話說當年英國是世界上紡織技術最先進的國家，他們嚴守著一種神奇紡織機的秘密。這種紡織機由水力驅動，也就是說工廠都建在河邊。河水流過特定的涵洞，推動水輪機，水輪機再通過一系列的變速結構，帶動中央傳動軸。中央傳動軸進入到廠房，通過一系列的分動皮帶，將眾多的紡紗機帶動。於是這些紡紗機就協同日夜轟隆隆地響個不停，把棉花砸成一團團的棉條，再扯出一縷縷的紗線，然後再用紗線織成布，漂洗染織，最後行銷到市場上。這個就是工業革命最重要的成果之一：紡織工業。

美國人這會兒還剛剛脫離英國不久，積貧積弱的農業國家。但是就像今天的落後國家一樣，裡邊不乏有聰明才俊。其中一個對機械工程很感興趣的企業家，他有心開辦這樣一個工廠，於是他到了英國，以旅行參觀之名看了這樣的一個紡織廠。然後他把所有的圖像都記錄在腦海裡。所以過海關的時候打開他的箱包，沒有一張圖紙，但誰也不知道他從英國帶走了當時大英帝國最重要的產業秘密：紡紗機的整體結構和運作模式。

他到了麻州之後，就試圖自己開一個這樣的工廠。但在具體的機械製造和實施上遇到很多困難，所以他邀請了當地一位非常著名的機械師。在這位機械師的幫助下，一起完成了這套水力紡織系統，投入生產之後運行非常良好。

而這裡也發展出一種集約式的生產模式。這裡是世界上第一座從棉花到棉布在一座工廠裡完成的產業鏈，也就是說將棉花的初加工、紡織、漂洗、染織，全部在這個工作坊裡完成。

同時這裡也招收了很多新英格蘭地區的農村女孩。她們年紀小小的就到這個地方來，入住到寄宿制的宿舍大樓，有廠方派阿姨統一照管。所以她們要定時休息，還有一些時間要用來學習，同時週日還要去教堂。這也創造出美國乃至世界產業史上非常獨特的一種工人模式，叫沃爾瑟姆－洛威爾（Waltham-Lowell）模式。這種模式和英國那種一味的剝削產業工人，形成了鮮明的對照。

同時隨著工業技術的不斷發展，這個工廠也在不斷地升級技術。它由河水驅動，慢慢地建立了蒸汽鍋爐驅動，到最後是由電力驅動。同時這個廠子的生產主業也在不斷轉換，由最初的紡織廠到鐘錶工業，以及精密機械加工工業。

補充幾則歷史核查，口播中未及細說的名字與數據：

那位把英國水力紡織機的秘密記在腦海中帶回美國的企業家，是弗朗西斯·卡波特·羅威爾（Francis Cabot Lowell，1775 至 1817）。他所邀請的那位當地傑出機械師，是保羅·穆迪（Paul Moody，1779 至 1831）。兩人於 1813 至 1814 年在查爾斯河畔創立的波士頓製造公司（Boston Manufacturing Company），是全球第一家將原棉處理、紡紗、織布、完成品全部集中在同一廠房內（Under One Roof）完成的完全整合型現代化紡織廠。

至於英國那台被嚴守的機器，正確的說法是卡特萊特動力織機，出自蘭開夏郡（Lancashire）。蘭開夏是一個郡名，不是機器的名字。

鐘錶、標準化零件、亨利·福特的流水線，還有沃爾瑟姆那位把汽車拆成 14 個木箱郵購出售的工程師，我們下一集再說。

這是一件距今兩千五百多年、由青銅鑄造的馬車車軸部件。

凱爾特文化藝術之所以能橫跨歐洲廣泛傳播，關鍵在於他們擁有非常先進的交通工具：馬車。

在凱爾特馬車的構造中，最核心的部分就是輪軸。一個可靠的輪軸必須具備以下特點：穩定和堅固，承載整車的重量與衝擊；旋轉良好，降低行駛阻力；質地均勻，確保馬車在高速行駛時，車身不會產生劇烈的抖動。

令人驚嘆的是，在兩千五百多年前，凱爾特的工匠就已經掌握了高超的冶金技術，將灼熱的青銅熔液精準地倒入模範之中。隨後，再經過一系列複雜的鑄造工藝，才打造出這件質地優美的馬車車軸部件。在組裝時，這個車軸會裝上輻條與外輪，內部則包含金屬軸襯與木頭軸心，最終組合成一個運轉順暢的車輪。而這只是製造一輛能跨越千里的馬車所需的一部分零件，同時還有成百上千類似的部件，要在凱爾特的工業作坊裡進行鑄造和組裝。

正是無數裝有這種高效能車輪的馬車，載著凱爾特人馳騁在歐洲大地上。它不僅運載貨物，更在遷徙中傳播著信仰與文化。這強大的移動能力，讓凱爾特人緊密地和周圍文明交織在一起，成為古希臘與古羅馬歷史中，揮之不去的強大鄰居。

Last time, we saw how tea sparked America’s War of Independence, how a fight over tea helped give birth to a brand-new nation. And once that nation was founded, one of the very first things it did was sail to China to buy the tea it loved so much. In many ways, tea (and trade with China) became one of the most pivotal threads in the whole of American history.

Right now, in Boston, the cradle of American history, a tall ship festival is underway. Magnificent sailing ships from around the world have circumnavigated the globe to gather in Boston for this celebration.

It brings to mind America’s very first global voyage.

The first known circumnavigation in human history was completed by Magellan’s fleet in 1522. America’s first global voyage came more than 260 years later, in 1787. Freshly independent, the United States sent the merchant ship Columbia out of Boston Harbor. She sailed into the Atlantic, then south along the coast, all the way down to Cape Horn at the southern tip of South America, with Antarctica almost within sight. From there, she turned north into the Pacific and sailed up the west coast of North America.

Before setting out, the crew had loaded a curious root dug from the mountains near Boston. Carrot-shaped, said by Native Americans to hold a nourishing, almost spiritual power, yet largely ignored by settler communities, the crew decided to try their luck selling it in China. Along the west coast, then still under Spanish rule, they traded with local indigenous peoples for a large stock of furs. From there, they crossed the Pacific and arrived in Guangzhou, China. There, they handed over their American ginseng and furs to local trading agents in exchange for Chinese tea, porcelain, and homespun cotton cloth. Finally, departing from Guangzhou, they crossed the Indian Ocean, rounded the Cape of Good Hope, reentered the Atlantic, and sailed home to Boston, completing not just America’s first global voyage, but a journey toward wealth and success through global trade.

At the time, the United States had only just become independent, a poor, small agrarian nation with no technological or industrial edge to offer China. Yet they made the most of what they had, turning a local root, American ginseng, into a tradable commodity. It was a feat of both adventurous spirit and ingenuity.

This voyage was more than just an expansion of American commerce. In a way, it was also a kind of redemption, because what they brought home was tea from China, especially the prized Bohea tea, the very kind that, a decade earlier, American revolutionaries had dumped into Boston Harbor.

Founding an independent nation was, in part, about bypassing the middlemen, Britain, so that they could finally drink authentic Bohea tea straight from the source.

那时的美国刚刚独立没多久，是个一穷二白的农业小国，与中国贸易并没有任何技术和产品优势，然而他们尽其所能，将本地土产的西洋参，设法变成了贸易货品，这颇具探险精神和创意。

这段航行不仅仅是美国商业的拓展，实际上也是对十几年前，美国人行动的一次救赎，因为他们买回来的就是当年在美国大革命时，倾倒在波士顿港湾里的中国茶，特别是武夷茶。

可见茶叶是那个时候美国人的真爱，建立一个独立的国家，首先就是为了绕过中间商英国的盘剥，直接喝上原产武夷茶。

And in this role, Raphael showed us something beyond niceness: real courage, a capacity for righteous anger, and a sharp strategic mind for persuading those in power.

Back in 1518, over five hundred years ago, Raphael was appointed by the Pope as chief overseer of antiquities for the sacred city of Rome. What did that mean? Any construction happening anywhere around Rome: if someone wanted to quarry stone from the Colosseum, saw apart a slab engraved with ancient inscriptions, or chip bricks from an old aqueduct, whether it was building sheep pens, stacking mangers, or burning stone into lime to build churches, it all had to be reported to the authorities. Raphael had to know, and Raphael had to approve. Otherwise, it was against the law.

Through this work, Raphael came to see, more clearly than ever, both the immense weight of civilization carried in Rome’s ancient ruins, and the devastating scale of the damage being done to them.

So, true to his position, he took action. Together with a close friend, a writer and diplomat, the same man celebrated for his effortless elegance, Castiglione, the two of them wrote a letter to Pope Leo the Tenth.

And in this letter, the ever-graceful Raphael let his anger show, unmistakably. He condemned every one of the Pope’s predecessors, accusing them of sitting idle in office, of tolerating, even participating in, the destruction of ancient monuments, of tearing the old city of Rome apart piece by piece. The Rome that looks so magnificent today, he argued, was in truth built on the ruins of ancient Roman civilization.

Then he shifted his aim, straight at the current Pope. “Holy Father,” he wrote, meaning the Pope himself, “who could possibly match your mercy, your wisdom, your noble spirit, your vision for culture?”

Worth noting: this Pope came from the Medici family, from Florence. So calling him cultured and visionary wasn’t just flattery. It actually held up.

And then, Raphael made his appeal: he asked the Pope to place the protection of Rome’s ancient ruins at the very top of his agenda, above everything else.

Now look closely at this letter, because it holds a masterclass in communication strategy. First: unfiltered anger, laying out, one by one, the failures and negligence of the bosses who came before. Second: lifting the current boss onto a pedestal, placing him on a plane so high he can’t possibly say no. And third: handing that boss, right then and there, a great and noble mission to fulfill.

And after that? All that’s left is time, and luck. Do everything within your power, then leave the rest to fate.

We often say Raphael was the greatest learner this world has ever seen. Whether learning from the living masters around him, or from the cultural heritage of the dead, he was the first to put forward an idea that still matters immensely: cultural heritage isn’t a vanished past. It’s an endless source of inspiration for the future.

And even today, this is the very path we still walk, still thinking, still working along the lines Raphael first drew.

So thank you, Raphael. Thank you for your gentleness, your grace, and your anger.

在五百多年前的一五一八年，拉斐爾受命成為教皇的神聖之城羅馬城的古蹟總監。所謂古蹟總監，就是所有的羅馬周邊的施工，如果想挖鬥獸場的石頭，鋸開刻有古代銘文的石碑，或者敲走古引水渠的磚，無論是累羊圈砌馬槽，還是煉石灰修教堂，都必須報告官家，要讓拉斐爾知情並首肯，否則就是違法。

在這個過程中，拉斐爾就更加進一步的見證到了，古羅馬遺蹟所承載的文明厚度，以及其遭受的破壞之深重。

在其位謀其政，所以他和一位文學家外交家好友，就是那位以不經意間的優雅著稱的卡斯蒂謬奧內，一起聯手，給教皇利奧十世寫了一封信。

在信中，一向優雅的拉斐爾憤怒之情溢於言表，他批評了所有教皇的前任，指他們屍位素餐，縱容甚至充當古蹟破壞者，把古老的羅馬城大卸八塊。今天看似華麗的羅馬，實際上是建立在對古羅馬文明的毀滅之上的。

然後OK，剩下的就看時間和運氣，盡人事而後知天命。

我們總說，拉斐爾是這個世界上最善於學習的人。無論是從活著的大師身上，還是從故去的文化遺產身上，他率先提出一個非常重要的觀點：文化遺產不是一個消失的過去，而是留給未來無盡的啟迪。

• The polytheistic philosophy of ancient Greece and Rome — represented by Plato and Aristotle — emphasizing reason, intellectual inquiry, and contemplation of the natural order.

• The Abrahamic monotheism of Christian theology, which formed the spiritual and social bedrock of medieval Europe.

These two systems of thought, from the very beginning, gave rise to entirely different artistic paradigms. Greco-Roman art revered mimesis — the imitation of nature — striving for the most refined realism to capture the proportions and vitality of all living things. Christian art, particularly as expressed in the Middle Ages, deliberately kept its distance from the physical, material world in order to avoid the religious taboo of idolatry. Medieval art abandoned any faithful rendering of the human body or three-dimensional space, turning instead toward a world of heightened symbolism, flatness, and spiritual metaphor.

Forgotten Memory, Shifted Craft

The passage from the Classical Age into the Middle Ages, and then into the Renaissance, was not merely a violent transfer, erasure, and reconstruction of artistic technique — it was accompanied by a transformation of ideas as well.

As art’s center of gravity shifted from representing living, breathing, earthly life to constructing radiant, transcendent symbols of the divine, the classical mastery of perspective, anatomy, and chiaroscuro was gradually forgotten over the course of a thousand years. In its place arose intricate, elaborate composite crafts — mosaics, illuminated manuscripts, and the like. This transformation was not a simple regression, but rather a displacement of where technical energy was directed.

Yet, by the time of the Renaissance, intellectuals and artists erupted with an extraordinary passion to summon back that lost classical memory.

The School of Athens — Reason Reconciled with Faith

The greatness of the Renaissance lies in how it brought the forgotten cultures of Greece and Rome back into the realm of thought, and entered into a dialogue of synthesis and accommodation with Christian faith.

This historic fusion found its perfect visual expression in Raphael’s supreme masterpiece, The School of Athens. The great philosophers of antiquity gather beneath a magnificent structure of towering Roman vaulted arches, each expounding their views on the truth of the universe and of human life.

Among them, Plato — hand raised, pointing toward the sky — was in fact a harsh critic of art. He believed that truth lay at the core of reality; that the material world before him was merely a projection of that truth; and that representational art was, in turn, a projection of that world. A projection of a projection — something misleading and false.

Aristotle, whose hand reaches downward toward the earth, is the true spiritual godfather of realist art. He argued that it is precisely through art’s faithful representation and imitation of nature in its truest form that human beings come to perceive the divine laws of creation, and thereby set foot on the path toward truth.

In the context of the Renaissance, representing God and the divine through the realistic image of the human body was restored to legitimacy. Within the span of just a few decades, Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and others perfectly fused profound personal human experience with the rediscovered techniques of classical realism — reviving space, perspective, and anatomy — and ultimately created an artistic achievement, both in rational mastery and in the passion of faith, unlike anything that had come before.

文藝復興時期的藝術與思維

縱觀西方古代思想與文化史，其核心由兩種迥異的哲學與信仰形態交織而成：

• 古希臘羅馬的多神教哲學：以柏拉圖與亞里斯多德為代表，強調理性、思辨與對自然秩序的觀照。

• 亞伯拉罕一神教的基督教神學：構成了中世紀歐洲的精神與社會基石。

這兩種思想系統，在最初各自催生了全然不同的藝術範式。希臘羅馬藝術崇尚「模仿自然」（Mimesis），試圖以極致的寫實技巧去呼應萬物的比例與生命力；而以中世紀為代表的基督教藝術，則為了規避「偶像崇拜」的宗教禁忌，刻意與具象的物質世界保持距離。中世紀藝術放棄了對肉身與三維空間的寫實度量，轉而走向高度符號化、平面化且充滿靈性隱喻的抽象世界。

記憶的遺忘與技巧的轉移

從古典時代跌入中世紀，再跨入文藝復興，這不僅是藝術技巧的劇烈轉移、遺忘與重構，更伴隨著觀念的更迭。

當藝術的重心從「再現有血有肉的現世生命」轉向「建構金碧輝煌的彼岸象徵」時，古典的透視、解剖與明暗法在千年中逐漸被歷史遺忘，取而代之的是細緻複雜的鑲嵌畫、手抄本插圖等工藝綜合體。這種轉變並非單純的倒退，而是技巧重心的位移。

然而，到了文藝復興時期，知識分子與藝術家對這段失落的古典記憶，爆發出超乎尋常的召喚熱情。

雅典學院：理性與信仰的兼融

文藝復興的偉大之處，在於將被遺忘的希臘羅馬文化重新帶回思維範疇，並與基督教信仰進行了一場兼融並蓄的對話。

這場歷史性的融匯，在拉斐爾的壁畫巔峰之作《雅典學院》中得到了完美的視覺呈現：古典時代的哲學先賢們，赫然聚集在帶有古羅馬巨型穹頂的宏偉建築之下，為宇宙人生的真理各抒己見。

其中，舉手指向天空的柏拉圖是藝術的嚴厲批評者，他認為世界的核心是真理，眼前物質世界是真理的投影，而寫真藝術又是眼前世界的投影，投影的投影就是謬妄誤導之物。（他老人家的藝術理論對繪畫藝術是毀滅性地）

伸手撫向大地的亞里斯多德正是寫實藝術的精神教父。他強調，人類正是通過藝術對自然原貌的極致表現與摹寫，方能洞察造物的神聖規律，進而踏入求索真理的進程。（這個中聽）

在文藝復興的語境下，以寫實的肉身形象去表達神與神性，重新獲得了正統地位。

在短短數十年之內，拉斐爾、米開朗基羅與達芬奇等人，將深刻的個體生命體驗與失而復得的古典寫實技巧完美熔於一爐，復甦了空間、透視與解剖學，最終創造出一種兼具理性法度與信仰激情、前無古人的藝術成就。

Despite this, a profound sense of optimism led them to believe that the future would inevitably bring a genius capable of building the dome, thereby manifesting the glory God had bestowed upon their city-state. They waited for over a century. Then, in the 1420s, that genius arrived exactly as hoped.

Fascinatingly, this genius lived just a stone’s throw away, right next to the cathedral square. His name was Filippo Brunelleschi (1377–1446). Growing up, he watched teams of stonemasons and bricklayers clanging away, working up and down the scaffolding to build the cathedral.

By the time the main structure was completed, the roof had been left wide open for nearly fifty years, leaving the sanctuary exposed to the wind and rain. Capping this cathedral was, naturally, the lifelong dream of young Brunelleschi.

As he grew up, Brunelleschi became a goldsmith and a clockmaker; architecture was merely his hobby. He had no spectacular track record to speak of, but fueled by the confidence he gained from deeply studying ancient architecture in Rome, he decisively entered the design competition for the cathedral dome at the “ripe old age” of 43 (at a time when the average life expectancy in Florence was only in the fifties). He successfully persuaded the committee of overseers to put him in charge of the project.

Ultimately, the core of the Renaissance can be distilled into two distinct spirits:

• An Optimistic Faith: A willingness to lay foundations and wait a century for a grand plan to come to fruition, and a readiness to judge talent by merit rather than pedigree, trusting in groundbreaking innovation.

• The “Amateur” Spirit: Here, “amateur” does not mean a lack of expertise. Instead, it describes a refusal to be confined to a single box—a passion for exploring multiple disciplines with an agile mind and rich creativity.

During the Renaissance, many masters created their greatest works as “amateurs.” Michelangelo was an amateur fresco painter when he created The Genesis; Raphael was an amateur antiquarian who went on to pioneer the very concept of cultural heritage preservation; and Leonardo da Vinci essentially viewed himself as an amateur artist, dedicating his life to engineering and inventive whimsy. Though only about thirty of his paintings survive, he wears the crown of Western art history. These “amateurs” unlocked unparalleled flexibility and the transformative, innovative spirit of the true polymath.

所以文藝復興的內核可以歸納為兩種精神，第一是積極樂觀的“信念”，願意為百年大計而奠基等待，也願意英雄不問出處，相信新的創舉；第二就是一種業餘精神。業餘，並不是指業務不精良，而是指從業者不固步自封，廣泛涉獵多個學科和領域，思路靈活，創意豐富。文藝復興中，很多大師都是以“業餘”身分參與其創作活動，米開朗基羅是業餘壁畫家，畫出了《創世紀》；拉斐爾是業餘古蹟愛好者，卻推動了人類歷史上第一個文化遺產保護概念的提出，達芬奇乾脆就是業餘藝術家，以工程和發明奇想為己任，存世的畫作不過三十幅，但卻被賦予西方美術史的桂冠。這些“業餘”人士發揮出超強的靈活性和“全能之人”的創新精神。

In this territory, which only became known as “Italy” in the 19th century, lay a fragmented landscape of fiercely competing city-states, duchies, and kingdoms. To the north were the ambitious Republic of Venice and the French-backed duchies of Milan and Savoy. In the center lay the Papal States and Florence, while the south was ruled by the Kingdom of Naples. If a 16th-century Venetian were told that he shared a national identity with his arch-rival from Genoa, he would likely argue the point with bitter indignation.

展览中，既有他少年时代初出茅庐时极为精细、孜孜以求地反复刻画以寻找形象最佳表现瞬间的素描；也有他在成熟的艺术高峰期——如《雅典学院》、《基督显圣》中——表达人类文明传承或见证宗教奇迹的充满感沛之情的素描。

相较于米开朗基罗将人的雄伟予以夸张呈现，拉斐尔则是将其所感知与掌握的复杂人体解剖结构，不露声色的含蓄融入画面之中。因此，观其素描，观者并不会感到其解剖结构与知识的艰 深，亦无炫技之感；但在举重若轻的挥毫之间，光线、氛围、结构与空间已然跃然纸上，灵动、轻盈。这正如同他的性格，温文尔雅，不露声色地游走于历任教皇与罗马贵族世家之间，这种性格的特色，为他从一名早年丧亲的孤儿成长为一代艺术巨匠及“画家中的王子”奠定了道路。他的作品亦定义了人类文明的高光时刻——文艺复兴的高峰期。

拉斐尔于37岁艺术创作最旺盛时期所作的《基督显圣图》素描，与其21岁时所作的《圣母加冕》素描中，同样展现了一个表现崇敬与仰望的青年形象。前者以线造型为主，后者则开始施以丰富 的阴影与塑形。然而，画作中所流露出的惊奇、期待、喜悦与惊愕，正象征着拉斐尔穿过漫长的中世纪，踏着前辈的足迹，从文艺复兴初期一路攀登至文艺复兴最高峰的舞台。这其中充满了无尽的惊讶与神奇。

所以当拉斐尔听说当时远近闻名的托斯卡纳的文化首府佛罗伦萨正在发生一件艺术史上的大事件的时候，他便赶去看热闹。

可以说，留在佩鲁贾的拉斐尔，那就是另一个佩鲁吉诺；离开佩鲁贾去往更广阔的世界闯荡的拉斐尔，才成为文艺复兴的第三杰，拉斐尔。

那反推回来呢，由于这个东罗马帝国很稳定，长达一千年，这西罗马帝国的旧地就不断的各种山头大王不断的换，它的文化生态很混乱。那怎么办？它就借鉴东罗马帝国的艺术传统，直接把拜占庭艺术直接全部引入，直到整个欧洲全境。

所以整个欧洲中世纪的底色是拜占庭艺术。你看他们的这种生活形态，就是日常家里摆的就是这样的圣像画，去了教堂呢，是更大的圣像画。

这个就画是佛罗伦萨人画的。你看那么洋气的、那么善创造潮流的佛罗伦萨人，也曾经画非常传统的拜占庭风格的。金色的地仗，耶稣受难，你看这个画在一个大木头板上。而且大家猜一猜这是油画吗？

不是。

蛋彩画，对，坦培拉（Tempera）。当时油画还没被发明呢。当时他们就是用蛋黄液和颜料粉混合，来画在木板上。所以这样就产生了一个效果就是说色彩保存如新。

然后，他们在细节上用这个金属錾子来打各种图案，是敲出来的图案，不是画出来的。这是另外一个小城叫锡耶纳（Siena）。锡耶纳是一个独特的画派，色彩很鲜活，然后背景这种装饰感。

那直到佛罗伦萨在 14、15 世纪慢慢地它的金融业、羊毛产业慢慢地发展起来之后，这是佛罗伦萨市政厅的一个壁画，就讲述他们城市的历史，他们才慢慢地走出这个拜占庭风格。那这个其实这个过程是很不容易的，因为它有太长时间的影响。你看这个拜占庭风格表现在圣母圣子、受难图，它基本上就是这样的，你一眼看过去，给你一种符号，而不是给你一种真切的感觉。

1453 年，就是拉斐尔父亲那一代人。西欧听到了一件震惊天下的大事，东罗马帝国失守了、崩溃了。君士坦丁堡被土耳其人伊斯兰人攻破了。这些承载了千年文明的古国，古罗马帝国的余晖彻底熄灭了，被毁灭了。那怎么办？这个东罗马帝国有很多知识分子、精英，他们就携带者他们的教育文本、图书、资料，赶紧跑到这个欧洲西罗马帝国的旧地去避难。不管如何，哪里好歹还是个基督教世界。

然后这个清单上就画了当时他们吃的东西。所以今天我们尽可能复刻他们当年吃的啊。大家看这是什么？

面包。

然后呢，这是葡萄酒。

非常托斯卡纳的葡萄酒。就是那个时代的，就是米开朗基罗家乡产的。

然后还有这个蔬菜，这个芜菁，然后，他的意思是他要买四个面包，然后买这么一扎葡萄酒。还大小都比画出来的。然后这个怎么怎么摆盘，然后还有两种鱼，反正都是咸鱼了，因为当时在罗马很难买到新鲜鱼，大多都是腌制的。

好。就是这样的一个午餐，还有，它里边还说到了还有意大利饺子。

然后下午呢，我们会体验一下，当年拉斐尔为了创作这个象征着文艺复兴的黄金时代的这个雅典学院，他做的准备素描。

大家在大都会的现场能看到这幅画。所以大家上手画一画。

哇这个我们在现场看了觉得哇非常的激动，这个就是几百年来学院派教育。就是我们少年时代受到的这个学院教育系统的大宗师。

如此举重若轻，行云流水般的这种来处理他的这个人物形象，而且这每个人物都还很有历史的深意，像刚才我们的介绍。

大家不用紧张哈，这个零基础友好，我们提前做了一点点功课，所以大家上手就能画。

在意大利式茶歇之后呢，我们就再来第二张，就是这个大师的工作室。我们知道拉斐尔不是一个人在孤军奋战，他手下有几十个合作方，大部都是当时优秀的这些艺术家，各方面的精英。他怎么样协调大家一起工作？

那有一种很重要也很经典的方法，就叫格子画法。

就是大师画一个素描。

然后呢，他和他的合作者或者他的高徒，就怎么样把这个放放到一个很大的上面呢？当时没有投影机，也没有数字打印那怎么办呢？那就打格子。打若干的方格。然后呢，他在同样在一个很大的画布上，也打上方格，然后就这样通过这个方格就建立一个坐标系，然后把这个平移到那个特定的那个位置上去。所以大家今天是拉斐尔的高徒，我们也试试这个办法，这是文艺复兴几百年来最经典的办法。

相信有了这两项训练，大家再去大都会的展场。

就不再是这个素人小白，而是深度介入到拉斐尔工作里去。
