on raising funds in order to complete the final phase of development and integrate AI features. This grant came at the perfect moment, combined with what we had already raised, we now have the resources needed for our next development sprints. That means we can finally resume work and bring this innovation closer to the people who need it most. This recognition from the Awesome Foundation is more than just funding—it’s a powerful encouragement to keep going. I’m grateful, and so is the whole team.”
