Evidence is usually used to prove the existence and truthfulness of something. Without the provision of concrete evidence in court, one can likely lose a case. In a criminal trial, evidence plays a major role in establishing facts and determining whether the accused is guilty or innocent.

An amazing individual in my life will always say, “God sees your heart, but men see your acts.”

In court, the judge will not listen to, “God sees my heart that I didn't do it. I didn't do it, I'm innocent!” The judge will ask you to prove it. Your evidence will be demanded and it will determine whether you are innocent or not.

Evidence plays a crucial role in the world we live in because humans respond mainly to what they can see. We are so quick to act based on visible results and that's because things we see forms a major part of our living, except that God is holding us all together.

So, because we live in a world where people act and judge based on results, it's quite important that we produce lots of it especially in our walk with God. Evidence will always push people to believe in what you are doing. There has to be something to show for it and this will bring many more people in.

Jesus has not called us to be followers without bearing fruit. The sign that a tree is growing is seen in the fruit it bears. John 15:5 says;

[5] “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Emphasis on “He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit.”

The fruit is the evidence and that is what people see. That's how they can tell whether you are a true follower of Christ. The disciples were first called ‘Christains’ in the Syrian city of Antioch and this is because the people saw that they were Christlike.

There was a great difference in the lifestyle of the disciples and the people of Antioch could tell they were followers of Christ.

Let your heart and act be made right. Don't let your act contradict what is in your heart.

Another thing that struck me was what happened with Peter and John. Let's see Acts 4:13 TPT;

Did you take note of “they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them ?”

Peter and John were uneducated and untrained men, but that didn't matter because they had the Jesus effect. The Jesus effect produced boldness and courage for them to face the Sanhedrin.

Dear friend, what about you? Can men see the Jesus effect in your life? In your weaknesses, can they see the Jesus effect? In your words and actions, can they see the Jesus effect? In your academics, marriage, ministry, place of work, can men see the Jesus effect?

The Jesus effect makes the wilderness become a fruitful field and the fruitful field becomes a mighty forest.

Matthew 5:16; “let your light so shine before men, that they may see…”

What are men seeing in your life? I hope they are seeing the Jesus effect?

Peter and John didn't have to announce that they had been with Jesus, men could see that they had been with Him. When you walk with Jesus, we will know. It will be evident.

You cannot truly walk with Him and produce bad fruit. Your fruit will always be good because everything that God made was good.

And when it becomes evident, all glory must return back to God. Continuation of Matthew 5:16; “…that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.”

So, the evidence is to glorify Him, not you. The evidence is to point all men back to God. The evidence is to further make known the glory to God. The evidence is for men to believe in the One and only true God. The evidence is for His name to be lifted high.

🎶 Give me substance, give me proofs, give me presence, give me You. Let it show that I met with You.🎶

Above all, give us YOU, Lord. Let it show that we met with You. We need You more than ever before. You are enough for us, You are more than enough. You are all that matter Lord Jesus. When we have you, we have everything.

When you give us YOU, that addiction will break. The lying spirit will fly out. Those weaknesses will fizzle out. We will become new again. We will be refreshed. We will be strengthened.

When we have YOU, our prayer and study life will not be a routine or mere performance, there will be fire, transformation and we will bear much fruit.

Dear friend, we are going to be working with my imagination and I want you to follow me closely. Here's the gist; I imagined hosting a podcast session with my friends where they get to interview me about the journey of writing 100 letters.

⚠️ Please note: it's only the podcast setting that is imaginary. My friends and the questions they asked are not imaginary. I actually reached out to them in reality. Thank you!

The whole idea of this podcast session is to mark, reflect, and review my experience during the course of the 100 letters journey.

The name of the podcast platform is:

G.C.D stands for Global Creative Dee.

In this session, I have with me, three amazing friends of mine; Isabel, Amos and O-David.

To paint a picture of these three great personalities in your mind;

Think of Isabel as someone who's quite inquisitive and has a brilliant mind. She's eager to learn and always intellectually engaged.

Think of Amos as the cool and smart guy, who's purpose driven and resiliently motivated.

Think of O-David as the observer and intricately wise guy. He loves depth and precision.

Our podcast is styled like a round table discussion. No distant interviews. No stiff studio energy. We sat near each other in a cozy circle, mics positioned close to our mouths, like friends who just happen to be recording. It’s an honest, unfiltered conversation, the way podcasts were meant to feel.

I turned on my mic and started to speak…

G.C.D: Thank you Isabel, Amos and O-David. I'm grateful for your time and presence. It truly means a lot to do this with you guys. It's been quite a journey, writing hundred letters but I'm grateful to the God of my journey. I believe you guys are ready for me, with your questions?

“Yessssss!!!” They all chorused. Isabel wants to go first…

Isabel: Why did you start writing Creative Dee? What's the story behind it?

I chuckled slightly because I had written a letter on “the Genesis of Creative Dee”. You can get it HERE.

Isabel: Ohh! I will check that out immediately. Let another person proceed.

O-David: What was your starting like? Especially at the time you wrote your first, second, third? Share with us what you had in mind during these times (good and bad).

G.C.D: Hmm! The early days of my writing were quite chaotic (😭😂). Especially because it was never my thing in the first place. I just started based on obedience. My WhatsApp status was the first platform. I remember when I began to write, certain people in my space started giving comments like; “you are into writing? You know people don't like reading. They have short attention span especially if the write up is too long.”

I knew they were talking from a place of concern and didn't mean any harm. But I said to myself, ‘is it not too early to start listening to people? I know what God has said and I'm going to obey. Besides, I'm not doing this for the engagement or applause of men. I'm doing this for the audience of “The One” and He knows exactly what to do with the letters.’ That was it for me.

In those same early days, my fellowship President, Pst Daniel, reached out to tell me there was something quite unique about my write ups and encouraged me not to stop.

Amos: What was your drive for writing?

G.C.D: Holy Spirit was and will always be my drive for writing. I started writing because He prompted me to.

Isabel: Do you always know what to write?

G.C.D: A very big question (😂)! I don't always know what to write. I mostly depend on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to guide me through. Besides, my writings are sponsored by the Spirit. I try not to lean on my own understanding, given my genre of writing. I don't just write what I feel like, I write as He leads. He knows what's needed for me to release per time and per season. I'm just partnering with His agenda.

Amos: Do you write based on discipline or inspiration?

G.C.D: I would say both. Inspiration is like the starting point but discipline keeps me going. As much as the Holy Spirit inspires me to write, He will never force me to write. I stay disciplined by yielding to His promptings, especially when I don't feel like it. God will never force His will on a man, He only needs men who will continually say YES.

O-David: Do you re-read your Substack letters after a number of days?

G.C.D: Yes, I do that a lot and I get tremendously blessed. Some of the letters feel like I wrote prophetically to myself. I will go back and think “did I actually write this?” I'm always in awe and grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Because without Him, there would be no G.C.D letters.

Isabel: What impact has Creative Dee done in your life and how have you grown in your walk with God since you started writing Creative Dee?

I shifted slightly in my seat…

G.C.D: Let me take a deep breath. This is a very deep and emotional question for me. Creative Dee has impacted me greatly because it gave me a sense of stewardship. Like I always say, I don't see Creative Dee as myself, but as a platform God has given me to steward. It has taught me that consistency is the way of a man God uses. It has opened my eyes to what it means for God to trust a man.

Ever since I started writing Creative Dee, my walk with God took a quantum leap. I became highly sensitive and conscious of His workings in my life. I began to know what He wanted me to do per time and season. John 10:27; ‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” began to make sense to me. It's a privilege to know the voice of the Father.

Amos: What was the hardest thing you have experienced in your journey of writing on Substack?

G.C.D: Well, it's the fluctuation in the number of subscribers (😂). But who cares anyways. The main goal is to keep writing.

Isabel: Do you always feel like writing? Have there be times you wanted to give up?

G.C.D: I don't always feel like writing. There were times I felt dry and wanted to give up, but God always insisted on me. And, because I feel dry doesn't mean my ink should go dry. In this writing journey, I have learnt not to work by my feelings. My feelings wouldn't have brought me this far. I will still write anyway. That is why I don't believe in writer's block. It only happens when you don't want to write imperfectly. When you demand perfection before you write, you block yourself. But when you give yourself permission to write imperfectly, the block disappears. Always remember that perfection is a journey, not a starting point.

Amos: Writing close to 100 articles is a big thing. What kept you consistent and what do you want your writing to accomplish in the life of your readers?

G.C.D: God kept me consistent. Always supplying me with words needed in every season. It would have been so selfish of me not to be in sync with His consistency. One of the major things I want my writing to accomplish in the life of my readers is Transformation. Something that happens inside-out and leaves evidence. That they become so renewed in their minds and spirits, making it difficult for their old lives to contain their new lives. Most importantly, I want them to see Jesus.

O-David: Reaching this milestone, what did it really take you and what price did you have to pay?

G.C.D: Hmm! It took me consistent obedience to God and paying the price of dying to ‘self’ on a daily basis. Because, it was never about me but about The One who has called me.

Isabel: Has Creative Dee connected you to people?

G.C.D: The Scripture, Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV;

[19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

[20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

By the special grace of God, during the course of writing these 100 letters, souls were won and I was able to disciple them for sometime. I was able to connect and collaborate with 24 Authors on Substack on a Christmas post themed, “With Jesus, There is No Seizure.” You can get it HERE. Also, it has connected me to a community of people of which I hold a leadership position and our main goal is to “Influence the Influencers.”

O-David: We bless God for this feat. What experiences or lessons before/during/after writing really showed you that this writing journey can never be without God at anytime?

G.C.D: From the very beginning, I knew I could never do this without God because writing was never really my thing in the first place. He has held my hands through every single piece I have written.

What really confirms it for me are the testimonies. I once got a long VN from a friend after she read my post “Imagination: The Engine That Drives You To Nations.” You can get it HERE. She told me she had just finished praying with the letter and could finally imagine a glorious future for herself. Her voice sounded like she has cried too. Moments like that remind me that only God could have done this.

Amos: Here is our final question. One advice for Christian article writers?

G.C.D: Just be faithful in what God has asked you to do. Don't give room for compromise. Don't be a people pleaser. It's better to please God, than to please men. Don't be a performer, be a real one. Know when to respond and when to stay silent. Because responding is about truth, silence is about timing. Not every question deserves an answer, not every insult deserves a reply.

Observe due diligence, like a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Keep your focus on Jesus, every other thing will align.

I was on the verge of giving up and just letting it go. I thought to myself, “maybe I heard wrongly or it wasn't God who spoke to me.” It was a very difficult season for me and I felt heavy in my spirit. I would cry myself to sleep most of the time. I prayed so hard. I even called some of my friends to intercede for me.

Deep down in my spirit, I was so sure of what God had said, and He is not a man that He should lie. I kept holding on to His word and warring with it in the place of prayer.

Then one afternoon, God spoke to me through His word. Hebrews 10:35-38 NLT. Please read carefully;

[35] So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!

[36] Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

[37] “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

[38] And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”

Step 1 is never to stop trusting God. Step 2 is patience and endurance to keep doing His will.

I love the MSG translation of our main message. Hebrews 10:38-39;

Apart from the fact that those who quit on what matters don't win, we won't quit because quitting doesn't please God. It is not part of His plan for us.

You don't quit on what you believe God has told you, because His word is what keeps you moving.

To fulfill all that God has purposed for your life, you always have to be in motion. Motion happens in time and in this Kingdom, our time is in two dimensions; Chronos and Kairos.

A moving man in Chronos will soon meet his Kairos.

Why?

Because within the Chronos of his life, lies his Kairos.

Chronos comes from the Greek word for time. It is always counting in order, like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on. It is the chronological flow of time and it is linear in nature. Once it passes, it never comes back. That is why you will never experience July 16, 2026 again.

Kairos is also from the Greek word for time. It is a divinely appointed moment. A defining season where something God has ordained ought to happen. It is the critical moment to take action and seize an opportunity. When it comes, you have to discern it.

Sometimes, tough circumstances may pressure you to quit in Chronos so you don't meet your Kairos. They may push you to let go of God's word so you don't obtain His promise.

You didn’t stop because you failed. You failed because you stopped. A moving man is always on his feet, so he remains undefeated.

Quitting drains you of all you can become in God. It keeps you at the barest minimum of all He has designed for your life.

Just imagine if Jesus had quit on His way to the crucifixion. He wouldn’t fulfill His main purpose on earth, and we wouldn't be redeemed or called the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Quitting doesn't just deprive you of your own destiny; it affects the souls and destinies attached to your life. ~GlobalCreativeDeeSaid.

So instead of quitting, trust God through the process, hold on to His word and keep believing. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart.

Your heart needs to be strengthened because out of it flow the issues of life. Right now your heart is fainting, and it’s affecting your faith. Strengthen it by waiting on His word and meditating on the track record of His goodness. You already know what He has done in your life. Start reminding yourself.

And yes, back to our initial story, I did receive what I was trusting and waiting on God for in that season. The experience taught me that God can be trusted and as long as we don't quit, He will always come through for us.

Dear friend, I believe you have learnt one or two things today and I hope you will never quit on what God has told you.

This test is not to take away your conviction but to further strengthen your “why” you believe. If this statement has been rooted deep inside of you or it's just a mere belief.

It is highly important not to lose touch on the goodness of God, especially in the times when the situation doesn't look good. The job interview might not have gone the way you expected, but God is still good. Maybe the role you were assigned to in the office wasn't what you were expecting, it doesn't change the fact that God is good to you.

You might not have everything figured out yet, God is good. That job is now a thing of the past? God is still good.

How can you further strengthen your conviction of this statement? It's by having a heart posture of thanksgiving. David wrote in Psalms 34:1;

I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

David didn't just write this statement, he lived it. It was more than just a mere belief for him, it was a strong conviction. At all times didn't become sometimes, continually didn't become occasionally.

Do you still thank God at all times? Is His praise continually in your mouth?

I hope your thanksgiving hasn't become an occasional thing, only when you feel that the Lord has done you well. I hope you still thank God both in the good and bad times.

You might be going through a tough time now, but don't stop thanking the Lord. You are not where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be either. That's something to thank God for.

We know that the goodness of God is constant and not variable. But what about you, is your thanksgiving constant?

It's beyond just saying “Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus!” Thank you Jesus for what exactly? Name or state what He has done for you.

If you don't even have any reason to thank God, think about the breath in your lungs that hasn’t stopped for 1 second. The One who daily loads you with this benefit deserves to be praised continually. He doesn't give you this breath sometimes, He gives you at all times.

If He were to measure when to give you breath in your lungs by the number of times you have thanked Him, would you still be alive?

Maybe it has become so bad that you don't thank God again. Even when good things happen, you don't thank Him. You have normalized every blessing. Maybe it's forgetfulness that has eaten deep into your soul. You forgot how he brought you out the miry clay and set your feet upon a rock.

I think we trivialize thanksgiving a lot. The moment when what happens doesn't match our expectations, we usually don't see the need to give thanks again. But thanksgiving is supposed to be a lifestyle. Somehow it has become distant, a "far-style" instead. This is not supposed to be.

Thanksgiving shouldn't be far from us; it should always be on our lips.

Beyond what He gives, can you thank Him for who He is. God is good and He is always working everything out for your good.

I want you to take 15 minutes of your time today to thank God. You can also write down the things you are grateful for. I hope you will do so.

I will leave you with this word. Psalms 34:8;

O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

Why?

Because fruits lack essential nutrients like proteins, healthy fats, calcium, and vitamin B12. Relying solely on them can lead to muscle wasting, organ damage, and immune system failure. Dietitians and medical experts strongly advise against fruit-only diets.

Please note: This letter does not negate the importance of fruits. Fruit is good for the body. I'm going somewhere, stay with me.

Fruits are supplements, they are not the real deal. They won't be able to sustain you for a long time. There's a reason why good food is mainly essential for your growth.

Lack of food can lead to certain diseases like; Kwanshoirkor, marasmus, anemia, scurvy and the likes.

Food was made to foster healthy growth and development. But, this letter goes beyond the debate between fruit and food. I told you all that to say this; you can't survive only on supplements in your walk with God, you need to eat good and this is not about food.

I Kings 19:7 NKJV;

[7] And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”

Yes, I know it was food the angel fed Elijah when this statement was made, but I'm not talking about food in its actual sense today. I'm talking about all you can draw from God when you stay in His presence. It is also a form of eating but it is spiritual.

I remember the time we had a 20 days program in church last year and during one of the days, the sermon my pastor preached resonated so much with me that I felt very full in my belly. I didn't feel hungry even when I got home. I knew I had eaten well spiritually for the day. It was so heartwarming and I will never forget in my life.

I have also noticed that most times when I study my Bible, I don't usually feel hungry. I feel full like I have eaten normal food. Then this Scripture came alive to me. Matthew 4:4; “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

ERV says; It's not just bread that keeps people alive. Their lives depends on what God says.

But how will you know what God says, if you do not stay and eat(this is not about food) in His presence. I'm not talking about taking in the supplements. I'm talking about voracious eating.

In Yoruba, I will say; Óunjẹ yapa láti jẹ níwájú Ọlọ́run, wá jẹun.

Meaning; There’s so much to eat in the presence of God, come and eat.

There is a lot to feast on but you are not eating. You are just coming and going without eating well enough. God has seen that the journey is far and the way you are eating won't sustain you in the long run. It all depends on your hunger.

How hungry are you to really eat in His presence?

Hunger is the appetite needed to eat. You will need it to continually stay fed. The level of your hunger determines how you eat.

You must have heard, a hungry man is an angry man. A hungry man is also an angry man in the Spirit; He doesn't take nonsense, He fights anything that comes between him and God, He pursues intimately after God and seeks His presence at all times.

The more you hunger, the more you get filled up. I pray that the Lord blesses you with the hunger for Him.

It is important you eat now so your growth will not be stunted. What you eat now will determine whether you will survive in the long run.

For example, the food a new born baby is expected to take for the first 6 months is the breast milk of the mother or the alternative EFF(exclusive formula feeding). This is very important. No other milk, water, honey or solid foods are required.

The first six months is a very crucial stage and if the baby doesn't take in the breast milk or EFF, it is very dangerous for the growth of the baby.

When we say eat now, it's not because God will stop feeding you. It is a never ending feast, but what you will eat now is very much important for your journey. What you eat now will build you up and carry you for the next phase.

You need to develop on milk before you can eat meat. Don't despise your milk days.

I Peter 2:2 NKJV;

[2] as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.

In your spiritual walk, you can't grow adequately without the milk of God's word.

His word is needed for your spiritual growth and development.

TPT says; In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life.

God is saying;

Eat now, just eat. Never lose your hunger!

This second half of the year, I pray you grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. May you continually feast at His table and may He bless you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, Amen!

She didn’t feel comfortable in her own skin because the words of the body-shamers had stung her deeply. They always had one thing or the other to say about her body. They'd complained that she was too petite and slender.

She was not just body-shamed by the guys, even some girls were involved. Once, she tried taking pills that would change the narrative, but it almost cost her life. God really did save her.

Still, she felt imperfect. She felt something needed to be done or maybe she just needed to seek knowledge, not of men, but of the One who created her. She wanted to ask questions on why He created her like this.

On a random Tuesday, Audu, the class menace posted in the class group;

Laughing emojis started rolling in. A few others didn't find it funny though. That statement broke Adeola in no small way. She turned off her phone and just stared blankly into the space.

“Adeola, your body is not tea. It is my temple.” the still small voice said to her. She recognized that voice. It was the same voice she’d heard years back, the one that called her back to order when she was about to lie about a major issue.

Truthfully, she knew she had not being walking diligently with the Lord. She just knew Him from afar, but He had always been with her, drawing her close to Him.

“Is that you, Lord?” Adeola whispered, her voice breaking.

“Yes, now listen.” The still small voice started speaking…

You can't control what people say to you, but you can definitely control how their words should get to you.

You have the power to decide whether to let in negative words, or they shouldn't even get to you at all if you are walking in the consciousness of who I have created you to be.

The reason why negative words hurt you is because you let them in and you have not started seeing yourself as a reflection of who I am. You should already know that you are beautiful and it doesn't matter what the world says, but what the WORD says matter a lot.

And what does it say? I Corinthians 6:19 NKJV;

[19] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

It was not written, “do you not know that your body is tea.”

The word for “temple” in that scripture is naos and it means “to dwell.” Your body is my dwelling place, not a place of lust.

Whether you add flesh or not, it's not a criteria for being good enough or beautiful. Whether you are thin or fat, the world will still talk. Why? Because the world has this picture of perfection in their heads and that is why you will hear them say, “don’t be too thin or fat, just be normal.”

But, what exactly is the definition of ‘normal?’

Their normality is very abnormal in my eyes, and my normality is very abnormal is their eyes.

Who are they to define what ‘perfection’ really is? I made you and I clearly know what perfection is.

You can decide to add flesh, fine. You can decide to slim down, also fine. But, your ‘why’ is very important to me. Are you doing it because of what people said or because you genuinely want that for yourself with no negative strings attached.

Psalms 139:13-14 AMP;

[13] For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

[14] I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

Emphasis on “and my soul knows it very well.” Does your own soul know this well?

You just have to know that you are beautiful, regardless of what anyone says. I want the knowledge of you being my reflection sink deep into you. If anyone calls you ugly, it is a very dirty lie. You can't be ugly because you are my image.

“Hmm! Precious Holy Spirit, thank you. Please help me to walk intimately with you. I don't know what I would have done without you. The kind of light that just hit me with these words, I can't even explain. It feels like a veil has been lifted from my eyes. Now I see clearly.” Adeola continued speaking…

If people say I'm too short, it means they are too short-sighted to see God's image.

If people say I'm too thin, it means they have a thin knowledge of God's beauty.

Then she turned to no one in particular…

If people say you are too fat, it means they have a robust ignorance of God's handwork.

If people say you are too tall, then it means the height of God's standard is too high for them to reach.

“Whooshhh! I feel so light and joyful in my spirit. I can't even explain it.” Adeola exclaimed.

Someone might say, “you have taken ‘your body is tea’ so seriously too? It's not that deep now. Ah!”

Well, dear friend, it is that deep. Because that is not what the word of God says.

The world is so quick to present many things that negates God's word and if we do not call these things out, we will begin to accept it as a norm and even joke about it, when it is actually not funny.

Appreciate the beauty of your body and glorify God in your body. Do not turn it to a subject of lust.

Your body is His temple and it is very sacred.

Also, let's stop body-shaming people. It's not a good thing. You really don't know what the weight of your unpleasant words does to a person. Words are like eggs. Once spoken, they crack and no apology can scoop the yolk back into the shell.

The concept of faith is not ‘look before you leap,’ it is ‘leap, then look!’ You really don't have to explain it. That's God for you. He is wonderful like that.

I have found myself in situations that left me hanging on the thread of faith. Situations that will test whether you truly believe those Bible verses you quote. In fact, you do not know the weight of some verses, until they start to play out for you in real life.

If you truly believe, you must begin to wield them. Life can get so intense that it will make you question some of your life decisions, whether it is truly God's will for your life. But God said you should walk on that path, now it feels like you don't know if you heard correctly.

This is when your faith comes in. You must speak and not be silent, refuse to take ‘no’ for an answer, and wage war with the word that has gone ahead of you.

Do you know why fear, doubt, anxiety , worry and the likes, are all easy? Because they let you stay back in your convenience. They make you shrink and not shine. They make you retain and not contend. They make you settle for less, instead of going all out for more.

Staying small is expensive, you should not afford it. It will keep demanding unnecessary things that might eventually drain you. It will keep you frustrated and sink comparison deep into your soul.

In faith, you will find peace that doesn't make sense, joy in chaos, movement in uncertainty, rivers in the desert, glory in shame, and so on.

Do you know that writing this letter to you is by faith? Because, I'm not just writing from my brain but by His Spirit. He supplied these words to me.

By faith, through these letters, He blesses souls and heals the heart of men. He makes them believe in His name, again and again.

The reason why you will not be able to prove certain things in Christianity is because of faith. If you can prove all things, where then does faith come in?

Hebrews 11:3 EASY

[3] Because of faith, we understand about how God made the universe. He spoke his word to make it happen. In that way, God made all the things that we can see. He made them from things that nobody could see.

How do you explain things nobody can see? Faith; because it's the evidence of things not seen.

Faith itself is anchored in God. Why do you believe that God exists? Faith.

You will never be able to prove that God doesn't exist because of faith.

The word for “faith” is pistis. It means the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ.

Emphasis on “conviction.”

Conviction is the strong belief you have towards something. Come what may, you are still standing for it and you can even give your life for it.

If you are truly convinced about the word God has given you, why then do you want to give up and shrink back in fear?

If you are truly convinced, why have you stopped trusting and praying about it? Why have you clothed yourself in worry and anxiety?

If you are truly convinced, why are you not going all out? Why do you want to settle for less?

I want you to say to yourself; I WILL HOLD ON TO HIS WORD!

Faith demands that you might not see the wind, nor the rain, but your valley will be filled with water.

The reason why faith feels hard is because it doesn't respond to your human logic. Most times, it doesn't make any sense.

In faith; 1+1+1=1 not 3. Logic will say it's 3. That is why some people don't believe that Jesus is God.

But, God is God. Jesus is God. Holy Spirit is God. Co-eternal, co-equal and of the same essence.

Everything about God screams faith. Hebrews 11:6 NKJV;

[6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Dear friend, don't lose your faith. Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

Deep down, there was no satisfaction and there was a void I couldn't explain, but at the same time, I didn't want to admit it. I was even running from Love. I wasn't interested in anything that pointed to Him.

It went on like that until one day when my elder sister got back from school. A little confession; sometimes, I didn't like when she was around because she was always listening to messages about Him, talking too much about Him and always asking me about my relationship with Him. Then, in my mind, I would be like, “abeg, free me now!”

And please, don't get me wrong. I didn't hate Love. I just didn't want to get personal with Him. I was very okay with just knowing about Him and not truly knowing Him. I think it was because I never had an encounter with Him.

But my elder sister made me encounter Love. On that fateful day, she told me and my other siblings that we were going to get baptized in the Holy Ghost. I thought she was joking, so i was about to run away, but she called me back and told me to sit down. I wanted to rebel but I didn't. I can't even explain what made me sit.

She held our hands and started praying. My heart began to yield and soon, I started to pray in the Holy Ghost. It was like a veil was torn from my heart. My heart started to burn, not in a medical way, but in a way that felt like Love was doing a thorough work in me. I cried so much and couldn't stop praying. I felt Him all around me. His presence was so real.

Even as I write this to you, I'm in the place where I first encountered Him. This happened in our living room.

It's safe to say I encountered Love in the living room through my elder sister. That encounter birthed a hunger for Him in me.

Do you know something about encounters? They counter something in your life and start to make what truly matters count.

I said all that to say, “ the day I found Love, was the day I started living,” because that was when i found my true self. That old self wasn't who Love created me to be.

There is this song by Minister Dunsin Oyekan;

The part of “when I know you, I'll find me” caught my attention because I could relate. When I started to know Love, He began to unveil things I never knew existed inside of me.

For example, “Global Creative Dee” was birthed from my relationship with Love because I never knew I could write.

Love started to open my eyes to my identity in Christ Jesus. He made me see that there is a reason why I'm on this earth. There's a purpose attached to my life. He made me love myself, because for a long time, I was body-shamed. He told me I was beautifully and wonderfully created by Him.

Dear friend, you need Love in your life.

Love is a Spirit and when He comes upon you, He will first prune your heart. He will give you a new heart and put the right spirit within you.

Love is also a person you can interact with when you build a personal relationship with Him. He will teach you to become like Christ, make Bible study interesting, pray with you and crack you up because He has a great sense of humor.

Your life will become beautiful when you yield to Love. Love is always present and never absent. He has been chasing after you since the time of your inception. He has always loved and chosen you.

Love gave you life and gave His life for you. Love is the reason why this world is in existence. All things may pass away, but Love will never pass away.

Love wants you to be anchored in Him, so the world can become a better place.

Many people find it difficult to give love because they have been hurt. Most of them are carrying pain they never asked for. Some are not even aware and they act blindly based on that pain. But it's my prayer that they truly encounter Love Himself, so He can heal their heart and bring them out of the pain.

Love is the foundation of it all. Without it, homes, countries and friends cannot stand.

Show someone love today.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ASV

[1] If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

[2] And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

[3] And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.

Love is the very reason why your life will count.

God is Love and the day you find Him, is the day you start living.

Truly, it's important for you to know God's will for your life. It will help you live differently and build the kind of perspective you need to navigate life seasons.

Life can be pretty funny at times and you will always need to run to the One who brought life into existence to guide you all the way.

I will tell you this, for you to discover the will of God for your life;

STEP 1: Know Him

STEP 2: Make Him known.

I do not want you to lose sight of this. That is the blueprint for why you are on this earth.

It's amusing that many people want to discover their purpose outside God.

Psalms 24:1 NLT

[1] The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.

This scripture makes us understand God as the Ultimate Creator and for you to know the reason why you are here, you need to consult Him.

For example, you just got a new phone and a user manual has been attached to the package, but most of us don't take the time to read that manual. We just start using the phone immediately. That is why, most times , we underuse our phones and we are not even aware. We did not read the user manual the creator attached to it. We discarded it and didn't consider it important.

It's the same way we sometimes, underuse our capabilities because we do not take enough time to seek the Creator, who has answers to all of our questions. You don't even know the power in you. You don't know what you are capable of. You just go with what you think, not what He thinks. You cannot know yourself without God because you didn't create yourself. You need Him to reveal yourself to you.

The will of God for your life is centered around knowing Him and making Him known. Anything that pushes you further away from God is not His will for your life. As a matter of fact, God will not give you what will take you away from Him.

Even in discovering His will, you need less of you and more of Him because God must be exalted in your life. Psalm 46:10;

Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The word “still” in that scripture also means “abate” meaning; to reduce, lessen, or decrease in degree, intensity, or amount.

The will of man is to exalt himself but the will of God is to exalt God, that is why He tells us to be still, so we won't give room for self.

When I say “self”, I mean your fleshy desires.

God will not share His glory with any man. It was not written that you will be exalted, it was written that He will be exalted. So, is what you are doing exalting God or yourself?

The Kingdom was torn from King Saul because he started to obey self, instead of God. He started to do what was right in his own eyes, not what was right in God's eyes. He took pride in himself instead of taking pride in God.

•How do you identify “self” ?

✓When you don't see the need of God in your life again.

✓When you depend solely on your abilities without acknowledging The Source of all things.

✓When you think the whole world evolves around you.

✓When you start to idolize your success and accomplishments above God and forget that He was the One who brought you this far.

✓When you pratice secular humanism.

You know yourself, so you need to ask what “self” looks like to you right now.

You are bound to God and that is why these two statements will come from Him and no one else, depending on how you lived your life here on earth;

So, I ask you again, His will or yours?

The inhabitants of the land now live in fear and it seems as though nothing is happening.

Questions in our hearts?

Will God vindicate us? Will all these brutal killings ever come to an end?

Nigeria is being ruled by a dead government. A government that doesn't seem to care about the welfare and lives of its citizens. A government that pretends to be oblivious to the evil happening around us.

But, we will not give up. We will not be silent. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Our Psalm goes thus;

O God, do not be silent! Do not hold your peace. Do not be quiet, O God.

Don't you hear the uproar of your enemies? Don't you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?

They devise crafty schemes against your people; they conspire against your precious ones.

“Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Nigeria as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”

Yes, this was their unanimous decision. They signed a treat as allies against you.

These blood sucking demons—the bandits and kidnappers.

Do to them as you did to the Midianites and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.

They were destroyed at Endor and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.

Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did. Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna.

For they said, “let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!”

O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind!

As a fire burns a forest and as a flame sets mountains ablaze, chase them with your fierce storm; terrify them with your tempest.

Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and terrified forever. Let them die in disgrace.

Then they will learn that you alone are called the Lord, that you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth.

We have not been called to passive engagement. Our hearts and prayers must be with the people currently in captivity. We can't give up now.

You might be like, “but, Creative Dee, we have been praying and praying, nothing has changed.”

How about the Moravian brothers who prayed for 100 years. I'm sure, at some point, they must have felt like nothing was happening. But, something later happened. A revival broke forth. I wrote about it Here.

We will not stop praying for Nigeria. We will continue to intercede and trust that all will be well. God will vindicate us because He is mighty to save.

The Yorubas will say;Abiyamọ ò ní gb’ẹ́kún ọmọ rẹ̀, k’ómá t’ẹtí were

Meaning; A nursing mother cannot watch her children weep without rushing swiftly to their rescue.

Surely, there is an end. The expectations of the righteous will not be cut short. Peace will reign again, security will abound, famine will cease and hearts will be joyful.

We will not lose our trust and hope in the Lord. He is with us and He is for us. Jesus will be glorified, amen? Amen.

You don’t know when this waiting season will come to an end. You are already even frustrated about the whole thing but here is one thing I have learnt. Most times, God uses the waiting season to shed off some things in you and in that process, He takes you through the school of the Spirit, where you are thoroughly taught and pruned.

What He has promised you needs a version of you that would be able to carry the weight of that destiny. If He gives you now, it might destroy you because you do not have the capacity to handle it yet. If you are not willing to learn and understand what God is actually teaching you, there will be an extension of the waiting season. God loves you too much to give you what can lead to your destruction. He will first train you to handle it.

Until you have grown and evolved into that version, you might keep waiting o. Waiting season comes with certain instructions, are you carrying them out?

Take for example the Israelites, whose journey to the promise land extended by forty years. Why? Because they kept on disobeying God’s command. God wanted to teach them obedience and the fear of Him during their wilderness season. We can say the wilderness season served as their waiting season. But, these people were not willing to learn and grow, so God kept them in the wilderness for a long time because their attitude was not what the promise land needed.

God must have been like “hey, I can't trust you guys with the promise land with the way you are behaving. You have not even gotten there yet, you are already acting like you don't need me.”

Can God trust this version of you with what He has promised you?

Could it be that you have been waiting for so long because you are yet to learn what God is teaching you?

📍Questions to ask yourself;

• What is God teaching me now?

• What am I supposed to be doing that I am not doing?

• Am I aligning myself to God's plan for my life this season?

You need to really sit with God and have a heartfelt conversation with Him. Ask, “God, why are you keeping me here? What am I supposed to learn?”

This will really help you navigate your waiting season, so it doesn’t lead to wastage.

I pray for you, that the Lord opens your eyes to see the “why” of your waiting season. You are strengthened and helped by the Lord. The Lord carries you effortlessly. Your heart is helped. You walk in alignment to what He is teaching you. You obey and follow as He leads, in Jesus name, Amen.

For a good number of years in my life, I was always bed-wetting. I bed-wetted till I entered junior secondary school three, which of course, was not normal for a child of my age.

I was the major prayer point of the whole family. There are no words to describe the amount of shame I felt during those years. Shame stuck with me like my very own shadow. I was not allowed to eat or drink anything after 7 pm.

I couldn't go over to sleep at a friend or neighbor's house without the whole family worrying about my bed-wetting situation. I was worried for myself too. I was not free to sleep at night. I was always praying to God to save me for the night. I prayed to wake up dry. I prayed for total deliverance.

I recall the nights my Mom prayed tirelessly for me. I also remember the days of revival programs at church, when my mom held my hand at the front of the altar, praying seriously for my total deliverance.

Year in , year out, we kept praying. At some point, it felt like God wasn't listening. Maybe He didn't want to deliver me. Maybe this was just how it would keep going. I started to imagine how I would cope at the university and in marriage. That was wild of me.

Then, One day, I was too exhausted of my bed-wetting situation. I locked myself in the room, brought out my Bible and the hymn book of the Secondary School I attended.

The hymn book also contained prayers and psalms. I sang all the songs written in the hymn, read all the psalms and cried unto God. I prayed seriously throughout the whole day and left it as that.

The following morning, I didn't bed- wet. One week gone, no bed wetting, two weeks, still no sign of urine on my bed.

I knew God had finally delivered me. That was a miracle. I knew something supernatural happened to me. He didn't let my wild imagination come to pass. He delivered me even before I entered Senior Secondary One. God wiped my tears of shame and didn't leave me in that unpleasant situation.

❤️Dear friend, i don't know that unpleasant situation the devil has made you believe as God's will for your life, but, I'm here to tell you today; YOU CAN CONTEND!

Jacob told Esau in Genesis 27:40 NKJV;

[40] By your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you become restless, That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”

Emphasis on “when you become restless.”

There is a “when” and it's left for you to decide. Sometimes, we are waiting for God, but God is actually waiting for us. He's waiting for us to rise and take our place as His child. He is waiting for us to exercise the authority He has given us.

Esau could have accepted to serve his brother for the rest of his life but a word has gone ahead of him that the day he becomes restless; when he can't take it anymore, he will break loose and run free. Sometimes, restlessness brings you to a place of rest.

Learn to vex fast in the Spirit! Words have gone ahead of you and you can't afford to settle for less.

A man who knows how to contend is not quick to say, “Maybe it's the will of God.” He doesn't cease in his prayers until he gets to the extent of his desired result.

Take for example the true life story I shared with us, it took just a day, when Ibukunoluwa was too exhausted of her situation, to break free from bed-wetting.

But, I do not want you to get to that point. I don't want you to get to your zenith before you can can exit. I want you to break free NOW!

I want you to rise up and cast that devil back to hell. I want you to take your place as a son of a Warrior. The One who is with you has never lost a battle.

You are backed, you are so backed by God. He loves you too much to leave you in that unpleasant situation. His will for you is to prosper and be in good health.

I don't know how long you have been trusting and praying to God but I have come to tell you today, I have never seen God fail nor disappoint. He keeps to every promises and never disappoints.

It looks like you’ve been tarrying. But sometimes, tarrying isn’t about duration, it’s about intensity. How intensely are you pushing to break free?

I don't watch football, meaning I don't belong to any club but I will say this. Breaking free requires a different gear. You don't break a 22-year cycle by doing the same thing slightly longer. Arsenal had to change manager, change culture, change how they recruited, change how they played under pressure. The breakthrough came when the intensity changed, not when the clock hit 22.

You can tarry for 20 years and stay soft. Or you can decide in 1 season to play with intensity and become dangerous.

Child of God, we are waiting for you. The world is waiting for your manifestation. Refuse to take “no” for an answer. Push for “yes” with every core of your being. Be aware of who you are and Whose you are!

I'm here to pass His message across to you today. The same way He enlightened me and opened my eyes to see His original plan on sex, I pray that the eyes of your understanding is being enlightened even as you read this life-giving letter.

Sex is holy because it was created by a Holy God and it must be treated as such. Sex becomes unholy when it is done outside the purpose or reason of why it was created.

We live in a world that has bastardized and corrupted sex a lot. Porn is what happens when lovemaking is seperated from God.

Lust, not love, is what drives most people and that is why sex has been corrupted. Sex was created by God for pleasure, procreation and deep emotional, physical and spiritual bonding within the covenant of marriage.

Some people don't even know that sex is spiritual. They think it's just a physical act of pleasure but it's deeper than that because it was a Spirit(God), who created it.

Sex was made for marriage and that is why having sex outside of it is a sin.

According to Apostle Emmanuel Iren; Purpose is that one thing for which you were created and which you must succeed, otherwise, nothing else you succeed at will count.

I want to relate this definition to the reason God created sex; Sex was created for marriage and it must succeed at marriage, so therefore, having sex outside marriage is a sin and it doesn't make any sense.

What do you view sex as? Do you see it as dirty, unholy or bad?

Everything that God created was good, including sex. God made man and He intentionally placed the feelings or desire for sex in us for a purpose and that's why we can respond to it.

Some people even think having a desire for sex is a bad thing. No, it's not! Infact, if you have never felt the desire, you need to go for a medical checkup.

Where do we draw the line of this desire? Especially if you are not married.

Sex was made for man, man was not made for sex. Read that again!

What do I mean? I'm saying you shouldn't let the desire for sex control you. You must submit the desire to God. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and you cannot afford to sin against His temple.

Letting the desire control you outside the covenant of marriage, is when it becomes a sin.

Sex is not bad, it is not unholy. Whenever you hear of it, don't hear like the world does. Think about the holiness of the One who created it. I want you to see the sacredness in it and we must protect this sacredness at all cost.

Do not use the world's lens to view sex, use the WORD’S lens.

The world is corrupt and all that is in it according to 1 John 2:16 is; The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Can you see that “lust” is appearing twice? What the world thinks of sex is actually not sex but lust. Lust is what drives them and that's why sexual sins like; pornography, masturbation, fornication and the likes were birthed.

We must go back and stay on the original purpose of why God created sex. The original purpose is that it was created for one man and one woman binded within the covenant of marriage.

It was not made for one man and one man or one woman and one woman. It is Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, or Eve and Eva, hmm!

You do not have the right, under spiritual law, to have sex with a man or a woman who is not your husband or wife.

Hebrews 13:4 TPT;

[4] Honor the sanctity of marriage and keep your vows of purity to one another, for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married.

Can you see that? Very powerful! This is to show you how God holds sexual purity as the highest form.

The rule is very simple;

For the married: stay faithful to your husband or wife.

For the single: do not engage in the act.

We must change the narrative and not accept sexual immorality as a norm.

In the process of changing the narrative, there is a mandate by one of my Pastors to give out twenty thousand free books on sexual purity to young people. This is a message every young person needs to hear that sexual purity is possible.

Every day we delay, another young person trades their future for a moment.

Sexual immorality doesn’t stop at shame and brokenness;

👉🏼It steals marriages before they even start.

👉🏼It breaks families before they’re even built.

👉🏼It leaves young people carrying wounds into their calling, their career, and their children’s lives.

But we’re changing that story.

It's (NOT) just Sex! By

Surprisingly, on May 2nd, my birthday, my friends sent me the video they made. Gosh, it was so beautiful and it was exactly what I’d thought of. I was so happy and grateful.

There was also a particular time I was returning from my place of training, and I had to trek home since it wasn’t too far from my street. But I was quite exhausted and didn’t feel like walking. Then a bike man passed carrying a passenger. I stared at the bike and thought of the bike man stopping to give me a ride.

Less than five minutes after I had the thought, another bike man passed carrying a passenger. Suddenly, he stopped and called me to hop in. I was so shocked but I was truly grateful.

It felt like God was paying attention to the details of my thought. It made me realize that not just our words, our thoughts are equally powerful.

What caught my attention and backed up this conviction of mine, was what happened to Joseph, Jesus’ earthly father, in the pages of the Scripture.

Let's see Matthew 1:18-20 NKJV;

[18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

[19] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

[20] But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

I want us to pay attention to verse 20; but while he thought about these things…

So, Joseph hadn't even said he was going to put Mary away. He was just thinking about it and God quickly intervened.

Can you see that God responds to your thoughts and not only your words?

Don't joke about what you think because you have a very intentional Father and He knows every of your thoughts.

Most of the things we do spring from our thoughts. You can't act on what you have not thought of. For example, when someone asks you a question that catches you off guard and they expect you to respond immediately, the first thing you’ll say is, “i’m thinking.”

Your thoughts are the starting point of what you seek to achieve. That's how you birth ideas.

If your thoughts have that much power as a human, how much more do God's thoughts matter toward you?

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

Emphasis on “the thoughts…”

His thoughts towards you are good and they are bound to happen. Since His words are powerful, His thoughts are also powerful. Since you can bank on His words, you can also bank on His thoughts.

You must understand that there is a way God wants you to think because your thoughts are very important and has the power to shape you as a person. They can either push you to righteousness or cause you to sin.

Philippians 4:8 KJV;

[8] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—think on these things.

These are the things God wants you to think about. Things that will edify and purify, not pollute and bring down.

You need to be careful of what you entertain as your thoughts. God is interested in what you are thinking about.

Proverbs 23:7; As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.

In other words, you are your thoughts, your thoughts are you.

That's why you must learn to rebuke negative thoughts. Thoughts that don't glorify God, you must cast them down and bring them to the obedience of Christ.

The word “think” also means to “meditate on.”

David wrote in Psalms 19:14 NKJV;

[14] Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Is the meditation of your heart acceptable in His sight?

Don't you know that whatever you meditate on is what you will use to mediate—intercede.

How about you start meditating on the word of God.

Eat the word well.

Journey with the word.

Let the word become flesh to you.

Interact with the word, then let it shape your character.

Amen? Amen.

You begin to see water in the desert, possibility in the impossibility, a way where there is no way, in Jesus name.

The mercy of God will speak for you, all the days of your life and you are divinely settled.

Dear friend, you will see God more clearly, love Him more dearly, follow Him more nearly, day by day, AMEN!!!!

She decided to start trekking, hoping for a miracle of transportation. She had not trekked a long distance when Tega, a very kind-hearted neighbor of hers, saw her and decided to give her a lift in his car.

She greeted him warmly and thanked him for his help. Tega asked where she was headed and she told him the mall.

“Ohh, that's where I'm also going. I want to quickly get a few things for my wife,” Tega said.

“Alright sir,” Bolanle replied warmly.

Silence followed, and Tega turned on the car stereo and played a message by a popular preacher. Bolanle snapped out of her thoughts and started paying attention because she loves listening to sermons.

“Matthew 5:16” The preacher started…

[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

You should not be afraid to shine your light. In fact, what makes it light is that it stands out in the midst of darkness. We have been called to so shine. The word ‘so’ emphasizes how great we should shine our light.

Let me take us back in time from the book of Isaiah. Let's see Isaiah 60:2;

“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

There is a specification for you. Even Jesus said; You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden— (Matthew 5:14).

We all acknowledge that the world is a dark place, but you are responsible for lighting up the world. Even the people covered in gross darkness, you have been sent to lighten them.

Remember you were once in that same gross darkness, until The Lighter: Jesus, came to light you up. You must be burdened for the people who are still in darkness. They are kept in darkness due to lack of identity.

There are people who are the answers to some of the issues in this nation but they are still in the dark. The moment they begin to live in the consciousness of their identity as the light of the world, that gross darkness will fade and they will join the light army in fighting against this dark world.

It is worse if the people that will light up this dark world are kept in gross darkness. That is why the word “gross” was used because it's not just any kind of darkness but a gross one.

We must first focus on these people before the world can become a better place. We must pray that they come into the light. We must illuminate them so they can discover their identity as the lights of the world.

You must arise! Isaiah 60:1;

[1] Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

Who is the glory? Jesus is the glory because Christ in you is the hope of glory.

Bolanle could feel her heart burning within her as she listened.

Jesus came to illuminate the darkness of this world and as Christians, followers of Christ, we are meant to follow in His footsteps and be like Him.

Can you light up the world of your workplace, school, industry or organization?

The problem is that we mostly shine our light in the midst of light.

“Hmm, deep,” Bolanle exclaimed!

Imagine you are in a room full of light, then you also put on a torch in the room. It won't make any difference, right?

But if you are in a room full of darkness and you put on a torch or even lit a matchstick, you will clearly see a great difference. That is what Jesus has called us to do. He said it in His word that he has not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

Let me show you; Mark 2:17;

You can start what God has laid in your heart for you to shine your light.

Someone needs Jesus to illuminate their gross darkness. Many lights of the world need to arise and take their place. Give others this hope of glory, Jesus is counting on you.

Wherever you are listening to me right now, kindly say this prayer; Dear God, help me shine as the light of the world. May I never go dim in Jesus name.

Amen? Amen!

The sermon ended just as they got to the mall. Tega was greatly blessed by the message and it was a friendly reminder for him. Bolanle knew that was a wake-up call for her. She prayed silently that God would help her shine as light and she made her mind to share the gospel with one or two people at the mall.

HR had already granted Caroline permission to leave work early every Tuesday, but Betty and Tola’s permission was still pending for the day. Thankfully, before Caroline went along with her two friends to the HR office, the approval was already waiting for them.

Caroline muttered, “Thank You, Holy Spirit,” under her breath.

Wanting to beat the Lagos traffic, she and her friends walked as fast as their legs could carry them to the bus stop, boarded a bus and off they went.

As soon as they stepped into the church auditorium, the worship session had just ended. Caroline and her friends found their way to the seats the usher directed them to and sat quietly. Then Caroline's pastor, Pastor Chidi, was about to begin his sermon…

“There is a story of a king in the pages of Ta Biblia…”

Immediately he mentioned Ta Biblia, more than half of the congregation gave the “clock it” sign— That knowing nod Nigerians give when they catch a reference.

They knew their pastor to be a very sound and intellectual teacher.

Pastor Chidi paused and smiled. “For those just joining us, Ta Biblia is a Greek word and it simply means ‘The Bible’ in English. I know some of you already clocked it, especially those in the discipleship school,” he said, nodding at the grinning faces. “But I never want to leave anyone behind. We grow together,” he added, then continued his sermon…

The story of this king serves as a perfect example of our focus for today. His name is Saul. God had a perfect plan of establishing King Saul's kingdom forever in Israel.

Everything was going smoothly until the day King Saul started disobeying and rebelling against the Lord. God became sorry that He ever made Saul king—(1st Samuel 15:10-11 NLT).

“Media please, project the scripture.”

[10] Then the Lord said to Samuel, [11] “I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.

King Saul became the weapon fashioned against God's plan and purpose for his life, through his disobedience, disloyalty and foolishness. He forfeited the rulership of his entire generation.

Truly, no man can stop the move of God in your life, only you can. Don't be the weapon fashioned against yourself by using your own hands to scatter what God is building in your life.

Then, God decided to raise another man after His own heart, David, that will rule over Israel and do all, not some of His will.

After King Saul successfully became the weapon fashioned against himself, he decided to be a weapon fashioned against David by trying to kill him. But it was written in Isaiah 54:17; “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.”

“Amen, somebody?”

“Amennnnnnnnnnn!!!” The whole congregation chorused.

King Saul truly did not prosper; the Spirit of the Lord departed from him and he had a tormenting Spirit. He tried several times to kill David, but all was in vain. The Spirit of the Lord was upon David mightily and He exalted David above Saul.

It was written that women from all towns in Israel came out and sang; Saul has killed his thousands and David his ten thousands (1st Samuel 18:7).

This made King Saul very jealous and that was why he tried to kill David.

You know, while I read through the story of King Saul, it just made me realize; Sometimes, it's not that what God has said concerning us is not true, it's just we humans that deviate from the reality of His word by leaning on our understanding and taking too many short cuts. All these are the characteristics of people who walk in the broad way.

The narrow way leads to life and there are few who find it because it is not an easy path to walk in. The narrow way does not have the ability to accommodate all of your selfish desires and excesses. Instead, it prunes them all. Only a man who follows and trust in the Lord with his heart and leans not on his own understanding, walks through the narrow way. Only God can walk you through the narrow way.

“Are you getting what I'm saying?”

“Yes, Pastor Sir.” Everyone responded.

Few people find the narrow way because they have the ability to endure till the end. What does Matthew 24:13 say?

“But he who endures till the end shall be saved.” The congregation answered.

“Very good!” Pastor said cheerfully. He was so proud of his members. He adjusted his mic and continued…

The broad way that leads to destruction gives room for your selfish desires and excesses. There is no pruning, it accommodates them well and blurs your discernment. Slowly, it kills and it looks like you are chopping life, until life starts chopping you.

Betty felt like a sharp arrow had just landed in her heart. She adjusted her sitting position, fighting the sting of conviction.

There are too many short cuts in this broad way. It is destruction dressed up as enjoyment and it is not in alignment with God’s will for your life.

Now, you have the ability to decide which way to walk in. Narrow or Broad?

Narrow looks like hardwork until it earns you glory.

Broad looks like enjoyment until it earns you destruction.

Don't be the weapon fashioned against yourself by walking through the broad way.

“This hits hard!” Betty said quietly. Tears already filled her eyes.

Strive to stay and walk in the narrow path.

⚡Call to action:

Take a look at your life right now. Identify what looks like narrow or Broad way;

• Where are you taking short cuts when you are actually supposed to do the work?

• Where are you acting selfishly when you are supposed to be selfless?

• Where are you acting in secrecy instead of being accountable?

• Where are you acting in partial obedience or disobedience instead of total obedience?

Did you know that King Saul acted in partial obedience when God told him to completely destroy the Amalekite nation but he spared their King? (1st Samuel 15:7-9).

Partial obedience is still disobedience and it's one of the characteristics of the people who walk in the broad way. They give room for their own understanding a lot.

In the narrow way is total surrender and obedience.

Some people are even one leg in the narrow path and one leg in the broad path.

Tola coughed slightly. She knew that the word was for her. “You are talking to me, Pastor!” She screamed internally.

Choose this day the God you will serve. You cannot serve two masters. Either you are walking in the light or dwelling in darkness. You cannot do both; it will lead you no where.

Make up your mind today that you will choose the narrow path and serve the Lord. Stand up, church, let us pray.

After the prayer session, Pastor Chidi called out those who would love to rededicate and dedicate their lives to Christ. Betty and Tola were numbered among them.

Caroline was smiling pretty in her seat. She was so glad to have obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit by inviting her two friends to church.

“Thank You, Holy Spirit. You are the best!” She whispered.

On their way back home, Betty and Tola thanked her profusely for inviting them to church.

Another way you can be a weapon fashioned against yourself is if your actions don't match your prayers. You are praying but you keep negative confessions so close to your mouth. Don't do that!

Don't be surprised that some unbelievers know this particular scripture. But, let's take a pause. I want to pinpoint something from Psalm 23 to you today.

Many of us quote this Scripture a lot but I wonder if we truly believe it. I have once told us that the definition of “believe” is to be it and live it.

Sometimes, while reading the Bible, all you need is to dwell on one verse and you will see how rich the word of God is.

Now, let's talk about; Becoming a sheep that has a Shepherd…

Not just any kind of Shepherd, We are talking about a sheep that has a very good Shepherd. One characteristic of that sheep is a dependent spirit. Why? Because it trusts its Shepherd to take care of it. This sheep doesn’t need to worry about what to eat, where to go, shelter, or so many other things. The Shepherd will provide all that it needs.

Only a sheep without a Shepherd worries about those necessities of life. A sheep without a Shepherd has an independent spirit because it has to fend for itself, protect itself from harm, provide shelter for itself, guide itself and so on.

But a sheep with a Shepherd has nothing to worry about because it depends on its Shepherd for every single thing. This sheep can be assured that come what may, its Shepherd will always be there to feed, guide and shield it.

Dear friend, do you behave like a sheep with a Shepherd?

Psalm 23:1;

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

I don't know if you have come across herdsmen— definitely not talking about dangerous herdsmen who kill people these days. I mean herdsmen whose job is to care for their livestock.

Have you seen how they graze their cattle? They don't just feed them any kind of grass, they feed them the best grass.

If humans can be that intentional about animals, how much more the One you call your Shepherd! How will He not take care of you and give you the very best.

Knowing God as your Shepherd is believing that He has the ability to provide all that you need. With Him, there is no lack.

When I pray that you will not lack any good thing, I'm indirectly telling you to be conscious of the One who is your Shepherd.

As your Shepherd, He will not jeopardize but prioritize your life. Let's talk about how to live like a sheep that has a Shepherd…

• This sheep allows its Shepherd to take care of it.

• It doesn't try to be the Shepherd of its life.

• It doesn't guide, shield or provide its own grass to graze.

• The sheep obeys its Shepherd every step of the way.

• It trusts the direction of its Shepherd without leaning on its own understanding.

Most times, we say we trust God but at the same time, we lean on our understanding. It's just like asking a friend of yours to come drive your car, but you keep holding on to the steering wheel. How will your friend drive your car?

It's impossible, right? But if you hand over the steering wheel to your friend, he or she will be able to drive your car comfortably.

Dear friend, allow God drive your life. Stop holding on to the steering wheel like you are the Driver. You are the passenger and this good Driver picked you from grass to grace so you will not be disgraced.

The truth is, anytime you worry, you are trying to become the Shepherd of your life.

Matthew 6:31-32 NLT

[31] “So don't worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’

[32] These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

Oh how I love this Scripture! Emphasis on “these things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers”—remember what I told you earlier about a sheep without a Shepherd. Don't be or live like it.

God knows every good thing you desire and He will never leave you stranded.

He is and will always remain your Shepherd. Amen? Amen.
