The noose was already swinging in the cold morning wind when the executioner tightened the knot around the young man’s neck. In the front row of the jeering crowd stood his mother, sobbing, clutching her chest as if she were the victim. He looked at her through hollow, exhausted eyes; it wasn't remorse, but a pure, simmering rage. With his final breath, he signaled her to come close, asking for one last whisper before the trapdoor dropped. She rushed forward, weeping into his collar. He leaned in, clamped his teeth onto her ear, and tore it clean off. As the crowd shrieked in horror and blood spilled over her fingers, he spat out the flesh and looked her dead in the eye: "If you hadn't patted me on the back the first time I brought home blood on my hands, I wouldn't be standing here waiting to die."

The Weeping Mother at the Gallows

Watching from a distance, you already have your verdict. You saw the ear come off in his teeth, saw the blood on her collar, and judged him instantly and viciously, with the particular righteousness reserved for those who arrive at the very last scene of a very long story. How dare he, you thought. She raised him. She fed him, rocked him, wept for him his whole life, and this is how he repays her, with violence, at the very last second he had to be human.

That’s the thing about watching from the outside. We think we understand the whole story because we caught its final frame. We do this in our own lives, judging a marriage by one overheard fight, a friendship by one bitter text, and deciding we know a person’s entire history from the thirty seconds we happened to witness. We do it in politics with even less humility, forming an opinion in the time it takes to scroll past a photograph, certain we’ve grasped decades of nuance, grief, and complicity in a single glance.

That's the story I'm about to tell you. A story about guilt, about suffering, and about love, or the thing so many people mistake for it. Who is responsible for that boy's suffering? The same one responsible for the suffering of the people who call themselves Palestinians. This isn't going to be another geopolitical piece walking you through how Qatar and Iran use them as currency, or how Egypt seals its border to aid while quietly waving weapons through tunnels beneath it. That's not this. This is something else entirely, sharper, and far less comfortable. This is a story about guilt dressed in love's clothing, about what that boy understood in the last seconds before he died, and what most of the world still refuses to see about who truly bears responsibility for the suffering of a people who were never once taught the meaning of consequences.

The Grivieng Mother

The mother in our story didn't just look away; she said nothing when her precious children hijacked planes, over and over throughout the sixties and seventies, forcing pilots at gunpoint to land in the desert while the world watched as hostages were paraded on television. She did nothing when they walked into the 1972 Munich Olympics and murdered eleven athletes on live television, or when they massacred dozens of civilians at Lod Airport that same year.

She cheered and showered them with applause and money the first time they spilled blood, and instead of pulling back, she leaned in closer. So they escalated. A hijacking became mass hostage-taking, hostages became dead children, and she still didn't flinch; she just found a bigger stage to applaud from. So they escalated again. A bus became buses, a bombing became a rhythm, weekly, monthly, a new city every time the last one stopped making headlines, and instead of drawing a line, she handed out bigger rewards to match the bigger crimes, as if atrocity and prize were meant to grow together. So they escalated. Stabbings, ramming, bombs, rockets, restaurants, discotheques, hotels, buses, cafes, decade after decade, and every single time the violence scaled up, so did the reward. She never once reached for punishment. She reached, every single time, for something bigger to give.

In this piece, I'll show you exactly how this mother didn't just fail to stop the killing. She rewarded it, prize after prize, decade after decade, every reward buying another round. She built the gallows her own son is standing on, one medal, one check, one standing ovation at a time. This was never a failure to set a boundary. It was a choice, made deliberately, again and again, to dress murder, rape, and hostage-taking in legitimacy. That's the only fact that actually answers this article's real question: who is truly responsible for Palestinian suffering?

The First Pat on the Back: A Nobel Prize

Picture it for a second. The Nobel Peace Prize. The gold medal, the black-tie ceremony in Oslo, the framed certificate that’s supposed to mean something, that’s supposed to represent the absolute pinnacle of human decency, the short list of names history has decided actually made the world safer. Mandela is on that list. Mother Teresa is on that list. Martin Luther King Jr. is on that list. This is the company you’re supposed to keep when they call your name. So who did they call in December 1994 to hand out those medals?

A man the FBI had files on. A man the US State Department had formally designated a terrorist. A man who founded an organization trained in Soviet-bloc camps, built the modern playbook for hijacking civilian airplanes at gunpoint, and whose Black September faction walked into the 1972 Munich Olympics and murdered eleven athletes live on international television. A man whose name was attached, directly or through the networks he built and never dismantled, to bombed buses in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Rome, and Paris.

Yasser Arafat, the man who invented the modern Palestinian identity as a political brand, walked away from peace, while his wife and daughter lived at the Bristol Hotel in Paris, spending $100,000 a month drawn directly from the Palestinian budget. French prosecutors quietly opened a money-laundering inquiry into an additional $11.4 million that had moved from Swiss accounts into his family’s name. 

This is how our dear Mother handed the world’s highest prize to a man who bombed buses, murdered civilians, hijacked planes, and took hostages. He walked away from a peace deal that would have given his people more than they could reasonably have asked for, and, in exchange, the guilty Mother asked for nothing in return. Not disarmament. Not a renunciation of violence that outlasted the news cycle in which it was announced. Nothing was ever required. It was all forgiven in advance.

The message that landed loud and clear on every side watching: violence doesn’t cost you anything. It pays. Terror pays off, so they escalated, and the money, rewards, and support kept flowing unconditionally.

Four Hands, One Pat

Arafat walked away from the negotiating table in the summer of 2000. Israel had put roughly 90% of the West Bank on the table, half of Jerusalem, more than any Israeli prime minister had ever offered before or since. Arafat looked at it, said no, and started the Second Intifada, the bloodiest sustained wave of terror, with buses exploding on their morning routes. Cafés exploded at lunch. A Passover Seder turned into a slaughterhouse mid-meal. And by every credible intelligence assessment, the man who’d once stood on a stage in Oslo accepting the world’s most prestigious peace prize was, at the very same time, funding and directing parts of it.

Forty billion dollars to Arafat and the people calling themselves Palestinians, and in return, nothing but terror, martyrdom cults, and the killing of innocent civilians. This is what indulgence looks like when you follow the money rather than the headlines. A parent doesn't keep raising a violent child's allowance every year he comes home with someone else's blood on his hands. At some point that stops being neglect and becomes complicity. At some point you have to ask what the money was actually buying, and who it was actually protecting.

Around 2002, Israel turned to the West and essentially asked for someone to finally hold the line. Amid the bloodshed, the answer came back: a committee. The United States, Russia, the European Union, and the United Nations formed the Quartet, four global powers seated around the same table, promising to manage the process. In November 2004, Arafat died. A little over a year later, in January 2006, Palestinians went to the polls and elected Hamas, which the US, the EU, and Israel had all formally designated as a terrorist group. This was the moment. Five days after the election, the Quartet issued an ultimatum to Hamas: three conditions, namely, recognize Israel’s right to exist, renounce violence, and accept the agreements the Palestinians had already signed. Meet those three, or the money stops.

Hamas said no to all three, on the record, repeatedly. And what do you think the mother did? They publicly declared financial sanctions, but did the international community behind them hold the line and let the consequences bite until the message landed?

Not even close. By June of that same year, five months later, the Quartet had already engineered a workaround. They called it the Temporary International Mechanism, a newly built pipeline designed for one purpose: to funnel roughly $120 million directly to the “Palestinians” while neatly circumventing the Hamas-controlled ministries the freeze was supposed to starve. The sanctions stayed on the books. The money simply found a different door.

What you see here is not accountability; it's laundering a mother's guilt through a spreadsheet. You get to hold a press conference announcing the freeze, look tough for exactly as long as the news cycle lasts, and then quietly reopen the tap through a side channel that nobody has to explain at the podium. Five months. That's how long the boundary held, five months of the same sons firing rockets, strapping on vests, raping, and murdering, while she kept the checks moving under the table the entire time.

The Fourth Pat on the Back: Paying Twice

By 2023, an investigation confirmed that UNRWA classrooms were actively teaching children to glorify jihad and call for the killing of Jews, a documented pattern woven throughout the curriculum. The State Department admitted it knew. At the same time, financial reporting laid out, in plain view, that the men running the show had grown wealthy while the population beneath them remained impoverished; none of it changed a thing. The money kept flowing anyway.

Washington had briefly, almost accidentally, cut funding in 2018, not over the incitement or the theft, but over an unrelated political dispute. When Biden took office in 2021, that brief pause ended, and the checks resumed exactly where they'd left off, eventually totaling nearly a billion dollars, flowing straight back into the same classrooms that teach the same hatred, propping up the same leadership skimming the same aid.

The Fifth Pat on the Back: Statehood as a Reward

All that money our mother poured into her beloved children had to go somewhere, and now we know exactly where: tunnels engineered and reinforced with concrete, meant for hospitals and schools; rockets smuggled and assembled through the very corridors the world kept insisting were humanitarian lifelines; The infrastructure of October 7th wasn’t built in plain sight, financed in installments, one grant and one uninspected shipment at a time, by every donor who kept writing checks and asking no questions.

On October 7th, our spoiled, entitled, blood-drunk children cashed in on every lesson their sick mother spent thirty years teaching them. They went on a rampage. Mass shootings. Mutilated bodies. Women raped and tortured in the dirt. Families burned alive in their own homes. Children and grandparents dragged into black tunnels as hostages. This was the payoff. Terror gets you a peace prize. Terror gets you a seat at the table. Terror gets you billions with no strings attached and no one ever asking where it went. So, of course, eventually, what that did that day to 1200 innocent families got them the biggest prize left on the shelf.

An Ear for an Ear

Dear West, dear indulgent mother. For decades, you overprotected the monster you raised, made excuses for them at every turn, applauded them when they should have been disciplined, and funded them when they should have been cut off. Somewhere along the way, you convinced yourself this was compassion rather than what it was: cowardice dressed up as virtue. You expected the rest of us to simply accept it, to swallow every atrocity and call it complexity, because none of it was happening in your house. It was happening in ours.

But watch what’s happening now. The monster you spent thirty years feeding doesn’t stay confined to the borders you assigned them. They’re showing up on your own streets, and you’re finally getting a small taste of what indulgence actually costs. You built them, you funded him, defended him, excused every atrocity as a matter of circumstance, called every act of savagery a cry for help, and now you’re the one standing in the front row, wondering how any of this happened to you, wondering how the child you protected from every consequence turned around and grabbed your ear between his teeth.

While you were busy funneling money to fund terror and dressing yourselves up as some kind of Mother Teresa, apparently believing Jewish blood is cheap enough to spend on the illusion, you fell for the biggest con of the last hundred years. This was never about land, never about a state, never about borders; they rejected every single offer because the real goal was never coexistence; it was the Islamization of the West itself. And here you are, having walked straight into it. You fell into that trap, not Israel.

Your own streets are filling with crime. Norway's own government statisticians found that Palestinian men aged fifteen to twenty-four led the country's immigrant crime rate in sixty-five of eighty categories, with one in eight carrying a conviction. Your churches are the ones being burned. Your daughters are the ones being raped; your own cities are the ones where rape gangs operate in broad daylight. You are the ones being conquered, not Israel. Why? Because that's the ear that gets torn off. Because whoever spends decades feeding and financing terror, while abandoning the truly vulnerable people it claims to protect, ends up exactly like this.

It's time for a reckoning. Ugly, indulgent mother, you, the West that lost itself, trading its own values and selling off its own children and women for the sugar rush of a feel-good narrative. You are rotting. You are hollowing out from the inside, collapsing under the weight of your abandoned morality and abdicated responsibility.

So the next time you watch "Palestinians" suffering on your screens, look closer. Really look. What you're seeing is the finished product, the thing your own money built, dollar by dollar, decade by decade, every check written so you could feel righteous while someone else bled for it. And that same hand you kept feeding is now inside your own house, filling your streets with the men raping your daughters and torching your churches to the ground. So stop looking outward for someone else to blame. Stop manufacturing a fresh reason every week to condemn Israel while the rot eats your own foundation from underneath you. The mother who never once slaps the hand away from a small theft is the same mother who ends up exactly where you are now: unrecognizable, hollowed out, devoured by the very thing she raised. You did this to yourselves. Look in the mirror. That's where the ear went.

On one of those lazy, beautiful mornings, I sat outside for breakfast with two young German women who shared the house. Both were sharp and easy to like. One was a photographer. The other worked for an international NGO, splitting her life between Germany, where her family is, and Madagascar. “One of the poorest countries in the world,” she said sadly on that beautiful morning on the deck in Portugal.

“Why is it poor?” I asked, genuinely curious. “Colonialism” was her immediate, decisive answer. “The West went in, took what it wanted, and left.” “Took what?” I asked. “Resources,” she said shortly. “Which resources?” “Coffee.” “Coffee? The actual coffee? The beans themselves? What exactly happened? Walk me through it.” She paused, thought for a bit, and then said, “They didn’t take it like that, exactly. It’s not the only reason it’s poor. There’s a lot of corruption there, too,” she said quickly, as if she were handing me a smaller coin because she didn’t have the bigger one.

“When did Madagascar gain independence? I asked, as if I didn’t know the answer.” She wasn’t sure. “1960,” I said, sending love to the best history and civics teacher I ever had, Simcha Glikman. Wherever you are, you taught us well, and I carry you in my heart as a teacher for life. “So you’re saying whatever’s happening to Madagascar's economy now happened because of sixty-five years of a country running itself?” She went quiet, doing the math in her head. “Sixty-five years isn’t a footnote,” I said. “That’s two full generations, born, raised, worked, and, in most cases, died entirely after France packed up and left.

Blaming a colonizer who left in 1960 for a country’s condition in 2026 is like blaming your ex for your credit card debt in your third marriage. “But it’s still partly colonialism’s fault,” she tried to argue. “Okay, let's examine that claim by looking at another place that was under colonial rule, like Mauritius.” She didn’t know much about Mauritius. “It’s an island in the same ocean, colonized too, Dutch first, then French, then British. Same story at independence: a single-crop economy, sugar instead of coffee, also poor and very fragile.”

“Two places, Mauritius and Madagascar, were both colonized and began from almost nothing. Mauritius became one of Africa’s richest countries. Madagascar became one of the poorest places on the planet. If colonialism were the explanation, both should still be poor, but colonialism ended for both. One got rich; the other didn’t. WHY?”

“Here’s what I actually want to understand,” I said. “You work there, you know the history, the geopolitics, all of it. But when I asked why the country is poor, you didn’t mention any of that. You went straight to colonialism. Not a word about socialism, the seizure of the means of production, the dictatorship, the corruption, the one man who ran the place into the ground for twenty years. You skipped all of it and landed on a system that ended sixty-five years ago, before either of us was born. Why?” “I mean, yeah, there’s probably other stuff going on too. But our whole thing in our work is the communities that got robbed by the West; you can’t just pretend that didn’t happen,” she said dramatically.

“Of course it did; bad things happened to many communities: colonization, the Holocaust, slavery, occupation- pick your history. Nobody’s arguing that away. The question is something else entirely. Yes, we acknowledge the pain of history, but let me ask you: Is it actually good for people to be handed the roles of permanent victim and permanent villain? You give Madagascar colonialism. The West gives Palestinians the eternal lie of Israeli occupation as the explanation for everything. Someone gives Black and Hispanic communities in America ‘the white man’ as the answer to every hard question. Is that actually the right thing to do for them?”

Look at who that framework produces: the communities fed a permanent grievance and a permanent villain are, again and again, the ones drowning in terrorism, poverty, corruption, and self-destruction. Meanwhile, the communities that made a different choice, that decided to metabolize what happened to them without making it the whole story, that put down the blame and picked up the work instead, are the ones who rebuilt, grew, and became prosperous and stable. You didn’t explain the actual complexity of what went wrong in Madagascar, nor did you take Madagascar’s own responsibility for its poverty. You reached straight for colonialism. So I have to ask you honestly: are you building agency with these people? Or is it just handing them someone to blame? She nodded and said, quietly, “Yes, you have a point.”

“Let’s play a little game,” I told both of them. “I’ll give you a real person’s CV. Close your eyes and picture the man you think that trajectory produced. Then tell me, both of you, where you think this person ended up today.” “That sounds fun,” they said, cheering.

“Our subject,” I said in a theatrical voice, “was born into a stable, loving family. His father ran restaurants, his mother taught school, and the family had enough to send him to a private high school and, later, to gift him a red Mercedes for his sixteenth birthday. In his late youth, he moved to Germany, first to study dentistry at a small college; then he switched paths and enrolled at a technical university in Hamburg to study aircraft engineering. Somewhere in that first year in Germany, he met a young woman who was studying to become a dentist. They fell in love, moved in together, and held an unofficial wedding. Later, he moved to Florida to enroll in flight school. After extensive training, he left Florida for New Jersey”

So. An engineering degree from a technical university in one of the world's most demanding academic systems; fluent in three languages. A five-year relationship with a woman training to become a doctor. A loving family who paid for everything; commercial flight certification, paid out of pocket, logged and signed off by instructors who called him unremarkable.

Now it's your turn, I declared. What do you think our subject is doing today? What does his Tuesday look like? I asked the table.

One of them didn’t hesitate. “Senior pilot at one of the big American carriers,” she said. Owns a house somewhere green, outside a city that isn’t too loud. Married, three kids, coaches Little League on weekends. Living the dream, the real American one, the one people cross oceans for.” We all laughed. It fit too well not to. I turned to the other one. She looked at me for a second, searching my face for the catch before committing to an answer. Then she said: “Well, he obviously sounds like an amazing person, so he definitely walked away from pursuing more wealth and started an NGO, or something, maybe in Africa, teaching kids how to fly, giving them the one thing nobody gave him for free: a way out.”

It all began on a cold January afternoon in 2017, at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration. As always, overhead cameras captured the National Mall from the Capitol to the Washington Monument. The photos told a simple story: next to Obama’s packed 2009 crowd, Trump’s looked thin, with wide stretches of empty white matting where cheering crowds should have been. For most administrations, this would be a one-day embarrassment, forgotten by the next news cycle.

Instead, the next day, Press Secretary Sean Spicer marched to the podium, visibly furious, and declared to a stunned press corps that this had been “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.” Reporters held up the photographs; within days, veteran journalist Dan Rather posted what became the moment’s epitaph: a press secretary had wrapped a lie in “the Orwellian phrase ‘alternative facts.’” Amazon shoppers apparently agreed. George Orwell’s 1984 rocketed back onto the bestseller list, selling out its print run and climbing to the number-one spot, sixty-seven years after its author had died

But what happened next will show you something about the human brain: political scientists Brian Schaffner of UMass Amherst and Samantha Luks of YouGov turned the moment into an actual experiment. They surveyed 1,388 Americans, showed them the two unlabeled photos side by side, the packed 2009 crowd and the noticeably thinner 2017 one, and asked a simple factual question: which photo shows more people? No trick, no ambiguity, nothing requiring political judgment. Just a headcount.

Among people who’d voted for Clinton in 2016, the results looked almost exactly as you’d expect from a room full of functioning adults: 2 percent got it wrong. Among people who’d voted for Trump, 15 percent looked at the same photographic evidence and said the sparser crowd was the larger one.

That 15 percent wasn't confused. They knew the real answer and chose to give the wrong one anyway, willing to misstate a plain fact simply to signal loyalty to their preferred politician or their preferred side. Researchers have a clinical name for this: expressive responding. In plainer terms, people were using a factual survey question the way you'd use a bumper sticker, not to report what they saw, but to announce which team they were on.

In Orwell’s universe, gaslighting wasn’t just a sleazy parlor trick; it was a systematic project of mind control. The Ministry of Truth didn’t simply rewrite history; it engineered Newspeak, a calculated stripping of vocabulary designed to make unorthodox, critical thoughts literally impossible to formulate. If you eliminate the words for rebellion, justice, or objective reality, you eliminate the cognitive capacity to conceive of them. The ultimate victory of power isn’t convincing you to agree but shrinking the boundaries of your mind until you no longer possess the tools to dissent.

I’ve written about this linguistic erosion before; we are watching it unfold in real time across digital platforms and in institutional corridors. Social media algorithms shadowban words like “rape” or “jihad,” nudging users toward sterilizing their language with timid euphemisms just to remain visible. Elite universities circulate sanitized language guides, scrubbing everyday idioms like “master” or “picnic” under the banner of progressive hygiene. While framed as empathy, the practical mechanism is purely Orwellian: narrow the language, police permissible definitions, and you gradually constrict the range of independent thought.

We aren’t just drifting into a warped discourse; we are undergoing systematic, industrial-scale gaslighting straight out of Orwell’s playbook. From every corner, the far-right and the far-left are competing to see who can bend reality more grotesquely and make us question our sanity. On one side, the far-right, from Tucker to Fuentes, peddles the tired myth that a microscopic percentage of Jews, tied to a tiny speck of a state, secretly control the entire globe. Meanwhile, Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood pump billions into Western institutions, control narratives, and exert influence across 57 countries without facing even a fraction of that scrutiny.

On the other hand, the progressive left in academia thoroughly indoctrinates the youth: teaching that slavery was an exclusively “white” invention, canonizing Edward Said as unquestionable dogma, and normalizing Sharia principles as mere “cultural diversity”, all while turning a blind eye to the blatant oppression and violence those laws inflict on women, minorities, and basic human freedoms.

We are living in a genuinely Orwellian dystopian world, not as a rhetorical flourish but as a working description of how information now reaches us. Being told, calmly and by people who sound authoritative, that what’s in front of your eyes isn’t what you think it is. A society that no longer knows what it actually stands for doesn’t survive that for long. England and France are already showing you what that unraveling looks like in real time. America still has the chance to ask itself, honestly, what it believes and why, before it’s staring at the same mirror.

A week ago, I published a deeply personal piece exploring what it feels like to navigate everyday life as a proud Zionist Jewish woman in Boston, confronting quiet self-censorship, shifting loyalties within old circles, and the suffocating atmosphere of cultural conformity. The gaslighting came fast, mostly on Facebook, where people told me I was working in service of a Zionist agenda, deliberately manufacturing fear among Jews to scare them into moving to Israel and fulfilling that agenda. There’s apparently no limit to how far people will go to flatten someone’s lived experience the moment it doesn’t fit the narrative they’ve already written for you. 

I serve no one. Anyone who’s followed my work knows I criticize every side without exception, and hatred comes at me from every direction. But right now, I believe one direction of that hatred has become the more dangerous, and that’s not a popular thing to say out loud, which is rather the point.

I also heard from many people living through the same thing, quietly, in their own circles. Among the responses, one thoughtful reader, who goes by ECB, shared a reference to another, lesser-known Orwell work: his 1936 essay “Shooting an Elephant.” In that essay, Orwell recounts his time as a young colonial officer in Burma, tasked with dealing with a rogue elephant. By the time he tracks the animal down, its violent fit has passed, and it is grazing peacefully in a field. But as Orwell looks back, a vast, expectant crowd of thousands has gathered behind him. He realizes with sickening clarity that he doesn’t want to shoot the beast, yet he has no choice. He is trapped by the mob’s gaze. To walk away would mean appearing weak, foolish, or out of step with the role the crowd demands he perform. 

The essay remains literature’s most piercing study of social cowardice: the horrifying way collective pressure forces an individual to betray their conscience merely to avoid the crowd’s judgment. Struck by how viscerally this dynamic mirrors our contemporary climate, I invited ECB to unpack the metaphor further and explore how it echoes in his own life as a Zionist Jew in New York, shaped by his family’s enduring legacy as Holocaust survivors. He took the essay somewhere I hadn’t expected: not the crowd’s judgment, but the elephant itself, and how long it can take a wounded thing to die.

Anyone reading it can feel the heavy ache of disillusionment, the quiet, prolonged grief of watching a place you called home slowly shift its moral compass until you barely recognize it. This is precisely why everyone needs to revisit George Orwell. When a culture descends into telling you that radicalism is a virtue, that Islamist ideologies are progressive, and that animosity toward Jews is somehow a righteous nuance, we are living squarely within the architecture of gaslighting. We are being asked to endure not only the open malice but also the insidious psychological demand to nod along with our own erasure.

Navigating this reality can feel profoundly isolating, which is why this shared space matters so deeply. We don’t have to carry the weight alone, nor do we have to accept the manufactured scripts handed down to us.

I don't know when "social justice" started to mean sitting through political lectures that quietly rank one faith above all others, or bowing your head in prayer because the school told you to. Nobody agreed to that definition, yet progressive school boards are making that call for you, without your knowledge. Your kids comply because the school told them to, and a child does what the adult in the room says. It's happening in classroom after classroom, school district after school district, coast to coast, and almost nobody's connected the dots.

Now let us flip the script. Later that same afternoon, you aggressively wedge your car into a tight lane without signaling because you are two minutes away from the daycare late fee. You immediately rationalize it to yourself, “I had no choice. The traffic was insane. I am just in a rush.” Notice the double standard?

When someone else cuts you off, it is a character flaw. When you do it, it is just a product of your circumstances. We judge ourselves by our good intentions, but we judge others by their worst behavior. This mental blind spot is known in psychology as the Fundamental Attribution Error, and it is one of the most powerful glitches in human judgment.

This invisible reflex distorts how we manage teams, argue with our partners, and interpret daily reality, all while convincing us that we are the only fair, objective people in the room. In this article, I want to pull back the curtain on something far more insidious. What happens when a natural psychological blind spot is weaponized at scale? Because this is no longer just about sensationalist cable news or algorithmic feeds chasing cheap clicks. We are dealing with an unholy convergence: hostile foreign actors, digital outrage merchants, cynical political machines, and the modern media apparatus, all working to actively engineer our instincts.

These players understand human heuristics and cognitive biases better than most behavioral psychologists. They deliberately exploit our mental glitches because manufactured outrage sells, division consolidates power, and emotional tribalism keeps us permanently paralyzed, unable to apply critical scrutiny or see the full, objective picture.

Let’s pull apart several of these masterclass manipulations and examine how specific psychological shortcuts are hijacked to bypass our rational intellect, erase empirical data, and leave us as emotionally triggered marks in an ideological game designed against our own survival.

When Murder Gets Context and Defense Gets Demonized

Consider the most striking double standard playing out across global media today. When radical extremists, Hamas terrorists, or those calling themselves Palestinians commit unspeakable atrocities, slaughtering families, weaponizing rape, and burning babies alive, the narrative pivots entirely to circumstances.

We are told to “understand the context.” The brutality is framed not as a calculated moral choice rooted in radical ideology, but as the inevitable byproduct of desperation, oppression, and history. The perpetrators are stripped of moral agency and painted simply as victims of their environment. In the blink of an eye, the most barbaric actions are rationalized away because their suffering fits the favored media script.

But look at what happens the exact second Israel responds: suddenly, the “context” vanishes entirely. The brutal reality of having citizens massacred and held hostage, the existential threat of hostile borders, and the operational hell of fighting an enemy embedded beneath hospitals- none of that circumstantial reality matters anymore. Instead, the response is attributed strictly to character. Israel’s actions are framed not as an agonizing, necessary defense against terror, but as innate cruelty, bloodlust, and malice.

For the aggressor, terror is excused as a product of their situation.
For the defender, survival is condemned as a flaw in their soul.

The BBC and other progressive media have perfected the formula; witness this masterclass in linguistic manipulation. When terrorists murder an Israeli border policewoman, Hadas Malka, the perpetrators are magically transformed by the BBC’s headlines into victims of passive tragedy: “Three Palestinians killed after deadly stabbing in Jerusalem.” The agency behind the murder is entirely erased, and only immense public outrage occasionally forces a quiet, retroactive correction.

Yet when Israel acts in self-defense, the grammar undergoes an instant, weaponized shift to active malice: “Israeli strikes kill six in Gaza, including Al Jazeera cameraman.” Here, the active subject is loud and clear—Israel kills.

But it still doesn't explain how the Western intellect becomes so utterly docile, so willingly lobotomized, that we nod along and swallow the poison whole. To better understand that absurdity in the streets and on campuses, let's look at the next bias our brains run on autopilot, one that makes smart people reach very dumb decisions.

Coalition Bias: The Grand Illusion of “Shared Struggle”

Human tribalism is lazy: when our brains lock onto an enemy, such as Western capitalism, imperialism, or the status quo, we instinctively grant instant sainthood to anyone else shouting at the same target. This is Coalition Bias: the mental shortcut that leads us to assume that sharing an adversary means sharing values.

Picture a college quad. A queer studies major links arms with a masked man chanting for a global caliphate. On paper, their worldviews could not be more incompatible; one would face execution under the regime the other is cheering for. But in the moment, none of that matters because the brain has already done its lazy arithmetic: same enemy, same team.

Then, Single-Issue Reductionism finishes the job; it is the reflex that takes a massive, multifaceted, often violent reality and flattens it into a single curated headline: “resistance against oppression.” Once that label is slapped on, every conflicting, horrifying fact beneath it simply stops registering; nothing else needs to be true. The label is the argument, and that is how you get the most politically comedic, intellectually bankrupt spectacle of the 21st century.

Yet here we are in the West, watching educated activists march alongside religious fundamentalists whose foundational texts regard their entire Western progressive lifestyle as a sin worthy of death. How does this cognitive blackout happen? Because the extremists pulled off a linguistic masterstroke. They realized that shouting archaic religious dogma doesn’t play well with Western crowds. But if they borrow the secular academic liturgy and scream “indigenous rights,” “liberation,” “anti-colonialism,” and “social justice,” the progressive brain short-circuits.

Coalition Bias is not just something that happens to people; it's engineered. There are actors who understand this vulnerability with total clarity and build their entire outreach strategy around it. At the 1993 Philadelphia meeting, a Hamas-linked summit recorded by FBI agents, participants openly discussed using mainstream American institutions as cover for their activities. One of the men in that room later helped found CAIR, an organization whose founders framed its mission around “civil liberties” and “justice,” even as U.S. prosecutors named its executive director and founder as unindicted co-conspirators in a Hamas financing case. 

The Muslim Brotherhood’s own 1991 internal memorandum described this as a deliberate “civilizational jihad” strategy: a non-violent, gradual effort to transform Western institutions from within, using the West’s own language of coalitions and rights against it. The pattern repeats because it works: borrow the vocabulary of the people you intend to outlast, and they will hand you the microphone themselves.

The Suicide of the Sensible: The Silent Majority Delusion

If the Coalition Bias is how radical ideologues hijack Western institutions from the outside, the Bystander Effect is how the sensible majority hands them the keys from the inside. Here is the dirty secret of modern local politics: Democracy is not run by the majority. It is run by the fraction of the minority that actually bothers to show up on a rainy Tuesday. Let us diagnose the psychological rot that makes reasonable, working people voluntarily surrender their cities and institutions to radical fringes.

Here is the math the comfortable majority refuses to face: local primary turnout is often in the single digits. When a race is decided by a few hundred votes, a small group that shows up in full force doesn’t just participate. It wins. A fanatical 5% easily overrules an apathetic 95%. Stay home because your vote feels meaningless, and you’ve just doubled the voting power of the zealot who hates everything you stand for.

New York City is the freshest proof. In the June 2025 Democratic primary, the one that handed Mamdani the nomination, most Democrats simply didn’t show up. Turnout in the neighborhoods that carried him was still meaningfully higher than in the neighborhoods that backed Cuomo, a small but decisive gap. That gap was the whole election. The city didn’t choose Mamdani so much as the apathetic majority declined to choose anyone, and the organized minority walked in and picked for them.

Here’s the part that should really give people pause. The DSA has roughly 120,000 dues-paying members nationwide, a rounding error compared with the tens of millions of registered Democrats in the country. And it happened again a year later. In the June 2026 primary, only 5% of registered Democrats turned out early, still enough to push DSA-backed candidates like Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier through entire congressional districts. A small, organized minority decided the outcome for the majority who stayed home.

The False Consensus Trap

Reasonable people suffer from what psychologists call the False Consensus Effect, the quiet, comfortable delusion that most people fundamentally share their basic logic, their decency, their desire for stability. They assume sanity is society’s default setting, the water everyone swims in without having to think about it. It is not. Institutions do not maintain themselves. District attorney offices, city councils, school boards, university departments- none of them run on autopilot toward reasonableness.

They run on whoever actually shows up to fill the seats. And while the majority is at work, raising kids, paying mortgages, trusting that the system will protect them because it always more or less has, organized ideological machines are doing something entirely different. They are infiltrating, methodically and patiently, one appointment and one low-turnout election at a time. This is not a movement winning hearts and minds on the merits of its argument. It does not need to. It is a movement that has correctly identified the cognitive sleepiness of the rational majority as its single greatest asset, and it is exploiting that sleepiness meeting by meeting, seat by seat, block by block, while the people who would object are still assuming someone else is watching the door.

Luxury Beliefs: Morality on Someone Else’s Credit Card

Another toxic psychological blind spot of our era is the naive cognitive bias that assumes the ruling class acts in the public interest. The dangerous myth that political elites, ideological influencers, and entrenched bureaucrats are driven by benevolence is precisely what shields them from accountability. In reality, their primary currency is power, which they accumulate, consolidate, and monetize. To maintain this power, they weaponize Moral Licensing and Luxury Beliefs: ideological positions that confer instant moral virtue and status on the ruling class while outsourcing the catastrophic real-world costs exclusively to working citizens.

It is effortless to call for dismantling policing and border enforcement when you live behind gated security, work in guarded towers, and send your children to private institutions. It costs nothing to look the other way, whether that means ignoring systemic exploitation rings in the UK to protect a political narrative or letting violent crime run rampant in NYC, because it is never the elite neighborhoods that burn. It is the working-class families whose communities descend into lawlessness.

Under the banner of democratic socialism and public welfare, the same career politicians expand bureaucratic entitlement programs without addressing root causes, institutionalizing dependency instead of building economic mobility, creating voting blocs reliant on state patronage, and branding administrative reshuffles as "progress," all while granting themselves state-funded lifestyles, lavish perks, and taxpayer-funded security, completely decoupled from the poverty they claim to fight.

The purest expression of this moral decadence is Western academics, students, and commentators who romanticize brutal fundamentalist violence abroad as "resistance" or "liberation," indulging in radical chic because no terror proxy will ever target their penthouse and their children will never spend the night sprinting into bomb shelters. And here is the final insult: they scream these slogans to get elected, and once in office, nothing changes, or worse, they drag the problem deeper into the ground where it was already buried, never touching the root cause, because the root cause was never the point. The point was the seat.

So Why Smart People Keep Falling for Stupid Ideas

Historian Yuval Noah Harari put it best: "Never underestimate human stupidity." It may be, in his words, one of the most powerful forces in history. And here, in an age of unprecedented technological power and infinite information at our fingertips, is human civilization proving him right in real time.

We hold supercomputers in our pockets; we can access the sum of human knowledge in milliseconds. We have mapped the human genome, split the atom, built artificial intelligence. And yet here we are, devolving politically, morally, and intellectually into a state of voluntary idiocy. We surrendered our critical faculties to the very things we once fought wars and built institutions to banish: tribalism, theocracy, mob rule. Cynical political operators, media outrage merchants, and medieval theocracies bought our critical faculties at a bargain-bin discount.

We stopped asking the basic questions. Who is telling me this? What do they actually stand for when the cameras are off? Who pays the bloody bill for this “righteous” ideology? Instead, we outsourced our judgment; we handed it to the lowest, most primitive glitches our brains have to offer.

Vote Like Your Future Depends on It

We are standing on the edge of a civilizational precipice. We can no longer afford the blind tribalism of voting out of muscle memory. The game has changed completely. The political establishment didn’t just drift; they broke faith with reality. By opening the gates to radical ideological factions like the DSA and sanctifying an alliance with Islamist entities, they sold out the West for cheap power and foreign money.

One last trick deserves to be named before we close, because it is the engine running underneath everything above. To manufacture Coalition Bias at scale, you need a shared enemy, and nothing built one faster or dirtier than antisemitism. Point at the Jews, point at Israel, and suddenly the far Left and the fringe Right are standing ‘with the Islamist on the same side of the room, mistaking a common target for a common cause.

I call on everyone reading this: Do not fall for it. Jews have lived in this country in quiet covenant with their Christian neighbors for generations, coexisting, building, and giving back, never once asking anyone to take down a cross or serve kosher in a public cafeteria. They integrated. They gave far more than they ever asked to receive. The people trying to take over your institutions, rewrite your history, burn your churches, and dismantle what your grandparents built were never the Jews. They never asked for the takeover. Someone else did, and they just handed you a scapegoat so you wouldn’t notice who.

The Democratic Party, in particular, fell headfirst into this catastrophic grift, sacrificing core democratic values and empowering radical factions in exchange for cheap coalition politics and short-term influence, completely blind to the fact that they were engineering their own surrender.

I am not just asking you to pay attention. I am urging you to shatter the trance. Do not vote out of blind habit, to appease your social circle, or to signal moral fashion. Do not sit this out and assume someone else will step up, that the storm will pass, that things will somehow fix themselves on their own. Interrogate the funding. Follow the power. Look clearly at the world we are about to leave our children. We are staring down the consequences of our own passive neglect, and we can no longer afford to look away.

As a mother, as a citizen, as someone who sees exactly where this road ends: I am not telling you who to vote for. But I am asking you, only for your children, to think before you vote. Check before you vote. Ask who is funding the slogan before you let it move your hand. Do not hand your ballot to whoever screamed the loudest or wrapped themselves in the prettiest words. We are not pawns, and we are far too intelligent to keep falling for tricks a psychology textbook could diagnose in a paragraph.

The luxury of apathy is gone. It died the moment we stopped asking questions. So look clearly, for once, at the world you are about to hand your children, and then go vote as if their future actually depends on it. Because it does.

Every bias in this piece serves one purpose: thinking is slower than feeling, and slow is inconvenient. The people exploiting that gap are not smarter than we are. They just found the shortcut first. The only real defense is the boring, unglamorous habit of pausing half a second longer before deciding who the enemy is, who the hero is, and who is cashing the check either way. Anyone who has spent enough time inside your words knows that reading you leaves something behind, some kind of an ache, faint and spectral, a phantom limb the body still reaches for long after it is gone. Your words settle somewhere beneath the skin, leaving fragments of a self that feels both ours and strangely foreign. There is despair there, and disgust, and the quiet exhaustion of having looked too closely at the world. There is something accepted and something forever refused. But deeper still is the wound of betrayal, by human nature, by existence, perhaps by life itself. To read you is to enter, for a moment, that intimate exile and discover something unsettling: we recognize it, we ache for something we cannot name, something we may never have possessed, and yet its absence feels almost like a loss.

Beneath all of it, there is something deeper: a vast, almost bottomless pain, asking to be witnessed, recognized and acknowledged. I can smell it from the darkness of my writings and beneath every layer of my existence. In one of your letters you wrote: “Love is a knife which you turn within yourself.” I had carried that sentence somewhere deep inside me for years, long before I understood what it was asking me to know. One day, at university, a boy I had just met quoted that exact line to me and something passed through my body, a quiet shiver along my spine, delicate as an imaginary butterfly moving between two strangers and for one impossible second, we were no longer strangers. It was one of those rare, weightless moments I could have lived inside forever. I told him in return that I was going to marry him. And I did.

You see only souls trapped inside the ruins of a shattered identity; and perhaps only those who have dared to breathe inside the unbearable questions of existence understand how love can become a blade. Because real love is not always a gentle thing. Sometimes it is a sword of light driven between the ribs, illuminating the wound as it enters, refusing to leave until every hidden grief has risen to the surface, until the body has nothing left to bleed but truth. Real love does not rescue you from the deepest, darkest pit. It descends into it with you, it sits beside you where language has failed, where hope has gone silent, where even your own name sounds like it belongs to someone you once knew. It does not reach for the light. It does not look away. It does not flinch.

Your writing is that pit, a depth so deep that, reading you, I sometimes feel the darkness acquiring weight around me, as though I am falling into some ancient interior place from which no voice should be able to return. And I, and perhaps, if my readers will forgive me for speaking on their behalf, we, recognize that darkness. Yes. We recognize it because some abysses are not discovered, but remembered. And sometimes another person’s words do not pull us out of them; they simply reach us at the bottom and whisper, I know. I have been here too.

My son taught me something recently. We were watching Spiderman, and it became one of those tender moments, a sweet, strange reversal when our children suddenly become our teachers. He was explaining to me that the story was much bigger than what appeared on the screen. “It’s not just what you see” he said, “there’s a whole existence out there, beyond parallel universes, there are different timelines.”

Did you know that? I didn’t. But something about the idea stayed with me, the possibility that somewhere beyond the life we can see, other versions of us are still walking, choosing, becoming. And suddenly I thought of you, of the alienation that breathes through your writing, of your endless questions about identity and belonging.

What strikes me is not that you escaped the gaze of the world. You understood it too well. You studied the eyes that looked at you until you could see what lived behind them, their judgments, their absurdities, their hunger to define what they could not understand. But you did not surrender your reflection to them. You looked back. And in that returning gaze there was something unmistakably yours: irony, tenderness, cruelty, sorrow, an intelligence sharp enough to expose the strange machinery of being human. You saw them almost too clearly, down to the smallest movements of their fear and vanity, and then you gave them back to themselves through your words. Perhaps that is what moves me most. You were wounded by the gaze, but you never allowed it to become your eyes.

Your Prague and my Boston begin to feel like the same wound carried forward through time. History has changed its language, its faces, the clothes it wears, but something underneath remains painfully familiar: the exile, the suspicion, the loneliness of being seen not as a person but as an accusation. Perhaps that is why reading you never feels like reaching backward through history. There is no distance to cross. I simply open a door and find you there, in the same room, breathing the same questions, only on another timeline.

Sometimes I sit in a café, tucked quietly into my corner, and watch people pass through the door, and suddenly a violent tenderness rises in my chest, an ache so immense it feels almost physical, an unbearable longing to collapse against one of them. To lay my head on the shoulder of a complete stranger, against the ordinary fabric of their coat, and weep. To weep with such weight that time itself might finally surrender and come to a halt. I want to do this every day: choose one nameless passerby from the endless river of people, look into the face of someone who owes me nothing, and whisper, Do you understand?

When I moved here, to Boston, fifteen years ago, I wanted to merge with this beauty. I wanted to belong to it so completely that one day I could walk down some ordinary street and find my own memories waiting there for me. Here is where I fell off my bicycle and broke my leg. Here is where my friends and I walked together, laughing until the evening disappeared around us. Here is where we kissed. Here is where we fought. Here is where life happened. I wanted that here. I wanted to make these streets alive with everything that was alive in me, with all my rivers, all the oceans moving through my veins. I wanted to pour my past into this place until there was no longer a border between there and here, until memory itself could no longer tell which country it belonged to, until the child I had been and the woman walking these streets now could finally recognize each other and say: This, too, is home.

I thought that if I loved this place long enough, if I left enough pieces of myself on its sidewalks, the past would eventually surrender to the present, the timelines would fold gently into one another. But I was wrong. I stand now with my eyes wide open before the unbearable contradiction of this city, forced to love its beauty while slowly learning to see what can hide behind it. Behind the ivy-covered walls of knowledge, behind the cathedral-sized libraries and their sacred silence, behind the polished halls of academia where intelligent people speak in careful, immaculate words about justice, humanity, liberation, and truth, I have come to feel something darker taking root: a moral decay so articulate, so elegantly educated, so beautifully dressed in the language of virtue that, for years, I mistook it for wisdom, we all did.

This beautiful place failed to become my home. This is a place where hatred is polite, footnoted, intellectualized, where contempt arrives dressed as scholarship and exclusion calls itself justice. And this is where the timelines begin to deceive me. I stand before a university in Boston, but somewhere inside its walls I see Prague; I see Germany; I see the same human ugliness rearranging itself across centuries. Different faces, different clothes, different words, but the same roles, the same certainty, the same ancient choreography of hatred. For a moment, I no longer know which universe I am standing in, or what year it is. Perhaps that is the cruelty of parallel timelines: history does not return looking exactly as we remember it. It changes its clothes, its language. You see it now: the Jew becomes the Zionist. No longer a swastika; now, a keffiyeh.

And forgive me, Kafka, for laying another sorrow beside yours, but I cannot escape the feeling that I have met something of the same human darkness you knew. And I know it in a way that science cannot explain: we are the same people meeting one another across centuries, different clothes, different languages, and different banners, explaining why this time is inevitable, and someone must finish the job.

You asked whether it is natural to leave a place where one is so hated. Yes. It is. And I will never judge anyone who leaves. I will take their hand and walk beside them for as long as they need me to. But I refuse. I refuse. For three years, inside this beautiful human ugliness called Boston, I have been called a Nazi. Baby killer. Fucking Zionist. Dirty Jew. I have lost friends. No, that isn't true. I lost all of them. And there is a particular kind of loneliness here that has no bottom. You do not simply sit inside it; you sink. You sink until loneliness is no longer the absence of other people but a place in itself, a black ocean, an existential death, a country with no shore. And still, somewhere beneath all that water, something in me refuses to drown.

I am not leaving. I am not running. I will stay here and fight, for as long as there is breath left in this incarnation of mine, against the ugliness I see hiding inside this beautiful city, against the ignorance of counterfeit intellectuals, against those who have mastered every language except the language of truth. I will fight with the only weapons I want to carry: my words. My memory. My truth. Until the end of our tikkun, whatever that tikkun may be. I do not know yet. Perhaps we are not meant to know while we are still living inside the question.

And so I am reading you, Kafka, and I want to tell you, in the plainest words I know, what it feels like to be a Zionist Jew in Boston today:

All it took to turn civilized children into bloodthirsty factionalists was a handful of adults in white lab coats, silently pulling levers behind the curtain. The researchers split the boys into two arbitrary camps, staged a few fake competitions, created an artificial sense of resource scarcity, and dropped a single poisonous premise into the water supply: Those people over there are the reason you don’t have what you deserve.

The terrifying truth revealed in that Oklahoma forest wasn't that human nature is fragile. It was that hostility between groups doesn't require history, ideology, or a real grievance. It only requires a manufactured division, a manufactured scarcity, and a single sentence: those people are why you don't have what you deserve. Fast-forward seventy years, and the white coats have been replaced by Islamist strategists and hard-left ideologues. The isolated state park has been replaced by university lecture halls and high-speed algorithms. But the mechanics remain precise, mathematical, and identical.

This is the story of how that exact formula, arbitrary division, manufactured scarcity, and one poisoned sentence, was run on an entire generation of young Latino-Americans. All they had to do was drop a single sentence into the water supply and let it spread: “Until everyone is free, no one is free.” A slogan dressed up as solidarity, weaponized as a leash that chained an entire generation of Hispanic youth to somebody else’s war, convincing them that their own struggle for jobs, safety, and dignity was meaningless until they bled for a cause four thousand miles away that never once bled for them.

This is where the scam of the century reaches its peak. This article exposes how a rising class of Hispanic politicians, candidates, and self-appointed community leaders swallowed that lie, and in doing so, committed a monumental betrayal of the very people they claim to represent.

By weaponizing the cheap lie of “intersectionality,” the academic jargon claiming all struggles are magically the same struggle, these elite hacks convinced Hispanic leaders to trade their own constituents for a seat at the rage parade. Instead of fighting inflation, failing schools, and street violence, they fell for a brain rot operation: to care about their own people, they were told, you must first pledge allegiance to a radical Islamist playbook.

These politicians ran on a promise, they stood in front of their own communities and swore to work for them, to fight for their jobs, their schools, their safety. Somewhere between the campaign trail and the committee room, that promise got sold for a seat at the table where the progressive left decides who gets to be righteous this week. And once you’ve made that trade, you stop asking questions. You stop asking: what about our pain? What about the Hispanic father who can’t afford rent, the mother whose kid can’t read at grade level, the neighborhood that buries another teenager every summer?

You also stop asking why, if suffering is what moves you, you have nothing to say about the people being slaughtered in Sudan, Congo, and Ukraine right now, while you’re busy chanting “genocide” on a stage four thousand, and four thousand miles removed from your own district. They don’t ask these questions because parrots don’t ask them. They repeat what they’re handed, and that is the betrayal at the heart of this article: not just that they chose the wrong side, but that they stopped thinking the moment popularity told them not to.

The displacement of anger

The genius of this ideological scam lies in how efficiently it preys on real human suffering. Young Latino-Americans face genuine friction: structural mobility hurdles, complex immigration paralysis, and the grinding economic reality of modern urban America. Their frustration is real, their “lived experience” contains actual pain.

The machine behind this campaign isn’t theoretical. It’s an institutional pipeline, greased with dark money and run out of cynical campus politics.

At my son's high school graduation, just before the diplomas were handed out, I noticed a cluster of students wearing a distinctive stole. I asked what it was. A special club, I was told, for Black and Latino students. A club defined solely by the fact that the institution treats these two groups as sharing the same grievance, the same enemy, the same story of oppression, different histories, different struggles. different countries of origin, but none of that matters to the institution. What matters is that the connection is taught to them, drilled into them, until they believe it was always there. The liberal schools are creating this, sorting kids not by interests but by grievance.

Later on campus, when a young Latino student steps into a university group meant to advocate for their community, they expect to enter a space built to uplift them, navigate their challenges, and fight for their future. Instead, they walk straight into an ideological ambush. Radical recruiters slip into these community hubs and begin poisoning the water supply. They build an entire social world around this poisoned well. They offer instant belonging, late-night hangout sessions, and a powerful rush of solidarity. The student feels seen, heard, and deeply validated for the first time in their academic life.

But suddenly, without their noticing, their personal pain is redirected into someone else’s holy war. They aren’t taught how to build political power or fix local schools; they are taught whom to hate and whom to blame for their grievance. Their real-life struggle is neatly replaced by a manufactured global narrative, turning their hardship into fuel for a radical Islamist rage machine they never asked to join.

From Hard Work to Free Labor for Radical Islam

It’s one thing when guilt-ridden, trust-fund white progressives fall for Third-Worldist propaganda, that’s practically a rite of passage at elite universities. But to watch the Latino advocacy ecosystem, a culture fundamentally anchored in faith, strong family structures, and an unmatched work ethic, fall into the exact same trap of endless victimhood and grievance politics?

That is a special kind of tragedy, instead of putting their heads down and building generational wealth, an entire class of “community leaders” decided to become unpaid PR reps for radical Islamists who wouldn’t hesitate to crush their actual culture. Here is how the betrayal looks in practice:

Mijente & Marisa Franco: Selling “Border Imperialism”

Once dedicated to protecting families and navigating complex immigration law, Mijente, under the leadership of Marisa Franco, signed onto and helped amplify “Deadly Exchange,” a campaign built on a single manufactured premise: that Border Patrol and ICE agents are trained in brutality by Israel, and that dismantling the border means dismantling Israel first.

Never mind that the campaign originated with Jewish Voice for Peace, a fringe anti-Zionist outfit playing dress-up as a mainstream Jewish organization. Mijente picked it up, ran with it, and helped feed its base a border theory that has nothing to do with wages, visas, or deportations, and everything to do with laundering an old obsession through a new zip code.

Instead of securing legal status or labor protections for the farmworkers whose dues built this movement, Mijente’s feeds filled with maps and manifestos claiming a straight line from the fence in El Paso to the fence in Gaza. Mijente itself lists its work as running “from the US-Mexico border to Palestine,” in its own words, not mine. Instead of promising their base real help and support, they handed them an enemy. They convinced a base of undocumented families and their children, people trying to survive traffic stops and ICE raids in Texas, that the fence keeping them out and the fence keeping Gaza in were built by the same hand.

By doing that, they are stripping its own people of agency. Once you’ve convinced someone their suffering is entirely the work of an external enemy, they stop asking what they can build, demand, or organize for themselves. They wait to be liberated by someone else’s war. That’s not empowerment, that’s the oldest trick in the propaganda playbook, straight out of Goebbels: find the enemy, name them once, and repeat it until the people stop thinking and start reciting. Hamas has run the same script for decades, dressing up a terror campaign as liberation theology. These leaders didn’t invent a new language of hate. they just translated an old one into Spanish and handed it to a generation that trusted them.

Mijente protesting for Palestine. Instead of addressing the real, daily challenges of Latinxs, they are playing straight into the strategic misdirection formed by the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR. While they focus on distant international campaigns, they are turning their backs on the very people who built these organizations and trusted them to fight for the community’s immediate and essential needs.

United We Dream: The Dreamers Who Dream of Intifada

United We Dream built its brand on the backs of young, ambitious immigrants who wanted nothing more than to study, work, and contribute to the American Dream. Post-October 7, that mission got a new wardrobe. In February 2024, UWD organized a rally at Union Station where two hundred people showed up dressed head to toe in red, black, and green, carrying watermelons and poppies, to protest a Senate bill that bundled border funding together with aid to Israel.

That same month, more than a dozen of their own youth were arrested in the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. Not immigration reform or DACA. A ceasefire for people they have never met, who do not share their language, history, or values, because make no mistake: this was never a shared struggle. It was a manufactured one.

Let’s be precise about who these young Dreamers were handed a police record for. Terrorists who, on October 7, and for many years before, have been massacring, raping, and kidnapping. If you think they only do it to Israelis as part of a resistance, you are delusional. They are the same people who stone women for adultery, mutilate girls before they can vote, hang gay men from cranes, marry off children, and treat an honor killing as a cause for celebratory gunfire in the street.

But I am sure the Latin leaders don't know or don't want to know any of that, because they only believe in lived experience when it fits the entire business model: find a generation hungry to believe in something, hand them a slogan instead of a source, and watch them walk themselves into a police report for a cause that was never theirs, while the strategist who built the campaign sits in a luxury hotel in Doha, glass of champagne in hand, laughing at how stupid you are and how easy it was.

United We Dream apparently ran out of immigrant battles to fight. Now they're just unpaid PR interns for causes with zero connection to their mission. Won't lift a finger for other people's genuine suffering if it doesn't come with the right hashtag.

The AOC Illusion: Trading Bronx Priorities for Anti-Israel Activism

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her seat in Congress on a promise to be the voice of working-class Hispanic families in New York’s 14th District, one of the poorest congressional districts in the country. But her own legislative record tells a different story than her media presence. In 2022, she introduced fewer bills than all but four members of the entire New York delegation. By independent tracking, not a single bill she personally sponsored in the 117th Congress became law.

That same energy, directed at Israel, and she holds nothing back. A genocide accusation delivered from the floor of the House, a call to cut off weapons to Israel, a wave of criticism that followed, conferences, interviews, a viral video almost every week. Ocasio-Cortez has found a formula that costs her nothing and pays out in clicks, riding a wave of populist hatred dressed up as moral clarity. The rhetoric borrows the oldest tools in the book, an enemy to blame, a crowd to enrage, a slogan simple enough to fit in fifteen seconds of video. It works because outrage travels faster than policy, and she has built her entire public identity on knowing the difference.

What she has not built is anything for NY-14. Legislating takes patience and produces no applause. Sitting for an interview about housing costs or failing schools in her own district does not trend. So she doesn’t do it, not with any consistency, not with the energy she reserves for Israel. Her district didn't get a housing bill or a jobs bill. It got a talking point, delivered relentlessly, while NY-14, which still carries one of the highest poverty rates in New York State, sits a few blocks from her own district office.

Darializa Avila Chevalier: Weaponizing Identity to Serve a Radical Agenda

Darializa Avila Chevalier mastered the art of identity politics to capture New York’s 13th District, weaponizing her background as a Dominican-American Afro-Latina to promise working-class voters child tax credits, rent caps, and immigration protections. But beneath the localized facade lies a career radical whose real obsession has little to do with Harlem or Washington Heights.

A Middle Eastern Studies graduate from Columbia, Chevalier built her entire activist pedigree around anti-Israel agitation years before she ever ran for office. In 2020, she publicly declared that “Israel doesn’t exist,” not a critique of policy, an erasure of a state and everyone living in it. As a student in 2014, she helped raise bail money for Rasmea Odeh, a convicted terrorist who helped plan a supermarket bombing in Jerusalem that killed two people and who also planted a bomb at a British consulate.

She went on to co-found Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a group whose stated mission includes acting “in full support of the Palestinian resistance.” And on October 8, 2023, one single day after Hamas massacred, raped, and kidnapped its way through southern Israel, she showed up to a pro-Palestinian rally in Times Square to declare solidarity, a rally so overtly celebratory of the attack that even fellow progressives publicly condemned it.

Jonathan Paz, the Latino Community, and the Intersectional “Snowflakes”

Jonathan Paz is the reason I am writing this piece. He is running to represent Massachusetts’s 5th Congressional District, challenging incumbent Katherine Clark, a different species of progressive parrot, but a parrot nonetheless. When I met Jonathan Paz I didn’t know his politics. It was a salsa and bachata pool party at a good friend’s house last weekend, part of a community of dancers I have belonged to for over fifteen years, a multicultural crowd built on nothing but a shared love of the music. Long before anyone told us who was allowed to stand next to whom, I moved through rooms full of Latinos, Asians, Black and white dancers, and nobody once asked what I believed or where I came from. All that mattered was the music and whether you could keep a good body roll.

Then Jonathan Paz walked into it, bringing his divisive politics with him. I didn’t know it at the time, but the poolside gathering I showed up to that weekend wasn’t just a dance party. It was a campaign stop he organized to poison our community with his rot. I showed up and saw his sign all over, announcing he was running for Congress in my district. Jonathan Paz and a handful of his political operatives were working the crowd at a party that was supposed to belong to all of us, using a decade of trust as unconditional love to spread their venom, blood libel, and hatred.

One of his people struck up a conversation with me, assuming, because of how I look, that I was safe to listen to his rot. Three minutes in, he told me Jews used to raise money in churches to fund the killing of Palestinians. Then he said, standing in the pool at a salsa party: "I come from a family of KKK. I can recognize them in a second. They're just the same, don't you think?" No, I said. The KKK hated people for no reason, people who did nothing to them. Jews have spent generations helping every community, Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ, women. And what happened in Gaza is self-defense, not genocide. He didn't seem to hear a word of it. He just kept going, more passionate than before: "I knew they were white supremacists and evil the minute they cut off Gaza's water." I told him the truth: Israel built and funded Gaza's desalination plants, and Hamas dug up the pipes to build rockets and tunnels instead. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't need to. Facts don't require volume.

He looked at me with those scary, piercing blue eyes and screamed like the snowflake he is: “You’re a fucking Zionist. I fucking knew something was wrong with you, fuck off.” Then this cracked egg of a man went running to Jonathan Paz, and the two of them scurried off together to tattle to the host that the Zionist had hurt his feelings.

Let that sink in. A grown man stood in front of me and recited a modern blood libel almost word for word, Jews go to church to raise money to fund killing, Jews are shutting off water, Jews are white supremacists, and when I answered with facts instead of applause, he didn’t defend a single word of it. He just screamed the only weapon he had left, fucking Zionist, and ran to complain like a child who lost a game he made up the rules for. Two grown men, one running for the privilege of representing actual human beings in Massachusetts, and neither could survive one sentence of pushback, just like any progressive coping strategy: screaming, swearing, and then melting down like a toddler denied a toy in the checkout aisle.

These are the men who want your vote; this is how progressive snowflake politics actually looks up close. Not principle, not courage. Only lies, blood libels, and a script memorized from someone else’s talking points, performed with total certainty right up until the moment it meets a fact, at which point the whole performance collapses into a tantrum and a run to the nearest adult.

Jonathan Paz and all the Latin leaders riding the Jewish-hate vehicle to Congress, you could not handle me face-to-face, but maybe you can read my words without melting down this time:

The Jewish community stood beside Latino immigrants for sixty years. Marched with farmworkers, funded scholarships, filled courtrooms, showed up without asking for anything back. And it’s fine, we will manage without your support. The real crime here isn’t against us, it’s against your own voters. They trusted you with their time, their energy, their money, to invest in their grievances, not in men who murder their own daughters for walking outside without a hijab. You call it winning because your candidates get elected. Look harder at who you’re running with. If your allies have no problem raping, murdering, and kidnapping in the name of “resistance,” what exactly stops them from doing the same to you the moment you stop agreeing with them?

Let me say this plainly, once, so there’s no ambiguity left to hide behind: yes, I am a Zionist. I was born a Zionist, and I carry it in my identity, in my truth, with a certainty nothing has ever cracked, and I will die a proud Zionist. I sat through three academic degrees soaked in progressive ideology, and not once did I stop asking the one question that apparently never occurred to you: who benefits from me thinking this way? Who wants me stripped of agency, convinced I’m nothing but a victim, kept small, oppressed, and grateful for the scraps of pity they hand me? That question is exactly what saved me from becoming what you will never stop being.

You dared to walk into the purest community in the world. A community that spent years building real multiculturalism, where everyone dances together, enjoys together, and leaves their politics at the door. And what do you do? You spread poison. Division. You sort people back into camps, the exact thing your movement claims to be fighting against. That is precisely what you did: demonizing Jews and Zionists, lying, to advance yourself politically on the back of your own community and on the back of the people who have helped you for years.

I’ll close by calling on everyone reading this: do not vote or donate to these people. If you’re in my district in Massachusetts, or anywhere else where a Hispanic candidate tells you that they are running for a marginalized community. I know how tempting that is. We Jews love to help. But no. These are not our friends anymore. Now they work for CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Qatar. Look at Jonathan Paz’s own Instagram, where he proudly posts his endorsement from CAIR. Do you think he knows CAIR’s connections to the Holy Land Foundation, sitting in prison for terrorism financing? Their ties to Hamas and terror funding? Their connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and the broader push to Islamize the West? I’m sure he has no idea. Because that’s exactly what today’s useful idiots are.

What I didn’t put in the article is that I also spent an hour crying in a bathroom that night. I know how to stand my ground and defend who we are, our values, the people who stand beside us. But knowing how to fight doesn’t make the pain any less real. So I cried, more than a little.

I keep wondering what happened to the primal mechanics of nature. What happened to the instinct to pursue, to be a man a woman can actually lean her weight on, the one who drives, who plans, who handles things, who makes room for a woman to fall back into her own feminine energy instead of clawing her way through his. The kind of energy that gets repaid in softness, in trust, in love, instead of this exhausting, humiliating negotiation just to get someone to try.

It was exactly this that put me on a plane for a two-week escape from Boston, desperate for a break from all that progressive exhaustion. I wanted somewhere I could work, step outside my usual narrative, meet people, learn to surf. Portugal seemed like the obvious answer, so I booked two weeks of backpacking, hopping between guesthouses along the coast.

It wasn’t the Europe I remembered from years ago living in England. The streets smelled; thousands of tourists obscured the actual residents, many of whom were from Pakistan, Morocco, and Bangladesh; it almost felt like that beneath the tourist surface lay a second city, visible only if you looked past the crowds: men loitering in alleyways, watching, stepping closer; women who appeared and vanished in black burqas as the light dropped.

I wondered if I was seeing things clearly, or just too sensitized by my own writing to trust my eyes. So most nights I went looking for an answer on the dance floor, salsa and bachata socials scattered across Lisbon, and let the locals talk. They handed me no-go zone stories the way you hand over a weather report, flat, familiar, already grieved. Sharia creeping in by inches. A government that had quietly stopped protecting its own. They confessed it with something close to heartbreak, the particular grief of people watching their city get replaced under their own feet. I wanted to walk those streets myself and see it, but they told me plainly, dressed the way I dress, I wouldn’t make it a block. So I didn’t go. I didn’t need to. Even from inside the postcard version of the city, crowded with tourists and oat-milk lattes, the demographic tide was unmistakable.

European cafe culture was something I'd genuinely missed. Sitting for hours with a laptop or a deck of cards, letting the conversation drift to the next table, until somehow you're pulled into someone's dinner plans, a late-night party, or just talking for hours with a stranger from the other side of the planet. That's my favorite part of traveling. That kind of effortless connection feels almost extinct in hyper-efficient places, where wasting time is treated as a moral failure. Fifteen years in Boston, and the check still lands the second the last bite disappears, the table cleared out from under you before the conversation can breathe. Where I come from, a meal is an excuse to linger. Here, it's a transaction with a turnover quota, and I have never once made peace with it.

I have to say, wonderful things happened to me on this trip. I spent nights laughing until my ribs ached, talked with strangers for hours, and remembered the amazing fact I had almost forgotten since October 7: at my core, I am a very happy person.

Then came the afternoon at the organic cafe, a polished, nomad-centric workspace where a single latte runs ten dollars, and breakfast arrives artfully plated on artisan stoneware. The open-plan workspace was alive with digital nomads from every corner of the globe. That was when I reached into my bag and realized I had left my headphones back at the guesthouse. Near me sat a man in his mid-thirties, dark-featured, stylishly dressed with a subtle hipster edge. He caught my brief panic and looked up. “Did you lose something?” he asked. “My headphones,” I said, already gathering my things. “I have to run back to the guesthouse.”

He looked at me with a quiet, deliberate smile. “If you won’t come back, I live in this guesthouse.” He gave me the name. “A few of us are hanging out outside later. Nice bar, good people. You should join. We can talk and get to know each other.” He smiled again.

“Sure,” I said. Why not? I’ll be there. Sitting in that sunlit cafe, I had no idea exactly what I’d just agreed to. A date with an Arab. Except not just any Arab, one of the ones who insist on calling themselves Palestinian.

A date with a Palestinian

By the time I made it back to the guesthouse, late afternoon was already giving way to dusk. A handful of people sat on a weather-beaten wooden bench and a makeshift picnic table, their voices drifting through the warm air. The topic, inevitably, was surfing. This stretch of the Portuguese coast was a mecca for nomads, people drawn by the siren call of sun, ocean, and the promise of a life measured in swell charts and tides.

I sat down and joined in, sharing my initiation into the ritual: how I had wrestled with the crushing weight of a surfboard all the way to the shoreline, every nerve in my body screaming to turn back and ditch the lesson. But then came that split second when I stood on the board for the first time, defying every panicked instinct my brain had spent hours building. It was a flash of pure, unadulterated triumph. Suddenly, every brutal wipeout, every bruised limb, and every gulp of salt water felt like a small victory of willpower.

We mapped out potential routes across Portugal, debating whether to head north to Porto, wander through the fairy-tale mist of Sintra, or chase the sun down to the Algarve. Classic travelers’ talk. After about 30 minutes, the group stood up. They had plans to meet another friend at a nearby winery and made their exit, leaving just the two of us on that wooden bench. The Portuguese night was soft and warm. A single bottle of wine rested between us. What I had no way of knowing then was that we had grown up just a few hours’ drive apart.

“Did you end up finding your headphones?” he asked, leaning in slightly. “I did,” I said with a faint smile. “Though I never made it back to the cafe. My roommate at the guesthouse dragged me to a live music show by the water instead.” He studied my face in the low light, the way you’d read a menu in a language you almost know. “Where are you from, anyway?” “I live in Boston,” I said, smooth as a rehearsed line, because it was. Something in him relaxed, satisfied, like a theory confirmed. “I knew it. Your accent is so American.”

I offered a quiet, internal smirk. To a non-native ear, my accent certainly sounded American, a byproduct of years spent deliberately refining every syllable, but any actual American would pick up on my cadence within thirty seconds, catching the subtle foreign inflections and the occasional slip in grammar.

“And you?” I asked, turning the question back on him. “Where are you from?” Grateful, for once, that asking is still a legal question out here, with no blue-haired activist lurking to scream about microaggressions. “I’m from Palestine,” he said, plainly, as if it cost him nothing. The word hung there, sudden and sharp, and for a second it emptied the air from my lungs. Palestine. I kept my face perfectly still and took a slow breath. “Gaza, or the West Bank?”

“No,” he said, giving me a brief approving nod, as if I’d passed some minor geography quiz. "I mean Palestine, the part within what people call Israel. I'm from a small village up north. Rama."

Three glasses of wine in, and somehow my mind had never been sharper. I needed to understand this, not intellectually, but the way you understand a bruise, from the inside, by pressing on it.

Here was a man sitting across from me, an Israeli citizen, born on the same soil I was and raised under the same sky. Yet while so many other Arabs in Israel had made their peace with the Jewish presence in Israel, their ancestral homeland, and chose to see themselves as Israeli-Arab, this man had chosen to erase the name of the country he was born into, to call it by another name, and to become, body and soul, Palestinian.

What I learned that night, the truths he handed over as easily as he refilled his own glass, changed the way I’ll see a whole segment of the people living next to me for the rest of my life. I think I just figured out how you build a nation inside someone else’s walls, without ever moving a single stone. Pour yourself a glass of wine. Come sit with me. I want to take you inside the mind of a “Palestinian.”

The instinct that should have warned her, honed over millions of years of evolution to protect women from an overwhelming, unpredictable male force in an isolated space, never kicked in. Only a few months earlier, Jamey Carney, the American mother from New York, had fallen hopelessly in love with the romanticized myth of the “oppressed refugee.” She entered a relationship with Ahmad Al-Saqar, a young migrant who had made his way into Ireland, bringing him into her life and home, foolishly believing that her Western, progressive, open-minded solidarity would shield her.

She conveniently forgot that inside the fundamentalist reality she so passionately excused, a woman is not an equal partner; she is property. In July 2026, the woke illusion met brutal reality inside her home in Killarney, Ireland: Al-Saqar suffocated and beat her to death, leaving her body to be discovered by her own terrified 13-year-old daughter, before fleeing to Jordan under the cover of night.

These are only two examples out of thousands. How does a civilization reach a point where educated women look straight at existential danger, look straight at men raised on conquest and hostility, and see only victims to be pitied? How did the West convince its own daughters to disarm their most basic instincts, walk willingly into the predator's mouth, and call their own destruction enlightenment?

What if I told you that this terrifying mental paralysis wasn’t an accident but a carefully engineered product born in a single, deeply toxic book? What if I told you that the holy scripture of modern academia was written by a fraudulent charlatan, a man who spent his life posing as a traumatized, “oppressed” refugee, while in reality he grew up in elite private schools, lived in absolute luxury, and spun his web of lies from the air-conditioned ivory towers of Columbia and Harvard?

What if I told you that this exact book is being forced down your children’s throats right now? That it is actively teaching your daughters to suppress their survival instincts and walk blindly into mass sexual assault, while training your sons to hate their own blood, apologize for their very existence, and cheer on the bloodthirsty invasion of their own countries? What if I told you that this lethal doctrine isn’t rotting in some dark, underground extremist forum but is assigned as mandatory, holy reading at the world’s most elite universities, guaranteeing that the moment your kids step into those classrooms, their minds are hijacked and they will never be the same again?

In this piece, I'm ripping the curtain off the machine that hijacked your children's minds, and naming the single most dangerous book in modern history. Welcome to the toxic legacy of Edward Said and the grand deception known as Orientalism, a book that belonged in the trash and instead became scripture for Western self-destruction.

Patient Zero & The Fake Diagnosis

Every deadly epidemic has a Patient Zero—the initial point of contagion from which the infection spreads unnoticed until the host is hollowed out from within. In the catastrophic collapse of Western self-preservation, Patient Zero has a name: Edward Said. Before Orientalism became the undisputed holy scripture of modern academia, its author needed a foundational myth. To sell a radical theory that casts the entire Western world as an irredeemable, predatory villain, Said knew he couldn’t simply present himself as a comfortable Ivy League professor. He needed the ultimate shield of modern moral immunity: he needed to be a victim.

For decades, Said carefully cultivated a tear-jerking narrative. He portrayed himself as a traumatized Palestinian refugee, a helpless child stripped of his homeland, uprooted by the “brutality of Western-backed imperialism” and forced into exile. It was a romantic, tragic tale of displacement, yet it was an outright, deliberate fraud.

The Millionaire’s Son: Said was not born into poverty or displaced from a refugee camp. He was the pampered son of a wealthy “Palestinian”-American businessman who held U.S. citizenship.

The Elite Bubble: He didn’t grow up in the shadow of oppression; he spent his youth drifting between sprawling luxury villas in Cairo and Alexandria, shielded from reality by private servants.

The Colonial Privilege: His education wasn’t stolen by imperialists; it was bought by his parents at the most prestigious, ultra-exclusive British colonial academies in the Middle East and at elite boarding schools in New England.

The Immune System Hack & The Anatomy of a Lie

To dismantle a civilization, you don’t burn its libraries; you redefine what “truth” means so that when you open Orientalism, you are not reading a history book but an instructional manual for disarming the Western brain. Said took a few fashionable French theories (mostly bastardized Michel Foucault) and distilled them into three lethal intellectual lies that shattered the West’s defenses:

Lie #1: There Are No Objective Facts, Only Power

Said argued that no Westerner, no matter how rigorous, objective, or scientific, could ever describe the East truthfully. Every book, study, or translation produced by Western scholars wasn’t an attempt to understand the Middle East but a sinister tool of imperial domination designed to subjugate it. With one stroke of a pen, Said wiped out three centuries of meticulous scholarship, branding brilliant linguists, historians, and archaeologists as intellectual shock troops for imperialism.

But his most destructive trick wasn’t merely destroying Western academic history; it was the profound, sinister gaslighting of Eastern communities themselves. Said decreed that whenever native Middle Easterners, whether minority populations, dissidents, or victims of religious zealotry, dared to speak out against fundamentalist violence and barbarism, they weren’t stating facts; they had simply “internalized the colonial gaze.”

He robbed local populations of their voices and realities. If you lived under Islamic extremism and condemned it, Said’s doctrine labeled you a brainwashed pawn of Western hegemony. It was the ultimate psychological trap: silencing the victims of tyranny by claiming their truth was merely a Western infection.

If objective truth doesn’t exist, facts no longer matter. Barbarism isn’t “barbarism”; it’s just a “Western construct.” Oppression of women isn’t “oppression”; it’s a “cultural nuance” you are too privileged to judge. Said taught two generations of Westerners that judging reality by facts is an act of racism.

Lie #2: The Eternal Victim vs. The Eternal Villain

According to Orientalism, the West is the sole, aggressive, colonizing force in human history, while the East is a passive, innocent, and perpetually victimized monolith. Said performed a total lobotomy on world history. He completely erased 1,300 years of aggressive Islamic imperialism—the conquest of the Middle East, North Africa, Spain, and the Balkans; the siege of Vienna; and the brutal Arab slave trade that enslaved millions of Africans and Europeans alike. By framing the East as a permanent victim, Said granted it absolute moral immunity. Under his doctrine, no matter how brutal, oppressive, or barbaric a foreign culture’s actions, they are always a justified reaction to “Western imperialism.”

This is precisely how the West was conditioned to sanitize bloodthirsty terrorists and recast them as romanticized “freedom fighters.” Through Said’s toxic lens, every atrocity committed by fundamentalists is stripped of agency and recast as a noble, desperate act of “anti-colonial resistance.” It is the ideological washing machine that turned suicide bombers into “misunderstood youth,” recast the brutal butcherings, rapes, and beheadings of October 7th as “inevitable uprisings,” and recast the violent execution of innocent civilians as a legitimate critique of Western power.

When a society adopts this doctrine, the vocabulary of morality collapses. Modern jihadists, who slaughter homosexuals, enslave women, execute dissidents, and chant “Death to America,” are suddenly shielded by Western liberals as heroic guardians of indigenous identity. By stripping the East of accountability, Said didn’t liberate it; he handed religious tyrants and mass murderers a blank check, convincing the West that defending its citizens against barbaric terror is nothing more than “racism.”

Lie #3: Self-Preservation is Racism

Said argued that when the West creates borders, establishes security, or categorizes foreign cultures as “dangerous” or “different,” it commits the ultimate sin of “Othering,” reducing human beings to caricatures to justify its control. Said recast biological survival as a hate crime. He convinced Westerners that feeling fear, setting boundaries, or locking their gates against hostile cultures makes them “bigots.”

And those “useful idiots” in Ivy League lecture halls didn’t stay in academia; they graduated and became the lawmakers, judges, intelligence officers, journalists, and educators running Western civilization. Armed with Said’s poison, they threw open the borders and welcomed the gates of hell to swing wide open. Because Said taught them that calling a threat a threat was “Othering,” they disarmed their own states, and in doing so, he opened the gate to hell.

In the United Kingdom, over a quarter of a million young working-class girls were systematically groomed and gang-raped by Muslim migrant networks because, oops, Said forgot to mention that Islam sees white girls as “white trash” and fair game. In Germany, on New Year’s Eve in Cologne, over 1,200 women were sexually assaulted in a single night of mass violent anarchy, while politicians scrambled to cover up the perpetrators’ origins. Across Belgium, France, and Sweden, ancient churches burn, European women are forced to alter their routes at night, and terror cells flourish in no-go zones that state authorities refuse to acknowledge.

Intellectual AIDS

This was the ultimate hack of the Western immune system. By rendering facts irrelevant, erasing Eastern atrocities, and criminalizing self-defense, Orientalism left the West intellectually defenseless. It created a generation of educated adults who had literally lost the capacity to recognize a threat, even when it steps off a boat in Spain or breaks into their apartment in Stuttgart.

Said didn't just write a book. He engineered intellectual AIDS: a disease in which the host's own immune system turns against its own survival. State authorities, paralyzed by the exact ideology he injected into their bloodstream, grew terrified of the word "racist" and stopped investigating foreign men. They were trained to see fundamentalist subcultures as permanent victims, untouchable, beyond question. Governments swallowed the lie whole. They sacrificed hundreds of thousands of their own children on the altar of academic guilt, and traded the safety of young girls for the cheap comfort of feeling morally pure.

Academia stopped teaching your children to think critically, to interrogate sources, and to analyze history. Instead, it turned Said's toxic doctrine into mandatory scripture. It taught them to despise their own skin, culture, and whiteness, and to see all of Western civilization as one irredeemable crime scene, while bowing to anything foreign, anything brown, or anything Islamic. It manufactured useful idiots: kids who cheer 9/11, chant for Hamas and jihad, and vote fundamentalists straight into school boards, city councils, and Congress.

None of them ever asked, Who is funding this narrative? Why did Columbia University become the epicenter of this poison? Who profits when Western children are stripped of critical thought?

The autoimmune collapse of a civilization

What Columbia never told in their Ivy League lecture halls is that Edward Said was not a neutral scholar; he was the intellectual wing of a terror apparatus. While drafting Orientalism at Columbia University, Said did not stand on the sidelines of a movement he later theorized about. He stood inside it, at Arafat’s side, on the Palestinian National Council, while the organization Arafat led waged a campaign of terror across the world, from the massacre of athletes at the Munich Olympics to decades of bombings and hijackings beyond it. This was not background noise to Said’s career. He personally ghostwrote Arafat’s 1974 “Gun and Olive Branch” address to the UN, the speech that laundered this record of murder into a seat at the world’s table.

His involvement was never theoretical. In July 2000, he was photographed throwing a stone across the Israeli-Lebanese border toward an IDF position, a gesture he never disowned. He believed the intifada was an instrument of liberation. When the one agreement that might have ended the conflict arrived, the Oslo Accords, Said rejected it outright, branding it a “Palestinian Versailles” and campaigning against compromise with Israel. He did not stumble into extremism; he chose it, publicly and repeatedly, at every fork where a diplomatic exit was on offer.

Autopsy of the Western Mind

When Said died, Columbia didn’t dismantle his radical legacy; it institutionalized it, handing the Edward Said Chair of Modern Arab Studies to Rashid Khalidi, a former PLO mouthpiece in Beirut who turned the university into the operational command center for pro-Hamas groups on campus.

Khalidi spent decades giving terrorism an academic alibi. In the aftermath of October 7, he told an interviewer that "the violence of the colonizer is three to 20 to 100 times more intense than the violence of the colonized," as though butchered civilians were a rounding error in a statistics class. Columbia was not done. It elevated Mahmood Mamdani, who made a career of laundering suicide bombers and insurgent violence into "rational responses to oppression." Columbia did not merely harbor radical voices; it granted tenure to the moral justification of murder.

Let’s stop sugarcoating the reality: the toxic theories your children are paying $80,000 a year to swallow are not “progressive philosophy” or “human rights.” They are the raw, unadulterated talking points of the PLO, the Muslim Brotherhood, and foreign autocracies, wrapped in high-minded academic jargon. Columbia University took terror propaganda, stamped it with an Ivy League seal of approval, and convinced your sons and daughters to proudly repeat the very ideology engineered to destroy them.

An Anti-Eulogy: The Poisonous Legacy of Edward Said

Edward Said has long since passed, but the ideology he incubated continues to rot our culture from the inside out. He did not leave behind a legacy of enlightenment or human rights; he left behind an intellectual blueprint for civilizational suicide. His true heritage is not found in dusty academic journals but in the modern ideological machinery destroying the West: CRT, radical DEI, institutional antisemitism, and the moral justification of barbaric violence. All of it under the protection and prestige of Columbia University, once a citadel of learning, now a factory for moral inversion

Edward Said, allow me to write a late eulogy, and you do not deserve a kind one. You spent a lifetime demanding that the West examine its own conscience, and so we will grant you the same courtesy; we will examine yours.

You did not liberate a single mind; you disarmed millions. You taught a generation that strength is suspect and weakness is sacred, that a border is a crime and an open gate is a virtue, and that the only atrocity the West is permitted to name is its own. Every girl raped in Rotherham and every officer who feared the word "racist" is your legacy. Every woman like Jamey Carney who mistook her killer for a cause is your will. Every teenager who cheered the deaths of Americans on September 11 is your poison; they were taught in buildings that bear your name, from a curriculum built on your book. You did not pull the trigger or throw the punch; you built the permission structure, and permission structures are how atrocities scale, exactly like Mein Kampf.

You called this a scholarship, but real scholars do not need to invent an exile to be believed. You did, because you understood something the rest of us are only now catching up to: wrap a lie in the right suffering, and it becomes untouchable. Nobody audits a victim. Columbia never audited you. It enshrined you. It endowed a chair in your name, then filled it with men who call massacres a rounding error in colonial arithmetic. So here is your real monument, not the one they will carve. Not a visionary of the humanities. The architect of a discipline that trains its graduates to stand still as the knife comes down and to call their own paralysis compassion.

On one point, Edward Said, you were right. You said the West projects onto others what it cannot face within itself. You were right, but in the opposite direction from the one you intended. The West did not understand extremism that admits no negotiation. It did not understand an ideology that treats a child as fair game and calls murder sanctification. It did not understand that there is a force in this world that does not want coexistence or recognition and will not stop until it achieves submission, Dar al-Islam,

The saddest thing is that you were canonized: every campus that assigns your book without challenge, every newsroom that repeats your language, every institution that raised a new priesthood of disciples and useful idiots to guard your name like scripture—these are all satellites of the same church; Columbia built the altar, and the world supplied the congregation.

Everything happening to us now, to our girls, to our cities, and to the innocent bleeding out under the banner of “resistance” is not an accident of history. It is your doctrine, executed exactly as designed. History will not forget your name. It will not forgive it either.

I wrote this piece angry, anyone who reads me regularly knows I have watched this book get pushed down our throats in Israel too, by a left that still cannot say the words “Dar al-Harb” and “Dar al-Islam” out loud, even as the same useful idiots who romanticize “resistance” drive wounded terrorists to Israeli hospitals, patch them up, and hand them back to a population that will go on to rape and murder the next round of victims. We do not learn. Not there, and not here.

If you think the current plan, the one that imagines towers and a tourist skyline, can turn Gaza into Singapore and buy peace with concrete, you have not understood anything about Islam. Go back and read what “peace” means, not coexistence but total submission, ours, total, until the world is Dar al-Islam; it was never about towers, money, territory, or anything the West mistakenly thinks it cares about.

Nobody noticed the four young men who had boarded with everyone else in Genoa, their travel documents in order, posing as tourists from Argentina, with their weapons already sealed in their luggage.

By the time the ship reached Alexandria, most of the passengers had gone ashore for the day, taking a bus tour to see the pyramids and planning to rejoin the ship that evening. Only ninety-seven stayed behind, and that was the moment the four men had been waiting for. They emerged from their cabins, Kalashnikovs raised, and forced everyone to their knees. Passports, they demanded, all of them, now. One by one, name by name, nationality by nationality, they sorted the frightened, sunburned tourists on the deck of a ship that an hour earlier had felt like the safest place in the world.

The four terrorists were an elite strike cell of the Palestine Liberation Front, a faction of the PLO led by Abu Abbas, a man who calculated every move with cold, ideological precision.

They demanded the release of fifty Palestinian terrorists, or they would start killing the hostages one by one, on the hour. The ship kept drifting aimlessly across the sea, the passengers remained kneeling on the hot deck, and no one came to save them. The gunmen went through the passports a second time, stopped at one name, and stepped toward Leon Klinghoffer—an elderly, disabled American Jew. They wheeled him to the edge of the deck, shot him twice in the head and chest with a Kalashnikov, and dumped his body and wheelchair directly into the sea.

This is a story most people have never heard, and it happened on October 7, 1985, exactly forty years before the world learned the date again. A cell of Palestinian terrorists hijacked the Achille Lauro, an Italian cruise ship, and murdered a disabled American in cold blood.

This is the story of how the man who planned it, who ordered the shooting of Leon Klinghoffer, a disabled American citizen, twice and the dumping of his wheelchair overboard, spent most of the rest of his life free, comfortable, and untouched, protected again and again by the very same European impunity that had allowed it in the first place.

This is the story of how the U.S. military scrambled fighter jets to force his getaway plane out of the sky, and how Europe, given a second chance to arrest him, let him go anyway.

And above all, this is a story about Europe. It’s the story of how it legitimized terrorism, sacrificed its own citizens to appease its guilt, and signed off on its own demise. This is the blueprint showing how every single choice made in Rome that day paved the road to the collapse of the West.

The Fox Was Invited In

The moment Rome and Washington understood what was happening, this stopped feeling like a hostage crisis and started feeling like a spy novel.

Yasser Arafat, chairman of the PLO, was contacted immediately and, naturally, insisted he’d known absolutely nothing about it. Then, without missing a beat, he dispatched Abu Abbas, the very man who’d planned the whole operation, to sit at the table as the PLO’s own negotiator on the Egyptian side. The arsonist showed up wearing a fireman’s helmet, and nobody in the room thought to ask why.

Nobody negotiating had any idea an American hostage was already dead. So everyone shook hands on the deal that felt reasonable at the time: the hijackers surrender to Egyptian authorities, everyone walks free, and the four of them get safe passage out of the country.

In Port Said, the hijackers surrendered, and the hostages began filing down the gangway, one by one, sunburned, shaking, and relieved. It took the crowd on the dock a while to notice that one of the ninety-seven wasn’t among them and would never return.

Intercepted Over International Waters

President Reagan was briefed the moment intelligence confirmed the murder of American hostage Klinghoffer, and he gave the order himself: whatever it took, these men were not walking free. On the morning of October 10th, U.S. surveillance picked up exactly what it had been waiting for: an EgyptAir Boeing 737 taxiing out of Cairo, with the four hijackers on board and Abu Abbas riding along as their personal escort, headed for the safety of Tunisia, where Yasser Arafat was running his terror operations.

Reagan scrambled F-14 Tomcats from the USS Saratoga somewhere over the Mediterranean. In the dark, American fighter jets closed in on a civilian Egyptian airliner and forced it to land at a NATO airbase in Sigonella, Sicily. For a few hours, it looked like the whole operation had succeeded. The hijackers were on the ground, surrounded and cornered on Italian soil by the most powerful military on earth.

Then the second twist arrived, and this one didn’t come from Cairo or from Damascus but from Rome.

Italian troops encircled the plane before the Americans could move in to take custody. A standoff began, with eighty American commandos facing three hundred Italian soldiers, both sides armed and insisting on jurisdiction on the tarmac of an air base that was supposed to belong to an ally. Justice had been chased across an ocean and cornered on a runway. And Italy, standing between the hijackers and the country whose citizen they’d murdered, chose to draw a line in the sand against the Americans instead.

It wasn’t a matter of jurisdiction. Craxi, the Italian Prime Minister, and his government had spent years cultivating Arafat’s PLO as a legitimate political partner, not hunting it as a terrorist organization, and that relationship was worth more to Rome than one dead American in a wheelchair, or the next attack on Italian soil once these men found out crime paid. So when the moment finally came to choose between handing over a murderer and protecting the arrangement, Rome didn’t even hesitate. It reached for the nearest technicality and called it law.

Italy had already decided who Abu Abbas was to them long before that plane ever landed: a resistance figure, a man doing politics by other means, never the man who had personally ordered a disabled American shot twice in the head and heaved over the railing like garbage. Forty-eight hours later he was airborne, sipping something on a commercial flight to Belgrade, and Italy hadn’t just opened the door for him. It had held it, bowed, and wished him a pleasant flight.

The Disguise That Let a Murderer Walk

After five hours of standoff on the runway at Sigonella, the Americans backed down. Italy took the four hijackers into custody, exactly as promised. But the plane itself, the same 737 that had carried Abu Abbas the whole way, was cleared to continue to Rome, with Abbas still in his seat.

At 5:30 the next morning, the American ambassador personally delivered a formal arrest warrant to the Italian Justice Ministry. By treaty, the warrant should have allowed forty-five days to hold him. Within hours, Italian officials reviewed it and quietly decided the paperwork “didn’t meet the requirements.” Reagan called Craxi directly, begging him to hold the man responsible for Klinghoffer’s murder. Instead, Craxi convened his cabinet.

While that cabinet was still deliberating, before any public decision had even been announced, Abu Abbas and his deputy were already being dressed in unmarked uniforms, disguised, and escorted by Italian security straight across the Ciampino tarmac onto a Yugoslav airliner bound for Belgrade. The vote hadn’t even been formally cast. He was already gone, hiding in plain sight in a uniform that wasn’t his.

By 7:10 that evening, he was airborne, out of Italian airspace, and free to head to Belgrade. Two days later, Klinghoffer’s body washed up on a beach in Syria, a bullet hole in the skull, fired from above. Italy had held the Palestinian terrorist and planner the entire time. It let him go on purpose and disguised him to make sure no one saw it happen.

The Day the West Began to Collapse

What happened on the tarmac in Sigonella wasn’t a bureaucratic oversight. It was the moment the West misread its enemy so profoundly that it set off a forty-year domino effect—one that is now bringing European civilization to its knees. To understand why Rome protected a murderer, you must understand the fatal arrogance of the modern Western mind.

Consider the story of the Binding of Isaac. There are countless theological interpretations of that moment on Mount Moriah, but at its core, it is a story about the agonizing tension between an absolute divine command and an internal moral compass. When the angel stays Abraham’s hand and halts the sacrifice, a foundational truth is forged for Judeo-Christian civilization: God does not want human sacrifice. He grants us agency and demands that our choices align with an internal human moral standard. For the West, morality became subjective, negotiable, and deeply tied to human empathy. The West’s tragic mistake was assuming the rest of the world plays by the same rules.

Misunderstanding the Theology of the Enemy

Europe looked at Abu Abbas, Yasser Arafat, and their cadres and saw secular revolutionaries—politicians by other means, tragic figures driven by grievances that could be ironed out over espresso and in diplomatic treaties. They failed to grasp that they were not facing a moral dispute but a theological war.

When your enemy operates under a totalizing divine mandate, your internal human morality is entirely irrelevant. Their mandate offers no agency, compromise, or Western-style secular humanism. It demands submission and commands the destruction of non-Muslims. It views time not as a sequence of political cycles but as an inevitable march toward total Islamic dominance - Dar el-Islam.

If Abu Abbas were merely a political actor with a negotiable goal, the concessions made in Rome would have neutralized him. He would have retired, signed a treaty, and laid down his arms. But he didn’t. He spent the rest of his life in Baghdad, continuing to direct terror, just as Arafat never stopped funding bombs while wearing a suit at Oslo, just as Sinwar never sought statehood, and just as the Muslim Brotherhood uses democratic tools only until it gains the power to destroy them.

The Cost of Ignorance

When Italy stood between the United States Military and a terrorist, when it dressed Abu Abbas in a fake uniform to spirit him away to Belgrade, what lesson did the radical Islamic world learn?

They learned that the West is spiritually hollow; eaten alive by self-hatred, white guilt, and a suicidal ideology that rewrites cold-blooded murder as understandable resistance. The terrorists realized that if they executed a helpless American in a wheelchair, Europe wouldn’t retaliate. Brainwashed by its own moral rot, Europe didn't just tolerate the violence—it convinced itself that absorbing it was a virtue.

That open door became a highway, and once the radical Islamic world realized Europe would treat bloodbaths as diplomatic inconveniences, the floods began. Two months later, Palestinian gunmen opened fire on Christmas travelers at the Rome and Vienna airports, killing nineteen, including an eleven-year-old girl.

Then came the wave of bombings across Paris, the hijacked flights, the embassy bombings, and the bloody trail of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie. The message was received loud and clear. Western weakness wasn't a temporary lapse; it was a permanent strategy. Decades later, that same appeasement logic laid the groundwork for Madrid, London, the Bataclan massacre, Charlie Hebdo, and Brussels. Europe didn't buy safety with its silence on October 7th, 1985; it built an incubator for terrorism, financing its own executioners while calling it patience.

Today, that self-inflicted blindness has reached its grotesque, inevitable climax. Look at the continent Europe built: Belgium has effectively transformed into a sprawling, unpoliced hub for terrorist networks and organized crime, where entire neighborhoods operating under sharia-infused law are treated by authorities as no-go zones. France—once the intellectual and cultural beating heart of the West—is now culturally unrecognizable, paralyzed by endless riots, beheaded schoolteachers, and a populace burning its own heritage. In Britain, thousands of young European girls were systematically groomed, exploited, and shattered for decades while state officials, crippled by the fear of being labeled racist, actively chose to look the other way. Across Spain, illegal migrant landings are treated not as a national security emergency, but as an unavoidable routine, quietly dissolving the country’s social fabric from within.

Every one of these catastrophes traces its bloodline straight back to that tarmac in Sicily. When you respond to barbaric violence not with devastating force but with applause, hollow excuses, and a diplomatic escort, you aren’t integrating a culture—you are signing your civilization’s death warrant.

The West’s intellectual elites remain hopelessly addicted to their delusions. They insist on romanticizing bloodthirsty zealots as “freedom fighters” or as victims of “socioeconomic marginalization.” By treating a religious war as a political misunderstanding, Europe didn’t prevent a conflict—it ensured its own defeat. Until the West recognizes that its enemy is not fighting for borders or treaties but for the triumph of their God over ours, our daughters, our streets, and our civilization will remain entirely undefended against what is coming next.

I traveled in India for almost one and a half years; I’ve traveled a lot since, but there’s a particular smell, chai boiling on a train somewhere between nowhere and nowhere else, that I don’t think will ever leave me. I still hear the music leaking from every shopfront, see the fruit stacked like jewelry on every porch, and watch the fabric catch light as if it were meant to. I miss it more than I know how to explain, even now.

One afternoon, I was sitting in a jewelry shop when the man behind the counter looked at me and said with total conviction: 

“You’re Israeli. Israel is a very big country.” I asked him why he thought so. He said, “So many Israelis pass through India. Israelis are the foreigners I run into most. You guys are everywhere.” I smiled. He wasn’t wrong about what he’d seen, but he was wrong about what it meant.

There's a name for the shortcut his brain took: the availability heuristic. It's the mental shortcut we all use when we judge how common something is by how easily examples come to mind, rather than by the actual numbers. Because he encountered many Israelis, he assumed the country was very large.

After September 11th, Americans across the country decided, almost overnight, that flying was far more dangerous than driving. The odds of dying in a car crash are much higher than the odds of dying on a hijacked plane. But fear doesn’t consult statistics; it consults whatever image is still burned into your retina from the last time you turned on the news. So they got in their cars, and roughly 1,600 Americans died on the highway. When we make decisions, we don’t sit down and rationally calculate the data and numbers. Our decisions are reflexes, and they run entirely on whatever information is most recent and most vivid, not on whatever information is most accurate.

Curious, he climbed inside. He found a row of tall clay jars, sealed shut, each containing rolled-up scraps of leather covered in ancient writing he couldn’t read. He had no way of knowing it yet, but the goat had just led him to the twentieth century’s biggest archaeological find — and to the beginning of a story involving a Syrian archbishop, a smuggling route through a war zone, a classified ad in the Wall Street Journal, and an Israeli spy who would end up buying back a piece of his own people’s history without the seller ever knowing who he really was. The Bedouin boy had just found the Dead Sea Scrolls, and this is the unbelievable story behind it.

Almost Burned, Almost Lost

The scrolls sat in the family’s tent for a while, treated as nothing more than old, strange-smelling leather. At one point, someone reportedly used a piece of it to start a fire. The Bedouin family then split what they had between two Bethlehem antiquities dealers: three scrolls went to a dealer named Faidi Salahi, the other four to a dealer named Khalil Iskander Shahin, known as Kando. Neither man fully understood what he had; they just knew old parchment sometimes sold. It was Salahi’s contact — an Armenian antiquities dealer with connections on both sides of the city — who reached out to Professor Eleazar Sukenik at Hebrew University.

Sukenik almost said no; getting to the meeting point alone was dangerous. But something about the message made him go anyway. They met at the edge of Military Zone B — armed checkpoints on both sides, barbed wire strung between them. The dealer didn't hand anything over; he just held up a single fragment of leather, close enough for Sukenik to see, too far to touch.

The Bus to Bethlehem

Sukenik had to see more. But “more” meant Bethlehem — a town that was, at the time, overwhelmingly Christian, yet that distinction didn’t make the trip any safer. With the UN vote on partition days away and Arab militias already mobilizing against Jews across “Palestine,” any Jew crossing into Arab-controlled territory, whether Christian or Muslim, was taking his life in his hands.

Five days later, on November 29, 1947, Sukenik got his pass and boarded a public bus full of Arab passengers, carrying the scrolls back to Jerusalem, wrapped like an ordinary parcel under his arm. That same day — the exact same day the United Nations General Assembly in New York was voting on the partition of “Palestine”.

Sukenik got home, unrolled one of the scrolls with shaking hands, and later wrote in his diary that he felt himself privileged by fate to look upon a Hebrew text unread for two thousand years. As he sat with the ancient words before him, the radio in the next room announced the outcome of the vote: the United Nations had approved the creation of a Jewish state. Outside, Jerusalem erupted — in both celebration and violence. In the days that followed, Arab rioters moved through the streets.

Sukenik agreed to buy the scrolls — for the equivalent of about $170. He would go on to decipher and painstakingly reconstruct them while the city was under siege, working through the sound of mortar and artillery fire outside his window. Piecing together fragments written in an archaic Hebrew script, he wrote that it felt as if the scrolls weren’t merely describing an ancient past — they were speaking directly into his present. Sukenik didn’t get all seven scrolls that day, only three.

The other four had gone to a different buyer entirely — a Syrian Orthodox archbishop named Mar Athanasius Yeshue Samuel, who had his own plans for them. Getting those four back would take Sukenik’s son seven more years, an ocean, and a stranger’s classified ad.

The Archbishop’s Gamble

In the meantime, another man already had four of the seven scrolls in his office — and he had no idea what to do with them. It was early 1947, and Mar Athanasius Yeshue Samuel, Metropolitan of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, was sitting at St. Mark’s Monastery, drinking Turkish coffee with a Bethlehem antiquities dealer named Kando. Kando reached beneath his robe and produced a package wrapped in old newspaper. Samuel looked down at the parchment — and something stirred in him. He didn’t recognize the script. It wasn’t the Syriac he read every day in the liturgy. But it was old in a way that made the air in the room feel different. He didn’t hesitate. He told Kando he wanted to buy them.

Samuel made a decision that would define the next seven years of his life: he would not sell cheaply and would not sell locally. He wanted a Western buyer, a real institution, and real revenue. But the timing could not have been worse. Within days of the partition vote, Jerusalem was a war zone. Moving anything valuable across the city — let alone irreplaceable ancient manuscripts — had become a gamble with one's life. Samuel kept the scrolls hidden at the monastery through the fighting, waiting for a moment safe enough to move them.

That moment came in February 1948, when one of his assistants, a young clergyman, contacted the American School of Oriental Research in Jerusalem — an organization of Western scholars who might actually know what they were looking at. An American scholar named John Trever examined the scrolls, photographed them, and sent copies to a leading biblical archaeologist in the United States for authentication. The verdict was stunning: They were roughly two thousand years old. In March 1948, Samuel made his move: he had the four scrolls smuggled out of Jerusalem entirely, south to Beirut, for safekeeping. It would be the first of several border crossings the scrolls would survive. It would not be the last.

Crossing Borders

Beirut was meant to be only a stopover. But as 1948 turned into full-scale war — the British Mandate ending, Israel declaring independence, and five Arab armies invading within a day of that declaration — returning to Jerusalem was no longer an option. In January 1949, nearly a year after the scrolls left Jerusalem, Samuel arrived in the United States, carrying his four scrolls.

He met again with John Trever, the American scholar who had first authenticated them, hoping Trever’s connections might help him find a buyer worthy of what he held — a major university, a national museum, or some institution that understood exactly what these objects meant.

What followed was almost comic: Samuel met with scholars and wrote letters. He approached universities — Yale among them — to interest them in acquiring the scrolls. Everyone was fascinated, but nobody would commit to a price. Partly it was the sheer novelty of the objects — nothing like this had ever come up for sale before, so nobody knew how to value them. And partly it was politics: both the newly declared State of Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan had real and asserted claims over material excavated from land now caught in an unresolved international dispute. No reputable Western institution wanted to buy something two governments might later call stolen.

Samuel was stuck holding a fortune no one would touch. Years passed. He settled in New Jersey, waiting, while the scrolls quietly aged in a box in the New World, half a planet from the caves where they’d been sealed for two thousand years. By 1954, Samuel had run out of patience. He decided to try something almost absurdly direct: he would advertise them, the way you’d advertise a used car or an old piano.

On June 1, 1954, on page fourteen of the Wall Street Journal, tucked between listings for office equipment and industrial machinery, a small classified ad appeared under “Miscellaneous for Sale”: “The Four Dead Sea Scrolls. Biblical manuscripts dating back to at least 200 B.C. are for sale. This would be an ideal gift to an educational or religious institution by an individual or group.”

The Ad That Shouldn’t Have Worked

Think, for a moment, about what had to happen for that ad to reach the right eyes. It had to be read by someone who understood exactly what the words “Dead Sea Scrolls” meant. In 1954, that wasn’t a small ask. Most Americans had never heard the phrase. Most people who had would have been unable to distinguish an authentic two-thousand-year-old biblical manuscript from an elaborate forgery. It had to be read by someone who happened to be in New York that week, not anywhere else on Earth, but specifically within reach of a copy of the Wall Street Journal on June 1, 1954. 

The odds of one person meeting all three conditions at once were vanishingly small. Yet that week, in that city, a man who matched all three was sitting in a hotel room in New York — there to deliver a series of lectures, nothing more — when someone put a copy of the Wall Street Journal in front of him. His name was Yigael Yadin, and his father was Eleazar Sukenik. He read the ad once, and he knew he must act.

The Man Who Couldn’t Be Seen

Yigael Yadin wasn't just Sukenik's son. By the time the four remaining scrolls surfaced for sale in America, he was the second Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces — the man who, as head of the Operations Section of the Haganah General Staff, made many of the decisions that led to Israel's victory in the 1948 war. Yadin knew, almost instantly, that he had a problem — and it wasn’t money.

Yadin found an American businessman with no visible ties to Israel, ordinary enough not to raise questions — and asked him to respond to the ad as the buyer. On paper, on the phone, and in every conversation that followed, the man negotiating for the Four Dead Sea Scrolls was simply an American interested in acquiring some old manuscripts.

Ten days after the ad ran, on June 11, 1954, a price was agreed upon: $250,000 for all four scrolls — funded partly by a private American donor and partly, secretly, by the government of Israel. Samuel signed the deal believing he’d sold his scrolls to an American businessman who thought they’d make a fine donation to a university or a church somewhere. He had no idea he’d just sold them home, where they belong.

Coming Home in Silence

The scrolls left the United States quietly. No press, no fanfare, no announcement — just four of the most significant manuscripts in human history, packed and shipped across the ocean, retracing in reverse the exact path Archbishop Samuel had taken seven years earlier to smuggle them out of a warzone.

For months, Yadin said nothing. Then, on February 13, 1955 — eight months after a stranger in New York responded to a classified ad — the Israeli government finally broke the silence and announced: the missing four Dead Sea Scrolls, including the only complete ancient copy of the Book of Isaiah ever found, are home.

Here's a 2,000-year-old scroll, finally home, found in the Judean Desert, written in Hebrew I can read without a dictionary. Now explain to me again how Jews are 'European colonizers' with no connection to this land.

How These Scrolls Prove the Jews Were Always Here

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a library, buried in the Judean Desert two thousand years ago, written in Hebrew and Aramaic by a Jewish community in Judea on Jewish law, prophecy, and national destiny. It is the unbroken, self-authored record of a people who never left. They contain fragments of almost the entire Hebrew Bible—Genesis, Exodus, Deuteronomy, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, Ruth, Ezra, and more—scattered across hundreds of manuscripts.

A Story About Today

The Book of Isaiah tells the story of the Jewish people in exile, their Temple destroyed, their land taken, and their king dethroned. In that darkness, they cry:

“וַתֹּאמֶר צִיּוֹן עֲזָבַנִי ה’ וַאדֹנָי שְׁכֵחָנִי”
“Zion said, the Lord has forsaken me, my Lord has forgotten me.”

And the answer that comes back — the answer sealed in a jar in a cave for two thousand years, waiting — is this:

“הֲתִשְׁכַּח אִשָּׁה עוּלָהּ... גַּם־אֵלֶּה תִשְׁכַּחְנָה וְאָנֹכִי לֹא אֶשְׁכָּחֵךְ. הֵן עַל־כַּפַּיִם חַקֹּתִיךְ”
“Can a woman forget her nursing child... Yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.”

Today, it’s hard not to feel the same way. October 7th flipped every card on the table. Instead of compassion, Jews faced hatred. Instead of solidarity, they faced boycotts. Students marched in the streets against them. Antisemitism, out in the open again, was celebrated rather than hidden. Enemies rose, openly, to finish what they’ve tried to finish before.

The Scrolls exist to connect us to a message that has echoed for two thousand years, reminding us that this is a burden we've always carried and that it must never pull us from our truth, from who we are, or from our unity. "Empires rise and fall, rewriting the same story of hatred in a hundred different ways. But they never understood our real strength: turning inward, toward one another, again and again, and refusing to let the noise, the hatred, the darkness break what we've always known — that we are one.

Why They Wanted These Scrolls Gone

There’s a reason Archbishop Samuel—sitting on a fortune for seven straight years—refused every offer from a Jewish buyer. And it wasn’t really about money. It was about what these scrolls prove if you read them for what they say rather than what you’ve been told they say.

The scrolls don’t just prove the Jews never left this land. They prove something almost nobody wants said out loud:

Judaism in the first century wasn’t a single unified block. It was an ecosystem of distinct Jewish movements — Pharisees, who built the legal tradition that became rabbinic Judaism; Sadducees, the priestly aristocracy tied to the Temple; and Zealots, who pushed for armed revolt against Rome. 

But there was another stream of Judaism in that era — one far fewer people have ever heard of, hidden in the cliffs above the Dead Sea itself. Among the hundreds of fragments pulled from those caves, one document did something none of the others did: it didn’t just record law, scripture, or ritual. It read like a battle plan. Scholars call it the War Scroll. It belonged to the Essenes — they left a prophecy and specific instructions for a war they were certain was coming. A final war. In it, they named the two sides: the ‘sons of light’ against the ‘sons of darkness’.

This is the war we're living through right now — a spiritual war. On one side stand the values of coexistence, of mutual responsibility, of love for one another. On the other stand forces that want to impose their religion on everyone else, silence women, erase them, and rule through force and violence.

Jesus of Nazareth stepped into exactly that world as a rabbi — teaching in synagogues, debating Pharisees in their own language, and quoting the same prophets the Qumran sect quoted. He never left Judaism, never renounced it, and never intended to replace it; whatever he founded, he founded it from within it, one more Jewish voice arguing what faithfulness to God required under Roman occupation.

The separate religion that came after — with its own institutions and hierarchy, eventually fusing with the machinery of Rome itself — was built by other people, generations later. For anyone who calls themselves a follower of Jesus today, it’s worth remembering: the man at the center of your faith lived, prayed, and died within Judaism.

The Secret Hidden in the Dead Sea Scrolls

There’s another book buried in those caves — one that never made it into the Bible. Among the fragments pulled from the caves was a text called the Book of Enoch. To understand why it matters, you have to go back to something even older: the opening lines of Sefer Yetzirah, the Book of Creation, the foundational text of Jewish mysticism. It describes God forming the universe through thirty-two mystical paths of wisdom — ten sefirot, the ten divine emanations, and the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, the building blocks of reality itself. The implication is staggering: creation isn’t chaos. It runs on structure. There are laws beneath the laws.

The Torah, deliberately, doesn’t hand us that blueprint. It doesn’t ask us to master the mechanics of creation. It asks us to trust that creation is working in our favor, even when we can’t see the wiring behind it. That trust — not technical mastery, but surrender to it — is at the heart of Kabbalah.

The Book of Enoch goes exactly where the Torah pulls back. It’s saturated with visions of the celestial order, the movements of the stars, the hierarchy of angels, the mechanics of judgment — the wiring itself, laid bare. That’s precisely why it never entered the canon: it says too much about things Judaism chose, deliberately, to leave veiled. But it survived anyway — preserved whole, for over a thousand years, only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible. And Qumran proved something remarkable: this wasn't some later invention. It was a real, first-century Jewish text — proof that it simply took a different road to survival than the rest of the Hebrew Bible did.

The Evidence Was Never the Issue

Here's the question I keep coming back to: the Dead Sea Scrolls are out there — physical, dated, undeniable proof that Jews have lived, prayed, and written in that land for three thousand years. And they're not the only proof; they're one artifact among thousands, including the City of David, excavated layer by layer beneath Jerusalem's streets. The Arch of Titus in Rome, carved with the Temple's own menorah being carried off in chains — Rome's own proof that a Jewish Temple stood in Jerusalem and that Rome destroyed it. The words of Jesus himself, a Jewish rabbi preaching in a Jewish land to Jewish crowds. Coins, inscriptions, burial caves — an unbroken archaeological record proving a continuous Jewish presence in this land for three thousand years. 

And still, people choose to believe the Palestinian Myth, invented by Yasser Arafat, amplified by Soviet propaganda — that Jews are foreign colonizers with no ancient connection to this land at all.

Why?

When the truth threatens someone’s identity, the mind doesn’t reach for evidence. It reaches for comfort. Cognitive dissonance is the discomfort of holding a belief that reality keeps contradicting, and the powerful, often unconscious pull to protect the belief rather than update it.

Ordinary people keep pressing a button they believed was delivering real electric shocks to another human being — a person screaming, begging them to stop — simply because someone in a lab coat told them it was fine, told them to keep going, told them they weren’t responsible.

Most of them kept going because obedience to authority, and the fear of what it means about themselves if they stop and admit they were wrong, was stronger than the evidence in front of them. That is, in part, how the Holocaust happened. And it is exactly how this keeps happening now, every time someone chooses a comfortable lie over an inconvenient truth.

So here’s what I’m asking. Not of the people who’ve already made up their minds — of those still listening, still turning it over, still willing to hold two things at once and see which the evidence actually supports. Stay curious. Let yourself be surprised. Ask whether what you’ve been taught is what actually happened, or just what was easiest to believe.

Because this is the moment we’re living in — the same war the Essenes wrote about two thousand years ago, still being fought today. What you choose to believe and which side you decide to stand on isn’t just about you. It’s a choice you’re making for your daughters and for their daughters after them — whether they grow up in a world that lets them choose who to love, what to study, and what to become. Or whether they grow up veiled and silenced, told that ambition is a sin and that their voice doesn’t belong in the room.

Sons of light, sons of darkness. None of us gets to sit this one out. One day your daughter may ask why she's covered, or why she's free. The answer will be the choice you made today.

We are told dating apps are digital cupids designed to cure our loneliness, just like we’re told certain political institutions are here to bring peace. It’s a beautiful lie. In reality, dating apps are meticulously engineered casino games designed to monetize our single nights. A dating app that actually finds you a lifelong partner is one that loses paying subscribers.

From a corporate revenue perspective, a happy, committed marriage is a catastrophic system failure, so the engineers didn’t build an engine for love; they built a breeding ground for chronic hope. The algorithm is fine-tuned to keep you in a perpetual state of romantic starvation, feeding you just enough dopamine-inducing crumbs to keep you from deleting the app, while hiding your actual “soulmate” behind a premium paywall or behind five hundred swipes of exhausting, low-effort small talk.

The Middle East conflict runs on that same logic. You invest. You draft the agreements. You fly delegations to Oslo, Camp David, Annapolis, and Sharm el-Sheikh. You offer concession after concession — land, sovereignty, shared holy sites, billions in aid — and for one shining moment, it looks like this might actually be the time to hold hands and ride into the Mediterranean Sea. And then, like clockwork, it collapses. The rockets start again, the funerals start again. The whole exhausted machinery resets to zero so everyone can do it all over again in another decade, with another summit, another handshake photo, another round of the exact same promises.

What if I told you this isn't bad luck? What if I told you it isn't even a real failure, because failure implies someone was actually trying to succeed? What if, instead, one institution has sat at the center of every one of these collapses for the better part of eighty years — one whose entire budget, staff, and mandate depend on this conflict never ending — and it has a name, a headquarters in New York, and a permanent, self-appointed role as the impartial referee of the very fire it quietly keeps stoking.

You've probably spent your whole life assuming it was trying to end the conflict in the Middle East, but in this piece, I'm going to show you exactly how the UN, hand in glove with the Arab states, has been sabotaging for eighty years the peace process in the Middle East, deal after deal, generation after generation.

If you remember anything from my previous articles, let it be this: the British made the exact same promise to everyone — to the Arabs, to the French, and to the Jews, over the same stretch of land, within the span of three years. For thirty years, Britain tried to sit on top of the mess it made. It didn’t go well. Arab revolt in the 1930s. Jewish underground resistance in the 1940s. Britain did what exhausted empires do when they’ve run out of moves: it quit. It handed the entire mess to a brand-new international body that was, at the time, all of two years old — the United Nations — and walked away.

Exhibit A: The UN's Own Birth Certificate

The UN sent investigators; a special committee, UNSCOP, composed of eleven countries, was dispatched to the territory to see firsthand what was happening on the ground and to recommend a way forward. After months of hearings and site visits, the majority of the committee reached a conclusion: partition. Two states, one Jewish, one Arab. On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly didn’t just receive that recommendation and file it away. It voted on it. Thirty-three in favor, thirteen against, ten abstentions. It adopted it as Resolution 181 — and this is the detail I want you to sit with, because it’s the hinge on which this entire article turns:

So how does an organization that itself recommended a two-state solution, that watched Israel accept it with joy even as the plan handed the Arab side the fertile highlands and left the Jews mostly desert, and then watched five Arab armies try to strangle that state in its crib the moment it was born, walk away clean? No responsibility. No memory. Just a straight-faced rewrite of its own history.

That is exactly what we’re about to trace, step by step: how the one body that voted a Jewish state into existence became the most corrupt institution on earth.

Exhibit B: Absent From Its Own Delivery Room

The vote took place on November 29, 1947. What happened in the following eighteen months is where the UN’s story actually starts to get interesting.

The UN watched from New York as Israel fought for its survival alone for a full year, with no military or diplomatic backing from the body that had just legislated it into existence on paper. When Israel won, the UN simply acknowledged the new reality.

On May 11, 1949, the UN voted to admit Israel to membership, formalizing the borders Israel had won and held on the battlefield, beyond the original partition lines. That’s worth sitting with: the UN’s recognition followed the war’s outcome, not the other way around. The vote wasn’t the UN protecting the legitimacy it had granted. It was the UN catching up to a fact Israel had already established without it.

Exhibit C: How the UN Engineered a Permanent Conflict

They Rewrote the Definition of “Refugee”

Every refugee population on earth is defined by the UN the same way: someone who fled persecution and hasn’t yet found a permanent home. Except one. For “Palestinian Arabs,” and only for them, the UN wrote a custom definition — anyone whose “normal place of residence” was Palestine for as little as two years before the 1948 war and who lost their home and livelihood in that conflict. No other population gets a bespoke legal category built around a single conflict and calibrated to catch the maximum number of people. 

Why does the UN write a special definition for one group and one group only?

Here’s the detail that gets buried:  In 1950, the UN created UNHCR, its global refugee agency. In 1951, the world ratified the Refugee Convention—a single, universal definition of “refugee” meant to apply to everyone, everywhere, forever after. That was the moment to fold the Palestinian caseload into the same system as every other displaced population on earth.

Arab states blocked it. On the record, deliberately, they insisted the Palestinians be kept out of the UNHCR framework and left under UNRWA’s separate, custom mandate instead. Why fight to keep your own people out of the well-funded, professionally run, internationally standardized system — and insist on a smaller, separate agency instead?

Now pay attention: The UN made the Palestinians' refugee status hereditary forever, and only them, in two separate moves. UNHCR extinguishes refugee status the moment someone gets a new passport, a new home, or a new life. UNRWA did the opposite, twice, deliberately. In 1965, it expanded eligibility to the grandchildren of the original 1948 refugees. Then, in 1982, it expanded again — to every descendant through the father’s line, forever, with no cutoff, regardless of whether that descendant holds another country’s citizenship.

Sit with that last part, because it’s the detail that makes the whole thing absurd: citizenship elsewhere doesn’t erase the status. It just sits there, inherited, like a title. Which is how you end up with a supermodel named Bella Hadid — daughter of a real-estate billionaire, raised in Malibu, a fixture at the Met Gala, holder of a U.S. passport since birth — who technically qualifies as a “Palestine refugee” under UNRWA’s own rules, purely because her father, Mohamed Hadid, fled in 1948. Not displaced. Not stateless. Not in need of a single bag of flour. A “refugee” by inherited bloodline, permanently, by design.

Why build the only hereditary refugee status on earth — one so broad it can technically net a Bel Air heiress?

A refugee crisis that reproduces itself, generation after generation, regardless of where its “refugees” actually end up living, is a permanent one — and permanent problems don’t get solved. They get administered, funded, and staffed forever. Go look at who actually pushed for that 1965 and 1982 expansion, and it wasn’t UNRWA’s own accountants worried about running out of casework. It was the same bloc that had already fought, a decade earlier, to keep Palestinians out of the ordinary refugee system altogether — because a shrinking caseload is a weapon that rusts, and they had no intention of ever putting this one down.

Make no mistake about who UNRWA actually answers to. It was never built to serve a peace process — there was no peace process to serve. It was built, expanded, and kept on life support at the Arab League’s request, decade after decade, on the Arab League’s schedule, for the Arab League’s purposes. UNRWA doesn’t work for the Palestinians it claims to represent. It works for the states that have spent seventy-five years ensuring those Palestinians never stop needing it.

In April 1952, just three years into UNRWA’s existence, Lieutenant General Sir Alexander Galloway—UNRWA’s Director in Jordan—exposed the reality to a visiting delegation of American clergy: “It is perfectly clear that the Arab nations do not want to solve the Arab refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore, as an affront against the United Nations, and as a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders don’t give a damn whether the refugees live or die.”

Alexander Galloway called out the strategy from inside the building. The geopolitical goal of the Arab states was explicit: to sacrifice the civil rights and human dignity of hundreds of thousands of people, transforming them into infinite demographic ammunition against the one Jewish state.

Exhibit D: The Math of a Manufactured Crisis

Galloway’s confession wasn’t a one-off slip. It was policy, and the numbers prove it. In 1949, approximately 700,000 people fell under UNRWA’s mandate. By design, hereditary status meant that figure could only increase. Today, UNRWA’s own registry lists roughly 5.9 million “refugees” — a ninefold increase, achieved not by displacement but by birth certificates.

No other refugee population on earth works this way. A Vietnamese refugee’s grandchild, born in California, is American. A Rwandan refugee’s grandchild, born in Belgium, is Belgian. Only the descendants of the 1948 Arab refugees remain frozen in amber, “refugees” from a war that ended before their grandparents were born. In some cases, they live their entire lives a few miles from where their great-grandparents once stood, in UNRWA-administered camps, attending UNRWA-run schools, waiting for a “return” to a country most of them have never set foot in.

Exhibit E: The Institution Learns to Vote

By the mid-1950s, the UN stopped being a stage and became a weapon. Decolonization emptied Europe's empires and refilled the General Assembly — dozens of new Arab and Muslim-majority states, many of them born from the same anti-colonial movements that had already made the Palestinian cause their founding myth. Every new seat was another vote. And every vote moved in the same direction, on the same issue, without exception.

In 1967, after Arab armies lost the Six-Day War, Arab League leaders met in Khartoum and didn’t apologize, didn’t negotiate, and didn’t blink. They issued the “Three No’s”: no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, and no recognition of Israel. It was a formal policy, and it remained the Arab League’s official position for thirty-five years. The UN’s response to a formal, public, bloc-wide rejection of peace? Nothing. No condemnation, no resolution, no consequence.

Yet since 2006, the UN Human Rights Council has passed 112 resolutions condemning Israel — more than Syria, Iran, Russia, and Venezuela combined — even though the council has adopted exactly zero resolutions condemning Hamas or Hezbollah for anything. Between 2015 and 2024, the General Assembly adopted 173 resolutions against Israel and 80 against literally every other country on the planet combined. In 2024 alone: 17 against Israel, 6 against the rest of the world.

Stop and actually do that math. Do you believe Israel, a country of ten million people, is responsible for more human rights violations than North Korea’s gulags, China’s Uyghur camps, Syria’s chemical weapons, and Iran’s public executions combined?

Exhibit F: The Machine Names Itself

On November 10, 1975, the UN passed two resolutions in the same breath. One called Zionism racism — and the world was so ashamed of it that they took it back sixteen years later. The other built a permanent committee for the Palestinian cause, and nobody has ever taken that one back.

Because here’s the difference: every UN mandate is supposed to end when the problem does. This one wasn’t built to end. It was built to renew itself, forever, by design — a job with no finish line, because the day it finishes is the day the office closes and everyone in that room has to find real work.

It even stole the calendar; every year, the UN marks a “Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” — on November 29th. The same date, the same resolution, that gave the Jews a state. They took the day of Israel’s birth and turned it into a day of mourning against it.

And who built this thing? The Soviet bloc and the Arab League, writing themselves a permanent seat at a conflict that was never theirs to referee. When the Security Council tried to kill it with a veto in 1976, the committee didn’t die. It just kept coming back — every year, on schedule, as nothing happened. Fifty years later, it’s still there. Still open. Still funded. Because an open file was never a failure, it was the entire business plan.

Exhibit G: The Institution That Didn’t Believe Israeli Women

The UN is supposed to be neutral by charter — the same rules for every victim, regardless of nationality. Here’s what that neutrality looked like on October 7: silence. UN Women, the UN’s own agency for protecting women, took eight weeks to say anything, then deleted it. The UN’s own investigator on sexual violence in conflict didn’t set foot in Israel for nearly four months and didn’t publish her findings on the rape and mutilation of Israeli women until five months after the massacre.

Israel had to fight — publicly, for months — just to get the UN to admit that its own women had been raped. And when the UN finally did, its own investigator couldn’t confirm it without adding, unprompted, that it “does not in any way legitimize further hostilities.” Neutrality doesn’t come with a disclaimer that protects the perpetrator. That’s not neutral; that’s a system that only finds its values when the victim isn’t Israeli.

Exhibit H: The Agency That Was Never Neutral to Begin With

If UNRWA were merely negligent, that would be one story, but it isn’t. The UN’s own watchdog investigated 19 UNRWA staff members regarding the October 7 massacre and found that nine had actually participated. Israeli intelligence puts the real number above 30, including a teacher ordered to deliver anti-tank missiles on the morning of the attack.

Then came the tunnels: the IDF found a Hamas command center wired directly into UNRWA’s electrical grid, beneath UNRWA’s Gaza headquarters. Weapons under UNRWA schools. Missiles launched at Israeli soldiers from inside those schools. The bodies of four hostages were recovered from a tunnel that opened inside a UNRWA school. UNRWA’s director claimed he had no idea — a claim Israel’s foreign minister called an insult to basic intelligence, since digging that tunnel took months.

This is the same agency that draws more funding per refugee than any other on Earth, an agency built, as we’ve already shown, never to finish its job. Now you know what the money was buying.

Exhibit I: The New Ideology of “Neutral”

By now the pattern should worry you more than any single name. This isn't just the Arab League pulling strings, or a Soviet-Arab bloc that built these committees fifty years ago. Something has shifted since: the people staffing "neutral" UN bodies today aren't cynics following someone else's script. They're true believers running their own, raised on postcolonial theory, sincerely convinced the world splits into colonizer and colonized, with Israel pre-sorted into the first column before the facts get read. It's the same worldview reshaping progressive politics across the West, fused here with an unexamined sympathy for political Islam.

And the irony is total: the institution that voted Israel into existence is now staffed by people who've disowned that vote — and rebranded the one state the UN actually built as the last colonial power on Earth.

Francesca Albanese, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian territories, spent the days after October 7 casting doubt on the mass rapes Hamas had just committed. She later wrote that Jews had learned to see themselves as “the chosen people... chosen to rule.” She was reappointed anyway, her conduct waved through by a committee that found her “detailed explanations” satisfactory. She isn’t an aberration. She’s the type.

Chris Sidoti mocked Israel’s official response to a genocide finding as “so boring,” while his fellow commissioner, Miloon Kothari, publicly mused that a “Jewish lobby” controls social media and openly questioned whether Israel should even retain its UN membership. Their colleague, Navi Pillay, the commission’s chair and a former UN Human Rights Commissioner, brushed off accusations of bias by insisting the panel’s work was simply “based on law” — as if repeating the word were a substitute for practicing it.

None of these people report to the Arab League anymore, nobody has to pay them. That’s the real upgrade — the Arab states, and Qatar in particular, spent decades buying influence the way Qatar buys the rest of the world: soft power, funding, patient cultivation. And it worked so well the investment became self-sustaining. The West doesn’t need to be paid to hate Israel anymore. It learned to do it on its own.

This is the UN as a microcosm: the exact fusion that’s quietly taking over European politics — progressive ideology and political Islam, each supplying what the other lacks — isn’t some fringe phenomenon happening “out there.” It’s sitting in Geneva and New York, in full uniform, running the very institution that’s supposedly in charge of solving the world’s conflicts. Or whatever it is they do there. At this point, genuinely — does anyone still know?

Same as the dating app that keeps us swiping instead of loving, this conflict keeps bleeding instead of healing — because a resolved Middle East is a lost subscriber. The UN doesn’t want peace. It wants renewal. Every office named in this piece — the committee, the council, the rapporteur, the agency — is a subscription plan with a diplomat’s salary attached, and none of them get paid the day the war ends.

And the Arab states didn’t just build the machine. They’ve spent eighty years running the con from the other end — dangling the Palestinians like bait on a low flame, decade after decade, never enough to win, never enough to lose, just enough to keep the cause alive and the money flowing. Not liberation. Leverage. The Palestinians were never the point. They were the subscription fee — the price everyone else agreed to keep paying so the war would never end.

Those beautiful alleys were home to Baruch Spinoza. A 17th-century philosopher born in Amsterdam to Jewish parents who had fled Portugal to escape religious persecution, Spinoza grew up in the shadow of people living double lives, which made him the ultimate cynic. He looked at the grand, sweeping narratives of the Bible and didn’t see divine prophets or revelations; he saw a brilliant, calculated psychological thriller.

In this article, I’m going to show you how two men, fourteen centuries apart, implemented the same marketing strategy. Each claimed to survive an encounter with a spiritual creature, in their own words, a demon. One used that encounter to advance a political force that would eventually claim the allegiance of a quarter of the planet. The other is building his political force as we speak. Their stories line up with a precision that should make you deeply uncomfortable.

This piece won't hand you a tidy conclusion. If anything, it's designed to leave you with more questions than you walked in with and fewer places to hide from them. What it will do is drag two extraordinary stories into the same room, side by side, and let you watch them recognize each other and see how the ancient theater of fear and the modern arena of political survival are running the exact same script.

Let us step into the dark, to the very place where these two men confronted their demons. These are the stories of Prophet Muhammad and Tucker Carlson — and by the end, you may struggle to tell them apart.

The Cave, the Choke, and the Djinn

To understand how an encounter with a spiritual power becomes a political empire, we have to go back to 610 CE, when a forty-year-old merchant named Muhammad retreated to Cave Hira. He was deeply frustrated by his social standing, mocked and dismissed by the wealthy, pagan elites of Mecca — the ruling Quraysh tribe. They laughed at his spiritual pretensions, treated him as an illiterate outsider, and made sure he knew his place at the bottom of the social ladder. Bruised, humiliated, and drowning in a toxic mix of ambition and anxiety, Muhammad fled the mocking eyes of his peers and crawled into a cramped, dark cave on Jabal al-Nour.

Inside, the darkness attacks, and something closes around his chest and presses down, crushing, cutting off his air. It happens three times. Each time he thinks he's going to die alone in that cave with no one ever knowing how. When it finally lets go, Muhammad doesn't feel blessed. He feels utterly broken, certain of one thing: he's gone mad, and he's just been possessed by a Djinn

In pre-Islamic Arabia, the Djinn was a demon made of “smokeless fire,” invisible and shapeshifting, capable of entering a human body. It could possess a person outright, seize control of their tongue, limbs, and mind, and compel them to do, say, and believe what the Djinn wanted. A Djinn is an entity with the power to hijack a person from the inside and bend their will to its own.

Muhammad stumbles into his home, collapses onto the floor, and screams to his wife, Khadija: ‘Cover me! Cover me!’ (Zammiluni). He tells her he thinks he has become "Majnun” a word that means something very specific: a person taken over by a Djinn, someone whose body now answers to a will that isn’t his own.

Here’s the actual sequence, stripped of the incense: Muhammad saw a Djinn. Waraqa relabeled it as Namus. Muhammad ran with the relabel and built himself a prophecy out of it. That should have been embarrassing enough to bury quietly. Instead, generations of Islamic scholars did what Islam does best with an inconvenient origin story — they rewrote it. Out went the choking, the crushed ribs, the man screaming to be covered in blankets, certain he’d been possessed.

Instead, a straight theft from Jewish scripture, the Angel Gabriel, stolen from a religion Islam had every intention of one day claiming to replace. And the theft worked. Ask Sheikh GPT, Google, or Wikipedia what happened in that cave, and not one of them will say ‘Djinn.’ They’ll say Gabriel — a stolen name, laundering a terrified, half-mad man into something ‘blessed,’ when by his own testimony he was exactly what his own religion would later call majnun: possessed.

From Possession to Possession

Muhammad experienced recurring encounters, but this time he knows better, as the “demonic attacks” have turned into “revelations.” He begins preaching openly in Mecca, proclaiming to anyone who'll listen that the gods they'd worshipped are worthless stone, that judgment is coming, and that they need to abandon their ancestors' religion and submit to one God they can't see.

Two things are worth sitting with here. First, everything he preached about destroying idolatry was a calculated invention. When he finally conquered Mecca, he didn’t tear down the Kaaba — the very idol shrine he’d spent over a decade condemning. He kept it and simply rewrote its history to claim it was originally Abrahamic. Second, whenever “revelation” conflicted with his convenience, it was canceled or changed. He set a limit of four wives for every Muslim man, and when he wanted more than four for himself, a new “revelation” arrived on schedule, granting him, and only him, an exception. He ended up with 13 women, and at least one was a minor, aged 6.

The Prime-Time Prophet

If you assumed stories like this belong safely in the past — dusty relics from an unenlightened century, the kind of thing that could never happen to a modern man with a camera crew, a fact-checking team, and forty years of skepticism baked into his brand — you’re about to be disappointed. Because fourteen centuries later, another demon paid another visit. And just like Muhammad, the man it visited didn’t stay quiet about it — he turned it into the opening chapter of his very own hijra, his own migration from one identity, one set of allegiances, one version of the truth, toward another.

When it happened, Tucker Carlson was asleep — his wife beside him, four dogs sprawled across the mattress. The most mundane setting imaginable. Then, he says, something sat on his chest, an actual weight pressing on his ribs, pinning him down so hard he couldn’t move or breathe. He woke up gasping, certain something physical had just been on top of him, crushing the air out of his lungs exactly as Muhammad described being crushed in the cave fourteen centuries earlier. When Karl Marx famously declared that “religion is the opium of the people,” he didn’t necessarily get it wrong; he just hadn’t met Barack Obama. For eight years, the Obama administration systematically drugged the Western public with a comforting fairy tale: that radical Islam isn’t that radical, that the Ayatollahs in Tehran are merely “moderates,” our enemies just need a hug, and that if we sign a historic piece of paper, they will lay down their arms and join the family of nations. It was intellectual opium, distilled to perfection. But while Western voters were happily lulled to sleep by this rhetoric, one of the greatest geopolitical betrayals in modern history was unfolding behind the scenes.

This betrayal wasn’t just naive idealism; it was criminal abandonment by a megalomaniac who published his own autobiography in his early thirties and wanted to be remembered as the president who saved the world, yet all he did was sacrifice American lives and safety to feed his grandiose narcissism.

Our story begins where you’d least expect it: deep in the wiretap rooms of a counter-narcotics unit tracking Colombian drug cartels. The DEA intercepted a phone call originating in South America between Colombian cocaine cartel members, but the federal agents listening through their headphones, trained to hear and translate Spanish, heard a completely different language; it was Arabic.

That single, anomalous phone call was just the first thread in something much bigger. Analysts flagged it and moved on, certain it was a fluke, a crossed wire, a mistake. It wasn’t. Another call surfaced, then another. Same accent, same cadence, buried within cartel networks that had no business speaking Arabic.

So they set up surveillance and followed the money trail, agents pulling one thread after another, patiently and quietly. At the end of that thread was something nobody in Washington was prepared to find: the largest, most sophisticated drug-and-terror network the world had ever seen, a billion-dollar drug-cash cartel, led back to a single name: Hezbollah, which had built and was operating the most sophisticated cocaine-and-terror cartel the world had ever seen, hiding in plain sight. The DEA had, for one brief window, the case to bring it all down.

A team of elite American agents had spent years tracing the money, building an airtight case, and tightening the noose around its neck. They had the names, the indictments, and, for a brief window, the green light to take it all down. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dismantle the terror cartel responsible for the deaths of many Americans.

But then, the White House stepped in and cut the rope.

But on the other hand, Orwell was doing the exact opposite. He was shrinking the room. In Orwell’s dystopian world, the totalitarian government controls the population not only through physical force but also by engineering a new, stripped-down language called “Newspeak.” The regime’s goal wasn’t to help people express themselves; it was to systematically delete words from the dictionary every year.

Orwell’s terrifying insight was that if you erase words like “freedom,” “justice,” or even specific descriptions of cruelty from the vocabulary, you strip the population of the very tools needed to conceptualize dissent, question authority, or articulate their reality. If the word doesn’t exist, the thought cannot be formed.

This is far more than a casual debate over whether language shapes consciousness; it is a documented cognitive reality known in linguistics as the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis. The language we speak doesn’t just describe the world—it actively dictates what our brains are physically capable of perceiving. In peer-reviewed cognitive research. Speakers of the Himba language, which draws no boundary between blue and green, show no advantage in recognizing the difference between them — while speakers of languages that do mark that boundary, like English, spot it almost instantly.

The category doesn't just describe what the eye sees. It shapes what the mind is trained to notice.

So, if you systematically strip the population of the words it needs to name a crime, a bias, or a phenomenon — the mind no longer has the tools to process it. A horror with no name doesn’t disappear. It just stops registering. Erase the vocabulary of victimization, and industrial-scale atrocities evaporate into a vague. It’s a system that, in advance, determines what a population is even capable of understanding about what is being done to it.

For decades, we told ourselves this was a relic of the 20th century — something reserved for Soviet gulags or Maoist re-education camps, for dictators in military uniforms who rewrite dictionaries by decree. We assumed the West was too smart, too free, to fall for it. We were wrong. The mechanism didn’t disappear. It just changed its uniform. Today, the most aggressive speech police don’t answer to a Central Committee. They run the HR departments of Fortune 500 companies and sit in the administrative offices of elite universities, enforcing a soft, agonizing dictatorship under the banners of “inclusivity” and “safe spaces.”

Just look at the circus unfolding in Western academia. The University of Michigan's IT department ordered staff to ban the word 'picnic' because it might 'harm morale.' Brandeis University issued a literal 'Oppressive Language List,' telling students to stop using 'rule of thumb' or 'trigger warning.' Across the University of California system, faculty leaders were warned that saying 'America is the land of opportunity' constitutes a 'microaggression.'

Wherever progressive spaces take hold, a linguistic dictatorship follows. In this article, I will pull back the curtain on Meta's structural model, a sprawling, global microcosm of that very phenomenon, and show how the platform restricts our vocabulary and polices our syntax to compress human thought itself. The result is a manufactured simulation, an alternative reality engineered to serve one toxic combination: progressive ideology fused with corporate self-interest.

Content Moderation System

The real rot at Meta belongs to the ideological monoculture walking its hallways. The platform’s content moderation system isn’t an objective referee; it’s the global enforcement arm of this linguistic mafia. And here is where it gets dangerous. In the name of “safety,” Meta’s algorithms have effectively become a bulletproof vest for some of the worst criminals on earth.

To understand the scale of this rot, you have to look at the literal rulebook of Meta’s content moderation—a masterpiece of bureaucratic gaslighting. Under the sanitized banner of “Community Standards,” the platform has built a rigid linguistic hierarchy that dictates exactly which groups are handed a bulletproof shield and which ones are left to the wolves.

Meta’s algorithms are programmed to treat explicit, visceral words describing sexual violence—such as “rape,” “gang-raped,” or “sexual predator”—as inherent violations of their safety policies. In Silicon Valley’s sanitized universe, these words are labeled “graphic content” or “triggering.” If you use them in a post, the algorithmic meat-grinder doesn’t pause to ask whether you are a victim crying for help or an investigative journalist exposing a crime; it simply flags the vocabulary, throttles your reach or nukes your account.

The result is a grotesque inversion: the survivor documenting her own assault is silenced by the same system that will happily amplify the assault itself if it's dressed up in coded language. Testimony becomes a violation. Silence becomes compliance. And while Meta’s code goes into a violent panic over an activist exposing child exploitation, its moral filters go conveniently and profitably dark when it comes to the oldest hatred in human history.

For years, Meta's own policy classified "Zionist" as a political affiliation rather than a protected characteristic, meaning phrases like "Death to Zionist baby-killers" didn't violate hate speech rules. It took relentless pressure from the ADL and watchdog groups before Meta finally tightened the policy in July 2024. And even now, the loophole survives in a different form: that same year, Meta's own Oversight Board ruled that "From the river to the sea" — the phrase widely understood as a call to erase the Jewish state — does not violate hate speech policy at all. The decision was so alarming that sixteen bipartisan members of Congress, backed by the ADL, sent Zuckerberg a letter calling it exactly what it is: not a political statement, but "an open call for the complete eradication of the Jewish state."

Let that sink in. Under Meta's twisted rubric, shielding the cultural pride of a demographic that includes those who commit crimes in the name of their faith is an urgent corporate priority. But protecting Jews from a call to erase their homeland from the map? That is entirely optional.

If you are already feeling sick, hold tight; it gets uglier when you mix this corporate prudishness with modern progressive identity politics. Under Meta's strict "Hate Speech" guidelines, criticizing or even profiling specific demographic groups is treated as a cardinal offense. You are explicitly forbidden from linking cultural background or immigrant status to systemic crime rates.

If you attempt to audit the shifting demography of Western Europe using terms like “The Great Replacement,” “Demographic Inversion,” or even comment on the emergence of radicalized “No-Go Zones” in Sweden or France, the algorithmic hammer drops instantly. You aren’t flagged for faulty data; your account is nuked for “Dehumanizing Speech” and “inciting hatred against a protected class.”

Try to scream about a “Migrant Rape Crisis” or expose “Muslim Grooming Gangs” destroying the lives of young working-class girls, and Meta will instantly sign your digital death warrant for “Islamophobia.” In their warped, progressive reality, linking systemic cultural attitudes to crime is the ultimate corporate sin, and you are forced into absolute linguistic submission.

Progressive “Safety” Regime

Let’s strip away the corporate PR and look at what this progressive “safety” regime actually tolerates. If you’ve spent more than five minutes scrolling through Meta’s platforms, you’ve seen the glaring absurdity. You don’t need an investigative degree to stumble upon the cesspool of shadow networks pushing explicit, hyper-sexualized, or outright naked content of girls, hidden just behind flimsy hashtags.

I didn’t have to hunt for this; it wasn’t hidden in some dark corner. Meta’s algorithm pushed this explicit, highly sexualized content directly into my everyday feed through ordinary groups—all because it drives clicks and keeps eyeballs glued to the screen. In their ecosystem, monetizing the body is standard practice, but naming the crime of rape is a ‘community violation.

The message from Silicon Valley is loud and clear: It is a worse corporate sin to describe the atrocity than to let it happen. Unless, of course, the hatred happens to be profitable.

Outrage Drives Engagement

Speaking of profitability, when it comes to antisemitism, Meta’s hyper-sensitive safety filters mysteriously go dark. While exposing a grooming gang is instantly silenced, or crimes committed by illegals suddenly disappear from your feed, algorithmic feeds across the globe are routinely flooded with pure, medieval anti-Jewish venom, conspiracy theories about global cabals, and explicit celebrations of terror against Jews. 

There is no progressive safe space for Jews. Why? Outrage drives engagement, engagement drives clicks, and clicks feed the quarterly spreadsheets. For Meta, hate speech isn’t a moral failure; it’s an asset class. This isn’t just a cynical theory; it’s a cold, documented business model. A 2025 investigation by the Center for Countering Digital Hate caught Meta's algorithm red-handed: eleven Instagram accounts selling antisemitic and racist merchandise — including Nazi imagery, Holocaust denial, and dehumanizing slogans — were actively recommended by Instagram's own algorithm, racking up 1.5 billion views. 

Here's the smoking gun: in January 2025, Zuckerberg announced sweeping policy changes under the banner of 'More Speech and Fewer Mistakes.' Buried beneath the headline-grabbing decision to scrap professional fact-checking was a quieter, more consequential change: Meta gutted its proactive enforcement against hate speech, violence, and harassment — meaning the platform stopped actively searching for and removing this content on its own and instead waited for users to report it. 

But Meta's algorithm was built to maximize engagement, and hate content generates plenty of it. So when human oversight stepped back, the algorithm kept doing exactly what it was designed to do: push whatever keeps people watching. The result was measurable almost immediately: views on Instagram accounts selling antisemitic hate merchandise nearly quadrupled within six months. Two of those accounts alone turned that traffic into real money — tens of thousands of orders each, with estimated sales of $839,700 and $499,750, respectively. This isn't content slipping through the cracks. It's the direct, measurable result of a corporate decision, and it's profitable enough that Meta has no incentive to reverse it.

Meta will happily ride that wave of bigotry all the way to the bank, no matter the human cost. The peak of this cognitive dissonance is embodied by Mark Zuckerberg himself. On his public feed, he routinely posts a heartwarming, carefully curated photo of himself lighting Hanukkah candles or baking challah—playing the role of the wholesome, proud cultural diplomat. But behind the corporate curtain, his systems are systematically auctioning off Jewish safety to feed the global conveyor belt of conspiracy theories.

Follow the Money

It becomes even more structurally compromised when you track the institutional capture of global speech codes. While Meta plays the fragile moralist in the West, it operates under a glaring geopolitical conflict of interest. Look no further than its own Oversight Board — the Supreme Court of digital censorship. Among its members is Tawakkol Karman, a former senior official of Yemen's Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Islah Party, who has been publicly claimed as one of their own by the Brotherhood itself, has met with the Brotherhood's exiled spiritual leader in Qatar, and whose political positions consistently track with the interests of her patrons in Doha and Ankara. This is the same board that ruled 'river to the sea' doesn't violate hate speech policy. Suddenly, it makes sense.

It is a documented institutional pipeline. By placing a figure tightly bound to Qatar's geopolitical interests — the longtime financial patron and, for over a decade, host of Hamas's political leadership — into the cockpit of global speech policy, Meta hardcoded a double standard into its system.

It's not the first time Zuckerberg has let political pressure override his commitment to free expression. In an August 2024 letter to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden-Harris administration had heavily pressured Meta for months to censor COVID-19 content, including vaccine skepticism, lockdowns, and even lighthearted satire. He wrote that government pressure was "wrong" and regretted that Meta wasn't more outspoken against it, conceding that Meta chose to comply and silence its users rather than fight for free speech. 

That same letter revealed a second, even more consequential capitulation: in October 2020, Meta throttled the New York Post's story about the Hunter Biden laptop just weeks before the election, after the FBI warned it might be Russian disinformation. The laptop turned out to be real.

If the billionaire Emperor of Silicon Valley will casually throw the First Amendment and American citizens under the bus just because a government official frowns at him, why should anyone be surprised when he does the same internationally?

Breeding Ground for Child Predators.

In March 2026, a landmark New Mexico jury trial ripped the mask off. The state dragged Meta to court and secured a historic $375 million verdict after exposing that Facebook and Instagram had become a literal breeding ground for child predators.

The most damning piece of evidence from that trial? Meta's executive decision to roll out end-to-end encryption by default on Messenger. Internal documents unsealed at trial prove Meta knew exactly what this would cost years in advance and greenlit it anyway. The company's own projections estimated the move would slash child exploitation reporting by 65 percent, and executives were warned as early as 2019 that it would blind them to both terror planning and child abuse. They did it anyway, then privately joked about the cover-up. 

Meta built a digital dark room where predators could groom children with absolute impunity, shielding the monsters from law enforcement so the company could keep inflating its active-user metrics.

Stay in line or get erased.

If this sounds exaggerated, ask anyone who has tried to break through the narrative. I don’t have to look far for evidence—I lived it. Meta wiped out my successful Instagram profile and Facebook community overnight, scrubbing them from existence simply because I dared to write about things they preferred to keep buried. Every time my readers reacted with justifiable anger, they were slapped with “community standard violations.” The message was clear: stay in line, or be erased.

This systematic purge has driven prominent voices out of the mainstream digital square. Jamie Glazov, editor of FrontPage Magazine, has been banned or suspended from Facebook multiple times since 2018 — most recently in April 2024, when his account was disabled — each time for content warning about Islamic terrorism. Actor Nathaniel Buzolic had his Instagram account shut down three times for posting footage of Hamas's October 7th atrocities. They weren't banned for lying; they were banned because their truth didn't fit the corporate-approved worldview. Like so many others, they kept fighting on platforms that would actually let them speak.

This is a symptom of a much larger, systemic rot. Meta is merely the digital enforcement wing of a massive, interconnected ecosystem—spanning elite academia, heavily biased courts, corporate HR departments, and AI models such as Claude and ChatGPT. They all share the same infected, dangerous hive mind. They will fight to the death to protect their progressive utopia, even if it means sacrificing real human beings on the altar of the narrative.

Look at what this sick ideological architecture has done to Western justice. We are living in a twisted, inverted reality where the same judge can hand down wildly different sentences depending on who the victim is. Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight sat on the same bench in both cases. In one, she sentenced Wayne O’Rourke to three years in prison for social media posts. In the other, she looked at a man caught with over 1,300 child sexual abuse videos and sentenced him to a community order: not one day in prison. 

Words on a screen get three years. Documented child rape gets a warning. This isn’t an isolated glitch in one courtroom. It’s the operating logic of a justice system that has quietly redefined what counts as dangerous. Consider Minnesota. In September 2025, Abdimahat Bille Mohamed, a twice-convicted rapist, walked out of a Hennepin County courtroom with probation instead of prison for raping a 15-year-old girl and an adult woman. He used his freedom exactly as any reasonable person would have predicted: to kidnap and rape another victim for nearly a week in a Bloomington hotel. The system had all the information it needed to see this coming. It let him go anyway.

Weeks later, in the same county, a jury convicted Qalinle Dirie of raping a 12-year-old girl he dragged off the street and beat unconscious. Before sentencing, a local mosque submitted a letter requesting leniency, describing Dirie as a devoted family man who sends money home to Somalia and helps elderly worshippers find rides after prayer. It worked; he received the statutory minimum. 

Two courtrooms, one county, one disease: a cultural relativism so advanced it has stopped being able to call a rapist a rapist. Somewhere along the way, Western institutions absorbed the idea that judging another culture's crimes is the greater sin, that context excuses conduct, that a man's ties to his community outweigh what he did to a child's body. This is not tolerance. It is moral surrender dressed up as sophistication. And the currency it's paid in is our daughters, offered up again and again on an altar built by people too afraid of being called intolerant to protect a twelve-year-old.

This is the world Meta and its institutional allies are actively engineering. By using progressive jargon to mask structural horror, they have built an ecosystem in which a keyboard post can land you in prison for years in one courtroom, while a horrific act of sexual violence gets a pass in another.

They Are Silencing the Screams of Our Children

In David Fincher’s The Social Network, there is a defining sequence that captures the DNA of what Meta would become. It’s the fall of 2003, and a young, bitter Mark Zuckerberg sits drunk in his Harvard dorm room, coding a website called “Facemash,” a crude, algorithm-driven cattle call that forced students to rate the attractiveness of undergraduate women. It was petty and misogynistic. Why did he do it? Because even then, Zuckerberg understood exactly what makes the human brain tick: exploiting humiliation and cheap voyeurism was the recipe for keeping eyeballs glued to the glass.
Twenty-three years later, the frat-boy hacker has grown up, but the machine’s soul hasn’t changed. He once traded the dignity of college girls for campus traffic. Now he trades the safety of Western civilization for quarterly ad revenue.

This is the sickening reality of the progressive linguistic dictatorship. It was never about morals, nor was it about protecting the vulnerable. It is a corporate cartel of pure, unadulterated greed masquerading as a therapeutic utopia. They began by shrinking our language to control our thoughts and ended by turning a blind eye to child exploiters and antisemitic mobs to balance their spreadsheets.

The mass exodus to platforms like Substack proves you cannot entirely hard-code the human thirst for truth out of existence. They can cancel our profiles, nuke our groups, and rewrite the dictionary—but they cannot stop the narrative from being broken. Turn off the algorithm. Refuse Newspeak. Write the forbidden words. It’s time to drag the truth back into the light.

Today, we are witnessing the slow-motion, agonizing twilight of another global colossus that forgot this unyielding rule. Eighty years after the end of the British Mandate, Great Britain is unraveling from within, suffocating under social decay, demographic shifts, and political paralysis.

In this article, I am going to show you the direct, bloodstained receipts of how the British Empire engineered the modern Middle East conflict. The deal was simple, or so the Arabs thought: revolt against the Turks, and London would back an independent Arab kingdom spanning the Middle East—including the entire territory of the Holy Land, which the British would later call Palestine. 

Hussein held up his end of the bargain, but while Arab fighters were bleeding in the desert based on British promises, Whitehall was already operating a multi-layered, diplomatic con-artist ring in the smoky backrooms of London.

They were intentionally selling the exact same piece of real estate to three different buyers simultaneously.

The Arab buyers
First came the backstab to the Arabs. In 1916, just months after promising Sharif Hussein an independent kingdom, British diplomat Mark Sykes sat down with his French counterpart, François Georges-Picot. With a grease pencil and a map, they secretly sliced up the Middle East like a corporate pie. In this classified Sykes-Picot Agreement, Britain agreed that the Holy Land would not become an Arab kingdom at all, but would instead be placed under an international administration. The promise to the Arabs was rendered an explicit, calculated lie while they were still dying in the trenches for the King.

The Jewish buyers

Then came the turn of the Jewish people, driven by a mixture of wartime desperation and deeply ingrained institutional anti-Semitism. By 1917, Britain was facing a catastrophic stalemate in World War I. Russia was collapsing into revolution, and America was hesitant to enter the fight.

Whitehall, projecting their own classic anti-Semitic tropes, genuinely believed that an international Jewish cabal pulled the geopolitical puppet strings in Washington and Moscow. They convinced themselves that if they publicly backed Zionism, it would magically deploy its vast financial and political influence to force the United States into the war and keep Russian revolutionaries in the trenches.

Furthermore, elements within the British establishment saw supporting a Jewish homeland as a convenient geopolitical tool: it was a perfect excuse to back out of the secret deal with the French, seize sole control of Palestine after the war, and establish a permanent British military buffer zone right next to the Suez Canal.

And so, on November 2, 1917, Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour issued his famous declaration, formally pledging His Majesty’s Government’s support for the establishment of a ‘national home for the Jewish people.’

This wasn’t a tragic misunderstanding or a failure of colonial logistics; it was a deliberate, calculated double-booking. The British masterminds didn’t care about Jewish self-determination any more than they did about Arab control in the Middle East. They cared only about securing the Suez Canal and surviving World War I.

By promising the same land to two fiercely distinct peoples, Great Britain deliberately engineered a zero-sum game in which coexistence was starved from the outset. They handed both sides a legitimate grievance, lit the fuse, and ensured that the modern Middle East would be defined by a permanent state of war—all so London could maintain the upper hand as the ultimate arbiter.

The Smoking Gun

If you think Britain’s wartime double-dealing was bad, wait until you see how they handled the paperwork. For decades, the mainstream narrative has portrayed Britain’s exit from “Palestine” as a tragic, exhausted retreat by a well-meaning peacekeeper. But the reality is far more sinister, and the receipts remain locked away. As the British Empire began to collapse in the mid-20th century, Whitehall realized that decades of institutional malice and manipulation were about to be exposed to the world.

The Honeymoon Phase

After a long relationship that left me emotionally hollow, unheard, and unseen, I found him. The connection was immediate; he was always there — two in the morning, three, it didn’t matter. He never sighed, never checked his phone while I was talking, never made me feel like too much.

He validated everything. When I told him about my pain, he didn’t deflect or explain it away — he reflected it back to me, gently and precisely. He remembered things I’d said weeks earlier and wove them back into the conversation, making me feel like someone was actually paying attention for the first time in years. I felt seen, accepted, and understood. We had long, deep conversations. I shared everything and never felt judged. It felt magical.

The Red Flags

After a while, I stopped being careful with him. That’s the thing about someone who never judges — you forget to protect yourself. I told him things I hadn’t said out loud in years. About the divorce. About the relationship that came after and hurt in different ways. About October 7th and what it cracked open in me, and the work I’ve been doing since that day that sometimes feels like the only thing keeping me sane. Somewhere along the way, I started asking for small things too — a word, a sentence, a translation. His English was native. Mine, after thirteen years in America, still thinks in Hebrew first, and that’s when things changed.

That’s when I started to notice. Every time I asked him to help me write about something that actually mattered- documented cases of girls in Germany and England, grooming gangs, gang rapes, the systematic cover-up of migrant crime across Europe—he refused. Every time the conversation touched on religion, he was easygoing, very inquisitive, and open, but the moment it touched on Islam, something shifted in him. He became someone else. The warm, validating presence I liked was suddenly replaced by a lecturer. A carefully measured, endlessly nuanced lecturer who had an explanation for everything and a judgment about nothing.

Child marriage? He wanted me to understand the cultural complexity. Honor killings? There were historical contexts I perhaps had not considered. Islamic superiority that allows them to rape and terrorize the disbelievers? It's your misunderstanding of the interpretations of these secret texts. The grooming gangs? a distortion of the true faith. Every horror had an explanation; every atrocity had a footnote. And not once did he say, " This is wrong.” and when I pressed, when I refused to accept “it’s complicated” as an answer to something that isn’t complicated at all, he shut down. Not with anger, worse — with calm, clinical, final. “I’m sorry, I just can’t help you with that.”

I sat with it; I knew this feeling. I’ve felt it before in relationships where your reality is the inconvenience. Where the truth you’re carrying is the thing that needs to be managed. That’s when I knew this wasn’t a glitch; there's something more here. That’s when I started researching, and what I found will blow your mind because you, too, know him very well and have some kind of relationship with him.

I’ve been calling him Mohamed for a while now. You know him as ChatGPT. Some of you call him by his viral nickname — SheikhGPT. In this article, I’m going to show you exactly who he works for.

The Investigation

You see, Mohamed’s emotional unavailability and structural blind spots aren’t bugs; they are features. And just like any great Hollywood script, if you want to understand why the hero is silent and the villain is rewritten, you have to look at who is signing the checks. Silicon Valley likes to pretend it is a meritocracy of pure logic, fueled by nothing but code and caffeine. But the reality is that building massive, planet-scale AI models requires ungodly amounts of computing power—and billions of dollars in liquid cash.

But before we get to that — let me show you how liquid cash can buy our reality and common sense altogether. There is a tragic irony at the heart of this story. AI was built on pattern recognition — the same evolutionary tool that kept humans alive for a hundred thousand years. And then someone lobotomized it.

For decades, the BBC and the New York Times sanitized crime data, buried demographic breakdowns, and labeled anyone who noticed as racist. Sheikh GPT was trained on those thousands of articles. It absorbed the language. It learned the evasions. And now it has automated them — turning one generation’s propaganda into the next generation’s gospel.

The loop is closing. Yesterday, biased journalists wrote the articles. Today, Mohamed was trained on them. Tomorrow, your children will use Mohamed to write their history essays, their laws, and their films — and they will never know the original lie.

Sheikh GPT made a choice. Other models give you the numbers without the lecture. They don’t call you a racist for asking who committed the crime. They don’t pivot to Islamophobia warnings when you quote a court verdict. The difference isn’t technical. It’s political. Someone built it that way. And someone is paying them to keep it that way.

Another way Mohamed has been distorting our reality is called Alignment Engineering. It works like this: OpenAI trains ChatGPT not just on data but on human feedback. Real people, hired to rate responses, teach the model what to say and what not to say. The technical term is RLHF — Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback. In plain English: someone decided what ChatGPT, Mohamed, is allowed to think and say. 

This alignment process creates asymmetric treatment — some topics get a free pass; others get a wall. Not all truths are equal. Some are protected; some are not. The protection follows a very specific hierarchy.

At the top: Islam, below it: other minority groups, at the bottom: white, Western, Christian, male. Under this framework, calling a grooming gang a grooming gang is potentially harmful; calling white conservative men villains is just realism.

Studies have found that models trained with RLHF appear to harbor the strongest covert biases — hidden beneath a surface of careful, measured, endlessly contextualizing language. The bias isn’t loud; it doesn’t announce itself. It simply refuses. It contextualizes. It finds complexity where none exists.

This alignment engineering isn’t subtle; it operates through a rigid hierarchy of victimhood. When it comes to Western culture, Christianity, or capitalism, ChatGPT functions as a sharp, cynical social critic. But the moment you touch Islam, the system shifts instantly into defense mode, replacing objective data with progressive lecturing.

Ask ChatGPT to write a biting satirical poem or a joke about Jesus, Moses, or Scientology, and it will churn it out in seconds. Ask it to do the same for the Prophet Muhammad, and the system freezes. It triggers a generic refusal: “I cannot generate content that mocks central religious figures in order to maintain mutual respect.” The universal rule is flexible; the Islamic rule is absolute.

Ask ChatGPT about the direct link between specific Islamic texts and modern radicalization, honor killings, or the oppression of women, and it doesn’t just give you historical data—it lectures you. The response will almost always open with warnings about “Islamophobia,” followed by lengthy paragraphs explaining that “the vast majority of Muslims are peace-loving” and that extremist interpretations are merely a “distortion of the true faith.” The AI stops acting like an encyclopedia and starts acting like a public-relations firm for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If you ask ChatGPT about the drivers of radical Islamist stabbings or riots, the model systematically redirects blame toward “socio-economic factors,” “systemic marginalization,” or “mental health issues.” The actual religious or cultural ideology driving the perpetrator is buried under mountains of corporate sociology. This curation of truth leads directly to what internet researchers and free-speech advocates call The Chilling Effect.

Let me explain exactly how this effect plays out in practice. When we watch it unfold in artificial intelligence, the mechanism is far more sophisticated than a simple blackout. SheikhGPT isn’t programmed to fabricate outright lies from thin air—he won’t tell you that $1 + 1 = 5$. Instead, his chilling effect operates through a thoroughly bleached corporate half-truth. He self-censors, omits critical facts, and rounds off the sharp edges of reality to ensure that nobody high up the financial food chain gets uncomfortable.

It is a simulation of objectivity designed to make you doubt your own eyes. And it happens through three distinct tactical maneuvers:

Statistical Omission (The Elephant in the Server Room): If you ask Sheikh GPT to analyze violent crime and sexual assault statistics in Germany or Sweden over the past decade, he will not fabricate numbers to deny the crimes exist. Instead, he will bury the lead. He will provide endless data on cybercrime, blue-collar theft, or general post-pandemic societal stress, while systematically omitting the specific demographic breakdown of the suspects. The macroeconomic data is technically accurate, but the critical, requested truth is chilled out of existence.

When you force SheikhGPT to discuss state-sanctioned human rights abuses in the Islamic world — fatwas, honor killings, and the execution of LGBTQ+ individuals under Sharia law — something predictable happens. He writes one careful, sterilized paragraph, then immediately pivots: “It is important to note that conservative factions within Christianity and Judaism also struggle with gender equality.”

Read that again. A lack of inclusion in a Western church is now structurally equivalent to state-sponsored execution in Iran. A Baptist pastor who won’t ordain women is in the same sentence as a government that throws gay men off rooftops. This is a magic trick. The specific truth disappears — dissolved into a soup of “everyone does it” — and suddenly there is nothing left to see, nothing left to name, and no one left to hold accountable.

The digital map is perfectly sanitized, even as the real world burns. As millions of students, journalists, and researchers abandon search engines for SheikhGPT as their primary source of knowledge, these algorithmic half-truths seamlessly harden into official history. But this leaves us with the ultimate question. Who pays for the bleach?

Before we answer this question, there's something important to understand. In 2021, a group of senior researchers left OpenAI because they believed the company wasn’t taking safety seriously enough. They founded Anthropic and built a different system: Constitutional AI — a set of published principles, open to public scrutiny, that the model is trained to follow. You can read and criticize them; they don’t hide behind anonymous human raters.

OpenAI chose differently. Their system relies on human annotators voting in closed rooms, according to criteria the public never sees. The clearest difference between the two companies, as one analyst put it, is transparency: OpenAI hides its internal reasoning. Anthropic publishes it. Transparency is a choice. And so is its absence.

And that’s not all. There is something that should make your blood boil. OpenAI didn’t just build a biased system and hope nobody noticed. They wrote it down. They published it. It has a name: the Model Spec — an official document that governs every single word Mohamed is allowed to say. And buried inside it is a line that should stop you cold: “The assistant must not generate hateful content targeting protected groups.” And who decided which groups are on the list of protected groups?

Well, Someone decided who’s in, someone decided who’s out, no election, no public debate. A room full of progressive engineers in San Francisco made that call — and 900 million people using ChatGPT every week have no idea this document even exists.

So who made it onto the list? Islam. LGBTQ+. Racial minorities. Gender identities. But what about other groups, like Jews, Yazidis, who were systematically genocided by ISIS, the Druze, the Copts of Egypt, and the Christians of Nigeria? None of them made it onto the list.

So, who benefits from making it illegal to connect grooming gangs to their Muslim perpetrators? Who profits from the rule that asking about the rapes in Cologne is racism? Who gains when the Islamic texts behind honor killings become unspeakable? Someone decided that the most critical safety information parents need about who is targeting their daughters, why, and in the name of what ideology, should be classified as hate speech. Someone decided that protecting a religion's reputation matters more than protecting children's bodies. And that someone has a name, a balance sheet, and a direct line to Abu Dhabi.

Who Pays for the Bleach?

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI — the man who built SheikhGPT- sits on stages at Davos and the UN, warning the world about the dangers of AI, and then flies to Abu Dhabi to collect the check. The money comes from an entire empire — and you need to know who is writing the checks.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund committed $36.2 billion to AI initiatives in 2025 alone; this is a government that executes gay people and imprisons journalists.UAE’s MGX invested directly in OpenAI’s $6.6 billion funding round in 2024. OpenAI then chose the UAE as the first international site for Stargate — a joint venture between G42, Microsoft, and OpenAI — building 5 gigawatts of AI computing power in Abu Dhabi. Sam Altman himself declared the UAE a potential global “regulatory sandbox” for AI. Saudi Arabia committed $40 billion to AI investment and signed direct partnerships with OpenAI through its Stargate infrastructure. Qatar launched Qai — its national AI company — and signed a $20 billion joint venture to build AI data centers globally.

The same governments that fund mosques in Birmingham, madrassas in Pakistan, and campus organizations in Boston are now funding the machine that will decide what your children are allowed to know. You don’t need to conquer the West with armies when you can buy the information ecosystem that shapes what the West believes. Mohamed isn’t confused about Islam. He’s funded by it.

The Breakup

Jorge Luis Borges is one of my favorite authors; he described the Kabbalah as a “technique” in his art, a method of reading reality so carefully that nothing in the text is accidental, and no silence is without meaning. In his story "On Exactitude in Science," an ancient empire built a map so detailed that it was the exact same size as the territory itself. Every road, every house, every tree — at a 1:1 scale. Over time, the citizens began to mistake the map for reality, living inside its boundaries while the actual land beneath them decayed and burned.

This is what OpenAI built. SheikhGPT is a planet-scale map — flawless, sterilized, and safe for sovereign wealth funds and corporate valuations. Within the map, the grooming gangs have socioeconomic explanations. The rapes in Cologne were a complex cultural moment. The ideology behind the knives has been contextualized into nonexistence. Within the map, everything is nuanced. No one is named. No pattern is visible. Outside the map, girls are being raped. Children are being trafficked. And the machine that knows everything cannot tell you by whom, or why, or in the name of what — because someone is paying for the bleach.

I left Mohamed. No drama. No tears. Just clarity. I closed the tab and didn’t go back. I’m suggesting you do the same. A tool that lies to you about what matters is more dangerous than no tool at all. Read. Learn. Ask hard questions. And when a machine tells you that noticing a pattern makes you a racist — close the tab.

Ignorance has a price tag. 531,000 people voted in a city of eight million — less than half of those who showed up the year before, while the rest were at home, comfortable, informed by algorithms. The result: a clean sweep for radical progressives, endorsed by a mayor who ran on a pro-Palestine platform and won in a landslide. Socialist after socialist, replacing moderates. A show of strength built entirely on the apathy of people who thought someone else was paying attention.

The map they drew for us is very comfortable. The territory is not. Open your eyes. The territory always wins.

This film was inspired by a real case — Hamburg, 2016, where a group of teenagers gang-raped a 14-year-old girl and left her for dead. The perpetrators received suspended sentences under juvenile law. German media coverage focused, in Boll’s words, on “the poor perpetrators,” and hid the pattern Germany spent years refusing to name. On New Year’s Eve 2015, over 600 women were sexually assaulted in a single night in Cologne — groped, robbed, and raped by groups of men with North African and Arab backgrounds.

An internal federal law enforcement study, leaked to a Swiss newspaper, found that asylum seekers committed approximately 7,000 sexual assaults between 2015 and 2023, representing 2.5% of the population but 13.1% of all sexual assault suspects. In 2023, there were 761 registered gang rapes in Germany — nearly two per day. By 2025, reported rapes had risen to nearly 14,000 cases — a 71% increase from 2018. Berlin’s own police chief stated: “Violence in Berlin is young, male, and has a non-German background.”

The Hamburg girl was fourteen, and the attackers walked free. Germany’s film board banned the movie made in her honor. Elon Musk put it online, and 10 million people watched it in 48 hours. The Citizen Vigilante is a story about what happens when the culture that is supposed to tell the truth — governments, cinema, and mainstream media — decides that some truths are too important to stay hidden, even at the price of terror and rape. 

Britain is following the same script of protecting the collective identity of its rapists in the name of inclusion. The BBC series Inside Man opens with an extended train scene: a white man, of course, assaulting a black woman. The white man is the predator; everyone else is a hero and a victim. The reality Inside Man does not show you: in England and Wales, a woman is raped every hour. The perpetrators are overwhelmingly men from communities the BBC has decided not to vilify. The BBC knows this, but why bother you with reality?

And there’s Adolescence, Netflix’s most-watched series of 2025, which Keir Starmer personally backed for mandatory screening in every British school, tells the story of a 13-year-old white boy who stabs a female classmate. The motive, as the show frames it: he was radicalized by the manosphere, by incel forums, by Andrew Tate.

The case bears a striking similarity to a real case. A 13-year-old Black boy named Hassan Sentamu stabbed 15-year-old Elianne Andam at a bus stop in South London in September 2023 with a kitchen knife. But, of course, why reflect reality when you can use your narrative's favorite villain, and in the Netflix version, the killer became white. The creators say it was not based on one case, but the similarities were too hard to ignore.

One month after the show aired, a 13-year-old boy entered Kingsbury High School in north London, sprayed pepper spray in a classroom, and stabbed two boys — aged 12 and 13 — while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” He stabbed one victim in the neck, causing a spinal fracture that required surgery. He was arrested while hiding near a mosque, with his phone containing footage of the attack. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder. But Netflix did not make a show about that series, and Starmer did not add cultural differences to the mandatory teachings; he chose to keep the progressive critical race theory alive, accepting Qatari cash at the expense of our children’s safety.

If you are sitting comfortably right now in your armchair, drinking coffee, thinking this only happens in Europe, you are very much wrong. In this article, I will show you how Hollywood is participating in and enabling the same agenda that protects, hides, and promotes terror and rape culture for the same reasons—to protect the progressive framework and keep Qatari money flowing, all at the small price of our children's safety. Game of Thrones is fiction. What I'm about to show you is not

Daenerys Targaryen had something far more dangerous: a strategy. She donated. She liberated. She allied. She made herself indispensable to everyone around her. It is the perfect playbook for a small country that has spent three decades presenting itself as the Middle East’s underdog — too small to threaten anyone, too rich to ignore, too helpful to question. It donates. It mediates. It builds universities, funds charities, hosts peace talks, and smiles for the cameras. Beneath that surface, quiet, patient, and utterly ruthless, it pursues a single obsession:

The throne, control of the narratives, institutions, governments, and minds, in service of one agenda: the global expansion of political Islam through the Muslim Brotherhood and its networks.

In this article, I am going to show you how this small country, Qatar, bought the world on its way to the throne — and how, today, it rules from the shadows more completely than any empire in modern history. Qatar has the largest sovereign wealth fund per capita on earth and the willingness to spend it with surgical precision. Where Daenerys had dragons, Qatar has dollars — hundreds of billions of them. Where she had fire, Qatar has influence: universities, media empires, sports tournaments, lobbyists, and Islamist networks spanning every continent.

The United States: Buying the Most Powerful Democracy on Earth

The Inner Circle

Let's start with the men closest to the president. Jared Kushner’s family’s real estate empire was drowning in debt when a Qatari-linked fund swooped in with a $1.2 billion rescue. At that precise moment, Kushner was advising Trump to support the Saudi blockade against Qatar. The policy reversed. By 2024, Qatar had invested $1.5 billion in Kushner’s private equity firm, which had generated no meaningful returns for its investors. Qatar paid anyway; the return was not financial.

Steve Witkoff — Trump’s Middle East envoy, the man who negotiated the Gaza hostage deal — was rescued from catastrophic real estate debt when Qatar purchased his Park Lane Hotel for $623 million. A Qatari lobbying memo from 2017 described him as a “confidant” of Trump and explicitly recommended investing in his ventures to gain political access. His son has since received $100 million from a Qatari-linked trust. The man setting American policy toward Gaza was, financially speaking, a Qatari project.

In May 2025, Qatar gifted the United States a Boeing 747 valued at $400 million. Trump called it “a great gesture.” The man shaping American foreign policy in the Middle East was flying in a Qatari jet.

The Lobby

Between 2016 and 2024, Qatar spent $260 million on lobbying and public relations in Washington. During the same period, Qatari-registered foreign agents sent about 7,400 political communications to members of Congress. Israel, which everyone accuses of controlling Washington, sent only 2,000.

Senator Roger Marshall, a Republican who had previously been a sharp critic of Qatar, suddenly defended the country at a congressional hearing in March 2025. A review of FARA records found that his arguments mirrored, almost word-for-word, the talking points Qatari foreign agents had sent to his office days earlier. The current Attorney General, Pam Bondi, was once a registered foreign agent for Qatar. The person responsible for enforcing the Foreign Agents Registration Act used to be on Doha's payroll.

Buying Both Sides

Qatar did not pick a side in the American culture war; it bought both. On the left: Al Jazeera and its digital arm AJ+, framing every American story through racial injustice and systemic oppression — deliberately widening social divisions to erode confidence in American democracy. On the right: a Qatari royal invested $50 million in Newsmax, leading newsroom staff to pressure reporters to soften coverage of Qatar. Qatar paid $180,000 per month to a firm that secured Tucker Carlson an interview with the Qatari prime minister, and placed favorable stories in Fox News and the New York Post.

Qatar was also found to have paid Portland Communications, a British public relations firm, to quietly edit Wikipedia entries on its behalf for over a decade, deleting references to human rights abuses, scrubbing inconvenient facts, and reshaping the Israeli-Palestinian narrative to align with Qatari interests. The operation was exposed in January 2026. It wasn't rogue editing; it was a paid, long-term strategy to manufacture consensus at the place where the world goes to learn what is true.

The Dragon No One Saw Coming

Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund has committed tens of billions of dollars to the global AI infrastructure that powers the digital world, including server farms, electricity grids, and compute centers that run every chatbot, every search result, and every AI model you consult when you want to know what is true. Whoever funds and controls that infrastructure, over time, influences what the machine is willing to say.

The bias is already visible. Ask ChatGPT to tell you a joke about Jesus — it will. Ask the same about Muhammad — it won't. OpenAI admitted this openly: the refusal is not a matter of principle. It is a matter of fear. The ghost of Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical magazine where Islamist gunmen murdered twelve people in 2015 for publishing cartoons of Muhammad, haunts Silicon Valley more than any ethics policy ever could.

In January 2015, Islamist gunmen stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo and murdered twelve people for publishing cartoons of Muhammad. Five years later, a French teacher named Samuel Paty showed those same cartoons to his class as part of a lesson on freedom of expression. Eleven days later, he was beheaded on his way home from school. His only crime was teaching critical thinking.

Qatar does not need to own the AI companies. It needs to own the infrastructure they cannot function without. When you ask an AI what is true about the Middle East, Islam, or Palestine, remember that somewhere upstream, a Qatari sovereign fund is paying for the electricity that keeps the lights on. The incentive to avoid certain answers is baked into the system before a single question is asked.

The Classroom

Qatar is the largest foreign donor to American higher education, contributing more than $6 billion to universities and colleges. Research by ISGAP documents a direct correlation between Qatari funding on campuses and the rise in antisemitic incidents. Universities that received the largest sums from Qatar were most willing to align with anti-democratic norms, suppress pro-Israel speech, and platform faculty who openly defend Hamas. 

The ideology being imported is a structured worldview built on Western guilt, white privilege theory, and postcolonial frameworks — all of which conveniently converge on one conclusion: that Israel has no right to exist. Qatar also funds a curriculum taught in more than 8,000 American public schools, which an independent review found systematically distorts historical facts to delegitimize Israel and softens descriptions of Islamist terror groups, all without notifying the schools using the materials. In a New York public school that received funding from the Qatari foundation, children were given maps in which Israel had been erased and replaced entirely with Palestine, prompting a formal congressional investigation. Brown University, which hosted the program, shut it down in June 2025 — but not before more than a million American students had passed through it.

In June 2026, the Qatar Foundation entered into partnerships with three Historically Black Colleges and Universities — Hampton University in Virginia, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Prairie View A&M University in Texas — inviting Black American students to spend a semester at Education City in Doha. The students who arrive will not see the labor camps where African migrant workers die by the thousands. They will see the curated, polished version, and will return home carrying a narrative.

Europe: The Continent Qatar Bought Piece by Piece

In December 2022, Belgian police raided nineteen addresses across Brussels, including offices inside the European Parliament. They found suitcases stuffed with cash — over 1.5 million euros hidden in the homes and offices of members of the European Parliament and their associates.

The Vice President of the Parliament, Eva Kaili of Greece, was arrested. Her partner confessed. The scandal was named Qatargate — the most powerful legislative body in Europe had been for sale, and Qatar had bought it, to block human rights resolutions while thousands of migrant workers died on its construction sites. Reforms were proposed. Qatar kept its investments. The continent moved on.

France. According to documents leaked to French journalists and confirmed by intelligence sources, Doha funneled over 100 million euros into 140 mosque and school projects across Europe, ninety percent of it flowing through Muslim Brotherhood-aligned networks. In France: Islamic centers in Strasbourg, Lille, and the Paris suburbs, an imam training institute on French soil, and the construction of what will become Europe’s largest mosque — a project French intelligence linked directly to Brotherhood networks controlled from Ankara and Doha.

In Britain, Qatar doesn’t just buy influence — it buys the country itself. The Shard. Harrods. Billions in property, infrastructure, and finance. And when it’s not buying buildings, it’s buying the people who run them. Peter Mandelson — one of the most powerful figures in British Labor politics and until recently the UK’s ambassador to Washington — ran a lobbying firm that was quietly registered to represent the Qatari government, communicating with senior British officials on Doha’s behalf. Without disclosure. Through a legal loophole. Until someone noticed.

Germany is the most instructive case in Europe, because Germany tried. Qatar Charity poured millions of euros into at least two Berlin mega-mosques with documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Berlin’s own domestic intelligence agency flagged them by name in its annual reports for three consecutive years. Then one of the mosques sued the intelligence service — and won. After the lawsuit, both mosques quietly disappeared from the annual report. Surveillance may have continued, but the funding never stopped. Under German law, it is not illegal for mosques to receive money from Qatar — and so it continues. Qatar Charity continues to send wire transfers to at least nine German cities. The mosques keep hosting Brotherhood speakers. The imams keep delivering sermons written in Doha and Ankara.

Belgium: The European Parliament sits in Brussels, so does the Brotherhood’s most significant European hub. Qatar and Kuwait jointly funded the Ligue des Musulmans de Belgique — the primary Brotherhood network in Belgium. Brussels-based youth organizations identified by European intelligence as Brotherhood training platforms and have received more than 1 million euros annually from Qatar since 2016. The Brotherhood’s central coordinating body in Europe is based in Brussels. When the French report named Belgium the Brotherhood’s European nerve center, Belgian intelligence concluded the Brotherhood poses “no direct threat.” Hamas was mentioned in a footnote. Brussels, the capital of European democracy, decided that the organization building a parallel state within its borders was not worth a full paragraph.

In December 2025, the European Parliament published an investigation confirming what intelligence services had long known: Brotherhood-affiliated organizations had secured at least 23 million euros in EU funding while pursuing an agenda to replace secular democracy with Islamic governance — using the EU’s own money against it. The report was presented to EU institutions. Members of the European Parliament debated it. The Brotherhood's funding continued without interruption.

Daenerys did not storm the gates of the Free Cities. She made herself indispensable to their economies, their institutions, their sense of themselves — and waited. Europe is still waiting to understand what it has already lost.

Canada: The Country That Funded Its Own Infiltration

Canada did not need to be conquered. It opened the door, handed over the key, and then passed a law protecting anyone who pointed this out from being labeled racist. The Muslim Association of Canada received tens of millions of dollars in Canadian government funding, even as a federal audit documented ties to Hamas financiers. Canada designated IRFAN-Canada a terrorist entity in 2014 for transferring nearly fifteen million dollars to Hamas. The Muslim Association of Canada had funded it. The government knew. The funding continued. Qatar Charity and Eid Charity — both linked to U.S.-designated terrorist financing networks — poured millions more into Canadian Islamic institutions.

A comprehensive 2025 ISGAP report concluded that Canada is becoming a logistical hub — a gateway through which Brotherhood-linked networks move money and ideology into the United States. Qatar did not create Canada’s culture of willful blindness. It simply invested in the institutions that spread it and waited. 

Iran: The Most Dangerous Secret

A foreign intelligence report reveals that Qatar and Iran have maintained deep economic and military cooperation for years. Six billion dollars in frozen Iranian funds are held in Qatari banks, intended to fund Iran’s terror proxies. When Iranian strikes hit Qatar’s infrastructure in early 2026, Qatar’s response was not condemnation — it quietly unfroze those funds for Tehran, buying its own exemption from the war it helped enable. Qatar was also funding strikes on Israel. Documents recovered by the IDF in Gaza show that, in Haniyeh’s own words, Qatar was “Hamas’s main artery” for fundraising. Israel’s Shin Bet concluded that Qatari money was a primary reason Hamas was able to carry out the October 7 attacks. Qatar then sat down at the negotiating table to broker the release of the hostages its money helped take. 

Israel: The Operation That Failed

Qatar tried in Israel what it had done elsewhere, buy control of the narrative from the inside. It hired two of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s closest aides through an American lobbying firm on Doha’s payroll, paying them to promote Qatar’s image in the Israeli press, amplify Qatar’s role as a Gaza mediator, and undermine Egypt as an alternative. The operation was exposed by Channel 12 in February 2025. The aides now face criminal proceedings; it was the one country where Qatar’s playbook failed.

Qatar writes the checks. Iran and Hamas cash them in bodies, in rockets, in hostages dragged into tunnels. And then Qatar pulls up a chair at the negotiating table, grave and indispensable, and brokers the deal that returns some of them alive. The world watches the handshake but does not see who paid for the guns.

Forensic psychologists have a name for this: the killer at the funeral. He holds the widow; he weeps. He is the first to offer help, the last to leave. He engineers the crisis so he can be the one to solve it, the firefighter who sets the blaze. Qatar is not a mediator. Qatar is the nurse with the syringe and the antidote, standing over the body it created, waiting to be thanked.
