WHAT’S ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN HER BODY

Testing isn’t a woman being difficult for sport. It’s a woman’s body asking a question her mouth is too smart to ask out loud: if I push a little, does this man cave, disappear, or hold steady? She is not doing this with a clipboard and a strategy. Most of the time she doesn’t even know she’s doing it. First, We Need a Better Definition of Cheating

I think cheating is any romantic, sexual, or emotionally intimate behavior with another person that violates the agreement of your relationship and is intentionally hidden because you know your partner would reasonably have a problem with it.

The Word Got Weaponized And You’re The One Paying For It

Here’s what nobody’s telling you. “Narcissist” used to mean something real. A real diagnosis, a real pattern, years of therapy to unpack. Now it’s what gets thrown at you the second you don’t respond to a text in four minutes.

You pull back to think and suddenly you’re “emotionally abusive.” You need a night to cool off and suddenly you’re “just like my ex.” You set one boundary and the group chat has already diagnosed you.

I get why this happened. Everybody became a therapist overnight thanks to fifteen second videos with dramatic music behind them. But here’s the actual cost to you. When every man who needs space gets labeled a narcissist, the real ones get to hide in the crowd, and you get stuck carrying a diagnosis you never earned.

You start believing it. That’s the part that actually messes with you. You start wondering if maybe she’s right, if maybe there IS something wrong with you for needing quiet, for needing time, for not performing an emotional breakdown on command.

There isn’t. But you do need to know the difference between what you’re actually doing and what she’s accusing you of. So let’s break it down, no fluff, straight facts.

What You’re Actually Doing If You’re Avoidant

You need space when things get intense. Not because you don’t care. Because your nervous system reads closeness as danger before it reads it as safety. That’s not a character flaw. That’s wiring, probably built a long time ago, before you even had words for what was happening to you. And wiring can change.

You go quiet instead of exploding. Silence is your shutdown response, not your weapon. You’re not plotting in there. You’re just trying not to say something you can’t take back.

You’re not a different man behind closed doors than you are in public. If you’re charming with everyone else and cold only with her, that’s not avoidance, that’s something else, and you need to be honest with yourself about that.

The One Question That Tells You Which One You Are

When you come back after pulling away, do you actually hear her? Or do you need her to apologize first before anything moves forward?

Sit with that one. Actually sit with it, don’t just skim past it. That question alone tells you more about yourself than any TikTok diagnosis ever could.

Why This Actually Matters For You

Because if you’re avoidant, what you need is patience, better communication tools, and the self awareness to name what’s happening before it blows up a relationship you actually want to keep. Meanwhile… The Other Side

Now let’s be honest about something uncomfortable.

There are women who will, without hesitation, say things like:

“You’re acting like a pussy.”
“You’re being a bitch.”
“You’re such an asshole.”
“You’re not a real man.”

And when it’s brought up?

“It’s not that serious.”
“I was just mad.”
“That’s just how I talk.”

But let’s flip it for one second.

If a man said:

“You’re acting like a bitch.”
“You’re being emotional.”
“You’re crazy.”

What happens?

He’s labeled disrespectful.
Insensitive.

And in many cases - rightfully so.
