New data suggests that Bitcoin has bottomed.

Specifically, another signal flashed a few days ago and I want you to see it…

The chart below shows Bitcoin since 2020 with two daily exponential moving averages:

🔵 21-day EMA
🔴 200-day EMA

This EMA crossover signal is extremely powerful because it provides quantifiable and objective evidence that price is rising in a material way after a major consolidation.

This signal is so material that it has only flashed 7 other times since the start of 2020.

Naturally, if something only happens 7 times in ~6 years, I want to know what the implications are and answer the question, “how did Bitcoin perform in the past, based on this exact signal?”

The data is unequivocally bullish:

• The average 3-month return = +32.63% (only 1 of 7 cases with a negative return)

• The average 6-month return = +43.4% (0 of 7 cases with a negative return)

• The average 1-year return = +153.5% (only 2 of 7 cases with a negative return)

Some people will dismiss these findings.

They’ll say that we aren’t in the same environment.

They’ll say that we shouldn’t rely on data from the past.

Unfortunately, we ONLY have data from the past.

Before we begin with this 4th edition of the monthly chart request series, where premium members ask me to analyze the individual assets that are most important to them, I want to talk about Bitcoin…

Specifically, a new momentum thrust signal flashed that you need to be aware of.

I don’t care if you’re bearish or bullish on the asset, if you hate it or if you love it…

The chart below shows Bitcoin with weekly candles and the 1-week rate of change indicator, highlighting each case where Bitcoin has gained at least +20% in a week.

Since Q4 2018, this signal has occurred a total of 6 times, with the 7th flashing now.

Particularly in the context of a bear market, this momentum thrust initiated the bull markets going into 2019 and 2023… and it’s flashing now for the first time since 2024.

Yes, the signal in February 2024 “failed” because it was followed by multiple months of consolidation with a peak to trough drawdown of -33.57%… but an investor who bought that signal in real-time “only” experienced a drawdown of -22.3% and was up +49% exactly one year later.

So did it really fail?

Particularly given the clear success of the signal in other cases?

I must admit…

I’m nervous about what yields are doing.

For the past few months, I’ve reiterated the view that yields wouldn’t go much higher.

Thankfully, I quantified “much higher” to mean that the 10Y Treasury yield wouldn’t get back above 4.8% (shown in blue), but they keep inching up towards that level.

Objectively, this is “bullish” price structure for yields.

It’s an uptrend… no doubt about it.

But it’s an uptrend with two caveats.

1. Yields haven’t made higher highs since late 2023. If this was a strong uptrend, wouldn’t yields be steadily rising? Isn’t the fact that it’s been sideways for 3 years evidence of a range-bound yield environment? Yes and yes. So it isn’t a strong uptrend.

2. While yields have been range-bound and/or rising, stocks have continued to remain in uptrend, bucking the textbook relationship where yields and asset prices have an inverse relationship (all else being equal). Clearly, all else is not equal. Thankfully, I’ve been on the record since October 2024 that yields don’t matter anymore.

These aren’t just any caveats.

They are monstrous, market-defining caveats.

So can I really be nervous if the market itself continues to shrug it off?

Mind you, constant warnings have been issued about surging yields in Japan.

Yet Japanese stocks are in a full-fledged uptrend:

It’s not just the Nikkei 225, either…

I’m about to share my entire stock market portfolio, with full transparency.

But before we get into all of my holdings and my general investing plans in the months ahead, I want you to look at this signal from the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX):

The VIX just had its lowest daily close since January 9, 2026.

I don’t think that’s insignificant…

In fact, I think it’s one of the most significant developments in the entire market.

Why?

If we invert the VIX and add the S&P 500 to the bottom pane, we uncover an important relationship, in which divergences between the two can foreshadow major corrections.

In fact, EVERY major correction for the S&P 500 over the course of this bull market has occurred AFTER a divergence in which the VIX failed to produce lower lows (or in the case of this inverted chart, higher highs) while the index made higher highs.

Therefore, as we look at this relationship in the current environment, the lack of a divergence between the VIX and the S&P 500 tells me that this recent breakout to new all-time highs has legs.

Particularly in an environment where junk bonds are also breaking out and confirming the uptrend in equities. In other words, the lack of a bearish divergence in both volatility and junk bonds relative to the stock market is HIGHLY bullish.

I’m not going to fade these developments…

But that’s just me.

The sacrificial lamb has been given to satisfy the market gods.

Leopold Aschenbrenner’s fund, Situational Awareness, has blown up.

Periods of speculation require a hard reset, crowning a poster-child of capitulation.

And we officially have that now, thanks to Leopold.

This doesn’t mean that I’m attracted to the risk/reward on the high-flying memory, chip, & equipment stocks that have dominated headlines over the past 6-12 months.

But Leopold’s official collapse likely marks a key inflection point, representing a shift back to outright bullish conditions for the market-cap-weighted indices.

The fact is that the S&P 500 is trading at the same price as it was on May 14, 2026.

This time-based consolidation has allowed the market to digest the historic gains off the March 30th lows, during which time the index gained +20.6% in 44 trading days.

Investor sentiment has been in suppressed territory for quite some time now…

The longer this choppy action has remained, the louder the bearish narratives became.

Bears beat their chest to the drum of heightened uncertainty around a new Fed Chair, continued geopolitical risks, labor market conditions, inflation, earnings, etc.

And yet, here we are…

Up +18.2% YoY and +9.4% YTD.

This is a raging bull market, by all accounts.

If you don’t believe me, ask financials (XLF), healthcare (XLV) value (VTV), high-dividend (VYM), dividend growth (DGRO), high cash flow (COWZ), equal-weight S&P 500 (RSP), small-cap discretionary (PSCD), broker-dealers (IAI), insurance (IAK), biotech (XBI).

Rotation is the lifeblood of a bull market, and the evidence of breadth expansion in recent months and weeks is crystal clear.

But that rotation has come at the expense of high-beta themes, including tech, growth, and mega-caps, particularly in an environment where the market has priced in significantly higher probabilities for rate hikes in 2026/27.

Logically, we must ask ourselves…

If that period of consolidation is coming to an end and if the market has fully priced in rate 2 rate hikes in 2026 (which it has… just ask the 6M Treasury yield), which stocks are poised to capitalize on that re-strengthening & decisively bullish behavior?

Personally, I think the market has been giving us a clue for the past 1-2 weeks…
