Regrettably I do not believe in god or an afterlife. I am not making any excuses for my feelings since they are mine and I own them. I find it impossible to believe in a deity that has never actually appeared outside of fictional biblical tales. They were written to keep human beings believing in something to give them hope.

If there is a god I challenge he, she or it to appear and prove me wrong. I believe that when we pass there is nothing as it was before we born and given life. That means that we all become a memory. Therefore the good we do on earth is passed on through those we leave behind. Unfortunately the bad we do on earth is not subject to any punishment. Conversely the good we do is not subject to any heaven.

Any pain or sorrow you have while you were alive is part of the memory you leave behind and there is no reward in heaven. Scary as it may be trump, putin, hitler and their ilk will have the same eternal rest as Lincoln, Kennedy, MLK and those who represented the good in mankind. Thus any pleasure they get on earth lives for eternity with no recourse for the bad they did.

Forgive my cynicism I only write what I believe. I’ve lost many people whom I loved and it pains me to not think I’ll ever see them again. This is one man’s opinion but I’d like those who kill in the name of religion to realize there is nothing above to justify your heinous acts.

Every day is another whacked out situation regarding this president. His fragile ego is tearing the country apart and diminishing our status worldwide. He is the laughing stock of the world!

He’s empty threats do not go unnoticed and I’m sure Iran is having the last laugh right now. What a fool believes is frightening. His base is totally foolish to say the least. This guy is an existential threat to mankind. That is not smart is bad enough, that he makes decisions based on his stupidity is horrendous. It must be stopped immediately.

The 25th amendment is there for a reason and nowhere in our past 250 years has there been a need to apply it so urgently. The reflecting pool, the ballroom, the Kennedy Center are minor issues compared to war and peace but this infantile man child is making them paramount. I worry that Iran will eventually build a nuclear weapon that can threaten the U.S. mainland. I also worry about us committing ground troops in an Iraq like scenario. I have grandchildren that I don’t want to see be drafted into a war started by an unfit president to soothe his sick enormous ego. I don’t want Iran to have nuclear capabilities and be a threat to Israel and the entire Middle East. But like juniors Iraq you have to have an exit strategy and this idiot we have now doesn’t know right from left.

This stupid SOB destroyed the Rose Garden and East Wing and now wants to build a billion dollar ballroom. He definitely has more nerve than brains. He embarrassingly redid the Oval Office in putrid gold and foreign leaders laugh at it and him. Since no taste and no heart let him all renovations on the White House. When it comes out of his pocket the cheap fuck will cease and desist!

It is obvious that China is going to take advantage of trump’s dumbness in any of the negotiations. They got his number and they know it. China is a rising economic and military threat and must be dealt with strength. Calling xi his “friend” is not the answer, calling him out for human rights violations and being an existential threat to America and the world is a step in the right direction. trump fears strong dictators like xi and putin but America doesn’t. We are the strongest, most powerful nation on earth and must start acting like it. trump and his administration are not strong enough to lead us through these perilous times.

Once again TACO has fucked up. He knew how to get us into a war but doesn’t know how to get us out. Most of us know he isn’t smart enough to be making decisions on war and peace therefore this is not a surprising result.

I believe we had to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and spreading terrorism throughout the world. We also needed an exit strategy. Like George W. before him, dumb donnie has got us mired in a war with no end result. His bluster that we won the war may work with his maga base and Republicans who fear him, but it sure isn’t working with Americans living day to day. It is way past time to knock out Iran’s nuclear facilities and try to get a regime that is friendly to America and our allies. DO IT NOW before we have the need to commit ground troops in another endless war!!!!

Normally in times of war Americans rally behind their leaders. These are not normal times!!!! We have a president who wavers on every decision (TACO) and world leaders know it. Iran is an enemy state and potential threat to our country, Israel and most of the Middle East. They obviously cannot have a nuclear weapon. In order to achieve peace we must get sane leadership ASAP. Whether this means the 25th or impeachment the sooner the better. Let’s stop being the laughing stock of the world and get an Iranian policy that will work. Let’s put fear into the Iran government that the U.S. is united and resolved and will not bow down to any threat to peace.

I’d like to think my own daughters love and adore me but that doesn’t mean they don’t think for themselves. My older daughter followed her husband and became a trumper. My younger daughter followed her mother and myself and is liberal. Neither were very political growing up. I love both my daughters and am proud that they were able to make decisions even if I may not be in agreement.

Now the trump family is a horse of another color. They tow the family line and completely follow their dad’s maniacal behavior. Maybe they totally agree with him, maybe it’s the money or maybe they were indoctrinated into the family business, no matter they don’t have a voice of their own. I just find it hard to believe that they’re in cahoots with his draconian beliefs. If so it’s just another part of the trump sickness that pervades our nation!

My position has always been that Iran must never get a nuclear weapon and we should get a regime change. I would never sanctify destroying the country and putting innocent civilians in harm’s way.

You’ve gone against common sense to support a man of very limited intelligence and ability, yet you still believe. He told you no wars yet here we are in the middle of a war he claims is a military incursion with no escape plan and you still believe him.

The maga party with its limited knowledge and overblown ideas of patriotism is beyond approach. I am appealing to you Reagan Republicans who believe in a strong America who works with their allies, stands up to rogue leaders and nations, stands up for justice and supports a fair Supreme Court.

Is trump that kind of leader? In your heart you know he’s wrong. Please come to your senses and get him out now before we lose our democracy and all our worldwide prestige!

We all know or have read instances of people turning to God in times of great stress. My question is if God could save. you then why did it get you in that position in a first place? People who are either deeply religious or never prayed both turn to God to save them. Ever think that if it can save you then why were you put in the position of needing saving? If God can save you than surely he or she can prevent bad things from happening.

Now if you are really religious, and truly believe, then believing can be a source of comfort. Personally I don’t pray and get no comfort out of praying. I try thinking thoughts when possible. Nothing can really assuage your feelings when losing a loved one but I always try to honor them by living my life in my own way.

Now please stop and think for all those who believe there is a heaven any pain you had during your lifetime does that disappear at heavens door? Whether you believe or not it doesn’t take away any pain or sadness you suffered on earth.

I can name several instances of human suffering the Holocaust, two World Wars among many other wars, slavery, the Inquisition to name a few of man’s inhumanity toward man. Does this negate any “pleasures” you’ll receive in heaven? You’ve already suffered and that will never go away.

For brevity’s sake I will stop here and add more in a future article including why people look to God to save them in times of great distress.
