The evidence against him showed that he was part of the same online group linked to both the Madison, WI shooting committed by Samantha Rupnow and the Nashville shooting committed by Solomon Henderson. The online group is part of what is known as “Extortion Com” – a dangerous online network of predators who manipulate and extort underage victims to produce child sexual abuse material, harm themselves or pets on camera, and even commit mass casualty attacks such as school shootings. The most infamous group in Extortion Com is the 764 network.

According to court documents, Kuppusamy groomed his minor victim into producing and sending sexually explicit content. He also bombarded the teen with extreme content associated with “Terrorgram”, an international terrorist group that was recently sanctioned as a specially designated global terrorist network in the US.

Kuppusamy told his teenage victim that he knew one of the leaders of Terrorgram – the recently convicted Dallas Humber. He sent the girl guides on constructing pipe bombs and offered to send her a gun. He instructed her to make a “cutsign” for him, a sign of ownership where a victim carves their abuser’s name into their body with a blade. Cutsigns are a form of abuse most commonly associated with the 764 network.

Kuppusamy’s online associates hosted a “Space” on X.com to discuss the news of his arrest. One associate, an individual called “Nitro”, was directly connected to both Rupnow and Henderson. During the space, Nitro and several others bragged about successfully grooming and extorting teens to commit acts of violence.

Now, after a series of alleged errors by the FBI in applying for and executing search warrants against Kuppusamy, he may walk out of jail a free man.

Prosecutors allege that the investigation into Highlander began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 48 CyberTips. Those tips alleged that Highlander had bragged about maintaining a “large cache” of child abuse material and had sent illicit material directly to users through direct messages.

When interviewed, Highlander claimed he was only “trolling” and “ragebaiting” people – a familiar defense in parts of Com and the “Edgesphere,” where irony-poisoned meme culture often overlaps with overt illegal activity. Highlander’s claims did not hold up. Investigators found multiple instances of CSAM on his devices, including a video of a teenage girl with cuts on her arms and legs.

Highlander’s alleged conduct sits inside a broader ecosystem of online extortion groups where harassment, grooming, and the circulation of abuse material are treated as status markers.

I knew Highlander by another username: “MrToxix.” He was part of Bone Zone, an Extortion Com group whose Discord servers were notorious for grooming minors and producing child sexual abuse material. In October 2024, I had an unfortunate run-in with Highlander after he coordinated with other members of a Bone Zone Discord server to harass me and send me CSAM on X.

After three long years, the day had finally arrived. Kyle Spitze was about to hear his fate in federal court.

I first learned about Kyle in January 2024, when a video he filmed of his mother’s boyfriend shooting him in the ear went viral. What followed pulled me into a years-long waking nightmare involving the 764 network, a group of online child predators fueled by a desire to accelerate the collapse of society.

Kyle Spitze was among the most sadistic and prolific members of the 764 child exploitation and extortion network. In February 2024, he was arrested and charged with eight counts related to the production of child sexual abuse material, solicitation of minors, and animal abuse.

In December 2024, he pleaded guilty to several of the charges. The mandatory minimum sentence was 30 years, but prosecutors were pushing for an extended sentence of 77 years.

Kyle’s crimes were far worse than his published charges could capture. As a prolific member of 764 and its splinter group Harm Nation, he preyed on vulnerable girls he found online, grooming them before threatening and blackmailing them into creating sadistic content for his Telegram channels.

The FBI found folders on his devices containing material involving at least 30 victims, including one identified victim who was only 12 years old. The folders included images and videos of girls carving Kyle’s usernames, “Criminal” and “Crim”, along with “764,” “Harm Nation,” and satanic symbols into their bodies with razor blades and knives.

Some of the photos contained nude minor victims engaged in sexual acts. Others showed victims being threatened, coerced, or humiliated into performing sickening acts such as killing animals and licking toilet seats.

Of the 30 victims found on Kyle’s phone, the FBI was able to identify only 19. At least two of those young victims have died by suicide. The other 11, investigators said, will likely never be found.

People have argued for years over whether 764 is truly satanic or merely borrows the aesthetics of extreme belief systems to gain notoriety. That may be true of some members. But in Kyle Spitze’s case, the record pointed to explicit satanic motivations alongside the same hunger for status that drives so much of the network’s abuse.

I had followed the case from the beginning, through five sentencing delays after Kyle’s guilty plea in December 2024. Each delay forced his victims and their families – many of whom had prepared impact statements to be read in court – to wait again for their day of justice. During that time, I became close with two mothers of Kyle’s victims. They had been living in hell for three years. They did not belong there. Kyle did.

The week before the August 18, 2026 sentencing date, I learned that Kyle’s private attorney, Jonathan Cooper, had filed even more objections. As I traveled from Texas to Tennessee, the possibility of a sixth delay hung heavily over me. I desperately wanted the victims to receive some measure of closure, and I needed some of my own.

On the ground in Knoxville, I met up with my personal security detail: an online friend who had driven across multiple states to escort me for free. Knowing someone else understood the stakes reassured me, and frankly, so did knowing I had backup.

The FBI had called me the week before the hearing. Agents were monitoring potential threats to the courthouse, as Kyle’s 764 associates were known for swatting and bomb hoaxes. I had also been warned about threats to harm me if I appeared in court, including at least one attempt by a 764 member to solicit my assassination there.

The FBI’s advice to me was to keep my head on a swivel and not post about the court hearing online until I was safely on the plane back to Texas. A well-timed bomb threat to the federal courthouse could have forced yet another delay. The safest thing I could do was stay quiet until it was over.

I was nervous walking into the courthouse on the morning of sentencing. To my relief, the security officers were kind and already aware of the day’s main event. Each time we left the courtroom for a break, they asked for updates. They were as eager to hear Kyle’s sentence as I was.

The special proceedings room was mostly empty when I arrived, aside from a handful of people in suits. I had expected more press for a case this high-profile, but 764 cases have always seemed to receive less mainstream attention than their importance warrants. The lack of a crowd made the hearing feel smaller, more intimate, and more intimidating. It was my first time in a federal courtroom, though unlikely to be my last.

I was lost in thought when my escort nudged me with his elbow. I looked up and saw Kyle Spitze in person, filing solemnly toward the defense table. He wore chains and a gray-and-white striped jail uniform. His shaggy hair was shorter than before, and his hairline had receded sharply.

Under the harsh courtroom lights, his skin looked ghostly pale, almost green. His face was blank, his eyes dark and hollow. We locked eyes for a moment before he dropped his gaze to the floor.

Kyle looked like a vampire who hadn’t had anything to eat in 3 years; how I’d imagine a washed-up demon would look.

At the front of the room, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Kolman and Kyle’s defense attorney, Jonathan Cooper, spoke in tense whispers. I assumed they were arguing over the defense’s objections to the updated presentence report.

The updated report highlighted the disputes that would shape the morning: what should count as relevant evidence, how broadly the court should interpret Kyle’s ties to 764, and whether his actions after arrest should add years to his sentence.

Several young women began to file in – likely victims of Kyle’s abuse, along with their families. I felt suddenly small in the room, aware of how little my own experience mattered beside theirs.

An eerie silence settled over the courtroom in the moments before the Honorable Judge Varlan entered. It felt like the calm before the storm.

The Objections

The judge listened to the Defense’s objections to the presentence report first. Cooper began by objecting to what he called irrelevant evidence, especially the government’s claim that Kyle’s crimes reflected 764’s nihilistic violent extremism. He argued there was no proof Kyle acted in furtherance of accelerationism – the belief that sowing chaos can hasten societal collapse.

In Cooper’s telling, the government was not describing Kyle’s conduct so much as demonizing him.

Kolman reminded Cooper that Kyle had already admitted to being a member of 764 and to having terror-related motives.

“The government didn’t demonize the defendant,” she said. “The defendant is a demon.”

The defense raised several more objections, the broadest one concerning the victim impact statements. He argued the process was unfair because the statements were not shared with the defense before sentencing and because some came from of-age victims rather than minors listed as victims in the case.

There were more than 50 pages of statements. The defense argued that many described conduct by other offenders and could not be tied directly to Kyle. The prosecution stood by their response, noting that the law did not bar adult victims from describing harm and that the statements reflected a collaboration between multiple different countries.

Agent Stewart Takes the Stand

FBI Special Agent Stewart, a supervisory counterterrorism agent focused on nihilistic violent extremist groups, testified that Kyle Spitze’s case was unlike any he had worked before. When Kyle was arrested on February 21, 2024, Stewart said, the FBI was still only beginning to understand 764.

The investigation began in December 2023, when a social media company alerted the FBI to several users tied to an online child exploitation ring known as Harm Nation. One username stood out: “Criminal,” a user believed to be in Tennessee. Investigators soon identified him as Kyle Spitze.

In February 2024, agents executed a search warrant for Kyle’s devices while he was housed at a drug rehabilitation facility. His phone, Stewart testified, contained disturbing illegal material organized into folders, some named for victims and filled with images and videos of self-harm, animal torture, and sexual abuse.

Metadata from one image led agents to a 12-year-old girl later identified in court as Minor Victim 1. Investigators moved quickly to locate and interview her, then arrested Kyle only days later.

The FBI drew evidence from Kyle’s phone, his cloud storage, and a Telegram channel he owned called “Criminal Content.” Stewart also described a private Telegram chat, “764 Lobotomy Room,” whose 19 members, he said, made up 764’s inner circle.

One exchange between Kyle and Trippy, then a leader of 764, laid out the group’s initiation expectations. Trippy – whose real name is Prasan Nepal and who was arrested not long after Kyle – said prospective members needed more than cut signs; they had to kill animals or commit other “sinister stunts” for 764.

Prosecutors then showed a graphic slideshow of abused children whose suffering Kyle had turned into content for his own notoriety. Stewart explained the vocabulary of the network: blood signs, cut signs, fan signs, wall signs, and “hype edits,” videos that splice abuse imagery together with music. He described a culture steeped in gore, sexual violence, animal torture, and satanic imagery.

Stewart said a victim’s age affected the perceived value of the material within 764. The younger the child, the more status the offender could gain, pushing members to seek increasingly younger victims in pursuit of notoriety.

Stewart then turned to a folder on Kyle’s phone labeled “CNC,” shorthand for consent/non-consent. Inside were images and videos of a 15-year-old girl identified as Minor Victim 2. Text messages shown in court included Kyle discussing his desire to rape her.

Kyle also retaliated against victims who disobeyed him by doxing them or threatening punishments. In one exchange, he told 12-year-old Minor Victim 1 he would force her to kneel on rice for 30 minutes and repeatedly write a degrading phrase pledging sexual obedience to him.

Other exhibits showed fan signs bearing Criminal’s name alongside swastikas, satanic symbols, and “764.” Children held handwritten signs reading variations of “Crim owns me,” “Crim rapes me,” and “Crim made me do it.” In one video, a crying girl with gaping wounds on her arms wrote “Criminal” in blood on a toilet seat before being made to lick it away.

For the animal-crush charges, prosecutors showed images of decapitated birds marked with the 764 and Harm Nation logos, along with a mutilated chicken whose entrails had been arranged to spell “Crim.”

Kyle had also posted an introduction in his Criminal Content channel, where he called himself a psychopath and bragged about grooming hundreds of children. His stated goal, Stewart said, was to reach 3,000 before getting caught.

Also in the spotlight was a video “hype edit” called “Our Girls”, made by a man named Flar – the leader of Harm Nation. The video edit compiled graphic images of the victims attributable to each member of Harm Nation.

I shuddered when I saw the video in court. I had seen it on X shortly after I discovered the evidence against Kyle Spitze back in 2024. The contents of that video still haunt me to this day.

On cross-examination, Cooper tried to separate Kyle from 764’s accelerationist ideology. Stewart acknowledged that Kyle did not appear to hold specific political views; his conduct, Stewart said, was driven by self-gratification and the pursuit of notoriety within the group.

To me, that argument seemed to miss the point. The “nihilistic” part of nihilistic violent extremism matters precisely because the violence does not need to involve politics to serve the broader goal of accelerationism – indiscriminate chaos.

Cooper also tried to frame the consent/non-consent conversation between Kyle and Minor Victim 2 as mutual role play. The argument landed badly. Whatever label the defense used, Kyle was an adult discussing rape fantasies with a 15-year-old girl.

Much of the defense rested on the claim that Kyle committed his crimes in a drug-induced stupor. Prosecutors countered that the conduct did not stop when Kyle was jailed and sober.

Finally, Cooper questioned Stewart about the Harm Nation hype edit. He argued that Kyle had not made the video himself and that the government could not prove he sent the clips of his victims to its creator, Flar. Kolman’s response was blunt: “WHO CARES?” Judge Varland seemed to agree.

Post-Arrest Activity

Prosecutors said Kyle continued contacting minor victims from Laurel County jail in Kentucky, both directly and through his father, Michael Spitze. They alleged Michael helped coach a victim in the United Kingdom to use a VPN so she could conceal her identity while communicating with Kyle. Kyle also called 15-year-old Minor Victim 2 a total of 51 times while behind bars.

Prosecutors played excerpts from Kyle’s recorded calls with Minor Victim 2. The defense objected, but Judge Varlan promptly overruled it. In the first recording, Kyle praised an inmate serving time for killing a police officer, calling it “the Lord’s work.”

Another call exposed Kyle’s fixation on notoriety. He told Minor Victim 2 that he had spoken with a reporter who planned to write a book about him, described his life as a movie, and declared, “I’m infamous.”

Kyle’s repeated violations eventually led U.S. Marshals to transfer him from Laurel County to Blount County jail in Tennessee. There, prosecutors said, the infractions continued. In a pre-sentencing memorandum issued shortly before the hearing, Kolman revealed that Kyle had started another satanic cult modeled around 764 and Harm Nation while behind bars.

In another recorded call with Minor Victim 2, Kyle described himself as a “full-on Satanist” and worried that the other inmates, who were predominantly Christians, would find out.

He rejected the label “pedophile” and called himself a hebephile, a term used to describe attraction to adolescents rather than prepubescent children. On calls with Minor Victim 2, he also discussed sexual topics, called her “precious,” and told her he loved her and liked the sound of her voice.

The recorded calls between Kyle and his father were, in my opinion, an obvious attempt to influence and intimidate Kyle’s young victims, especially Minor Victim 2. The issue became one of the hearing’s central disputes because prosecutors were asking Judge Varlan to add time for witness tampering.

The defense argued that there was no evidence that victims were being intimidated or influenced, rather, that the calls simply show conversations between a (full grown) man and his (child) girlfriend.

And yet, video evidence showed Kyle and his father holding up written signs during calls to avoid monitoring. They also discussed coded language and other ways to evade detection. In one exchange, Michael reassured Kyle that Minor Victim 2 “didn’t know anything” and would not be a problem for him. This conversation occurred after Michael had given the girl money and offered her support.

Michael Spitze was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for witness tampering as a result of these conversations, a fact that made the nature of those calls even harder to dismiss.

Victim Impact Statements

After the government finished presenting evidence, the court recessed for lunch. The next item on the docket was the victim impact statements. I tried to prepare myself over a quick meal at a café two blocks away.

When I returned to the courtroom, I briefly locked eyes with Kyle. He looked as though he recognized me from somewhere but could not place me. That was probably for the best.

During the first half of the hearing, the mood had been somber, broken only by flashes of disbelief at some of the defense’s arguments. Once prosecutors began reading the victim impact statements, the room changed. Victims and families sat scattered through the gallery, fighting tears as the full scale of Kyle’s harm came into focus.

The first statement came from Minor Victim 1’s mother and was read aloud by Jennifer Kolman. Her daughter was too exhausted and angry to speak, so her mother spoke for her, describing the constant stress, fear, physical scars, and judgment her daughter now lives with.

“I hope someone tortures this man like he tortured my daughter.”

The next speaker was the only minor victim to address the court in person. Now 16, she was just 13 when she first stumbled into the Discord server that eventually led her to Kyle Spitze.

She described the grooming and conditioning that came before the worst of the abuse. Already struggling with self-harm and an eating disorder, she said her abusers exploited her vulnerabilities. “They made me feel normal,” she told the court, “but they made me get worse.”

Her abusers began subjecting her to threats and blackmail, She now has scars all over her body that spell out “Crim” and “Harm Nation”. At her lowest point, she saw suicide as the only way out.

She ended by looking directly at Kyle and delivering a seething blow that seemed to cut through the courtroom: “The world could’ve gone on if your mom’s boyfriend didn’t miss.”

After she finished, a solemn-faced mother took the stand to read statements for herself and her daughter, who could not attend because she had been hospitalized for PTSD symptoms worsened by the approaching hearing. Her daughter, she said, had been victimized by Kyle and by another 764 member known as Yuri, a man from the United Kingdom named Beaujack Mensworth whose trial is scheduled for September.

The abuse drove the girl to attempt suicide multiple times.

In her statement, she described joining a Discord server connected to 764 in 2023. The manipulation, she said, was “indescribable and incomprehensible.” “These scars will be on my body until the day I die.”

Her mother then read her own impact statement, titled “The Monsters Who Hurt My Daughter.” She described the horror of realizing online predators had reached into her home through the internet. “You entered my home via the internet,” she wrote, “but you didn’t win.”

Kolman then read a statement from another teenager who said Kyle befriended her in an online chatroom, where she was exposed to gore, child exploitation material, and other content no child should ever see. “Kyle has ruined my life,” she wrote. “I live in constant fear and paranoia. I can’t sleep… The guilt will never leave me.” She asked the court whether 30 years could really rehabilitate him.

The final victim impact statements came from an underage Australian victim and her mother. The girl had been groomed and exploited by multiple 764 members, several of whom are also moving through the courts. She was encouraged to starve herself and self-harm; one member even sent her a suicide guide and tried to coerce her into killing herself on video.

Her mom and I have grown to know each other quite well over the last three years. Throughout that time, she has transformed into a one-woman-army, hell bent on ending the abuse inflicted by 764. With her permission, I’ve included a few excerpts from her statement, written to be read directly to Kyle Spitze.

After the victim impact statements, Kolman and Cooper delivered their closing arguments. Kolman told the court that Kyle had been seduced by power and notoriety, using the internet to terrorize children without ever touching them in person. “The internet is what made this new type of crime come to light,” she said.

She argued that Kyle and his 764 associates had helped create a new form of terrorism, but that Kyle was caught because he was greedy, reckless, and desperate for attention. The videos of the shooting and of his dead mother, she said, accelerated his arrest. A 77-year sentence was necessary not only to punish Kyle, but to deter others who hoped to emulate him.

Cooper began his closing arguments by urging the court to disregard all victim impact statements except Minor Victim 1’s, arguing that the others were unsworn and tied to conduct beyond the charged victims. He also disputed the claim that Kyle tried to intimidate victims from jail – an issue that mattered enormously because a witness-tampering enhancement could add decades to the mandatory minimum.

Cooper then returned to the defense’s central theme: that Kyle committed his crimes in a drug-induced stupor after years of addiction and an adverse childhood. Those circumstances, he argued, should mitigate the sentence. The defense asked for 30 years.

Judge Varlan listened carefully. It was clear he understood the gravity of the case. When he asked Kyle whether he wanted to address the court, Kyle leaned toward the microphone and, in a flat monotone, said, “I kindly refuse.”

Judge Varlan recessed the hearing until the next day, when he planned to finalize the sentence. The victim impact statements had taken the time he would normally have used to weigh the sentence on the record. I was disappointed I would not be there to watch Kyle hear his fate, but I understood why the day had unfolded that way. The victims’ words deserved the space they were given.

The next day, I received a text from Libby Cunningham at WBIR, Knoxville’s local NBC affiliate: “924 months is the sentence.”

77 years in federal for the demon called Kyle Spitze.

Spitze first drew widespread attention in 2023 after a video showed his stepfather shooting him in the ear. He was later arrested on multiple child exploitation charges and ultimately pleaded guilty. Prosecutors say he victimized at least 30 children while involved with 764.

The DOJ is pushing for the maximum sentence.

According to a sentencing memorandum filed by prosecutors last week, Spitze’s time in Blount County Jail has been marked by repeated misconduct. Prosecutors say he has racked up 12 infractions over two years and argue that rehabilitation is impossible.

The FBI Special Agent in charge of Drake Miller’s case listened closely as I described my interactions with him on social media. The agent even raised the possibility of adding another charge to reflect the threats Miller had sent me. As tempting as it was to pursue justice for myself, I was more focused on securing the arrests of Miller’s friends. The agent sent me his email address and encouraged me to forward every piece of evidence I could gather on each subject.

It was time to get to work.

I knew it would not be simple. Members of 1378 constantly created new accounts and adopted new usernames. They occasionally posed as one another to create confusion and had begun flooding the information space with fictitious doxes of themselves to mislead the people hunting them.

Working with a variety of other hunters, many of whom I had met while crowdsourcing Script’s identity, I began compiling a detailed dossier on 1378 members. I pieced together information from sources like X, Telegram, and Doxbin and sent every breadcrumb to the FBI, including unconfirmed doxes submitted by anti-extortion groups.

The arrests started pouring in.

These groups have taken on many names – Harm Nation, 646, Court, Leak Society, and Slit Town are some notable splinters that have been mentioned in recent arrest records. It generally isn’t smart to give these groups individual recognition. All of them are involved in the same criminal activities within the same core group of abusers, and their sole intention for splitting off is to get attention. It makes more sense to blanket them all under the 764 umbrella, both to avoid confusing the general public when reporting on it and to deny the bad actors their place in the spotlight.

Denying them the recognition they so desperately seek also tends to make them angry, and criminals make mistakes when they’re angry.

Though I tend to stick by the general rule of lumping all splinters under the 764 umbrella, there are times when it becomes impossible to tell a story without addressing the subgroup. This is one such story.

The 764 splinter known as 1378 wasn’t much different from the other copycat groups we’ve encountered over the past few years. The members of 1378 operated as a child exploitation and extortion racket, working together to produce nauseating self-harm and sexual content from children in a perverted contest to see who could be the most evil.

Like most splinters before it, they followed the same M.O. After finding unsupervised children on social media and gaming platforms like Instagram, X, and Roblox, they would first groom and then extort their young victims into cutting names and symbols into their bodies, writing on walls with blood, killing and mutilating animals, and sexually exploiting themselves on camera.

1378 had some of the most graphic content we had ever come across, and that’s saying a lot. Gaping wounds, bloody hands scrawling pledges to Satan on walls, and even a disemboweled cat with its intestines strewn out to spell “1378” were posted openly to X by members of the group.

Members of 1378 also used X to direct violent threats at me in a desperate attempt to get attention. I usually avoid giving them that attention on my platform, but the severity of the threats one member, “Script,” made against me and my family pushed me to try something different.

So, at the risk of breaking X’s terms of service, I offered up a bounty.

The reward I offered in exchange for actionable information was only a “head pat”, but that didn’t stop offers from pouring in; from seasoned hunters offering to search private databases to other members of Com who had interacted with Script in the past. And as luck would have it, Script had already been tentatively identified by one of Com’s “anti-extortion” groups.

Anti-extortion (AE) groups consist of other participants in the sprawling online Com landscape who have organized in response to the rise of networks such as 764. Their stated goal is to drive child extortionists out of those spaces. While their intentions are often genuine, formal investigators and researchers must treat these groups with caution.

First, the information they collect on suspects is frequently inaccurate or incomplete. Material obtained from AE groups – typically Doxbin-style entries or similarly formatted dossiers – therefore requires heightened scrutiny and independent verification.

Second, some AE members have themselves been found operating concurrent extortion schemes. In a number of cases, individuals later revealed to be predators have posed as vigilantes in order to target personal enemies inside the same communities. Their objective is frequently to coerce the suspect into deleting accounts rather than to facilitate an arrest. Forcing an account deletion is often claimed as a success; in practice it simply destroys potential evidence and allows the individual to reappear later under a new identity, complicating subsequent criminal investigations.

Finally, AE participants rarely submit tips through official channels. Information identifying a possible 764 member should be reported to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cybertipline. The formal process can be cumbersome and may risk exposing the tipster’s identity – risks that AE members are generally unwilling to take. As a result, there have been multiple instances in which a 764 participant was identified months or even years before the information reached law-enforcement. In the 764 environment, such delays can translate into dozens or hundreds of additional victims.

When we receive material originating from AE groups, our due diligence begins with a thorough independent background search on the tentatively identified individual. We may, for example, run the name through our own databases, locate family social-media accounts, obtain photographs of the person, and compare those images against screenshots captured during Discord calls or other online interactions.

We also run a parallel reconstruction of the OSINT data using our own resources to see if we can replicate the dox. If we can, we escalate the information to law enforcement via whatever channels are available to us.

The personal dox of Script by an AE guy named Paragon was a rare victory on the first try. Not only were we able to locate family photos of the suspect – 19-year-old Drake Miller from Warren County, Kentucky – but we were also able to replicate the OSINT data via parallel reconstruction. After feeling pretty confident that we had a positive identification, we submitted the information to the authorities.

This is the point where I usually create a file on a suspect, add their name and information to a shared spreadsheet used to monitor our suspects, and wait. A few months went by before Drake Miller’s arrest popped onto our radar in August of 2025.

I was both thrilled and fascinated by the catch. Most of our prior scalps were the result of messages sent to me by victims or by my team’s original OSINT analysis that was sent in to the tip line. This time, the arrest may have been the result of me taking a much more brazen, albeit dangerous, approach to hunting.

Sticking with the spirit of the catch, I quickly made another post on X bragging about the arrest of Miller and warning his friends in 1378 that their time was quickly approaching. I was already being targeted, after all. How could one more post hurt? Maybe I could replicate my success with Miller.

In addition to drawing out Miller’s friends, who immediately retaliated with even more violent threats, my post also caught the attention of the FBI. Being a citizen investigator with no formal relationship to the Bureau and no handler means that anyone from the FBI can contact me at any time and for almost any reason. I had gotten used to receiving calls from field offices all over the United States with questions about 764 subjects.

I also knew from various associates that the FBI was very interested in my online activity. Podcasts I appeared on and even posts I made on X tended to circulate around internal FBI email chains. The knowledge that every post I made online was being read and circulated around the FBI was intimidating.

After I made my post about Drake Miller, the special agent in charge of his case got a hold of me through my X DMs. After doing my due diligence and calling the field office in Kentucky to verify, I got him on the phone. The agent was friendly, but cautious. He wanted to know how I knew so much about Drake Miller’s online activity as “Script”. This information hadn’t been released to the public.

Well, that’s easy, I explained. I made the tip.

The agent told me Drake Miller faced 13 federal child exploitation charges, several carrying mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years. In all, he was charged with two counts of online enticement and 11 counts of production of child pornography. Miller was going away for a very long time.

After expressing my gratitude for the quick work, I shifted the focus of the conversation to the other members of 1378 who were still out there. While the arrest of Miller was encouraging, 1378 activity hadn’t slowed down. Notable members such as Dawn, Varkull, Blade, Bleach, Slitted and Envy had been energized into being even worse. Perhaps it was a silver lining that they had temporarily halted their predation of children to focus on what they saw as the biggest threat to their online existence - me.

Up Next: Part 2 – As the threats towards me increased, so did the flow of information. In a massive team effort, multiple members of 1378 were quickly identified and escalated to authorities, resulting in a cascade of arrests.

Allison Howlett had 22.

The incident began on the morning of June 27^th, when police in Henderson, NV received a 911 call from Allison Howlett’s spouse, Julie Howlett. Allison and Julie are both biological males in the process of chemically transitioning to transgender women. Julie called 911 to report that Allison had stolen their vehicle, which was loaded with firearms, and left for the casino with the intent to commit suicide by cop and carry out a mass shooting.

Officers located the car in the Sunset Station parking garage near Warm Springs Road and Stephanie Street. Surveillance footage showed Howlett getting out of the car and opening the trunk before returning to the driver’s seat shortly before police arrived. Howlett was playing loud music inside the vehicle and ignored commands by police to exit. A standoff ensued. During the negotiations, Allison Howlett asked for water. As he rolled down the window to take the bottle, quick-thinking police grabbed and secured Howlett without any shots fired.

Howlett was sitting on top of a handgun and had access to a fully automatic, silenced MP5-style machine gun within arm’s reach. Investigators uncovered a total of 22 firearms from the vehicle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. A subsequent warrant at the Howlett’s Henderson residence uncovered at least 30 additional firearms.

To gun enthusiasts, 52 guns might not seem that crazy, but the Howletts’ arsenal was anything but ordinary. In addition to multiple handguns and semi-automatic rifles, the couple had an NFA-restricted cache that included full-autos, suppressors, a grenade launcher attachment, and a Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun. News of the weapons cache immediately raised eyebrows in the online gun community. Such an arsenal would be worth upwards of $150,000.

Allison Howlett was booked on multiple felony charges, including making a threat related to an act of terrorism, assault with a deadly weapon, grand larceny, resisting a public officer with a firearm, and various weapons-related offenses, but the story only gets weirder from there.

It turns out, the Howletts were part of an online extremist group that is already well known to my team. In fact, I’ve made two online tips to the FBI about potential mass shooters in this community already. The emerging facts in this case demonstrate the danger associated with far-left, radical transgender extremists. Possibly even more alarmingly, it shows how utterly inept authorities are at mitigating this danger.

Although each of the shootings occurred independently and on opposite ends of the world, they shared a common theme – Young men drawn into fringe, online extremist groups and radicalized into believing that the only path forward for society is chaos, destruction, and death. Accelerationist infiltration of niche online communities is insidious. Most of the genuine members of such groups don’t even realize they are being used as pawns in a game where the ultimate goal is the collapse of Western civilization.

Despite what some researchers still promote, the new accelerationist terror threat is not a phenomenon of the far-right. Accelerationist rhetoric can be found in groups ranging across the left-right political spectrum, from Antifa to Neo-Nazis. More recently, the concept has sprouted non-political roots, permeating groups obsessed with mass murder and misanthropy. The FBI calls this “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” (NVE), even though the formal philosophical concept of nihilism is nowhere to be found in these groups, which often worship mass killers and preach that indiscriminate violence will accelerate the downfall of humanity.

The involuntarily incelibate community, or “incels”, is an online group composed of dejected young men who struggle with romantic relationships. The largest incel web forum, founded in 2017, has since been infiltrated by bad actors who provoke incel-inspired attacks, insisting that societal factors outside of their control, such as feminism, liberalism and capitalism, are the cause of their misery. The only solution is to accelerate collapse through violence.

The NVE label extends into online mass shooter fandoms, such as the so-called “TCC” community. Short for True Crime Community, members of these groups are usually young and congregate on messaging apps like Discord to glorify mass killers, share gore content, and create fan art of shooters like those from Columbine. TCC has been linked to dozens of successful and thwarted attacks worldwide since 2024. In fact, the vast majority of highly publicized mass casualty events in the past 2 years have been committed by young attackers who were inspired by TCC groups.

In recent months, the TCC community has developed a significant overlap with the broader cybercriminal network known as Com. Short for “The Community”, Com is a sprawling, interconnected network of cybercriminal communities where extortion, fraud and hacking are used as a way to harass vulnerable targets and sow discord in society at large.

The 764 network is the most well-known Com group. Members of 764 extort and sexually exploit juveniles online in furtherance of accelerationist goals. They believe that by corrupting and traumatizing our youth, they can accelerate the downfall of the current world order. The 764 network is most well known for coercing and blackmailing kids into producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), but the group has another, even more insidious goal – To groom young members into becoming abusers themselves and to provoke them to commit acts of violence, specifically, mass shootings.

764-related groups have been connected to several recent mass shootings (and attempted mass shootings) in the US, starting with Samantha Rupnow in December of 2024. Rupnow left behind a slew of media online in preparation for her school rampage. In doing so, she became a TCC icon, inspiring more shooters to adopt her aesthetics in copycat attacks.

Now that we’ve set the stage for understanding the role of accelerationism in the new modern extremist landscape, let’s dive deeper into each of the three shootings which occurred on Monday, June 22^nd.

Shooting #1 - An Incel in Montreal

A number of state governments have also filed consumer protection lawsuits against Roblox in recent months. Roblox reached multi-million dollar settlements with Alabama, West Virginia, and Nevada and still have active lawsuits in Texas, Florida, Nebraska, Kentucky and Tennessee. These lawsuits allege Roblox deceived parents by touting their product as safe and kid friendly.

In reality, child predators have long viewed Roblox as a safe haven and a rich victim pool. They swim like sharks throughout the gaming platform, hunting for vulnerable prey. Among them, members of the vast child exploitation and extortion network known as 764. The 764 network has been mentioned in state-filed lawsuits against Roblox, and the connections are corroborated in criminal complaints of the 764 members who have been arrested.

These criminal complaints continue to be unsealed on a regular basis.

In May of 2026, the DOJ unsealed a criminal complaint against 20-year-old Levi Stoner, an alleged member of the 764 network who was recently arrested and charged in Pennsylvania. The DOJ alleges Stoner used Roblox to find young victims before luring them to platforms like Instagram and Discord, where he extorted them for violent and sexual content, including videos of them self-harming and torturing animals.

Stoner instructed one of his minor victims to kill her dog on camera. He told his minor victims that he wanted to sacrifice them for 764, which he described as an accelerationist group meant to “speed up the tide of death” and “reset the world.”

In April of 2026, the FBI announced the arrest of 24-year-old Ryan Catello of Ravena, NY on child exploitation charges. Catello victimized at least 2 minor girls, grooming them and offering them Robux (Roblox’s in-game currency) to perform sexual acts on camera before escalating to threats and extortion to force the girls to produce more illegal material.

In February of 2026, 24-year-old Landen Westfall of Athens, Alabama was arrested and charged with a whopping 261 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, and 2 counts of assisted suicide. The FBI alleges Westfall used Roblox to groom a girl and draw her to other platforms where he sexually exploited her, coerced her to self-harm and take her life on video under threats of harm. While 764 isn’t called out in the press release, it fits the MO neatly enough to make involvement in Com/764 highly likely.

Also in February of 2026, two young sisters in Florida, ages 12 and 14, were kidnapped by a user they met on Roblox and then continued to communicate with on Snapchat. The girls were located and rescued and their kidnapper, a 19-year-old from Omaha Nebraska named Hser Mu Lah Say, was arrested and charged with kidnapping.

In December of 2025, the DOJ announced the arrest of 19-year-old Cayden Newberry of Johnson City, TN on 3 counts of federal child exploitation. Newberry used Roblox to groom his victims and in one case, persuaded a young girl to give him her address, then used DoorDash to send her a phone that she could hide from her parents.

He then instructed the girl to download Discord and began extorting the girl, demanding she carve the username “Caden” into her body and send sexually explicit photos to him and his other 764 friends, threatening to come to her home and harm her if she didn’t comply.

In November of 2025, 20-year-old Erik Madison from Baltimore, MD was arrested on several counts of child exploitation. The DOJ alleges Madison used Roblox to find minor victims and then offered them Robux to cut themselves and create illegal content for him before escalating to threats and extortion.

One of Madison’s victims alleged he demanded she kill her dog on video and threatened to harm a different dog when she refused. Another victim was ordered to perform violent and sexual acts via Discord live chat with Madison and other members, who threatened to harm her family members and swat her house if she refused.

The Roblox class action lawsuit out of California specifically calls out a 764 member known as “Repent”, who used a “Dollhouse Roleplay” game to groom and sexually exploit a 14-year-old victim. The predator used Roblox to target the girl, who he invited to a Discord server and coerced to send sexually explicit images of herself. He then extorted her into repeatedly cutting herself on camera, writing “Repent” on her walls in blood, and more horrifying things. He threatened to rape her or make her kill her pets if she refused to comply.

The lawsuit also names other predators who are very likely part of 764 or an associated online predator group, and notes that several people were arrested thanks to the girl and her mother going to the FBI.

One high profile case in Canada resulted in the death of 16-year-old Penelope Sokolowski, who was groomed and exploited by a 764 member known as “Culprit” who has yet to be apprehended. Penelope’s father, Jason, alleges that she was groomed by the predator on Roblox and ultimately driven to suicide. Penelope started using Roblox when she was only 7 years old.

Roblox’s PR department has been in overdrive attempting to convince both state governments and concerned parents that it is dedicated to improving child safety, but their actions speak louder than words. In August of 2025, Roblox banned a well-known content creator named Schlep, who was known for using Roblox to catch predators and get them arrested. Accompanying the ban was a cease-and-desist letter admonishing “vigilantism” on its platform.

In the subsequent months, Roblox took even more steps to thwart the progress of advocates and investigators who have taken it upon themselves to prevent child harm and raise awareness about the danger. Most recently, Roblox announced it will be doing away with Global User IDs, moving towards a system that assigns each user a User ID unique to each game they join.

Roblox advocate Ruben Sim spoke out strongly in the wake of the announcement. Sim has worked tirelessly for the past two years building a system called “EASI”, a moderation tool that allows Roblox game developers to keep predators and other problematic users out of their games. The system relies on the Roblox Global User IDs to ensure cross-game moderation and ban lists are possible. So, for example, a researcher like myself could locate a 764 member on Roblox, send in the User ID, and get the user added to a ban list to ensure they cannot enter games where children are playing.

By removing Global User IDs, Roblox has broken this moderation system and prompted a storm of backlash by safety-conscious users, who claim the change has no discernible benefit or purpose other than preventing “vigilantes” from taking matters into their own hands.

Back on the lawsuit front, Roblox is back in the hotseat for aggressively using binding arbitration clauses in its Terms of Use to force the 150+ child-safety and sexual exploitation lawsuits out of open court and into closed-door proceedings. The victims and their families are fighting this push, and several federal judges have attempted to block the move.

One thing is abundantly clear – Roblox is fighting hard against those who seek justice.

“You’re going to want to hear this,” Ken began excitedly. He had just gotten off the phone with Kyle’s biological father, Michael Spitze. Michael was reportedly estranged from Kyle and Melanie and living somewhere in the north, but that didn’t stop him from inserting himself right into the middle of his family’s unraveling.

Michael told Ken that Kyle was in a psychiatric hospital under 24 hour surveillance. “This is an awkward question to ask, but is he involved in Melanie’s death?” Ken asked.

“Oh my god no,” Michael seemed offended at the question. “Melanie died from an overdose. A heroin overdose… or probably fentanyl. We aren’t 100% sure yet.”

Ken pressed Michael about the video Kyle took at the scene of Melanie’s death, but Michael dismissed the discussion outright, reasoning that Kyle was out of his mind on drugs in the video.

“Why was there so much blood on the mattress if it was an overdose?” Ken pressed. Michael’s response was so out of pocket that I had to wonder if he had even watched the video in question. He explained that the video of Melanie’s dead body was spliced together with footage of the aftermath of Jeffrey Scott West’s suicide. An assertion which, to anyone who actually saw the video, was an obvious lie.

“Kyle has some issues,” he continued, “and he posts things he stupidly should not when he’s in drug-induced stupors. So no, Kyle has no involvement in his mother’s murder, if he did he’d be in jail right now.” I paused the recording and stared at my computer screen for a moment before hitting the back arrow and pressing play.

“Kyle has no involvement in his mother’s murder.”

“I’m gettin’ ready to blow his goddamn brains out.”

Kyle Spitze’s POV video was a bouncy 16:9 mess. The scene unfolding on his iPhone fell into the category of things AI could never recreate. The camera panned chaotically to Kyle’s bare feet, then up at his mom’s boyfriend, 68-year-old Jeffrey Scott West, a haggard and slovenly man with a cigarette hanging from the side of his mouth, as he raised a black pistol and pointed it directly at the lens. Kyle’s mom, Melanie, stood behind him with her shorts down at her ankles.

“Blow my brains out,” Kyle repeated in a low-pitched slur. West disappeared from the doorway before re-emerging; sights set on Kyle. Melanie began to pull her pants up as a dog barked frantically in the background.

“Shoot me – I guarantee you’ll go to jail for life.” Kyle stumbled out of the bedroom and into the narrow hallway as West doubled down on his intent to kill Kyle and his mother. He had his gun trained directly at Kyle’s phone camera, still filming.

“Point that gun at me again--”

West fired. If you freeze the video on just the right frame, you can see the bullet exiting the barrel in a blast of fire. The video went silent as if artistically portraying the temporary deafness of the moment. The camera spun around and panned down at Kyle’s bare feet. Blood drops fell silently onto the ground next to them.

“Did he hit you?” Melanie yelled. “Oh my GOD! You’re going to jail.”

The camera movements became even more erratic as Kyle began to realize the danger he was in and ran through the door, closing it behind him. He briefly turned the camera towards himself. It was here that we got our first glimpse of the monster known as Kyle Spitze.

His eyes were bloodshot and narrowed into a semi-conscious, drug-addled stare; his hairline receding at only 24 years old and the hair on the sides puffed out in clown-like disarray. Blood dribbled from the side of his head and down his neck, staining his white tee. The video ended there, but the chaos did not.

Police in Friendsville, Tennessee responded to the small house on Quarry Hollow Road after getting reports of a disturbance. At the scene, they found Kyle bleeding from a graze wound to the ear. West was still inside the house. After assessing the situation, police decided to dispatch the SWAT team to force West into surrendering. Kyle would later claim that almost every window in the house had been shot out by tear gas canisters. But West didn’t surrender. He took the cowards way out, instead.

That grisly night unfolded in August of 2023, but the video wouldn’t be seen by the general public for several months when, in January of 2024, it inexplicably went viral. It was a simple, 54 second clip, offered by many large social media accounts with no context. One caption read, “Lesson learned - Don’t provoke a guy with a gun.” Salty Cracker, a large YouTube channel, featured a breakdown of the video which was aptly titled, Family that looks like a bunch of meth addicts shoot each other.

The sudden virality of Kyle’s strange, out of context video made sense. It was short – perfectly suited for the limited attention span of modern-day social media users. There was a LOT going on: Kyle’s provocation of a deranged gunman, the mother with her pants at her ankles, the all too perfect freeze-frame of the bullet leaving the barrel, the blood drops on the floor. Some of the more discerning viewers were left wondering what Kyle had done to provoke the shooting in the first place.

When I first saw the video, I went to the comments section, saw that the videographer hadn’t been killed, and chuckled to myself about the absurdity of the scene. Then I scrolled on to the next post in my feed and mostly forgot about it. But a little while later, I saw the same post shared again and went back to the comments. This time, I saw something that made me do a double take.

“Kyle isn’t a victim! He’s a Satanic child groomer who gets little girls to cut themselves on camera!”

A link to a Satanic pedophile cult was certainly not the outcome I was expecting.

“They were 764 accelerationists!”

“No, they were Russian foot soldiers set in action by Putin to accelerate the collapse of the West!”

“They were federal informants! Don’t you know that the O9A was founded by the FBI?”

The latest mass shooting occurred on May 18, 2026 at a mosque in San Diego, California. The two young perpetrators, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, shot and killed a security guard and two staff members outside the Islamic Center of San Diego before turning the guns on themselves. They livestreamed the attack.

The video quickly made its way to the public, along with a manifesto co-authored by the boys. Neither the video nor the manifesto showed any glimmer of originality. Their outfits, the writing on their guns, and the long diatribes in the manifesto were all carbon copies of those who came before them. The “Saints”, as Terrorgram so fondly called them.

First there was Brenton Tarrant in Christchurch, New Zealand, then Patrick Crusius in El Paso, Payton Gendron in Buffalo, and so on. Though the basic formula for these attacks remains the same, the specific aesthetics and motifs used by such notoriety-seeking shooters have evolved over time to include modern references - incel words like “Foid”, “Chad”, and “Mog”, cutesy, cartoonish drawings of the O9A character Drill Sergeant Gray, chronically online femboy lingo like “moots”, “oomf” and “groomie”. And that’s not to mention the biggest elephant in the room: The fact that the majority of modern “Nazi” mass shooters are some shade of brown.

I can’t help but wonder if Brenton Tarrant would be embarrassed to see what his movement has turned into.

I sit back in my seat, sigh, and wonder, how did we get here?

Perhaps I should be grateful for the misguided online discourse around accelerationism. After all, when I embarked on my journey to understand accelerationism back in 2022, only a handful of people in the world knew what it was, and no one had it completely figured out. Even less people knew of the secretive satanic cult called Order of Nine Angles (O9A) and its influence over the modern accelerationist landscape.

Then, in 2023, I stumbled upon an even more obscure and lesser known child exploitation cult called 764. And once again, I tried and tried to bring the group to the attention of both the public and federal authorities. I pleaded with them to investigate the group’s connection to recent mass shootings. I must have sounded insane.

Fast forward 3 years and suddenly everyone is an expert on accelerationism, O9A, 764, and the newly minted term “Nihilistic Violent Extremist”. It’s a surreal feeling. For years I fought to thrust these issues into the public spotlight, and now here they are, being widely acknowledged, albeit explained slightly wrong.

I try not to get annoyed. At least people are starting to get it. No more uphill battles when submitting tips to authorities, no more droves of people calling me crazy online. My articles about recent mass shootings have started to feel more like epilogues than exclusive, breaking stories.

I stand up from my chair, walk outside into the warm, Texas air and take a deep breath. Maybe we are going to make it, after all.

Part 2 - The Breakdown

I often walk a delicate balance when covering these types of stories. On the one hand, I don’t want to give these degenerate losers the recognition they wanted so desperately that they killed and died for it. But on the other hand, it’s important that the public has a solid understanding of the evolving accelerationist terrorism landscape.

I like to keep my logic simple. Certain elements of these cases, like names and photos, are important for identifying the threat (other details, like a boy named VAZQUEZ being implicated in a neo-Nazi terror attack, also provide insight). Analyzing the manifesto is important for understanding the motivation. Other elements, like sharing gory live-streamed footage or cringe TikTok video edits, are not.

More often than not, multimedia content created by mass shooters and other violent extremists are intended to go viral and be used in catchy music edits. They hope such content will inspire and radicalize others into committing similar attacks. The fact of the matter is that the bad actors who ultimately make and disseminate such content will do so regardless, and no amount of careful journalism will stop them. I avoid sharing it anyways, though.

With that said, let’s break down exactly what we’ve learned about the shooters, their online groups and likely motivations in the 48 hours since the San Diego shooting occurred.

Sensational conspiracy theories, such as those which speculate on the involvement of the FBI or CIA, are more palatable than the truth. The reality is far more unsettling: There is no secretive organization funding and orchestrating these groups, in fact, the government agencies that we task with keeping our communities safe are often oblivious to the most serious risks to our country until it's too late.

The uncomfortable truth is that these agencies aren't in control of the problem at all, and the safety of the public hangs in the balance. 

Light purifies these evil online spaces. When you shine a light on groups like 764 you quickly find that these demonic predators are little more than disenfranchised youth, often completely incapable of real-world harm.

But it's the exception that most often makes mainstream news headlines. The one troubled teen in a Discord server full of troubled teens that decided to take it to the next level and make society pay. 

There are no shadowy “handlers” controlling their every move. Most modern mass shooters have been self-radicalized within their violent and sadistic echo chambers; egged on by their peers who swear to disseminate their manifestos and sing their praises after their death. They made the decision, made the plans, gathered the equipment, and then committed the crime on their own volition. 

Unfortunately for seekers of the truth, provocative speculation and sensational headlines are far more appealing than the bleak reality. It didn't surprise me to run across a recent headline that read, “School killer was likely egged on by online extremist 'handlers,' investigators say” with a picture of Nashville school shooter Solomon Henderson underneath. 

The word “handler” invokes mental images of corrupt federal agents or sophisticated foreign provocateurs. In the case of Henderson, this couldn't be farther from the truth.

Most of my followers will read this article and sniff out the BS immediately, but let’s break it down for those less familiar with my work. Ken Klippenstein co-authored the article with Dan Boguslaw, who recently faced a backlash on X.com for claiming that the FBI parted ways with the ADL due to the group “running its own private surveillance network, using subscription tools to watch Americans online.”

The evidence Dan provided was a threat bulletin containing a legitimate tip that resulted in the arrest of a 14-year-old Florida teen who was part of the 764/O9A accelerationist network and who was planning a mass shooting. Jose Pagan was one of the bad actors in the Com/764 network who had made threats against me and my child. When arrested, he was found to be both soliciting and distributing child pornography as well as active in Telegram chats full of dangerous terrorists.

Dan’s claim that the ADL was running a private surveillance network was also false. The threat bulletin relied on a simple, open-source Telegram bot to compile usernames and other public data from Pagan’s Telegram profile. Naturally, his bizarre and fictitious claim raised eyebrows in the private intelligence sector. Unfortunately, most of Dan’s followers ate the post up without question and used it as an excuse to dunk on the ADL.

Ken Klippenstein quote tweeted Dan, saying, “Reminder that the FBI’s new counterterrorism priority is so-called ‘Nihilistic Violent Extremism,’” and pasting a link to a different Substack article he published last year.

For the past several months, Ken has taken the stance that NVE’s aren’t a real threat, going so far as to downplay the seriousness of the 764 network and claim that very well-documented Satanic neo-nazi groups like O9A and Tempel ov Blood are merely FBI-constructed fantasies.

I have commented and retweeted Ken a number of times in an effort to get him to respond to me, but alas, he simply pretends I don’t exist. Why should he risk speaking to a subject matter expert who could easily make him look like a fool and a liar?

Dan and Ken’s article about so-called pre-teen terrorists is written in typical Ken Klippenstein fashion, replete with heavy servings of snark and gratuitous usage of quotation marks around terms like “764” in an effort to subtly delegitimize their meaning. The article also heavily politicizes the topic of NVE extremism and uses it to attack the Trump administration.

This is laughably problematic – The term “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” was created by objectively left-leaning academics within the Accelerationism Research Consortium. Furthermore, the serious FBI response against the 764 network began in earnest under the Biden administration (I would know – I was there.) But, unlike the Biden administration, the Trump administration prioritized the 764 network – which was becoming a more and more serious issue as the months passed – and created PSAs aimed at parents and other community members who desperately needed the information. This is a good thing.

Ken’s article also erroneously claims that the FBI has been focusing their investigations on the Roblox gaming platform to “obscure” the fact that most of the members of NVE groups are children. There are two glaring problems with this statement. First, while it is true that the group members are trending younger (and indeed, as young as 13), the majority of publicized arrests have been in the 18+ age category. Second, and even more importantly, Ken has the order of things backwards – the FBI isn’t monitoring Roblox to target children, they are monitoring Roblox because violent criminal networks are targeting children there.

This seems like something that would be common sense to an esteemed journalist like Ken, but alas.

Ken also used a snippet of an internal intelligence bulletin out of Connecticut to criticize their inclusion of the words “aura farming” and “clout chasing”. But if you actually read the threat bulletin, you’ll see it’s actually very good. Seeing these types of intelligence bulletins circulated is a huge relief for people like us; it shows us that law enforcement is finally starting to get it!

The rest of the article consists of Ken and Dan arguing that we cannot know for certain how many of the 350 investigations on the FBI’s plate involve juveniles (though they strategically use the term “children” throughout). This is a true statement. Due to laws protecting the identities of minors, we may never know the extent to which arrests are being made in the juvenile population. That said, there is a plethora of examples of adults being arrested over the course of the past couple of years as the investigations have picked up in earnest.

The article does make one valid point – the ages of online-radicalized individuals arrested on terrorism charges is trending lower – but the conclusion drawn is the opposite of what most rational people would conclude. While Ken and Dan frame this issue as the FBI unfairly targeting teens, the reality is that teens are being radicalized online in huge numbers, and that should alarm us. We should be insisting and demanding that the FBI focus on the NVE threat – it’s a terror attack on our children!

While we do see the occasional pre-teen offender in our research, we see older teens far more often. More importantly, the adults in the room are also very real. Sometimes they are Satanists, sometimes neo-Nazis, sometimes foreigners. But the goal is the same – to corrupt and traumatize our youth and provoke them to commit acts of terrorism in order to accelerate the collapse of Western society.

Ken and Dan end their article with possibly the most face-palm inducing statement I’ve ever read: “Pre-teen terrorism is what Europe and the commonwealth have embraced; and it’s what the Trump administration has signed onto with its war on Nihilistic Violent Extremism. What’s next, toddler terrorism?”

To really bring the insanity of Ken and Dan’s article home, I’ve compiled an (incomplete) list of adults who have been recently arrested and charged with crimes related to 764 and related NVE groups, all accused of unspeakable crimes against children and/or plotting terror attacks.

Richard Densmore, “Rabid”, age 47

One of the oldest on the list, Densmore is one of the most vile predators I’ve ever had the displeasure of researching. He organized and ran a Discord server in which children were coerced/extorted to self-harm and perform sex acts on video. He was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in running an online group called “Sewer” which directed members to infiltrate gaming platforms such as Roblox and recruit children to cut themselves and engage in graphic sexual acts on camera.

Alexis Adair Chavez, “Zack”, age 19

One of the youngest on the list, Chavez’s depraved crimes against children are almost too horrific to write about. Chavez blackmailed children into attempting suicide on live streams. He made a girl set her arm on fire until it burned through the skin, made children cut his name into their bodies, drink urine and torture themselves sexually, including an instance where he forced a girl to insert a dead rat into her vagina and then eat it.

Chavez pleaded guilty to RICO charges in December of 2025 and is awaiting sentencing.

Angel Almeida, “Gorebutcher”, age 22

Almeida was one of the first high profile members to be arrested in November 2021. The details of his arrest revealed the link between the Satanic neo-nazi terrorist group Order of Nine Angles for the first time.

Almeida was caught after the FBI received an anonymous tip directing them towards his social media profiles, which contained images of violence against children and animals. The investigation uncovered a hoard of guns and hundreds of thousands of digital files of child abuse, including self-produced CSAM.

Also found in his apartment was a blood oath to Satanic Front and to the O9A dark gods, indicating his genuine ideological commitment to the cult. Almeida has been disruptive and combative at court appearances and was subsequently found mentally incompetent to stand trial and also declared “non-restorable” by the Court.

Basically, they found him criminally insane and will be looking to permanently commit him to the Bureau of Prisons mental facility. Life in the looney bin for Almeida - the first and only 764 network arrestee to be declared mentally insane so far.

Michail Chkhikvishvili, “Butcher”, age 20

Chkhikvishvili was the leader of MKY, a Satanic, neo-Nazi terrorist group with ties to Order of Nine Angles and to the 764 network. Chkhikvishvi, a Georgian National known as “Butcher”, was arrested and charged with soliciting hate crimes and acts of mass violence in New York City – He was plotting a mass casualty attack in NYC which involved dressing as Santa Clause and handing out poison-laced candy to children who were racial minorities.

Chkhikvishvili distributed a terrorism instruction manual called “The Haters Handbook” on Telegram and other apps. He targeted members of 764 in hopes he could incite them to commit acts of terrorism.

MKY is an accelerationist NVE group that adheres to a variety of neo-Nazi and Satanic ideologies. They encourage mass shootings, school shootings, and terrorist attack against the US, all in the name of nihilism and misanthropy. MKY is the literal definition of an NVE group.

Marek Cherkaoui, age 21

This is a wild one, because in addition to blackmailing kids into performing sadistic acts on camera, a search of Cherkaoui’s home revealed a potential ISIS-inspired terrorism plot.

“During the search of Cherkaoui’s home today, FBI agents found writings in which Cherkaoui discussed and planned murder and terroristic acts, including a multi-step plan that involving joining ISIS and returning to the United States to commit acts of terrorism.”

Cherkaoui had also been researching explosives and collecting body armor, tactical gear and other supplies to fulfill his plan.

Kyle Spitze, “Criminal”, age 24

Spitze accidentally went viral in January 2024 for a video of his stepdad shooting him in the ear. In the wake of the video, multiple victims began to come forward alleging his role in 764, leading to his arrest.

Spitze is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to child pornography charges, as well as charges related to animal abuse. Spitze had dozens of victims all over the world. The youngest victim listed in his charging documents was 12 years old.

Michael Spitze, age 59

Kyle Spitze’s father was arrested and charged with helping his son Kyle Spitze intimidate his minor victims.

I sent a cybertip to the FBI in February of 2024, concerned that Michael Spitze was attempting to manipulate and groom his son’s young victims. Michael Spitze was finally arrested on charges of attempting to tamper with a victim of his son’s crimes.

Cameron Finnegan, “Acid”, age 19

Finnigan, who used the moniker Acid, repeatedly threatened to kill and rape me and my child if I didn’t stop reporting on 764, resulting in me filing an FBI complaint. He was soon after arrested and charged with possessing CSAM, possessing manuals on how to commit terror attacks, and for planning a murder.

In addition to being part of 764, he was also a member of the No Lives Matter (NLM) movement, which is an offshoot of a group of Satanic Ukrainian terrorists called MKU. In January 2025, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison. The judge highlighted the Satanic influence of Order of Nine Angles within 764 and warned of the significant threat posed by such networks. The judge also read aloud the names of files found on his devices, one of which related to me specifically.

Kaleb Merritt, “O9A_evil”, age 24, Collin Walker, “Wrath”, age 23, and Clint Borge, “Whoops”, age 41

Merrit was part of an early 764 network group called CVLT. He was known for using screen names that indicated his adherence to O9A beliefs.

Merritt used Discord to groom a 12-year-old girl from Virginia, convincing her to cut and sexually abuse herself on camera. He then traveled to Virginia, set up camp in the victim’s backyard and raped her repeately prior to kidnapping her. Merritt was arrested and the girl was rescued as they fled. He was sentenced to 350 years in jail.

In January of this year, the DOJ announced new charges against Merritt and his CVLT co-conspirators - Colin Walker, 23, of NJ, Clint Borge, 41, of Hawaii, and Rohan Sandeep Rane, 28, of France. The 4 men were charged together for engaging in a child exploitation enterprise. Merritt has since pleaded guilty and entered into a plea agreement that leaves a life sentence on the table.

Rohan Rane, “Rohan”, age 24

Rohan Rane was an Indian immigrant living in Antibes, France when he created the sadistic 764-predecessor group known as CVLT. He claimed he created the group as a “place where he came to proclaim his hatred of Jews and Muslims,” but the group quickly escalated to sextortion and child abuse.

In 2020, FBI interest in CVLT grew wen a 15-year-old American girl attempted suicide by slashing her own throat after being groomed and then extorted by Rane. CVLT became home to some of the 764-network’s most prolific predators, including Kaleb Merritt, Clint Borge, and Collin Walker.

Rane is currently being held in France awaiting sentencing. He is being charged with “acts of torture and barbarity,” “corruption of minors in an organized gang” and “extortion in an organized gang.”

Prasan Nepal, “Trippy”, and Leonidas Varagiannis, “War”, ages 20 and 21

Prasan Nepal, 20, NC Nepal went by the username Trippy and was indicted alongside a 21-year-old Greek man named Leonidas Varagiannis, aka War, as the leaders of the 764 network. The two men were charged with operating a global child exploitation enterprise.

I knew War and Trippy well. Trippy, in particular, was arguably the most prolific member of the entire 764 network, responsible for organizing new group chats and channels, recruiting new members, and coordinating the horrific abuse of children.

The DOJ alleges that Trippy and War led a 764 subgroup called 764 Inferno, operating mainly on Telegram and Discord, where they coerced children into self-harm, sexual acts, and even violence against others. Some victims were as young as 13 years old. The complaint outlines specific and graphic examples of young girls carving their abusers’ names into their nude bodies, performing sex acts on camera, and worse. In one example, a nude underage girl poured bleach on her arm and set it on fire at the instruction of a 764 member on a live stream.

Zachary Dosch, “Moist Nigerian”, age 26

Moist Nigerian aka Zachary Dosch is one of the founding members of CVLT and is alleged to be one of the people who inspired Bradley Cadenhead to start 764. Once arrested, he rolled over on several of his fellow Greggy’s Cult members, leading to the arrests of four more men: Hector Bermudez aka “Fiasco”, 29, Rumaldo Valdez aka “Duck”, 22, David Brilhante aka “CS:GO”, 28, and Camden Rodriguez aka “oHare”, 22.

Some of the videos of his extortion victims have made their way around the web. One particularly disturbing video features a young girl crying while cutting off her long ponytail and eating it at the instruction of Dosch.

Justin B., “CXRPSE”, age 25

Justin B. was arrested in The Netherlands last year and stands accused of having a leadership role in 764, where he extorted minors into committing sadistic acts, including suicide, on camera. He claimed to have founded the 764 splinter group No Lives Matter (NLM), which requires members to commit crimes and terrorism on camera in the name of Satanism and misanthropy.

NLM has been linked to vandalism, assaults and knife attacks all over the world. Netherland investigators said the images they found on his devices were so gruesome that they “couldn’t bear to look at them”.

After his arrest in The Netherlands, Justin B. claimed he quit the group several months prior and converted to Christianity and had “just gotten his life together” when police raided his home in the Netherlands (womp womp.)

Baron Martin, “Convict”, age 20

Martin was the first 764 member to face terrorism charges by federal prosecutors.

Martin went by the name “Convict” within the group. In addition to his involvement in 764, Convict was also a member of groups like CVLT and Team Rocket, which pre-dated 764.

Among other things, Martin is charged with forcing a 13-year-old girl to carve his name into her body, along with swastikas and Satanic symbols, under the threat of leaking illicit photos of her. He also solicited a person to murder the grandmother of another 13-year-old victim.

Martin bragged that he was the “king of extortion,” and claimed he was “the catalyst for thousands of extortions” in 764. He also created a detailed guide on how to identify, groom, and extort vulnerable children to train other members.

Ryan Stenwick, “Ryan”, age 24

Stenwick was rolled up on a metric ton of charges, including swatting, sextortion of minors, getting minors to harm themselves on video, and soliciting another individual to shoot up and “firebomb” his minor victim’s homes with Molotov cocktails.

The individual who he paid to do these things, Patrick McGovern-Allen, actually followed through with these acts. Luckily, no one in the home was harmed. McGovern-Allen has already been convicted and sentenced for his crimes.

Prosecutors took all of the power away from Stenwick in their statements to the court: “Despite being expelled from high school, having no car or driver’s license and living with his parents while working at a local Big Y supermarket — Stenwick managed to wage campaigns of terror from behind his computer without ever leaving the house... He adopted a persona where he sits behind a computer screen and becomes a different person. Without access to an electronic device, this man is harmless.”

The criminal affidavit reveals Stenwick’s search history, which included, “is pedo a sin”, “what is grooming a minor”, “7 year old bikini gallery”, “little girl bikini gallery”. His messages to his minor victims included, “do u like pedos” and “I just wanna fuck little middle schoolers.” In addition to being a sick pedo, Stenwick was also part of the branch of COM notorious for hacking, sim-swapping, swatting and other cybercrimes.

Stenwick is scheduled for a jury trial in July.

Drake Miller, “Script”, age 20

In May of 2025, I publicly crowdsourced finding the identity of “Script” after he repeatedly threatened mine and my child’s lives. After verifying his identity, I filed an FBI report. Miller was arrested in August of 2025 and remained in custody of the US Marshals. He faces 13 federal charges of child sexual exploitation.

Jose Henry Ayala Casamiro, “Cocohen”, age 28

Ayala Casamiro was an “oldgen” 764 member who went by the name Cocohen. He is accused of blackmailing underage girls into creating videos depicting themselves engaging in degrading sadistic sexual acts, torture sessions, and carving their abusers’ initials or names on their bodies, as well as encouraging them to commit suicide on camera.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said, “The facts alleged in this complaint are disturbing. Criminals lurk in the internet’s dark corners to prey on and do lasting damage to children. Let this arrest serve as notice to all online predators. We will find you and arrest you if you hurt children.”

Shahriar J., “White Tiger”, age 21

Shahriar J, 21, from Germany faces 204 charges for grooming and extorting over 30 children between the ages of 9 and 15 into performing degrading sex acts, self-harming, and attempting suicide. The charges include murder and attempted murder, as his abuse was linked to at least one successful child suicide. The case spurred major international attention from both the media and law enforcement officials.

Recent reports indicate that his alleged crimes have made him one of the most hated inmates at the facility, with fellow prisoners placing a “bounty” on his head.

His trial is scheduled for December.

Dong Hwan Kim, “Lobster/Ryzen”, age 27

764 member Dong Hwan Kim, age 27, from Downey California recently pleaded guilty in federal court to two counts of child exploitation. Kim went by the usernames “Ryzen” and “Lobster” and was one of 764’s most wanted criminals for some time before his arrest in August of 2025. According to the DOJ, several underage girls came forward alleging that Kim extorted them for sexual content.

Evan Strauss, “Reaper”, age 26

Strauss was known as “Reaper” in 764. Strauss told investigators he was in the community to help protect females and that he was working to gather intelligence for law enforcement. The investigators determined this claim was untrue. In my experience, it’s very common for predators in this group to call themselves “pedohunters” or even “Feds” in order to avert suspicion of their activity within these circles.

The criminal complaint is extensive, alleging Strauss:

- Founded an online group called “Purgatory” which organized cybercrimes, including doxing, swatting, and extortion of child victims.

- Groomed a juvenile online into cutting the name “Reaper” into her leg and performing sexually explicit and sexually violent acts on camera.

- Used those videos to extort the child victim into producing more content.

- Obtained the juvenile’s home address and threatened to kill members of the child’s family if she did not comply.

Strauss is facing 25 years in prison at sentencing, which is scheduled in July.

Hugo Figuerola Perez, “Neo”, 23

Perez was one of the leaders of 764 who went by the username Neo. Neo was one of the first 764 members I ever encountered back in early 2024. I found him in a video edit of a 764-adjacent group called Harm Nation. In the video, bloody writing on a wall said “Neo rapes little kids.”

Neo had been an active and prominent leader of 764 all the way up until his arrest. He made the mistake of posting a photo of his apartment with a clear view outside his window, which enabled law enforcement to locate his exact address. He was arrested only a few weeks later in Spain.

Jairo Jaime Tinajero, “Christus”, age 25

Tinajero, who went by the username “Christus”, pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy in a plot to murder a teenage girl who he was extorting for sexually explicit images and videos of her cutting herself.

Tinajero called himself a “proud pedophile” and terrorized his minor victims with threats of violence and rape if they refused to comply with his demands.

Tinajero’s charges included racketeering conspiracy and terrorism enhancements, which is a first for a 764 member and indicates the DOJ’s committment to fighting these groups.

The DOJ has alleged that Corey, who was arrested in early 2026, was an active participant in the violent child extortion and sexual exploitation group known as “764”. More specifically, they allege that between the dates of October 20, 2025 and December 19, 2025 Corey was involved in the receipt and distribution of “depraved” child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The federal search warrants of his devices provided further evidence of his involvement with 764, a group in which members often groom and then extort or threaten their child victims into producing CSAM and other violent, degrading material.

My calling has always been protecting people. When I was younger, I had a side hustle in the private security business. I worked as a bodyguard and private investigator, and I trained others in self-defense and firearms. Then one day, in the midst of a particularly challenging transitional period in my life, I decided to start a social media channel to share my skills with the world.

Being in my early 30s with a young daughter, a career in the sciences, and a side hustle in personal protection hadn’t left much room for online experimentation. I was experiencing the strange world of the internet for the first time.

And that’s when I saw it:

Monsters - thousands of them - hiding in the dark.

I was simultaneously scared and embarrassed. Not only did I pride myself on my ability to protect vulnerable people, but I was a mother, as well. How did it take me so long to discover the child predators that were crawling all over every corner of the internet?

One group in particular, the 764 network, had insidiously taken over nearly every social media and kid-centric gaming platform. They were frighteningly efficient at finding child victims online and extorting them. Why wasn’t anyone stopping them?

At that moment, I envisioned two possible paths weaving before me: I could either sit around and worry about the dangerous future awaiting my child, or I could take it upon myself to forge a better one, not just for my own child, but for a generation of them.

And so, I embarked on my journey into the heart of darkness without hesitation.

How could it be possible for a single person - someone without much of a following online and whose name was unknown to everyone of importance in the world - to make a difference? To be honest, I never stopped to ask myself that question. I just started doing things.

I already had all the skills I needed to excel in the world of cybercrime investigations. And so, without giving it much additional thought, I took my proverbial shovel and started to dig.

Nothing that’s worth doing is easy. I spent the subsequent months and years being called crazy, getting laughed at, and fighting censorship, all while being targeted by the very same evildoers I pursued. But I was determined to keep doing things.

I built connections, then I built a team, and then, eventually, I built a network. We were good at what we did. We stealthily gathered intel on the internet’s most dangerous predators. I spent my nights battling with extorters, child abusers, and terrorists before forcing myself into a restless sleep so that I could wake up, be a mom, and work my day job.

Battle weariness took hold frequently. It was only in the strength and support fostered within my small team of unlikely superheroes that I was able to persist. Together, we infiltrated, baited, and did a healthy amount of trolling. We scraped, compiled and mapped data. We painstakingly created report after report after report and sent them to authorities all over the world.

Then the arrests started.

It’s hard to describe the overwhelming catharsis that accompanies watching these demons - these self-proclaimed dark gods - pulled from their homes, handcuffed, and reduced to sniveling, whimpering little worms; powerless without their keyboards.

The number of arrests rose to over a dozen.

The news outlets started publishing stories about the 764 child exploitation network. They were reaching out to me for comment. They were asking me to be a part of their podcasts and documentaries. Following my calling had not only resulted in bad guys going to jail, but it also enabled me to raise awareness to millions of people - from law enforcement officials to ordinary parents.

At the beginning of my journey, when I typed “764“ into my search bar, only a handful of results popped up, and most of them were my own social media posts. I watched in awe as the search results skyrocketed to tens of thousands. Everyone was talking about it.

My vindication arc felt phenomenal, although, even at its peak, I still faced persecution which I was ill-prepared to deal with. I didn’t have lawyers or handlers. I wasn’t an accomplished academic with a counterterrorism degree, nor was I a podcaster or a credentialed journalist. I was an outsider; a random mom who didn’t belong anywhere near the position I occupied.

People noticed, and some of them tried like Hell to stop me.

If you shine a light on evil long enough, it will come after you. It will infect the hearts of people with low moral character and provoke them to come after you. It will not stop trying to extinguish the flame of good. Ever.

But if you can persevere through the inevitable hurdles thrown in your path, just doing things can lead you much closer to the truth than sitting back and “trusting the experts”.

In an online space where the most successful personalities must rapidly pivot from hot topic to hot topic in order to grow, I had found another way. By digging in my heels and growing within my niche, I became the expert.

One day, the FBI invited me to a field office to talk about 764. They sat me down in a little windowless room with a single table and two chairs. It was the type of room you see in a true crime documentary.

They seemed confused. “So, you don’t work for anyone? You just decided to investigate this on your own?”

“Well, yeah,” I replied. “I didn’t know I needed permission.”

They kept asking me questions.

But why?

Don’t you know this is the kind of thing that people with special training and government paychecks are supposed to handle?

Don’t you realize how dangerous this is?

They stared at me, perplexed, asking questions about my research and taking notes on their pads. That’s when I realized that the FBI didn’t have all the answers. They were, in fact, well behind the curve on the 764 threat. As a citizen, I had assumed they were in control of the situation, but they weren’t. Nobody was.

And yet, there I stood, along with a small team of other citizens, and we were actually doing things.

It’s important to remember that just doing things is not without consequences. Many of those who warned me about the dangers involved in my venture were completely correct. I faced a nonstop barrage of threats, harassment and swatting attempts. Police patrolled my neighborhood at the FBI’s request, “just to be safe”.

Eventually, we were advised to move from our idyllic family home to a more secure location. With the move came a tremendous feeling of guilt. Though I had succeeded in making a difference in the world, it came at the cost of uprooting my family.

These days, I hold my young daughter a bit closer than normal. My only peaceful moments come when I turn off my computer at night and sneak quietly into her bedroom to stare at her perfect, doll-like face as she sleeps. I owe it to her to be a strong person; to never quit or relent to the evil forces in the world. Evil thrives in the dark. It’s worst enemy - a flashlight. I hold mine tightly.

A law-enforcement officer recently asked me what my incentive is for continuing this work in the face of great danger. I had phoned in a tip about a member of a satanic accelerationist cult who was planning a terror attack over Telegram.

Asking about a tipster’s motivation is pretty standard practice - they need to make sure the person giving the information isn’t a criminal or a bad actor. But it had been a while since someone had inquired about my motivations.

“Well,” I started, “I just don’t like these guys, and I like to see them go to jail. I guess you could say I do it for the love of the game.”

The officer thanked me. He said if it hadn’t been for my tip, they would’ve had no idea an attack was being planned. My tip was escalated and a federal investigation was opened.

“They really should pay you,” he said.

I just laughed and said, “Yeah.”

My success didn’t come with riches or fanfare or accolades. Not yet anyways. Maybe in the future you’ll see me on your favorite streaming platform or speaking in front of Congress. Or maybe you won’t. Such mainstream attention was never part of the plan, and it still isn’t. In fact, there isn’t a plan and there never was. I just did things.

And you can too.

Merritt, aka “O9A.evil”, was charged alongside several co-defendants – Clint Borge, 42, of Hawaii, Rohan Rane, 29, of France, and Collin Walker, aka “Wrath”, 24, of New Jersey. All men are accused of being key members of CVLT, a cult-like online group that targeted children online, coercing and/or extorting them into committing sadistic acts such as sexual degradation and self-harm on camera.

The DOJ had this to say:

“This guilty plea exposes the depravity of CVLT, a criminal enterprise that systematically targeted vulnerable children, coerced them into producing abuse material, and threatened to destroy their lives if they resisted. Merritt was one of the online administrators who made CVLT’s monstruous machinery of child exploitation run.”

But the charging documents against the four men reveal more than just their horrific crimes against children. They also shine new light on the origins of CVLT’s successor – the infamous 764 network – and its link to the Satanic accelerationist cult Order of Nine Angles.

What is 764?

The 764 network is the term used to describe a group of interconnected, decentralized online groups that weaponize digital platforms like Discord, Telegram, and Roblox to target and exploit underage users. Members of such groups locate vulnerable, unsupervised youth online and then groom and radicalize them, often sharing violent content such as gore, neo-Nazi content, animal torture, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in order to desensitize them.

The abuse then escalates in one of two ways – they either coerce or extort the child to perform sexual or violent acts on camera under threat of retaliation, or they turn the child into an abuser within the network. Victims of extortion are often subjected to escalating demands such as killing pets or suicide. Victims groomed into abusers are given instruction on how to target and exploit other kids, and sometimes even goaded into committing acts of terrorism such as stabbings and school shootings on livestream for the group.

The FBI has used the term “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” (NVE) to describe such groups in order to differentiate them from racially or politically motivated extremist groups. I’ve previously used the terms “Militant Accelerationism” or “Satanic Accelerationism” to describe these specific brands of extremism, and I don’t find the reference to nihilism particularly useful. Far better descriptors of the driving forces behind these concepts are misanthropy – the hatred of humanity – and accelerationism – the desire to fuel the total collapse of society.

But a name is just a name. It’s far more important to understand how these groups came into existence in the first place.

It might come as a surprise to learn that 764, the specific group that would eventually morph and evolve into a sordid network of extreme child abusers, was founded by a 15-year-old Texas boy named Bradley Cadenhead. While many are quick to attempt to find deeper meaning in the number “764”, the naming of the group is actually superficial – It was named after the first three digits of Cadenhead’s zip code in Stephenville, Texas.

Bradley Cadenhead had a troubled upbringing. He had a hard time fitting in at school, eventually developing a morbid interest in extreme gore at an early age. Cadenhead has claimed that he met other individuals with the same twisted interests while playing the online game Minecraft, quickly finding himself immersed in online chatrooms where he became increasingly radicalized.

Cadenhead was eventually arrested and, at only 18 years old, handed a jaw-dropping 80-year sentence. In an interview with Beneath the Surface News, the officer in charge of the Cadenhead case stated, “To be perfectly honest, the child pornography is probably the least egregious crime he has committed; he is a scary kid. His whole thing is about online manipulation.”

Cadenhead’s case file contains a scanned cover letter with bright pink words warning future parole boards about the potential consequences of his early release:

“THIS DEFENDANT IS DANGEROUS.”

Earlier this year, Cadenhead’s attorneys filed a writ of habeas corpus, imploring the court to reassess his sentence. The motion was denied.

But Cadenhead has been willing to chat with a colleague of mine in recent months. Though I’m not at liberty to publish his exact words at this time, he did give a detailed account of his childhood, specifically, his troubles fitting in with his peers and his penchant for extreme content at an early age – content which he alleged his father indulged in alongside him.

More surprisingly, Cadenhead claimed ignorance of his affiliation with the satanic accelerationist cult Order of Nine Angles (O9A), stating he had never even heard of the group when he founded 764 in 2021.

Why is this so surprising?

Since 764 was first identified by the FBI in 2022, people have linked the group to O9A, with some going as far as to call it an O9A offshoot. But the evidence to support a direct connection has remained murky for some time. It took several years of research to gain a partial understanding of this link.

Conversations with former associates, chat logs from extremist forums, and bits of information obtained in recent charging documents have made the picture somewhat clearer and corrected the record on some initial misunderstandings, though there are still many puzzle pieces left to find.

Perhaps Cadenhead will sit down for a proper interview and answer some of our more pressing questions soon. Until then, here is a summary of what we have put together through good old-fashioned open-source research.

The Origins of CVLT

In the 2010s, extremist groups were festering on online platforms like Telegram and Discord. These new groups differed dramatically from the typical early internet extremist groups, which predominantly relied on organized web forums and email groups to congregate and collectivize. Now with the ability to create individualized chat rooms with ease, such groups quickly began to cross-pollinate - White nationalist groups fused with pagan neo-Nazi groups, accelerationists and even Satanists.

Adding to the chaos was the growing influence of “Com” - a sprawling interconnected network of cybercriminal communities where extortion, fraud and hacking are used as a way to harass vulnerable targets and sow discord in society at large. As these groups began to fuse, a decentralized network filled with Frankenstein-hybrid extremists became the new norm.

Bowl Patrol was one such notable group of Telegram and Discord miscreants who took white nationalism to an extreme - worshipping mass shooters like Dylann Roof, who murdered 9 black congregants in a Charleston, South Carolina church in 2015. The name “Bowl Patrol” was a reference to Roof’s bowl-cut hairstyle. Bowl Patrol would eventually morph and evolve into even more extreme communities like Terrorgram.

Naturally, Bowl Patrol members were obsessed with extreme gore and violence, and the associated chat groups crossed over with other communities fond of sharing gore and edgy extremist views. One such gore group called 6996 was influential to a lot of early satanic accelerationist movements and Com groups, including 764 and the 764-linked Eastern European Satanic murder cult, MKY.

As these groups converged, another community known as Team Rocket became a prominent hangout for extremists from Bowl Patrol and various gore groups and eventually became home to the O9A pedophiles who would go on to create CVLT.

A source who was formerly involved in Team Rocket around 2019 alleged that two Niners (the colloquial term for O9A adherents) active in these Discord servers would coerce young girls to perform live “cut shows” in the video channels, instructing them to carve their usernames into their bodies. One of the two Niners used the username “Wrath”, making it likely the person in question was Collin Walker.

It is well known that many notorious O9A-linked extremists as well as future members of 764 participated in Team Rocket. Such individuals include Richard Densmore, Angel Almeida, and even Bradley Cadenhead himself. As previously noted, these individuals were already coercing victims to self-harm on camera and create “blood signs” (writing on walls or sheets of paper in blood) in addition to sexually explicit content.

CVLT escalated this abuse to involve extortion, threatening to ruin their victims’ lives if they refused to comply. Extorting victims into acts of extreme violence and sexual abuse was a notable deviation from the prior Extortion Com model, which was largely focused on “fan-signing” (writing an abuser’s name on their foreheads or a piece of paper as a symbol of ownership) and acts of humiliation such as licking toilet seats and other disgusting and embarrassing acts.

According to the DOJ, Merritt and his co-defendants founded CVLT and operated it as a child exploitation enterprise. This interpretation of their cult allowed the DOJ to hit them with RICO charges. But CVLT was more than that. It was a new model of sadistic abuse, fusing O9A Satanism and child sexual abuse with the extortion tactics popularized in Com.

Splinters began to form spontaneously as other members of the extremist landscape tried to create their own versions of CVLT. One such group, Greggy’s Cult, was also the precipice for several recent arrests. Five men were arrested and charged with being founding members of Greggy’s Cult and were similarly hit with child exploitation enterprise charges. Two of those men, Zachary Dosch, aka “Moist Nigerian”, and Rumaldo Valdez, aka “Duck”, were key members that contributed to the creation of 764.

The Rise of 764

According to Bradley Cadenhead, he first encountered an individual on Minecraft who introduced him to Team Rocket and CVLT. This person is likely Zachary Dosch, however, some sources also claim that Rohan Rane played a key role in helping Cadenhead create 764. Cadenhead participated in the extortion and abuse committed by Greggy’s Cult and, according to sources within these groups, took several members with him into his first 764 channel, which was called “764 Cult”.

764 adopted all the same methods and aesthetics of CVLT: an emphasis on Satanism and extortion, self-harm, blood-signs or fan-signs, and committing degrading sexual acts and violence against animals.

The CVLT co-defendants weren’t discrete about their affiliation with O9A. Merritt went by the username O9A.evil and Walker went by O9A.wrath. It stands to reason that the other members were also closely connected with O9A’s unique brand of satanic accelerationism, especially considering CVLT’s emphasis on Satanic aesthetics, self-harm and writing in blood.

As you can see, the connection between 764 and O9A is quite nuanced. Cadenhead’s claim that he didn’t know anything about O9A when he founded 764 is difficult to believe, considering he was immersed in a group chat full of prolific Niners for some time prior. Then again, it’s hard to imagine an incentive for Cadenhead to lie about such a relatively trivial detail now that his fate is sealed.

While it may or may not be true that Cadenhead had no direct knowledge of O9A, the flow down of sinister influence is quite obvious. And when you consider O9A’s emphasis on infiltrating and subverting extremist movements and driving its members to commit evil acts, things start to make a lot more sense.

It’s not my intention to defend O9A’s twisted pathos in any way. I’ll leave it up to the reader to decide how much culpability is justified when considering its influence over the 764 network.

Sources of Misunderstanding

Establishing a link between 764 and O9A is easily justified by pointing out how the O9A influence flowed down from CVLT, but the common assertion that 764 is an offshoot or “nexion” of O9A is patently false.

In reality, many journalists and even academics were misinformed in their initial analyses of 764 and its connection to O9A. This resulted in the proliferation of misinformation and conspiracy theories – some of which were actually exploited by O9A cultists to obfuscate their influence over these groups.

The first published connection between O9A and 764 was made after the arrest of 21-year-old Angel Almeida of Queens, New York on child exploitation charges. The court documents detail how police were tipped off to Almeida’s social media presence in 2022, leading them to unearth troves of evidence linking him to the Order of Nine Angles and implicating him in sex crimes against children.

An article written by The Guardian in 2023 stated that Almeida’s arrest led the FBI to discover the existence of 764, citing only “sources with knowledge” for this information. But Almeida’s crimes against his minor victims began in 2020, the year prior to 764’s creation. Furthermore, the superseding indictment cited in the article makes no reference to 764 by name.

Further digging revealed an even deeper connection. Almeida was notably active in Team Rocket and also very likely active in Bowl Patrol, given his obsession with Dylann Roof. All of this might seem odd given that Almeida is a non-white Hispanic. In fact, it’s been said by sources familiar with the CVLT group dynamic that Almeida was widely dismissed as a “larper” and that Bradley Cadenhead refused to allow him to join 764 on account of his race.

There’s a good explanation for all of this that became evident during his court proceedings - Almeida is irredeemably insane. Almeida would become the first (and so far only) known arrestee in the satanic accelerationist network to be adjudicated mentally unfit for trial and permanently incarcerated in a BOP mental health facility. Regardless, in Almeida’s mind, he was on the path to becoming a living God.

Almeida had an intense fascination with O9A. Unlike many recent cases of young offenders who are only superficially interested in the aesthetics of the cult, Almeida was deeply committed to learning the O9A’s philosophical praxis and practicing occult rituals to grow his rank within The Order.

O9A is a unique cult because it focuses on individualism and decentralization. There is no formal leadership or oversight; anyone can purchase the literature online and embark on their left-hand path journey to immortality.

Many Niners rebut the claim that Almeida was part of the cult by arguing he wasn’t worthy, mainly on account of his race and his acts of child abuse, which is generally forbidden in O9A literature. But the simple fact is that anyone can purchase the materials online and initiate themselves into the cult, under their own interpretation of its praxis, with no one to check them. That is how O9A founder David Myatt designed the cult, and that’s exactly what Almeida chose to do.

Sources familiar with Almeida claim that he considered his abuse - which involved coercing young female victims into committing acts of sexual exploitation and self-harm on video - as a ritual to an O9A Dark God called Shaitan. When investigators searched Almeida’s home, they found an alarming amount of evidence demonstrating his commitment to O9A.

One item retrieved from Almeida’s home appeared to be a blood oath on a sheet of paper. It featured several distinct O9A sigils smudged with blood surrounding an image of the Zodiac killer. At the bottom was a blood covenant signed by “SATANAE MANIBUS”.

The moniker Satanae Manibus belongs to a man named Jarod Choate who held a leadership role in an O9A splinter group called Satanic Front. According to members of that group, which has long been at odds with the classic O9A adherents, Almeida ordered the paper pre-signed off of the Satanic Front eBay store (though who the blood belonged to is uncertain).

Satanic Front leadership has used this explanation to distance their group from Almeida, though as previously noted, the individualized nature of such groups allows for anyone to claim allegiance. I’ve found myself in many heated arguments with Satanic Front leadership on this particular point.

Almeida also purchased a variety of propaganda connected to Satanic Front and its sister group, Tempel ov Blood, which have become increasingly distinguished from the classic O9A in recent years. In addition to having all varieties of O9A propaganda in his posession, he was also found to possess a variety of other Satanic literature indicating an interest in general chaos magick.

Almeida was an ethnically non-white neo-Nazi who worshipped Dylann Roof and identified with a number of fringe satanic movements. He was one of the first of many contradictory hybrids to crop up in the new extremist landscape that thrived on Discord and Telegram. There would be many more like him coming.

The issue is that, in 2022, very little was understood about the extremist landscape that molded the clinically insane Angel Almeida into a deranged cultist. The specific dynamics of groups like Bowl Patrol and Team Rocket and their relationship with CVLT, 764 and O9A eluded researchers and law enforcement alike for a very long time.

One of the reasons for this is the forced reliance on dubious sources, hearsay, rumors, and circumstantial evidence. Information often comes from sources formerly involved in the extremist landscape who are either relying on memory or are simply mistaken.

There have been several examples of researchers and other sources taking information posted on the website “Doxbin” – a pastebin-style website designed for hosting and sharing personal information and often used by members of Com to harass and intimidate victims – and treating the information as factual without any further thought. In reality, Doxbin entries are notoriously wrong and often intentionally created by the subject of the purported dox to mislead researchers, law enforcement officials, and rivals within Com.

Now that the arrests are pouring in (and they are doing so quickly), a close analysis of the charging documents often sheds new light on the arrestees and, in some cases, corrects former misunderstandings. For example, the username “Duck” was widely reported by outlets like The Guardian and Wired as belonging to Angel Almeida, however, the charging documents against members of Greggy’s Cult reveal this person to be Rumaldo Valdez. The assumption that Duck was Almeida (who actually used the names “Gorebutcher” and “Necropedocel”) presumably originated from an incorrect Doxbin entry.

Then there’s the issue of former extremists being used as sources by journalists and academics. This is a tricky problem. On the one hand, such sources are often invaluable in providing the information needed to identify bad actors and understand the dynamics of the groups. On the other hand, they are prone to memory errors and, in some cases, will willfully lie and deceive to cover for their friends. The information obtained from such sources should always be vetted, and if the information is published, it should be noted as coming from a former extremist and presented as hearsay.

Luckily, with the huge surge of arrests in the satanic accelerationist landscape, we now have official court documents to straighten the record on many things. Information obtained in such documents can generally be considered as objective fact, far more reliable than hearsay and Doxbin entries. There are many cases, for example, of 764 members reusing usernames. During formal investigations, the usernames are analyzed alongside information subpoenaed from social media platforms – such as emails and IP addresses – to provide certainty of ownership.

In some cases, like in the case of the CVLT and Greggy’s Cult arrests, court documents give us a unique glimpse into the history of the harmful online groups that have since morphed into one of the greatest threats facing children all over the world in the 21^st century.

Valdez, who is transgender and identifies as male, was planning to attack and kill a classmate who the girls believed resembled Adam Lanza, the perpetrator of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The girls reportedly intended to carry out a “blood ritual” in a school bathroom, involving slitting the victim’s throat, drinking his blood, and performing other elements intended to “resurrect” or forge a supernatural bond with Lanza. Evidence recovered included a knife in one of the girls’ backpacks, along with ritualistic items such as flowers, candy, cigarettes, gloves, and an apology note addressed to parents.

Evidence released by authorities includes a disturbing, 30-minute-long recording of the girls in the back of the police cruiser, nonchalantly discussing their sadistic plot as if unaware the interaction was being recorded. At one point in the conversation, Valdez appeared to remind Lippert that her role in the plan was to distribute photos of the crime around the “TCC” community.

On Tuesday, February 10^th at around 1:20pm, in the small town of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar unleashed a rampage on a local secondary school which tragically ended the lives of 5 students ages 12 to 13 and one teacher. Jesse was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following the shooting. Investigators found that Jesse had murdered his mother and his 11-year-old stepbrother at his home prior to heading to the school.

At the school, the majority of the students who were killed were cowering in an upstairs school library in an eerie homage to Columbine. Jesse was not related to any of the victims at the school, and authorities haven’t released any information indicating why he chose the school as his target.

It was the deadliest mass shooting in Canada since the 2020 attack in Nova Scotia. School shootings in Canada are quite rare.

There are still some big unanswered questions in the Tumbler Ridge shooting, the biggest being Jesse’s motivations for targeting that specific school. It’s very possible there was a manifesto or other indicators of motive that haven’t yet been publicly released by authorities. Based on what we know so far, a few things are certain.
