But money wasn’t the first investment I made. Long before my portfolio grew, I was investing in things that couldn’t be measured on a brokerage app.

Today, there are only four things I try to get a little better at every day.

1. Health

Money means very little if your body can’t keep up with the life you’ve built. The older I get, the more I realize health isn’t a reward for success.

It’s the foundation of it.

2. Relationships

The people around you shape the person you become.

Family. My wife. Friends.

The conversations we have are worth more than many of the things I’ve ever bought.

3. Knowledge

Books. Podcasts. Curiosity.

Every good financial decision I’ve made started because I learned something new. Knowledge always compounds faster than money.

4. Wealth

This comes last. Not because it isn’t important.

But because wealth is the result of doing the first three consistently over a long period of time.

The funny thing is when people ask me what I invest in. They usually expect me to say ETFs, stocks or even Bitcoin.

For me, those are only the last layer. The real investments happen long before money enters the picture.

That’s what I want to explore here. Not just how to build wealth. But how to build a life that’s worth being wealthy for.

— Bob
