• Spontaneous Worship & Singing: We were all was moved by the “magical” moments when everyone sang spontaneous melodies. This was particularly special for Stephenie and Cindy who surprisingly created a mutual song over rhythms, creating a powerful sense of divine connection that they felt was truly inspired by the Lord. They noted that this helped them draw into deeper worship.

• Embodied Connection: By engaging the body in worship, Cindy felt deeply connected to the Lord, moving with the strong sense that “He was in me and I was in Him”.

• Devotional Art: Learning to incorporate drawing into personal devotions transformed our quiet time; Victoria and Boon Quey shared that it made their time with God feel more real, spontaneous, and still.

• Prophetic Receiving: The simple act of sharing art and cards became a powerful channel for receiving specific words from the Lord; Fen found that the “cards we share for each other helped each other” and were deeply encouraging for our journeys.

• Symbolic Revelation: Through the use of simple icons and drawings, SF and Amy were able to clearly discern what God was speaking into their lives, which helped them immensely in their ministry journeys.

Pathways to Identity and Healing

The creative process served as a vital tool for personal breakthrough and internal restoration:

• Visualizing Identity: Art acted as a mirror for the soul; Gigi felt God spoke to her and now sees herself as a “Cheerful and Confident person”. Stephenie received a powerful reminder of her worth, realizing she is “apple in His eyes” and a “diamond” in His serving.

• Healing & Forward Motion: Prophetic art provided a visual anchor that helps us keep moving forward; Gigi noted, “the art is able visualise and remind me to keep going forward”.

• Embracing Creative Purpose: A major breakthrough for many was the realization of our creative identity; Mui Joo declared, “My creator is creative and so am I,” which empowers us to move forward with boldness.

• Ministry Tools: We discovered how to use prophetic art as a tool for personal growth; Amy noted it is a way to “encourage others with God’s love and words in various communities,” while Li Choon feels empowered to “go forth boldly & courageously”.

A New Community Lifestyle

The skills we learned have blossomed into a culture of mutual support that we are now carrying into our daily lives:

• Cultivating Vulnerability: The course established a “safe place to learn and be vulnerable,” as MJ described, where we can grow in our relationships with God, self, and others. Steph shared that it “feels like at home”.

• Lifestyle of Encouragement: We are integrating these practices into our daily lives; Joo shared that receiving surprise prophetic art pieces motivated her to “let me be the one to encourage many”.

• Meaningful Investment: Amy affirmed that the experience is “well worth your investments of time and finances,” while Choon added that anyone joining will be “blessed abundantly”.

• Invitation to Others: Those who have completed the course offer a warm encouragement to newcomers; Gigi urges you to “Give it a try, you have nothing to lose,” and BQ invites you with a simple question: “want to hear God’s voice?”.

Watching these transformations unfold has been a beautiful reminder of the power of the Prophetic Art Course. We celebrate not just the art created, but the restored sense of hope, identity, and deepened relationship with God that every one of us now carries forward.

Scripture Meditation
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.” Hebrews 12:1

Reflection
The word encumbrance speaks of weights that slow us down. These aren’t always outright sins, but unnecessary burdens: distractions, gossip, endless scrolling, excessive entertainment, or the draining influence of constant negativity.

Watching my triathlete son, I see a living picture of this verse. He makes constant adjustments to his bike, running gear, and swim technique to gain that extra edge. That’s how he throws off encumbrances — anything that hinders speed or efficiency — while fixing his eyes on the prize of completing the full Ironman race: 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km run which he completed in 10 hours 47minutes, earning him first place for his age group.

In the same way, we are called to shed spiritual weights and keep our eyes on Christ, the ultimate prize. While it may not be possible to eliminate every encumbrance, we can choose to minimize them. Each day, we can intentionally fill our minds and time with what strengthens us: quiet time with God, worship, creating new programs, fasting, and generous giving. Community also plays a vital role — sharpening one another, cheering each other on, and reminding us of the race we’re called to run.

• At the finish line, illustrate light, joy, or a crown — a reminder of endurance rewarded.

This morning, I came before the Lord in lament—my heart heavy with the weight of unresolved issues. As I opened the window, the world seemed still, yet heaven was speaking.

In that quiet moment, He showed me His giant arms of love radiating over the earth. I sensed His voice whispering:

“My love is greater than your problems.”

Suddenly, perspective shifted. The mountains of worry became small against the vast horizon of His mercy. The light streaming through the clouds felt like grace itself—warm, steady, and strong.

No matter how big my issue may seem to me, His love and power are many, many times greater.

Introduction

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been learning some hard but beautiful lessons about emotional maturity — not just managing feelings, but letting the Holy Spirit reshape how I respond. These reflections come from real moments of tension, prayer, and grace. They’ve reminded me that emotional intelligence, when rooted in Christ, becomes a spiritual discipline.

The Christian Emotional EQ Wheel grew out of those lessons — a way to visualize how faith and emotional awareness intertwine. Each segment represents a posture of the heart that helps us move from reaction to reflection, from self‑protection to Spirit‑led peace.

❤️ 1. Know Your Heart (Self‑Awareness)

“Search me, God, and know my heart…” — Psalm 139:23
Before reacting, pause and ask: What am I feeling, and why?
Tip: Keep a short “emotion log.” Write one emotion each day and what triggered it. Pray over patterns that keep repeating.

🌿 2. Pause & Pray (Self‑Regulation)

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19
When emotions surge, take a breath and invite the Spirit in.
Tip: Whisper a “10‑second prayer” — “Lord, center me in Your peace.” This micro‑pause can transform reactions into reflection.

💙 3. Listen with Mercy (Empathy & Compassion)

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” — Romans 12:15
Empathy doesn’t mean agreement; it means seeing others through Christ’s eyes.
Tip: When someone vents, listen for the pain beneath their words. Ask, “What’s hurting you most right now?”

🔍 4. Judge Wisely (Discernment)

“Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” — John 7:24
Discernment helps us recognize unhealthy patterns without condemning people.
Tip: Separate behavior from identity. Say, “This action is harmful,” not “You are harmful.”

🔥 5. Grow Through Trials (Resilience)

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed.” — 2 Corinthians 4:8
Resilience is faith under pressure — trusting God’s refining process.
Tip: End each day with gratitude journaling. List three ways God sustained you today.

🕊️ 6. Set Healthy Limits (Peacemaking & Boundaries)

“Blessed are the peacemakers…” — Matthew 5:9
Peace doesn’t mean passivity. Boundaries protect love from burnout.
Tip: Practice saying, “I love you, but I can’t accept being spoken to this way.” Grace and truth can coexist.

When you have had to execute hard boundaries—like changing rooms, adjusting schedules, or minimizing contact with someone in your close community—it can feel like your path has become messy, fractured, or interrupted. You worry if you’ve broken the peace or veered off course.

But I am learning that setting boundaries to protect your nervous system is never a detour from your calling; it is a prerequisite for it. God is an expert at taking fractured, shaken seasons and forming them into a beautiful, steady path forward.

As I look ahead to my calling, I declare these truths over my steps today:

The Security of My Path

• I am confident that God will complete His good work: “...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

• I am walking in the steps God has ordered: “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.” Psalm 37:23

• I am called according to His purpose: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

One of the hardest parts of recovering from a toxic or volatile interaction is the “mental replay.” Long after the event has passed, your mind keeps running the tape—remembering the harsh tone, the criticism, and the injustice of it all. If we aren’t careful, we inadvertently give the perpetrator permission to dictate the internal landscape of our minds days, weeks, or months later.

Renewing our minds isn’t about pretending the hurt didn’t happen. It’s about building a psychological and spiritual boundary that says: You are allowed to have your issues, but you are no longer allowed to live rent-free in my head.

To halt the looping thoughts, I use these focal points from the “Daily Declarations.” to reset my internal script:

The Renovation of My Thoughts

• I am transforming my mind daily: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

• I am taking every thought captive: “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5

• I am setting my mind on things above: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” — Colossians 3:2

Trauma has a physical address: it lives in the body. When you experience a severe emotional shock or a harsh confrontation, your heart races, your thoughts loop, and your body stays braced for the next blow. It is incredibly exhausting to live in that state of hyper-vigilance.

I’ve learned that I cannot always “think” my way out of a trauma response, but I can anchor my body and spirit in the structural promises of God. Peace isn’t the absence of trouble; it is the presence of a Guard standing watch over your heart.

When the adrenaline spikes and my body feels unsafe, these are the three foundations from the “Daily Declarations.pdf” file that I breathe in to regulate my nervous system:

• I am given a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Notes on Worth and Acceptance After the Storm.

When a relational storm hits out of nowhere, it doesn’t just rattle your environment—it attacks your identity. In the wake of sharp words, condescension, or unexpected emotional volatility from people you trusted, the nervous system goes into survival mode. You start questioning your value, your standing, and your safety.

In my own walk lately, I’ve had to realize that healing doesn’t begin by convincing the people who hurt you to see your worth. Healing begins when you quietly step away from tables where you are belittled and anchor yourself in the one who already accepted you.

These are the truths I am speaking over my heart to ground my worth today:

Declaration 1: I am a friend of Jesus.

• The Word: “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends...” John 15:15

• The Shift: I am not a commodity to be used, nor am I a project to be managed. The Creator of the universe calls me a friend.

Declaration 2: I am accepted and brought near.

• The Word: “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:13

• The Shift: My access to safety and love isn’t dependent on human approval. I have been brought into the inner circle of God’s care, and no human behavior can push me out.

Declaration 3: I am more than a conqueror.

• The Word: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life... will be able to separate us from the love of God...” Romans 8:37-39

• The Shift: Hurt can isolate us, but it cannot separate us. The love guarding my life is unshakeable.

A thought for your week: If you are recovering from a relational shock, give yourself permission to stop fighting for acceptance from unsafe people.

I have known the sting of rejection, the heaviness of grief, and the silence of abandonment. There were seasons when I carried criticism like a cloak and disappointment like a shadow. Yet in surrender — laying these wounds before Christ — I found His healing presence. He did not erase the pain; He transformed it. In the quiet exchange of prayer, tears became oil of joy, shame turned into shine, and weariness gave way to wonder. The Divine Exchange is not abstract theology; it is lived restoration — the moment when brokenness meets the hands that bless and mend.

This reflection explores the mystery of Christ’s healing love — the Divine Exchange. Through Scripture, sketches, and journaling prompts, we journey from wounds to wonder, surrendering our brokenness and receiving His restoration.

In the Kingdom of God, every wound becomes a doorway to grace. The Divine Exchange is the mystery of Christ trading our ashes for beauty, our mourning for joy, our heaviness for praise. It’s not a transaction of merit but of mercy — a love that restores what was lost and renews what was weary.

It is so easy to let the noise of the world define us. Recently, I found myself walking through a deeply painful season. I was gaslighted, criticized, and falsely accused. In the wake of that, I felt completely disparaged, discouraged, confused, and belittled. My sense of peace was shattered, and I knew I desperately needed to return to a place of safety and security.

In that dark space, the Lord led me back to His Word. I began compiling a list of who He says I am, rather than absorbing the painful words thrown at me. Creating and reading this list daily became my anchor, helping me find true restoration and healing.

If you are feeling broken or lost today, true transformation begins when we stop listening to our fears and start speaking God’s truth over our lives.

Below are nine powerful, first-person declarations that brought me back to life. I encourage you to print these out, save them on your phone, or read them aloud every morning to anchor your heart in Christ.

🛡️ Overcoming Anxiety

• I am given a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind: I do not walk in fear, because God has not given me a spirit of timidity. (2 Timothy 1:7)

• I am casting all my cares on Him: I do not have to carry this weight alone, because God cares for me deeply. (1 Peter 5:7)

• I am filled with the peace of God: His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guards my heart and my mind today. (Philippians 4:7)

🎯 Finding My Purpose

• I am confident that God will complete His good work in me: He finishes what He starts, and He is faithful to guide my steps. (Philippians 1:6)

• I am walking in the steps God has ordered for me: My path is secure, and I trust His perfect timing for my life. (Psalm 37:23)

• I am called according to His purpose: I can rest knowing that He is working all things together for my ultimate good. (Romans 8:28)

🧠 Renewing My Mind

• I am transforming my mind daily by focusing on God’s truth: I reject worldly patterns and choose to see myself through His eyes. (Romans 12:2)

• I am taking every thought captive to obey Christ: I have the power to control what I dwell on and reject the lies of the enemy. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

• I am setting my mind on things above: I fix my eyes on eternity, filtering my daily circumstances through His eternal love. (Colossians 3:2)

A Prayer to Draw Nearer Today:
Lord, strip away the false identities and cruel words that have placed on me. Remind me of who I am in You. Help me to believe these truths deeply, speak them boldly, and live them out confidently today. Draw me nearer to Your safe and secure heart. Amen.

A heart of flesh is tender, responsive, and alive. It is sensitive to conscience, to suffering, to affection, and most importantly, to God’s will. Unlike a heart of stone, which resists and hardens, the heart of flesh bleeds when pierced by conviction, yields when touched by grace, and warms with love when filled with the Spirit.

This heart is the gift of regeneration—a new spirit given by God. It is a heart that can:

• Feel the weight of sin.

• Yield to the gospel’s call.

• Be impressed by God’s Word.

• Aspire toward holiness.

• Love with divine warmth.

Imagine the transformation: a stone heart cracking open, revealing tender flesh within, glowing with warmth and light. The crown of thorns above reminds us of Christ’s suffering, while the bleeding heart symbolizes our capacity to feel and respond to His sacrifice. There is a holy nervousness that comes with creating prophetic art for people whose names, faces, and stories you do not yet know. Before our latest Prophetic Art for Intercession workshop, my desk was covered in blank cards, markers, and a prayer: Lord, speak through my hands to whoever is coming.

I call these quick, intuitive sketches “Divine Doodles.” On the front, a simple piece of watercolor and ink illustration; on the back, a written word of biblical encouragement.

When the workshop began, the cards were distributed. What happened next is the beautiful mystery of how the Holy Spirit bridges the gap between strangers, turning a room of separate individuals into a sisterhood.

The Front and the Back: A Perfect Match

It is one thing to write general words of comfort, but it is entirely another to witness the sheer precision of God’s timing. When we turned the cards over, the visual metaphors clicked seamlessly into place with the specific callings of the women in the room:

• For F, I felt led to draw a waving banner on a flagpole with the word TRUTH boldly written across it. On the back, the message read: “Declare His truth loudly and proudly.” When she read it, the room filled with the sweet weight of holy confirmation. F shared that she had just recently stepped into a vulnerable moment in a secular setting. Where she normally would have kept quiet to avoid waves, she chose instead to speak up from a Kingdom perspective. It was a moment of real risk—the risk of being misunderstood. Through a simple doodle, the Lord was telling her: I saw the risk you took, and I honor you for it.

• For J, cheerful smiley faces, a golden checkmark, and a thumbs-up carried the heavenly affirmation: “Hear the Lord say: ‘Well done, good and faithful!’ He is delighted in you.” The moment J read it, tears and awe followed. It turned out that several other people in her life had recently brought her that exact same phrase. God used the doodle to establish a divine echo, leaving absolutely no doubt in her mind that the Creator of the universe deeply delights in her.

• For R, I drew a sketch of a shofar—the traditional horn blown to gather the community, sound an awakening, or declare a shift. Her verse on the back was Joel 2:1: “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy mountain.” The room gasped when she shared her story: Rebecca is a Primary 6 schoolteacher. Every day, she steps into a classroom with the unique opportunity to sound a trumpet of life, hope, and encouragement into the hearts of her young students. And the ultimate exclamation point from the Holy Spirit? Joel is one of her absolute favorite books in the Bible.

Speaking Our Exact Language

The accuracy didn’t stop there. A visitor, who works as an accountant, received the illustration of the coin purse with the message reminding her that she is highly valued and bought with a high price—wrapping her daily professional language in His profound worth.

We also watched a lady receive a trio of vibrant koi fish declaring a life of abundance, and another hold a glittering diamond reminding her that she is His precious workmanship.

“They came as strangers, but they left as sisters.”

The Beauty of Creative Intercession

We often treat art as a luxury or a hobby. But in the context of the Kingdom, art is a language. It bypasses our analytical minds, breaks down our defensive walls, and delivers a direct message from the Creator’s heart to ours.

To look across a room and watch women realize that a stranger drew their exact life circumstance, their favorite scripture, or a hidden confirmation hours before meeting them—that is the power of prophetic intercession. It reminds us that we are seen, deeply known, and intricately loved.

1. Shield of Light: Draw or paint a radiant outline — perhaps Jesus’ silhouette — encircling a small figure (like a child or yourself). Let the light represent divine protection.

2. Lifted Head: Sketch a face tilted upward, eyes closed in peace. Add gentle rays or a crown of light to symbolize restored confidence.

3. Circle of Favour: Create a ring or halo of colour around your figure — gold, white, or rainbow hues — showing God’s favour surrounding you.

Reflection Questions

• Where in your life do you need to feel God’s shield today?

• What does it mean to you that He Himself is your reward, not just what He gives?

• How can you express gratitude for His protection and favour through your art or journaling this week?

✨ Let your brush and pen become instruments of faith — each stroke a declaration that you are shielded, lifted, and rewarded by His love.

1. Horse — Carried in Triumph
The horse reminds us of the One who carries us. “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). He is triumphant, and in Him we ride securely.
He has won the victory!
He declared that it is finished!
You can rest in the finished work of Christ.
Reflection Prompt: Where do you need to be carried today? How does trusting Him as the finisher of your faith change your outlook?
Sketch Activity: Draw a horse in motion. Along its path, write words of triumph that Jesus has authored in your life.

2. Key — Access to the Kingdom
The ornate key symbolizes the authority He has given you: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 16:19). You have access to the Most Holy Place, the mercy seat, where grace and mercy flow.
Reflection Prompt: How do you use the “keys” He has entrusted to you — for yourself and to bring others along?
Sketch Activity: Sketch a key. Around it, write names of people you are bringing before His throne of grace.

3. Garment of Praise — Declare His Faithfulness
The bright garment celebrates praise. “Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3). Declaring aloud His faithfulness not only lifts your spirit but inspires others.
Reflection Prompt: What testimony of His faithfulness can you declare today?
Sketch Activity: Draw a colorful garment. On its folds, inscribe phrases of praise that you want to speak aloud.

4. Cup of Coffee — Sustained by the Spirit
The cup represents daily sustenance and energy. Just as coffee gives a kick, the Holy Spirit empowers you for life’s rhythms. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit” (Zechariah 4:6).
Reflection Prompt: Where do you feel drained? How does the Spirit energize and sustain you in those moments?
Sketch Activity: Sketch a steaming cup. In the rising steam, write words of empowerment the Spirit gives you each day.

1. Lantern — Be Brave, Courageous
The glowing lantern reminds us that it is His light in us that shines brightly in the darkness. “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1).
His presence goes with you wherever you go.
Reflection Prompt: Where do you need courage today? Write about a place in your life where His light is breaking through fear.
Sketch Activity: Draw a lantern in your journal. Inside its glow, write words of courage you need to carry into the week.

2. Horse Face — See His Face Before You
The horse’s gaze calls us to look into His eyes, to see the face of the Almighty God, King of kings and Lord of lords. “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14).
His name is Faithful and True … King of kings and Lord of lords. (Rev 19:11,16)

3. Footsteps — Ordered Steps, Secure Path
The footprints across the sand remind us: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord” (Psalm 37:23). “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:16).
Your life is secure in His hand. (Jn 10:28-29).
Reflection Prompt: Think about the journey you are on. Where do you see God’s ordering hand in your steps?
Sketch Activity: Draw a path of footprints. Beside each, write a word that marks a step He has guided in your life.

4. Sweet Offering — Delights in You
The candy sketch whispers of delight. Your life is a sweet offering, pleasing to Him. “The Lord takes delight in His people” (Psalm 149:4).
Reflection Prompt: How does it change your heart to know that your life brings Him joy?
Sketch Activity: Sketch a wrapped sweet. Around it, write phrases of gratitude for the ways He delights in you.
