My college is in mumbai It takes me eternity to reach my college, Sometimes for me reaching pune is way quicker than me preparing myself to go college.

I have seen my tiffin become a biodegradable waste till I reach college, Bro I have seen time zone change sometimes.

I know i will sound like a kid who is just complaining but trust me i did put up a complaint it hasn’t reached yet to them sources say maybe Hayley’s comet might hit us again before getting a reform

Navi mumbai trains are not far but slow, slow to the point you might say ( fuck it bhai chalke chalte hai)

Literally once train was stopped middle of nowhere (yes thats my exact precise location ) No signal , no train by passing , no station it was just standing there and someone said train driver’s  tinder date got matched and i fear it was not matched notification because from driver’s coach to reach till our coach light take 5 mins So i am sure it was a friendzoned message so now it will take a quarter liquor to start the train.

But now while writing this I have just reached station so now by my next article i will reach college.

So fewdays earlier, a message came from my friend’s alt acc which had only 15 followers and it was with same name same bio and same pfp so at first i felt like he is making a fanpage for himself.

But then it got a bit fishy when he texted me and replied in one second coz this guy is the same guy who will take 15 business hours to reply for a hi message reply which he only sent 16 hours earlier!!!!!

so it went like :

scammer(not my friend): ek help chaiye (need a help)

Me: Ha bol na (say?)

scammer: urgent hai paise chaiye the (its urgent can i borrow some money?)

me: kitne bhai (How much?)

scammer: kal tak dedunga ( will give u back till tomorrow)

Then i called my friend and asked bro where are u rn ? to ask what happened and then he said “i am at turf what happened “ and i told him about this incident and he then said

“abey pagal hai kya tere se todhi pese lunga scammer bhi chutiya hai tu toh last person hoga jisse pese mangunga 10 rupya bhi nahi hoga “ (why would i take money from you you are the last person who i would take money from You wouldnt even have 10 rupees in hand rn), So from this incident i learnt a lesson dont trust these strangers on internet who text u impersonating your friends name

Starting off, i really wanna say i am the best desi hip hop music jammer in india if anyone has a problem with it aaja bhidle bhai.

Ok jokes apart Let me first introduce you with indian rap scene which is currently on uprising movement average monthly viewers increment is just so good that a rapper who is even decent level of 3-4 can earn good enough to pay rents.

Oh? you dont know about 7 levels of rappers?? its a spectrum of rapping level skills irrespective of popularity its purely art based rankings and its subjective ranking so i will give it up to you for interpretation.

Now lets talk about my experience of indian hip hop started with honey singh (so obv) but later someone dissed him that he aint hip hop(raftaar obv) we generally liked these rappers because of that generation connecting with these rappers who talked about their time scene like if we talk about honey singh talking about chaar bottle vodka, or casual chhichoragiri in his song openly was a rebellious move which people liked at that time coz nobody was connecting with the criminals like that (ok just kidding) but generally in those times rappers avoid talking about social issue or anti establishment in their songs not generalising those time in a narrow fitted way but if we see average tracks of those time and now you will see a massive growth in songs about social issues we can cut it down to also the boom of internet and ease of uploading a content on internet which might not have pushed social issue songs of that time but moving on lets talk about the current scene where we got a saturation point (personally i think its oversaturated) of songs about girls, daaru and shit so people need a fresh air of concepts in hip hop community and then we see a 20 year old college going boy representing nagpur in a show called mtv hustle

MTV hustle famously known for hip hop ka kaatil (rohan carriappa reference) so this show is basically a platform for rappers to represent the community of hip hop in a contest of 15 rappers who get judged by 6 judges it started with 3 judges (+ 1 guest judge) but now it has been expanded and has been a popular show even if underground scene has been very upset with the previous show makers but that we will talk about someday

lets  talk about naam sujal who performed the first song (also told in interview that it was his favourite song) protocol and guys this song was a perfect start for any rapper with sick flows and top notch lyricism on display

But the main thing about this song was what he was talking about parents putting up restrictions to not let him go out because of his surroundings being alot of criminal background which made people connect him with the existing audience who likes rebellion nature

Next infamous song vishay khatam is hands down a great song where he was rapping so hard with a danceall beat in the background’ made it so easy to consume his art where he is delivering hard punches

i would write down my favourite line from the track:

“Teri puri gang kare tapout par ye loksabha nahi”

can you see how he is now slowly showing the rebellious towards the anti establishment and in the next song man he straight up went and talk about his own personal experience in the song called blindspot

Blindspot is a song where he talks about struggles of him giving the famous NEET paper and it got leaked later on and also went on to talk about kolkata rape case and how he doesnt want his lil sister to become doctor because of this corrupt system

My favourite lines from the track :

These are some lines which just hit the audience with emotional depth and justified frustrations with the system failures

And in recent jantar mantar protest naam sujal just going out representing the students made him connect alot with the audience

I would also like a non hip hop consumer just listen to his “mamafication” album once and know his social perspectives and his individual mindset.

But thats the thing there is a saying “ A captain is as good as his team” but i would like to change this to “ a captain is only good if he is contributing for the team” and for suryas case it was since he took up the indian team captaincy he was having the worst slump in his t20i career the same guy who can score 700+ runs in an ipl season where he was not the captain and suddenly couldnt even score 300 in a flat deck tournament? That was a concern a serious concern!

This article will not be finished before giving you the picture of the other side of the spectrum even tho surya was not performing as a batsman he was still leading the side very well instilling the confidence whenever a player was going through a slump , reassuring every player that they will play all the games. as a captain he did everything as far as managing the player is concern

WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THIS ?

Suryakumar might not be the greatest captain but he was a great leader who showed faith in sanju, who showed faith in axar, who showed faith in abhishek, who showed faith in ishan, who backed tilak to finish games, who backed dube , who gave varun chances, he put himself down the order to get the other players performing.
