According to a new American Bible Society survey, 48% of Americans say they have received a miraculous answer to prayer, while 35% say they have witnessed or experienced a divine healing.

Among practicing Christians, the numbers are even more striking. Dr. John Plake of ABS said nine out of 10 practicing Christians report praying for something they believe was answered miraculously.

The survey also found that 58% of evangelical Christians and 58% of Black Protestants say they have witnessed or experienced a divine miracle.

Plake said these findings challenge the idea that miracles are only part of biblical history.

Even among non-Christians, about one in five reported praying for something they believe was miraculously answered.

For believers, the findings offer a powerful reminder of why prayer remains central to the Christian faith.

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham isn’t backing away from the controversy surrounding her comments about protecting women’s sports.

According to new research from the American Bible Society, most Americans believe there’s more to reality than what we can see. As researcher John Plake explains, many simply believe, “There’s something more out there.”
