Those massively-funded ads were not announced in advance - they came as a surprise.

But this fall, Democrats should not be surprised when Trump’s anti-Socialist ad campaign takes over NFL games. Here’s why.

Trump has campaigned against Communists for a year

First, Trump has been campaigning against “Communists” since Zohran Mamdani gained traction in the NYC mayoral primary.

In a June 29 interview on FOX News, Trump said

“I used to say we will never have a socialist in this country. No, but we’ll have a communist. I mean, he’s a communist, he gonna be mayor of New York.”

Mamdani’s popular vote win didn’t change Trump’s message. Less than 24 hours later, Trump told a Miami crowd “Miami will be the refuge for those fleeing the communist New York City.”

A year later, NYC primary victories by democratic socialists triggered another round of insane Trump attacks from the Rose Garden.

“It’s a big threat to our nation, actually, because it’s not socialism, it’s really communism. They use the word ‘Social Democrat’ because it sounds so nice, but it’s really communism you’re talking about. I think it’s the biggest threat to our nation there is, maybe since our founding. That includes World War I, World War II, September 11. It includes the Pearl Harbor attack.”

On June 27, Axios featured Trump’s “Communist” Midterm Message:

In a blistering speech to religious conservatives on Friday, Trump warned that “communists” are taking over the Democratic Party and “they want to completely destroy the traditional American way of life.”

Afterward, Faith & Freedom Coalition chairman Ralph Reed, a close ally of the president, told reporters that Trump’s words were intentional and had the makings of a Republican message for the midterms.

A week later, Trump repeated his insanity in a speech at Mt. Rushmore:

“Communism is a mortal threat to American liberty,” Trump said. “It is the greatest threat to our country, including World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor or even 9/11.”

On June 22, Trump took his anti-communist crusade to Georgia, where he attacked Senator Jon Ossoff, a centrist who voted for the anti-immigrant Laken Riley Act.

“Jon Ossoff and the Democrat communists want to let the Marxists into power, bankrupt your families, and leave you totally undefended with wide-open borders,” Trump said. “But we will not let that happen to our country.”

Trump has a massive warchest for TV ads

Trump’s main SuperPAC MAGA Inc. is sitting on $400 million - an enormous sum comparable to a Presidential campaign.

Very little of it has been spent - under $1 million was spent to elect Darline Graham Nordone in the recent South Carolina Senate primary.

There is only one way to spend such a vast amount of money: buying lots of expensive TV ads

Anti-trans NFL ads helped elect Trump in 2024 and created the new GOP playbook

The most infamous ad of the 2024 election had the tag line: Kamala is for they/them.

According to Wikipedia,

The Trump campaign put the ads in heavy rotation, airing more than 30,000 times in every swing state, and during televised NFL and college football games and NASCAR Xfinity Series races.^[5][6] According to an analysis by Future Forward, the Kamala Harris campaign‘s main Super PAC, “Kamala is for they/them” was one of Trump’s most effective 30-second attack ads, shifting the race 2.7 percentage points in favor of Trump after viewers watched it.^[7]

Kamala Harris supporters were horrified by these incessant ads, but her campaign did nothing.

Democrats did not formally respond to the ads containing the slogan during the campaign period. Former President Bill Clinton privately expressed concern about the ad and encouraged the Harris campaign to respond to it saying, “We have to answer it and say we won’t do it.” The Harris campaign had originally planned to release an ad responding, but the ad ended up performing poorly in internal tests and was ultimately never run.^[7]

To fill the vacuum, never-Trumper Rick Wilson cut his own ad, which he previewed on Morning Joe.

House Republicans just ambushed Democrats so they would vote for “socialism”

When Congress returned this week, Republicans immediately ambushed them with a resolution to denounce socialism “in all its forms.”

Resolved, That the House of Representatives—

condemns and denounces socialism in all its forms, including the Democratic Socialists of America, and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States;

This vote got very little coverage, mostly focusing on two conservative Democrats - Jared Golden (ME) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA) who shockingly broke with party leaders to advance the Republican-only Rule onto the House floor.

Because the trap was laid, six other Democrats also voted to “denounce socialism” - Kathy Castor (FL), Darren Soto (FL), Vincente Gonzalez (TX), Henry Cuellar (TX), Don Davis (NC), and Gabe Vazquez (NM). These battleground Democrats represent conservative districts where “socialism” is political kryptonite.

Unfortunately for these Democrats, they will not be spared when Republicans unleash a massive onslaught of TV ads attacking Democrats refusing to condemn “socialism” - just like Republicans did with their 2024 anti-trans ads.

How Should Democrats Respond to Anti-Socialism Ads?

Remember, Team Harris chose not to respond to the anti-trans ads, because they didn’t want to let Republicans “control the narrative.”

And that was political malpractice. Rick Wilson’s response ad made clear that Trump - not Harris - was responsible for trans surgeries in federal prisons. Team Harris should have run Wilson’s on TV after every anti-trans ad.

John Kerry’s campaign made exactly the same mistake in August 2004, when Republican operatives ran their “Swift Boat” attack ads grotesquely claiming John Kerry shot himself to get a Bronze Star.

Kerry’s supporters begged him to rebut the “Swift Boat” ads, but Kerry’s media consultant Bob Shrum refused.

I asked Shrum why the Kerry campaign wasn’t ready for attacks, given the history of campaigns by Rove and by Lee Atwater, who ran George H. W. Bush’s 1988 campaign against Michael Dukakis. “I think we did see the negatives coming,” Shrum said. “I think we were fully prepared. My thought is that personal stuff like the Swift Boat stuff doesn’t work, but a negative campaign based on issues that people think are relevant does work.” Shrum went on to say that at the time “not one person in the Democratic Party called to say we should respond sooner.”

That was bullshit - and I know it because I attended a high-dollar fundraiser in Easthampton where Kerry was greeted by the entire crowd yelling “fight back!” Before Kerry could speak, his wife Teresa told us all to quiet down because Shrum did not want to let Bush “control the narrative.”

Both of these episodes should have taught Democratic media consultants the same lesson: when your candidate is personally attacked, you must attack back twice as hard.

So how should Democrats respond to the coming anti-socialism ads?

1. Attack Trump for his “Corrupt Crony Capitalism”

Trump and the Republican Party claim to love Free Market Capitalism. But there is no “free market” in the Trump administration - just “corrupt crony capitalism” that starts with Trump himself, his immediate family, and all of his corrupt cronies.

Voters are fully aware of Trump’s “Corrupt Crony Capitalism” and they hate it - so Democrats should attack Trump relentlessly for it.

2. Attack Trump as the REAL Communist

Communism has a specific meaning dating back to Karl Marx - government ownership of the means of production.

President Donald Trump has over the past year been snapping up America’s means of production — the literal definition of communism — even as he makes a habit of labeling virtually all of his critics and political opponents “communists.”

Since retaking office in January 2025, Trump’s executive branch has acquired stock or other ownership interest in dozens of U.S. companies, from $400 million in mining company MP Materials to $1 billion in defense contractor L3Harris/Missile Solutions to $8.9 billion in Intel, making the government the chipmaker’s third-largest shareholder. In all, according to a recent Cato Institute analysis, the U.S. government is now part-owner of 30 companies, with no end to the practice in sight.

“I’ve been doing public policy for 25 years and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Cato’s Tad DeHaven, who previously worked for Republican U.S. senators and former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

Ty Cobb, who worked in Trump’s first-term White House Counsel’s office and is now a strident critic, pointed out that having the government own factories is a textbook example of communist economic theory.

“Nothing says communism like state-owned enterprises,” he said.

3. Channel Harry Truman

Republicans have been attacking socialism since the Russian Revolution of 1917.

Even conservative Democrats like Harry Truman have always fired back.

The Epstein files contain two credible allegations of child rape by Donald Trump.

1. “Katie Epstein” who alleges she was raped by Trump in the 1990s when she was 13 and filed 3 lawsuits against Trump in 2016

2. “Jane Doe 4” who alleges she was raped by Trump in the 1980s when she was 13-14 and was interviewed by the FBI four times after Epstein was found dead in 2017

Journalist Roger Sollenberger discovered Jane’s story in the Epstein Files this past February

The records don’t show what became of the DOJ’s investigation into the allegations, but the documents indicate the government found her to be a credible accuser. Records elsewhere in the files reveal that a woman with matching biographical details sued Epstein’s estate and won a settlement in 2021.

The allegations and FBI interview are landmark revelations, undermining the White House’s protestations that Trump hasn’t been accused of wrongdoing and showing instead that the U.S. government has been aware of a credible Trump accuser in the Epstein files.

Sollenberger found the FBI “302” reports which summarized the four interviews, but no one has seen the FBI’s original handwritten notes.

Until now.

Kaelen Deese uploaded these documents to Scribd on March 6th, 2026, the day after DOJ finally released the typed 302s.

Amy Gabrielle found them later, via Google search. She wrote up a Substack piece and posted on Reddit, with custom redactions.

Nunya Business (as ReZeroForDays) used the information in the redacted documents to trace the leak back to Deese and reached out to him about the third interview.

Deese provided ReZeroForDays (a stranger on the internet) with the third document, unredacted (not public at that time).

ReZeroForDays then contacted Ellie Leonard with the notes, and she connected them to me. I had independently traced the leak to Deese using a different methodology, contacted his editor, and got them to replace the documents with properly redacted versions.

So the complete provenance is: Kaelen Deese → Amy Gabrielle → ReZeroForDays → Ellie Leonard. The question is, who gave them to Deese?

Kaelan Deese covers DOJ for the right-wing Washington Examiner, so the simplest explanation is someone at DOJ decided Deese was a pro-Trump journalist they could trust with extremely sensitive leaks.

That assumes the pdf is authentic. Is it?

According to Ellie Leonard, details that appear in the pdf but not in the 302s are accurate, and were confirmed by her confidential source who examined the actual handwritten notes at DOJ under intense supervision.

That source was only allowed a brief review and prohibited from taking photos, so they are relying on their own notes and recollection - and therefore not conclusive.

But the truth should be known in the coming days, because Todd Blanche’s DOJ is under order to produce these notes by Judge Emmet Sullivan under penalty of contempt.

This is the lawsuit filed by journalist Katie Phang against Todd Blanche for violating the Epstein Transparency Act by failing to release all of the Epstein files, including these handwritten notes.

Blanche has been covering up Trump’s relationship to Epstein since his appointment as Deputy Attorney General in 2025, according to his former boss Pam Bondi.

Bondi frequently said Blanche was in charge of the task and noted that “Blanche supervised [the] entire process” to fulfill requirements of the the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the law passed by Congress in November that mandated the DOJ release materials in the case.

If there was any training for those completing the redactions, it would have been overseen by Blanche, Bondi told lawmakers. She also said it was Blanche’s responsibility to determine whether a document was privileged, Bondi told lawmakers.

“He was leading the Epstein matter and the release of everything from the beginning,” Bondi said, according to the transcript.

So all eyes are now on Todd Blanche: whether he will deliver the FBI’s authentic handwritten notes to Judge Sullivan - and produce credible evidence Trump raped Jane Doe 4 - or continue to withhold those notes and face contempt.

Todd Blanche’s Coverup is Crumbling

It’s been nine months since Donald Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was intended to force the Justice Department to release all of the files, redacting only the names of the victims.

This was supposed to reveal the names of all of Epstein’s co-conspirators in order to finally hold them accountable for raping the girls he was trafficking.

But then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche made sure the names of all the perpetrators were redacted, while “accidentally” revealing the names of many victims.

Under intense pressure, Blanche met with Epstein victims during his confirmation but he was “abrasive and condescending.”

Now that he’s been confirmed as Attorney General - to the everlasting shame of Thom Tillis, John Cornyn, and BIll Cassidy - Todd Blanche has to take time away from defending Donald Trump in order to defend himself.

Zev Shalev reports Todd Blanche must prove to Judge Emmet Sullivan on Thursday why he redacted the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators.

Blanche owes Sullivan more than the redaction proof. He owes the handwritten FBI notes Sullivan ordered released in June — still unproduced. He owes the written justification the Epstein Files Transparency Act demands for every redaction, published in the Federal Register and sent to Congress — none exist. Sullivan ruled in June that Blanche had conceded he was violating the Act, the 2025 law Donald Trump signed. Blanche refused to comply anyway. Katie Phang’s lawyers asked the judge to fine him $1,000 a day until he does; Blanche called the contempt case “absurd.” Justice Department lawyers moved August 5 to stay the case entirely. Sullivan set a hearing instead.

New Mexico fights for its victims while New York is MIA

Joyce Vance reports New Mexico’s Attorney General Raúl Torrez sued Blanche’s DOJ for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files.

The lawsuit accuses DOJ of “refusing to facilitate the investigation of state law crimes by hiding information about Epstein and his co-conspirators from Attorney General Torrez and state law enforcement, when New Mexico is one of few jurisdictions that still may have an opportunity to hold Epstein’s associates accountable or otherwise provide some sense of justice to survivors.

Under state laws, most criminal investigations are handled by local prosecutors. But in New Mexico, Torrez has specific power to investigate crimes like human trafficking.

But what about New York? Our fearless Attorney General Tish James has sued the Trump administration dozens of times for withholding funds and policy changes, but she has no power to investigate sex crimes.

Since Epstein’s New York sex crimes were committed in Manhattan, they fall under the jurisdiction of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Like James, Bragg is also unafraid of Trump: in 2024, he secured a 34-count felony conviction of Trump for paying hush money to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

But Bragg has done absolutely nothing to investigate Epstein’s sex crimes or those of Donald Trump, who allegedly raped two girls at Epstein’s mansion 10 years apart.

So it’s long past time to demand an investigation by Alvin Bragg.

Killing Iran’s leaders unified the nation behind their successors – who are even more anti-American than those Trump killed.

Tell Congress: Impeach Trump for losing the Iran War

Trump’s war gave Iran control of the Straits of Hormuz, which Iran will use to extort payments that will drive up prices worldwide and fund a massive military buildup that will threaten U.S. allies in the region, including Israel.

In addition, Iran is demanding

• a permanent end to U.S. attacks on Iran and its allies

• withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region

• ending the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports

• “complete compensation” for war damage

• “unconditional” release of frozen assets.

• lifting of all U.S. sanctions

Iran is dictating these terms because Iran believes it defeated Trump by surviving U.S. bombing and firing enough missiles and drones to exhaust U.S. interceptor supplies.

And Trump’s weakened military has emboldened Putin to increase attacks on Ukraine and our NATO allies in Europe.

Tell Congress: Impeach Trump for losing the Iran War

Trump launched this disastrous war because he believed Netanyahu’s lies and fired the top military and intelligence officials who warned against it.

Congress must hold Trump accountable through impeachment and removal from office.

At their meeting on Friday, Donald Trump and his Cabinet finally realized they lost their disastrous war with Iran.

Few if any in Mr. Trump’s inner circle believed the plan to escalate was wise, said the two people briefed. One senior U.S. official, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity, expressed doubts that resuming major combat operations would drive Iran back to the bargaining table.

The official said the strikes have the opposite effect of what is intended, keeping Iran cohesive and allowing Iranian leaders to focus attention on an external threat.

Trump and Bibi launched a war against Iran because they believed Iran’s regime was on the brink of collapse after years of punishing economic sanctions. Trump and Bibi believed Iran would fall from within - not from an external invasion.

Trump is no genius, but he did learn one crucial lesson from the Iraq War: sending group troops would only result in their being killed on a daily basis by a nation opposed to foreign occupation.

In fact, Trump rightly called Bush’s invasion idiotic. So Trump and Bibi designed a different war strategy without “boots on the ground”:

1. Assassinate Iran’s entire leadership - including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - and replace them with much-despised former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

2. Use our advanced weapons to assert military dominance over the Revolutionary Guard so their leaders would beg for a peace deal

3. Encourage the Iranian people to rise up to overthrow their government

The Trump-Bibi strategy was doomed to fail because Iran’s regime was not on the brink of collapse after they brutally suppressed widespread protests.

Even so, the execution of the Trump-Bibi strategy only guaranteed its failure.

1. Ahmadinejad was badly injured in the Israeli attack that was supposed to free him from house arrest, so he turned against his Israeli handlers

2. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard spent a decade building a “mosaic defense” that allowed local commanders to fire cheap missiles and drones without central approval

3. Starting the war by bombing a school and killing 120 girls gave Iran’s regime the upper hand in the propaganda war

4. Turning Ayatollah Ali Khamenei into a martyr made it easy for the regime to turn out millions to mourn his death for a week and consolidate support for the regime

Trump made other fatal mistakes:

1. Trump didn’t plan for Iran to withstand U.S. bombs and continue firing missiles and drones at our Gulf allies, whose oil, natural gas, water, and airports are highly vulnerable soft targets

2. Trump fired all the competent military and intelligence officials who predicted Iran would seize control of the Straits of Hormuz and drive up the global price of oil as well as the U.S. price of gasoline

3. Trump failed to secure U.S. bases in the region before he attacked, which allowed Iran to kill American soldiers, which undermined weak U.S. support

4. Trump’s angry threats to destroy Iranian civilization altogether caused the entire world - and even some of his MAGA supporters - to recoil in horror at Trump’s bloodthirstiness

5. Most importantly, Trump used up our limited global supply of expensive Patriot interceptors

Iran’s seizure of the Straits of Hormuz was the turning point in the war. Trump insisted the U.S. Navy could protect oil tankers carrying oil from our Gulf allies, but Iranian mines, missiles, and drones were enough of a threat to intimidate risk-averse shippers.

But using up our Patriot interceptors was most damaging to the U.S. military itself, making us and our allies more vulnerable to attack not just from Iran but also other adversaries - especially Russia and China.

U.S. officials now worry that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and Xi Jinping of China could be factoring the shortages into calculations of their next moves, in Ukraine and Europe for Mr. Putin and perhaps against Taiwan for Mr. Xi.

From a global strategic perspective, this military weakness is a catastrophe. If Putin expands his war beyond Ukraine to other NATO allies, the U.S. would be forced by treaty to defend NATO.

And even without a treaty, the U.S. would be forced to defend Taiwan if China threatens an attack, because our credibility with Japan and other Asian allies depends on our living up to decades of promises to defend Taiwan.

These threats to our allies are not hypothetical - Putin has sent drones into NATO countries including Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Romania. And China conducts regular military exercises threatening Taiwan.

Moreover, Putin and Xi meet regularly to plot against Trump - something the U.S. media rarely reports.

The bottom line is clear: Trump’s defeat in Iran has weakened the U.S. military as well as our allies in the Middle East and Europe, while strengthening Iran and its allies in China and Russia.

Trump needs to be held accountable through impeachment along with his entire Cabinet, including Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio, and J.D. Vance - all of whom failed to stop Trump from making America weaker.

We need a new President and Cabinet who will do the hard work of rebuilding our own military as well as our crucial alliances around the world.

While Democrats lead by a solid 7% among all registered voters (the blue line in the middle), our lead increases to 9% among likely voters (the orange line at the top).

As Morris explains, likely voters have leaned Republican for the past 5 cycles.

That’s because Democrats have typically held an edge with lower-turnout groups, like young Americans and non-white voters, that skew coarser samples to the left. More reliable voters, historically speaking, have been more Republican-leaning than the population as a whole.

So this shift among likely voters towards Democrats is a BFD, as Joe Biden would say.

Morris says a popular vote margin of 7-9% is more than enough for Democrats to flip the House, because we need a 4% margin after Republican gerrymandering.

It also makes the Senate winnable, as we will likely flip North Carolina and Maine (which gets us to 49 Democrats) and bring us close in Alaska (Mary Peltola), Iowa (Josh Turek), Ohio (Sherrod Brown), Texas (James Talarico), Nebraska (Dan Osborne), and Florida.

• Democrats are crushing small-donor fundraising: Roy Cooper raised more than $14 million for his Senate race in North Carolina; Sherrod Brown raised more than $17 million for his Ohio Senate run; and Mary Peltola, the Senate nominee in Alaska, raised $7 million. • EpsteinGate is front and center in hearings for Todd Blanche - and continues hurt Republicans in other Senate races. In Montana, Kurt Alme cut a plea deal in 2020 that let a former police officer and convicted pedophile serve less than a year in prison and avoid having to register as a sex offender after sexually abusing a 6-year-old child.

• In Texas, Ken Paxton’s office took over the case of a man who admitted to years-long sexual abuse of a young boy, a first-degree felony that carried up to life in prison, and after a mistrial cut him a deal down to two misdemeanors, thirty days in jail, and no spot on the sex-offender registry.

• Ken Paxton also faces a massive backlash from conservative Latinos in South Texas, including small business owners who are the backbone of the Texas GOP.

  • “It just seems now more than ever, if you’re brown, they’re gonna stop you,” said Mario Guerrero, a three-time Trump voter who leads the South Texas Builders Association. “And I know that sounds really racist, but it’s what we’re facing, man.”

  • The poll was taken before ICE killed Houston construction contractor Lorenzo Salgado Araujo for no reason other than driving while brown - and then lied about it, as ICE always does.

• “Biblically separated” Ken Paxton bought three condos in a luxury resort in Utah earlier this year, listing as his address a home owned by a woman, not his wife, with whom he’s been photographed recently.

• In North Carolina, the GOP is about to throw in the towel on their nominee, just as they did last year in the Virginia governor’s race. Republicans are holding back on spending the many millions they need to spend against popular Gov. Roy Cooper, who leads by 7-12% in the polls.

• Wall St. Journalist columnist Matthew Continetti sum up the Blue Wave quite nicely. While he thinks Trump’s idiotic attacks on “communism” are genius (lol),

  • The problem for Republicans is that energetic voters can overwhelm structural barriers. Democrats are fired up to vote. They have been voting in primaries in greater numbers than Republicans. They’re more likely to say that they’re “absolutely certain” to vote and that voting is “much more important” this year than in the past. They have led the generic congressional ballot since March 2025. And they have been overperforming in special elections, flipping 30 state legislative seats. No seat has flipped from Democrat to Republican.

• The odds of a Blue Wave on Polymarket increased to 76% over the past month for all the reasons described below. They define “Blue Wave” as a Democratic House majority of 218+ seats, and a near Senate majority of 49+ seats, which would be a gain of 2 seats.

  

• Trump’s approval rating remains a dismal -22%, which is the main fuel for our Blue Wave. To improve his polls, Trump must end his disastrous Iran War so gas prices begin to fall. But exactly the opposite is happening.

  • Trump’s “non-war” in Iran that was supposed to last a few weeks is now in month 5 and turning into exactly the kind of “forever war” that Trump campaigned vehemently against

  • As fighting resumed over shipping through the Straits of Hormuz, Trump declared the brief ceasefire “over.”

  • At the end of the week of massive public mourning for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, his son Mojtaba - now the new Supreme Leader - vowed revenge against “the criminals… whose names are known from top to bottom.” If Trump thought he had a monopoly on vengeance, he was sadly mistaken.

  • Trump replied “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow.” Will this cost him his FIFA Peace Prize?

  • Gas prices increased $.07 from $3.81 to $3.88 over the course of the week, which will worsen Trump’s disapproval rating. Diesel is now $1 more than gas, making life miserable for struggling truckers and farmers; a year ago it was only $.54 more.

  • The mysterious “Freedom Fuel Network” opened 25 stations in PA and NJ with massive hype from Trump, initially charging $3.47 to honor “our 47th President” but prices quickly increased.

  • Journalists are trying to solve the mystery of who is spending huge sums to subsidize gas prices, but all they have found so far is a new LLC incorporated anonymously in Delaware on June 23. Also the stations were previously branded Sunoco for the most part. When will Kalshi let us bet on the real owner?

  • Cheaper gas stations sounds like the cheaper grocery stores that NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani promised during his campaign and is now opening.

  • Republicans from Trump on down denounced Mamdani’s government-owned and privately-operated stores as “communism” but no Republican has yet denounced Communist Fuel.

• Latino voters are outraged by ICE’s killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old Mexican who has lived a model life in Houston for 35 years, running a small construction business and raising three American-born kids. ICE accused Salgado of trying to run over ICE agents, but the three passengers say ICE is lying - exactly as they did with Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. Texas Senate candidate James Talarico is demanding a “full, independent investigation” because “previous incidents have shown that this agency cannot be trusted to report all the facts.” Latinos voted heavily for Talarico in the spring primary, and the anger unleashed by this ICE killing is likely to increase Latino turnout in November.

• Democratic prospects of flipping the Senate improved after Graham Platner withdrew after rape allegations. Maine Democrats will choose a replacement nominee by July 27 through an expanded convention.

• Republican chaos in Congress continues, with Trump’s House bootlickers demanding Senate passage of the SAVE voter suppression law. Senate Republicans insist daily they cannot get SAVE past a filibuster, but Trump’s bootlickers want to make Senate Republicans pay for infuriating Trump.

• Republicans control both chambers of Congress, but the only popular bill they have passed this year is a housing bill that Trump calls a “yawn” and refuses to sign - depriving Republicans of a celebratory signing ceremony they desperately need for their social media feeds.

• Mitch McConnell holds a crucial vote in the closely divided Senate, but he remains hospitalized a month later. McConnell’s office refuses to reveal his diagnosis or prognosis, so conspiracy theorists suspect the worst.

Obviously this is a very difficult decision and many factors have to be considered.

Trump is Drowning

Just look at Trump’s approval rating: only 36% of Americans approve of his Presidency, while 60% disapprove.

That’s an astonishing minus 23% - way below any other President in this century, including Trump’s first term.

And Trump’s approval keeps going down.

Every day that Americans pay over $4 per gallon for gas, Trump’s approval sinks even lower.

Even if Iran agrees to a deal soon, gas and diesel prices will remain high for months – driving up the cost of groceries and everything else we buy.

Millions of Republican voters are furious about Trump’s betrayal on higher prices and disastrous wars.

And Trump’s sabotage of sane Senate Republicans like Thom Tillis, John Cassidy and John Cornyn is pushing them to finally stand up to Trump’s corruption - especially his $1 billion ballroom and $1.7 billion “weaponization” fund for convicted J6 cop beaters.

Even judges are turning against Trump on issues from tariffs to immigration to the Kennedy Center.

And as Trump gets weaker at home and abroad, his rage gets more out of control.

It’s no wonder he’s hiding his medical report – his rage is about to explode.

Democrats are Getting Stronger

It took way too long, but Democrats are standing up to Trump – and winning.

Voters supported Democrats during the first shutdown over Obamacare subsidies.

Voters supported Democrats during the second shutdown over ICE murders.

Voters supported Democrats in the California and Virginia referenda to neutralize Trump’s outrageous gerrymandering.

Voters support Democrats in trying to end Trump’s illegal Iran War.

And on every other crucial issue from prices to healthcare, voters support Democrats over Trump.

For the past year, we’ve won every special election that was winnable.

And as we head towards November, we’re well positioned to flip the Senate and the House.

That’s the question the DNC “autopsy" was supposed to answer.

The answer is simple: Joe Biden was too old to run for a second term. He should have kept his one-term promise by announcing he would not run for a second term right after the 2022 midterms.

That would have cleared the path for a normal Democratic Presidential primary with an excellent field of candidates competing over their best ideas to move America forward.

And whoever won our Democratic nomination would have proved their strength in battle and unified the party to defeat Trump.

But that didn’t happen because Joe Biden was too proud and stubborn. He only dropped out after the disastrous debate with Trump where his advancing age was unavoidable and his polls were plummeting.

That left Kamala Harris just 107 days to overcome all of Biden’s negatives - and that was an impossible task.

The DNC can’t be this blunt, but I can.

So screw the lousy autopsy that is getting so much coverage.

Let’s focus instead on the challenge that is staring us right in the face - crushing Donald Trump and the Republican Party in November.

We’re Winning

If the elections were held today, Democrats would win everywhere because Donald Trump is the most unpopular President ever before a midterm election.

Trump’s second term approval is the dark red line at the bottom. Right now his approval rating is -23%.

That puts Trump 10 points below his own dismal approval in May 2018 during his first term (the yellow line).

That November in the midterms (the green bar) Democrats gained 41 seats in the House.

This November, we only need 3 seats to flip the House - plus 4 seats to flip the Senate.

We can do this!

Our plan: turnout 80 million Democratic votes

In 2020, Joe Biden beat Trump by winning 81 million votes - the most in history.

We voted in huge numbers because we were furious at Trump for all of his first term crimes.

Now we’re even angrier - so let’s turnout 80 million votes again and set a new record for midterm votes.

If we do this, we will crush Republicans everywhere.

We will flip the House. We will flip the Senate. We will flip state legislatures. We will elect Governors, Attorneys General, and Secretaries of State.

It will be the kind of midterm landslide we haven’t seen since 1974 after Richard Nixon resigned over Watergate.

And we will set the stage to sweep in a Democratic President in 2028.

Polls show 60% of Americans hate Trump. If every citizen turned out in November to vote against Trump, Democrats would get 146 million votes.

Meanwhile, how many Americans marched for King Donald this weekend?

Think about that for a second.

Sitting on his golden throne inside the White House, Donald Trump believes he is the most powerful man in the world.

But outside the White House, not a single voter waved a pro-Trump sign.

If politics was a sport, this would be the headline:

Which raises the question: why aren’t we celebrating our gigantic win?

Let me propose an answer: because we have no leader to rally around.

Or, looking at it another way - we have too many leaders.

It’s a fabulous list, and many of their speeches were fantastic.

But close your eyes and try to picture the leader of the NoKings movement.

Are you drawing a blank?

A visit to the official website won’t help. There is no official leadership - just a very long list of partners in alphabetical order.

If you ask those partners, you will learn that NoKings has two principal organizers: Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, the co-executive directors of Indivisible, who happen to be married.

But apart from Indivisible’s membership, few marchers know their names. And that’s because neither of them are running for President - or any other elected office.

If they were running, we’d be flooding them with campaign contributions and pushing them to the top of the list.

Why? Because they can mobilize more voters than anyone in the race.

Here are the results of the 2020 Democratic primaries

After campaigning for a year - and spending millions of dollars - Joe Biden got 19 million votes, Bernie Sanders got nearly 10 million, and Elizabeth Warren got nearly 3 million.

We are still two years away from the first primary, but Leah or Ezra could theoretically get 8 million votes today without spending a penny.

Which raises the question: should 8 million of us draft them?

The Constitution requires Congress to declare war, but Trump started a war with Iran without Congressional approval.

Trump plans to continue his war for at least a month, and it could continue for months and years afterwards - just like Iraq.

Trump’s war is already costing $220 million per day - that’s $1.5 billion per week.

Bush’s War in Iraq cost $2-3 trillion against an impoverished nation with 26 million people. Iran is nearly three times larger with 93 million people.

Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” already cut $1 trillion from Medicaid and Obamacare and $186 billion from SNAP, cut taxes for the top 1% by $1 trillion, and added a massive $4 trillion to our national debt.

But the world does not yet know the story “Katie Johnson” - another 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by Trump ten years later at Epstein’s mansion in Manhattan.

Now that “Jane’s” story is making headlines, it’s time for “Katie’s” story to make headlines as well.

Because it’s exactly the same story - Trump allegedly raped at least two 13-year-old girls.

Jane Doe 4

This is the FBI report Roger Sollenberger discovered in the Epstein Files.

Julie K. Brown - the award-winning journalist whose investigations into Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking network led to his arrest - tells her story more fully (emphasis added):

And who is this Jane Doe?

A native of Binghamton, New York, the woman filed a lawsuit against Epstein’s estate in the Southern District of New York in 2019 as Jane Doe #4. In the suit, she is identified as living in Vancouver, Washington. She said she met Epstein about 1984 in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Here are the details:

She said Epstein — who then would have been about 31 years old — had rented a vacation property in Hilton Head owned by the victim’s mother, a local real estate agent. At the time, the victim was offering babysitting services to tourists who rented property from her mother, who sent her to Epstein’s rental, ostensibly to babysit for the renters.

But when she arrived, there were no children, only Epstein. She said he gave her drugs and alcohol and then raped her. The sexual assaults continued over several years during the summers when Epstein would return to the island. She indicated she never got paid cash, but that he continued to supply her with drugs. At one point, she discovered that he had been taking nude photographs of her, which he refused to return.

The abuse continued across state lines, as Epstein flew Jane Doe 4 to New York three to four times.

“During these trips, Epstein brought Jane Doe 4 to intimate gatherings with other prominent, wealthy men. It was later made clear to Jane Doe 4 that Epstein brought her to these parties to essentially offer her up as ‘fresh meat’ to these other men,” the lawsuit states.

Jane Doe 4 was “brutally and forcibly battered, assaulted and raped” by these other men she met through Epstein. The lawsuit further states “one of these prominent men forcibly slapped Jane Doe 4 in the face after she was forced to perform oral sex on him. This same man forcibly raped her, penetrating her both vaginally and anally.”

The lawsuit does not name the other men who were allegedly involved. The lawsuit was settled.

Jane’s story was confirmed by a friend who also called the FBI and was then interviewed by an FBI agent.

“Jane Doe 4” did not name Trump in her 2019 lawsuit during Trump’s first term because Trump was the most powerful man in the world and she was terrified of him.

The FBI interviewed her four times and filed 302 reports after each one. DOJ only included the first report in the documents they released; the other three are missing, and Democrats are demanding to see them.

The importance of these reports is not just what “Jane Doe 4” says about Trump’s rape - but also that the FBI considered her credible.

These documents will prove Pam Bondi lied when she told Congress there was no evidence of crimes by Trump - just as Rep. Ted Lieu immediately accused her.

Katie Johnson

“Katie Johnson” is also in the Epstein Files because she filed three lawsuits against Trump in 2016 alleging he raped her at age 13 at Epstein’s mansion in New York City.

SF Chronicle’s Raheem Hosseini summarizes the emails about “Katie” in the Epstein Files - and the people close to Epstein who knew about her lawsuits (emphasis added):

Thanks to emails released last week by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, we now know that Epstein was at least aware of her accusations.

In April 2016, Epstein forwarded a Reuters reporter’s request for comment about Katie Johnson’s lawsuit to several people, including attorney Alan Dershowitz and former White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler. To Tom Barrack, a Trump campaign adviser who is now the president’s ambassador to Turkey, Epstein wrote, “nuts but i thought you guys should know.” To journalist Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote, “here we go.”

In November 2016, two days after Trump’s election, Epstein forwarded a Daily Mail story about the lawsuit being withdrawn in New York federal court to several friends and associates.

New York Times financial reporter Landon Thomas Jr. responded, “You called it,” and asked Epstein about his stock portfolio. Melanie Walker, a neurosurgeon and Gates Foundation alum, offered her condolences and asked if Epstein “even” knew the “troubled” plaintiff. Epstein replied, “nope.” To another sympathizing confidant — Virgin Islands tax attorney Erika A. Kellerhals, who would receive Epstein’s final will — Epstein wrote, “its funny, dont lose your sense of humor.”

And when Epstein told Deepak Chopra the lawsuit had been dropped, the New Age guru replied, “Good.”

I have reported on her story several times before, as have many other bloggers.

“I loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop, but he did not,” Jane Doe wrote in a formal declaration accompanying her recent suits. “Defendant Trump responded to my pleas by violently striking me in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted. ... Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened me that, were I ever to reveal any of the details of Defendant Trump’s sexual and physical abuse of me, my family and I would be physically harmed if not killed.”

Notice the clear similarity in the two stories - in both cases, Trump allegedly struck the girls in the head when they resisted.

In a court of law, this pattern would be powerful evidence of the criminal’s M.O.

In 2016, “Katie” told her story in great detail on camera with her face blurred to protect her identity. Each time she described Trump’s abrupt violence (emphasis added):

I met Donald Trump at some parties that I was working for Mr. Jeffrey Epstein. There was about three or four times that I had encounters with Donald Trump. I was 13.

The first time that I met Donald Trump was at a party at Jeffrey Epstein’s mansion. There was an orgy going on, and he was kind of watching off in the distance. And he basically asked if I could come over and give him give him a hand job. And at first I wasn’t very comfortable with it this was like my first or second party, and I didn’t think that that was my responsibility, but my recruiter told me that I needed to do it so I agreed to and then he you know I said I said began to uh --- sorry this is a little difficult ---- but before I gave him a hand job he kind of slapped my hand away and said you need to use a glove. And the recruiter ran over and handed me a glove and said ‘no one touches Mr. Trump’s penis without a glove’. So I needed to use a glove. I gave him a hand job and then immediately after, you know, he he had an orgasm he left, and I didn’t see him again at that party…

The second time that I saw Mr. Trump was same scenario he was on-looking so at an orgy and Tiffany came over to me and said that Donald Trump had requested that I perform oral sex on him. And never I’d never done something like that with anybody so I was a little nervous so I walked up to him and he was standing and saying they’re very proud like and I just kind of moved to that direction and he’s kind of slapped me away and said what are you doing you know you need to put a condom on like I was some like dirty filth or something without a condom.

Tiffany ran over and handed him a condom -- me a condom and apologizing profusely and said that would never happen again that and she looked at me and scolded me being seemed kind of like a child and said that that’s not how Donald Trump always you know anytime you took it touched his penis it needs to have a condom on her glove you know and especially when it comes to performing oral sex. So I apologized and then I performed oral sex on him. And once again once he was done he hopped up and but that’s the last I saw of him at that party.

There was those there was those two times and then the next thing that was that Tiffany approached me with was that he had a fantasy where he walked in on his maids basically making out and that he it was some type of fantasy for him. So she asked I mean I was at that point I was like I don’t want to be involved with anything that has to do with him. But she’s like you were just basically the other one so there’s nothing that you’ll have to do just don’t you know just you want he’s requesting you to be involved. So I reluctantly I felt like I didn’t have a choice there but it was basically he’s walking in his two maids so I was the white maid and there was a Spanish girl Maria who was Hispanic maid and we were making out and he walks in and he gets really angry and threatens to call immigration on Maria if she doesn’t come over and make things right and give him a blow job. He was threatening to call immigration on her yes so that she know how to you know she went to she wasn’t even near going down to give him perform oral sex on him before he slapped her away and said you know you what are you doing you know you need to put a condom on and and she’s trying to miss me and I’m so sorry and he’s like you can’t even can’t you understand what you’re saying you know and just, you know. ‘speak English’, you know he called her derogatory comments and then he’s like ‘you know what, you don’t know what you’re doing. have her come over and show you how it’s done’. And so, I again I said that I didn’t you know I had to go over there or else he was going to call immigration on Maria I didn’t know if it was true or not, but I felt that you know he said that if I was if I didn’t show her how to perform oral sex on him then he was going to call immigration on her and then get rid of us both.

You know it was anything that was in relation to him getting off or being satisfied or happy had to do with him being in power but extreme power. And it was always intimidating when he was like that. It was always you didn’t really know if it was true or funny. It’s like if you refuse to play along would he really call immigration on Maria? Would he really get rid of us both. And I didn’t even want to know what that meant. You know I always didn’t --- it wasn’t a game. We just felt like it wasn’t a game.

The one night that I had the blonde wig on, he mentioned that I looked like, I reminded him of his daughter. And actually the the the maid fantasy I didn’t have a blonde wig on. And I was trying to stay away from blonde wigs at the time. But he actually requested -- told Tiffany that that’s when he wanted me to wear like he wanted in these and anytime I put it on anytime I had it on and he’d see me would say oh man you … remind me of my daughter it was a sick evil like mmm you remind me of my daughter. It was just this weird pleasure sick smile like I don’t even want to know what he was thinking about. I could imagine what he was thinking about…

The last encounter that I had with Donald Trump --- Tiffany approached me about a rape scene that was he’s supposed to be played out and I didn’t like the sound of that at all, but Tiffany promised me ... if it was anything I wasn’t comfortable with we could stop. That she would be right there and that and it wouldn’t get out of hand and that it was just a fantasy like it wasn’t really gonna happen. And so I told her that I would I mean Tiffany was always nice to me. I felt I trusted her else I will you know and I wouldn’t always trusted her or done what she asked me to but she was there.

And he came in and I was basically tied to a bed with pantyhose, and ... they were so tight it hurt to even like lay there and I tried to say something and he’s just ‘shut up’ and ‘shut up bitch’, you know, this is it was basically like he was he was being really really rough, and I understand that I don’t I mean it just didn’t seem like a fantasy, and I started to get scared, and he was you know basically like ripping my clothes off, and I was actually real I scared I got freaked out I told him that I don’t want to do this.

I screamed over for Tiffany and she was like Mr. Trump ... this is scaring her and he’s like ‘oh, you shut up, too’ - he just turned into this animal. It was a completely different person. It was like everyone in the room was scared of him and ... it was like a I couldn’t do anything about it.

And he ripped off all my clothes and he started to basically have sex with me and I was screaming, because I never had sex before was my first time and Tiffany was yelling at him too she was saying I was a virgin and he told us to ‘just shut the fuck up’ and just basically took my virginity while I was crying and telling him to stop and that’s basically begging for him to just stop. And Tiffany didn’t know what else to do either no one was there to help us -- or me.

And so after the fact and he he he basically finishes it and didn’t it didn’t take that long at all I mean but it was just it felt like it was like five and a half hours well it was an eternity like I don’t even know how long it was but he was done and I was crying and Tiffany was consoling me. And she was apologizing. She told me that she would never ... put me in that situation again.

But he comes over mad because I was crying -- he said that I should be thankful that someone like Donald Trump took my virginity. Well he didn’t say took my virginity he said I should be glad that someone like Donald Trump popped my cherry and not some pimply little 14 year old. And ... I said what if I get pregnant not even talking to him. I didn’t want to talk to him. I was talking to Tiffany. And he said well you’ll get an abortion then bitch and then just walked away and I ... told Tiffany I needed to go home. I never went back again.

Obviously it was traumatic for “Katie” to relive her experience on camera, but she felt she had to warn America what kind of monster we were about to elect.

The fact that Trump has a chance to be the next president makes me feel disgusting inside. I’ve always been proud to be an American, and I think we live in a beautiful country. But I just see him ruining everything. He’s a horrible what he portrays on the outside isn’t even that great, but people don’t even know the half of it -- how evil, how sick and twisted that man is.

Two days before the election, Katie scheduled a press conference at the Los Angeles office of her attorney, Lisa Bloom, and lots of reporters showed up. But then something happened, according to Politico:

“Jane Doe has received numerous threats today,” Bloom told the assembled journalists and TV cameras. “She has decided she is too afraid to show her face. ... She is in terrible fear.”

Raheem Hosseini of the San Francisco Chronicle, who reported on “Katie’s” lawsuits at the time, offered more detail:

“The morning of the presser, Katie found out that her phone had been hacked,” Evan L. Goldman, a New Jersey civil litigator who represented Katie Johnson, said via email. “This freaked her out, (she) did not go through with the presser and shortly thereafter instructed me to dismiss the law suit. There have been a few attempts (several years ago) to get her to go to the press, but she wants nothing to do with this any more.”

Clearly she was traumatized by the threats she received before the press conference - she vividly remember Trump’s threats when he raped her:

Trump threatened me that, were I ever to reveal any of the details of Defendant Trump’s sexual and physical abuse of me, my family and I would be physically harmed if not killed.”

So it would be no surprise if she never contacted the FBI about Epstein or Trump, even after Epstein’s highly-publicized death in 2019 when other victims like “Jane Doe 4” filed their reports confidentially.

However, one of “Katie’s” lawyers - Thomas Meagher - did report “Katie” to the FBI, as reported by Kate Manne. In this report, she is called “Jane Doe.”

“During the first party, [Jane] Doe was asked to strip down to her underwear and give a massage to Epstein.... Doe was asked by Epstein to do sexual acts, but she refused. Doe was later asked to massage the penis of Epstein’s guest, Trump, with her hands. Doe was told that this was what she had to do in order to get a job and Doe complied.”

“During the second party, Doe was asked to perform oral sex on Trump and complied. During the third party, Doe was made to perform oral sex on Trump with another young girl named [redacted]. During the fourth visit, Doe was raped by Trump.”

“Epstein was angry that Trump was the one to take Doe’s virginity and then went on to rape Doe... Doe struggled and was struck by both men during the assault. Doe was then threatened with violence by both men to not make any report of what happened: “We’ll make you disappear like [redacted].””

Among the 3 million documents released so far, the only other references to “Katie Johnson” involve emails in 2016 from a Reuters reporter to Epstein’s lawyer requesting comment on one of her lawsuits, which Epstein shrugged off.

But given the similarity to the stories told by so many other victims, DOJ’s failure to interview “Katie” seems like gross incompetence - or an important piece of a massive coverup.

And that’s exactly why everyone who is reporting on “Jane Doe 4” should start reporting on “Katie Johnson.”

Update #1

Clearly the White House is terrified of “Jane Doe 4” because they decided to run a vicious anonymous smear campaign against her using The Guardian - shame on them.

The White House allegedly leaked the FBI’s missing 302 interviews to the Guardian and called them “non-credible.” The smear campaign raises these questions:

1. Was Epstein actually in Hilton Head in the 1980s? His brother says he was unaware and “I would have known.”

   1. Perhaps. But if you want to claim Mark Epstein is authoritative, then you also have to accept his claim that Jeffrey was murdered in prison during Trump’s first term. Does the Guardian agree?

2. There is no evidence Trump and Epstein knew each other in 1983.

   1. Perhaps. The dates cited above are 1983-1985. In 2002, Trump told New York Magazine he’d known Epstein for 15 years, which would start in 1987. That is close enough to 1985 - and Trump’s memory is unreliable enough - to make Jane’s story possible.

3. The Guardian was unable to corroborate the account of her mother’s prison term or criminal case, or if it occurred.

   1. Perhaps. We don’t know Jane’s real name, nor her mother’s, so it’s impossible to verify.

4. The Guardian has identified a woman matching the biographical details in the FBI records. She has faced several fraud and theft charges in Washington and, in 2023, a felony charge for the exploitation of an elderly person in Georgia. It is not clear how those cases were resolved.

   1. Perhaps. We don’t know Jane’s real name so it’s impossible to verify. To be clear: The Guardian is staking its entire journalistic reputation on this particular claim, so they’d better be able to prove it with openly reported facts - not blind character assassination.

That these facts are not established does not make them false.

But here are the facts that point to Jane’s credibility

1. The FBI interviewed her four times at the Washington state law offices of her attorney, Barry Brandenburg. If the FBI didn’t believe her, they wouldn’t have interviewed her four times.

2. Jane sued Epstein’s estate which ended in a settlement. If she was lying, it’s unlikely the estate would have settled.

3. Jane’s story was corroborated by her friend, who also reported it to the FBI (see image above.)

4. 18 U.S. Code § 1001 makes it a crime to knowingly and willfully make any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement. Penalties include imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000. This would apply to both Jane and her friend. There is no evidence either one was charged.

Bottom line: DOJ hasn’t published the missing documents, so no one should rely on the Guardian’s anonymous smear campaign.

DOJ must release ALL the documents to Congress as required by law.

Wall St. Journal reports DOJ admits it is still reviewing 47,635 Epstein documents, including references to Trump.

Axios has a good starting list of Trump’s collapsing coalition.

• Podcast populists: The Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files and aggressive immigration enforcement has alienated some anti-establishment podcasters who helped shape his appeal to young men in 2024, including Joe Rogan and comedian Andrew Schulz.

• Nonwhite voters: Trump’s support among Black and Latino Americans has slipped since he made major gains in 2024, as cost-of-living pressures continue to weigh heavily on these communities.

• Farmers: Even after Trump rolled out a $12 billion “bridge payment” to offset tariff-related losses, agricultural leaders warned this week of potential “widespread collapse” if Congress fails to act.

• Gun owners: The administration’s response to the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti — who was legally carrying a firearm when he was killed by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis — has dismayed some Second Amendment advocates.

• Antiabortion activists: The FDA’s approval of a generic version of the abortion pill mifepristone — along with Trump’s call for Republicans to be “flexible” on federal abortion funding — has angered key pro-life leaders.

• Iran hawks: Foreign policy hardliners and diaspora groups want Trump to follow through on his promise to help Iranian protesters topple the regime — frustrated that he has opted, for now, to pursue diplomacy.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here are a few more:

• MAGA Republicans: Marjorie Taylor Greene has gone from Trump’s most devoted MAGA supporter to one of his fiercest critics, saying MAGA was “all a lie.”

• Black Republicans: Tim Scott denounced Trump’s disgusting racist attack on the Obamas.

• Neo-Nazis: Nick Fuentes urged his supporters to stay home in November so Democrats take control of Congress and impeach Trump.

• GOP Billionaires: Ken Griffin, a billionaire who donated millions to Trump and conservative groups, is attacking Trump for corruption and crony capitalism.

• MAHA: RFK Jr. supporters are angry at Trump for failing to eliminate food dyes, junk food and carcinogenic pesticides.

• Anti-vaxxers: As measles cases explode, Dr. Oz is begging people to get vaccinated.

• Homophobes: Focus On The Family is making a new push to outlaw gay marriage, but Trump is MIA.

• Evangelicals: lots of Latinos are fervent evangelicals, but ICE is kidnapping and deporting them like all other Latinos.

As Trump jettisons one group of supporters after another, he’s making absolutely no effort to win over new supporters. Quite the opposite: with every midnight tweet, he finds new allies to alienate.

If the midterms were held today, Trump and the GOP would get crushed. By the time we get to November, it will be a bloodbath.

Naturally we carried a wide variety of protest signs - many of which say “Abolish ICE.”

And our protests are causing an earthquake in Congress because the budget of ICE is up for a vote, and Democrats are adamantly opposed to funding more ICE murders.

Still, Democrats are split over how exactly to end ICE murders.

Those who represent communities that are being terrorized by ICE agree that we should abolish ICE.

But Democratic leaders - Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries - want only to “reform” ICE with 10 specific policy demands they call “common sense.”

1. Require a judicial warrant

2. No masks

3. Wear ID

4. Stay our of hospitals, schools, child-care facilities, churches, polling places, and courts

5. Stop Racial Profiling

6. Reasonable use of force policy

7. Coordinate with State and Local governments

8. Stop detention center abuses

9. Body cameras

10. Civilian uniforms and weapons

All of these demands are valid and important. But there are two problems.

First, Republicans refuse to consider any of them, which is why we’re headed towards a DHS shutdown in a week that will affect ICE, CBP, FEMA. TSA, and the Coast Guard.

Here’s a typical MAGA response from Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA):

“This is not about reforming DHS. This is about the Karen wing of the Democratic party that wants to defund ICE, just like they wanted to defund the police.”

Clearly there isn’t much spirit of negotiation on the Republican side.

Second, even if Republicans completely flipped and enacted these reforms into law, Donald Trump and Stephen Miller would simply ignore them.

(And don’t look to the courts to enforce them, since ICE has already defied 100 court orders in Minneapolis alone.)

So ICE “reform” is a dead end, both politically and legally.

To end ICE murders, the only realistic alternative for Democrats is to abolish ICE.

Unfortunately, moderate Democrats are terrified to say “Abolish ICE.” As always, the bedwetters are led by something called “Third Way” - highly-paid DC insiders who believe Democrats win swing voters by attacking the party’s progressive base.

He warns the “abolish ICE” slogan may not be universally embraced among voters across the country. Democrats hoping to flip districts or win over swing voters, Cowan said, should lean into different language, such as calling for a “reform” or “overhaul” of ICE.

He likens the debate to when many Democrats coalesced around the “defund the police” movement in 2020, a decision that Cowan argues created an opening for Trump to paint Democrats as soft on crime.

“People embraced an emotionally satisfying slogan that in the long run proved to be politically toxic and a barrier to getting serious police reform in the country,” Cowan said. “We are in grave danger of the same problem happening for those who are embracing abolish ICE.”

I’m not a highly-paid DC insider, but I know a whole lot more about voters outside DC than they do because I have talked to such voters - and listened carefully - for 46 years.

In addition, I study the polls, and support for ICE is collapsing.

ICE has a net approval rating of -22% overall, and -37% among those crucial Independents that Third Way loves so deeply.

Moreover, 25% of Republicans oppose ICE - 37% of non-MAGA Republicans and 13% of MAGA Republicans.

I can’t think of another issue where Democrats can win 25% of Republican votes.

The bottom line is clear: abolishing ICE is urgently needed policy - and winning politics too.

Jonathan Martin has the ultimate DC insider interview with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear describing his plan to win the Democratic nomination for President in 2028.

Bizarrely, Beshear rejects a strategy of opposing Trump because he believes that just makes him a Democratic Trump.

“by the time that we reach 2028, the country is going to be tired,” Beshear argued. “And they’re going to be so tired of what Trump has done, the idea of having a Democratic version of Trump is more than that — it’s exhausting.”

Memo to Beshear: there is an ocean between opposing Trump and becoming him.

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump has become a fascist dictator. That’s not harsh left-wing rhetoric - it’s the documented truth.

In 2020, Trump lied about losing his re-election and assembled a violent mob to invade the Capitol to overthrow the election of Joe Biden by force. And if Trump’s own Vice President was murdered, Trump was ready to blame him for standing in the way of mob rule.

As he began his third campaign In 2023, he vowed revenge against the entire government:

“In 2016, I declared: I am your voice. Today, I add: I am your warrior. I am your justice. And for those who have been wronged and betrayed: I am your retribution.”

“I will totally obliterate the deep state. I will fire the unelected bureaucrats and shadow forces who have weaponized our justice system.”

And when he returned to the White House in 2025, he delivered on this promise by purging every government official who disagreed with him in any way.

He also declared war on Democratic cities and states, illegally withholding funds appropriated by Congress and illegally sending the National Guard to show off his fascist power.

Last week, Trump’s fascism was unmasked in Minneapolis with ICE’s murder of Renee Good. Americans watched the murder from every angle with horror but Trump and his regime insisted our eyes were lying to us and that Good was really a terrorist.

Now Democrats in Congress and across the country are demanding accountability for murder, removing ICE from our cities, and eliminating Trump’s masked secret police.

This fight against fascism is indeed exhausting - but every true Democrat is committed to waging this fight because the only alternative is surrendering to fascism.

If Andy Beshear wants to understand how profoundly he is “missing the moment,” he needs to stop talking to DC insiders and instead give a speech to the people of Minneapolis about surrendering to Trump.

When he gets denounced by every single Democrat in the state, he might get a clue as to the stakes of every election in 2026 and 2028 - namely that we need courageous leaders who will fight Trump’s fascism with every ounce of their strength.

Donald Trump is adamant about making Greenland our 51st state.

Stephen Miller’s wife Katie Miller even painted an American flag on it.

Of course the people of Greenland - and their government in Denmark - are adamantly opposed. But if Trump sends the Delta Force, who exactly is going to stop them?

So what would happen if Greenland becomes our 51st state?

They will get one Representative and two Senators - all of whom are likely to be socialists.

The government owns the fishing company Royal Greenland, which is also the country’s largest single employer; the shipping company Royal Arctic Line; the housing company INI; the ferry company Arctic Umiaq Line; the logistics and retail company KNI; the national airline, Air Greenland; the telecom company Tusass; the clothing company Great Greenland; the construction and renewable-energy company NunaGreen; the investment company Nalik Ventures; the real estate company Illuut; the utility company Nukissiorfiit; and the tourism company Visit Greenland.

How will that affect Congress?

Of course, Bernie Sanders and AOC will be thrilled to have new soulmates.

More importantly, Greenland’s representatives could flip the outcome of key votes in the Senate and House since these votes are already so close.

And that alone is a good enough reason for Democrats to say YES to Greenland statehood.

But why stop there?

The District of Columbia voted overwhelmingly for statehood in 2016.

After Trump’s tyranny, DC would probably vote 100% now.

And what about Puerto Rico? They also voted for statehood in 2024.

Surely the U.S. citizens of DC and Puerto Rico who already voted for statehood should get statehood before Greenlanders who adamantly oppose it.

And what about our other territories - the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa?

Like DC and Puerto Rico, they already elect Representatives to Congress - but those Representatives are not allowed to vote.

So let’s upgrade them all to states so their Representatives can vote - and they get two voting Senators like every other state.

Some might object that the territories have too few people to deserve statehood.

• Guam: ~153,836

• U.S. Virgin Islands: ~87,146

• American Samoa: ~49,710

• Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI): ~47,329

That’s a fair point - but Greenland has only 56,542 people. making it smaller than Guam and the Virgin Islands and only slightly larger than the others.

So Democrats should make a deal with Trump - say YES to Greenland statehood in return for DC, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa.

That’s a total of seven new states, most of whose Senators and Representatives are likely to be Democrats.

And that would give Democrats control of the Senate and House for years to come.

So let’s make a deal with Trump!

Americans across the political spectrum were united in horror over ICE’s brutal murder of Renee Good.

Most Democrats in Congress vehemently denounced the murder and demanded accountability in the form of impeaching Kristi Noem or slashing funds for ICE.

But not a handful of stupid “centrist” Democrats like Susie Lee (D-NV), Greg Landsman (D-OH), and Matt Bennett of Third Way.

To be clear: some “centrists” are completely clear-eyed like Scott Peters (D-CA):

“What we’ve seen in Minneapolis and in Portland is what happens when we militarize against our own people,” said Rep. Scott Peters (D-Calif.). “We’ve got a level of funding that makes ICE bigger than a lot of militaries around the world.”

Peters, a leading member of the center-left New Democrat Coalition, said he is “totally open” to trying to reduce ICE’s funding and quipped: “Consider me a progressive.”

But other “centrists” are simply stupid as I explain below.

Susie Lee opposes the impeachment of Kristi Noem because

an impeachment vote would hurt Democrats in swing districts.

Really Susie? Do you really believe swing district voters want masked ICE thugs to shoot them in the face? If so, please present a poll taken after Good’s murder.

Clearly Susie Lee has PTSD from impeaching Trump twice - only to have him return to the White House determined to get his vengeance. But Kristi Noem was never elected outside the tiny state of South Dakota. And most voters who have an opinion about her dislike her.

Greg Landsman thinks brutal ICE murders are not an important issue for his voters.

“It adds to the larger narrative of chaos and concern for this administration,” said Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio), but ICE “has never been a top three issue” in his district. “Right now, it’s: The economy, affordability and health care.”

Really Greg? Do you believe historic polling averages are more important than news events that voters find shocking?

For example: on September 12, 2001 do you think voters in your district were more concerned about the issues at the top of polling averages on the morning of September 11?

News flash: voters consume news every day, and some stories shock them. Any politician who ignores those horrified voters will lose.

Matt Bennett would rather insult progressives than use the power they have now to force changes.

“[Abolish ICE] is a virtue-signaling effort that does resonate well with the very online left and signals to most normie voters that you don’t believe in immigration enforcement”

“Stopping ICE thuggery is a goal that all Democrats share. The question is how best to bring that about? And our view is, win elections and throw these bums out and reform the agency.”

Really Matt? Do you believe Democrats should do absolutely nothing until they control the House, Senate, and White House in 2029 - or 2099?

The stupidity of these three “centrist” Democrats is driven by one thing: their complete inability to understand polls. How so?

Polls change. Civiqs has been asking about abolishing ICE since 2018. At the height of Trump’s campaign against immigrants, only 19% supported abolition versus 66% who opposed. Now 42% support abolition and 49% oppose. That’s a net swing of 40% from -47% to -7%.

Why did the polls change? First because Kamala Harris became our nominee last August and spoke up strongly for legal immigrants. Second because ICE’s appalling abuses were captured on video and went viral on social media.

That shift has coincided with a steady stream of abuses captured on video and shared widely online. Footage of masked agents pulling people into unmarked vehicles, accounts of families torn apart during raids, and abuses involving U.S. citizens have made ICE feel less like a distant bureaucracy and more like an unpredictable and malignant force operating in plain sight.

Events change. When voters were asked about ICE in 2024, Joe Biden was President and ICE was doing its job: capturing and deporting violent criminals.

But in 2025, Donald Trump declared everyone who overstayed a visa to be a violent criminal including our quiet, hard-working, law-abiding neighbors.

As we learned about ICE abuses under Trump, voters turned against ICE.

Politics change. Most of the opposition to ICE has come from progressive Democrats. But over time, less progressive Democrats like Joe Scarborough started denouncing ICE. And now Joe Rogan is speaking out:

“You don’t want militarized people in the streets just roaming around, snatching up people — many of which turn out to be U.S. citizens that just don’t have their papers on them. Are we really gonna be the Gestapo, ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”

Rogan’s anger did not come out of the blue - he has denounced ICE before. His opposition comes out of his political ideology, which leans libertarian rather than Republican.

Of course, there is a much bigger issue than the polls - the fact that Trump has turned ICE into his Gestapo and refuses to condemn their criminal actions - including murdering Renee Good.

Americans all across the spectrum understand this - except stupid “centrist” Democrats who don’t understand polls.

After illegally kidnapping Nicolas Maduro, Trump took a victory tour and threatened to bomb even more countries like Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and Greenland.

But in his heart, Trump realizes his flagrant defiance of the Constitution could have personal consequences.

That’s why Trump begged House Republicans to win in November:

“You got to win the midterms, because if we don’t win the midterms, it’s just going to be — I mean, they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.”

It’s our Constitutional duty to prove Trump correct.

Of course it’s not easy to impeach a President, and certainly not to convict him in the Senate, since we failed twice in his first term.

But we can succeed this time if we have a better plan.

First we must help Democrats win back the House in November, just like we did in Trump’s first term in 2018. With Trump’s net approval rating a dismal -16%, winning the House is entirely within our grasp.

Then House Democrats must form an impeachment committee to draft specific articles, which will not be difficult given the vast number of impeachable offenses Trump has committed, including

• Sending a military force into Venezuela without a Congressional declaration of war

• Sending National Guard forces into Democratic states over the objection of their governors without declaring an “insurrection”

• Sending masked ICE agents to assault US citizens because of the color of their skin

• Cancelling billions in projects funded by Congress, including foreign aid, medical research, education, child care, renewable energy, and so much more

• Weaponizing the Justice Department to prosecute his Democratic enemies

• Failing to release all the Epstein Files in 30 days as required by a near-unanimous vote of Congress

Then Democrats must put their articles of impeachment up for a vote in the House.

And that’s when our real work will begin, because we will need Republican support to convict Trump in the U.S. Senate, where Republicans blocked conviction twice in his first term.

What should we do differently to convict Trump in the Senate?

First, we must make sure every Democrat running in 2026 campaigns on impeachment. Some Democrats already are, but we must demand it of every last one.

Second, we must elect a Democratic majority to the Senate by flipping North Carolina, Maine, Ohio, Alaska, and as many other states as we can.

Third, we must make sure all of our 2028 Presidential candidates demand impeachment including Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, Pete Buttigieg, Andy Beshear, Cory Booker, and everyone else who runs.

Fourth, we must put serious grassroots pressure on every Republican up for election in 2028 - and then defeat everyone we can as we sweep our Democratic nominee into the White House.

In other words, we must make impeachment one of the top issues in the 2026 and 2028 campaigns.

Of course that will run into resistance from Democratic leaders, who will endlessly remind us we need 67 votes in the Senate to convict Trump - and we will be lucky to have 51 Democrats.

But just because conviction is hard is not a legitimate reason not to try. In fact, it is our Constitutional duty to do everything we possibly can to uphold it.

Trump flagrantly defies the Constitution every single day because he believes the Republican Senate will protect him.

That is not what the Founding Fathers wanted - a President who acts like a King because his party will defend him no matter how many crimes he commits.

And we see the results of Trump’s lawlessness every day.

Ultimately, our freedom as Americans depends on our Constitution. That’s why every politician and government official must swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Upholding that oath cannot be optional or we have no Constitution and no freedom.

If we want to be free, we have no choice but to impeach and convict Donald J. Trump.
