The Games for Scholarships has officially launched, with games from 159 creators for a donation of $10 or more to support Games for Change.

Funds raised will provide scholarships for underserved youth participating in the Games for Change Student Challenge, a global game design competition that invites students ages 10-25 to create original digital and tabletop games about issues impacting their communities. The program develops important college and career readiness skills like coding, digital design, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. The Challenge also amplifies student voices, empowering young people to imagine creative solutions to social problems and to see themselves as engaged citizens and changemakers.

This bundle offers 324 games and game supplements like TTRPGs, art packs, browser-based games, zines, and more worth more than $650. The bundle is collecting donations until Sunday, September 20th at 11:59 pm PT with a fundraising goal of $10,000 (and beyond!) Included games like Magic of Inventorying, Under the Neighborhood, and Possession can be previewed in advance of purchase on the bundle page and on the game jam page among other submissions.

In addition to purchasing the Games for Scholarships charity bundle, supporters are encouraged to look at additional resources.

The Games for Change Student Challenge invites students to design, build, and compete; showcasing the next generation of game makers. The program culminates in a game design competition through which students (ages 10-25) submit their original impact games and compete for scholarships, technology, industry-related opportunities, and national recognition.

Money raised from the Games for Scholarships charity bundle will help fund the Games for Change Student Challenge Scholarship program.

Game submissions will be accepted from July 13 - August 9 at the Games for Scholarships Game Jam. All games submitted to this jam will be turned into a charity bundle to support Games for Change for a minimum donation of $10 from August 17 - September 20.

FAQ

Can I submit multiple projects? You are welcome to submit multiple games, free, paid, or pay what you can, including new and existing games. TTRPGs and supplements, browser-based games, art packs for games, etc. are all welcome.

Are there any rules to the game jam? The only rules are that submissions must be a game or game adjacent and they cannot include racist, transphobic, homophobic, sexist, ableist, or GenAI Content.

How long will the game jam and bundle last? The jam is scheduled to last from July 13 - August 9, while the bundle is planned to collect funds from August 17 - September 20. You’ll need to approve your bundle entry before August 16 (you’ll be sent instructions on how to do this via email)

How much will the bundle cost when it is live? The bundle will cost a minimum of $10, while higher donations will be appreciated and encouraged.

Which charity will this bundle support? Games submitted to this jam will be turned into a charity bundle to benefit Games for Change. Doctors Without Borders TTRPG Charity Stream and Streamathon

Doctors Without Borders cares for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries. Our May Charity Stream of D&D raised $615 to support their Palestinian Relief efforts and kicked off a 27-hour Streamathon with eight other TTRPG groups to raise a grand total of $3,544. We also hosted a Commander Charity Stream supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital that raised $650 in April and $835 in May.

Together, we raised $687,669.31 to help educate the community about immigration matters and advocates for public policies which respect the universal human rights of immigrants.

TTRPGs for Trans Rights

I am horrified at what is happening to Trans folks in Kansas, the role back of protections against conversion therapy in Colorado, and the hate spreading for the trans community throughout the country, so I’m sharing this bundle created by Rue Dickey in hopes that you will support. Something I noticed on my socials was the support that came from around the world, including Iran, Australia, Italy, France and more. 46,945 individuals purchased the bundle for as little as $10 and as high as $2,000. People on TikTok offered to purchase the bundle for those who didn’t have $10 to spare. This bundle was such an incredible reminder of the kindness our community can have for each other, not only in wanting to stop the atrocities that ICE is committing, but also to ensure that no one has to miss out [on a game deal this good.]

What’s next?

I don’t have any concrete plans for my next charity bundle, auction, or raffle but when I do, I’ll make a call for submissions in the below newsletter.

In response to the Trump administration sending ICE agents to the Minneapolis area and the reckless murder of an innocent people by ICE agents, we have created the No ICE in Minnesota Charity Bundle to support ICLM. I am genuinely so grateful to everyone helping make this fundraiser a success. This means the world to so many people.

Games against Genocide TTRPG Charity Bundle

In Gaza, Doctors Without Borders teams are providing lifesaving care with extremely limited supplies in hospitals overwhelmed with casualties, often while coming under attack by Israeli forces. In the West Bank they operate mobile clinics to reach people cut off from health care and train community members on how to provide first aid when facilities are inaccessible during frequent Israeli military incursions.

Games against Genocide Charity Bundle raised $6,495 to support Doctors Without Borders and their Palestinian relief efforts. Donors will be able to download the bundle until Jan 31, 2026, at 12 p.m. PST.

Looking back

I started ChariTTRPGs in March of 2024 and wasn’t sure how well received the idea would be, so far it has been overwhelmingly positive. There are over 285 subscribers to the general ChariTTRPGs newsletter and 235 subscribers to the Charity Bundle/Auction newsletter. It is truly a blessing to be surrounded by so many people who care about the charitable efforts of the TTRPG Community.

89 content creators joined 26 Tabletop Charity streams to raise funds for amazing causes. Hundreds of creators donated their TTRPGs and supplements spread over 3 charity bundles and dozens of creators donated their TTRPG items for a charity raffle and auction. It has been an amazing year of intersecting charity with tabletop and I look forward to continuing into next year and beyond.

Looking forward

In 2026 we will continue supporting St. Jude, ACLU, Project HOPE, Trans Lifeline, and Doctors Without Borders, while leaving room to support additional causes through monthly charity streams and various bundles. I am also planning to create and share more resources on how to become a better fundraiser. Stay tuned!

Games against Genocide extension

Games against Genocide Charity Bundle has 50 games from 39 community creators for a donation of $10 or more to support Doctors Without Borders and their Palestine relief efforts. So far, we have raised $4,731 of our $7,500 goal. We will be extending the donation deadline until January 1, 2026. Included games like Delta Green: Agent’s Handbook, Coyote & Crow, and SIDEQUEST Year 1 can be previewed in advance of purchase on the bundle page and on the current submission page among the other submissions.

In Gaza, Doctors Without Borders teams are providing lifesaving care with extremely limited supplies in hospitals overwhelmed with casualties, often while coming under attack by Israeli forces. In the West Bank they operate mobile clinics to reach people cut off from health care and train community members on how to provide first aid when facilities are inaccessible during frequent Israeli military incursions.

Project HOPE Charity Streams

Project HOPE is an international global health and humanitarian aid organization that focuses on disaster and health crises relief; infectious diseases; non-communicable diseases; maternal, neonatal, and child health; and health policy.

DOTS RPG Project

DOTS RPG Project is focused on Improving Accessibility In Tabletop Roleplaying Games, One Adventure at a Time! In 2024, DOTS introduced their Signature Braille RPG Dice (a 7 set of polyhedral dice), and in 2025, they introduced single sets of dice for games that don’t revolve around the d20 like Vampire the Masquerade, Yahtzee! and more. We raised $465 to support this incredible mission through our Raffle.

St. Jude

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Their researchers and doctors work together to turn laboratory breakthroughs into lifesaving treatments for children from across the United States and around the world. Our November Charity Stream of Bug Dish raised $400 to support this mission and had so many bug puns and so much flirting.

TTRPG and MtG Raffle for DOTS RPG Project

Games against Genocide for Doctors Without Borders

In response to the ongoing genocide in Palestine, we are creating a charity bundle to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders who are providing medical and psychological assistance to Palestinians affected by conflict, displacement, and occupation. Funds raised from this charity bundle will be restricted to Palestinian relief efforts.

This bundle will officially launch on Monday, November 10 to support Doctors Without Borders and will collect donations until December 12. All submissions are TTRPGs that have never been included in an itchio charity bundle, with inclusions like Delta Green: Agent’s Handbook, Coyote & Crow, and more. So far there are 46 TTRPGs worth over $275!

I am thrilled to share we raised 1,000 GBP which is roughly $1,327 to support Medical Aid for Palestinians who provides essential medical services in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon. MAP focuses on delivering health and medical care to those most affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement, advocating for the rights to health and dignity of Palestinians.

Our Kids on Bikes game had so many pudding puns, teenage drama, and ghosts!

In our game of Daggerheart, we saw werewolf wrestling, home town rivalry, and the power of friendship!

I am hosting a TTRPG and Magic the Gathering Raffle to support DOTS RPG Project. I am thrilled to share we raised $1,850 with one TTRPG charity stream to support Trevor Project who is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. They provide information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round.

In our return to Adamantine Chef, we canonized Cheesus, reverse ratatouilled, and added more puns than we could count.

Our next charity bundle starts collecting games tomorrow

I am thrilled to share we raised $105,768.04 through the No ICE in California itchio charity bundle supporting Immigrant Defenders Law Center, an LA based social justice law firm that defends our immigrant communities against injustices in the immigration system and RAÍCES, a Texas based organization fighting to welcome and fight for families seeking safety and freedom in the U.S. RAÍCES is serving a lot of families who have been apprehended in Los Angeles and transferred to the family detention center in Dilley, Texas, run by the private prison contractor CoreCivic.

I’ll be hosting a Games against Genocide tiltify charity bundle this fall to support Medical Aid for Palestinians. Game collection will last October 6 - November 3 and the bundle will last November 10 - December 12. This bundle will feature games that cannot be found on itchio.

ACLU TTRPG Charity Streams

We also hosted two TTRPG charity streams to support ACLU that raised $485.69 for their mission of defending and preserving the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to everyone in the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States. For nearly 100 years, the ACLU has worked in courts, legislatures, and communities to protect civil liberties, including freedom of speech and assembly.

Our Drakonym stream featured baby dragons, lots of combat, and flirting!

Our SAGAS stream featured…chaos. So much chaos. Each round of combat we switched dimensions taking keywords from the audience like "beautiful, mermaid, psychic, informercial, cooking show," and, "hotdog, cool butts, sparkling, stake your claim, ASMR."
