It’s been a minute, but we’re back with what’s hopefully going to become a weekly roundup of our favorite items that we don’t sell. During our IG Live Sales we get lots of girls asking about pieces we’re wearing that aren’t actually for sale at Well Dressed (tragic, we know), so we’ve decided to create a quick list to make it easy for you to shop — because gate keeping is not hot.

Liz’s Silk Laundry Slip Dress

From Liz: I literally can’t get enough of this dress. I’ve had it for a few years and I wear it all the time. It’s a great length, super soft silk, never static-y, and feels sexy as hell. I layer it over a black turtleneck or a white baby tee when it’s cooler out, and then throw a chunky cardigan or leather jacket over. It looks great with boots, sneakers, and loafers in the colder months, and kitten heels or sandals in the summer. It’s an amazingly versatile piece for taking on a trip and if you don’t have it… you should. I have it in medium, but def could have also worn a small.

Liz’s Staud Boots

From Liz: I have these in black leather, but I’m going to order them in suede as well. They go with almost any skirt, dress or shorts, look great, and are super comfortable to walk in. I love that they’ve got a baby heel so you get a little lift without looking like a ho (which IMO can happen pretty easily with a heeled knee-high boot). They’re priced well for the quality and I guarantee you’ll wear them all the time, just like I do. They run true-to-size.

Macy’s Levis

Macy looked so cute in these that Liz bought a pair :)

From Macy: They have very (very) light stretch and run true-to-size. Liz and I both have them in the color Shaded View (shown above), which is just super crisp and clean… and truly you cannot beat the price. They give you nice, long lines and are comfy enough to wear all day and night.

Liz’s Lip Combo

From Liz: My former makeup artist in NYC recommended this combo, and I’ve got to tell you, I feel sexy AF when wearing it. It’s def going to be my new everyday default for the foreseeable future. It’s Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Iconic Nude + Mac Lipglass Air in Snobbish. I really, really love the Tilbury shade, which is slightly more brown than its more famous Pillow Talk counterpart. (I also have that liner, but Iconic Nude is my new king.) Bonnie already bought this set, so we successfully influenced ourselves :)

Bonnie’s New Fave Mascara

From Bonnie: This is the most volumizing mascara I’ve ever used! I loooove that it doesn’t clump and that the color is sooo black. It’s a new staple for me, for sure.

Liz’s Agolde Jeans

From Liz: I’ve got the Agolde ‘90s Pinch Waist High-Rise Straight jeans in 7 different washes and I wear every single one of them all the time. They’re high-waisted but still make your a** look great (not an easy feat!). My current favorites are Hitch and Pendulum because they look great with my new The Row loafers. (Linked those on a whim… they are ‘spensive but worth every single penny. They run large, so size down at least 1.5 sizes.)

My first luxury bag purchase was in November 2005 at the Chanel store in Soho, New York. I used my newly issued AmEx to purchase a medium Classic Double Flap in black lambskin with a silver chain. (My AmEx was promptly shut off and it took me about one year to fully pay it off.) But 20 years later, I still own that bag. I still use that bag. And I still remember how I felt when I bought it.

It felt like anything was possible. I knew it wasn’t a “good” decision, but I also knew that since I was supporting myself (more or less) I was free to make bad decisions as I saw fit. And something about that was… liberating??

It’s the first time I remember doing something that I knew my parents would never do, and maybe that’s what made it so special. At some point, if you pay attention, you realize that you are your own person, independent of your family, with the option to do things differently. For me, that point was buying a Chanel Double Flap that I could not afford with full confidence I would pay down that debt.

Looking back, I see that it was a very contained example of a much bigger truth: I’m a much bigger risk-taker than most people in my immediate family. For me, there’s fun in the unknown, and I’m comfortable with being a little reckless.

20 years ago, the unknown was how I was going to pay for that bag. (I paid for it by taking extra work as a gossip reporter for Us Weekly and the New York Post on nights and weekends.) Today, the unknowns feel weightier and the stakes feel higher. But I think that’s typical — whatever you’re facing right now feels the biggest and the scariest, and, if you’re lucky, the most exciting.

We’re approaching a tipping point with Well-Dressed, one that requires specializations neither Bonnie nor I have, which means we have to push out of our comfort zones, learn new skills, and bring in more talent. We’re going to have to take some big swings to get to where we want to go. And we’re going to have to get comfortable with the reality that some things are probably going to go sideways in a very public way.

It might be time for me to buy a new bag.

Let’s talk about it. This is a Chanel 19 from the 2020-2021 Collection by Virginie Viard. It’s super sparkly and super rare. Is it practical? No. Should you get her anyway? Yes — if you love her. This is one of those IYKYK bags. If carrying this bag will spark joy for you every time you bring her out, you should just go for it. It’s not a bag with comparable dupes or less expensive options. It’s in a class of its own.

An Everyday Chanel Double Flap — for an Amazing Price

In the world of everyday bags, the Chanel Jumbo Caviar Classic Double Flap is queen. She’s polished without being fancy. She’s big without being heavy. She’s basically perfect. Ours is a beautiful creamy white in new condition, complete with some of the plastic still on the hardware, and she’s almost half off retail. This is a bag you will carry all the time because she goes with everything and she makes everything look better. She’s an investment piece, and she’s worth every penny :)

IMO, Chloe bags are woefully underrated. This Faye bag comes in a mix of black suede and leather, with both gold and silver hardware. This jumpsuit makes me want a cocktail! I looooove the color blocking, which is somehow… not insane?? This is a classic piece that can go from casual to cocktail by swapping out a few accessories, but my favorite thing about it is the draping at the back (see pic above). It’s just sooo cool. This will transition from summer into fall easily as well, making it a great investment piece (at a non-investment price).

3. Norma Kamali Black Bodysuit NWT (size m; retail $130) $65, $32.50

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love a corset :) This one by Norma Kamali is exceptionally sexy and versatile. I would wear it styled over (or under!) a white button-down. 4. Alice + Olivia Classic Black Leather Leggings (size 4; retail $795) $320 $160

OK, this photo leaves a lot to be desired (leggings are tough to shoot) and it’s waaay to hot for leather pants right now, but these leggings are a winner. I own them in a size 6 and they are a winter staple for me. The leather is sooo supple and soft. Alice + Olivia has really perfected this particular pant and I promise, come a chill in the air, these are going to be your new go-to.

This is a hot-without-trying set that I love. It’s best for an 8-10, and a tan :) The fabric is a super-soft linen blend and the bra top is cut properly to provide actual support. Throw a chunky cotton cardigan over this in early fall and you’ve got a super cute day-to-night look. Ugh. I love it.

I’d pair this with a floral maxi skirt and sandals in summer, and swap out knee-high boots in the fall.

8. Faherty Cardigan in Grey Melange NWT (size S; retail $248) $95 $47.50

I’m a Faherty girl at heart, and this is a great staple piece from the brand. It’s super-soft, mid-weight and has a nice texture that gives it a little visual interest. It will transition seamlessly into the cooler months and while it’s great for snuggling up at home, it looks equally good paired with more polished looks like jeans or even slacks.

I’ve been staring at my screen for a solid 20 minutes and have nothing to show for it because I can’t decide how to start this post. It feels significant. I want to do it right. I want to freeze this exact moment accurately and succinctly. Too late!!

You’ll have to settle for my stream of consciousness here.

One year ago today Bonnie and I made it official, becoming business partners in Well-Dressed. The government required us to exchange money in order to legally recognize our union, so we each gave the other $1.00. Naturally, Bonnie covered hers in glitter and inspirational messages. Pretty sure I sent mine by Venmo.

She had built an amazing business, but had taken it as far as one person could. I had sold a business, but was disillusioned by the culture at the acquiring company and so I was kicking around a few new biz ideas. But we were both excited by what Well-Dressed could be with the right team behind it. So we decided to just go for it.

One year in, here are some highlights IMO:

• In the first 365 days since re-launching we beat Well-Dressed’s highest-revenue year by 12%.

• We’ve more than doubled our active community (email/ IG, etc.)

• We moved out of my garage.

Today’s fashion cycle is chaos. Which is probably why I mainly stick to jeans, t-shirts and a rotating crop of blazers to pull it all together. And I like fashion. I can’t even imagine how people who don’t particularly like it feel. So when I stumbled across “The Three-Word Method” popularized by the TikTok famous stylist Allison Bornstein, I was fascinated. It felt like maybe a way to create a method to the madness. And while it hasn’t proven to solve all my fashion problems, it has helped me curate a closet that feels both like me and like the me I want to be. And that’s saying something.

The Three-Word Method is essentially a system that pares your personal style down to three words. It is an exercise in restraint that forces you to take a good look at what you own, what you wear, and what you would like to be wearing. (Spoiler: those three categories probably aren’t all the same). It can be challenging, but it’s also kind of fun in the same way that taking a personality quiz is fun. You don’t really learn anything revelatory, but you recognize things about yourself you might have ignored otherwise.

Here’s how to do it:

Your practical word: Pull out your go-to pieces, the ones you wear on repeat — even if you don’t particularly like them. That’s important. Honesty here is key. Look at the clothes in front of you and ask what they have in common. Is everything black? Is it a kaleidescope of color and pattern? Are the pieces mostly fitted, oversized, structured, slouchy? You get the idea. Find one word that captures the most (not all!) unifying characteristic throughout this assortment.

Your aspirational word: This is where you want your wardrobe to go. Look at things like saved IG posts, TikToks, Pinterest pins and other places you curate inspo. What do lots of these Looks have in common? Are they more minimalist than your current closet? Bolder? Softer? Edgier? What is it about these images that led you to save them?

Your emotional word: This is how you want your wardrobe to make you feel. As a girl who isn’t big on feelings, I found this most challenging, but also the most freeing. (My word is sexy LOL.) So how do you want to feel? Powerful? Feminine? Strong? Lean into the vibezzzz.

OK, so you have your three words… now what? Now you use this trio as your north star to guide your purchasing decisions as you add to your lineup. If an item aligns with any one of the three words, there’s a good chance you’ll use it and love it. If it doesn’t, take a beat and think before you buy. There’s always going to be some nuance here, but I’ve found it’s a pretty good way to avoid both FOMO and buyer’s remorse.

…Just for fun, my three words are: classic, sporty & sexy.

Yes, it was the era of dresses over jeans, updos anchored with mini butterfly clips, and skintight velour tracksuits as club clothes. But hear me out. It was also a time when shopping online was new, phones were mostly just phones, and you could reinvent yourself — and your style — without a ghostly digital footprint haunting you.

When I was in college, I got most of my fashion and beauty cues from the girls I lived with in the Back Eight (a room with 4 sets of twin bunk beds on the back side of the Pi Phi house), which is prob why I wore Ugg boots with mini skirts. TikTok wasn’t there to tell us it was wrong. We didn’t know any better and honestly we didn’t care. I miss that.

There’s an innocence to Y2K style that comes from not having had access to Instagram and TikTok that we may never get back. It’s like the ideas for certain Looks were there, but the execution was just a little… idk… off? A little… messy? But like, in a fun way. It’s the fun part of Y2K fashion I’d like to encourage us all to re-embrace.

In short: fun outfits > micro trends/ any kind of “core” any day for me. Thankfully, I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way as evidenced by the recent reissue of the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collab and the increased frequency of posts like the one below.

Still, I have mixed feelings about the re-emergence of Y2K fashion. On one hand, I think some of it (Louis Vuitton barrel bags! Burnout tees!!) is pretty great. On the other hand, nothing makes you more acutely aware of the passage of time than high-schoolers wearing the same scarf tie tops that you wore to go out in college.

I’m not the same person I was back then, which is mostly a good thing. I’m a mother now, and a wife, and a business partner and a dog owner. I’m more reliable and take better care of my skin. But it’s also hard for me to think of any outfit I’ve worn recently that I felt as good in as that Abercrombie denim mini and Ugg boots.

I love selling online. I love seeing the user map light up all over the country when a Drop goes live. I love that — without physical constraints — the potential reach for Well-Dressed feels magical and limitless. Sky’s the limit, as they say.

Maybe I’m biased since I help run a company that sells fashion straight from celebrity and influencer closets — but I find this super fascinating. Being an entrepreneur is hard, and even if you start flush with money and fame, it’s still really easy to **** it up. Which means the celebs on this list are at least smart enough to hire great teams and then listen to them (with the exception of maybe one, but we’ll get to that later).

In this study (randomly brought to us by researchers at Men’s Flair… idk), a brand’s “influence” was calculated according to social media following, website traffic, news mentions and Google searches. In other words, how much we interact with and seek out the brand online. Here we go!

10. Good American (Khloé Kardashian)

With 2.4 million followers and 553,600 monthly website visits, Good American has positioned itself as a champion of body inclusivity, especially when it comes to denim. While its 300,000 monthly Google searches is a fraction compared to her sister’s brand, it has still clocked 1,567 media mentions and just announced a collab with DOLLY PARTON so there’s that.

9. The Row (Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen)

This is my personal favorite celebrity-owned brand. I got The Row Margaux 15 a while back (see pic!) and while it would be an exaggeration to say the Margaux changed my life, it would not be exaggeration to say it’s my favorite bag I’ve ever owned. With 2.76 million social followers, 683,700 monthly site visits and 1,971 media mentions, The Row played a major role in generating the Quiet Luxury trend.

8. Stella McCartney (Stella McCartney)

McCartney’s focus on sustainable luxury has carved out a niche with eco-conscious luxury consumers. (We have THIS Stella McCartney dress from her Spring 2016 collection that’s basically a piece of art in our May 18 Drop.) The brand has around 9 million followers across social, nearly 300,000 monthly site visits, and has earned nearly 2,000 media spots.

7. Off-White (Virgil Abloh)

Unlike many other names on this list, Virgil Abloh became famous for being a fashion designer. He founded the high-end streetwear label Off-White in 2013, became the men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear in 2018, and was promoted to creative director of all of LVMH in 2021. And though Abloh tragically died in November 2021, Off-White continues on with 10 million followers on social media and 674,600 monthly site visits. (And yes, we’ve got some GREAT Off-White pieces in our May Drop!)

6. Savage x Fenty (Rhianna)

(IMO) Rhianna doesn’t get enough credit. She’s up there with Beyonce when it comes to just like… productivity. In between performing pregnant at the Super Bowl and having 14 number one songs over her career (so far), RiRi helped build Savage x Fenty. The lingerie brand’s body positive message has earned it over 5 million followers and 3 million monthly site visits.

5. G. Label by Goop (Gwyneth Paltrow)

This is another one of my personal faves. Yeah, the designs are pretty basic and the prices are wild, but there’s something unapologetically luxurious + IDGAF about it that I love. The brand now gets 1 million site visits + 600,000 Google searches each month.

4. Fabletics (Kate Hudson)

You gotta hand it to Kate Hudson. The actress saw the opportunity to bring a subscription model to activewear and went for it, without sacrificing the quality of the product. Today, it gets (an insane!) 8.1 million site visits each month. Plus, Google counts over 1 million monthly searches for the brand — oh, and they just launched a collab with Good American’s Khloé Kardashian.

3. Victoria Beckham (Victoria Beckham)

Victoria Beckham is a QUEEN. Her fashion label, which is all about ultra-luxury and exclusivity, has over 30 MILLION followers on social media. Likely due to its super high price point, it has lower web traffic (168,200 visits per month), but still clocks nearly 500,000 monthly Google searches.

2. Yeezy (Kanye West)

This brings us to the second most top-of-mind brand on this list… Yeezy. Sigh. I’m not going to dive into this one because it gives me the ick. But it’s high on the list mainly due to the insane Google search volume (nearly 6 million searches per month), which is currently much more likely due to his personal news coverage than the actual clothing brand.

1. Skims (Kim Kardashian)

Even before it inked a deal with Nike (cannot wait!), Skims was crushing it. With over 8 million social media followers, 9 million monthly visitors to its site, 1.8 million Google searches in the U.S. every month, and over 7,000 media mentions, Skims has lapped every other celebrity-helmed fashion brand. So it’s no surprise Skims is always among the first brands to sell out during our Drops — and we’ve got some GREAT pieces coming up in May!

Honorable mentions: Jessica Simpson’s eponymous brand just missed this list, coming in at #11. Two other Well-Dressed favorites, Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James and Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow 1960, landed at 12th and 19th place, respectively.

What We Mean By Live Selling

For us, live selling just means we’re turning our HQ into a makeshift QVC studio to show you pieces we’ve listed on bewelldressed.com. Every piece we put in the Live has a listing on the site, so watch us on IG and click on the site to buy something. (There are tons of apps and platforms for live selling, so if you like it, we’ll build out a more streamlined experience in the future.)

Why We Tried Live Selling

Nothing beats a Drop. It’s just SO MUCH FUN. (If you’re new here, just trust us on that.) BUT… there are challenges to Drops such as 1) having thousands of pieces to filter through can make it easy to miss things you’d love 2) still images don’t always communicate how an item looks or moves in the way putting it on and dancing around in front of a camera does. Such is life.

We thought live selling would allow us to highlight specific pieces that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle and give you a better idea of whether something will be great for you based on seeing it in real time. Plus, we can answer questions, give you a sense of what to expect in the next Drop, and delight you with our scintillating personalities :)

What We’ve Learned So Far

Mainly we’ve learned that we still have a lot to learn… womp womp. BUT we’ve also gotten much more efficient at presenting; we’ve learned how to pin the link to the shoppable collection at the top of comments (small wins); and we’ve learned that we really love the interactive nature of this way of selling. (Candidly, I expected to hate it but I surprised myself!!) And last but not least, we learned that timing is important.

Which brings us to our NEW time slot at 7:30pm CT on 3/25 tomorrow night :) We’re aiming for the window after you’ve had dinner but before you’re asleep when it might be fun for you to watch us yap about things we are obsessed with. We’ll then have a second live sale on Thursday, 3/27 @ 1pm CT.

Grow or die. That was the advice/ warning/ prophecy reiterated to me at least once a week for years while building my first company. And it’s not wrong. It’s just not comprehensive. There’s more than one way to create something special and big. (Raising money, spending it to get bigger, and then needing to raise more money to survive isn’t the only option.) And when Bonnie and I started yapping about Well-Dressed, I knew this was something we could build to be great, on our own terms, if we got aligned and got to work.

A little over six months into this partnership, we wrapped the biggest Drop in Well-Dressed’s history. Our seller lineup included a wide range of price points and styles; we sold 80% of all inventory in three days; I introduced $7 Slays (which is exactly what it sounds like!), and Bonnie didn’t lose an eye when a Veuve bottle exploded in her face. In other words, a victory.

But not everything was ideal LOL. Since many of you shopped that Drop, I figured I’d share some of the ideas we’re kicking around to improve your experience. This is not comprehensive and it’s not written in blood (sorry!!!) so if you have thoughts our suggestion box is open and it’s the comments section of this post.

Fit Notes

We’ve been including the height and typical clothing size for each model in every item description to help you get a sense of how a piece might fit you, but a customer suggested adding the model’s measurements. We agree that would be helpful so you’ll see that in the next Drop (May 18!!).

Increased Size Range

Believe me when I say we are always working to provide all sizes in each Drop and we’re pleased to report that the May Drop will feature the widest size range in the most even spread across sizes yet (XXS-XL). We’re hoping that more people will find more great pieces that work for them — if that shakes out, we’ll be able to take those stats to other celebrities and influencers to secure a wider range of sizes moving forward :)

Returns

Returns are hard for small (for now!) companies like Well-Dressed because of the operations and logistics required, which is why lots of pre-loved fashion retailers don’t offer them at all. For our last few Drops we had partnered with a third-party provider to support returns. Let’s just say that didn’t go as planned and I burned that bridge so we won’t be working with them moving forward :)

Candidly, we’re still exploring our options, which range from going back to the original no return policy (which we don’t love), to testing a different third-party provider, to bringing returns in-house. The benefit of handling them directly is that we control the user experience. The drawback is that it takes our resources away from other important initiatives. Which brings me to you!

I can’t tell you what that small fee would be yet, but most likely it would function as a % of the order total (best guess is 10-20%). Let me know — if enough people are into it, we’ll explore this further.

In the midst of these adjustments, Bonnie and I are super excited to revive our live selling on Instagram. Connecting with all of you each week leading up to the last Drop was a highlight for us and we can’t wait to get back there. I’m not a natural performer (Bonnie is, thankfully), but I feel like I can be myself here which has made it much less like performing and much more like yapping. (I am a natural yapper.) Pak Reve Origin Backpack

Full disclosure: I’m friends with the founder of this brand, but I can honestly say I LOVE her work. Jordi is the best travel writer in the biz and she teamed up with some amazing design talent to create the ultimate go-anywhere, do-anything backpack. It’s so thoughtfully designed you’ll wonder how you ever made it through an airport (or a day) without it. From external phone pockets to luxury-level construction, this is a 10/10.

Jenni Kayne Raw Silk Shorts (Size 6)

I spotted these the second they came through the door. I LOVE the raw silk fabric, the pleating, and the length — the combination of which makes them truly able to dress up or down with ease. They would be a perfect vacation piece since they can serve dual purposes depending on what you pair them with. They also don’t wrinkle much, which is HUGE for anything silk.

Gucci Darwin Convertible Backpack

IDK what to say about this. (Yes, I’m petting it in this pic.) It’s a vintage Gucci piece and it reminds me of the East Village, the Olsen twins, and a time in my life when I could sleep until noon and start drinking at 2. I love the color, the leather, and how lightweight it is for its size. I love how much it can hold. I love that it’s such an eye-catching piece. I just love it.

Gucci GG Ankle Boot NWOT (39/US9)

These are more logo-heavy than my usual style, and I think it’s their sporty vibe with the rubber sole that got me. I’ve put them on several times and planned many outfits with them. They truly work with everything from jeans to skirts and dresses, and I love the idea of them with a floaty, dainty, floral anything for spring.

Double J White Colorblock Maxi Dress (size M)

This piece is just sooo special. The cotton poplin is so crisp and the orange detail at the bottom of the skirt is so unexpected. The cut feels feminine without being too “sweet” and even though there’s some skin showing, it feels wearable for everyday… though I would also definitely pack this for my summer vacation too.

Gucci x Ken Scott Slides (size 8)

They’re giving White Lotus vibes and IDK how these are still here… They're an 8, so about 1/2 size too small for me, but if that’s your size I am begging you to buy these slides. They make any pool/ beach ‘fit look polished and they’re infinitely comfortable. They’ve been worn ONCE. Once!!!

Frank & Eileen Chambray Shirt Dress (size L)

I own a few pieces by Frank & Eileen and I wear them on repeat. This brand is priced HIGH for basics, but they are great quality both in material and construction. This shirt dress is a pretty basic style on its own, but it lends itself to infinite styling possibilities. I’d wear it belted/ over leggings (I LOVE a legging)/ or loose but with a super fun shoe like a gladiator sandal or a chunky platform heel. This is another piece that’s fabulous for travel because it packs well and can also double as an extra layer over other tops and bottoms.

Reformation Tencel Pants (size 8)

We also had these in navy but they sold… but these are still available! The tencel fabric is sooo soft and has such a nice drape. They look and feel like pants that cost 3x as much as they do (at retail). I wear a 6, but these 8s fit me GREAT. They are definitely cut for an 8/ run true-to-size, but if you like some extra slouch (which I do) and you’re a 6, they’ll be your new favorite pants. Side note for Nashville girls: Reformation opened at 12 South last week :)

Mara Hoffman Floral Hemp Set (size 4)

I stan Mara Hoffman and I’m still recovering from her closing up shop last year. This set gives me LIIIIFE. The color, the cut, the pattern, the piping detail that cuts diagonally across your body down the front — it’s all perfection. This is such a special set. I’d wear it with low-top sneakers to make it a little sporty but it’s also an obvious match with any strappy sandals or heels.

Adidas x Stella McCartney Crewneck Sweatshirt (size S)

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love a sweatshirt. I’d wear this with a satin knee-length skirt to soften it up a bit, but duh it’s a sweatshirt so it goes with all casual clothes. The brown and turquoise is such a nice color combo and I know in my soul that whoever snaps it up will wear it all the time.

All Saints Striped Midi Dress (size S)

This is another dress I’d pair with sneakers (lo-top or high-top!) and wear as an everyday Look. Give me a big pair of sunglasses and a cute baseball hat and send me to brunch!! It’s nice and stretchy and the stripes are set in a way that’s really stunning (especially for the price point). A real gem if you ask me.

Veronica Beard Kendall Dress (size 4)

I LOVE THIS DRESS. I’d add a black belt right at the waist to emphasize the hourglass silhouette. The construction is so thoughtful. It’s really something special. This is begging to be worn to: an evening wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, a bachelorette, a girls’ weekend, you get the idea. If it were one size up it would be mine. xo Liz

I’m not going to lie. It’s chaos at Well-Dressed HQ right now. It always is right before a Drop, and it’s part of the F-U-N. I took a short break today for Botox. Bonnie and Lauryn went out for french fries. I can’t believe we’re just a few days away from our March Drop. Over the last few months as we’ve prepared, we’ve had highs — like moving the operation from my garage to a proper warehouse, and lows — like thinking we lost an entire bin of clothes in that process. (We found it.)

And now I can see all of work coming together, both literally and figuratively. I get an actual adrenaline rush thinking about the Drop going live. And I want to make sure you are well-equipped to get the most out of your Well-Dressed Drop. So here are my best tips and tricks, as told through Schitt’s Creek gifs.

1. If you have a Pass, head to Previews (button on the homepage) and write down the exact names of the pieces you really want. When it’s time to shop, you can pull up those items FAST by typing their names into the search bar on the site. Check back at least once per day because we add 100+ items every 24 hours!!

   

2. Send us questions about any specific items as you have them to get those answers before the Drop opens! This way you’re not scrambling once you can shop :) You can contact us by: chat feature on our home page at bewelldressed.com; DMing us on IG; chatting us on our Substack chat!

   

3. Take our survey! The more you tell us about what you want, the better we’ll be at getting it in front of you. We use this info. to help you discover pieces that will be a great match for you!

4. Use tags to streamline your search results. We know there are a lot and visually our side bar of tags leaves a lot to be desired (prettying that up is on our list!!) — but they are super helpful in pinpointing the pieces that will be best for you. You can tag by category (“day dresses” / “knitwear” / etc.) or sizes, or both. Here’s a complete category breakdown :) You can also search for specific brands or items by typing them into the search bar at the top!

   

5. Know the lingo. NWT = New With Tags. NWOT = New Without Tags (mainly used for shoes). If you like new things, this tag is for you! O/S = one size fits most.

6. 15 minutes before it’s time to shop, get ready with your laptop (or phone), credit card, Diet Coke… whatever. Being online at the start helps you get what you want!

7. Check out one item at a time. Because items are NOT held in your cart, we highly recommend checking out with an item as soon as you have it in your cart so that you don’t lose it while you’re looking at other things.

   

8. Check your first order confirmation for your FREE SHIPPING CODE!! When you place your first order during the Drop, there will be a flat (12.95) shipping fee — but after that, shipping’s on us :) Your free shipping code will be in your order confirmation email and can be used on subsequent orders you place for the next 24-48 hours (we’ll let you know when that window is closing). Just enter the free shipping code into the discount code field and double-check that it has applied. (Kindly note, we cannot apply free shipping or discounts retroactively… small team here!!)

   

9. Keep an eye out for F-U-N treats! As the Drop progresses, Bonnie & I get increasingly unhinged… this usually manifests as surprise discounts — both on individual pieces we hand-pick and with codes that apply across the board — and modeling clothes on IG live/ stories while we drink something sparkly and alcoholic. We love sprinkling in these goodies for you and getting you even more amazing deals!!

   

10. Get out of your comfort zone. Well-Dressed is a great place to test run something you wouldn’t normally buy at full price, but want to try. The stakes are low and the chance you’ll discover something that sparks joy is high. If you’re on the fence… buy the dress (or shoes, or bag, or whatever)!!

    

11. Share your Well-Dressed ‘fits! There’s literally nothing that makes us happier than seeing our pieces out in the wild. When you’re feeling amazing in your Well-Dressed finds, tag us in a pic on IG and another angel will get its wings.

12. Join our Substack chat (just download the app to access it). We’ll post all kinds of fun things in there that only go to that group (previews before anyone else, exclusive discounts, a shopper-to-shopper chat thread where you can sell or swap items that didn’t work perfectly for you, and more)!!!
