My father’s message?

In late winter,

as the ice seemed ready to give in to spring.

Seven months since my dad’s passing,

I stood in the twilight of my bedroom,

barely seeing my reflection in the mirror.

As if I awakened in a dream,

I saw my father’s joyous face in mine.

And I heard him say,

“Be the man that brings joy into other people’s lives.”

This was his singular message spoken softly

Somewhere from a consciousness

beyond the veil.

At once, I was staring back

back at myself and returned from my dream.

I wept alone in my dark house,

free to groan and cry.

The only thing I can do

when suddenly I am both wrapped in the blanket of grief

and lifted in the

arms of joy.

Since that day, I have been charged with being kind,

to greet all others in peace, and with genuine love.

I work every day to surrender to joy over

the weight of all of life’s trials

and the torment of my demons

to be a man.

My journey to life’s purpose for me has taken me

through many painful and troubling experiences

that have left enduring scars and deeply rooted fears.

This is the path to freedom.

To be a real man.

LBI, Drifting Sands

Good Morning, Spring.  I know you’re awake.  I see your color rising with the sun.
Through the open balcony door of our third floor suite, the sea breeze coolly streams into our room as the sunlight pulls time over the warming golden bed sheets.
My love so quietly sleeps, still to hear every breath of the ocean synchronized with the rising and falling of her breast.
Narrowly framed between the doorpost and half opened drapes, the sea stretches a blue-green carpet from the sands to the edge of the Earth.  Porpoises dance briefly on its surface and dive beneath its nape.
Sitting comfortably, pen in hand, my eyes capture a picture, the subject of which has been painted in the hearts of everyone finding peace on the edges of the oceans.  Sea grass is bending with the breeze, pelted lightly with drifting sands.  
Now, it’s time for hot coffee and warm pastry on the balcony by the sea.
Below us across the wide dunes and sun bright sands, a few scattered walkers drag their owners by their leashes near the lapping waves.  The stiff wind off the early Spring waves feels chilly, even through their jackets and hats.

As Earth bows in reverence toward her perfect partner, something, someone awakens within me with the warming of the Spring sun.  Like sap pumping slowly upward to engorge the budding leaves and reddening flowers of my mind and spirit.  Is this dis-order: to be attuned to the rhythm and flow of Mother Earth?
In orbit: that perfect balance of attractions.  An effortless flow wherein the music of influence plays in symphonic perturbations.  Mother Earth sings her harmonies to Father Sun’s melodies as she twirls in the softening groove of her recorded destiny.
As a flower opens to the Sun, when Spring awakens, so do I, picking back up the verse of my souls praises of the Sun.

Good night sea.  Pleasant dreams.  Pull the moon’s light gently to your chin, a glowing silver blanket shimmering on your skin.
Comfort me through the night.  Come to me through my open door and whisper sweet dreams in my ear.  I’ll rise again like the sun to warm you and praise the gifts of your bounteous life.

Surrender

The Osprey circling over my head is not interested in my pool, unless it can carry me back to its eyrie

She is gliding on the warm breezes the sun so generously provides.

She climbs to higher realms where the hunted may be observed.

She flows effortlessly flitting her wing tips adjusting her path to stay in the rising thermal.

Does she look down with fear of falling, or joy with the rising freedom of surrender to the sun’s bidding?

She trusts her search to the will of the winds.

On the other hand, this bird follows the will of a dark wind.

They were taken at nearly same the time, so I wanted you to hear the continuity of the back ground noise. Welcome to my happy place, my pool patio.

I have posted a few articles that touch on the subject of intuition, but mostly about Serendipitous Serendipity events that happen to me.

Let me begin with the story of my sister’s hospitalization that I was never informed of until the telephone inside of my mind rang with such insistence that I jumped out of bed at three in the morning. My cell phone never rang, but I heard my sister say in a faint whisper, “Help me, Kev.”

I grabbed my phone and called my niece and asked her, “Where is your mom?” She told me that my sissy is in the hospital in Illinois and she is not doing well. I immediately booked a flight for later that morning from Philly to Chicago.

I rented a car and drove two hours to her hospital. When I saw her in her ICU room she was strapped vertically in a “bed” hooked up to machines keeping her alive. She couldn’t talk, but the next day she was alert and we began the process of getting her back to Alabama. The cold and terrible living conditions in Illinois had caused near fatal pneumonia.

My family and I and others to whom I am intimately connected have a strange connection and sometimes when there are dangerous levels of crises we somehow know instinctively that the other is ringing the telephones in our minds.

Many years ago when I was in college, I worked in a machine shop near the steel mills of Indiana. I was in the middle of running a lathe when I heard that phone ring, so I turned off the machine and walked to the office convinced that my dad had called. As I asked the admin if there was a call for me, the phone rang and the admin said, “It’s for you.” Sure enough, dad had an important message for me.

Another time I was driving home from work and I felt my son was calling me. I had a feeling of dread, so I called him on the cell and sure enough, he was in distress over some intense personal problems. I drove straight to his house and he was waiting beside his truck. He said, “How did you know I needed you?” I just smiled with tears in my eyes.

These intuitions don’t happen everyday, but, I am grateful for the mysterious connections that we share from time to time.

Now, my fiancé and I often know to call or answer the phone when the other intends to call. So cool. She thinks I can read her mind. I can’t, but we laugh about it every time it happens.

Of all the weeds,

Vines are the smartest.

Of all shrubs, and climbing vines,

They have learned

To climb, yes, and

Harvesting the sun's energy.

Using the tree's

Own abundant nurishment

To grow to new heights.

Ready for sex, the weed

Who's flowers glow red through

The two greens

Waving leaves

In the breeze

One day, the weight of greed is a

Shock

To the supporting system,

There may be no energy to share.

The codependent relationship implodes.

The pair slowly disappears

One before the other into

The resting ground.

And their surviving seed

Live to strive

And fight

For the best view of the sun.

Vines in the canopy are like

The eel of the sea,

Shocking all it touches

Reaching for food.

When a house is eaten up with termites, water damage or fire, it is torn down and the lot is then used to build a new house.

This famous quote was Benjamin Franklin’s response to Elizabeth Willing Powel on September 17, 1787, at the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. When Powel asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin replied succinctly, “A republic, if you can keep it”. The remark captures both the optimism and caution of the moment, emphasizing that the success of the new government depended not solely on the Constitution but on the active participation and virtue of the people.

The lot is We the People, and it is time to design a new house and carefully plan for a more durable and flexible construction.

The architects and the builders are We the People.

It is time to go back to the drawing board, and that must begin with education and training to ingrain in our populations the ability to THINK critically. Lazy minds have done the work that our enemies could never do by force. “Idol hands are the devil’s workshop.”

Please, let us begin the process before we are homeless (another indication that our house is burning).

Since my earlier experiences with unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) (There are four), I am always conscious of the sky above me, and to a lesser degree even indoors. So, when I meditate outdoors, I often look deeply at the sky and hope to see a “UFO” again. But, today I sit in a light green lounger, head back, looking through the clouds, hoping to see my friend. I call this intelligence a friend, because they have shown themselves to me too many times to be coincidences.

Finally I realized, I don’t need to see you or keep your image in my memory or on my camera. So, I thought to myself, “I just want to talk with you, communicate with you.”

As I finished my thought, I “heard” a very subtle young voice sing a line from the Moody Blues “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere.” A sweet clear voice,

“And Somehow I’ll return again to you.”

My friend also wants to communicate with me. It’s all the noise inside my head and my orientation to the experience that prevents that telepathic sharing of meaning.

I will spend the rest of my life seeking to continue our conversation.

I love the night sky, especially without the terrible light pollution near Philly. So, on this night, after my thrilling experience “hearing” my friend, I set up the tripod and began recording the stars on my Samsung S24 Ultra.

As I panned left and right, I didn’t notice anything until I replayed the video.

I watched it to see what I might have missed and I saw what could have been lighting, or some aircraft of some type, but I couldn’t find a reasonable explanation.

This video is a wonderful example of how at times coincidence cannot explain what comes on my radio. I hope you, too, have these experiences. I’m not crazy, but I believe the Universe is crazy about us.

Serendipity is the Universes way to touch my life. It is so powerful to experience these moments. I always keep my radio on in the car. That’s when I hear songs or news that sometimes shed light on my thoughts like God is reading my mind and directing my attention. Sometimes when I have been pursuing a question about some issue or remembrance, NPR is talking about that very question.

Putrump has fired his perceived enemies and now is rooting out all generals and officers of “low IQ.”

In the middle of a Constitutional crisis, it is NOT a coup to arrest perpetrators of treason.

Our oath to the Constitution demands it.

Priority ONE:

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;

So, what the fuck is wrong with your brains? WHAT IN THE EVER LOVIN HELL IS THE END GAME? OBLIVION?

If I, as a military member, and had committed even the smallest violation of my oath, I would be breaking rocks in Kansas. At least there I would have regular meals, a clean bed, medical care, and representation before the Courts Marshall.

Generals, what are you waiting for, civil war?

Is there anything short of fighting against your own people to motivate you to do your DUTY.

Generals, you literally work for THE PEOPLE, not a murderous felon. You are living "high on the hog" while citizens and are dying on our streets and in what are no less than concentration camps.

What will it take?

When your child or grandchild is stopped on the street and asked by armed men to "see their papers?"

Maybe when that child disappears into a concentration camp?

Or, maybe that YOUR child is murdered by the bloody hands of your "criminal in chief?"

Drop your cocks and grab your socks! It is past time to do your DUTY, generals. You are violating the articles of the UCMJ. You know which ones. Not the least of which is missing movement. You're AWOL! Failure to comply with a general order.
