Here is something I posted this on my Facebook page a few weeks ago as I completed a long phase of reflection on my life’s work. August is the end of that period of reflection and as this is the final day of a very challenging month for many, I am posting this as I now move fully into my ACT III and welcome September with a heart full of gratitude, love and positive expectancy.

Since beginning my work: I’ve given over 2,000 live talks (including the audio recordings of them), counseled hundreds of people (many for free), written and published 12 books, logged hundreds of hours of teaching videos, officiated many weddings and memorials, driven hundreds of thousands of miles to give talks, created and published Miracle Magazine, done all the accounting and office work, experienced many miracles and healings, written hundreds of essays and articles and so much more.

And just since the year 2000 I’ve given over $168,000 in donations to organizations such as Save the Children, Project Angel Food, Feeding America, Foundation for Inner Peace, Miracle Distribution Center, St. Jude’s, Children’s Hospitals, Ronald McDonald House, APLA, Gay & Lesbian Centers, Global Green USA, the Los Angeles Mission, Science of Mind Archives, Vision CSL, Wounded Warrior Project, GLAAD, the Infinite Way, the Trevor Project, Heath House, and more - plus thousands of dollars given to people I know and people on the street.

And I could not be more grateful for it ALL. I’ve received so much more than I’ve given and ALL of these accomplishments came through the Grace of God and my willingness to show up, prepared, on-time, doing what I said I would do, with a good attitude and to keep walking through the open doors. I have had the help and assistance of SO MANY people over these 40+ years - human angels were there every miraculous step of the way!

This is not at all the life I wanted or planned, but it has been so much better than my puny little schemes for myself - and though I’ve made my share of mistakes, the miracles managed to keep things moving and getting me back on track somehow. Like most lives, it’s been full of challenges and difficulties too many to list - and that is not the drum I want to beat anymore anyhow. Like George Bailey in my favorite movie, I did not get the life that I went for and wanted - thank God! And so, it’s been a truly wonderful life.

I’ve only been to New York once in my life and that was 30 years ago. But, I subscribe to Mayor Mamdani’s YT channel and he pops up on my feed almost daily, smiling and radiating JOY as he DOES SOMETHING GOOD TO HELP PEOPLE IN HIS CITY. Today I watched a video where a little boy came up to him asking that the park near him, which had been closed for year be reopened. Within two months it was opened. Bam!

It’s 3,000 miles away from me and has nothing to do with my state and yet it sometimes makes me CRY WITH JOY and GRATITUDE to see people being served by a TRUE public servant.

He is not “winning” or even competing. He just flips on the LIGHT day after day after day. And there are millions of other people flipping on the LIGHT in their own homes and communities every single day - people who do not have a YT channel or social media. It’s everywhere, all around us, all the time.

There are no “little” acts of kindness because there is no order of difficulty or size in miracles. The Course says that we are generous out of “self-interest” simply meaning that it MAKES US FEEL GOOD and everything we put out there actually is magnified in our own lives. Loving and helping is a fabulously selfish thing to do.

Dolly Parton has been a part of my life since I was a child watching her every week on the Porter Wagner Show in the 1960’s. She was a true miracle worker who was a living inspiration as well as someone who worked tirelessly to bring more LIGHT and JOY to the masses.

Years ago I started telling the story of the cast of “Steel Magnolia” being on the old Oprah Winfrey show and Julia Roberts telling the story of how HOT it was during the filming and that Dolly was the only one not complaining. When Julia pushed her to admit she was hot under that wig and all the clothes, Dolly replied, “My whole life I wanted to be a famous movie star and I’m not going to complain now that I’m here.” Everyone on the Oprah Show laughed and then Dolly added, “Don’t be a baby.”

It’s a huge heat wave here in SoCal right now as well as being very humid. Dolly is on my heart and mind more than ever this week since she made her transition back to the non-physical and I am keeping in mind her advice to “not be a baby” whining about the heat. In fact, years ago I made this meme as a reminder for my people. I said, around here we don’t “man up” we “DOLLY UP!”

I feel like she is an angel on my shoulder now reminding me to have more JOY and to not forget to DO SOMETHING EVERY DAY to be helpful to someone.

Above the Battleground: Be lifted up, and from a higher place look down upon it. From there will your perspective be quite different. Here in the midst of it, it does seem real. Here you have chosen to be part of it. Here murder is your choice. Yet from above, the choice is miracles instead of murder. And the perspective coming from this choice shows you the battle is not real, and easily escaped. Bodies may battle, but the clash of forms is meaningless. And it is over when you realize it never was begun. How can a battle be perceived as nothingness when you engage in it? How can the truth of miracles be recognized if murder is your choice? When the temptation to attack rises to make your mind darkened and murderous, remember you can see the battle from above. - A Course in Miracles

Let us remember that “projection makes perception” means that we are seeing the world that WE are projecting. Neville Goddard says that everyone we see is “ourselves pushed out.” Ernest Holmes and Joel Goldsmith begin everything with the reminder that there is only ONE power, not two. Therefore, there is nothing to fight against or compete with except what we ourselves have conjured.

There is no devil, no demons. Spiritual warfare is a fight against nothing more than the boogeyman that is self-created. “Speak of the devil” simply means that whatever you give your attention to, you draw to yourself even if it is a total fabrication and illusion. We CREATE what we DEFEND AGAINST. It is victim consciousness which wants to blame everything on something “out there.” It happens all the time - people CREATE their own monster and then say, “the thing I have greatly feared has come upon me!” as Job said.

The “tiny mad idea” is the thought that we could be separate from God. It is a JOKE to think this. However, if we take it seriously, you can attract and create an actual “enemy” simply because you BELIEVE IT. And what we believe, we attract, we manifest, we see. We are free to attract scarcity, pain, enemies, or we can relax into the REALITY of JOY, peace, and love.

There is no such thing as a “spiritual warrior” or “spiritual gangster” except for those who want to cling to the idea of FIGHTING and WARRING under a spiritual guise. It’s like putting pink icing on a shit cake. People who teach “spiritual warfare” are simply trying to manipulate you with fear.

There is no lack, no scarcity. There is nothing to fear. But we are totally free to terrify ourselves day and night because we are CREATORS. AND the GOOD NEWS is that we can change our minds in AN INSTANT. “Repent” literally means to TURN AROUND. Turn around because you are going in the wrong direction. That’s all. And the SECOND you turn around, you are GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION again. Light moves at the speed of light. There is no need to go to WAR with the darkness, to battle the darkness, to overcome the darkness, to conquer the darkness, to resist the darkness. Just turn on the fuckin light and it is INSTANTLY GONE. It was nothing to begin with.

Worry is nothing more than taking the CREATIVE FORCE of the UNIVERSE to “manifest” what you DO NOT WANT. Simply turn that around and start IMAGINING the BEST instead of the worst. SURRENDER by laying down the sword and shield and then “rest in God.” Take 3 deep breaths and give up the illusion that fighting will get you anywhere. Jesus said, “resist not evil” and we say “what you resist, persists.” Same thing. What we give out attention to is what will seem to be our reality. So, if this happens, what to do? Choose once again. Rise ABOVE the world of appearances and start living by GRACE.

And here is one more tool for healing the mind:

You are safe. You are loved. All is well.

I said in the weekly Mastermind Group I lead on Sundays that if I were stranded on a desert island and could only have 3 books they would be A Course in Miracles, the Science of Mind textbook by Ernest Holmes, and Living by Grace by Joel S. Goldsmith.

In both the Course teachings and Joel’s writings there is an emphasis on the two words, “God IS” - Joel writes:

Thirty years ago or so I wrote the “daily affirmative prayer” which begins with “God IS with me now.” I really could have ended it right there but I was not yet at that level of spiritual understanding so I went on quite a bit. 🤣 I still had a lot of fear and anxiety and needed many more words to get myself in alignment with spiritual Truth.

Over the years I’ve gotten much better at simply being still and listening, knowing that “God IS” and that I am loved and don’t need to micromanage the Universe to get my “needs met.” Yet, it does FEEL GOOD to me to SPEAK THE WORD as I was taught so many years ago. EVERYTHING is ENERGY and VIBRATION and our spoken words are POWERFUL CONTAINERS FOR ENERGY so I love speaking my world into existence.

Recently, I made myself a little “Cliff’s Notes” version of the daily affirmative prayer which makes me FEEL GOOD, so I thought I’d share it here for anyone who may find it helpful. Remember, these are not magic spells - you can change my words to fit YOU, so this is merely a template. It’s not about the specific words but rather the VIBRATION, the FEELING that the words INVOKE within you that matters. For instance, I write “They” because I think in terms of “Mother-Father God” now and not as “He” - but you should choose words that fit your own practice. (I also think of Mother-God as Our Lady of La Dolce Vita) to neutralize my old Catholic upbringing of “perpetual suffering.”)

“TRUST. This is the foundation on which their ability to fulfill their function rests. Perception is the result of learning. In fact, perception is learning, because cause and effect are never separated. The teachers of God have trust in the world, because they have learned it is not governed by the laws the world made up. It is governed by a power that is in them but not of them. It is this power that keeps all things safe. It is through this power that the teachers of God look on a forgiven world.
When this power has once been experienced, it is impossible to trust one’s own petty strength again. Who would attempt to fly with the tiny wings of a sparrow when the mighty power of an eagle has been given him? And who would place his faith in the shabby offerings of the ego when the gifts of God are laid before him? What is it that induces them to make the shift?” - A Course in Miracles, Manual for Teachers

Teachings such as the I Ching and the Tao te Ching remind us that everything is energy and we are wise to tune-in to the energies that are present so we can be a cooperative component to our greater good. To everything there is a time and a season.

There are many people right now who are finding a great weariness, low energy, or things stagnating or not moving forward - or not quickly enough to suit the ego. When this happens it is often a sign that we need to step back, observe, rest, and TRUST that Infinite Intelligence is always at work in our lives.

It is said that when the weather conditions are such that the fishers cannot go out to sea, they go inside and repair their nets. For us, this may have nothing to do with the weather but with the current energy patterns in our lives or around us. It doesn’t matter what time of year or season it is where we live. To repair our nets is to remember the Spiritual Truth and go within to consult the Higher Authority on at least a daily basis.

The quote above from the Course is something I return to over and over again because it reminds me to trust that no matter how things may appear, God has not lost my file. I need to trust the process of life and stay AWARE of the energies rather than trying to force or resist. I remind myself frequently that right here, right now, I have everything I need to be happy if I will simply let go of my attachment to thinking I know what should be happening. I rest in God.

I was mistaken when I thought I lived apart from God, a separate entity that moved in isolation, unattached, and housed within a body. Now I know my life is God’s, I have no other home, and I do not exist apart from Him. He has no Thoughts that are not part of me, and I have none but those which are of Him. - A Course in Miracles, Lesson 223

Last week I wrote about the ego’s obsession with bodies. This was during a 20 day ACIM review of the lesson “I am not a body. I am free.” Throughout the Course we are reminded that the Light is IN US - not in our body, but in our Consciousness. We ARE that Light which IS God and do not exist apart from it anymore than a wave exists apart from the ocean. We are ONE.

Now, we’ve heard and read this forever, but it is quite another thing to DEEPLY contemplate it as Truth. This is why the Course reviews that lesson for 20 consecutive days - to AWAKEN US to the Truth. We have been hypnotized by the world to believe that we are this body or that our spirit is trapped in it like a prison. But lessons 114 & 189 tells us:

We are not a body. We are spirit. The practice then is dropping body-identification and becoming spirit-identified. We let go of tribal thinking and the “serial adventures of the body.” We see that we have always been free. It was only a story of limitation.

STOP for an INSTANT and breathe that in. “I AM SPIRIT. I AM LIGHT.”

This is the awakening. The spell is broken when we begin to see Who we are at last. The illusion begins to lose its grip. THIS is the freedom we seek. We stop running around like “chicken little” screaming that the sky is falling and we rest in God. Peace. Be still. Fear is exchanged for TRUST.

We have a Guide - a Holy Helper here in this illusion to guide us through if we will simply surrender control and exchange it for TRUSTING the Source. Of myself, I can do nothing, but there is a Light within that does the work as I surrender to Grace. We do not beseech an imaginary dude in the sky to fix our lives - we are not petitioning something up there or out there. We turn within where the Presence abides and we invoke the Light to COME FORTH and lead us to the peace, love and JOY that is the Kingdom remembering that God’s Will is ALWAYS GOOD.

Try focusing on the Light within you today. Close your eyes from time to time and breathe in this awareness - awaken to it more deeply than ever before. Call it forth and say to yourself, “I am one with the Light which IS God. I am safe. All is well.”

It takes great learning to understand that all things, events, encounters and circumstances are helpful. It is only to the extent to which they are helpful that any degree of reality should be accorded to them in this world of illusion. - A Course in Miracles

The past 12 months or more of my life have been ones of great reflection and contemplation. So many of the early lessons in my life have come around again to help me in this contemplation. One very significant one is the “River Parable” from Richard Bach’s book “Illusions” which I read in 1979. It’s the story of river creatures who spend their lives fearfully clinging to rocks, terrified of the current - until one lets go, trusts the flow, and learns that the river lifts them free instead of destroying them.

In this year of reflection I’ve had the opportunity to look at my life and see how many things I misinterpreted at the time and how it all unfolded so amazingly as I learned how to let go more and more. Letting go is the extreme opposite of what most of us have been taught by the world. We’re usually taught that a good life is one of acquisition and GETTING and HOLDING ONTO WHAT WE GET. But the life of Spirit is one paradox after another. I call it “Opposite World.” In the image below, what I mean by “the more you’ll have” is the more joy, peace, fun and sanity.

In 2006, I had a very huge “let go” when I DECIDED that I was going to DO whatever it took to be happy. I let go of the way I’d been living for the previous 20 years and moved to a tiny efficiency apartment in West Hollywood. I stopped doing anything that did not bring me JOY. I thought it was going to be the end of something, which it was, but it was only the beginning of something so much better.

Though these 20 years since then have been full of great challenges and seeming loss after loss, I now understand that every seeming loss was also a gain. Every ending created space for something new. For a long time all I focused on were the losses - the people who passed over, the endings of relationships, all the favorite places I used to go that didn’t exist anymore, youth gone, and all the ego interpretations of life in the physical.

Now, with some distance and time, I see these 20 years have been the happiest times of my life - the most peaceful and joyous and centered in Truth. Much of what I called “loss” at the time were concepts and beliefs that were only weighing me down and holding me back. I had to let go of “hope” in exchange for Truth. And though 2026 has had its own challenges and issues, this has been the most wonderful year of my life so far. I feel complete and happy with all that I’ve accomplished in this lifetime. But it took a lot of letting go of old limiting beliefs and concepts to get here.

I am only speaking for myself here. I’m not trying to speak for you or anyone else. This is my own experience and understanding which I am simply sharing for anyone who may find it helpful. I’ve given up the role of “teacher” and am simply a brother sharing my own experience and what I’ve learned with those who want it and are willing to find out for themselves.

It all starts with a decision. Decisions program the Cosmic GPS and soon enough the highlighted route begins to light up - often in subtle ways that don’t necessarily look all that “spiritual.” For me, it was my DECISION to be happy and to stop making myself UNHAPPY. And now 20 years later, my life looks NOTHING like I THOUGHT “happy” would look like and yet I’m happier than ever. What I had to let of there is judging according to appearances and caring what anyone else thinks or says about me and my life.

Yesterday I watched a fabulous documentary about “the Rocky Horror Show” on Amazon Prime. It brought back a lot of memories because I saw the movie version the day it came out back in 1975. I think I was the only person in the theater. The movie flopped pretty hard when it first came out. But I saw it again at a midnight showing in Provo, Utah in 1981 with the FULL audience participation crowd after it became a cult hit.

As you probably know, it is a modern rock version of the Frankenstein story and is full of people letting their freak flag fly HIGH. It’s delightful AF. As such, it is really focused on bodies, bodies, bodies. Tim Curry plays Frank-N-Furter, a “mad” scientist transexual alien who is creating his own perfect “creature.” And it is about two very uptight strangers dropping in and exploring their own hidden selves and bringing them out to play.

The workbook of a Course in Miracles includes 20 days of a review of the lesson “I am not a body. I am free.” And in my opening meditations for my classes and mastermind group I almost always include a section on letting go of “body-identification” in order to rise UP in Consciousness beyond the perceived limits of the body. This is no small thing. In fact, my introduction to metaphysics (as with many of us) came about because of issues around this body I am using as part of my “temp job” here on Earth.

I had a LOT of anxiety and depression while growing up and it would manifest in all kinds of physical symptoms, including being covered from head-to-toe with itchy red hives! My doctor plainly told my parents that my issues were all “in my head” and that I must be a worrier. SO TRUE! But this came very naturally as my parents were worriers AND were totally obsessed with their bodies! Add to that my going to Catholic school every day and all the bullshit we were taught which just created SHAME about our bodies and sex. SIN, SIN, SIN! GUILT AND SHAME.

After that appointment my mother gave me a book titled, “The Hypnotism Handbook” which gave instructions on how to go into trance and then basically do positive affirmations for healing. Wow! A door had opened for me that day around 1973 which has led me down a long path of understanding that the body is a reflection of mind and all real healing is the healing of the mind.

In the early days of the AIDS crisis, I taught a workshop at what was then called “The Los Angeles Center for Living” - what later morphed into Project Angel Food. It was a house in Hollywood where people with AIDS/HIV and other illnesses could come for FREE services. The workshop I taught was about releasing guilt around sex and sexuality because at the time there was a LOT of hatred and attack from religious sorts about the gay community and AIDS. And in many ways, it’s not much different now. The world is OBSESSED with a lot of religious and spiritual nonsense about bodies and guilt and shame and blame.

There are even Course in Miracles students who will become OUTRAGED if you mention homosexuality or trans while talking about the Course. So ridiculous! William Thetford, co-scribe of the Course was a gay man. And Reed Erickson, was a trans man who gave the initial money to publish the first printings of A Course in Miracles. This just shows us how even with years of spiritual study, the ego still says, “I’m very loving and spiritual as long as you don’t bring up something that upsets my way of seeing the world.” If there is something we CANNOT TALK ABOUT, that is the very thing that needs to be addressed. Keeping things secret and hidden is what ego LOVES because it makes healing impossible.

I’ve had a very long journey with this body of mine because I was methodically taught to hate and fear it. It is an ongoing process but I will say that I have more than merely made peace with it now - I actually appreciate and love it. But mostly, I find that the more I take my focus OFF of it entirely, the healthier it seems to be. I don’t tell stories about it and identify with it. I don’t tell funny stories about aging or try to DEFEND it. I don’t care if it “looks old or young.” I can even finally look at it in the mirror and bless it with no shame or guilt. And when I look down at it, I’m grateful to it for getting me around in the physical world.

I will say that I don’t like to see pictures of this body now as that does trigger me into body-identification. I know that it’s just an IMAGE but if I see it in a photo it makes it easy for ego to bring back the old illusions and beliefs of my cultural brain-washing. So, like an alcoholic who chooses not to drink alcohol, I choose not to look at photos of myself that will send me down to hell.

I do a lot of healing work for others these days on the “Healing Table” here in my home. It’s “distance healing” so the physical body of the person is not present, but it really makes no difference because it’s the mind that’s being healed anyhow. Ultimately, it’s only our perceptions that are being healed. Which brings us back to the Rocky Horror Show.

That movie continues to heal a lot of people by allowing them to free themselves from the bondage around the body and self-expression. It’s as “holy” and even holier than a lot of “church services” which continue to teach guilt and shame about the body and our roles and labels.

Over these many decades of teaching I’ve had many students who were sex workers or porn performers. I’ve had many students and clients who are gay, bi, trans, non-binary, and everything in between. As a Lightworker, my job is to help them find the Peace of God - and to talk about whatever they want to talk about. I celebrate them as they are because I see that we are simply Children of God coming together to be free of guilt. We are healed together by the Holy Spirit leading us to the Truth that “I am not a body. I am free.”

My first spiritual teacher Terry Cole-Whittaker taught us, “What you think of me is none of my business” and it is even more true today in this age of social media and the habit of being in the business of everyone else. And decades ago Marlo Thomas created the TV special “Free to be, you and me” which might be a great show for the world to revisit now.

I don’t spend much time in my teaching talking about the fact that I am gay because it’s not really a big deal to me and I assume everyone knows anyhow. I DO mention it if I think that it will help someone there who is dealing with guilt or shame or judgment about such things. And if it pushes the buttons of someone in the audience, then it’s about reminding them they still have buttons that are fucking up their peace. And if it validates someone in the room who is still dealing with shame and guilt over their sexuality that they have nothing to be ashamed of, that is awesome!

I also watched a funny yet poignant movie yesterday called “Maddie’s Secret” by the hilarious John Early. He wrote and directed it and in it he plays Maddie, a woman who is becoming a “food influencer” and whose secret is bulimia. It is a little like this old “after school specials” of the 70’s. And it is evidence that we’ve made very little progress even in these days of “body positivity.” Just about every TV commercial is about FIXING the body as if it were nothing but an endless problem and burden. The real “fix” is seeing there is nothing to fix - AND I have nothing against plastic surgery, gender reassignment, tattoos, piercings, cross-dressing, sex work, swingers, or anything that is not infringing on another or harming them.

The Answer is the same as with everything the Course teaches - FORGIVENESS. “Forgiveness offers everything I want” it tells us. Forgive the body and forgive the mind that judged it. Forgive the culture that taught us a lot of bullshit about it and remember that “what they think of us is none of our business” anyhow. Replace fearing the body to accepting, blessing and even loving it - or even just stop focusing on it and entrust it to Spirit. “Take no thought what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear.” - Matthew 6:25. You do you. Follow your own Divine Guidance. God is on the Field.

And if you find resistance is strong and dedication weak, you are not ready. Do not fight yourself. But think about the kind of day you want, and tell yourself there is a way in which this very day can happen just like that. -A Course in Miracles

The ego loves the idea of “making things happen” and conquering situations and even self. This is a high-anxiety, high-stress path. Remember that the Tao does nothing and yet everything is done. This is one of the paradoxes of the spiritual life and Brother Jesus spoke of them often.

It seems irresponsible to the carnal mind to relax and trust that a Greater Power can handle the details of your life; therefore the path of least resistance appears lazy and unambitious. But let Us remind you that divine thinking is 180 degrees away from the thinking of the world. When you fight against something you merely give it your power and it grows stronger.

Whipping yourself, your world and the people around you into shape is endless and hopeless. Rise above the battleground today, end the war within, walk away from the fight and instead become the Visionary that you are. Remind yourself that what you really want is a day of happiness and peace and that the way to this goal is not to make it happen, but to get out of the way and let it happen.

If something is part of the divine plan for your life, you can make all kinds of mistakes and things will still continue to unfold in a nearly effortless manner. If it is not part of the divine plan, you can do everything absolutely perfectly and things will still continue to fall apart in an atmosphere of struggle and efforting.

You cannot make anyone love you and you cannot earn love no matter how perfectly you do everything or how much you give. None of your strategies will really work - you may attain form, but the content will simply not be there if it is not part of the divine unfolding of your life. And if someone does love you, you may make an enormous amount of mistakes and act in a truly unworthy manner over and over again . . . and still, there they are loving you. Your part is to do your best FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, not to get or keep anyone or anything.

Giving and receiving are the polar opposites of paying and getting. Paying and getting require strategizing, planning and organizing. Giving and receiving are natural and spontaneous, like breathing in and out . . . no thought or strategies required. Trying to earn love, respect, acknowledgment and approval are exhausting and do not work. Replaying the scenes over and over to see how you could have done it differently or more perfectly to make it happen or make it work is a terrible kind of self-torture.

Anything that is truly yours by divine inheritance can never be taken away. People and situations are ALL temporary loaners for this physical incarnation and some stay longer than others. What is yours forever is the content, the lessons learned, the love given and received.

Let go of trying to make anything happen and instead let Life show you what is already working, what is already yours . . . and practice remaining open to receive whatever is next.

“Gospel” mean “good news” and to me, that is what gratitude is all about. I like spreading GRATITUDE more than spouting scriptures. In fact, gratitude and appreciation are my MAIN spiritual “practice” these days. It is a way of praying without ceasing but it is a constant prayer of “thank you, thank you, thank you” to everything from my comfy bed to the trees lining the streets to the books I love to read and the movies I watch and the people who bring me food at restaurants to this body that gets me around.

One of my primary daily affirmations now is “The Universe is my good Friend and gratitude is my religion.” I know you’ve all heard of having a gratitude journal, but what I have is more of a private detective notebook that I use to constantly record the evidence that the Universe is my Friend and that there is a vast conspiracy to BLESS ME every day all day long. And as Louise says in the quote above, the more I gather up this evidence, the more of it there is to gather.

Author Pam Grout wrote a delightful book some years ago titled, “Thank and Grow Rich” which focuses on this and it has some wonderful games and exercises to play to amp up that VIBRATION in our lives. We ask for rest today, and quietness unshaken by the world’s appearances. We ask for peace and stillness, in the midst of all the turmoil born of clashing dreams. We ask for safety and for happiness, although we seem to look on danger and on sorrow. And we have the thought that will answer our asking with what we request.
“I rest in God.” This thought will bring to you the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and the happiness you seek. “I rest in God.” This thought has power to wake the sleeping truth in you, whose vision sees beyond appearances to that same truth in everyone and everything there is. Here is the end of suffering for all the world, and everyone who ever came and yet will come to linger for a while. Here is the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself.
“I rest in God.” Completely undismayed, this thought will carry you through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of God. There is no suffering it cannot heal. There is no problem that it cannot solve. And no appearance but will turn to truth before the eyes of you who rest in God.
This is the day of peace. You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed. Yours is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude on you. You call to all to join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God. If you click on the image above it will take you to my updated website. I wanted it to be a reminder that in the midst of all the storms of life, we can remember that our house is built on rock and not on sand and that the Light is always there to guide us through our fears.

The Spiritual Truth is like a Lighthouse that we can keep our inner-vision on to stop us from crashing on the rocks of appearances when things get crazy. We are all of it. We are the Lighthouse, the rock, the storm, the boat, the captain - there is only the One and there is nothing outside of us.

In the opening meditations of my classes, I often guide us to “the secret place of the Most High” and the “upper room” where we enter “the Mystic Protection Program” by leaving the world of appearances and remembering Who we are. In this place, we rest in God - the Infinite Divine Presence. This is where we “cast our cares” on the Presence and can let go of trying to control, fix, manipulate and all the other fear-based strategies of the ego mind. We “rest in God” and surrender control in exchange for living by Grace.

Yesterday, I asked Spirit for an answer to an important question I’ve had for some time. I asked for a very specific sign - this is something I have almost never done. And I received the exact sign I’d asked for within a very short period of time. As important as the answer was, it was also a great reminder that Spirit is “closer than breathing, nearer than hands and feet.” We are never separate from our Source and from direct communication with Infinite Intelligence and Love.

Ask and EXPECT an answer. Then, relax and let it go while still PAYING ATTENTION. God is always on the Field. Fear not. Be not afraid. The Universe has not lost your file so you can afford to rest in God as long as you are doing your part of keeping your eyes on the Spiritual Truth. In the meantime, practice radical gratitude and give thanks BEFORE the miracle appears.

You may wonder how you can be at peace when, while you are in time, there is so much that must be done before the way to peace is open. Perhaps this seems impossible to you. But ask yourself if it is possible that God would have a plan for your salvation that does not work. Once you accept His plan as the one function that you would fulfill, there will be nothing else the Holy Spirit will not arrange for you without your effort. He will go before you making straight your path, and leaving in your way no stones to trip on, and no obstacles to bar your way. Nothing you need will be denied you. Not one seeming difficulty but will melt away before you reach it. You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only purpose that you would fulfill. As that was given you, so will its fulfillment be. God’s guarantee will hold against all obstacles, for it rests on certainty and not contingency. It rests on you. And what can be more certain than a Son of God? - A Course in Miracles

Grace dissolves ALL past karma from this life and every other life you have ever lived. It is ALL-inclusive and trumps everything else. It makes no difference what the planets are doing, what numerology year this is for you, what is happening to the economy or in politics, what the tarot cards and psychics say, how old you are, what your “fixed income” may be, how long it’s been since you experienced a miracle, what the past-precedent is, where you live, what your genetics are, what illness or condition your body has, or anything else that you could use as your excuse for giving in to fear, worry, limitation or despair.

All you need to accept is that your plan does not work, and God’s DOES. And God’s Plan is always GOOD. It is not a Plan that is thrust upon you - it is what YOU really desire in your heart. It is your desire for peace, love, joy, health, prosperity, success, freedom and all that is good. The only divergence is in HOW you THINK it should, or CAN happen. YOU are the limit, not Spirit. Spirit has GOT THIS and has GOT YOU. But fear and resistance will interfere with the flow. And impatience actually DELAYS the timing of everything. 

YOUR PART is to remain in a state of calm delight and appreciation as much as possible. And even after all this time, many of you are still so uncertain and of “little faith” the moment something “unexpected” happens in the physical.  Please, BE STILL when the “storm” hits and all will be well. Go within. Slow down and stop all efforts to “fix” everything before you’ve even asked Us for Help. Take time to pay attention to the good, the lovely and the things of good report. Get busy BLESSING OTHERS while your miracle is germinating in the non-physical. Pass the time feeding yourself the Spiritual Truth and knowing that whatever issues may arise, they too shall pass, and God is on the Field.

Everything physical is still made up of whirling swirling ENERGY - the EXACT same energy. The energy itself is neutral. What you do with it is what gives it meaning. “I have given everything I see in this room all the meaning that it has for me” A Course in Miracles reminds you. There is nothing wrong with loving money any more than it would be wrong to love a hummingbird, a crystal, a book, or a gardenia. It’s the SAME ENERGY in different forms. 

And that energy is RESPONDING TO YOU. If you hate and fear money, it will hate and fear you right back. There is nothing going on outside of your own consciousness. If you hate the industry you are in, it will hate you right back. If you love the town you are in, it will love you right back. You may not be loved or hated back in exactly the SAME WAY, but life will continue to reflect your own consciousness back to you. It is Law. 

We know this may be pushing some of the buttons of you more “spiritual” types, but that’s only because you have those big honking buttons right out front where they get pushed and keep you stuck in poverty thinking. Those are the buttons that have got to go!

P.S. Say these mantras OUT LOUD with FEELING. “Money loves to be with me. I love money and money loves me!” And keep going - just riff on having a fabulous relationship with money - how fun it is and all the wonderful things you can do with it. Good people do good things with money. It is simply a resource and an ally - a good friend and partner in living in the physical.

Once I was having lunch with a friend who was a screenwriter here in Los Angeles. She usually sold a script every year, but said that she hadn’t sold one in two years or so now. She had been told by a studio head that “no one is buying scripts from people like you anymore.”

I said to her, “You know that’s just a limiting belief, don’t you? Right now someone JUST LIKE YOU, in this very town, is selling her script for a lot of money because she has a different belief. All you have to do is turn around your belief.” So that’s just what she did.

The next week, she sold a script.
