I also think a really important piece of the puzzle is the genuine connection between the people behind the brand and the person behind the lens representing it (aka the content creator). There needs to be mutual trust and support. I’ve worked with brands who have very strict guidelines on what I can say or how I style something, and I quickly learned that isn’t for me. It just made me feel like the brand was paying me to represent them but didn’t actually want me, or what I like, they just wanted my face. I didn’t love that.

Of course, with any brand collaboration, you’re working within a brand’s already established style. I’m not reinventing the brand with my own opinions, designing something completely from scratch would have to be my own brand someday. But having the ability to make small tweaks, a fabric, a cut, adding fringe, and then styling the pieces my way, that’s where the collaboration really comes alive for me. Meg Eddy, the founder of Eddy Esthetic, made sure these pieces were still me, and then gave me free rein with styling to make them even more me.

Which brings me to this edit. I am so excited about it. Eddy makes the kind of pieces that are just easy to wear, you can throw them on and go, dress them up, or dress them down, and they work just as hard for you no matter the season. I love the prints, they’re even better in person. I love mixing colors, but I also love pairing one bright main piece with simple accessories and letting it be the whole moment. This edit is a mix of both. Below are a few of my favorite ways I styled these pieces for summer, plus how I’m already bringing each one into fall.

Look 01: The Red Floral Dress

For summer, I kept this one simple and let the print do the talking. I tied a cream cord belt at the waist, added shell flower earrings, a cream tassel necklace, amber tinted sunglasses, a structured cream clutch, and cream mules. Effortless, a little romantic, and so easy to throw on for a warm day.

For fall, the same dress gets a whole new life. I layered a brown wrap top over it, swapped in mother of pearl and amber drop earrings, and traded the cream accessories for a burgundy croc clutch and brown satin wedge mules. Same dress, completely different season.

Look 02: The Striped Co-ord

This one is proof that these pieces are meant to be mixed and matched. As a full set for summer, I wore the striped jacket over a simple white tank with the matching striped pants, and let the color do the work with turquoise stone earrings, a gold chain necklace with a little heart charm, and a beaded ombre necklace layered on top, finished with gold ankle strap sandals.

Going into fall, I split the set up two ways. The striped top goes with light wash wide leg jeans, gold hoop earrings, a brown cord necklace, an olive suede clutch, burgundy sunglasses, and cutout flats for something a little more downtown. The striped pants get their own moment too, paired with a fringe trimmed ivory jacket, two tone gold drop earrings, a wide tan belt, a woven cream clutch, and bronze kitten heel mules for something dressier.

Look 03: The Fringe Mini Dress

For summer, I kept this one short and breezy, styled with gold huggie earrings, layered gold necklaces with a mother of pearl pendant, amber sunglasses, a woven box clutch, and raffia platform sandals for a look that feels made for a warm night out.

I love the cut of these AGolde shorts, they feel so much more put together than your average jean short. I paired them with a yellow tee by Eterne, one of my favorite brands for basics, and an Aligne sweater over it for when it’s a little cool out. Jimmy Fairly sunglasses are on repeat for me lately. I'm starting with an easy run around/workout outfit. An Alo set in my favorite color, this sage green tank and matching bike shorts are just so good. When it comes to anything bridal, staying classy and chic matters so much to me, and I try not to overdo it on trends or try too hard. These are the moments and the photos you’re going to look back on forever, and I want to actually love what I wore, not look back years from now wondering how I ever thought a certain trend was cute. So while these looks are dressed up and have fun with print and texture, I kept everything rooted in pieces that feel timeless rather than trendy.

Eengagement party dressing is one of my favorite categories: it’s dressed up, but not quiet as fancy as a rehersal dinner, so there’s room to have fun while still keeping it polished. Here are the five I keep coming back to.

Look 1: Gold, Head to Toe

This Milly dress is the kind of piece that does the heavy lifting on its own — that ivory and green/gold floral jacquard in a strapless column silhouette is so elegant without being fussy. I kept the jewelry in the same warm gold family: a sculptural open-swirl choker and matching spiral earrings from dehance, plus a pair of Missoma swirl studs layered in for extra shine. The Property

The second you arrive, umbria stops feeling like a region and starts feeling like a storybook. The whole road up to the property looks like it was pulled straight out of a castle fairytale, and that feeling never really left the entire stay. And it’s not a manufactured fairytale either. The castello itself dates back to 1050, meticulously restored over the years, so you’re actually staying inside a thousand years of history, not a version of one.

Our room was massive, with a coffee and espresso machine (be still my heart), complimentary cake, crackers, and fruit waiting for us, and a bed so luxurious i’ve been thinking about it since we left. The bathroom had a proper vanity tub. Every single detail felt considered, and once you learn why, it makes sense. The property’s owner is also its architect, and it shows. Everything in the room is custom made, down to the espresso machine, nothing off the shelf, nothing generic. That kind of intention is rare, and you can feel it the second you walk in.

And the service. I genuinely don’t know how to explain how special it was without sounding like i’m exaggerating. I promise i’m not.

The Activities

We packed a lot in, and every single thing was a highlight.

Horseback Riding through the olive groves and sunflower fields. One of the most beautiful mornings of my entire life.

Truffle Hunting through the woods, where we actually found truffles (with the help of a well trained pup), then turned around and had a full truffle lunch built around what we found. Pasta with truffle, gelato with truffle, course after course. I am not even a big truffle person and it was incredible.

Falconry, which I wasn’t sure i’d be into, but watching these birds up close ended up being one of the coolest, most unexpected parts of the trip.

E-Bikes Through the Property, which is hilly enough that the electric assist made all the difference. The property has multiple villas scattered throughout, and riding past all of them was so much fun. This is where the Beckhams, Ryan Seacrest etc have stayed btw and my good friend Ryan was there while we were btw we sat next to him at lunch!

A Cooking Class One Night, where we made fresh Saltimbocca (my fav), ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, bruschetta, ricotta crostini with grilled peaches, pan con tomate, and pistachio gelato, all from scratch. I think I had pistachio gelato four separate times on this trip. Consider me officially a pistachio gelato girl now.

And then, somehow, just as good as any of it was simply laying by the pool, tucked into pine trees with the castle right there in view, and bar torrino a few steps away for light lunches and drinks whenever you wanted them.

The Day Trip

We took a day trip to cortona, the cutest little town, did some shopping, and then did a wine tasting at a family run vineyard nearby called Fabrizio Dionisio. The couple who ran it were so warm and so proud of what they’d built. Their daughter’s artwork is actually what’s on the wine labels. Getting to see the whole process, from grape to bottle, made it even more special.

The Food, The Buffet, The Send Off

We ate at both restaurants on property, ristorante al castello, tucked right into the castle walls with a terrace looking out over the sunset, and ristorante alle scuderie, which has this sprawling garden setting with soaring ceilings and live music playing. Both completely different vibes, both incredible.

Every meal at reschio was genuinely amazing, but the breakfast buffet deserves its own paragraph. I am, unapologetically, a breakfast buffet girl on vacation. I will set an alarm for it. I will not miss it. And this one delivered every single morning.

Even on our last day, when we had to leave at 4am for our flight, they packed us boxes from the breakfast spread to take in the car. That’s the kind of detail that tells you everything about a place.

Oh, and the gym. Because yes, I am the girl who will still try to fit in a workout here and there on vacation. If you’ve traveled in europe much, you know hotel gyms are usually an afterthought, a treadmill and a prayer. Reschio’s was fully equipped, which meant I actually got a couple of (very quick) workouts in between all the Aperol spritzes and gelato.

The Verdict

I could keep going. There’s more i haven’t even gotten to. But the short version is this: Reschio doesn’t feel like a hotel, it feels like its own world, and I loved every second i got to spend in it. If you have the chance to go, go. It’s the most special place.

Already thinking about when I can go back but for now it’s a memory I’ll hold onto forever.

But then I started making my own list. And somewhere around the fifth or sixth line, something shifted.

Every single one forced me to actually name the way I operate. The things I like. The way I do life that maybe isn’t how everyone else does it. And instead of feeling silly writing them down, I started feeling something closer to proud. Like, oh, this is just mine. This is how I do it. And it works for me.

That’s the part nobody really talks about with this trend. It looks like a fun, low stakes format, just a list of niche opinions dressed up in a funny little phrase. But making it forces a kind of low key self acceptance exercise you didn’t sign up for. You’re sitting there typing out the specific, sometimes weird ways you move through life, and by the end of it you’re basically arguing yourself into being fine with all of it.

And honestly, that’s become bigger than the post itself. Will and I have started saying it to each other in real life now. We’ll be knee deep in some wedding planning spiral, going back and forth about a vendor or a timeline or some tiny detail that suddenly feels like the biggest decision of our lives, and one of us will just go, “kinda chic,” and it changes the whole tone of the moment. It takes something that could feel stressful or overly serious and gives it this little wink instead.

That’s honestly the best part of the whole thing. It doesn’t just make you feel more confident, it makes life feel less serious. It reminds you that the way you do things, the pace you move at, the things you care about that other people might not, none of that needs to be defended or explained. It’s just yours. And it’s a little funny. And that’s allowed.

So if you’ve seen this trend going around and thought it looked a little cringe too, I’d actually encourage you to try making your own list. Not for the post. Just for you. It’s a strange but genuinely effective way to remind yourself that however you’re doing life right now, and wherever you are in it, you’re allowed to be confident in that. Even if it’s kinda chic and kinda cringe at the same time.

So here is my list of the kinda chic to just say it how it is, and admit some truths about how I actually operate.

You all know my theory that summer is about color, and this edit brings that in a manageable way. Every one of these looks is a showstopper, but every piece also mixes and matches into so many other outfits. That’s what I love about color on color.

Pool, lunch, shopping, dinner — here’s everything I’d wear.

Look 1:

This one-shoulder paisley Alèmais dress in burgundy and pink is exactly the kind of piece that does all the work for you. I layered it with warm gold jewelry — a twisted rope choker with an amber stone, a Bulgari-style Tubogas wrap bracelet in rose quartz, and pear-shaped citrine drop earrings — and gold knotted kitten heels to finish it off.

But the real star here is the mini pouch. I actually saw this in Printemps in New York and it is the cutest thing — that pink beaded velvet drawstring bag is so special. The accessories in this whole look are fun and lively without being overpowering, which is exactly the balance I want for daytime in Italy.

Look 2:

I am obsessed with the colors in this one. The sage green fringe cami with the multicolor abstract print skirt is beautiful on its own, and paired with a golden tan, chef’s kiss. The gold hoop necklace with the cameo pendant and the mamaseye (new favorite brand) citrine hoop earrings keep it feeling collected rather than costume-y.

Savette makes the most beautiful colored bags, and this powder blue top-handle is no exception. I kept it casual with flat sandals here, but you could easily throw on heels to dress this whole look up for dinner.

Look 3:

The showstoppers in this one are the pink woven kitten heels — under $200 — and this amazing marigold clutch from Tuckernuck, under $100. Both are insane pieces for the price, and the clutch I ordered immediately. The Alèmais mustard tiered top and the rust-and-pink sunburst print skirt give you all the color payoff, and the burgundy woven bangles and choker tie the warm palette together without competing with the clutch.

Look 4:

This one is all about the accessories. The Double J print fringe pouch is so fun and versatile — it’s the kind of bag that turns a simple red top and embroidered linen shorts into a whole outfit. And these are my favorite sunglasses at the moment, I love Jimmy Fairly. The blue stone hoop earrings and brown knotted jelly sandals (under $100) round it out for an easy lunch-and-shopping look.

Look 5:

My friend Steph posted about this straw bag recently and I loved the shape, and the fact that it’s packable is amazing for travel. The striped bikini is from Anemos, which has quickly become one of my favorite brands — their suits are such a good fit. I added the cream kaftan cover-up, fish-bone drop earrings, amber round sunglasses, and beaded gladiator sandals for a poolside-to-lunch transition.

Look 6:

I was blown away by this fun bag I found on net-a-porter. Under $200? Are you kidding? Unbelievable, and honestly one of my best finds if I do say so myself — the tasseled, multicolor woven tote is the centerpiece of the whole outfit. I kept everything else simple: a powder blue ruched dress (that you can reware a million times, easy breezy), amber-tinted sunglasses, clear stone studs, the same burgundy pendant choker from Look 3, and gold strappy sandals, so the bag gets to do all the talking.

Look 7:

This bag shape is everything and more, and that chartreuse color makes it a dream bag — the cutout handle on that woven clutch is such a smart detail. It’s paired with a simple turquoise silk slip dress so the bag and the beaded pastel necklace can really shine. This Tory necklace stopped me in my tracks, it’s so intricate — all those tiny seed beads in pink, green, and blue woven together. Gold cufflink-style earrings and mint Aquazzura sandals keep the rest of it clean.

Look 8:

This is my version of a black outfit, where it still reads fun and exciting instead of flat. The asymmetric fringe top and the crochet circle mini skirt give it texture and movement, so it never feels like “just black.” I am obsessed with fans at the moment, and this cream and black fan with the black tassel is the whole reason this look exists. A black raffia clutch, oval brown-lens sunglasses, and knotted brown sandals round it out.

Look 9:

This blue beach look includes all my favorite colors right now — blues, greens, turquoise — and I just love how it all comes together. The sage bandeau top and the teal-and-olive print wide-leg pants are the base, and I layered a sheer navy kimono with a turquoise button closure over it. The marbled green cat-eye sunglasses, turquoise ball drop earrings, and the teal woven tote with the little tasseled charm all pull from the same palette, and the dusty blue tie-ankle sandals finish it off.

The Sauna Blanket

I resisted getting a sauna blanket for a long time because it felt excessive. I was wrong. The Higher Dose infrared sauna blanket has become one of my most-used wellness purchases. 1. Rose & Caramel Purity Excel Body Scrub

This product genuinely changed my self-tanner game. During the summer I’m self-tanning constantly — it’s basically a weekly (okay, sometimes more) ritual — and when a tan starts to fade, it doesn’t just disappear gracefully. It gets patchy, a little scaly, and kind of tragic-looking. You know what I mean. Before I found this, I was basically just layering new tanner on top of old tanner and wondering why the result looked off.

This scrub — which has been voted best self tan remover by Vogue, Women’s Home, and Marie Claire — actually breaks down the old pigment rather than just buffing at the surface. The key is the combination of perlite (a natural exfoliant that draws out impurities) and urea (a gentle chemical exfoliant that loosens the top layers of tan without drying your skin out). You mask it on dry skin, leave it for 60 seconds, then get in the shower and buff it away. Your skin comes out genuinely smooth, hydrated, and prepped for a fresh application. It works on any brand of self-tanner — mousses, lotions, spray tans, all of it. 86% of people reported at least 85% of their tan was completely removed in one use. 2. Exfoliating Mitt

Non-negotiable companion to the scrub above. The scrub is doing a lot of the work chemically, but this mitt is what physically lifts everything off and ensures there is not a single trace of old tanner left. The combination of the two is the reason I’ve never had a patchy re-application since I started using them together. It sounds like a simple thing but the difference between a regular washcloth and an actual exfoliating mitt is massive — the texture is specifically designed to grip and lift dead skin and old pigment in a way nothing else does. If you’re going to buy the scrub, get this too. They go together.

3. Slip Silk Hair Ties

My hair girl had to stage an intervention. I was doing what basically everyone does — grabbing whatever elastic was on the counter, throwing my hair up into a tight pony, and repeating that 10 times a day. The result? So much breakage. So many flyaways. So many little snapped pieces framing my face that I had absolutely not asked for.

She told me I was genuinely damaging my hair and needed to switch to silk immediately. Here’s why: regular elastics create friction against the hair cuticle, leading to snapping, tangling, and frizz over time. 5. Equip Protein Powder — Peanut Butter

I am very picky about protein powder. Most of them are chalky, or they taste artificial, or the flavor is aggressively sweet in a way that makes me not want to finish it. Equip is made from beef isolate protein, which sounds unusual but is genuinely one of the cleanest protein sources out there — no dairy, no soy, no whey. The peanut butter flavor specifically is so good mixed into Greek yogurt. It makes your afternoon yogurt bowl taste like a treat. I haven’t tried any of the other flavors but I don’t really need to. 6. Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Eye Patches

I wake up puffy. It’s just a fact of my life. Eye patches every morning is non-negotiable for me, and these are the ones that I keep coming back to — which is saying something because they’re genuinely not cheap. They’re packed with 24K gold and colloidal gold (which helps lift and firm the delicate under-eye area), hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed collagen for hydration, and caffeine to reduce puffiness. Clinically tested to show results after just one use — and I believe it. In 10-15 minutes, my under-eyes go from “did not sleep” to “did sleep” which is sometimes a lie but an effective one.

I keep mine in the fridge. Cold eye patches are a whole other experience — the cooling effect takes depuffing to another level and it genuinely feels like a little spa moment in the middle of getting ready. These are rarely on sale so I stock up whenever they are. Prime Day is the move.

7. Jelly Flip Flops

I have posted these so many times and I will keep posting them. Jelly flip flops are having a major moment and I fully understand why — they’re the sandal of the summer. Mine are comfortable, they look exactly like the more expensive designer versions that are everywhere right now, and they’re waterproof (great for the beach, the pool, wherever). My personal stance is that I am not spending a lot of money on plastic shoes. I just can’t do it. These give you the exact same look for a fraction of the price and I genuinely love them.

8. Ultima Electrolytes

A pack of these goes in my water every single day. I started using them earlier this year and I don’t know how I functioned without them before. They taste amazing (not fake-sweet, actually good), they’re zero calories, and I can tell the difference on days I don’t use them — I feel more tired and less sharp. They come in a ton of flavors and dissolve instantly. If you’re working out regularly, spending time outside in the heat, or just chronically under-hydrated (hello, that was me), these are genuinely worth it.

9. Portable Charger

I own three of these and I never leave the house without one. Never. The battery life lasts forever, it has every cord you could possibly need built in, and it’s the kind of thing where once you have it, you can’t remember how you survived the years of anxiously watching your phone die at 12% with no outlet in sight. 10. Diamond Studs

I have a real pair of diamond studs. I wear these instead.

That is genuinely the highest compliment I can give a piece of jewelry and I mean it completely. These are the Central Diamond Center studs — 925 sterling silver with 14K gold posts, round cut Swarovski zirconia stones set in a classic four-prong setting — and they look exactly like the real thing. The sparkle, the weight, the way they sit on your ear. I have put both pairs on and genuinely had to think about which was which.

Sometimes the anxiety of wearing something expensive constantly is real, and it takes some of the joy out of it. With these I just... don’t think about it. I put them in and forget about them. 11. Travel Cases

I recently got these for a trip and I’ve been obsessed with them ever since. I saw another creator post them and immediately ordered — they’re the kind of travel accessory that makes packing feel organized and a little luxurious rather than chaotic. They fit so much more than you’d expect, they come in really pretty colors, and they keep everything separated so you’re not digging through a makeup bag at 6am trying to find your mascara. A genuinely great find.

12. Saie The Big Brush

This brush. I talk about this brush constantly and I’m not stopping. I use it for foundation, for contour, for bronzer — it does everything. The bristles are dense and incredibly soft, which means application is seamless and blending is effortless. The difference between a good brush and a great brush is real, and this is a great brush. It’s on the pricier side for a makeup brush, but it’s genuinely worth it — especially now that it’s on sale. Once you use it you’ll understand.

13. Under Eye Color Corrector Concealer

WOW. I tested this against the Tarte Shape Tape (the OG color corrector concealer that has a cult following for a reason) and this $4 drugstore version genuinely holds its own. I was not expecting that. The coverage is comparable, it blends out the same way, and the color correction actually works. It’s $4. Four dollars. If your under-eye situation needs some help and you don’t want to spend a lot of money figuring out what works, start here.

14. Sacheu Beauty Lip Stain — NoOhde

I am obsessed with this lip stain. Sacheu’s stains use their STAY-N technology, which basically means the color is on your lips and it is not moving — no transfer, no fading, no touching up. The shade NoOhde specifically is gorgeous — a mauve-y nude-pink that makes your lips look amazing with genuinely zero effort. It’s the kind of color you put on and feel like you did something even when you did nothing. I wear this constantly.

15. Physicians Formula Bronzer

A longtime favorite that I went away from and then came back to and was immediately reminded why I loved it so much. This bronzer gives you the most natural, warm, sun-kissed color — nothing orange, nothing muddy, just exactly the right glow. I’ve been using it for years on and off and it’s one of those products where nothing fancy I tried could fully replace it. It’s buildable, it blends out beautifully, and it photographs so well. And it’s super affordable, which makes it even better.

16. L’Oréal Elvive Wonder Water Hair Rinse

If your hair is feeling dry, damaged, or just... tired, get this immediately. The Elvive Wonder Water uses something called lamellar technology — it’s actually the first drugstore haircare product to use it, originally developed for salon treatments. Essentially, it forms ultra-thin layers called lamellas over the hair’s surface that smooth and seal each strand, targeting dry and damaged areas specifically without weighing the rest of your hair down.

You use it in the shower after shampoo, massage it in for eight seconds, and rinse it out. That’s it. Within two washes I genuinely feel like my hair was freshly cut and healthy — even when it very much is not. It’s silicone-free, paraben-free, safe for color-treated hair, and a drugstore price. A no-brainer.

17. CeraVe Hydrating Toner

I’m oddly sensitive to a lot of toners — many of them strip my skin or cause irritation and I end up abandoning them after a few uses. But I like having a toner as a step because I feel like it’s important to actually make sure everything is off after cleansing, and a good toner preps your skin for what comes next. This CeraVe one is different because it’s genuinely hydrating — it has ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which is very much not standard toner territory. My skin doesn’t feel tight or dry after using it, it feels better. That’s rare and I appreciate it.

18. Beauty Blenders (Bulk Pack)

Beauty blenders have a shelf life. They get gross. The solution is buying in bulk so you can replace them often and never think about it. There’s something deeply satisfying about a fresh beauty blender — application is just better, foundation sits differently, everything looks more seamless. I’d rather spend less money more often than use the same sponge for six months and pretend it’s fine. The bulk pack is the move.

19. Lumify Eye Drops

I don’t go anywhere without these. Not an exaggeration. These are not fancy, they are not expensive, and they are wildly effective. Breakout? Patch. Done.

21. ARC Teeth Whitening Pen

White strips have never been my thing. They’re uncomfortable, the gel gets everywhere, you have to sit there for 30 minutes doing nothing while your teeth feel weird, and I never follow through consistently enough to see results. The ARC pen is everything white strips aren’t — you brush it on, let it set for a minute, and go about your life. The applicator makes it easy to get every surface, it doesn’t cause the same sensitivity, and it’s simple enough that I actually use it consistently. Facials — once a month, non-negotiable

I’ve been doing a monthly facial for a while now and it is one of those things where once you start, you can’t really go back. Especially in New York — the air here is just dirty. You don’t realize how much grime and pollution your skin is holding onto until someone gets in there and gets it out.

For a classic cleanse and hydration, I love Sofie Pavitt. Her facials are incredible — your skin just looks and feels completely different walking out. And for aquagold before big events, I go to The Brightwood Skin or Ject. Aquagold is one of those treatments that I think of as a skin event — it’s a micro-channeling treatment that delivers a custom cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and a bit of Botox just below the skin’s surface. The glow is immediate and it lasts. I already have appointments booked before my bach, my engagement party, and the wedding. Planned. Locked in. Done.

Brows — Sabria changed everything

I haven’t let anyone else touch my brows in six months and I will not be doing so. Good brows are genuinely one of those things that change your whole face — the lift, the framing, the way everything else looks more polished. I didn’t fully understand this until Sabria. Now I get it.

If you’ve been going from place to place and your brows have never quite been right, find your person and stay there. That’s the advice.

Moxi Laser — the treatment I wish I’d started years ago

Okay, this one. I havebeen waiting to talk about this.

I’m currently on my second of three Moxi sessions and by round two I genuinely felt like I had different skin. Not better skin — different skin. Clearer, more even, brighter. The texture of it is just fully so different. The kind of skin that makes people ask if you’ve been somewhere. You do three sessions a few weeks apart and then just upkeep every six months after that, so I started this winter knowing I’d be finished well before September. Next week is session three and I cannot wait.

Moxi is a non-ablative fractional laser, which basically means it resurfacing without the serious downtime of more aggressive treatments. There’s some redness and your skin gets a little textured (the “MENDS” stage, which is weirdly satisfying) but within a few days you’re just... glowing. I go to Dr. Jennifer Levine for this one and I trust her completely.

If you’ve been on the fence about trying a laser treatment, especially as a starting point, Moxi is the one I’d recommend. It’s the gateway, and it’s worth it.

Botox — always ask for movement, not frozen

I get Botox at The Brightwood Skin with Briana, and I have never once left looking or feeling like it was too much. I think that’s the fear most people have, and honestly it was mine too at first. But the key — and I mean this — is to tell your injector exactly that. Ask for movement. Ask for natural. Ask for the brow lift (always add the brow lift). Briana just gets it, she understands the assignment every time, and it always looks like the best, well rested version of me rather than a different version of me.

She takes into account the overall symmetry of your face rather than just treating one area in isolation. It makes a huge difference in how cohesive the result looks.

Under Eye PRP — two weeks in and I’m already converted

This one is newer for me. I just did my first round of under eye PRP with Corinne at GoTox two weeks ago, and even though it’s supposed to take about four weeks to fully kick in, I’m already seeing a difference in my dark circles. They’re almost unrecognizable at this point, which is wild.

For anyone who isn’t familiar — PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It’s a minimally invasive, regenerative treatment that uses your own blood components (yes, your own blood — don’t panic, it’s a tiny amount and they spin it down to isolate the growth factors) to stimulate collagen, reduce fine lines, and brighten the under-eye area. Because it’s your own biology doing the work, it’s incredibly safe and the results build over time.

I went into it knowing dark circles are something I’ve always dealt with and feeling like I’d tried every eye cream on the market. This is the first thing that’s actually moved the needle. Will be doing another round closer to the wedding.

Supplements — skin health starts in the gut

I want to end here because I think this is genuinely the most underrated part of any skincare routine, and I say that as someone who spent years focusing almost entirely on what I was putting on my skin rather than what was happening inside.

Please don’t neglect your gut health. I mean it. If your gut is off, all the facials and lasers in the world are going to work overtime to undo what’s happening from the inside, and that’s just not a battle worth fighting.

What I’m taking right now:

Seed probiotic — I’ve been on this for a while and it’s the one I always come back to. The research behind it is actually legit, which matters to me.

Cymbiotika glutathione — glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants your body produces, and it’s deeply connected to skin brightness and evenness. Supplementing it has been a big piece of the “why does your skin look like that” puzzle for me lately.

JS Health magnesium — sleep is skin. Full stop. Magnesium helps me wind down at night and I notice a real difference in how my skin looks when I’m sleeping well versus when I’m not.

Skin health is one of those things that rewards consistency and patience more than almost anything else. None of what I’ve shared above happened overnight — it’s been months of showing up for myself, trying things, figuring out what works, and staying the course. But with September getting closer, I feel like I’m really starting to see it all come together, and that’s genuinely such a good feeling.

In DMs, in comments, from friends who notice something has shifted. And it has. Something really has shifted this past year, not just in how I look but in how I feel, and I’ve been trying to put into words what actually changed.

So here it is. The honest version. No fluff.

First — the morning thing

Anyone who knows me knows I am not myself without my morning movement. Like, noticeably not myself. It’s not a discipline thing at this point, it’s just — I’ve accepted that this is how I’m wired and I’ve stopped fighting it. I will always be a morning workout girl.

Part of it is the endorphins, obviously. But more than that, it’s the only hour of the day that is completely, entirely mine. Nobody is texting me. Nobody is calling or emailing. I’m not on my phone. In fact, I have it on DND. And with this job, where being reachable and on is kind of always the expectation, that window of time before the world starts asking things of me is everything. It’s the closest thing I have to meditation.

My ideal morning looks like: workout, then a walk. I could genuinely walk all day. There’s something about it that just clears my head in a way nothing else does — and the 12k+ steps adds up more than you’d think.

Running — less really is more

I used to run a lot. Like, a lot a lot. I thought logging miles was the answer and that more always meant better. What I didn’t realize was that running that much was working against me — the cortisol, the stress it was putting on my body, I was actually holding onto more weight than I wanted to.

So I pulled back. Now I run twice a week, two to three miles each time, just to get my heart rate up and get a good sweat in. And honestly? I enjoy it so much more. I look forward to it. It went from feeling like an obligation to feeling like a treat. That shift alone was worth everything.

FORM — my everyday staple

I am a FORM girl, full stop. This app changed things for me more than anything else I’ve tried.

When I first started getting into weight training I was nervous about it in the way a lot of women are — worried I’d bulk up, not sure where to start, intimidated by the whole thing. And then I saw Sami Clarke’s body and every bit of hesitation I had just dissolved, I mean who wouldn’t want to look like her! I ordered 10lb weights, cleared space in my apartment, and started doing her videos from home. And I noticed a difference faster than I had from anything else. Years of Pilates, tons of running, body weight exercises thinking anything else would bulk me — none of it moved the needle the way this did.

I do 30–60 minutes almost every day. Sami’s upper body classes are my personal favorite, and Grace Freyre is my go-to for sculpt on weekends when I want to mix it up.

For travel, The Sculpt Society with Megan Roup is the move — so many of her workouts need little to no equipment, which means staying consistent on the road is actually doable. I mix it in at home too just for variety.

Solidcore — my Friday ritual

Once a week, every Friday. Solidcore.

My rule for classes is that it’s only worth the money if you genuinely can’t replicate it at home — and reformer-based Pilates is exactly that. The resistance, the instability, the way it pushes your muscles into ranges of motion you’d never find on your own. It never gets easier, which is literally the point. Worth every penny, every time.’

Heated workouts — the reset I didn’t know I needed

Ethea in Tribeca has become a recent obsession. Infrared heated sculpt and strength classes — the sweat is insane and honestly it feels like a full body detox every time. There’s something about working your muscles in that heat that just hits. Fuze House is another one I love for the same reason. I try to get to one every other week and I always sleep so well that night. If you’ve never tried a heated workout, go at least once just to see how you feel after.

Supplements that actually do something

The supplement space is noisy and most of it is just noise. But a few things have genuinely made a difference:

Kion Aminos + Bloom Creatine — these two together changed my body. I heard about Kion on the Him & Hers podcast (the episode with the founder — I’ll link it, please listen) and once I understood the science, I was sold. Mixed with creatine, this is the combination that finally got me seeing real muscle definition. I sip them in my water throughout my workout. When I’m traveling I use the Arrae creatine gummies, which are so easy to throw in a bag, they also taste like candy so.

Electrolytes — every single day, workout or not. I alternate between Ultima and LMNT. Here’s something I genuinely didn’t fully understand until recently: we naturally dehydrate overnight, and then most of us drink coffee first thing, which dehydrates us more. Electrolytes aren’t just an athlete thing. They’re for anyone who wants to feel like a functioning human.

I also do Promix debloat after bigger meals — both easy, both actually work.

Protein — the real game changer

Okay. This is the big one.

Above everything else I’ve shared, this is what changed how I look and feel the most. And I say that as someone who has always been active, always worked out, and spent years wondering why I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted.

It was protein.

I aim for at least 130 grams a day. When I first started I tracked it — not in an obsessive way, but because I genuinely had no idea what I was actually eating. I thought throwing chicken on a salad had me covered. It did not. Tracking for a bit (until I understood it well enough that I could stop) was one of the most educational things I’ve done. Once I understood it, I stopped — I didn’t want food to become something stressful — but that initial awareness completely changed how I approach eating.

Every morning I have a yogurt bowl with Equip Foods Peanut Butter flavor protein or Ballerina Farm Maple Cinnamon/Vanilla powder. That combination has been in my rotation for almost two years. Since really prioritizing protein: I’m less puffy, more defined, I have more energy, I feel stronger, and I eat more than I ever have. When you’re fueling yourself properly, the cravings for everything else just quiet down. You stop chasing.

And then there’s balance

I want to end here because I think it’s actually the most important part of all of this.

None of this is about perfection. It’s not about hitting every single metric every day or never missing a workout or being rigid about any of it. The times I’ve felt my best have always been the times I’ve stopped white-knuckling my routine and just let myself live inside of it.

One off day doesn’t derail me. One week away doesn’t undo months of consistency. When things feel out of whack, I come back to the basics: walk, get my protein in, be kind to myself. That’s honestly it. The rest tends to fall back into place on its own.

There are cities you visit, and cities that visit you right back. Charleston is the latter. Every time I land there, something shifts — the air is warmer, the pace is slower, and everyone seems genuinely happy to be wherever they are. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to put your phone down and just be — which, as someone whose job is basically to never put her phone down, says a lot. Will and I just got back from our most recent trip and I’m already counting down to the next one. Here’s everything, because you asked (and because I genuinely cannot stop talking about it).

Where We Stayed

We stayed at the French Quarter Inn, and if you haven’t been — add it to the list immediately. It’s right in the heart of the historic district, which means you can walk to basically everything, and honestly the location alone would be enough. But then they go and do a complimentary wine and cheese hour every evening at 5pm, and now I don’t know how to stay anywhere else. There is something so civilized and perfect about wrapping up a day of exploring, coming back to the hotel, pouring a glass of wine, and just breathing before dinner. It became our favorite ritual of the trip. The property itself is beautiful — classic Charleston charm, warm staff, the whole thing.

What I Wore

Charleston has a vibe and it is preppy. Like, cheerfully, unapologetically, colorfully preppy — and as you can imagine, I am fully here for it. I packed almost exclusively dresses and linen sets, which felt exactly right. The city calls for something pretty but easy: you’re walking cobblestone streets, sitting on porches, popping in and out of little boutiques — you want to look cute but you also need to be able to move. Where I Shopped

Julia Amory is a store I could genuinely live in. Everything is beautiful — the colors, the prints, the fabrics — and it all just makes sense for Charleston. It’s the kind of boutique that feels like it was made specifically for this city. I left with way more than I planned to (no regrets).

Club Coastal was one of my favorite discoveries of this trip. They have a charm bar where you can build your own necklaces and bracelets, and I easily could have spent the entire afternoon in there. I made the cutest little necklace and bracelet combo — it was such a fun, interactive thing to do and felt like a totally unique Charleston experience. If you’re going, block time for this. Don’t just pop in. Commit, go with friends or make for your friends, they make such fun personal gifts too!

Beckett Boutique also needs a mention — the curation is just so good. The kind of place where everything feels intentional and you want to buy the whole rack.

Where We Ate (The Important Part)

Let me just get this out of the way: 167 Raw is my favorite restaurant. Not just in Charleston — maybe anywhere. I have been multiple times and I will go every single time I visit for the rest of my life. My personal order is the pastrami swordfish sandwich, which I know sounds completely unhinged, but I am begging you to trust me on this. It is the most unique, perfectly executed thing I have ever eaten. I cannot fully explain it — you just have to get it. Will is a tacos guy there and those are also incredible. If you go to Charleston and don’t eat here, I don’t know what to tell you.

Post House is another favorite — beautiful restaurant, incredible burger, and it’s tucked into the sweetest little neighborhood that’s worth wandering around before or after your meal. It’s a nice break from the busier parts of downtown and has such a cozy, unpretentious feel.

Leon’s Oyster Bar is the move for a more casual option. The vibe is unmatched — it’s fun and laid-back and the food is just as good as the more “fancy” spots. It never disappoints.

And for drinks, the rooftop bar at The Dewberry is not to be missed. We went for an afternoon spritz and stayed longer than planned (obviously). The views of the city are stunning and it has this old-school glamour feel that I absolutely love. Perfect sundowner spot.

The Moment

For Will’s birthday, I surprised him with a boat ride through Mariners Club, and it ended up being one of my favorite things we’ve done together on a trip. We went out right before dinner, so the light was perfect and the city looked unreal from the water. It was this really magical cocktail hour moment — champagne, the Charleston skyline, just the two of us. Seeing a city from the water always gives you a completely different perspective, and it felt like a little gift to both of us. Highly, highly commend surprising your person with this. They even set it up with birthday decorations, it was adorable and so memorable.

Charleston, I’ll be back soon — I say that every time and I always mean it.

Last year, that tradition took us to Charleston. And I don’t say this lightly when I tell you we fell hard for the city. Hard enough that, by the end of the trip, Charleston quietly moved from “great weekend away” to “very real contender for where we could actually see ourselves living.”
