We have recommended to you the book, “Revolution: The Birth of the Greatest Nation in the History of the World” several times.

We have been reading it over this summer and landed on Chapter 30 this week. It was just serendipity that the battle outlined in this chapter happened this week, but 250 years ago.

Author Eric Metaxas relates the Battle of Brooklyn, which by all rights should have been the complete end of the little uprising by the feisty Colonialists.

Nothing was going General Washington’s way. He stood in his headquarters and watched British ships packed with thousands of soldiers arrive on American shores, far outnumbering his army. There were British loyalists inside his ranks feeding information to the Brits.

There were battles and maneuvers. Read the entire fascinating history yourself. Just know now that it was a doomsday scenario for America.

But…here’s the lesson. Washington won the battle. Against every single odd, he won.

There were decisions by the British that even today are not explainable. There was strange weather that has not been seen since in New York, at this time of year.

Unexplainable interventions allowed Washington and his troops the ability to live and fight another day. And fight they did.

Our Founding Fathers had a deep and abiding faith. They built this country and our government on that faith in God.

God intervenes. Most of the time we don’t even know it is happening.

If we all fight like hell, PRAY for help, God will help us save this country.

That is your job.

Fight by helping candidates and spreading the truth to voters.

Ford Adds Thousands of Jobs in United States as Move Away from China Continues

QUOTE: Ford is expanding production of their Lincoln vehicles in the United States, adding thousands of jobs and reducing reliance on Chinese imports.

The automaker said the move will “further strengthen Ford’s position as America’s No. 1 auto producer,” per an Aug. 12 report.

The move is expected to bring “thousands of direct and indirect U.S. jobs” as more Lincoln models are manufactured domestically.

“Lincoln is a quintessentially American brand, and Ford is America’s automaker,” Ford CEO Jim Farley said in a statement. “This wasn’t necessarily the easiest path. In fact, it’s a path most of our competitors aren’t choosing to take. But Ford builds in America because we believe in America, and we’re betting on that belief again.”

Ford currently assembles Lincoln Navigator and Aviator models in Louisville and Chicago, with some of the vehicles exported to Canada, Mexico, and Middle Eastern nations.

The policy is in part a response to the Trump administration’s automotive tariff policies.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said during an interview with Fox Business that “they’re bringing their manufacturing home.”

“Thousands of jobs, thousands and thousands of jobs coming back to America because of these tariffs on automotives.”

Kennedy Jr.held an event Monday to announce the new spending, which they say will complement a soon-to-be-finalized federal rule overhauling school meal standards.“We believe that a healthier future is within reach for all American children,” Ms. Rollins said.Mr. Kennedy said the new nutrition guidelines for school meals will reduce kids’ intake of added sugars and highly processed foods, “move children from refined grains towards whole grains [and] put high-quality protein back in the center of the plate.”

“But we also have to give schools a practical, affordable way to meet those standards,” he said. “Many of these schools have closed their kitchens years ago and do not have the facilities to actually cook on campus.”Ms. Rollins said the Agriculture Department is spending another $70 million on top of the $20 million it announced a couple of months ago for schools to upgrade their cafeteria equipment so they can cook nutritious meals.

HHS is also spending $32.5 million for a new initiative called Developing Evidence for Programs to Ensure Nutrition Development, or DEPEND, that will help schools identify cost-efficient ways to serve healthier foods within their current operating budgets.“Many schools, incidentally, across the country have already made this transition and have done it without raising their meal budget,” Mr. Kennedy said. “And we need to understand how they did that, and help other schools to follow those strategies.”

Ms. Rollins said the USDA is spending $25 million in farm-to-school grants for the upcoming school year “to get more healthy food from the farm onto students’ lunch trays.”

The new dietary guidelines will promote healthy cooking methods and 100% whole grains, whole fruit and whole milk.

“This will be the most transformative action we have taken to date for our children in this country, and frankly, for the future of America,” Ms. Rollins said.

The Trump administration wants to “put real nutrient-dense food back at the center of the American diet,” Kennedy said. Progress has already been made toward that goal as U.S. consumption of real foods rose 10-11% this year and obesity rates dropped for the first time in 40 years by about 3%, Mr. Kennedy said.

Texas will see more than 90,000 students use the state’s brand-new Texas Education Freedom Accounts for the first time this fall, the largest day-one rollout of any school choice program in history, part of a broader wave of expansion across statehouses this school year.

That momentum is real, and it’s only a preview of what’s coming. Mark your calendar for January 1, 2027, when the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit opens for business, carrying the potential to bring school choice to every state.

Just how many kids could be eligible? A new analysis from the American Federation for Children, the first to map Education Freedom Tax Credit eligibility across all states, puts the number at 51.7 million children, 91.7 percent of the entire K-12 population, should every state opt in. For states with existing choice programs, opting in adds fuel to the fire once the credit launches in 2027. For states without one, it’s their first real shot at bringing school choice home. Either way, it’s an easy call.

So far, 31 states have opted in or signaled they plan to. Opting in isn’t a guarantee every eligible child gets a scholarship — that still hinges on donor participation — but it’s the prerequisite for everything else. Without it, nothing happens.

The 31 states that have acted account for 30.9 million eligible kids, just under 60 percent of the national total, leaving 21 million children in limbo across the remaining areas. Eighteen of those states have no private school choice program to fall back on, meaning for those families, the Education Freedom Tax Credit isn’t a bonus; it’s the only door, and it’s still locked.

Those 20.8 million kids aren’t an abstraction. Their shot at opportunity comes down to whether their governor is willing to sign a piece of paper, which is why Colorado’s governor, Jared Polis, said he’d “be crazy not to.”

Blow to Dems as Federal Appeals Court Overturns Ruling Against Redistricting.

QUOTE: The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit has vacated a lower court’s ruling that Georgia’s post-2020 voting maps violated the Voting Rights Act, sending the case back for reconsideration under new legal standards. This decision means Georgia’s current district maps will remain in place for now.

The case was initially decided by U.S. District Judge Steve Jones, a Barack Obama appointee, who ruled that Georgia’s maps diluted the voting strength of black voters and ordered additional majority-black districts, benefiting the Democrats. However, the Eleventh Circuit’s decision follows the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2026 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, which effectively nullified portions of the Voting Rights Act mandating majority-minority districts as unconstitutional racial gerrymandering.

‘Appalling’: Massachusetts state rep. arrested on pandemic relief fraud charges

QUOTE: State Rep. Francisco Paulino, a Democrat from Methuen, was arrested Wednesday morning after a grand jury indicted him on charges of pandemic relief fraud, U.S. Attorney Leah Foley announced. Paulino allegedly schemed to fraudulently obtain more than $700,000 in federal pandemic-related relief funds.

He faces eight charges of aiding and abetting wire fraud and three charges of aiding and abetting money laundering.

Paulino allegedly used his tax-preparation company, the identities of others, and intermediaries to fraudulently obtain federal pandemic relief funds that were funneled into personal and business accounts, according to a 24-page indictment. Some of these dollars were used for personal expenses, real estate expenses, loan payments, and transfers to Paulino’s campaign account.

Paulino was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2022. He won reelection in 2024 and was running again in this year’s Democratic primary. His district includes Methuen and Lawrence.

Paulino’s indictment comes after another local elected official, Lawrence Mayor Brian DePeña, was arrested on wire fraud and money laundering charges related to pandemic-era small business loans. A new indictment against DePeña unsealed Wednesday includes 11 felony charges against him.

Foley addressed the “appalling” allegations against Paulino and DePeña in a press conference Wednesday.

“The money these two individuals allegedly scammed was meant for hard-working Americans and struggling business owners, not for two greedy individuals who lied and stole for their own personal benefit,” Foley said.

“Simply put, both men are accused of treating the COVID-19 pandemic as their own personal cash cows,” Ted Docks, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Boston division, said.

9- A victory for a rare warrior doctor.

Dr. Meryl Nass, was an internal medicine physician in Maine until her license was suspended for treating COVID patients with HCQ and IVM and warning the public about the side effects of COVID vaccines.

A federal judge ruled this week that Maine’s medical board had ZERO evidence when they ordered Dr. Nass to undergo a forced psychiatric evaluation — for prescribing ivermectin and speaking out against the COVID narrative.

QUOTE: A doctor’s lawsuit against Maine’s medical board can proceed, a federal judge has ruled.

An order from the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine that Dr. Meryl Nass undergo a psychological evaluation for allegedly spreading misinformation about COVID-19 was “based on no evidence or process,” including no probable cause, U.S. District Judge Lance Walker said in an Aug. 20 decision.

“I am happy to report that I will eagerly move forward with the legal case to clear my name and defend the free speech right of medical practitioners to tell the truth to their patients, especially if it goes against government or medical orthodoxy,” Nass said in a blog post.

Maine’s medical board in 2022 suspended Nass’s license after receiving a complaint from a person who was not her patient that the doctor was spreading misinformation about COVID-19 because she noted that people who recovered from the illness had protection against re-infection.

Board members also took issue with how Nass prescribed ivermectin to a COVID-19 patient and lied to a pharmacist about why she prescribed hydroxychloroquine to another patient. It was for COVID-19, not for Lyme disease.

The board ordered Nass to undergo a psychological evaluation in order to get her license back, among other conditions. The Maine Superior Court previously voided the psychological evaluation order, concluding it was arbitrary and capricious.

Nass told The Epoch Times in an email that her license remains suspended because the board imposed conditions that would have prevented her from practicing independently, including requiring her to send her charts regularly to the board for review.

“The reason I wanted a license was so that if another pandemic happened, I would be able to provide the appropriate care to patients as I saw fit, which might not be what the government recommended,” Nass said. “Since the conditions the Board imposed precluded that, I did not seek to regain the license, which remains suspended.”

Barack Obama Elementary Closes After Mold and Rodents Found

Chances are that you, like members of our staff, grew up checking out books from the library. And chances are that library was one of thousands built through the largess of American Andrew Carnegie. Prior to this incredible gift, books were a luxury that only the very rich could afford. Carnegie, an immigrant from Scotland, who providentially had rare access to a private library as a child, longed for all working class people to have free books to borrow.

It is a fad these days to trash the rich, to distain and dismiss the billionaire. But throughout history these are the people who have privately donated the money to do things that otherwise would be impossible.

America is the only place on earth where you can come as a lowly, starving immigrant to work in a cotton mill and become one of the richest men in the country’s history.

And, he is still giving!

For the 250th celebration of America, the Carnegie Foundation has given financial gifts to the libraries he built that are still being used 100 years later.

QUOTE: There’s a quiet revolution happening in K-12 education, driven by parents and teachers who say they’ve had enough.

In the Sunshine State, about 14 percent of students attend a charter school and roughly 15 percent use state vouchers or education savings accounts, and traditional public schools are gradually losing students. It’s like a slowly deflating balloon. And the teachers union says it’s reckless.

“What we’re seeing in Florida—it feels like an abandonment of public schools,” says Andrew Spar, president of the Florida Education Association.

A school called WonderHere was started 10 years ago by public school teachers Tiffany Thenor and Jessica Zivkovic. Zivkovic describes the moment she knew the system was broken: “I was teaching second grade at a different school, and our administration said that they did not want any use of crayons, scissors, coloring pages, any sort of crafting in the classroom—like everything should be paper and pencil. And this is 7-year-olds.”

She compares it to a scene in the film Matilda: “It felt like Ms. Trunchbull is coming down the hall and you have to hide all of your colorful things and all of the fun crafts and all the color. Because that’s not allowed. Those are the moments that just really taught me that the system was so broken.”

Families can also spend money from their education savings accounts at homeschool “co-ops,” which became popular when public schools shut down during COVID. Many of these new schools and hybrid learning communities and homeschool collaboratives…were sprouting all across the country, primarily created in many cases by former public school teachers who left the classroom either during COVID or shortly thereafter, and began creating their own learning communities focused around individualized, flexible, student-centered education.

7- The Trump administration just announced nearly $2 billion going directly to Christian organizations like Samaritan’s Purse for global health and disaster relief. This is the largest allocation of global health foreign assistance to faith-based groups in over 20 years which is only possible thanks to the cuts to USAID.

We have watched Samaritan’s Purse for decades as they have provided steadfast aid and support all over the world.

Obamacare Enrollment Declines by 3 Million Amid Fraud Crackdown.

QUOTE: The Internal Revenue Service issued $296 billion in refunds during the 2026 filing season, a 17% increase from the previous year, as millions of Americans benefited from President Donald Trump’s signature tax law, according to a new Government Accountability Office report.

The increase represented $43 billion more in refunds than the IRS had issued during the 2025 filing season for tax year 2024. The average refund also increased by $333, or 11%, compared with the previous year, according to the full report.

Treasury Department, IRS Unveil New Paid Family Leave Incentives

QUOTE: The U.S. Treasury Department announced new guidance on ‌Aug. 5, expanding incentives for employers to offer paid family leave for children and sick family members.

It allows employers to claim a tax credit for paid family and medical leave that was first established under President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts bill. The measure can offer businesses greater incentives to allow for up to 12 weeks of paid leave, while employees can use the leave to recover from health conditions that prevented them from working or take care of sick family members.

“Hardworking Americans should not have to choose between caring for a loved one and earning a paycheck,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement.

It should allow for “greater incentives to provide paid leave so workers can care for a newborn or other family member or recover from a serious illness without sacrificing their financial security,” Bessent said.

He also said that the guidance released on Aug. 5 “provides employers with the clarity they need to claim the enhanced credit, supporting American workers, families, and businesses.”

The policy stems from Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which expanded the paid leave tax credit as part of the broader tax and immigration package. The Working Families Tax Cuts is another name for the bill, which Trump signed into law in July 2025.

Crowley’s campaign said the 37-year-old state legislator and member of the Democratic Socialists of America called Crowley early Wednesday to concede the race. Hong trailed her rival by more than 3,200 votes out of more than 787,000 ballots cast as of 6 a.m. ET., a margin of 0.41 percentage points.

Under Wisconsin law, Hong could have requested a recount since she trailed by under one percentage point, but would have had to pay for it since her deficit was greater than 0.25 percentage points. State law does not provide for automatic recounts in close races.

Crowley, 40, was the late choice of Wisconsin’s Democratic establishment after Lt. Gov Sara Rodriguez and her predecessor Mandela Barnes dropped out of the race in recent weeks. Crowley had initially dropped out and endorsed Rodriguez last month, but re-entered the race in an effort to stop Hong after Barnes quit.

Woman saves 3 young girls from drowning in Lake Washington during Seafair weekend

QUOTE: Lillie Vehling was in the right place at the right time when three young girls struggled to stay afloat in Lake Washington during Seafair last Friday.

Vehling is in Seattle for a summer internship and was attending Seafair for the first time. While sitting in Genesee Park waiting for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels air show, Vehling noticed the three girls about 15 yards offshore.

“I was scanning the water after reading a page of my book, and I saw three kids just over the top of my book who were really struggling,” she said.

They were screaming for help, and their heads were bobbing up and down, Vehling said. She immediately recognized the early signs of drowning.

Vehling is a skilled water polo player at UC Davis and started her own swim lessons program after completing certified lifeguard training.

“I could see their faces from where I was sitting,” Vehling continued. “And they needed help.”

She ran into the water, kicking off her shoes and sunglasses. One by one, Vehling pulled each girl to shore. By the time she went back into the water for the third girl, Vehling said the child was unconscious, barely floating and tangled in the rope of a small buoy.

“You could tell that she was desperately trying to grab it to save her own life,” Vehling explained. “She wasn’t responding to me at this point, and I knew I needed to get her out of the water as soon as possible.”

Once on shore, people called 911, and Seattle Fire Department paramedics arrived to provide medical aid. All three girls are now in good health.

“To save three people, I didn’t think twice about myself,” she said. “I’m just glad everyone’s safe.”

Judge Blocks Mamdani’s Pied-à-Terre Tax After Homeowners File Lawsuit

QUOTE: A New York judge on Monday temporarily blocked NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s new pied-à-terre tax, which hits New Yorkers who own a valuable second home.

Last month, Mamdani implemented a so-called luxury property tax on second homes valued at $5 million or more. The property tax also affected certain co-ops valued over $1 million.

Mamdani doxxed the homeowners after his Department of Finance published a database listing the names and addresses of the 960,000 properties.

“As per State law, a property roll was released for public inspection. From this list, DOF will identify properties that may be subject to the new non-primary residence property surcharge,” a Mamdani spokesperson said.

Affluent homeowners said the database and doxxing could lead to harassment and violence. Homeowners filed a lawsuit in New York’s Supreme Court to stop Mamdani’s property tax

The lawsuit argues that New York City bungled the execution of the new tax by “arbitrarily and capriciously” forcing hundreds of thousands of residents to prove they do not owe the tax.

On Monday, a Staten Island Supreme Court Judge temporarily blocked Mamdani’s property tax as the lawsuit makes it way through the legal system.

DeSantis Announces Flying Cars Are Coming to Florida, and Sooner Than You Think

“I can’t promise we’ll ever be able to take you to the future, to the past,” DeSantis told reporters, a nod to the “Back to the Future” movie franchise. “But I think we’re going to be able to get you up in the air at some point in the not too distant future.”

The eVTOL stands for electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing.

Standing at a SunTrax testing facility, DeSantis framed the moment as turning a long-running sci-fi dream into an actual state project, complete with vertiports already built and aircraft preparing to lift off without runways.

He announced on social media that the Sunshine State would begin “actively testing” the aircraft by the end of the year.

Senate Committee Votes to Hold Fauci in Contempt of Congress.

QUOTE: The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted eight to seven to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief Medical Advisor to former President Joe Biden, in contempt of Congress after he invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times during a recent hearing. This paves the way for a full Senate vote on the matter.

The vote on Thursday followed Fauci’s recent appearance before Congress, where he repeatedly refused to answer questions about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite a blanket pardon from former President Biden largely protecting him from self-incrimination. Fauci invoked the Fifth in response even to questions about what day of the week it was, the color of his tie, and the color of the carpet during the hearing.

“The next step will be when we send the referral over directly to the Department of Justice,” said Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).

If the full Senate holds Fauci in contempt and he is convicted, he could face a fine of up to $100,000 and a year in jail. Meanwhile, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) has revealed that investigators have obtained Fauci’s government-issued phone, which may provide answers to questions he avoided.

Trump highlighted his administration’s economic wins in the Silver State and nationally while delivering remarks at Red Rock Casino.

QUOTE: Hundreds of Haitian immigrants who recently lost Temporary Protected Status (TPS) have been ordered to report to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices in the Springfield, Ohio, region. Many of them have left wearing ankle monitors, signaling the beginning of a deportation crackdown for the 350,000 Haitians who are no longer authorized to be in the United States.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) began sending “call-in” letters to Haitian nationals in late July, shortly after the Haitian TPS program was revoked following a US Supreme Court decision, according to the Haitian Times. TPS for Haitians officially ended on July 27.

Hundreds of thousands of Haitians received TPS status in 2024 after the Biden administration expanded the program, with many settling in Ohio.

The federal government offers TPS to immigrants who come from nations deemed unsafe to return to at the time. However, the program is meant to be temporary, not permanent.

“Temporary Protected Status is exactly that—temporary,” DHS said in a statement. “For those with terminated TPS: it’s closing time. You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here. It’s not too late to get a $2,600 check and a free flight home.”

Haitians have also lost their temporary work permits in the United States following the SCOTUS decision, making it even more difficult for them to remain in the country.

Trump signs executive orders targeting birthright citizenship and birth tourism

QUOTE: President Donald Trump signed two executive orders Thursday that attempt to restrict birthright citizenship and end the practice of “birth tourism,” in hopes of circumventing a recent Supreme Court decision.

The Supreme Court in June struck down Trump’s executive order directing federal agencies to interpret the 14th Amendment as not granting citizenship to the children of illegal migrants.

“We had a very unfortunate decision in the Supreme Court concerning birthright,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “It was close, but a very, very unfortunate decision. So we’re making adjustments because it’s very unfair.”

The order restricting birthright citizenship expands the definition of what children born in the United States would be ineligible for automatic citizenship, including children of “alien enemies of the United States, members of foreign terrorist organizations and large categories of people who lobby and act on behalf of foreign governments.”

The other order directs the State Department to issue rules and guidance to stop birth tourism, according to Axios, even as U.S. law already bans tourists from obtaining visas “for the primary purpose of obtaining U.S. citizenship for a child by giving birth in the United States.”

19 Charged in $4 Million Philadelphia Medicare, Medicaid Fraud Scheme

QUOTE: Federal and Pennsylvania prosecutors have charged 19 defendants in connection with a $4 million scheme to defraud Medicare and Medicaid, the latest sign of the taxpayer-funded waste that has long plagued government health programs.

The defendants named in the case include owners of home health care companies, their employees and Medicaid recipients who allegedly conspired to bill the government for services that were never rendered, according to prosecutors.

Investigators say the defendants billed Medicaid for home health services while recipients were behind bars, in the hospital, working other jobs or out of the country entirely. In one instance, prosecutors said, a Medicaid recipient collected payments for extensive home health assistance while simultaneously working as a carpenter, a detail that underscores how brazenly the program was allegedly exploited.

The Philadelphia case comes as Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced a plea agreement in a separate but related fraud case, in which 21 people were charged with defrauding Medicaid of more than $1.7 million. That case, like the federal one, centered on false claims for home health services that were billed but never actually provided.

The charges also arrive amid a renewed federal push to root out health care fraud nationwide, with the Department of Justice touting increased prosecutions of Medicare and Medicaid schemes to protect taxpayer dollars from what officials describe as systemic abuse within entitlement programs.

Midterms, we’ve been told ad nauseam, almost always favor the party out of power. I believe that the last time the incumbent party won in the midterms was in 2002 when George W. At the moment, all the polls have the Dems leading by a comfortable margin. As I write, the RealClearPolitics generic poll puts the Dems ahead by 7.2 percentage points. Nevertheless, I think it likely that the GOP holds the House, indeed that it extends its majority. Ditto with the Senate.

Mere wishful thinking on my part? Maybe. But consider those two weapons.

The sort-of-secret weapon the Republicans have is the Democrats. Many of their most prominent candidates are – pardon me for introducing a technical term – nuts. They are crazy, insane, bonkers, out there where the buses don’t run.

The other weapon the GOP possess is almost in the nature of a superpower. Its name is Donald Trump. Every few weeks, we are told that President Trump is finished, that MAGA (which stands, remember, for “Make America Great Again”) is history, that a more decorous normality is about to descend upon Washington. But that never seems to happen. Instead, most Trump-endorsed candidates win their primaries. Many go on to win their elections. The Wall Street Journal joked that President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize because he has, on his own accounting, won the war with Iran something like nine times. That is amusing. But the reality is that President Trump, with the conspicuous help of Israel, actually has won the war.

Henry Kissinger once said that the only time you could trust the Iranians to negotiate candidly is when they had run out of ammunition. That is probably true. But they have, for all intents and purposes, run out of ammunition. We took it out. It is possible that a further strike or two will be necessary, but there is not much left to strike. It is endgame time in Iran. The market will soar, the price of gasoline will fall, the GOP will extend its majority in both the House and the Senate.

8- The ‘mother’s milk of politics’ is NOT in short supply for Republicans.

Cash is king: Washington Republicans bankroll midterms as National Democrat coffers are in the red

QUOTE: On the heels of President Donald Trump’s Tuesday fundraiser in Los Angeles, and with the November midterms less than 100 days away, Washington Republicans hold a commanding financial edge over Washington Democrats that could prove decisive in key races for control of Congress. The Republican National Committee reported more than $128 million in cash on hand at the end of June with no debt, while the Democratic National Committee had about $16 million in cash and roughly $18.5 million in debt, leaving it in the red.

The disparity extends to other national party committees and aligned super PACs, giving Republicans nearly double the cash of their Democratic counterparts overall, not counting additional resources from groups linked to Trump.

The fundraiser in California was part of a two-day western swing for Trump in which he headlined a closed-press RNC fundraiser at his golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, before traveling to Las Vegas to discuss the economy, seeking to boost party coffers and highlight administration achievements ahead of the midterms.

Despite the money disparity between the national parties, Democrats running for office in the November midterms or seeking reelection are successfully raising money.

The Democratic-aligned fundraising platform ActBlue recently reported that it had raised $586 million for candidates in the second quarter of 2026 alone, including $215 million raised in June. That figure included contributions from 573,000 first-time donors.

While money does not guarantee victory in every contest — presidential races have occasionally gone to lower spenders — the correlation remains strong in House and Senate battles where television, digital ads and field operations shape outcomes.

QUOTE: Global greening due to CO2 has hit a new record high, according to the latest research published in Nature. But activists refuse to accept that the ‘climate emergency’ has failed to materialize, says Chris Morrison. Global mean vegetation greening reached a record high last year, extending an already significant multi-decade upward trend, according to recent findings published in Nature.

In fact, 2025 set a record for global vegetation greening with a steepening of the average trend. Top of the list with 77.6% showing extra greening was croplands, meaning more food is becoming available to boost global diets.

This greening story – a tale that gets more impressive every year – is largely absent from the mainstream media. It was certainly missing from a recent climate contribution from Sandwich-board Stanley (a.k.a. Tim Stanley of the Telegraph) who made an unsourced claim that one third of the agricultural production of Bangladesh “is feared to vanish by 2050”. Happily, there is no sign of that invented fear coming true since agricultural production has more than doubled in the country since the turn of the century. Notes Stanley: “The evidence is stacking up – we only have to look out of our windows,” a comment that suggests journalists hired to broadcast opinions and beliefs should steer well clear of science where data and facts are given a higher priority.

Back in the real increasingly verdant world, the Nature-published scientists note that herbaceous ecosystems such as grasslands and crop fields dominate the greening signal. 72.1% of grasslands showed greening while the overall satellite data reveal 68.% of the total vegetation area showed improvement, up from the previous record set last year of 67.7%. Greening ‘hotspots’ were observed in southern Africa, southern South America, northern Australia, Europe, central North America and northern China. Some ‘browning’ was observed in eastern Siberia, and this was attributed to anomalously cold growing-season temperatures.

As noted, mainstream media is largely absent from covering the sensational greening of the Earth – for obvious reasons, of course, since it detracts from the hard Left political message hammered home daily to promote the Net Zero fantasy.

10- This is one path to more balanced news. It also helps expand local coverage which has all but disappeared. Local media is needed to hold city and state government accountable.

FCC Clears Path for Expanded TV Station Ownership.

QUOTE:The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has voted to relax limits on TV station ownership.

In a 2-1 vote, the FCC has allowed companies to own local stations covering more than 39 percent of households in the United States. The FCC also voted to allow companies to own more than two stations in a single market if deemed in the public interest. The vote was held on Thursday.

“Viewpoint diversity” will reportedly be factored in when determining public interest. The purpose of removing the cap is to allow broadcasters to achieve scale and compete with broadcasting giants like Netflix. The cap removal was also framed as a way to help local journalism expand.

The change to the cap comes as traditional television faces declining viewership and revenue due to the popularity of streaming, which accounts for over 40 percent of all viewership, according to Nielsen, a major audience research firm. “Local broadcasters are struggling in terms of audience and revenue, and this plan could give them some needed relief,” said Jeff McCall, professor of communications at DePauw University.

“In my view, if you care about trusted sources of local news and information, you have to care about the future of local TV stations. They are the economic engines that produce the paychecks for so many of the local journalists that remain in the business. So how can the FCC maximize the odds that those institutions continue to survive and hopefully thrive into the future? To start, we should stop hamstringing this one segment of the broader market with outdated restrictions,” said FCC Chairman Brendan Carr.

This will allow local media to consolidate into larger entities capable of staying competitive. The decision is expected to reshape the broadcasting industry.

Removing the cap was first proposed back in July. “When it comes to broadcast news, our country could do with a little less Hollywood and a little more local reporting from communities across the country,” said Carr at the time.

“Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable,” the attorney general remarked on social media before making the announcement. “My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. It’s past time we get the truth of what happened during COVID.”

On his other social media account, Uthmeier added, “If he lied, and it resulted in physical and economic harm to countless Americans, billions of taxpayer dollars in ‘medical expenses,’ and learning-loss for our next generation, there should be accountability,” he said.

US has enough coal for 600 years, new federal data shows

QUOTE: If all the coal resources beneath the federally managed public lands in the U.S. were used, the nation wouldn’t run out for at least six centuries, a report from the U.S. Geological Survey estimates.

The Department of Interior released the report on Thursday, which estimates that there are 4.2 billion short tons of coal reserves associated with active mines and another 356 billion short tons of available coal resources.

“American Energy Dominance is more important than ever, and so is beautiful clean coal’s role in the production of electricity needed to fuel our future prosperity,” Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, said in a statement.

Wyoming’s annual coal production remains the highest in the country. Of 34 miles on federal land, 14 are in Wyoming, and the Cowboy State holds 87% of the reported coal reserves associated with active mines on federal land.

Trump Administration Launches New Interagency Campaign Led By Secretary Duffy Recruiting More Veterans to Drive Big Rigs Ahead of National Hire a Vet Day

The new initiative – called Freedom Haulers – is a patriotic hiring campaign that educates veterans on how there’s never been a better time to join the trucking industry, outlines why veterans backgrounds make them a great fit for the job, and connects them with resources to seamlessly transition from service to driving a big rig.

War Department drops $10M for skilled trades program

QUOTE: The U.S. Department of War awarded a $10 million contract on Thursday as part of its Build Freedom project, an effort to develop workers for the skilled trades.

The War Department gave the check to Mike Rowe, an American television host of “Dirty Jobs,” to support the mikeroweWORKS Foundation Scholarship program. The program funds scholarships for veterans to train for skilled trades jobs including plumbers, electricians and welders.

Rowe coordinates the program through BuildFreedom.US, a website that compiles open job opportunities in the skilled trades sector. The website connects veterans with scholarships and educational materials to support transition into the skilled trades sector.

“These jobs are in demand like never before, and they don’t require a college degree,” Rowe said. “My foundation has the money to help you get the training you need.”

Michael Cadenazzi, the assistant secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy, said the COVID-19 health crisis and other societal incentives have pushed people away from skilled trade jobs. He said the U.S. military has struggled as a result of fewer people interested in the skilled trades.

“We’re talking about building careers for the future,” Cadenazzi said. “AI-proof, six-figure jobs and the ability to work across the country and to really meet a demand for the future.”

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projected employment in construction and extraction operations is projected to grow faster than the average for all other occupations from 2024 to 2034. Each year, about 649,300 new jobs are opened on average.

Trump Activates Dormant ‘Alien Terrorist Removal Court’ to Deport ISIS Supporter.

The court has been activated as part of an effort to deport Nazira Haji Zada, an Afghan woman accused of supporting ISIS. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has alleged that Haji Zada supported Islamic State (ISIS), pledged allegiance to it, and indoctrinated her son and son-in-law into ISIS ideology. Her son and son-in-law have since been convicted of plotting a terrorist attack on Election Day 2024.

According to federal law, the government is allowed to deport non-citizens who have engaged in or supported terrorist activities. Haji Zada has been a lawful permanent resident in the U.S. since 2018, although she does not have citizenship. The court was created under the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996, but has never heard a case. Importantly, the court can consider classified evidence while shielding sensitive intelligence in working towards its decision. “The allegations in this case show the matriarch of an ISIS-sympathizing family aiding in a plot to launch a mass casualty attack on American voters on Election Day,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

“Congress created the Alien Terrorist Removal Court three decades ago to remove from the United States alien terrorists who never should have been here in the first place.” – Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

This is the first time that the court has been activated, having been dormant since its creation in 1996. The outcome of the case could determine whether the court becomes a regular device in deportation operations, particularly when dealing with foreign-born extremists who are permanent residents.

Pro-Life Christian Father Subjected to Armed Raid Under Biden Wins Major Settlement.

QUOTE: The Trump administration has reached a seven-figure settlement with Tennessee pro-life advocate Paul Vaughn, whose home was raided by heavily armed Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents in 2022 as part of the Biden-Harris regime’s enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act against pro-lifers.

Vaughn, a Christian father of 11, had been charged over his participation in a 2021 protest outside an abortion clinic that included prayer and hymn singing, and he was later sentenced to six months of house arrest before receiving a presidential pardon from President Donald J. Vaughn said the experience strengthened his Christian faith. Crampton said additional settlements involving other pro-life activists could follow, and renewed calls for Congress to repeal the FACE Act, describing it as unconstitutional and vulnerable to political misuse. The House Judiciary Committee previously approved legislation to repeal the law, although the measure has not advanced further in Congress.

Trump Cracks Down On Foreign Students Subverting America

QUOTE: A new rule the Trump administration published earlier this month is finally addressing the flood of foreign students at U.S. universities plagued by anti-American ideology. Half a million of these students are illegal aliens, while more than a million additional college students are here on student visas, overwhelmingly from non-Western countries having political systems unlike or opposed to ours.

Trump has just ended this racket. Under a new rule issued by Trump’s Department of Homeland Security, most new F-1 students will receive visas that expire after a fixed period of time, usually four years. This puts healthy pressure on universities and students to reach the finish line as scheduled, rather than dawdle indefinitely in the academic cocoon. The average length of time in graduate studies has ballooned to more than seven years for a Ph.D., which harmfully causes students to delay having families and finding employment.

For half a century foreigners could enter graduate programs and take many years, far more than four, to complete their doctoral programs while remaining in the U.S. without any deadline to leave. The F-1 visa program has been allowing foreigners to remain on visas here for the “duration of their status” at their university, with no time limit.

Trump is also cutting back on the period in which foreigners may linger in the U.S. after completing their programs, reducing it from 60 to 30 days. International students who line up jobs here can seek other visa programs, but most should be returning to their homelands.

Even before the new rule takes effect, universities are complaining about a decline in international students in graduate programs, which they attribute to Trump’s occasional travel bans and freezing of some federal grants. The drop in K-12 enrollment (which is mostly due to the declining birth rate) means there will be fewer American students in the pipeline for universities in the future.

But the problem isn’t travel bans or Trump’s new rule ending decade-long stints in college. Universities have only themselves to blame if there is a shortage of American students. Left-wing political ideology dominant at universities leans strongly against child-rearing. If more students are wanted for the future, then there should be more encouragement now by academia for Americans to have and raise their children.

NOTUS: The Democratic National Committee put its physical headquarters up for collateral last year in order to obtain a $15 million line of credit to help invest in off-year elections, according to D.C. deed records not previously reported. The building, located in Southeast Washington and partially owned by the DNC, has been used as collateral in the past, including in other election cycles.

That the DNC had to do so again ahead of the 2026 elections to obtain its biggest-ever off-year loan raised concerns among some members that it was further evidence of its intensifying financial strain. The DNC did not explicitly declare the building as its collateral in its monthly or loan-related filings to the Federal Election Commission.

“Ken gaslighting us about the DNC’s finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime,” said a DNC member, granted anonymity to discuss the issue candidly.

This is not the first time the DNC has borrowed against its assets to bulk up its war chest in election years, but it takes place as DNC Chair Ken Martin is campaigning to save his position after a disastrous election year in 2024 and amid very poor fundraising.

Giuliani told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.

Giuliani spoke with Breitbart News in Indianapolis following an event featuring HUD Secretary Scott Turner, where officials from the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Health and Human Services, Education, and Labor joined the NFL to announce a memorandum of understanding focused on youth academic participation, healthy living, and workforce development in underserved communities.

Asked about the task force’s biggest success, Giuliani told Breitbart News, “Over the last month and a half, Americans fell in love with the World Cup, but really, it was the world that fell in love with America again.”

“When you think about the president’s vision back in 2018, in the 45th presidency, to land this World Cup, he understood that there was this unbelievable opportunity during our 250th birthday to take a platform like the World Cup [and] be able to show the world what Americans’ freedoms mean,” Giuliani said.“You know how he always talks about America First is not America only,” he continued. “Well, that was on display the last six weeks. The rest of the world got to see our freedoms.”

Giuliani added, “What we believe is if the rest of the world can take a little bit of that freedom back with them, how much better would this world be? It’s why American exceptionalism is real, and it’s why it affects everybody from all around the world.” Asked how the tournament positioned the United States for the 2028 Olympics, Giuliani said, “From a cultural perspective, this was just the start of this golden age of sports here in the United States of America.”

He also pointed to the 2031 Women’s World Cup, upcoming rugby and cricket World Cups, and the 2034 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, adding, “From a cultural perspective, it’s just the beginning. As the president says, the best is yet to come.”

Giuliani also pointed to the security challenges surrounding the Olympics, saying the event would occur amid presidential political activity and two party conventions, creating “a real big lift for the U.S. Secret Service.”

“They’re going to have to continue to build off of the partnerships that we formed here on the White House task force for the World Cup,” Giuliani said.

Giuliani said he was “very excited in a couple years to be able to look at the success of the White House task force and the World Cup and see the White House task force on the Olympics even surpass that.”

He then credited administration officials involved in the effort, offering “kudos to Secretary Mullin, FBI Director Patel, AAG Blanche, Secretary Duffy, Secretary Rubio’s work, and Assistant Secretary Namdar.

“But I knew that if we could do all that work behind the scenes, kind of behind the cooking, if you will, then we would give people the opportunity to be able to view this game the way an eight-year-old would be able to view the game,” Giuliani said.

“And that really was a beautiful thing,” he continued. “Great to see the magic actually happen after all the long hours, the long days, months, years put into this.”

“Remember, this team did this throughout two government shutdowns, which lasted over 100 days,” Giuliani said. “What an incredible group of public servants that really came in mission first, dedicated to making this incredible event a crown jewel of the golden age.”

Salatin’s mission reflects a push among homesteaders and independent farmers to cultivate local food networks, where food is grown and raised without chemicals and consumers can gain a more transparent connection to how food is produced.At its core, food emancipation and local food networks are about neighbors feeding neighbors, sidestepping a system many no longer trust.

Salatin told The Epoch Times that the American food system is at a historic inflection point. He points to an aging farm class; the average American farmer is now around 60 years old.

Around half of U.S. agricultural equity is expected to change hands in the next 15 years, he said.

“That’s the most unprecedented peaceful transfer in modern history,” he said.

In 2025, Americans spent 56.3 percent of their food dollars on items prepared outside the home, at restaurants, at fast-food chains, and through takeout delivery services. Overall, out-of-home food spending reached a record $1.41 trillion out of a total $2.51 trillion in national food spending, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Meanwhile, the farmer’s share of the retail food dollar after production expenses has plummeted to roughly 5.8 cents today, according to the USDA. That figure was 40 cents in the mid-20th century.

The idea of food emancipation is simple: Let small producers legally and freely sell directly to the people who want their food.

Salatin notes that the real barrier to young people entering farming is not access to land alone, but the inability to profit from small‑scale, value‑added food production under existing rules.

The faster that happens, the better, so the FCC deserves a lot of credit for moving as quickly as possible.

Spectrum is the lifeblood of the wireless sector, which has become one of the great success stories of the American economy. The real cost of wireless service has fallen by more than 41% over the past decade while Americans are getting faster speeds, using more data, and paying less due to more supply and competition.

Making more spectrum available will help companies extend reliable wireless service to more Americans, expand 5G home broadband competition to nearly 440,000 additional households, and give consumers another option to compete with cable.

QUOTE: A federal appeals court is affirming a five-year prison sentence for Charles Littlejohn, a consultant to the IRS who leaked President Trump’s tax return information to the New York Times and tax information about thousands of the richest Americans including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Warren Buffett to ProPublica.

The 16-page opinion by a three-judge panel—Justin Walker, Neomi Rao, and Judith Rogers—found that the sentence was reasonable. It offers a scathing narrative of Littlejohn’s behavior. At this writing, the decision hasn’t been reported in either the New York Times or ProPublica, which describes itself as “a nonprofit, investigative newsroom that exposes corruption.”

In 2017, Charles Littlejohn obtained a job as a consultant to the Internal Revenue Service so that he could steal and leak the tax returns of President Donald Trump,” the opinion says. “Two years into his elaborate scheme, in 2019, Littlejohn gave President Trump’s tax return and return information to a reporter for the New York Times. He then helped the reporter analyze the data and leaked more tax returns and return information to supplement his original leak. Finally, just weeks before the 2020 presidential election, the New York Times began publishing articles based on what Littlejohn had stolen,” the opinion says.

It continues, “he used his ‘skills to systematically violate the privacy of thousands of innocent people’ by stealing the tax returns and return information of about 600 entities and about 7,600 of the wealthiest Americans. He then leaked what he stole to ProPublica, which used data regarding at least 152 of his victims in about 50 articles,” the opinion says. A company I owned was among those affected.

“As a result of Littlejohn’s crime, his victims lost business. They were disparaged countless times. And their families were physically threatened,” the opinion says. “To this day, ProPublica is sitting on the private, as-yet unpublished data of other taxpayers stolen by Littlejohn. But those taxpayers continue to fear that ProPublica will publish their data in the future.”

Littlejohn pleaded guilty in 2023 to one count of unlawfully disclosing tax information. Prosecutors asked for, and got, the maximum five-year prison sentence, a $5,000 fine, a $100 special assessment and three years of supervised release despite the guilty plea. That prompted Littlejohn’s appeal.

The appeals panel found, “his crime was politically motivated, at least in part because one of his motives was to change tax policy by (in Littlejohn’s words) showing ‘just how easy it was for the wealthiest among us to avoid paying into our system.’”

GM Ramps Up Investments to Move Production Back to US, Introduces New Gas-Powered Cadillacs

QUOTE: General Motors said it will spend between $1 billion and $1.5 billion in 2026 to bring more automobile production to the United States as it strives to offset the ongoing impacts of tariffs. Meanwhile, the company will introduce a new line of gasoline-powered Cadillac vehicles beginning in 2027 in a clear shift away from electric vehicles (EVs).

The Detroit-based automobile manufacturer stated during its second-quarter earnings call on July 21 that it will start onshoring significant manufacturing starting next year, bringing domestic production capacity to more than 2 million vehicles and reducing its exposure to tariff charges.

GM said it paid approximately $900 million in tariffs in the second quarter and expects to realize similar charges in the third and fourth quarters. GM maintained its forecast of full-year bottom-line charges of $2.5 billion to $3.5 billion from tariffs.

In its push to bring manufacturing back to the United States—GM in June 2025 said it was investing more than $4 billion in its U.S. manufacturing plants—the automaker will shift production of the Chevrolet Blazer to its Spring Hill, Tennessee, manufacturing plant starting in 2027, and move production of the Chevrolet Equinox to its Fairfax assembly plant in Kansas City, Kansas, by mid-2027. It will also begin production of full-size sport utility vehicles and light-duty pickup trucks at its Orion Township, Michigan facility in early 2027.

$225,000,000 In ‘Hideous’ Fraud Schemes Found Across US Schools, Report Alleges

QUOTE: A new report from the State Financial Officers Foundation and Open the Books uncovered nearly 90 alleged fraud schemes involving roughly $225 million across American schools since 2019.The report alleges that school districts have been embezzling funds, creating fake invoices and then pocketing the money, lying about student enrollment numbers to collect more aid, bid-rigging and receiving kickbacks.

The SFOF and Open the Books reviewed the U.S. Department of Education Office of Inspector General’s semiannual report to Congress between 2019 and 2026 — finding that fraud has taken place in 24 states and Puerto Rico.

“All fraud is harmful, but defrauding education dollars meant to help kids learn and succeed is especially hideous. The findings in this report should alarm every family, teacher, and civic leader, especially since they only scratch the surface of the problem,” SFOF CEO OJ Oleka said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Indiana schools received $44 million more funding from the state than they should have by inflating their enrollment numbers between 2016 and 2018, according to the report. Indiana Virtual School and Indiana Virtual Pathways Academy faced fraud schemes from four individuals within the educational institution including the founders, a director of one school, the superintendents, and an operations manager.

The four directed millions of dollars to fraudulent companies controlled by the founder and they also fired an employee who attempted to inform the state education department about the fraud. The schools closed in 2019, and the quartet was charged by the Department of Justice is 2024, per a press release from the department.

“These schemes within public schools arguably hit us where it hits more: America’s future leaders. Every dollar wasted on fraud never makes it to the classroom where its urgently needed. Student outcomes will continue to suffer until we clean up both fraud and administrative overhead. In one instance, the per-student fraud rate was enough to fund a semester at a charter school,” John Hart, CEO of Open the Books said in a statement to the DCNF.

Turns Out Voters Actually Favor Reason Over Rage Bait: Go Figure

QUOTE: In our long history of campaign politics, the most enduring rule in the campaign playbook is now being called into question.

The rule is this: emotion beats reason, always. Anger defeats facts. Fear overwhelms evidence. Tribal instincts trump persuasion.

Shockingly, a recent survey from America’s New Majority Project clearly suggests the emotion-over-reason rule is now on a collision course with something unprecedented: a wave of voter exhaustion.

Those Americans not obsessed with ideological extremes are tiring of the near constant manipulation foisted on them by the purveyors of modern political practice. They’re tired of being yelled at. Tired of every disagreement being treated as a moral failure. And perhaps most important, tired of being asked to suspend common sense in favor of escalating outrage.

The survey’s findings are striking.

The survey tested competing messages on some of the most contentious issues facing the country. What it revealed is that candidates who anchor their messages in verifiable facts and draw documented contrasts with their opponents consistently outperform those who rely on purely emotional attacks. According to the survey, a fact-based approach to messaging delivers a 5 to 9- point advantage overall, and up to a 14-point advantage with independent voters.

In a midterm environment where competitive districts are decided in the narrow band between 48% and 52%, that kind of advantage could mean the margin of victory.

This survey should give every political wannabe and campaign operator pause.

Because if these results hold, then one of the oldest commandments of politics is being overwhelmed by a growing demand for something far less visceral, but infinitely more valuable.

Credibility.

In short, honesty has become a competitive advantage. Tell me what you did. Tell me why you did it. Show me the evidence. Treat me with respect enough to let me decide for myself.

While the survey shows the previously reliable emotion-trumps-reason rule is breaking down, it proves the durability of another rule many campaign professionals seem to have forgotten.

Believability matters because trust matters. And once earned, trust remains the most potent force in politics today.

5- In another example of how dumb Demoncrat and GOP Senator’s arguments are, we found out this week that in order to get a special pass to eat all the pasta you want at Olive Garden, you have to show an ID.

But, showing an ID to vote is a bridge too far.

DNC Swears Officials to Secrecy as Financial Woes Mount

QUOTE: It’s no secret that money is crucial in politics. But with the midterm elections looming, the national Democratic Party is trying to keep a secret on how bad its money problems are.

Top officials are being asked to put it in writing. Leaders of the Democratic National Committee have been asked to sign nondisclosure agreements to keep a lid on the party’s financial condition, Axios reported Thursday. The move is a departure from the norm.

Ken Martin, the beleaguered DNC chairman, has his reasons.

“Martin has faced a crisis of confidence among some Democratic donors, operatives and even DNC members over his management of the party, especially given the Republican National Committee’s enormous fundraising advantage with the Nov. 3 midterms in sight,” Axios reported.

“The DNC has nearly $15 million on hand but is $18 million in debt, according to its latest campaign finance filings through the end of May.”

The Republican National Committee, by contrast, has no debt and $125 million on hand.
