I have always liked the idea of a fresh start.

A clean desk. A new notebook. A folder system that actually makes sense. A chance to look at what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.

That does not mean I always manage to keep everything perfectly organized. I have ADHD, so I know how quickly a simple list can turn into a wall of competing tasks. When everything feels important, it can be surprisingly difficult to decide what to do first.

Many small-business owners know that feeling too.

They have a logo, but it may not be available in the right format. Their website needs attention. Their social media graphics are inconsistent. Their business cards are outdated. Their files are scattered across several folders. There are forms to create, spreadsheets to organize, marketing materials to update and ideas that have been sitting unfinished for months.

The problem is usually not a lack of effort.

Small-business owners are already doing plenty. They are answering emails, serving customers, managing money, promoting their business, ordering supplies and trying to keep up with everything else that comes with being responsible for a business.

They often do not need another online course or another complicated system.

They need someone to help them sort through the mess and focus on the things that will make the biggest difference.

That is where the idea for the Business Reset Day came from.

A different kind of design service

I have been working in graphic design for more than 20 years. Over that time, I have helped businesses with logos, branding, advertising, print materials, websites, social media graphics and many other parts of their public image.

But design is rarely just about making something look nice.

Sometimes a business owner needs help figuring out why their materials do not feel consistent. Sometimes they have a good logo, but only have a blurry file they downloaded from somewhere. Sometimes their website does not explain what they actually offer. Sometimes they have no idea whether their Google presence is helping or hurting them.

And sometimes the most urgent problem has nothing to do with design at all.

They might need help organizing their office systems, setting up bookkeeping processes, planning a window display or making their workspace more functional.

I wanted to create a service that allowed me to help with the bigger picture instead of only working on one isolated design project at a time.

What can happen in five hours?

The Business Reset Day is five hours of focused help for one business.

We start by identifying the most important priorities. What has been bothering you? What have you been avoiding? What would make your business feel more professional, organized or manageable?

Depending on your needs, the day might include:

• Reviewing your branding and making recommendations

• Refining or updating your logo

• Creating a proper vector logo file

• Reviewing your website and Google presence

• Designing print or digital marketing materials

• Creating social media graphics

• Organizing forms, templates or office systems

• Setting up a better bookkeeping workflow

• Planning a window display

• Discussing the interior design of your business space

It is not meant to cover everything at once. That would not be realistic.

Five hours will not build an entire website, complete a massive rebrand, create six months of social media content and organize your entire business from top to bottom. Larger projects or work that falls outside the scheduled session may require a separate quote.

The goal is to make real progress on the things that matter most right now.

Sometimes that means completing several smaller tasks. Sometimes it means solving one major problem. Sometimes it means creating a clear plan so you finally know what to do next.

Why I wanted it to be accessible

Professional help can become expensive very quickly, especially for a new business or a solo entrepreneur.

You may need a graphic designer, a website developer, a marketing consultant, a bookkeeper and someone to help organize your systems. Most small businesses cannot hire all of those people at once.

The Business Reset Day costs $500 for five hours. There is also a Saturday option for $650. Klarna and Afterpay may be available for clients who would prefer to divide the payment.

I wanted the price and the scope to be clear. You know how much time you are booking, what we will focus on and what may need to become a separate project later.

That is important because I do not want to promise more than five hours can realistically accomplish.

How the day works

The Business Reset Day can take place on-site or virtually.

For an on-site session, I can come to your business. For a virtual session, we can work through video calls, phone, email or messaging, depending on what works best for you.

Before the scheduled day, you complete an intake form and send the files and information that will help me prepare. This might include your logo, brand guidelines, business cards, brochures, ads, menus, price lists, social media graphics, forms, website screenshots, photographs, spreadsheets or other business materials.

You also identify your top three priorities, your single biggest priority and the tasks you have been neglecting.

That preparation is important. It means we can spend the five hours working instead of using most of the session trying to figure out what the actual problem is.

A reset does not mean you have failed

I think many business owners wait too long before asking for help because they feel they should already have everything figured out.

They should have a better system. They should understand marketing. They should know how to organize their files. They should have a polished website and a consistent brand.

But businesses change. Offers change. Customers change. What worked when you started may no longer work now.

Needing a reset does not mean your business is failing. It means you have reached a point where the way you have been doing things needs another look.

The Business Reset Day is designed to give you focused attention, practical help and a little breathing room.

You do not have to arrive with a perfect plan. You only need to be willing to look honestly at what needs attention and decide what deserves your time first.
