Sometimes a case hits the news, and you don’t feel compelled to engage any more deeply than the headlines, talking heads, influencers, and sound bites allow.

It’s a busy, chaotic world. Not everyone has time to learn the ins and outs of complex criminal cases, such as those involving Tyler Robinson or David “D4vd” Anthony Burke.

But it is always surprising when you push just slightly beyond the headlines and discover that the portrait painted by those topline takeaways is actually a disturbing distortion of the truth.

When that happens, it often reveals something about the true nature of the case. Something ROTTEN.

Tonight, Poolhouse touches down on two very different but spiritually aligned cases. The murder of Charlie Kirk and the murder and mutilation of Celeste Rivas Hernandez could hardly be more divergent in their circumstances. However, it is not merely notoriety that links the recent preliminary proceedings involving the two cases. There is also something deeply troubling about the way public relations and media propaganda have been deployed to manufacture public perception.

In the case involving Burke, we have lies by omission. An entire cast of characters who may have enabled the circumstances leading up to the death of 14-year-old Hernandez has been carefully obscured from the reporting.

In the case involving Robinson, we have outright misrepresentations of what was actually shown in the courtroom.

In both cases, Poolhouse attempts to demonstrate what can be learned by analyzing the methods through which these two tragic stories are being spun for public consumption.

Technically, I am off Takes at the moment. But sometimes Opportunity knocks.

A friend of mine from The Agency (CIA? Fight.Agency? Barbizon? I will never tell) called me up this afternoon and asked me for my Take on the Platner Thing.

“You mean the Platner QUESTION?” I grinned. “What about it?”

“Poolhouse, I just know you’ll have… a take like none other,” she said. “If you were advising the campaign, what kinds of defenses would you be workshopping right now?”

“Now listen here, madame,” I replied. You should always rely on mid-Atlantic accents when you find yourself in a situation with spooks like this. “Before I go and give you free advice, just cuz you did me a favor that one time with whole the J6 charges thing, why don’t you answer me this: you have access to some of the best and brightest political minds in the country up there in the District Metro Area. Why are you calling me for this?”

She groaned. “The best and brightest are all retards now, Poolhouse. You know this.” I heard her light her cigarette, Marlboro Ultra Lights 100s if I had to guess, and take a drag. “Nobody can extract the Contrarian Take quite like you, or as fast as you do. Come on, do it for your country.”

I had no idea what she meant by that, but I tend to resort to default patriotism in these situations. I assume the drive to replace Susan Collins has something to do with Deep Magic warfare, but that’s none of my business. I am a simple American, eager to serve!

I began to unveil my white-hot nuclear takes, gigachad galaxy-brain levels of contrarianism, but my friend paused me.

“No, don’t tell me. You and I never spoke,” she cackled. “I literally do not know you, girl! You are nobody to me. Nothing.”

“Okay, okay, I get your point, gosh–”

“Don’t tell me,” she hissed again. “Tell them!” And then my Deep State gal pal hung up the phone.

But by Them, I knew that she meant YOU, dear Backklashista, and assorted remote-viewing audience members and distinguished guest listeners!

In spring of 2025, Poolhouse and his dear mutual Crypp, aka cryptid_papi, got together for one of them Very Special Episodes of HERE COMES THE BACKKLASH… you know, the kind that quietly shifts the entire landscape of the culture in the wake of the tremendous POOLQUAKE unleashed by its pure vibes alone. But this one was particularly special.

The combo of Poolie and Crypp speaking on the HQ, the homosex question, amounted to a simple but completely radical reorientation in perspective on male sexuality, at least when contrasted with the societal status quo. Men are sexual creatures, and they have sex with each other sometimes. This leads to various outcomes for various men’s lives, and can be contextualized in many different ways morally, religiously, and politically. But ultimately, by virtue of their nature, men are sexual creatures. And they sometimes have sex with each other!

The unflinching candor your boys demonstrated on this topic changed the energy on the subject for Western civilization, once and for all. And now they have reunited one year later, not so much to continue the conversation but to react to it, underscore it, and plumb new depths in the basic social and psychological thermodynamics that sustain a subtle, widespread repression of male sexuality worldwide throughout the ages.

San Francisco, CA — BACKKLASH Communications announces the release of Arctic Sunsplash, the debut full-length ice reggae project from DJ POOLHOUSE presents Jacquesques “Jah KK” Fröszt. Available June 21 on major streaming and download platforms, the album also arrives as a full visual experience, with visualizers for every song in the YouTube playlist edition.

Arctic Sunsplash is a 17-song album package (a 16 track song cycle, plus a bonus encore track). Across the record, DJ POOLHOUSE and his cybernetic auto-fictional icestafari alter ego Jacquesques “Jah KK” Fröszt open a musical portal to a frozen tropical world of digital dub, lovers rock, dancehall, ska, electro-pop, disco, trip-hop, garage, rave-ragga, sea-shanty camp, and machine-age pop ritual.

Ice reggae is the guiding language: a musical mythology that brings the Arctic to the tropics and the tropics to the Arctic. At its center is the union of contradiction: ice and heat, dub and pop, machine and heart, sadness and dance, body and spirit, black and white, sacred and absurd.

“Arctic Sunsplash is a love letter for, by, and from the invincible summer of my heart,” says DJ POOLHOUSE. “It’s a ceremonial pop-art ritual, an esoteric sound-system excursion, and the actual coordinates to a realm located on the plane of the creative imaginary. I used the tools available to me to translate what was written inside my heart and reflect it back into the world. That’s art.”

The album is also a deliberate machine-art project. Synthetic tools, including AI-generated vocals, beats, and visual elements, were used in its creation, but always in service of a larger artistic vision: a full pop-dub universe composed, directed, edited, sequenced, and mythologized by DJ POOLHOUSE.

“This is what I call machine art,” says DJ POOLHOUSE. “Yes, AI tools were part of the process. But the album and its visual companions were created from my heart. The technology helped me bring a musical vision to life beyond the means previously available to me. I’m happy to discuss the techniques and methods behind the record, but first I ask listeners to consider it as a work of dance pop, as a love letter to Jamaican studio science, and as an experiment in whether so-called ‘AI music’ can be pushed beyond the designation of slop.”

The album was created through a hybrid process: original demos, loops, melodies, lyrics, and vocal ideas were composed into a corpus of demonstration recordings, then brought into generative tools, reworked, edited, spliced, extended, and massaged into full LP mixes. The end result is Arctic Sunsplash, a landmark sonic recording that treats the machine — in the form of the studio, synthetic sound, dub chambers, and AI workspaces — as a technical collaborator.

“Pop music only exists because of the instruments of modern technology that allow it to be recorded, distributed, and produced,” says DJ POOLHOUSE. “All pop music is electronic music in the sense that it proliferates through technological mediums. Voices go through machines. Guitars go through machines. Samples, synthesizers, drum machines, DAWs, compressors, tape, mastering chains — this is already the language of modern music. My process is legitimate. I made strong demos, brought them into the machine, directed the performances, built the tracks, edited the takes, and made the album I first heard and saw inside myself.”

Poolhouse’s ice reggae concept is part retconned genre, part theoretical pop praxis. Its thesis is simple: Jamaican studio technique — dub science — sits at the heart of contemporary pop music. From disco to rap to house to EDM, the aftershocks of dub have shaped the very manner in which modern music gets made. “Ice reggae” celebrates the occulted Jamaican roots latent within modern pop forms, while also describing what Poolhouse calls “non-domestically produced Jamaican styles,” or, more simply, “when pop goes reggae.”

Poolhouse traces the term linguistically to the 1990s, citing Ace of Base and their reputed description of their own blue-eyed reggae-pop style as “China reggae,” presumably meaning a kind of knockoff or foreign-made reggae variant. Arctic Sunsplash embraces that strange lineage and refracts it through dub, dancehall, lovers rock, ska, electro-pop, rave, visual art, and machine production.

“This is an ice reggae record, not a reggae record,” says Poolhouse. “In many ways, each song is a jumping-off point for its own mutant variant on dub.”

That eclecticism becomes immediately apparent with “SNORKELVISION,” a mystical disco-dub initiation in which the sacred snorkel mask reveals the Arctic Sunsplash world. From there, “FREEZIN’” leans into an electro-pop, hip-hop, and neo-lovers-rock hybrid, a sound further explored on cuts like “THE DUB I HAD” and “BACKK IN2 UR LOVE.” “ICYY HOTT” ignites a frenetic breakbeat rave-ragga frozen dancefloor inferno, “BELSHAZZAR” offers a synth-drenched throwback to mid-century calypso and vintage Jamaican forms, while “ANGELS IN FLIP FLOPS” connects gloomy goth, haunted surf atmosphere, and a sinister beach-town mythology back to dubwise roots.

By the time the album enters its dance-oriented second half, it travels from the dancehalltronic, KLF-inspired megabop “TOWER BABELTR0N (TAKE ME)” to the angular high-NRG stomp of “POLAR BEACH” and the delirious gay rasta disco-dub sea shanty romp “BIMINI BITCH.”

While the record moves through many styles, it remains anchored by themes of the creative imaginary, mystical encounters with the unknown, the uniting or synthesizing of opposites, celebrations of creation’s splendor, ritual devotion to the cosmic order, and the intricate inner world of DJ POOLHOUSE — a self-identified Garbologyst, “high priest of the trash,” and Arctic dub commander.

Sonically, its course is charted by the influence of Jamaican sound-system culture and studio science. Dub, ska, dancehall, lovers rock, reggae-pop, and the aftershocks of Jamaican production run through the album, even when the sound veers into electro-pop, alt-rock, rave, or cinematic dance music.

The result is a maximal, melodic, infectious, highly engaging, and deeply strange pop album: a beach party at the edge of the world, a frozen lovers-rock mating ritual, a machine-assisted dub exegesis, and a visual-audio resort designed to host the imagination, built from ecstatic contradiction.
