I’m already in a bit of a fall fashion mood, even though I’m writing this while on a very blissful holiday filled with morning swims and days where I want to wear nothing but salty skin, wet hair, and an oversized button-down.

I think part of it is that I’m already thinking about that small window between summer and autumn when you can wear a coat with sandals. I love that combination and can’t wait for those few weeks when it actually makes sense.

There have been a few vintage misses lately, too. I found my absolute dream vintage Issey Miyake trench coat, something I had been searching for for a few years, only to be too slow and see it sell. Nothing haunts you quite like that. Then you start looking for something to fill the void, telling yourself you’re just looking for a replacement, and suddenly you’re deep into an obsessive search.

And that search resulted in my biggest edit yet: 101 pieces.

There are a few beautiful leather jackets, pieces from The Row and Céline by Phoebe Philo, vintage Prada, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, some special bags and an incredible Yves Saint Laurent velvet jacket that looks very similar to one Lee Radziwill wore. There are also plenty of pieces that I would happily add to my own wardrobe, especially for that transition into autumn. And yes, there are probably a few pieces here that I’m going to regret not buying myself.

I’ve been away for a little while.

There’s a certain pleasure in stepping away from the internet. You become an observer again, without feeling the need to participate. It’s surprisingly peaceful. I spent these past weeks simply being in the moment, taking photos without feeling the need to post them immediately, and I realised how much I enjoy having the experience first and sharing it later.

The only problem is that it gets comfortable. A little too comfortable.

I actually had this post sitting in my drafts for quite a while. My toxic trait is that I'm a perfectionist. I know everyone says that and it can sound like humble bragging, but for me it mostly means I'm always waiting for the perfect moment. The perfect introduction, the perfect sequence of photos, the perfect reason to post. I convince myself something needs to be just right before it's worth sharing.

More often than not, the moment passes. Then I overthink it, wonder if it's still relevant, and eventually realise the only way forward is to publish it anyway.

I think getting older has made me much better at understanding what I actually need…not just in my wardrobe, but in life. I enjoy collecting experiences, letting them settle for a while, and then coming back to them when I actually have something to say.

Which brings me to clothes. I've realised I shop in much the same way. I rarely buy something on impulse. I like to try things on, sit with the idea for a while, make mental lists, and figure out what I genuinely want to make room for in my wardrobe. So this newsletter is a little collection of things I've tried on, loved, bought, and a few pieces I'm still thinking about.

• The Celine Disc sunglasses have brought me an unreasonable amount of joy since I got them. The more I see Michael Rider's Celine, the more I want it. I love his vision. There are clear vintage references throughout the collections, but nothing feels costume-y or nostalgic for nostalgia's sake. He has a way of taking those influences and making them feel modern, effortless, and incredibly wearable.

• I’ve always loved a cropped pant. The pair I’m wearing in the image above is from The Row from a few seasons ago (these ones from COS are similar), and I finally decided to get this seasons The Row wool version after thinking about them for a while. I tried on many other pairs, but eventually realised these were exactly what I had been looking for. I love the way they move…so fluid, light, and comfortable. I know I’ll get a lot of wear of them, especially styled with ballet flats and loafers.

• For the last few months, I’ve been on a search for the perfect longsleeve. Does the perfect one even exist? I loved The Row Floris, but I couldn’t quite justify the price. I considered a few others, including this one from Leset and this one or this one from Flore Flore, and I also really liked this one from Arket. I ended up with this one from Christen which I discovered when I visited their store in Paris and immediately loved the quality. I was sold when I learned it’s made from Japanese cotton and produced on a rare vintage loop knitting machine. I’m already thinking about ordering the black version as well.

• These loafers have also been on heavy rotation. I love walking, so I’m always looking for shoes that are not only beautiful but actually comfortable enough to wear all day. These are incredibly soft and easy to walk in.

• I’ve been living in this cotton cashmere sweater and skirt combination. It’s incredibly soft and lightweight, perfect for the cooler summer evenings.

• The Row just dropped the first batch of the Fall collection and I immediately ordered these loafers and this grey cotton sweater. Very excited for these to arrive!

• There are always a few pieces that I miss and keep thinking about. I’m actually quite patient when it comes to these things…I like to believe that if something is meant to be mine, it will eventually find its way to me.

  The Row Pallenberg top in white was one of those pieces (available in black here). I had been searching for it for a while and was so happy when I finally found it in my size. I wore it to an event in Barcelona with my vintage Yohji Yamamoto skirt and The Row Signum heels.

Two of my favourite vintage finds lately have been this incredible antique velvet embroidered pouch and this vintage Alaïa python bag. I’m completely obsessed with the details on the pouch, the embroidery is so intricate and beautifully done. They truly don’t make things like this anymore.

The Alaïa bag will be such a beautiful piece for fall. I love how it adds texture and character to an outfit while still feeling timeless and easy to wear every day.

I only pulled this The Row jacket (also here) because I was curious to see it on, but it’s funny how some pieces grow on you. The more I think about it, the more I find myself imagining different ways to wear it. It’s classic and subtle. I’m wearing size 4.

These cotton bermuda shorts where high on my list. I loved the length, but I wasn’t quite sure about the drawstring. I’m wearing size 2. I love these from Flore Flore as a much lighter cotton alternative. Also loved the Liisa mules, thinking of getting them.

These pants were an immediate yes. They’re a cotton-cashmere blend, so they feel incredibly soft, and the colour is truly beautiful. Paired with a simple t-shirt, they make such an easy summer look. I’m wearing size 2.

The Row Galileo pants. The shape and the draping are just incredible. I’ve been trying to come up with reasons why I don’t need another pair of white trousers, but they’ve completely stayed with me since I tried them on. I’m wearing a size 2

I wasn’t planning to try this dress (and here) on at all because I wasn’t shopping for a dress, but the SA insisted. It’s one of those pieces that looks nice on the hanger and completely transforms when you put it on. The draping at the back is especially beautiful. I’m wearing a size 0.

I loved the Fay ballet flats. I was hoping I wouldn’t love them quite as much since I already have the Stellas, but they’re incredibly soft and fit like a glove. I wear my Stellas religiously, and these feel like a slightly chicer version.

I’ve been eyeing these pants (also here) ever since I saw the look book. They’re stunning in person, but because of all the draping they’re quite heavy. Definitely more of a special pair than an everyday one, but still incredibly beautiful.

This silk shantung shirt (also here) completely surprised me. None of the photos I’d seen online captured how beautiful the fabric is in person. I’m wearing a size 2 and loved it styled with the Fauna shorts. The fabric is surprisingly thick on the Fauna, which gives them a really beautiful structured shape. But, they felt more like a special occasion piece than something I’d wear every day. I kept trying to imagine where I’d actually wear them. I’m wearing a size 4 here.

I wasn’t expecting to fall this hard for a trench coat, but this Phoebe Philo one completely won me over. It’s water-repellent, which somehow makes it feel even more appealing…the chicest raincoat imaginable. It’s firmly on my wishlist for fall.

I tried the Phoebe Philo flip-flops and honestly didn’t expect them to be that comfortable. They only had a size smaller, and although they fit because they run a little big, I’d rather wait for my actual size. I’m currently waiting for the back in stock notification. I also tried this pair from The Row, which feels like a slightly more elevated version.

I have a soft spot for leather jackets, so I had to try this one on. I loved the high neck…it gives it a slightly sculptural feel than a classic leather jacket. Definitely one that made it onto my fall wishlist. I’m wearing size 34.

Will I regret leaving this Phoebe Philo silk top behind? I already am. I have a feeling it’s going to haunt me for a while. It’s just such a beautiful piece.

Another stop in Paris was the Christen boutique. If you’re not familiar with Nina Christen, she’s the designer behind some of the most iconic shoes from Céline during the Phoebe Philo era, The Row, Bottega Veneta, and Loewe and more. In 2024 she launched her own label Christen. I got to try a few pairs, and I was honestly surprised by how comfortable all of them were. These mules felt like walking on clouds because of the incredibly soft padding. These sandals are a great alternative to The Row Ella sandals, with a slightly wider fit, and I loved them just as much. They’re definitely high on my wishlist now. I also loved these thong sandals, the mesh sandals with a mid heel and the Edge T-Strap sandal with lizard effect in white. All of the shoes fit slightly small, so I recommend sizing up.

Another stop was Toteme. I had seen these white cropped pants in the window and was curious to try them on. I ended up loving them, they feel like a great alternative to The Row Faldra. Since I was already there, I was tempted by a few jackets for fall. I tried this one on and really liked how light it felt, which makes it perfect for that in-between weather. I also tried this utility jacket and these shorts, but they were slightly sheer and I wasn’t completely convinced by the length. This boatneck top, on the other hand, I loved immediately and that was the piece I ended up leaving with.

I tried this scoop-neck cotton dress and loved it. It will look even better with a bit of a tan. I then tried this jersey dress with a knot detail at the front, which was flattering on. I just wish it was slightly longer.

I bought these lace trimmed COS cotton shorts while looking for easy cotton shorts I could wear on vacation. I also loved these ones, more minimal, but I wish the shape was a little straighter rather than so wide. I also picked up these oversized drawstring pants. I love a barrel-leg shape. I also tried these ones, which were slightly lighter and had a straighter silhouette, but I already have a similar pair from last season.

Some things I’m considering on sale:

I actually think this is the best time to shop sale. We’re at the very end of the season, which means there are usually extra discounts on top of already reduced pieces, and some really good finds start appearing.

As much as I would love to say I’m done shopping, there are always a few open tabs and lingering wishlist items waiting in the background. So, naturally, I had to take a look.

This edit is all about summer dressing. With the heatwaves lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I actually want to wear when it’s too hot to layer.

I always find myself coming back to natural fabrics like silk, cotton, and linen. In summer, when layering isn’t really an option, the small details become even more important: a beautiful silhouette, an interesting texture, a special accessory.

I recently scored The Row Pallenberg top in white and The Row Aria top in black, which I had shared in one of my previous edits, and they really proved this point. When you find a piece with the right cut, it does all the work for you. You can wear it with almost anything, dress it up or down, and still feel put together without trying too hard. My vintage linen Yohji Yamamoto skirt has also been on heavy rotation for exactly that reason.

That same feeling shaped this edit. This is my biggest one yet: 97 pieces that were honestly so hard to resist. As always, there’s a strong presence of Céline by Phoebe Philo and The Row, alongside pieces from Prada, Hermès, Yohji Yamamoto, Alaïa, and more. I also included a few antique finds and some dresses after a few of you asked for wedding guest options this summer. There are some really beautiful ones here, along with leather jackets because I still can’t resist a good leather jacket, even in summer.

There’s my dream The Row python clutch, which I’m secretly hoping one of you gets so I can live vicariously through you, and an incredible antique embroidered kimono that feels like such a special piece.

I feel like the new collections don’t excite me the way they used to, and maybe part of it is the moment we’re living in. When everything is becoming more expensive and it’s harder and harder to earn money, the idea of spending it just to end up looking like everyone else suddenly feels a little absurd.

That’s probably why I love vintage shopping so much. It feels like a muscle you have to train. The more you look, the more your eye develops, and the more it nurtures your creativity. I also love when an outfit becomes a mix of old and new, and when someone asks where something is from, I can simply say, “it’s vintage.” There’s something satisfying in that. It adds a sense of care, like you actually thought about what you’re wearing and the feeling behind it.

I’ve also been very lucky with vintage lately. I should probably make a separate post with my recent finds because there have been some really special ones. The biggest score is definitely the cashmere Hermès by Margiela Vareuse jacket. I also found a divine vintage Giorgio Armani printed velvet jacket, a few silk scarves I already know I’ll wear all summer, and my dream white The Row Pallenberg top that I found preloved.

Without further ado, this might actually be my favorite edit to date. It’s also the biggest one so far, with 84 pieces sourced across all platforms, and honestly one of the hardest to narrow down because there were so many good finds this time. There are so many beautiful pieces in this one: supple leather jackets, silk coats that can be worn just as easily with jeans as with something more dressed up for evening, lots of silk scarves, some very special Hermès by Margiela pieces, vintage Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto, a few vintage exotic leather pieces, which I still think are some of the best investments you can make, and some special jewelry pieces that add just the right finishing touch.

A big part of the past months was spent living out of a suitcase, or more accurately, several suitcases. I ended up spending a few weeks in Paris in total, moving between places, traveling back and forth, and navigating different layers, moods, and somehow, all four seasons too.

So I thought I’d share a little recap of everything I’ve been loving lately. The pieces I actually wore on repeat, the things I’ve been lusting after, and some small observations I collected along the way.

There’s something about living out of a suitcase that sharpens your perspective on style. When your wardrobe is suddenly edited down to only what you can carry, you quickly realise what truly works for you, what you reach for instinctively, and just as importantly, what’s missing. I found myself making mental notes every time I craved a piece I didn’t own, an outfit combination that existed only in my head, or that one silhouette I wished I had packed.

Paris also gave us four seasons in a month. Just as I thought I could finally put my heavier layers away, the temperature dropped again. It reminded me how much I love great outerwear, and how often the right one becomes the entire outfit.

So here’s a roundup of what I wore, discovered, and added to my wishlist along the way.

What I’ve been loving:

Nour Hammour trench

The last thing I needed was another trench coat, but somehow this turned out to be the trench coat I was missing. The silhouette is perfect with a beautiful A-line shape that feels incredibly chic and effortless.

I originally had my eye on the Leins coat from The Row, and although I missed out on it, I have to say I actually prefer this one in terms of fit, proportions, and length. For sizing, I would recommend taking your usual size. I’m wearing a size S for reference. And if you’ve been considering it, don’t wait too long. They’ve just restocked it, and last time it sold out very quickly.

Khaite sunglasses

Another favorite that quickly became one of my most-worn pieces. These sold out almost instantly, and I completely understand why. The shape is incredibly flattering and somehow seems to suit everyone. The moment you put them on, you feel like you’ve stepped into a film by Federico Fellini.

One of my favorite ways to lift a look is with a scarf, either draped over the shoulders, wrapped around the neck, or tied around the waist. I love finding vintage pieces or designs that feel truly unique. My most worn ones lately have been this Fortuny white crinkled silk scarf, and a recent vintage Giorgio Armani silk fringed scarf in the most beautiful shade, somewhere between golden and mustard, almost impossible to pinpoint. I’m also eyeing this scarf from The Row.

The Row Estelle bag in tea color

I originally had my eye on the Estelle bag in brown and was searching for it on resale sites, but I’m so glad I ended up with this season’s version in Tea. The longer straps make it even more practical, and I love the color against my mostly black and neutral wardrobe. It feels like the perfect subtle pop for summer.

I’ve been wearing it constantly lately, it’s one of those easy, no-thinking-needed bags I take everywhere, from grocery runs to daily errands.

Just before Paris Fashion Week, I was at Preclothed trying on a few things and taking photos when I suddenly noticed in the mirror that Zoe Kravitz was standing right behind me. She was in a full black look and carrying The Row Estelle in Tea color, which had just quietly launched at retailers at the time, with no public images of her wearing it yet.

I immediately had that instinct that it would sell out once photos surfaced, so I ordered it straight away…it had actually already been sitting in my cart for a while. I’m really glad I did, because it’s become almost impossible to find since. It’s available here in larger size.

I was also quietly waiting for photos to surface of her wearing some of the pieces she picked up. And then, finally, I saw these images of her in London and immediately recognized the Hermès SS1999 anti-pluie trench by Martin Margiela. She wears it so well!

I love great classics. I’d been looking for the perfect long blazer for a while, something I could throw on when the temperatures get warmer and still feel put together, and this one has quickly become a favorite.

I’m wearing it here with an old shirt from The Row in the most perfect shade of grey, my black pants from Khaite (I’m wearing a US 6), the Liisa pumps from The Row, and my vintage Prada crocodile bag.

I love a leather bomber jacket, it’s a foundation of my spring wardrobe. A great jacket always does the heavy lifting, instantly making even your everyday pieces feel more considered.

I was drawn to this one because it has no zipper, which I often find visually distracting, especially when wearing it open (I’m wearing size 36 for your reference). I styled it here with a pencil skirt and my recently found Manolo Blahnik snakeskin sandals, a pair I’d been searching for in my size for quite some time. (I recently shared another pair in the Substack chat, and they were gone in seconds.)

What I lusted over:

A stop by The Row boutique in Paris is always mandatory. I tried on a few pieces, but my phone decided to die in the middle of it all, so I only managed to capture a few.

I instantly fell for this trench coat. The Row always does outerwear exceptionally well, especially their car coats. I tried on the Dayton and immediately loved it… but then came the inevitable question, do I really need another trench coat?

I also tried on the Gianni pants and honestly didn’t expect much, but ended up loving the fit. As always, it’s in the details, the slightly lower crotch gives them that relaxed, effortless proportion that makes all the difference.

Not pictured here, but I also tried these pants and loved how light they felt. I’m eyeing them for summer.

Now that The Row has started carrying vintage pieces, I couldn’t resist trying on this incredible vintage Christian Dior haute couture brocade coat, absolutely breathtaking in person.

This season’s Liisa pumps from The Row, which I couldn’t decide on, white or black. Of course, while I was debating, the white sold out, and now the black is becoming harder to find too. But I’m also loving the mules.

I tried on The Row Terrasse To-Go bag in brown and absolutely loved it. I love a small bag, and this one felt like a natural alternative to my The Row 90s bag, which I’ve worn heavily over the past years.

I especially love the long, thin handles, it just makes it such a chic bag. The leather is very soft, the bag is incredibly lightweight and it sits perfectly on the shoulder. In the end, I decided to get it in black, and luckily managed to snap it up the moment the restock notification came through. It’s now on its way to me. I also loved this top handle version.

I stopped by Totême because I’d been curious to try this white satin trench coat ever since I saw it on the SS26 runway, and I absolutely loved it. I’m still thinking about it, and admittedly coming up with far too many reasons in my head why I might need it. I especially loved the raw edges. This maxi dress feels like a beautiful alternative. I’d wear it open and unbuttoned, almost like a light coat.

I tried on these patent ballet flats, but sadly they didn’t have my size in store. I may have to order them online and see how they fit. I’ve also been considering this pair from Soeur, so I’ll have to decide between the two.

I ended up leaving with this trench coat. I was drawn to the deeper brown tone, it looks so much richer in person than it ever did in the photos online.

I couldn’t miss the newly opened Christen store in Paris. If you’re not familiar with Nina Christen, she worked at Céline during the Phoebe Philo years, and went on to design shoes for Loewe, Bottega Veneta, The Row, and Dior, quietly shaping some of the most beautiful shoes behind the scenes. She launched her brand over a year ago and has recently opened a store in Paris. I’ve often featured her shoes in my curated wishlists and I’m glad I finally got to try the styles, the quality is impeccable. I’m currently eyeing these leather loafers and the beige calf hair mules, and these sandals that are currently sold out.

One of my favorite places in Paris, OGATA Paris always feels like a little oasis the moment you step inside.

This time I noticed these beautiful hand-woven Japanese baskets, and now I can’t stop thinking about owning one and carrying it the Jane Birkin way.

I’ve always loved April for vintage shopping. Everyone is clearing out their closets, making space for a new season, and suddenly there are so many beautiful pieces to discover. It actually made me realize I should probably do the same.

As always, there’s a lot of Céline by Phoebe Philo in this edit, quite a few pieces from The Row, and also a good amount of 90s Jil Sander. This one came together quite naturally. It’s mostly pieces I kept saving and going back to, and a few I had to talk myself out of buying.

There’s a caftan from my favorite Céline SS18 collection that I really hope one of you ends up with, it’s such a special piece. Dream cashmere coat from Phoebe Philo, timeless! There’s also a Saint Laurent velvet coat I keep coming back to, one of those pieces that’s hard to resist, and a 90s Prada satin bag that I’m convinced was the inspiration behind The Row Cecily.

I’m always drawn to pieces like these, the ones that stay on your mind a little longer.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about style, especially with the renewed interest around Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and the whole “Love Story” narrative. It’s been fascinating to see so many people discovering her for the first time. At the same time, I feel like I’ve been bombarded with posts trying to turn her style into a formula, something you can easily replicate.

But that’s exactly what it isn’t.

To me, taste has never been about rules or bullet points. It takes time, attention, and a certain sensitivity. If it’s imitation, it starts to feel like a costume. I think we’re so used to instant answers now, people are constantly looking for shortcuts, as if good style had a cheat code. But the kind of style that really stays with you is built slowly.

What I find most compelling about her style is the restraint. She didn’t have an endless wardrobe. She chose carefully, repeated pieces, and combined them in a way that felt natural.

That’s what I find most inspiring, that sense of balance. Knowing when to keep things simple and when to add something that gives the look depth. It’s something I’m still learning myself, trusting fewer, better pieces and letting them speak. Ultimately, it all comes down to the right proportions and the right fit.

That way of thinking is reflected in this edit. As always, I’ve focused on vintage and preloved pieces that feel considered, versatile, and full of character, pieces you can build around.

There were a few pieces in this edit that were genuinely hard for me not to buy. I’m so glad I can share them with you instead, because somehow the thought of one of you giving them a new life makes it easier to let them go. I especially hope someone gets the Yohji Yamamoto green jacket. It’s such a beautiful, soulful piece. And the iconic Céline by Phoebe Philo 2017 cutout coat… that one really tested my self-control.

I really believe that in 2026 we’re moving toward a more personalized way of dressing. A move away from conformity and toward individuality. In a sea of same-same content, distinctive taste and real character won’t be copied, they’ll be sought out and built slowly. I especially love seeing vintage pieces mixed with modern ones, or wearing something from last season that still feels fresh. It’s those lived-in details that make a look feel personal without trying too hard.

As usual, there’s a strong presence of Céline by Phoebe Philo, some pieces from The Row, along with beautiful outerwear, including a 1980s Christian Dior coat that I hope one of you snags and sends me pictures of, timeless leather jackets (the best ones are almost always vintage), some cashmere knits and accessories that instantly elevate an outfit. I’ve also included some fur pieces. While fur is trending right now, I’ll always advocate for vintage or recycled options. And of course, there were a few that got away. The ones I hesitated on, the ones someone else bought first. Those still haunt me a little, but that’s part of the magic. You never forget the pieces you didn’t buy. The longing, the regret, the “what if” all become part of your education. They refine your taste just as much as the pieces you do end up owning.

Vintage buying is an incredible tool in that way. It teaches patience. It rewards curiosity. It forces you to slow down and decide what truly matters to you. It’s not about instant gratification. It’s about waiting for the right thing, at the right moment.

Buying vintage has been for me a way to sharpen my eye, develop my taste, and build a wardrobe that feels deeply personal. Vintage taught me how to choose pieces not because they are trending, but because they resonate, because they make sense for me.

That obsession is ultimately what led me to start this newsletter. I wanted a space to share the thrill of the hunt, the satisfaction of finding something special, and the idea that great style is built slowly, thoughtfully, and often off the beaten path.

So I wanted to share my top 10 vintage and preloved finds of 2025. Pieces I wear often, pieces that still excite me every time I reach for them, pieces that feel like they’ll stay with me for a very long time.

Starting off strong with these Jil Sander sandals from SS2003 that I scored for €30. I found them on Vinted and genuinely couldn’t believe my luck. They had just been uploaded, and I hit buy immediately. I really believe in visualization when it comes to vintage shopping. When you know exactly what you’re looking for, the right piece somehow finds its way to you.

One of my favorite finds ever, an Azzedine Alaïa AW1987 military-style jacket. I first saw it years ago at the Fondation Alaïa, and it stayed with me. I’d been searching for it ever since, but it was always priced outrageously, which makes sense given how iconic it is. I kept my notifications on for Vestiaire, and one day it finally popped up. I messaged the seller right away and realized she was a friend of a friend. We connected, and she ended up selling it to me directly, which meant avoiding extra fees and getting it at a very reasonable price.

Hermès Rio lizard clutch. Another late-night Vestiaire scroll that truly paid off. I’d been on the hunt for an exotic leather clutch for a while, specifically in a lighter shade since most of my bags are black. When this one appeared, it immediately clicked. The buttery color is perfect, and the price was incredibly good, especially for lizard. I’ve learned that with Vestiaire, timing and patience are everything. Either you catch a great piece right after it’s been uploaded, or you favorite it, wait it out, and slowly negotiate with the seller until the price feels right.

Hermès by Martin Margiela suede coat from SS2002. This one is truly one for the books, and I still can’t quite believe it’s mine.

Has it been on your wishlist or in your saved folder, or is it a sudden impulse?

5. Does it suit my real style?
Not your fantasy self, but the way you actually dress week to week.

6. Does it support the direction I want my wardrobe to go?
Think: future you, your evolving aesthetic, your lifestyle.

7. Will this make my life easier, more comfortable, or more elevated?
A purchase should add value, not create extra decisions.

8. Am I drawn to the item or to the discount?
A “deal” only matters if you’d want the piece anyway

For me, fall is all about texture and contrast. I love the idea of pairing a heavy coat with a silk dress or skirt, or mixing something structured with something soft. Those kinds of contrasts always make an outfit feel more interesting and effortless. I think I’ve said this before, but shopping vintage is such a good way to learn more about your own style and taste. When you’re not buying something just because it’s trendy or new, you start to look at pieces differently.

This edit has quite a bit of outerwear, because in the colder months your coat really becomes the outfit. I’ve also included beautiful accessories and those special vintage pieces that instantly add character. I couldn’t stop thinking about the hair at The Row SS26, which sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole into the world of vintage hair pins and combs. That kind of styling has stayed with me. And I especially loved The Row SS 2025 styling with lace just barely peeking out from underneath. It felt like a quiet nod to that same energy, effortless and a little unexpected.

For me, it’s become one of those styling tricks I always come back to, the easiest way to add something interesting to an otherwise simple look. Below are a few of my favorite ways I’ve styled it.

Styling notes:
I love lace most when it’s paired with something that grounds it, a slouchy knit, a leather jacket, layered on t-shirts etc. In the summer, wear it on its own: a camisole with wide-leg trousers, a slip dress with flat sandals, or layered over a t-shirt. Or flip it and try a tee over a lace-trim slip, letting just the trim peek through. As we edge into fall, it becomes even more interesting:

• Layered under oversized coats or chunky knits

• Peeking out beneath a structured blazer

• Paired with soft tailoring or tough leather

• Styled with boots, masculine shoes, delicate flats, or canvas sneakers (like in that old Céline campaign)

The key to making it feel modern (and not too “done”) is in the contrast. Proportion play is everything, a sharp blazer tempers the softness, and a pair of boots, or flip-flop makes it feel effortless rather than styled. That tension between soft and structured is what keeps it from feeling too predictable.

The key for me is contrast, anything that keeps it feeling lived-in and not overly styled. I always come back to those early Céline looks with lace and Chelsea boots. They had that perfect tension.

That said, I did love Michael Rider’s debut at Céline. It was one of the rare moments that felt fresh and aligned with the house’s DNA. Naturally, this will likely drive up demand for Phoebe Philo’s era at Céline, which continues to be one of the most collectible and wearable archives out there. This week’s edit, as always, leans heavily on Céline by Phoebe Philo, a constant in both my wardrobe and my wishlists. On that note, I’ve noticed a concerning rise in fakes lately, especially when it comes to Phoebe-era Céline and pieces from The Row. Please be extra careful when shopping these labels secondhand.

With every selection I share, I always aim to find the best pieces and the best deals, items that are genuinely worth the price. While I’m not a professional authenticator, I do my best to vet each item through photos, stitching details and tags to ensure they’re the real deal.

There is a lot of beauty and joy to be found in preloved fashion. It just takes a bit of digging and discernment.
