ES has not yet recovered 7769 (see previous notes on chart) but today I’m watching price relative to 7728 (1/2R off Aug high) - if Bulls are firmly back in control they will hold ES above that level (dashed line on chart) or recover a test quickly.

This is the level to monitor in the ST.

I wrote yesterday that 7686 was ‘First Resistance’ and so it proved during yesterday’s RTH (see chart) but ES has now recovered that level and has opened today’s RTH above it. Can Bulls hold it?

There was a rejected test of that Resistance on 08/28 (arrowed on chart). As I wrote 08/27 ‘Not enough evidence supporting the bull case yet’.

Today, First level Resistance is at 7686. I’d be interested to see if a rejected test of yesterday’s low would attract Buyers.

For the first half of yesterday’s session ES meandered around that level but interestingly, in the pm, a small base was built just above it (see arrow on chart) and then a rally began.

In the ST that’s a marker and time printed back below 7686 would be a negative indicating lower. Not enough evidence supporting the bull case yet.

Significant Buying was marked on Monday and again yesterday. The first sign of mechanical weakness would now be a RTH close below 7656.0, yesterday’s Buying Day Low (dashed line on chart), this has moved higher from 7542.75, see chart and yesterday’s note.

ES had a very constructive day yesterday; Significant Buying was marked and now the first sign of mechanical weakness would be a RTH close below 7542.75, yesterday’s Buying Day Low (dashed line on chart).

I also wrote yesterday ‘Today, 7557 could attract time’ - price action was actually the opposite of that - there was a very brief rejected test of that level at the RTH Open and ES rallied strongly.

I also wrote that 7514.5 was ‘minor Resistance today’.

Both levels came into play - first a rejected test of the Resistance; then a decline from there and a rejected test of the Support. ES is in a stronger position. Today, 7557 could attract time.

Development: on 27th July the Major Control migrated lower to 7448.5 (from 7556.5). Price relative to the level (now Resistance) is important to monitor.

That didn’t happen yet but ES remains in a strong position - as I wrote 07/08 ‘the Major Control Support at 7448.5 and the 1/2R off June high at 7493 (dashed line), have been tested and recovered overnight. Bulls would want those levels to hold’.
