We have officially reached the end of the Backstreet Boys’ second summer run of Into the Millennium at Sphere in Las Vegas.

The guys will take the show to Germany soon, but they will not be back at Sphere until December.

Before December gets here, I think we need to talk about something.

And no, I’m not trying to start fandom drama or tell anyone how to fangirl. If you know me, you know I am probably the last person who should be telling anyone to calm down over the Backstreet Boys. I’m also not trying to police the fandom, because damn I hate when people do that.

What I’m going to say comes from a place of concern.

I have seen several videos coming out of Vegas this summer, especially during the last two weekends, and some of them have honestly concerned me.

People running.

People pushing.

People trying to get around fans who have been waiting in line ahead of them.

Hair pulled.

People getting shoved toward walls.

At some point, we have to remember one very important thing.

We are grown women.

This isn’t 1999 anymore.

We aren’t 14 years old trying to get as close as possible because we are convinced Nick Carter might see us in the crowd, fall instantly in love and ask us to marry him.

Brian isn’t leaving Leighanne for you.

AJ isn’t going to spot you running toward Sphere and think, “That’s the one.”

Kevin and Howie aren’t waiting inside to see who wins the 100 yard dash from the gate.

I promise.

You can walk.

And I say all of this as someone who LOVES being close. Give me pit. Give me barricade. Let me be right in the middle of everything.

I get it.

But there has to be a point where we realize getting a better spot is not worth someone getting hurt.

If Someone Is in Front of You, They Are in Front of You

This is where basic concert line etiquette comes into play.

If someone arrived before you and is standing ahead of you, that is their spot.

Maybe they have a few friends joining them. Maybe someone stepped away to use the bathroom. Maybe someone went to grab food after standing outside for hours.

Communicate.

Most people are pretty reasonable when everyone knows what is happening.

What shouldn’t happen is the gate opening and suddenly everyone deciding the original line no longer exists.

The gate opening does not mean GO.

It doesn’t mean run around everyone who has been waiting ahead of you.

It doesn’t mean push through people.

It definitely doesn’t mean shove someone out of the way so you can reach the doors 30 seconds before they do.

If the line starts moving, move with it.

If there is a gap in front of someone, that doesn’t automatically mean they have surrendered their spot and you should sprint through it.

And please, please stop pushing.

We are too old for this.

Our knees are too old for this.

Some of our backs are definitely too old for this.

Nick Carter is not waiting for you, specifically, inside to become his wife.

My Biggest Concern Is Someone Getting Hurt

This is really why I’m writing this.

We joke about fangirl behavior all the time. I have built an entire platform around being an adult fangirl. I have traveled for shows, spent ridiculous amounts of money, waited in lines and done plenty of things that would probably make a normal person question my decision making.

I am not judging anyone for wanting barricade.

Pot, meet kettle.

I will happily admit it.

But there is nothing funny about someone getting shoved into a wall, knocked down or injured because another fan wanted to move a few people closer to the front.

A concert isn’t worth hurting someone.

A pit spot isn’t worth hurting someone.

Barricade isn’t worth hurting someone.

And once pushing and shoving starts, things can escalate quickly.

Security can get involved. Police can get involved. Someone can get removed from the venue. Someone could potentially get banned.

Trust me when I say Sphere knows who is inside that building.

On the very first night of the residency, they managed to track me down in the pit using facial recognition technology because they saw me say on Instagram that I planned to livestream the first song. They found me in a building with almost 20,000 people just to tell me not to livestream.

So yes, they can find you.

Do you really want to risk your night, or future shows, because you wanted to move a few feet closer?

We Are All There for the Same Five Guys

The Backstreet Boys fandom has always had a competitive side.

We know it.

Who has been to the most shows? Who has the best seat? Who got noticed? Who had the best VIP interaction? Who has met them the most? Who has been a fan the longest?

That mentality has been around forever.

But none of those things determine how much someone loves the Backstreet Boys.

You don’t become a bigger fan because you pushed past six people, shoved someone into a wall and tripped someone on your way to getting closer to Nick.

Being at barricade doesn’t make you more important than the fan sitting in the 400s.

Some of us have been here since the ‘90s.

Some fans left after Black & Blue and came back because of Sphere.

Some became fans during DNA.

Some younger fans grew up listening to the Backstreet Boys because their mom played them in the car.

And I think that is pretty freaking cool.

Sphere has brought so many people back into this fandom. It has introduced the guys to people who weren’t around for the original Millennium era. It has given longtime fans another chance to experience an album and an era that meant so much to us.

I would hate for someone’s memory of that experience to be getting shoved into a wall because another fan wanted their spot.

There is room for everybody.

Sphere Has Some Responsibility Here, Too

This isn’t completely on the fans.

Sphere needs to look at what has been happening before the December shows.

I was there during the first weekend of the residency, and the lineup situation was rough.

It was confusing and unorganized. People didn’t know where they were supposed to go or which line they belonged in.

Thankfully, a few higher ups eventually came outside, figured out what was happening and got everyone situated.

When I came back in December, things were much smoother. I even saw some of those same Sphere employees outside.

But the footage I have seen from the past two weekends?

Insane.

If opening the gate creates a situation where people start running and pushing toward the front doors, Sphere needs employees along that route.

Maybe fans need to be released toward the entrance in smaller groups.

Maybe there need to be additional barriers.

Maybe there needs to be a better way of maintaining the original line once the gate opens.

Something needs to change.

Staff can yell “no running” all they want, but if people run anyway and nothing happens, yelling isn’t solving the problem.

It shouldn’t become a free for all where everyone suddenly thinks they are competing on The Amazing Race: Backstreet Boys Edition.

Fans are still on Sphere property.

If someone falls, gets pushed into something or gets seriously hurt because hundreds of people are rushing toward an entrance, that can become a much bigger issue very quickly.

An issue that starts with an L and ends with a T.

Sphere has hosted enough Backstreet Boys shows now to know what happens when you put hundreds of determined fangirls in one place and tell them the doors are open.

We need a better system in December.

We Can Be Crazy Fangirls Without Being Jerks

That’s really where I land with all of this.

I don’t want us to stop fangirling.

Please, be ridiculous.

Scream when Nick does something hot.

Cry during “Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely.”

Wear the outfit.

Make the friendship bracelets. (Sorry I almost started singing Taylor Swift)

Travel across the country.

Spend entirely too much money on tickets, VIP, merch and Vegas hotel rooms.

Lose your mind when the lights go down and those five guys appear.

I will probably be right there doing it with you.

That’s part of what makes being a fangirl fun.

But the woman standing in front of you isn’t your competition.

She’s another fan who is just as excited as you are.

She may have saved for months to be there. She may have traveled across the country. She may be seeing the Backstreet Boys for the first time. She may have waited 27 years for this night.

Her experience matters, too.

So when December comes around, maybe we can all remember the rules we learned before Millennium was even released. You know, in kindergarten.

Wait your turn.

Keep your hands to yourself.

Don’t cut in line.

Try not to run anyone over.

And maybe help the person next to you instead of treating her like she’s standing between you and Nick Carter.

We can still be completely unhinged over the Backstreet Boys.

We can just be nice to each other while we’re doing it.

Because we’re adults now.

Or at least we’re supposed to be.

On August 21, fans had a very special reason to celebrate as Howie Dorough marked his birthday with Cafecito Con Howie. I was lucky enough to celebrate Howie D at this awesome event where Howie had custom coffee (with and without alcohol), a fun and enlightening Q and A, and a beautiful acoustic performance of a few tunes we all love.

From the moment the event began, it was clear that this was more than just a birthday gathering. There was so much warmth, personality, and genuine connection throughout the experience. The favors were absolutely beautiful, right down to the thoughtful details. The custom-made cookies were especially adorable and made such a sweet keepsake from the celebration. The mugs were a great touch and thankfully made it home in my suitcase without a crack. And the meet and greet photos are always the best touch to any of these events.

Of course, one of the biggest highlights was getting to hear Howie sing the Backstreet Boys classic “All I Have to Give” in Spanish. Having heard the song countless times in its original version, hearing it performed in Spanish was such a special surprise. It was something I had never experienced before, and it gave a familiar song an entirely new feeling. It also got me excited to hear what else Howie’s got up his sleeve to come.

And then there’s Howie himself. He is truly a total doll! His name ain’t Sweet D for nothing, and he is so easy to connect with for anyone. He is so much fun to talk to and listen to, whether he’s sharing stories, answering questions, talking about his music, or simply being his naturally charming self. There is such a warmth to him that makes you feel like you could sit and listen to him talk for hours.

One of the things I especially loved about this celebration was seeing Howie embrace and celebrate his Puerto Rican roots. That part of his identity is such a beautiful and meaningful piece of who he is, and it was wonderful to see it woven so naturally into the event. And to see him really start diving into this after so many years of knowing him with the boys was wonderful. His passion and pride really shine through.

It was also exciting to hear more about Howie as a solo artist. While fans have loved him for decades as part of the Backstreet Boys, there is something really special about seeing him step into his own artistic space. He truly shines as a solo artist, and hearing him talk about his music and what’s ahead left me even more excited for the solo work he has coming. And although I’m not a Spanish speaker, I can appreciate the cool sound and sexy nature of his latest single Coqui, especially when Howie’s singing it live accompanied by only a guitar.

The Q&A was another highlight of the event. It was fun, engaging, and gave fans the opportunity to hear directly from Howie. Hearing about his recent accomplishment of learning to fly (literally), and his great skincare genes from him directly was a treat. His personality really comes through when he’s answering questions, and he has a wonderful way of making even his stories and anecdotes feel personal and entertaining.

Overall, Cafecito Con Howie was such a lovely way to celebrate Howie’s birthday. Between the beautiful favors, the music, the Q&A, the celebration of his Puerto Rican heritage, and simply getting to spend time hearing from such a genuinely sweet person, the entire event felt incredibly special.

Here’s hoping this is just the beginning of even more opportunities to see Howie shine in his solo career. I, for one, am definitely excited to hear what comes next!

I’m going to say something that I know a lot of fans have been thinking: the Backstreet Boys need to release new music.

Not next year. Not “when the timing is right.” Not after another anniversary celebration.

Now.

Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love the Into the Millennium residency. I was lucky enough to be there opening weekend, spent Christmas and New Year’s with the boys in December, and it was one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve seen it eight times now. As someone who never got to see the original Into the Millennium Tour because my Mom and I couldn’t afford tickets back then, it felt like I finally got to experience that era the way I always wanted to.

But how long can you celebrate the 25th anniversary of an album?

If this residency pushes into 2027 like many fans expect, we’re talking about celebrating the 28th anniversary of Millennium. I know the Backstreet Boys have always operated on what fans lovingly call “Backstreet Time.” We celebrated their 30th anniversary during their 31st year with the Cancun resort trip. We’re used to things taking longer than expected. It’s why many of us are now getting grey hair.

Still...come on.

At some point, you have to stop looking backward and remind people why you’re still here.

The Sphere has introduced the Backstreet Boys to more than just longtime fans. Every night there are people walking in who haven’t seen them in years or have never seen them. There are tourists looking for a great show. There are casual fans who remember “I Want It That Way” but may not know anything they’ve released in the last two decades.

That’s a huge opportunity. You don’t get many chances to have this many eyes on your band at once.

Right now, “Bottle Up” is getting a lot of attention thanks to PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. It’s fun seeing people discover the song or realize the guys are still recording together, but let’s be honest.

A song attached to a children’s movie can only carry that momentum for so long. It’s an amazing song co-written by the equally amazing Ed Sheeran who I have longed wish the boys would work with.

But I’m hoping the boys are thinking again. After “Bottle Up,” the conversation should eventually become, “Have you heard the Backstreet Boys’ new single?” Not, “Remember that song from the cartoon movie?”

Whether they head back into the studio to record a completely new album or finally dust off songs that never made DNA or In a World Like This, I honestly don’t care. There were some amazing songs that did not make either album. Kevin Richardson played so many of them for us on the 2018 Backstreet Boys cruise. There was one if you were lucky enough to be in the same group I was that Kevin kept accidentally playing called, or had the term “Three words” in it. Release that!

Just release something.

Fans have been waiting.

One thing the Backstreet Boys have always done well is evolve while still sounding like themselves. Every album has had its own identity. They don’t need to chase trends or try to sound like artists half their age. They just need great songs. That’s always been enough.

We’ve already seen this strategy work before.

Back in 2019, they released DNA just a few months before wrapping up their Larger Than Life residency at Planet Hollywood. The timing couldn’t have been better. Fans who had just seen the show had something new to take home with them.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That was their first No. 1 album since Black & Blue in 2000.

It proved something many of us already knew: people still care.

People will still buy the music.

People still want to hear what the Backstreet Boys have to say.

The Sphere residency has reminded the world why these five guys became one of the biggest groups of all time. The production is incredible. The performances are strong. Their vocals are some of the best they’ve ever been, so don’t let that be the end of the conversation.

Give people a reason to keep listening after they leave Las Vegas.

Give new fans something to discover.

Give longtime fans something we’ve been waiting years to hear.

Nostalgia got people through the doors, but new music is what keeps them around, and I think the Backstreet Boys have more great chapter left to write in what is already a legendary career.

I actually wrote most of this post back in March after the absolute fiasco of trying to buy tickets for the Backstreet Boys’ Sphere residency.

After spending hours in queues, watching prices climb, and ending up with almost nothing left but expensive Platinum seats, I decided not to go.

Not because of the boys because my love will never fade.

Not because I couldn’t afford it.

But because I was tired of fighting for tickets.

Fighting scalpers for tickets. For Ticketmaster to raise prices or play their games.

I shelved this post. I kind of forgot about it. Then this week happened.

AJ McLean’s solo tour went on sale, and it reminded me that nothing has changed.

During the Live Nation presale, Ticketmaster kept glitching because thousands of people were also trying to buy tickets for Ella Langley’s tour. The site froze, seats disappeared, it timed out and gave an error when you tried to pay for seats, and I started doing what every concert fan eventually does: panic-buying.

The best seats I could find for Atlanta were front row of the balcony, so I grabbed them before they disappeared.

About five minutes later… second row popped up. Then front row.

Julia and I eventually ended up with two front row seats and an extra second-row ticket in the middle of all the chaos. Thankfully, my friend Penni bought the second-row seats from us.

Now I’m stuck with the front row balcony tickets because Ticketmaster won’t even let me resell them on their own platform. I had to list them on StubHub instead. (If anyone happens to be looking for two front row balcony seats in Atlanta, let me know.)

Then came Friday’s general onsale.

Around 10 a.m., the website was still glitching, probably due to Ella’s tour also going on general sale, so I checked a few times out of curiosity.

By Friday afternoon, I started getting messages from friends saying there were suddenly tons of front-row seats available.

Not regular-priced seats.

Platinum seats.

About $270 each.

That raises a pretty simple question: Where were those seats during the presale? Or during the public onsale?

Why did they suddenly appear hours later on a Friday afternoon?

It’s hard not to feel like fans are being manipulated by Ticketmaster/Live Nation into buying whatever is available because they’re afraid they’ll miss out.

And that’s become the biggest problem with buying concert tickets today.

Buying tickets used to be exciting. You’d log in, hope for decent seats, and maybe deal with a little stress if the show was popular.

Now it feels like you’re preparing for battle.

It’s become normal to log in and see hundreds of thousands of people ahead of you in the queue.

During the Backstreet Boys’ Sphere presales, there were reportedly more than half a million people waiting in line, many of whom didn’t even have access to that specific presale. Metallica fans experienced similar issues during their recent ticket sales.

After waiting for hours, many fans finally get through only to discover that the only seats left are Platinum tickets.

Ticketmaster’s Platinum program uses dynamic pricing, meaning ticket prices increase as demand rises. Many of the best seats are placed into this pricing model, causing costs to climb far beyond face value.

That’s how a ticket that should cost a couple hundred dollars suddenly costs several hundred more, somethings a thousand or more.

For many fans, one concert now costs as much as a month’s rent.

One thing that’s important to understand is that artists don’t necessarily control all of this.

Typically, artists or their booking agents make agreements with promoters, who take on the financial risk of putting on the show. The promoter works with the venue, and the venue often has an exclusive agreement with Ticketmaster to handle ticket sales.

Most artists don’t have a direct contract with Ticketmaster at all. Ticketmaster processes ticket sales, while promoters pay the artist based on the terms of their agreement.

That doesn’t mean artists have no say (check out this article for more information).

Some have chosen to fight for fans.

The Cure pushed back against excessive fees and worked to keep ticket prices affordable.

Noah Kahan and Taylor Swift have requested that dynamic pricing be turned off for their tours.

Garth Brooks took an even more aggressive approach during his 2014 comeback tour. He worked with Ticketmaster to have affordable pricing no matter the ticket location in the venue. The credit card used to purchase the tickets became the ticket itself, making it nearly impossible for scalpers to buy large numbers of seats and flip them for huge profits.

There are tools available to reduce reselling. There are ways to limit dynamic pricing.

More artists should use them.

Ticketmaster also deserves far more scrutiny than it receives, even though they currently had legal issues that didn’t amount to much.

The company has become such a dominant force in live entertainment that many fans feel like they have no choice but to accept whatever happens.

Meanwhile, the people paying the price are the fans.

The ones sitting in virtual queues for hours.

The ones refreshing browsers over and over.

The ones saving for months just to see their favorite artist for one night.

The ones who can’t afford a ticket to see their favorite artists, even nosebleeds, because they have to make rent. Thus, making them feel like less of a fan in the eyes of other fans who can afford those things.

Live music should be about the experience.

It shouldn’t feel like winning the lottery just to afford a ticket.

Howie D’s new solo single and music video, Coquí, is a beautiful celebration of both his artistry and his Puerto Rican heritage. From the very first frame, the music video immerses viewers in the stunning natural beauty of Puerto Rico, with gorgeous beachside scenery that feels warm, vibrant, and deeply personal. The ocean views, sun-soaked landscapes, and island atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a song that clearly comes from the heart.

What makes Coquí especially exciting is hearing Howie fully embrace a Spanish-language song. As someone who has recently shared his pride in his Puerto Rican roots, seeing him step into this space feels both authentic and long overdue. He absolutely delivers, showcasing confidence, passion, and a genuine connection to the language and culture that shaped him. The video feels like a love letter to Puerto Rico, celebrating a side of himself that fans have always known was there but may not have seen expressed quite like this before.

Part of the fun leading up to the release was watching Howie document his language-learning journey on Duolingo. Those playful promotional posts gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the work and dedication he put into preparing for this project, while also making the experience feel relatable and exciting. It added an extra layer of anticipation and made the final result even more rewarding to see.

As a monolingual English speaker, I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t understand every word of the lyrics, but honestly, that didn’t matter. Great music transcends language, and Coquí has a vibe that pulls you in regardless of whether you speak Spanish. The warmth, energy, and emotion come through loud and clear, and the stunning visuals only amplify that feeling. I found myself smiling the whole way through. The musicality of the song drew me to dance alongside him, and it’s just a wonderful and upbeat sound.

That said, after watching Howie’s Duolingo journey leading up to the release, I may need to start my own lessons to fully appreciate every lyric. If Howie can put in the work and deliver a fantastic Spanish-language song, the least I can do is let the Duolingo owl aggressively remind me to practice so I can keep up!

Most of all, Coquí feels like an artist taking a meaningful creative leap. While fans know and love Howie as a member of the Backstreet Boys, this project allows him to showcase another side of himself. One that is deeply personal, culturally rich, and uniquely his own. We’re incredibly proud to see him branching out with a solo release like this, embracing his heritage, challenging himself creatively, and sharing something so authentic with the world. Coquí is not only a great song and a visually stunning video, it’s a celebration of identity, family, culture, and growth, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes him next.

It’s been kind of quiet lately when it comes to the Backstreet Boys, but now they’re back to promoting a new song for the upcoming PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. “Bottle Up” was released today on all digital platforms including the music video.

The guys hit up New York City to talk about the song, which was co-written by none other than Ed Sheeran. He also does some background vocals and plays the guitar on the track. They also spoke about their Sphere residency in Las Vegas and what’s next for them.

The Backstreet Boys are back with new music, and this time they're bringing their signature charm to the world of PAW Patrol. Their new song, “Bottle Up,” featured in the upcoming PAW Patrol movie arriving this August, is an absolute delight from start to finish.

From the very first listen, “Bottle Up” is incredibly fun and catchy. While the song is, at its core, a love song, it's cleverly wrapped in an upbeat, pop-driven package that makes it accessible and relatable for younger listeners. It never feels overly romantic, which makes it a perfect fit for a family movie. Kids can enjoy it simply as a feel-good anthem, while longtime Backstreet Boys fans will appreciate that it still feels authentic to the group's classic style and sound.

One thing I especially appreciated is that all five members get a chance to shine. Each of the Boys gets a lead vocal moment, something fans always love to hear. While I could certainly use a little more Kevin Richardson, who only gets a couple of lines, it's still nice to hear every member represented throughout the song. That's something that has become increasingly important to fans over the years, and it's great to see it continue here.

And for anyone worried that a song created for a children's movie might lose some of that classic Backstreet Boys magic, don't be. The group's signature harmonies make a welcome appearance toward the end of the song, reminding listeners exactly why they've remained one of the most beloved vocal groups in pop music. Harmonies are what the Backstreet Boys do best, and the fact that they're able to showcase them even within the framework of a kid-friendly animated movie soundtrack is genuinely impressive. It's a small moment, but one that longtime fans will undoubtedly appreciate.

The music video only adds to the charm. It's completely adorable watching the PAW Patrol pups bopping along to the music alongside the guys. The Boys clearly embraced their playful side for this project, and it's so much fun to watch.

Nick steals plenty of moments as the photographer to some attention-loving Dino’s and pups, while Brian fully commits to the fun with his lasso-wielding character who somehow hooks an adorably annoyed Howie. Kevin and AJ bring their usual cool, calm, and collected energy, AJ dodging Sky (my favorite character) as she flies by, but each of them adds just enough silliness to fit perfectly into the lighthearted spirit of the video. It's always enjoyable seeing the group let loose and have fun, and that energy shines throughout the entire production.

As cute as the song and video are, one of the most exciting aspects of this project is the movie itself. The new PAW Patrol film looks absolutely adorable and seems poised to be a huge hit with families. A special touch for me? The last Paw Patrol movie was the first time I took my daughter to the movies and these pups have a special place in my heart with those memories. For parents who are also longtime Backstreet Boys fans, this collaboration feels especially meaningful because it brings together two worlds that don't often overlap.

In my own family, both of my kids are huge Backstreet Boys fans. They've seen the group perform live, my son has even had the opportunity to meet the Boys, and my daughter met Nick. They're genuine fans, so seeing the Backstreet Boys become part of a franchise they already love is such a special experience. This movie gives us another way to share something together, and that's what makes this collaboration feel so unique.

Of course, any new Backstreet Boys music is always welcome. Even these special soundtrack releases are exciting because they give fans something fresh while showcasing the group's versatility and continued relevance across generations.

Now I have one big hope: that the Boys find a way to incorporate “Bottle Up” into their Sphere show. It may be their newest single, but it's also genuinely a great song that deserves a place in the setlist. Imagine seeing the PAW Patrol pups featured on the massive screens behind them for a fun promotional moment. It would fit perfectly with the playful spirit of the song and add another memorable element to what is already an incredible show.

Whether you're a lifelong fan or discovering the group through PAW Patrol, this song is sure to leave a smile on your face. Lately, I’ve been asking myself a question that honestly feels a little uncomfortable to admit out loud. What happens when the thing that used to make you feel the most like yourself… doesn’t hit the same anymore?

That’s kind of where I’ve been lately with the Backstreet Boys.

Before anyone takes that the wrong way, let me say this first. I love them with my whole heart. I always will. They’ve been a huge part of my life for decades. Some of my best memories, closest friendships, biggest opportunities, and happiest moments came from this fandom. It shaped such a huge part of who I am.

But this year is going to be different.

I didn’t get tickets for Vegas and honestly? I wasn’t devastated over it the way I thought I’d be. A few years ago, that probably would have completely wrecked me. This time, I kind of just accepted it and moved on.

I think part of that is because I’m finally trying to focus on myself for once.

Over the last several years, I buried myself in fandom, work, and school. I threw myself into everything full force. I went back to graduate school for Marketing and now I’m deep into my MFA program while also trying to chase another dream of becoming a published romance author. Somewhere in all of that, I realized I had gotten so used to constantly going, constantly planning the next event, the next trip, the next concert, that I stopped asking myself if I actually needed to be doing all of it.

Then Ticketmaster happened this summer and honestly, that whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I know a lot of people felt the same way. It stopped feeling fun and started feeling exhausting.

At the same time, therapy has been helping me work through losing my Mom. I think it’s also helping me slowly find my way out of the writer’s block I’ve been stuck in for a long time. For the first time in awhile, I’m trying to figure out who I am outside of work deadlines, fandom stress, and constantly needing something to look forward to.

And maybe that means my interests are shifting a little right now.

My concert lineup this year looks completely different than it normally would. Nick Jonas. Thomas Rhett with Niall Horan. Ed Sheeran. A Kansas City Chiefs game with Mara, and maybe another one with the girls. Niall again next year. Honestly? I’m excited about the change.

It doesn’t mean I love the Backstreet Boys any less. It just means they aren’t my entire world right now, and I think that’s probably healthy.

Of course it’s going to feel weird not being in Vegas this summer. Last year was such a fun experience, even if the heat nearly took me out every single day. Y’all know I cannot handle extreme heat anymore. It genuinely makes me sick. So maybe missing a summer Vegas residency isn’t the worst thing for me physically either. Now if they announce winter shows? That might be another story. Last December was a dream - one of the best experiences and I’m extremely lucky.

And if Nick Carter announces solo shows, just forget everything I just said because I can never get enough of that.

I’ve also realized something important lately. I can’t depend on the Backstreet Boys, or honestly any outside thing, to make me happy. That’s too much pressure to put on anything. Happiness has to come from building a life that feels full outside of concerts and events too.

And I know some people will understand what I mean when I say this. Sometimes going to events and constantly planning the next thing almost becomes a habit. You feel like you have to keep up with it because it’s what you’ve always done. You don’t even stop to ask yourself if you’re tired.

I think I’m finally asking myself that question.

So if things feel a little quieter here lately, or on Instagram, that’s part of why. Life has just gotten really busy for all of us behind the scenes. Work, school, personal life, trying to balance everything. And honestly, I think we’re all trying to reconnect with ourselves outside of social media a little bit too.

BSBFangirls isn’t going anywhere. I’m not going anywhere. I think I’m just entering a different season of life right now.

And maybe that’s okay. We will still update with news, thoughts, etc. Don’t worry.

Rocker Tommy Lee is re-releasing his 2005 solo album, “Tommyland: The Ride,” as “Tommyland Rides Again” on May 22, 2026.

The album will feature new Dolby Atmo mixes created with Smiley Sean and will feature the original collaborators on the album, including our very own Nick Carter.

The two recorded the song “Say Goodbye” together and have been long time friends.

Many will know Tommy Lee as the drummer for Motley Crue and also Nick’s passenger in the infamous “PUNK’D” episode featuring the two.

For those that do not know this song, it’s amazing. Check it out!

So… AJ McLean just casually mentioned that he’s planning to tour this fall while on his Twitch account live from band rehearsal.

And if you’re anything like us, your brain immediately went into overdrive trying to figure out how this is actually going to work.

He says that the “Better Man” tour dates will be announce don Father’s Day.

Because this isn’t just another quick appearance or a few pop-up shows. If this turns into a full tour, it would be something we really haven’t seen from him before.

AJ has always done solo music. He’s played smaller venues, done intimate shows, and given fans a chance to see a different side of him outside of Backstreet Boys, most recently with Joey Fatone on a bigger sale. Those shows have always felt a little more personal, a little more raw. You get more storytelling, more personality, more of AJ just being AJ.

But a full tour built around that? That’s a different level.

The closest we’ve gotten was when he went out on the road with Joey. That run leaned into nostalgia in the best way. It was fun, a little chaotic, and full of moments that felt like a throwback to a very specific era of fandom. Fans loved it, but it still wasn’t fully his. It was shared. It was collaborative.

This time, it sounds like he wants to step out on his own in a bigger way.

And honestly, it makes sense.

AJ has always had one of the strongest stage presences in the group. He knows how to command a crowd, whether it’s an arena or a smaller room. He knows how to shift between high energy and emotional moments without losing people. If anyone can carry a solo tour and make it feel like an experience, it’s him.

But then you start looking at the calendar, and that’s where things get interesting.

The Backstreet Boys are scheduled to be in Germany through October. That alone takes up a huge portion of what we’d normally consider “fall touring season.” So if AJ is serious about this, the timing has to be tight. Maybe it’s later in the fall. Maybe it’s a shorter run than a traditional tour. Maybe it’s select cities instead of a full cross-country schedule.

There are a lot of possibilities, but not a lot of answers yet.

And then there’s the other piece of the puzzle that fans can’t ignore.

The rumors about more Sphere shows in Las Vegas this winter.

Nothing has been confirmed, but the hints have been there. And if those shows do happen, that adds even more pressure to an already packed schedule. You’re looking at international group commitments, a potential solo tour, and then possibly another major residency-style experience right after that.

It’s a lot to balance.

Still, if there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that they make it work.

For fans, this could be a really special moment.

A solo AJ tour would give us something we don’t always get with group shows. It would be more focused on his voice, his stories, his style. It would feel closer. More intentional. The kind of show where you walk away feeling like you saw something personal, not just a performance.

And that’s what makes this so exciting.

It’s not just about adding more tour dates to the calendar. It’s about getting a different version of an artist we’ve been watching for decades.

Right now, we’re in that familiar place fans know all too well.

Waiting.

For me and Emilia, it opened doors. It gave us the opportunity to become published authors.

And that is something we will never take for granted.

This space has always been about connection.And that part is not changing.

Why the Change

Life looks different now.

We are all busy. Work, family, responsibilities, everything in between. And the truth is, most of us are not checking websites the way we used to.

We live in our inboxes. We scroll. We connect instantly.

And honestly, in 2026, running a fan website the old way feels a little… outdated.

What matters more now is being able to stay connected in a way that fits into real life.

And we have already started doing that.

Especially this past year on Instagram. Talking with you. Laughing with you. Sharing moments as they happen.

That has been one of our favorite parts.

Nick Carter turned 46 on January 28, and on Friday, February 6, he celebrated in true throwback fashion: by skating with fans at Crystal Palace Skating Rink in North Las Vegas.

Nick announced he’d be throwing an ’80s-style roller rink birthday party with a few hundred of his “closest friends,” and honestly, my initial reaction was not great.

When the event was first announced (barely a week before it happened), my immediate thought was: Why would I want to fall flat on my ass on roller skates I haven’t worn in over 20 years…in front of Nick Carter? The mental image of clinging to the rink wall while Nick effortlessly whizzed past me was…not appealing. But as it turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Time with Nick and my girls? Absolutely worth it.

Of course, no Backstreet Boys–adjacent event is complete without a little chaos.

Timelines were loose thanks to good old “Backstreet Time,” and Nick was (predictably) fashionably late to his own birthday party. Because of that, the event team had to adjust on the fly. Tier 1 guests were originally promised a private welcome, a private skate with Nick, a signed personal item, and the same meet-and-greet photo op Tier 2 received.

Instead, all attendees were collectively waiting for Nick to arrive. The organizers did their best to preserve the Tier 1 experience, which ultimately meant Tier 1 guests skated with Nick while everyone else watched. Intimidating? Absolutely.

Skating after a 20-year hiatus is scary enough without hundreds of people watching…and Nick Carter skating alongside you. Still, it was a genuinely fun experience.

Let’s talk about the theme for a moment. I’m usually not the person who goes all-out for themed events. Sure, I’ll stick to Millennium blue and white for Sphere shows, but beyond that, I’m typically the one who looks slightly out of place. Not this time. I fully committed, and it was so fun. My neon shirt glowed under the black lights, my BSB leggings popped with hot pinks, greens, and purples, and my leg warmers tied it all together. The cassette-tape earrings were my favorite touch. Add a half-up, half-down scrunchie hairstyle and I was ready.

Nick, meanwhile, kept it casual in an A’s sweatshirt and jeans, but I can’t judge, since that’s usually me.

Once Nick arrived, he signed personal items and took photos with tier 1 guests before hitting the rink for the private skate session. While skating, he shared that he wanted this birthday celebration to reflect his childhood: roller rink parties, nostalgia, and simple fun.

The playlist leaned heavily into ’80s classics (which he shared was straight from the TV show “The Goldbergs”), with a few ’90s tracks sprinkled in, which perfectly set the mood. And yes, Nick skated. He admitted it had been at least 20 years since he’d worn skates, which made me feel marginally better about my own lack of balance. Unsurprisingly, his athleticism kicked in quickly, while I spent a good amount of time just trying to stay upright.

Thankfully, I didn’t fall in front of him-an absolute win. Nick skated, sang, chatted with fans, and worked the rink for a solid 30 minutes.

By the end, though, my legs were definitely feeling my age. After a brief attempt (and eventual surrender) to learn how to turn properly on skates, Nick exited the rink and spent time taking photos with remaining guests. Then, in true Nick fashion, he climbed onto a table and announced he’d be playing video games with fans. Three lucky fans joined him for a round of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Naturally, he reminded us he’s a huge TMNT fan and that Leonardo is his favorite…a point on which I have to agree. Nick then returned to the “stage” (still the table) to perform three songs.

While Tier 1 guests were meant to be up front, Tier 2 guests were allowed to fill in around the table, pushing some of us farther back than expected. It was disappointing given how the tiers were sold, but it didn’t take away from the performance itself. I was pleasantly surprised that all three songs came from Nick’s most recent solo album, “Love, Life, Tragedy”.

It’s rare to attend a solo BSBer’s event without at least one Backstreet Boys song sneaking in, but this time we got “Nothing Without Your Love,” “Hey Kid,” and the reimagined, ’80s-inspired version of “Help Me.” One of the things I love most about Nick at these events is how casually he interacts with fans. When he got on stage, he actually asked us for the opening lyrics to the first song. Once we proved we knew them, he was off.

“Nothing Without Your Love” was a highlight. It’s arguably the best track on the album, upbeat and fun, and Nick sounded fantastic. “Hey Kid” followed, a song that may sound sad at first but carries an uplifting message underneath. When Nick announced it, the crowd collectively went “awww,” which he acknowledged before singing it anyway. He wrapped up with “Help Me,” perfectly fitting the retro theme. While on stage, Nick also shared a few tidbits. He’s working on another single, also titled “Love, Life, Tragedy”, which he described as the thematic centerpiece of the album. Is it finished? Not yet. Will it be released on Valentine’s Day? Maybe. Or soon. Or not at all. He was…very clear on the plan.

He also played a preview of “Boyband Song,” recorded prior to this album, and asked for fan feedback. The response was loud and clear…we want it. Nick later mentioned on social media that he hopes to release it once he gets more boyband “royalty” involved. So, naturally, it’ll be out “soon”…or not at all.

And what’s a birthday party without cake? The event ended with the crowd singing “Happy Birthday” to Nick in front of three beautiful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cakes and cupcakes. Nick blew out the candles, shared cake with fans, and yes, it was really good. He thanked everyone, wished us well, and headed out. All in all, it was a genuinely fun experience. Seeing Nick enjoying the atmosphere, connecting with fans, and celebrating his music is always a win. And for the record, I didn’t fall once. I’ll absolutely take that.

A Final Note on Fan Events- Fan events should be exactly that: events for fans. Too often, they double as social gatherings for celebrities and their personal circles, which can feel disrespectful to fans who paid significant money and made major accommodations to attend. When an event is advertised as an opportunity to mingle with the artist, but the artist spends most or even much of their time in VIP sections with friends or guests, it leads to frustration and disappointment. I truly appreciated that, although a few people Nick personally knew were present, he devoted his time and attention to the fans throughout this event.

With only a week’s notice, many of us went out of our way to be there and celebrate his birthday. Nick meeting that effort with genuine engagement meant a lot, and made the event all the more memorable.

From the opening track “Can’t Love You Anymore”, it’s immediately clear he is stepping into a far more personal and vulnerable space not just as a singer, but as a songwriter. The production is modern and direct, letting his voice sit right at the center where every crack and ache comes through.

He pushes a powerful, sometimes raspy, almost angry vocal that you can’t help but feel as you hear it. His lyrics hit for anyone who has ever felt that all their effort in a relationship was not enough, even when the love was strong. This is definitely a contender for top song on this EP.

“Thinkin Bout You” is another that quickly became one of my favorites. Once the beat kicks in, it’s pure dance club energy, the kind that makes you want to move even while the lyrics hit with emotional weight. It is catchy and full of motion, giving the EP a pulse that keeps it from sinking too deep into its heavier themes.

AJ manages to balance heartbreak with something you can actually dance to, a combination that feels both nostalgic and new. “The One That Got Away” has a pretty different and distinct sound compared to the others, which feel like they are based in R&B. This one has a bit of a rock edge to it, coupled with some dance beats too. It’s an interesting sound, but it suits AJ well. It’s another song set in sadness of a relationship that did not go the way he wanted.

It’s clear he has spent a lot of time looking inward at himself and his actions over the years. And while that might seem sad, it is also hopeful, because he is most definitely at a turning point in his life. With the rest of the album still to come, I’m excited to hear what else he has in store for us.

“Arizona” stands out as the EP’s most heartfelt moment. Soft, stripped back and beautifully vulnerable, the song captures the real emotional core of the project. AJ sang this one a few times during his tour with Joey Fatone and there was never a dry eye in the house. K

nowing that AJ wrote it during a period of intense personal struggle makes the performance hit even harder. You can hear the exhaustion, the honesty and the hope in every line. Arizona feels like a confession set to music. What makes this release even more special is that fans have waited a very long time for it.

AJ has been teasing this record for years, dropping hints, snippets and promises, so the fact that we finally have it feels like cause for genuine joy. It’s not just an EP. It’s a payoff, a celebration and a moment longtime fans have been hoping for. That sense of emotion runs through the entire EP. These songs come from a place of rebuilding and rediscovery, written during one of the most challenging chapters of his life.

He is not hiding behind pop gloss or group momentum. He is simply telling the truth and letting the music carry it. AJ deserves a lot of praise for this record. It takes real courage to step forward as Alex, to let people hear not just the performer but the person.

The EP is strong, brave and musically exciting, and it shows just how much he has grown as an artist. Fans won’t have to wait long for more. His full length album arrives on January 9, his birthday, and if this EP is any indication, it is going to be something truly special.

Early in the run, fellow Las Vegas residency performer Usher attended, returning the favor from when Brian Littrell saw his show at the Coliseum a few months before. Usher and his partner were all in for I Want it That Way. John Mayer attended alongside Usher, posing with the boys together. 

Fellow 90s royalty, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle of Boy Meets World and Pod Meets World fame, joined the audience and even did a quick podcast with AJ and Kevin. Hear their recap podcast HERE and listen to AJ and Kevin on the show HERE. 

Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad from the Scrubbing In podcast which is a Scrubs recap podcast also interviewed AJ McLean following the completion of FOUR shows where they rocked their bodies! They shared insights they learned from their visit. 

Macaulay Culkin, most notably known for his role as Kevin McCallister in the first two Home Alone movies and his wife, Brenda Song, also an actor, originally of Disney Channel fame, enjoyed the show. Brenda was, very appropriately, fangirling out throughout the show and it was fantastic to see her relate to just about all of us!

Anthony Ramos, who played dual roles of John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton in the original Broadway production of Hamilton, was in attendance the same time as AJ McLean’s family. He shared that his daughter Lyric happens to be a huge fan of Hamilton and although she acted cool and collected upon meeting him, she was fangirling inside over seeing him there. 

Max Martin, who is partially responsible for the Millennium album the boys were celebrating with this show, was also able to catch it in the middle of the run. The boys gave a nod to him, thanking him for all his work with the boys over the years. This may have been a rekindling of their partnership, as the boys were recently seen at his LA music studio. 

Another musical production superstar, Babyface, showed his face at the event. Brian Littrell has noted Babyface to be a big influence of his in the past. Babyface attended with Boyz II Men’s Wanye Morris, who has worked with Nick and AJ before, and comedian Jo Koy. Babyface posted the proof on his page.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were adorable in the suites when they came to see the show. Mila was living her best fangirl life, and Ashton was right there with her! 

Chrissy Teigen, who has famously questioned the I Want it That Way lyrics (along with the rest of the world) had the time of her life at the show. The boys answered back, serenading Chrissy from afar. 

Holly Madison who became famous as a Playboy Bunny and partner of Hugh Hefner, shared a video chronicling her time there. She seems to have had a great girls night out! 

Perez Hilton brought his kids to the show in a full circle moment. Perez was undoubtedly there at the first Millennium show, so bringing his kids to 2.0 was probably a fun night! He posted a review on his site.

A rather random, yet perfectly lovable pairing of Backstreet Boys and Flava Flav was unveiled during last year’s Christmas season. Flava Flav, an avid BSB supporter as it turns out, came out to show his love and appreciation of the boys. And in turn, the crowd showed their love and appreciation for him. 

Other, seemingly distantly related musical artists that attended included Post Malone and Dan and Shay, who saw the show at the same time, posing with the boys together. Diplo posted video of Quavo when they went to the show opening weekend. Geezer Butler, guitarist from Black Sabbath, even made the trip out to see the boys. We love to see legends respecting legends! Looks like they all had a great time at the show!

Luka Doncic and members of the NBA Lakers team celebrated his massive contract extension in Las Vegas with the boys. Doncic had previously shared he was a big fan of BSB, and his organization took the opportunity to congratulate him on his contract by taking him to the sphere. BSB took this chance to show us that NBA players really are a lot taller than we thought.

No less than 3 members of that other boyband from the 90s, N’Sync, came to show their support, and pledge their awareness that Backstreet is indeed the winner of the boyband clash. Lance Bass attended multiple shows in the first two weekends, and Joey Fatone and JC Chasez each attended as well. Joey was seen bowing down to the boys as they flew 100+ feet in the air during I Want It That Way.  Luis Fonsi, an old friend of Howie D’s from his early/pre-Backstreet Boys days joined the audience alongside Joey Fatone.

In addition to N’Sync, other notable boyband stars came to see the show. Jeff Timmons, of 98°, who also lives in Las Vegas, was in attendance and Ashley Parker Angel from O’Town shared some great moments from the show. 

As you can clearly tell, BSB have shown themselves to be a strong presence in the music industry going on 33 years strong. We can’t wait to see who shows up to support our boys this round!

To be honest, I'm scared to post this. But here goes.

Music has always been my happiness.

As a kid, it was New Edition and New Kids on the Block. As a teenager, it was Reba McEntire and Garth Brooks.

Then came the Backstreet Boys — and everything changed.

When I saw them at Grad Nite and Nick Carter asked if he was sexual (and yes, I said yes), I found something that became part of who I am. That night, I didn’t just find a favorite group. I found a lifelong connection.

Through my hardest days, especially during my deepest depression, the Backstreet Boys were my constant. The music, the fan fiction, the tours, the friends I made along the way — it all gave me purpose. There was never a place I felt happier than at one of their concerts.

But this past week, something shifted. I realized that maybe that’s not my happy place anymore.

I saw the Jonas Brothers three times — in Atlanta with Julia, then in Charlotte and Columbia with Julie (and Mara in Columbia) on our “JoBroHo” trip. Somewhere between the laughter, the setlists, and the lights, I felt something I hadn’t felt in years: pure, unfiltered joy.

I’ve been a Jonas Brothers fan since around 2008, but until 2019, I’d never seen them live. I’d never met them, never shared a moment or exchanged words. But this time, something clicked. I straight up fangirled at these shows. Screaming. Arms flailing. At the shows I just went to, Joe Jonas saw my signs, liked them, and mouthed words to me from the stage — and I mouthed a reply back. It was quick, but it made me feel seen.

Not to say that I don’t feel seen at Backstreet Boys shows because that’s not the case at all. I’m spoiled, I know. I’ve been insanely spoiled and I will be the first to admit it.

But that interaction with Joe, that level of excitement, reminded me what it’s like to feel everything again. I haven’t felt like that at a Backstreet Boys event in a very long time. After the Atlanta show, I was so emotionally spent that I slept for 14 hours straight. That’s how much joy and energy it took out of me.

And it made me realize something difficult to admit — I don’t feel that way at Backstreet Boys shows anymore.

And when I say it's difficult for me to admit, I cried about it. I hate feeling this way.

I still love them deeply. I always will. Forever. But after years of seeing similar setlists and recycled formats, it’s lost some of that magic. The DNA Tour stretched from 2019 to 2024. We haven’t had a true new album since 2019 (besides the Christmas album and I'm not a holiday person). The “Millennium 2.0” show at The Sphere is visually stunning, but it’s still a celebration of a 26-year-old album. Plus, a rerelease of a Christmas album that we already had the extra songs if we bought the Target version back in 2022.

Maybe that's why the Jonas Brothers shows got me in my feels.

At the first Sphere show, there was a spark of surprise, but AJ had already basically teased that "Siberia” would be on the setlist. But beyond that, there wasn’t much new besides the graphics, which were amazing. The set list though, even though it was supposed to be based on the "Into the Millennium" tour, had nothing new past 2005, besides "Hey," the new song from "Millennium 2.0." It was a song that was recorded for "DNA," but didn't make it.

The Jonas Brothers get it right. They know fans love nostalgia, but they also give us something new. They play the classics, then mix in songs from their recent albums. They change up the setlist. They take fan requests. Every show feels unique, and that keeps fans guessing. It keeps them engaged.

That’s what I want again from the Backstreet Boys — that feeling of anticipation, of walking into a concert not knowing what’s coming next. That heart-racing thrill when the lights go down and anything could happen. The not knowing if they are going to play a song for the first time again.

Nick Carter did that during his solo tour. Nobody knew what the setlist would be. He kept it quiet until the show started. It felt spontaneous, fresh, and fun — the way it should feel when your favorite artist takes the stage.

I don’t say this to criticize. I say it because I care. I’ve been spoiled with incredible experiences thanks to the Backstreet Boys — moments I could have never imagined as that teenager at Grad Nite. I’ve met friends who’ve become family. I’ve built parts of my life around the music, the fandom, and the memories. Loving the Backstreet Boys is like breathing. Buying tickets and merch is like breathing, it’s just a necessity.

I say all of this, but I'm still going back for their Vegas shows in December. All of them. Because that's what I do. Like I said, it's like breathing, eating, sleeping, etc. It's a part of who I am.

But I want that rush back. I want to feel what I felt at the Jonas Brothers shows — that same adrenaline, the goosebumps, the tears, the laughter, the exhaustion that only comes from pure happiness.

I don’t want the Backstreet Boys to become another nostalgia act that only looks backward (IYKYK). Nostalgia is comforting, but growth is exciting. We need new music. We need something fresh. They are artists after all. It’s in their blood. We need something that reminds fans why we fell in love with them — not just for who they were, but for who they still can be.

Because for me, music has always been my happiness. Concerts are my happy place.

And I’m ready to feel that happiness with the Backstreet Boys again. Maybe I'll have it in December.

Since then, we've heard news of AJ McLean's solo album coming out (an EP on Thanksgiving and the full album on his birthday, January 9th). He went on The Jennifer Hudson Show and talked about it.

We have been waiting on this album since at least 2016 when on the European cruise he said that it was coming on, I believe September 9, 2016. Then he went country. Then that was coming out. Then he told me in February 2019 that the album was coming that April, then he changed directions a few more times.

Will we actually get it this time? I hope.

Nick Carter has three solo shows in Illinois and Wisconsin in October and we attended the Illinois shows which were amazing! Then again, what doesn't he do that's amazing? We had the best time seeing everybody and thank you to everybody that came up to us. It really warmed our hearts hearing how our updates keep you up-to-date on the boys and thank us for everything that we do. We do this because we love it and seeing that it makes so many of you happy, that makes us happy.

Also, there's a deluxe version of "A Very Backstreet Christmas" coming out this coming week, but don't get too excited - it's basically the Target version that came out with "Feliz Navidad" and "It's Christmas Time Again."

Things have been crazy busy with me since I got back from Vegas in July. I graduated with my Masters Degree in Marketing and started graduate school (again) to get my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I finished my first class today actually and start my next one in just over a week. This class will really get me more involved in the reading and writing things that I love, which may take me away from this stuff a little.

But don't worry. God knows I've juggled worse!

Last week, Julia and I went to see the Jonas Brothers here in Atlanta and Julie and I are traveling (road trip style) to see them in Charlotte and Columbia (with Mara since she lives there) this coming week. We are going to stop by and eat at their family restaurant which I've been wanting to do.

After that, we just have December in Vegas coming up and 2026 will be here. Hopefully I will be seeing a lot of you out there. Julie, Amber, and I plan on spending more time in the experience this next time and talking with so many of you!

Between now and the end of the year, I'm going to try to spend some time working on the website some here - possibly some new graphics, or new layout. Give it a little refresh.
