• Inspired by my love of vintage books and their antique brown and gold covers.

• Worked flat from the right tip towards the left edge

• Delightful stitch pattern formed by passing stitches over and eyelets

• Sample is approx. 66” / 167 cm wingspan and 22” / 56 cm deep, but the size is adjustable

• Fully written instructions

• US 7 (4.5mm) needles

• The sample uses DK yarn in two colors, but you can use just one color or play with multiple colors. The pattern contains details about how to shorten or lengthen your shawl by working more or less repeats of the pattern.

The Bibliothecary shawl is worked flat from the right tip towards the left edge, with a delightful stitch pattern formed by passing stitches over and eyelets.

The sample uses DK yarn in two colors, but you can use just one color or play with multiple colors. The pattern includes instructions on how to shorten or lengthen your shawl by working more or fewer repeats of the pattern.

Pattern is also suitable for fingering and sport weight yarns (although you will need more yardage to get the same size) and perfect for highly variegated and colorful yarns.

• This shawl is designed to use up almost a full skein of fingering-weight yarn, but pattern is adjustable to suit the yardage you have available. It can also be worked successfully in lace weight or light DK weight yarn.

I’m a plant lover and I spend a lot of time surrounded by them. I’m always imagining how those elements might translate into knitting.

Inspired by foliage and worked in a leaf-shaped silhouette, this shawl combines relaxing Stockinette stitch with simple lace motifs that echo the textures found in nature.

I’m delighted to finally share it with you today.

The Green Vine Shawl begins at one tip and is shaped by increasing along one side until you reach the full width. Then, you decrease back down to the opposite tip, creating a lovely symmetrical triangle.

The lace pattern is easy and fun to knit, featuring simple yarn overs and decreases. The sample uses a skein of fingering-weight yarn, but the shawl can also be made with a thicker or thinner yarn, or with a skein that has more yardage, since the pattern is completely adjustable.

The pattern includes both throughout, so you can settle into whichever method feels most natural to you.

I am so happy to let you know that Olive Branch is now live on Ravelry!

Olive Branch is a timeless, versatile short-sleeved t-shirt. It was designed to be a true wardrobe staple. You can pair it with almost anything, from relaxed jeans to a dressy skirt. My goal was to create a t-shirt that feels as comfortable and functional as your favorite store-bought tee.

The design is worked in Stockinette Stitch and features a round neckline. The crisp twisted-ribbing finish at the hem, sleeves, and neckline highlights the clean t-shirt styling. The boxy fit is easy to customize by adjusting the length, taking it anywhere from a cropped style to a longer, more oversized silhouette.

The sample uses a silk yarn, but the design also works beautifully in other animal- or plant-based fibers, such as linen, cotton, wool, rayon, and Tencel (either pure or blended).

The t-shirt is knit in one piece, starting from the top. The yoke is worked flat, back and forth, with increases for the raglan shaping. Once enough increases have been worked for the neckline, the yoke is joined and worked in the round. When the raglan yoke is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are then worked in the round as well.

I am so happy to let you know that Macramé Pullover is now live on Ravelry!

The Macramé Pullover is knitted seamlessly from the top down, starting at the neckband. The back is raised with short rows to improve the fit. A beautiful lace and cable pattern is worked across the yoke. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and knitted individually.

The body is cropped, making it perfect to pair with a dress, a skirt, or a pair of high-waisted pants, but the length can easily be modified if you prefer a longer pullover.

The lace pattern is a combination of double yarn overs and twisted stitches, and it packs quite a punch in just a few rounds of knitting. It requires some attention, but only for a short period of time, and creates a beautiful focal point for the pullover.

The sample uses a beautiful and rustic DK-weight cotton yarn, with some little speckles of recycled denim fabric, but it also works well in silk or other plant-based fibers, such as linen, rayon, and Tencel (either pure or blended). If you prefer, you can also use wool or wool blends, this pattern is quite flexible.

I’ve been wearing mine a lot with jeans and shorts, and it’s perfect for a relaxed night out.

I’ve been growing a collection of ferns in my home for some time now. I must have around twelve pots, some in my indoor garden and some outside. Some have a graceful cloud of delicate mid-green leaves, while others are more robust, with strong, dark green fronds. They are all diva plants... their needs must be met, otherwise they will look thoroughly miserable. But I don’t mind the trouble, I’m completely in love with all of them.

This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning with a ribbed neckline. The yoke features stranded colorwork, with increases cleverly incorporated into the pattern. After the colorwork section, optional short-row shaping is added at the back to contour the shoulders and neckline for a better fit. Sleeves and body are then separated and worked from the top down.

Coral Reef is a loose and boxy tee, with a raglan-style construction that’s almost like a poncho (or swoncho?). The yoke is long and the sleeves are fitted, making it a modern addition to your wardrobe.

The tee is knitted seamlessly from the top down, with short rows to shape the front and back. It is designed to be worn with plenty of positive ease, so be sure to use the upper arm circumference as well to help you choose the correct size.

Techniques used: knit in the round (including small circumferences), increases using make one (right and left, German short rows, and place stitches on hold.

It’s designed to be warm and quick to make. A nice little treat for yourself when the weather is cold.

Beginning with a long-tail cast-on, Hermit in the Woods is worked in the round, from the bottom-up ribbed brim. The body is worked in Stockinette Stitch, using two colors to create the motifs.

Solid and contrasting colors work best to highlight the design. I chose a dark blue color paired with orange to show off the details.

Cozy and warm pullover, with a bold colorwork pattern. Using aran weight yarn, this seamless sweater works up quickly.

Notes from Nature is inspired by the colors and sounds of temperate forests around the world.

The pullover is knit top-down in the round with a round-yoke construction. The back neck is shaped with short rows for a better fit. The stranded colorwork is worked from charts and additional plain rounds can be added for better fit. After separating the sleeve sts, the body is knit in the round to the hem. The sleeves are worked last. Stranded colorwork is worked before the hem of the body and sleeves.

I wanted to make a beautiful piece, crafted to be a unique addition to your handknit collection, and I am so happy with the result. I hope you love it too!

It’s designed to be warm and quick to make. A nice little treat for yourself when the weather is cold.

A moonlight garden is a carefully curated outdoor space, designed to be enjoyed at night under the light of the full moon. The design of the garden incorporates plants with highly reflective foliage and white flowers, which appear to glow in the moonlight. Moonlight gardens also include flowers with pronounced evening fragrance, filling the air with scent and heightening the experience.

One of the most famous moonlight gardens is the White Garden at Sissinghurst Castle, designed by Vita Sackville-West, which served as inspiration for this design.

I am so happy to let you know that Set in Stone is now live on Ravelry!

Set in Stone is a cozy shawl, made with a warm and squishy bulky yarn. The secret to making this heavier shawl comfortable to wear lies in the strategic placement of increases. You’ll work two columns of paired yarn-over increases that radiate from the center neck cast-on, along with edge increases on every right-side row. This construction adds six stitches per right-side row, creating a curved shape with long, elegant points that drape perfectly around your shoulders.

Knitted with large needles and featuring simple lace, this is a fast and satisfying project you can finish in just a few days. The pattern is easily adjustable: you can repeat the lace section as many times as you like to achieve your desired length. The result is a shawl that feels dramatic, modern, and fun.

Testers had so much fun pulling some beautiful bulky weight yarn from their stash and watching those stitches evolve into a beautiful and cozy shawl. The stitch definitely gives “just one more row” energy that everybody loves. Check it out the testers projects here.

I am so happy to let you know that 15 Minutes of Flame is now live on Ravelry!

The 15 Minutes of Flame shawl is a small, stylish kerchief that can be worn in many different ways. It begins at one tip and is shaped by increasing on every right-side row until you reach the full width. Then you decrease back down to the opposite tip, creating a lovely symmetrical triangle.

I designed this shawl with the idea of making something meaningful, yet quick to knit, perfect for creating one for yourself and one to gift. I’ve always believed shawls make the best presents: thoughtful, beautiful, and one size fits all.

This is also a great stashbuster! It was originally designed using leftover fingering-weight yarn and mohair (those special odd balls many of us have tucked away). But it also works beautifully with a single strand of DK-weight yarn, offering flexibility in both texture and finish.

The pattern features striking cables and elegant slipped stitches. The main cables form a flame-like motif, created through clever shaping with increases, decreases, and bold, flowing lines.

I hope you love knitting this shawl as much as I loved designing it, and that it brings warmth and joy to whoever wears it.
