I am currently going through an intense 8-year transit where Uranus is transiting my 12th house. Loads of changes for sure in the departments of sociology, spirituality, and psychology, but also how these changes are prompted through hidden enemies, and if you know anything about something or someone hidden, it usually is in proximity, a limiting belief, family, a ritual use of a substance, or people you considered friends. Thankfully, since I have divination on my side, these things are not surprising to me; however, what has become surprising is when it is expected for me to minimize myself in the face of deceit, poor character, and gossip, not because God is asking me to do this, but because my mere existence has burned their ego. Can you believe the ones who have nothing but trouble to give also have the audacity to question your standing in the light that your Creator has given you? Some will even go as far as to weaponize societal norms, tradition, culture, ageism, and covert manipulation to try to convince you that you standing in your divine authority is a threat when all the while they wage war on the greatest gifts God has given you, which are wisdom, love, and peace. Have they forgotten that even God, with his infinite abilities and power to love, is also a war God? One who does not play about his anointed? One who had hardened Pharaoh’s heart, not because it was Pharaoh’s “free will” but to illustrate that no matter how hard you think you can go against what God has planned, the Supreme will always win? The spiritual lesson behind standing in your divinity is that, even when your adversaries speak ill of you and your name, punish you, and ultimately turn your community against you, as an authority, you don’t need to do anything but step aside and watch how your God handles them! The story of Joseph applies here, haha.

Earlier today, I was sitting down to reflect, and a core memory from the 4th grade was unlocked. My 4th-grade teacher, Ms. Vermong, whom we affectionately called Ms. Vee, introduced me to the brilliance of Maya Angelou, starting with her memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. The memory I had consisted of the poem "Still I Rise." I chuckled at this, as I have not thought about this poem in years, and valued the timing of this insight. The poem goes as follows:

Whether your adversary is trauma, abandonment, racism, sexism, ageism, coworkers, or your own family, this powerful poem is about the resilience, self-respect, and triumphance one achieves when properly dealing with the oppression, hate, and negativity the world may throw at you. Your divinity will never waver or disappear when this happens unless you allow it to. And when you get on the other side of this moment, you realize that it was never about that person, place, or thing, but about your ability to not only stand in your authority, but to be unbreakable and bold in your dignity! Sounds “good” to me, haha!

You may wonder why people do what they do, but remember Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.” The average human can only perceive the world through their own lived experience, and sometimes that lived experience includes illusions of reality. They have not mastered distinguishing between shadows and what’s real. The difference between what is actually taking place and their emotions about what they think they are looking at. If you are the light, they will perceive your journey of enlightenment and truth as contributing to the shadows on the wall! They will question your character because of their own internal fears and lack of education. They will be jealous of your free mind because they cannot fathom the divine perception it takes for you to see that there is no glass ceiling at all. They will even think they are doing you a favor by openly ridiculing you! When in reality, this story always ends with one who escapes the chains and finds the Sun, God. And even when you find God and try to come back and save the others, they will resist, because their perceived reality already supports their ignorance. Yet, here you are free and well, with God by your side, and there they will always be, a victim to their own shadow. They will ultimately only reside in the limited world they have created for themselves. Not that it has anything to do with you, haha.

Lastly, understand that this is not about hating those who hate you or those who try to sabotage you. Honestly, it is quite unfortunate. You cannot take them with you to the Sun, nor do they see why they should. So yes, it is unfortunate and sad, but again, this is about you being unbreakable in your belief in yourself and the permission God has given you to be of light, which is the truth! May this piece of wisdom never escape you that the truth (light) can set you free and always will. Always use your divine power to rise above the mundane.

The Chariot is a major arcana card that is astrologically linked to Cancer the Crab. Its number is VII, and its element is water. The Chariot is connected to the throat chakra, which symbolizes truth. It is associated with the meanings of victory, guidance, determination, and a fated journey. The Charioteer represents the traveler who is standing in his carriage made of stone with two sphinxes resting in front of it. The stone is indicative of his character and determination, and with the city and river behind him, he is ready for the journey he is about to take. This journey is more than just a material one, as the canopy of stars above his head, the astrological belt he’s wearing, and the crescent Moon on his shoulders illustrate that it has a mystical component. Yes, it appears that our young fellow is ready, but more importantly, he is being guided on this journey. By who? Well, I am sure you can use your imagination, haha.

The Moon rules the zodiac sign of Cancer, and this crab does have its perks! Crabs have shells that we know can serve as their protection, but they can also be their Chariot. I also like to think that the crab reminds us that the body is the only vehicle we will ever have, so it’s best to take really good care of it! Especially if enemies or chaos are lurking in the shadows, as The Chariot’s numerological link is XVI, The Tower. This is because the shadow of the Chariot is the ego and represents the destruction of self and/or our unfoundational surroundings. Now, before you get too nervous about that, haha, remember that the unification of VII is the total of IV and III. In other words, our Charioteer is the son of the Emperor (IV) and the Empress (III). If you look at the picture closely, you’ll see he is wearing his mother’s crown, and the stone is connected to his father’s throne.

Cancer Season is about embracing cardinal water, and it is here to remind you that you don’t need saving as long as you’re able to learn from your past and are willing to do whatever it takes to stay on the path that you are destined for. This season is about creating something meaningful once you fully know and embrace who you are and what you are meant to do. Be okay with letting go of your ego and the self-imposed limitations you have about who you should be and what it would look like if you did the things that would cause people to side-eye you. Whatever decisions or conclusions you come to, especially with Mercury in retrograde this season, only needs to make sense to you and if you ever have any doubts regarding what decisions to make or what journey to take, look at your past, look at your parents, and above all, ask God is what you’re doing bringing you beyond the city and river or is it keeping you stuck there?

Hello, darlings! We had the New Moon in Gemini on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, at 10:54 pm EST. What has the past couple of days been like for you? I’ll tell you when it comes to me, my hometown is winning, and I am bragging about it! If you’ve been living under a rock, you may not have heard about why the streets of New York are celebrating. I believe it is a part of my good Samaritan duty to tell you why. On Saturday, June 13th, the New York Knicks won the championship after 53 years! And if you didn’t know, the Knicks are definitely a Gemini team as they were founded on June 6th, 1946. Coincidence? Talk about bringing in a new energy with a fated victory! Not only was this victory fated, but the energy was right! People were saging MSG, Wu Tang Clan blessed us with a performance, and Spike Lee’s aura definitely brought things full circle. This made me wonder, in what ways has life been aligning things for you to enjoy, especially after a long period of hard work, failure, and internal doubt? Have you noticed that when it really comes down to it, it’s all about mind over matter?

If you’re a mutable sign, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, you may have felt somewhat of a mindset shift! You’re seeing things differently, and it’s for no other reason than understanding that life is great just as it is, and if you think it’s not, you can always work on changing your viewpoint. Everyone deals with a certain amount of mental clutter from time to time, but the youthfulness of Gemini reminds us that it is okay to find a way to play and be curious even in a pile of mess! In the case of the Knicks, can you imagine the great optimism and the pressure to perform this year? Especially after making it so far and having all these celebrities breathing down your neck, haha. Not to mention the fans outside going straight crazy! To work through that is insane, yet they still managed to do something that could not be done in over 50 years, while upholding the legacy of the team and for all those who played, thought it was possible, and actually prayed for a night like this to happen! That’s the thing about Gemini, there are always two sides to a coin. If you are struggling with your new reality, now is the time to take it easy, literally! In the words of the Joker, “Why so serious?”

How we show up in the world is important, but it is equally important that we don’t forget the fun of being alive! Work will always be work, but brainstorming new goals for yourself and visualizing your future are great ways to turn any frown upside down. Play time, in fact, isn’t over; it just needs a scheduled time and place. The New Moon in Gemini wanted us to be as truthful as can be, not necessarily with others, but with ourselves! Truthful about our feelings, truthful about how things have changed, and truthful about the mindset we need to embrace that leads us to happiness and joy. This new mindset comes with a full mental reset, which is just in time for Mercury going retrograde in Cancer on June 29th. Oh, yes, she’s coming, haha! Isn’t it ironic that the universe is allowing us to get our mind right before we are about to analyze the sh*t out of how we feel, our emotions regarding home, family, past intimate relationships, and the present ones? And not to worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds, as long as you’re willing to do this one very thing: face both sides of the same coin! In other words, are you comfortable realizing that everything is all good, no matter how messed up someone or something could’ve been, and that now that adequate time has passed, you see that they or the situation wasn’t the only thing adding to the problem? If you’ve been holding on tightly to trauma and drama, let go, baby.

This would be a great week, and over the season, to reflect, but more importantly, to journal your emotions and feelings. Reading old journals and diaries from high school (if you have them) would also be a great exercise or at least something to think about, as you can reflect on whether your emotions were valid or if you were, in fact, being overdramatic, haha. You can see the aftermath and be proud of yourself for how you faced the very things you thought you couldn’t, only for you to be okay in the long run. Reflections like this are also why I love being a New Yorker: we know that no matter how hard things get or what we have to go through, there is always a party, a victory, or a celebration on the way. However, most importantly, even in times of strife and opportunity, LOVE is always in the room. Or, in the words of pop culture’s television legend, Carrie Bradshaw, “So maybe it won’t look like you thought it would in high school, but it’s important to remember that love is possible. Anything is possible. This is New York.”

If you have been on Threads, you know that Spiritual Threads has been nice, nasty, and hot! Makes sense since we are rapidly approaching Summer. Spiritual influencers have been going back and forth about what and who is ethical, and depending on whose side you fall on, your discernment is being questioned. Not by me, but I guess the people who believe they have the authority to say such things, haha. The back-and-forth is somewhat cringey, and it is also eye-opening to just how much work must be done to create more sustainable harmony on platforms with major or successful spiritual practitioners. However, I am confused about the surprised reactions everyone has had to the girls being confrontational, messy, and whatever else their hearts desire. I recently wrote about “The Spiritual Lesson Behind the Decline of Solid Female Connection in Sacred Tradition,” where I pretty much stated that when we don’t like or feel deeply bothered by another female practitioner, it’s something we don’t like about ourselves. In other words, the call is coming from inside the house, and if so, can we accept that? If we truly understand how personal and individual the spiritual journey is, is it a reach to say that the external chaos manifesting is the result of the individual’s internal walls?

Just because life gets a little wild with drama does not mean we are any less aligned with what we are supposed to experience to mature and evolve. Sometimes it is those very moments that not only shape who we are, but are part of our predestined path! Especially if there’s a repeated lesson that we must experience because we simply aren’t getting it! There is no set way to be “Spiritual”; however, there is a way that you can present yourself. Now, this could be tricky if you feel your Creator is calling you to take action in a certain way, or if you recognize that not everyone will like you or what you have to say! However, there is a darker side to this, where people who may be experiencing psychosis claim to be sharing knowledge on behalf of a higher divine source when it really comes from their own ego. More specifically, spiritual psychosis is when a person experiences standard psychotic symptoms—such as delusions about spiritual truths, paranoia, or hallucinations—but interprets them through a spiritual lens. There is no way to really tell, but I’d like to think that if the message is coming from Source, God will also allow your audience to soften to receive it. Then again, there is that whole “free will” thing, haha. Since spirituality is not religion, and since there are no rigid expectations about what is the right or best thing to do, we cannot use the rules of religion where they do not apply. Spirituality is individual and personal, whereas religion is an institutionalized system that adheres to more strict dogma that usually enforces how one should act and what is considered good behavior. Now, that does not mean the quality of someone’s character and intent is not questioned in spirituality, but let’s say it is a tad more nuanced. No one is perfect; we may have different problems, but when it comes to a massive online platform, what do we expect from spiritual practitioners and devotees who inform the masses?

A code of conduct is never a bad thing! Creating a guideline for what is considered acceptable in spiritual conversations on public platforms is a good place to start. Not every conversation is for the internet when it comes to messages from Source, ancient wisdom, and tradition. You can leave it for the in-person workshops, one-on-one consultations, meet-and-greets, or the kitchen table. Why? Simply because, in the wrong hands, this information can be harmful, and if we are having these conversations carelessly for the sake of triggering people or trending, that is equally as harmful. Let’s say we have a spiritual message about something closely tied to politics, culture, or sociology. The fact is, not everything is a channeled message; there should be some information, a book, some data, or an elder to back up what you’re saying! For example, if I were to state that there is nothing wrong with being homosexual as long as there is a balance of both female and masculine energy, I can support what I am saying through the countless testimonies and research of spiritualists, mediums, and diviners that I know. However, I can also tell you as an experienced medium that there are select individuals whose spirit guides and ancestors suggest that they do not engage in same sex relationships. It’s not because they are homophobic, but because the destiny of the person can only be achieved by avoiding this lifestyle, which is also a fact! This should not be viewed as harmful, better yet, hurtful, because the spiritual journey is personal; you should know that you may not have the opportunity to do whatever, whenever, or however you want if you are to be in alignment with your personal destiny. A more specific example is in IFA, where there is the concept of AYANMO. (I will discuss this in another post) Still, there’s “free will”, and you get to say “f*ck off” to all of that, haha. Just keep this in mind: everything we receive from Spirit will be confirmed! Every healer, devotee, practitioner, and so on KNOWS THIS.

The truth is, the spiritual girlies are fighting because there is a lot of work we must do on the inside, individually. And it may start with the expansion and grounding of our spiritual knowledge. Whether you are the person receiving the message, giving the message, or witnessing the exchange that follows, there is no denying that the feelings that have come to the surface reveal exactly what we are dealing with on the inside. In these moments, we are being presented with the opportunity to empathize, explain, and come together regardless of whether we don’t agree. And hopefully, everyone learns something new! It is also more than okay to decide that you can let bygones be bygones with no further interaction with the person if you feel you have seen or heard enough, and more importantly, tried your best! Human connection is important on our spiritual journey, but so is detachment and learning to coexist with people and factors we wouldn’t want close to us, while accepting that they’re alive and well. Perhaps that’s the most important lesson behind the spiritual girls’ fight: to better understand where and amongst whom you belong, with no judgment of those who fall short of your expectations. Once that place has been found and peace achieved, you’ll see a lot more peace than thumb thugging.

We have officially entered the era of the mutable air sign known for either being loved or hated, but what this season is supposed to show us is how much we can love the parts of ourselves that we might hate. You know what I'm talking about! Mindset is important when it comes to the sign of Gemini, and that may be attributed to its planetary ruler being Mercury. The exchange of information and how it is processed is a huge part of being a Gemini, even if that information is the internal self-analysis of our experiences and choices. Going inward and being reflective while also going outward and being responsive, and how it is okay for this time to be full of contradictions. Why? Well, because whether we like it or not, IT IS WHO WE ARE. We've allowed one friend to get away with so much more than others, based on the connection or how much we love them. I have always viewed women like water—a daily necessity of life and the most accurate mirror into ourselves, flaws and all. As a spiritual practitioner, it is never my intent to be critical of women. With that said, you already know what’s coming next, haha. I have questions! Throughout my journey, countless women who are a part of different spiritual lineages from Africa to the United States to Asia, shared with me the countless times they have been betrayed by “spiritual girlfrends” or women in general, in ways they found shocking and confusing, but more importantly, how these experiences have scarred them. From their point of view, the “therapy talk” and a sprinkle of wisdom quotes could have been a setup to lure them to their demise. I have experienced some interesting dynamics myself within these spaces, but I always thought it was more of an individual character flaw than a “women against women” thing. After all, as a Pisces Sun, I am not above ghosting people without explanation! This piece is not about judgment, but my genuine curiosity about why we are collectively having these experiences and what the spiritual lesson behind them is.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that women sacrifice a great deal for their families, communities, work, and more. With that said, who better than women to know the power and love behind how we show up in person and for our girls! It’s hard to fathom that the term of endearment “sis” is weaponized, inviting unsolicited advice at the wrong times, demanding conversations from those who aren’t self-actualized, and requiring us to hold space for others who may not even like or support us. There’s also this observation of doing “the greater good” for “performance” rather than genuine concern or care. Some women actually hold back from seeking meaningful connections with others out of fear that a single wrong association could ruin their reputations! I have had my fair share of incidents where I thought a clever joke, transparency about an issue, or actions I took to demonstrate how I cared for another person blew up in my face or temporarily burned me. Spirituality is personal and such a huge part of how we live; should we treat it like a corporate job and be highly selective about what we are willing to reveal about ourselves? Maybe all areas of life require this sort of gymnastics because, at the end of the day, people are people. However, as much as there are people who are “nice nasty,” where are all the solid women offering a real, solid connection in a solid space?

“Solid” is a slang term and means “to be reliable, trustworthy, and firm.” According to Urban Dictionary, solid means “someone who stands by your side and never folds, no matter what.” Another definition of solid is a real blessing. “Do me this solid.” Now, can we find this amongst women in sacred tradition? Absolutely! For how long, that is the real point of investigation. If you are a devotee, you usually spend a lot of time with others in your spiritual community, whether through collaboration or service. A lot of us simultaneously have put ourselves through school, have great careers, passports, and are anchors for our families. We know how to play the game and how to move in a room full of vultures. However, are we now required to be even more vigilant as we enter these spiritual spaces with women who we feel are gifted and here with much purpose? What happens when no one wants the help, doesn’t see the problem, or worse, wants to make you public enemy number one? Another layer to this is when men are involved.

We all know the performative “girl’s girl”, the “I am for women, but am obsessed with male validation”, and “I didn’t know how to be honest about something you said, so I ghosted” girlfriend. If we are honest, something was always off about the situation, especially when there is this annoying and frustrating continuous occurrence, where women in tradition will believe everything a man says without question, while giving female devotees and initiates a hard time! Add in the components of jealousy, insecurity, or my personal favorite, competition, and you’ve got yourself some juicy drama! Actually, my personal favorite is when they are really mad at themselves for something they chose to do, but have tried to find a clever way to project their loss onto someone else. It appears we were NOT taught how to maintain connection across life’s many stages, especially if those stages involve exposure and vulnerability. At first, I thought people’s disregard for women was unintentional and due to comfort, since women are associated with nurturers. However, there is such a thing as being too comfortable. Women are regarded as the reason we are all here; we appreciate and use their divine power, but forget it once they are not who we think they should be, which is funny because we are taught the pride of honoring one’s clan. You know, your people, your family, and friends. No one comes before the clan. In the modern world, it’s more like “ no one comes before the penis!” or “no one comes before my ego!” Jokes aside, I am just pointing out that, no matter who, what, or where has entered the chat, if something is firm, it is usually strong and unwavering.

After writing this, it seems I have also made a shit ton of observations surrounding the questions I have! Now, here is what I think is the grand spiritual lesson. Maybe we need to accept, given the societal pressures on women, that most women cannot be solid friends; however, if they have the space, it may be a privilege to be one. The truth is, it’s not in everyone’s capacity to be solid; maybe becoming reliable, trustworthy, and firm takes time and effort. Even if it appears only to be the case in our dynamics with women, rather than being a problem, perhaps it is just a way to redirect those who can be more. Our mishaps with women are an invitation to go inward. The elders say you will experience the same thing over and over until you have finally learned your lesson. So horror of horrors, could it be our connection with women is off because unconsciously we are exploiting or disregarding them in ways we have done to ourselves? That being said, this is not about women but an invitation to explore our own fickleness until we become solid within our own being. We could say that the solid woman with whom we have a solid connection lives within ourselves. The mirror we look into as we experience these dynamics could be more jarring, not because someone did something to us, but because we sign up for the same roles more often than we are willing to admit. Learning the same lessons with different people, because we have truly yet to change and evolve.

The ultimate spiritual lesson that our spiritual journey teaches is that the greatest friendship or connection you should always seek to improve is the one you have with yourself. Instead of us making women the reason for our scars, maybe we should thank them for revealing to us the very thing we are hiding deep down: a lack of self-mastery.

I love reading about the Moon phases and a woman’s menstrual cycle. Truly, with the Moon as my chart ruler and my love for anything woo-woo, it is a real gift to combine the two for my desired outcomes. There is a lot of information out there about what it means for your cycle to sync with the Full and New Moon phases, but it is mostly centered on how powerful you are. As I appreciate the ego boost, what about those who don’t need it? What about those who want to know what work is required to feel powerful? Most articles I’ve read emphasize the Full and New Moons. I totally get it, but if our spiritual routine doesn’t have a solid framework, how do we expect to yield the results we are looking for? It’s like a relationship; if your partner only kissed or made time for you once a month, would you be in a relationship much longer? Maybe some of you, haha. However, what about your own personal relationship with the Moon? These articles get very cliche in the sense that they make it all about who you think you are instead of doing the work necessary to have a relationship with these beautiful lunar phases. The lunar phases speak to more than where your power lies; they speak to the spiritual work that must be done to be aligned with the ability to receive the fruits of your magic. Not to mention, what about the other phases, such as the Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, and Waning Crescent?

It is worth mentioning that even though your cycle is synced with the Full or New Moon, the most “powerful” time for your menstrual cycle may actually be the Moon phase under which you were born. I know this would be a hot take for some of you, but think about it for a second. If I want to do a powerful ritual, I would work with my own stars (natal or transit chart) and my own Moon phase. Keep in mind, I am a Black Indigenous American woman who has African and European ancestry, so my perspective will be a little different. And speaking of being a little different, let’s discuss the differences between the Moon phases, what they mean, and the work that should be done (if at all) while you are experiencing your menstrual cycle during any of these lunar phases.

New Moon = New Beginnings.

The sky is dark, more in a woo-woo, mystical way, haha. A time for something young, fresh, and new. Reflection, planting seeds, putting ideas and thoughts in a journal, or on sticky notes. Outline of a plan, to-do list, petitions, and calendar scheduling. Resetting or refreshing your altar, Moon water, lighting incense, cleaning, and decluttering your space and home. This phase is more about clarity from reflection and less about outward action. However, cleanliness is not optional if you’re really trying to call in the new-new.

Waxing Crescent Moon = Intentional Building.

We see a sliver of light under this phase. Setting new intentions and magnifying your focus. Staying optimistic and building momentum behind the intentions you’ve set under the New Moon. Re-reading or re-writing petitions, reviewing transit charts to produce positive results, and performing affirmations to help manifest your dreams and desires. Spending time with God, your ancestors, spirit guides, plants, and crystals.

First Quarter Moon = Taking Action!

Half the Moon is illuminated, which means there’s a 50 percent chance of an opportunity, and the other 50 percent could be obstacles—staying focused and committed to your desired outcome while maintaining spiritual hygiene. Making sure altars are clean, spirits are satisfied, and messages are discerned, and that the spiritual routine of prayers, invocations, and offerings is done and taken care of.

Waxing Gibbous Moon = Refined Alignment.

Light continues to grow, and it appears our Moon is 75% illuminated. The key here is to trust the process and have patience. In the meantime, perform divination to see what prayers and offerings have been accepted. Notice and align with what is for you by paying attention to the results or lack thereof. Make sure what you are asking for matches the energy that is needed to receive it. Doing more of what works!

Full Moon = Harvesting.

The Moon is fully lit, baby! We have reached our peak in clarity about what our emotions have been trying to communicate. Once you have acknowledged what can be left behind, release it. Harvest the intentions needed to stay aligned with what you have been cultivating. Charge crystals, journal, pull some cards for specific messages, pay attention to the themes of the house the Moon is transiting for you, and create moon water.

Waning Gibbous Moon = Performing Mindfulness.

The light begins to decrease under this Moon phase. Introspection, self-analysis, and thinking of ways to cultivate self-mastery. Outlining your goals, practicing gratitude, and giving praise to the Most High. A great time to listen to podcasts or read books that involve wisdom and looking at things from a higher vantage point. Sharing what you’ve learned with others will also give you massive aura points!

Third (Last) Quarter Moon = Cutting Cords & Realigning Our Energy.

The Moon’s illumination has decreased further, leaving it halfway lit. Release of habits that are not aligned with what you have prayed for, want to manifest, or that are blocking you from being the embodiment of what you’ve envisioned. Perform cord-cutting, bitter baths, and cleansing rituals to remove what is harmful—a great time to reassess your goals and clear clutter mentally, emotionally, and physically. With baths for calmness and coolness of the head.

Waning Crescent Moon = Submission.

A little darkness returns. Rest. Bed rot or do nothing if you need to consider that you have done all the work necessary in these previous phases. Resting will be crucial as you prepare for the next cycle. Attract with your mindset, no literal action necessary. Surrender to what is happening around you and within you.

Now, I want to make a few things clear, since we have discussed the Moon’s different phases. Number one, as a Black-Indigenous woman, if you do not want to do sh*t while on your menstrual cycle, you don’t have to! Technically, this is a time when others should be taking care of you! However, we are in the modern world, and sometimes that is not always possible. There is work, there is laundry, and a lot of other things that need our attention. However, promise yourself that while you are committing to the ways and routines of the material world, you also honor your spiritual one and use it to perform these lunar rituals, since without a doubt, while you are on your period, your magic will be amplified, hot, but amplified! Yes, you will give the best readings if you are a diviner on your period, you will perform some of the most powerful candle magic (be careful and only perform if you are a skilled practitioner), depending on the day of your period, and your spiritual work under certain lunar cycles and transits will be the most powerful, of course, given your consistency and intention.

Nature and the Moon give us everything that we need to grow, release, and renew ourselves. When we think of “The Big Picture,” it is best to acknowledge the loop of Intention, Action, Peak, and Release. This is what I find so beautiful about the Moon: she is like a gas tank. She will get you to where you need to go, as long as you’re willing to fill up your tank! Again, think of the Moon phases as if you were starting a relationship. If your partner did things like saying ‘thank you,’ taking you out, or paying you any attention only once a month, would that be enough? There is not just one phase that involves release, and planning with intention is not a one-time thing. This is the spiritual framework you should commit to if you want to feel and be your most powerful self. No archetypes are necessary when doing the work and knowing who you are and where you come from. And just as a phone needs a charge, little by little the Moon begins its illumination, becomes full, and then starts over again. This is how you should view your menstrual cycle phases by taking care of yourself and aligning with what each phase calls you to do. No need to rush, just be intentional.

What did Mary J. Blige mean when she said that she was searching for a real love? Short answer: She was referring to an intimate partner who could set her heart free, someone who would know that she was the one, and could satisfy her every need. Mary was looking for someone inspirational, someone real! Now, if you've already listened to the Post New Moon in Aries podcast, you know that I read an excerpt from the preface of Bell Hooks' book, "All About Love." In the preface and introduction, Bell Hooks admits that we never really had a concrete definition of what love means. Is love a noun, verb, or interchangeable? Who determines what love is, and must we always do our due diligence to factor in the writer's sex when teaching about love?

We learned from Bell Hooks that gender definitely does play a part in how writers and people in general view love. Perhaps love is a frequency, a vibe, or a feeling. This is why Mary’s track does something to us on a soul level, whether you identify as she, he, or they. Just like the Earth sign of Taurus, love is hard to ignore or not acknowledge, as love’s presence is solid, grounded from beyond, and generative. However, just as energy is neither lost nor destroyed, it is not always clear where this love comes from. In the second verse, Mary says,

“Ooh, when I met you

I just knew that you would take my heart and run.

Until you told me how you loved for me, you said I’m not the one.

So I slowly came to see all of the things that you were made of

And now I hope my dreams and inspiration lead me towards a real love.”

Acknowledging that she had been bewitched and was only able to confirm the lack of authenticity of this person’s love for her once they declared she was not the one, where did the love go? Better yet, where did it come from? However, peep the intuition of her knowing that they would take her heart and run. I don’t know if I am allowed to dissect this beautifully crooned masterpiece by Mary J. Still, I have to ask, if his love was in fact not present, where did Mary conjure that energy of “love” from? It’s clear she gave her heart as an act of love, but how exactly? If love does not have to be reciprocal or always present from all people, places, and things involved, is it far-fetched to believe that every ounce of love she felt actually came from her, her own divine power?

Taurus Season 2026 wants you to be truthful about how you view love and what your actions, experiences, and honest feelings reveal to you about what you consider love to be. This is an incredible proposal from the stars that reminds you of where your values really lie, not where you thought they did. Why? When the Sun is in Taurus, we have no choice but to explore where our resources come from or could come from, and that includes love! This season is for those of us who have prayed to God for a love or partner of a lifetime. Maybe a career progression that aligns with our inner purpose and overall destiny, or simply with the peace of mind that comes from truly believing and knowing that the love you've always needed is right there within you. Taurus Season 2026's Divination.

Theme: Knight of Cups.

Taurus Season wants us to open our arms when it comes to love and not to be deceived by appearance. Some of us tend to believe that suitors or potential lovers are lying to us as they approach us, as my mother calls it, “The Representative.” You know the facade, the mask! However, we too are capable of having a preconceived idea of how love is supposed to be, how we are supposed to act with it, and even what t should look like! This could be for friends, jobs, and even our society. There may be some details about your job that you don’t know. The shoe could also be on the other foot, and there are some things your job doesn’t know about you, haha! You’ll need a plan or a backup plan in case things don’t go your way, especially if the job has been hot. For some of you, saying how you feel is now or never!

Love: King of Swords.

Some of you may meet a hottie online or at work! For those in a relationship, you may find that you are truly turned on by your partner when they exhibit a dry sense of humor or a powerful intellect, which is usually hard to miss! Either way, you are encouraged to go after what you desire, hint, hint. If this month brings a more testy energy, be mindful of your words and how you say them. Spiritual Development: The Tower.

I guess with Uranus leaving Taurus for Gemini, we are getting that final collapse when it comes to our spiritual discipline. For some of you, your spiritual routine needs a tune-up; for others, you go from devotee to initiate and then really see what you’ve signed up for! To kick off the 1st of April, we will have a Full Moon in Libra at 7:12 PT at 12 degrees. Welcome to Pisces Season 2026! We have found ourselves at the final season and month of the zodiac. Depending on who you ask, the Pisces season starts on February 18th, 19th, or 20th. I believe it begins on the 20th, but either way, you've made it! Now, you're probably thinking, what's next? This is actually a great question, as we had a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius near the North Node, the introduction of the Lunar New Year on February 17th, and Saturn and Neptune are both in Aries. Then there is the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo, a.k.a. the Blood Moon near the South Node, taking place on March 3rd! Lastly, we will have a New Moon in Pisces to make sure you have definitely hit that reset button, just in case you missed it during the Solar and Lunar Eclipses!

The Stars for sure had some big plans for us to start Pisces Season off right! The Solar Eclipse in Aquarius wanted us to get our Marvin Gaye on and really think about what’s going on, especially when it comes to the collective and our humanity in general. This energy could have made you feel drained and sleepy, and you have accepted that you have grown tired of the same old crap. There is a message of needing to start over, and for the first time in a long time, we know for a fact that perhaps our worst enemy has always been the limitations we put on ourselves! Someone is laughing or kicking the air at the examples I just shared, but the truth is, we have all been there when it comes to spiritual readings. In short, we ask questions about things we already know the answer to. The reality is, our Spirit doesn’t lie to us, but sometimes we need a little grounding to believe it. Or, in many cases, you may book a reading to get the answer. However, you must understand that your Diviner, spiritual advisor, Babalawo, Iyanifa, or Woo-woo lady is not obligated to tell you what you want to hear! If you prefer to book with a charlatan, trust, you have many options, haha. If you are seeking “the real deal,” it is imperative to exercise proper etiquette during a spiritual consultation so you can get the answers you need to move through life in a way that is healthy, progressive, and, overall, aligned with your true path!

Spiritual readings are all the rage, and honestly, it’s been that way since the beginning of time. I know people try to act like they are afraid of it, but depending on where they’re at in life, everyone has interacted with or been curious about the woo! With that said, there are some things we must discuss regarding how to conduct yourself during a consultation, especially if you would like to maintain a relationship with your Diviner. Be mindful of the blatant fact that your Diviner is not a therapist, now, can they be a licensed therapist in addition to a diviner, absolutely! However, you can bet your monthly rent that there will always be a time and place during your consultation where those hats will have their turn to be worn. Meaning, when the divination is performed, if God/Spirit/Deity speaks, your Diviner is responsible for those messages they receive from above. Even if they are using their gift of tarot divination or mediumship, they must be present and focused on the agenda at hand. This part does not require personal reflections from you or your Diviner. Stay with me, haha. Then, when it comes to a conversation that you two may have regarding what has been revealed, psychology, or at least coming to a better understanding of what is at hand, can come into play. Again, there is a time and place. Which brings me to the first tip:

Tip #1: Listen without interruption. When you listen, you can hear more.

Yes, the reading is about you or is yours, but your Diviner does not work for you. They are providing a service to you, which means this is Spirit’s playground, and we are here to visit. There is a time when the park closes, haha. Sometimes a client can have so many thoughts racing through their mind, or what we call “overthinking,” that they miss the opportunity to grasp what Spirit is trying to tell them, which is usually the solution to a problem or the insight they claim to have been desperately seeking. To listen more, not only should you meditate and focus on being present before your consultation, but you should also be specific about what you are inquiring about. Now, if you’re working with a Diviner who doesn’t require you to state your problem or question to begin the reading, mentally hold on to your inquiry. At the same time, think about what you need answered or the insight you need to achieve your higher purpose. Again, you should pray or meditate on what you need from this reading before it takes place, as well as the protection you need as you agree and participate in this energy exchange. Now, if it truly doesn’t apply, let it fly, but you will never know if you’ve already made up your mind on what you want to hear. Which leads to number two:

Tip #2 Have an open mind and an open heart. Allow God to provide.

If you have all the answers and are sure about them, there wouldn’t be a need for a spiritual service. Participating in a spiritual reading, especially when you are seeking, is like agreeing with the fact that you are looking for higher guidance, so why not remain open when it comes to what you hear? I know firsthand how clients ruin their ability to elevate because they are not genuinely open to what is being said, and sometimes this is because they do not know how to interpret it. This comes from seeking Spirit’s message without knowing how to talk to Spirit! These answers are within us, and when we have trouble reaching or hearing them, or believing them, we must rely on an elder or an expert in the divination arts to help paint the picture we need to see.

They say God’s wisdom is hidden, sounds like a whisper, and is revealed only to those who are genuinely ready to receive. Cutting off your Diviner unnecessarily, talking longer than your Diviner in their one-hour service, and the constant need to “unpack” illustrate that you’re not interested in hearing God’s wisdom as much as you are interested in hearing your own voice. Which means? Your mind, your heart, and definitely your ears are not ready to receive what needs to be received. And truth be told, sometimes Spirit makes your Diviner fully aware of this, haha. This is important to consider when you think a reading is underwhelming or didn’t really tackle what you wanted. People have come to me for insight about an ex, and Spirit has instructed me not to divulge any information, even saying, “they need to be focused on other things!” And even when I’ve tried to ask for a little something to satisfy the client, the messages were never clear or consistent. Hey, I’m just the messenger! Whatever does come, understand that it may be what you need to focus on instead of feeding your ego. In other words, embrace the openness, understanding that neither YOU nor I gets to decide what God wants to talk about or what God thinks we need to hear. Your ancestors who are rooting for you damn sure care about what you want to hear, haha. Take a chill pill, haha. And above all, remember this final tip:

Tip #3: Embrace the journey. Change is a beautiful constant.

Did you know that “all the rules can change based on divination” and that even your own actions can switch the outcome of your reading? If a diviner told you that you’re being advised to leave a job or a relationship, and you continue to move forward with it, you can kiss some of the sweet blessings mentioned in the reading, bye-bye! You have changed the format or “broken the rules,” and based on that divination, the rules can become null and void. There’s a reason why IFA practitioners must do divination again if they take more than 9 days to pay for ebo from a recent reading. Things change all the time, and yesterday’s price isn’t today’s price unless explicitly confirmed, haha. When you are truly embracing the journey, that means walking with faith and releasing your attachments. A lot of people ask about people they won’t be with in 3 months; they ask for a ritual for a situation that won’t matter in a year, or worse, someone they eventually want to go back to.

Imagine trying to continue dating someone you were trying to “work” and this is not your spouse or the parent of your children. Would you tell them? Probably not, haha. Also, if you’re one of those who like to “quiz” your Diviner by not sharing any helpful information and crossing your legs (if you know, you know), do you want help or to be “wowed”? Embracing the journey means you’re not trying to control anything, because you know that, to be aligned with your purpose, you must be free. There is no need to get multiple consultations a month, consult the cards for every little thing, or think a challenge or obstacle is automatically the result of a spiritual attack from an enemy. As always, everything is everything. And what is taking place in your life is meant to be viewed as an assignment. An assignment, if done with the intention of doing your very best, your esteem, your vision, and your chances will all be up. Stay the course.

Lastly, record your readings, whether through a voice recorder or note-taking. Take a spiritual bath after every spiritual reading to prevent energy leaks and to keep necessary spiritual doors closed. Reread or relisten to your divinations as many times as you need to crack any codes, haha. Keep in mind that your Diviner is magical but also very much human. They have feelings and essential things to do, like you. Make sure to pick a reader who is professional, authentic, and above all, honest. If your intuition tells you to find a new one, do it! Be conscious of personal bias and customs, especially if you’re receiving a reading from a practitioner of an ancient tradition. Bring some rum, gin, flowers, cigars, coffee, or tea to offer to their ancestors or Spirits, in addition to your payment, if having the reading in person. If it is done virtually, don’t be afraid to extend a compliment via a written review or a tip! Make sure to give the female priestesses the same respect you would give the male ones. Get out of your head that just because they are your same gender or are known for being nurturers, that you can become overly comfortable. Again, let them do their thing and ask for their permission to unpack, go deeper, or dump before taking the initiative. It is the last month of the year, and December is helping us to refine our purpose, more specifically, a much-needed, incredibly refined shift in purpose. That’s right, darlings, the new life we are meant to embrace that was always the right road is here, and even if you procrastinate to “begin,” the timer has already started rolling! I’ve decided to title this month’s divinationscopes, “Sweet Home Alabama.” The film Sweet Home Alabama stars Resse Witherspoon, Patrick Dempsey, and Josh Lucas and it is about a young woman from rural Alabama who makes it in the big city of New York and completely reinvents herself, her image, and her values, but must return back home after receiving a proposal from her “dream man” because she is not leagally divorced from her first husband. Yes, the tea is hot, honey! Now, whether you agree that our much desired socialite should have married her dream man and leave her past in the dust for good, there is a very important message of not only can you not run from your past, but that the roots that we all have never go anywhere and more importantly, are a road map of finding and connecting our way back home. “Home” is not only where the heart is, but where the roots are. Your roots are your place of origin, culture, ancestry, and sense of belonging that shape your existence and identity. For those who are still trying to figure out where their roots are, think about all the things that make you, you. For example, I am a native New Yorker; however, my family and how I identify are very southern.
