My interpretation of Western wedding attire isn’t overly literal. I’m thinking beautiful dresses in earthy colors, silk, romantic prints, lace details, fringe details, and silhouettes that feel at home against a mountain or ranch backdrop. Pieces that work with boots if the setting calls for them, but won’t make you feel like you’re wearing a costume.

The Inspo

I love the contrast of a beautiful muted green silk dress with minimal Western accessories. It gives a nod to the setting without feeling overly themed. I found two dresses that capture the same idea: a simple silk style from Reformation and a lace-trim DÔEN dress. For the more minimal silhouette, I’d add a Western belt, then finish with either a simple heel or a cowboy boot.

The second look leans a little more Western, but what really caught my eye was the yellow, I love this color against a barn or mountain backdrop. I love this incredible lace De La Vali dress, which honestly needs very little, and a butter-yellow Reformation dress with a sheer cape-like layer that feels especially perfect for a mountain setting, and the tonal yellow floral Reformation dress is also so pretty. I love the idea of incorporating a touch on animal print here so this leopard Liffner clutch fits right in, and a touch of earthy glam with these beautiful pearl and topaz drop earrings.

I kept coming back to this tangerine silk dress, but it wasn't until I came across this Pinterest photo styled with brown cowboy boots that it finally clicked. The boots ground the look and make it feel perfectly at home without taking away from how elegant the dress is. I've also included another beautiful corset-style gown in a similar shade, here’s another great under $100 option from Zara I came across before hitting publish! I included a contrasting teal silk slip dress that pairs beautifully with the rich browns of the accessories. Finish the look with the brown Liffner clutch and the Paris Texas boots.

The Accessories

This is where I’d have a little fun, especially if the dress itself is simple. A great Western belt can completely change the look, whether it’s turquoise and silver medallions, a black and silver concho belt, or something more unexpected like this cord style with colorful stones.

For bags, I love the idea of adding texture rather than matching everything perfectly: a beaded bag, a cute fringe bag, the Lizzie Fortunato Gala bag I’ve shared before, or a leopard Liffner clutch would all be so good with a simple silk dress. The pearl and topaz drop earrings are beautiful, the perfect little party heels that come in gold and silver, and these Paris Texas suede and leather cowboy boots might be my favorite find of the entire edit.

The Welcome Party

This is where I’d have a little more fun with the Western theme. Think fringe, embroidery, plaid, a fun skirt, great boots and shorter hemlines.

I love the chartreuse mini with beaded fringe for something playful, the gingham tie shoulder dress was the first dress I picked for this collage, and the green satin Zara dress belted to give it a little more of a Western feel. The red plaid Reformation dress is such an easy nod to the theme without feeling costume-y, and the brown fringe skirt is so fun. I love the black dress with cream floral embroidery for something a little different, and this brown knit dress with fringe looks soft and comfortable. Add a great pair of cowboy boots (how gorgeouse are these floral Tecovas?!) or a leather tassel bag and you’re done.

If I’m being realistic, probably 98% of my wardrobe is made up of basics. Tees, tanks, denim, easy bottoms, layering pieces, denim. The things I wear over and over, build outfits around, and keep coming back to.

And most of these aren’t just “summer basics” or “fall basics.” They’re the kind of pieces that carry me through most of the year. A little tank becomes a layering piece under a cardigan. A great tee works on its own now and under a jacket later. The right pair of pants ends up in rotation in every season.

So Basics on Repeat is going to be exactly that: an ongoing edit of the basics I think are actually worth owning and that I’m wearing on repeat.

I haven’t decided how often this series will show up yet, but considering how much of my closet falls into this category, I don’t think I’ll run out of material anytime soon.

These have been in very heavy rotation lately. They’re comfortable enough that I want to wear them constantly, but the pointelle knit makes them feel so much more put together than a pair of sweat pants.

Gap Oversized Crop Tee

I’ve owned this tee for 2 years now. I love that it’s a heavy weight cotton, so it falls somewhere in line between a great tee and a lightweight sweatshirt. In the cooler months I wear it with high waisted denim or layer over my workout sets. During the warmer months, it’s the perfect layering pice and the perfect piece to tie around your waist without adding too much bulk.

The $12.60 Zara Tank

Ordered this on a whim and immediately ordered the black. The fit and fabric are just right. It has the perfect amount of rib to give it a good fit and recovery so it doesn’t look stretched out, without feeling too synthetic.

It’s one of those inexpensive little tanks that ends up becoming a wardrobe workhorse. Easy to dress up for a night out and great for everyday.

And at $12.60, it’s very hard to argue with.

Lululemon Track Shorts

Another repeat offender.

I love these because they’re obviously athletic, but they’re cute enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing actual workout clothes every time I put them on.

One of my favorite ways I’ve styled these are with the Donni tank mentioned above, cashmere cardigan, and flip flops. Last week i wore them with the $12.60 Zara tank and the Gap cropped tee tied around my waist. Whenever I add a third piece to my outfit i feel so much more pulled together (ie: something over your shoulders or around your waist)

Gap Modern Long-Sleeve Tee

I tried searching back in my order history to see how long I’ve been wearing these tees and I can confirm it’s been over 5 years. The Modern collection doesn’t miss. I like to size down for a tighter fit.

One of my favorite details is the wider, more substantial neckband. It makes the tee feel a little more elevated. It’s simple enough to layer under anything, but polished enough to wear on its own.

The $25 Abercrombie Bra-Free Tank

A true wardrobe workhorse. It’s comfortable, flattering, doesn’t require a bra, and I reach for it constantly. One of those inexpensive basics that ends up doing more work in your closet than almost anything else.

The Toteme Jacket and price friendly option from Zara

Everyone loved this Toteme jacket, and I completely understand why. The bad news: it’s $690. The good news: an amazing follower found a genuinely great Zara version for around $130. Same cool, minimalist energy at a much easier price.

Gap Bandana-Print Shawl Cardigan

We’re starting to see little glimpses of fall, and this cardigan is such a fun personality piece. It’s the kind of layer that makes jeans and a t-shirt feel like an actual outfit, and I think it’s going to be so good through fall and winter.

Lululemon Track Shorts

I now own these in four colors. They’re effortlessly cool, extremely comfortable, and became an immediate part of my everyday uniform. The kind of shorts you put on once and then suddenly need in every color. A few colorways on sale here.

The Raffia Cowboy Hat

Such a fresh take on a summer hat. The raffia keeps it light and beachy, while the cowboy shape makes it feel unexpected and new.

Salomon Sneakers

I love these so much that I bought a second colorway with black accents. They work with practically any activewear and make an outfit look instantly cooler. I’ve also heard they’re still everywhere in Europe, so yes, they’re very much relevant. More importantly, they’re extremely comfortable. I love this new colorway with the silver accents. The good combos have been selling out quickly.

Sizing note: I generally go down a half to a full size.

“Big Daddy Studs” AKA CZ Diamond Studs

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale reminded everyone how good these are. They’re $32, look like real diamonds, and make an amazing everyday earring. I think the two- and three-carat sizes are perfect if you want a believable amount of sparkle.

BEAUTY

Korean Body Resurfacing Instant Peel

This completely knocked my socks off. You massage it onto dry skin and immediately see the gommage start to ball up in front of your eyes. Then you hop into the shower, rinse it away, and you’re left with ridiculously soft, resurfaced skin. It’s one of those products where you can actually see and feel the difference immediately.

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump

A lip product that’s hydrating, volumizing, glossy without being sticky, and gives you the perfect amount of color. I bought two shades Primrose and pink-nude but honestly, you can’t go wrong. Choose whichever shade is normally your go-to. It’s also available on Amazon but I like looking on the Tarte site for colors.

ARCONA Triad Pads

I’ve used these every morning for more than ten years. They’re the first step in my AM skincare routine: they wipe away anything left from the night before and create the perfect clean canvas for skincare and makeup. The Anniversary Sale set is two for $50, which is such a good value.

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick Set

Creme Cup has been one of my favorite lipstick shades since 2017. It’s the perfect everyday pink, and the Anniversary Sale set pairs it with a coordinating lip liner. A classic for a reason.

Theraplush Retinol Hand Cream

This lives on my bedside table, and I use it every single night. The Xtra-Milk scent is incredible, the canister looks chic enough to leave out, and it would make such a good gift.

Nordstrom Organic Cotton Bath Towels

A very satisfying home upgrade. The set was on sale for $93, and the towels feel incredibly plush and luxe.

The $35 Travel Pants

An absolute must. They’re airy, buttery, and somehow fit me even better than the roughly $250 pair they appear to be modeled after. They were a travel MVP for me, but they’re polished enough for everyday wear and depending on your office, you could absolutely wear them to work too.

Pumice Stones

A set of four for under $10, and an absolute must for every man and woman. My husband recently discovered the one in our shower and is now fully converted. Use it consistently after a shower or bath even once makes a noticeable difference. Don’t wait for your next pedicure to deal with rough heels. This little thing is a game changer.

Crep Protect Rain and Stain Barrier

This is what I use to protect suede bags and shoes from rain and stains, and it was also the star of my first viral Reel. Not the most glamorous product in the roundup, but possibly one of the most useful, especially before you wear a new suede purchase for the first time.

The $16 Eyelet Top of the Summer

It’s officially more than a bestseller, it became the unofficial top of the summer. I still can’t believe how good it is for $16, and one of my favorite parts has been seeing all of you style it.

Down-Alternative Pillows

We bought this set of two for my son’s room and they’ve been great. If you need new pillows or you want an easy guest-room upgrade, these are comfortable, and affordable. Experts generally recommend replacing pillows every one to two years, so this affordable two-pack is an easy upgrade.

Blue Beaded Necklace

A fun little addition to a necklace stack. The blue adds just enough color, and it’s an easy way to make the pieces you already own feel fresh again.

But if we’re talking about gifts to buy, this year I decided to keep a running list of the things I’ve been wearing, using, and loving on repeat. No fancy collages, just a raw list of what’s in heavy rotation, what I’d love to gift, what I’d love to receive, and what I’m actually giving.

2. Beauty I LOVE

• Don’t hate me, but one of the recommendations I firmly stand by are the Bioprogramming hair devices. These “treatment devices” have replaced my traditional hot tools, so every time I dry or style my hair, it feels like I’m adding moisture back in instead of causing damage. The technology is a bit vague, I get it, but after using them for over two years, I can confidently say they’re worth every cent. My hair has never been healthier. These are the exact items I own: curling iron & hair dryer. Here’s a video I shared on instagram a while back.

  

• Roz Haircare: is wonderful but this type of thing is hard to buy for yourself. Hands down one of my favorite duo’s is this. I don’t mean to brag but coming from someone who doesn’t have inherently gorgeous hair I have to tell you I AIR DRIED my hair the last 2 washes and this is the only reason why it looks good.

• Sleep Crown: I’m putting this in beauty because we all need our beauty sleep. If you like sleeping with something over your eyes or on your face, this feels like a soft hug from a cloud. It’s the most calming, soothing thing. I actually left mine at a hotel and frantically called to have them mail it back, which says everything. They’re almost always sold out, but there’s a restock Tuesday at 9am CT. Set your alarms.

  

• Retinol Hand Cream in the best scent ever. Plus, it looks pretty on your nightstand.

4. On My Personal Wish List

• The Brick! this is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until @things.i.bought.and.liked told me it’s a must. It’s a physical device that lets you block distracting apps and websites on your phone. You tap your phone to it to “brick” your apps, and you can’t undo it unless you tap it again, which adds just enough friction to actually stay off your phone and reduce screen time.

• These overpriced jelly flip flops

• Bamboo flatware I have been thinking about for a couple years now.

• My girlfriend recently taught me how to play Rummikub, it’s so fun and surprisingly easy to pick up. We played a game while the kids were running around, which felt like a win. It pulled together the easiest outfit. Nothing groundbreaking, but it somehow made everything feel elevated and right for a night out. It was a good reminder that the pieces you rely on most are not always the trendy ones, but the classics that quietly do all the heavy lifting.

Every year I look back at the Amazon items that sold the most. What made this year feel especially good is that my personal favorites ended up being your most purchased items too. Sometimes I question if what I’m sharing is too “all over the place.” One slide I’m sharing a pair of jeans and the next is my favorite spin mop, but clearly we’re shopping the same way, and I’m grateful you stick with me.

Beauty:

If I had to pick one product from my entire makeup bag, it would be my Tinted SPF. It evens out my skin, gives just enough coverage, and protects at the same time. Busy mornings, no-makeup days, and perfect to use as a base layer under makeup, this one checks every box. I wear shade light. Here’s an unhinged video of me applying it directly to my face and blending it in with a brush (not necessary), most days I put the product on my fingers and apply directly to my face but you can see here it’s fool proof and I love that it’s buildable.

Plumping Lip Gloss: another standout that continues to hold me off from getting lip filler. It gives subtle fullness, looks good alone or layered over your favorite lip color.

Prequel Foot Rescue: a non-negotiable part of my nightly routine. If you deal with dry or cracked feet, this works. I like to slip on a pair of socks after applying it, and you’ll notice a difference after just one use. Wildly effective.

I’m also adding the Rapid Rescue Immune Support pills here. I’ve been sick nonstop since the start of the year, and it’s felt like nothing has really helped. I love having these on hand to give me a boost of vitamins. Whenever I feel a sniffle or tickle coming on, I take these, and they’ve saved me more than once. Great before travel or anytime you’re feeling run down.

What I’m Wearing

I rarely share or wear clothing from Amazon. A couple of years ago, I realized those were usually the first items to be discarded when I cleaned out my closet. I love a good-quality find that actually holds up, which makes this one feel worth sharing.

I’m a big fan of Negative Underwear. They make some of the most luxurious pajamas with beautiful fits. I was reordering my favorite thongs on Amazon and happened to click on the seller, only to realize they had an entire pajama line that looked nearly identical to my beloved Negative set. I ordered it, and it did not disappoint.

I know not everyone feels comfortable spending $300 on pajamas, so I’m genuinely excited about this find. The buttery soft modal ribbed pajamas are $25 for the pants and $20 for the top. I did a side-by-side comparison with my Negative Underwear set, and the fabric quality is identical. The main difference is the snaps on the pants. My gorgeous friend also ordered and confirmed their greatness. She’s wearing a small top and medium bottom.

My favorite thongs are also from this brand. They’re 3 for $18, comfortable, breathable, and actually hold up. I used to say they were a better version of the Skims Fits Everybody thongs, and I still feel the same. Knowing they come from the same brand as the Negative Underwear–style pajamas makes total sense, because the fabric really is that buttery soft.

Another shocking find is this leather tote. See below for a side by side. The Hermes Picotin is one of my favorite bags I own. I hate to say it but it’s nearly impossible to spot the difference between the 2 bags.

Cleaning Products + Home Organization

Some of the most purchased items this year were cleaning products which honestly makes me laugh a little but I love it.

• The Spin Mop: you think your floors are clean until you use this. It does the scrubbing for you. I add my wood floor cleaner to the basin and use it on all hard surfaces. I get asked constantly: yes, it’s safe for floors. It’s not a steamer, just a scrubber which is why I can use it on wood. It comes in a corded and cordless version.

  

• Puracy Stain Remover: this saved me from calling a professional when my toddler drew on our sofa with a dry erase marker. With this spray and my Bissell upholstery cleaner, the stain was gone. We use it on everyday clothing stains too.

  

• Aunt Fannie’s Sink Refresher: smells like fresh-squeezed lemons. I sprinkle it in the sink after dishes or at the end of the night and makes my kitchen feel fresh.

• Oversized storage tote bags: These were true MVPs during our cross-country move. Perfect for packing bedding, clothing, seasonal storage, donations, truly endless uses. The handles make them easy to carry, and I love the clear window so you can see what’s inside.

  

• This Compact Photo Printer is such a fun and useful gadget. I use it to fill frames around the house and add photos to baby books. It prints directly from your phone in under a minute and makes printing memories feel easy instead of overwhelming.

Longtime favorites & recent loves

My parents slept on them and then bought a set for themselves. I’m now ordering another set for our bed. They wash beautifully and feel far more expensive than they are.

I also got new towels for Christmas, and I’m embarrassingly excited about them luxurious, plush, and such a nice upgrade.
