I first read Leash by Jane DeLynn at the start of the pandemic. It was gifted to me by a dear friend and mentor, who told me it was gifted to her by her then-submissive at the beginning of their dynamic. The tagline is “Leash extends the logic of S+M to its inexorable and startling conclusion.” In it, the unsympathetic narrator cheats on her girlfriend and begins a relationship with a dominant she meets in through a classified ad. She never sees this dominant with her eyes; every scene begins with a blindfold first. The dominant wades through the narrator’s (rather exasperating) reticence to slowly mold her obedience. She introduces the narrator to her dog, gives her new skin, makes her urinate outside, and eventually gives her the choice to become a dog herself. The narrator is a pathetic figure, and seeks the edges of her limits with her Sir to find relief from personhood.

Years later I started playing with that same submissive, who told me that they did identify not with the dog of it all. The eager community of Leather pups, with all their energetic tail wagging, inspired admiration but not resonance in them. But they craved to be Not Human: not be interacted with as a person, but rather a feral creature.

I still have an ongoing fantasy of having them out with me on a leash, fully muzzled with fire in their eyes. I relish in the exquisite pleasure of telling other people not to pet them, they are not friendly, they are aggressive and loyal only to me. We have a special bond, the animal that lives in my house and I. We understand each other without speaking the same language. We share the hot, primal secret of domestic animal abuse.

It reminds me of a Jacques Derrida essay I read in grad school, the Beast and the Sovereign, a political meditation on two kinds of being that exist outside the jurisdiction of citizenship and statehood. Beast:subhuman:below the law::Sovereign:Ubermensch:above the law. But they find a kind of solidarity in each other in their shared exile from the force of jurisdiction, both the alienated loneliness and the powerful sense of personal agency. A regular odd couple: a czarina and her creature.

This is all to say, I’ve been finding so much meaning in humanimal husbandry recently. The possibilities are as endless as the variety of God’s creations—mammals are an easy choice (ponies, pups, and kittens) but I have always loved exotic pets (loyal crows, hissing cockroaches, a colony of ants). And lest we not forget about husbandry: the delight of domestication, of grinding someone through the sieve that pares human dignity from a beast. Watching it romp wild and reckless until forcefully bent to My will with a switch and a spray bottle. Then leashing it to a post and leaving it until it’s panting and whimpering for my attention, now utterly dependent on me and my commands. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks.

When is the last time you got in touch with your primal tendencies? Who are you as a creature? Playful, loyal puppygirl? Pig set for slaughter? A couple nights ago, my objectively perfectly sized hand took yet another fist virginity. It was exquisite. When I think of Empress Wu, I think of her not as a person but as a space; she is the site in which things unfold. She does not create the container, she is the container for both my submissives and myself. To act as if I’m unaffected is untruthful. In reality, she and I (management) grew up together. Does anyone have an ancient Greek allegory for that?

And it goes like this, for the past ten years of my life, with the exception of the gaps that are lost to the dysfunctional search feature. My body at 21, at 24, at 27. The months of travel (exhilarating and glamorous). The months of travel (unsettled and exhausting). Shifting business strategy to adapt to a global pandemic. Pivoting tactics whenever I lost a payment platform (5 and counting). How I turned to work for comfort and stability in the midst of an excruciating break up. How I discovered myself as a leatherdyke. The different phases of my hyper obsessions and how they played out in kink. Various haircuts and glasses.

A butterfly flaps its wings: some rich billionaire somewhere wants to be able to stalk his younger and chronically online baby mama, and now I must migrate this archive. It’s funny, I made an art show with Veil Machine about the phenomenon of sex workers being first to bite for new platforms, and often getting edged out via stricter and stricter community guidelines later on down the line. We called it E-viction, and here I am, over five years later, and working conditions have not changed. They are actually even more emotionally arresting than before.

As always, in the ever-shifting landscape of this world, the only archive that can’t be erased is the one that lives in our bodies, our flesh, our memories, oral histories recounted when I’m old and wrinkly. June has always been a month of gorging—the month when the new heat of summer forces all the social cream to rise to the top. 3 days after my Dommiversary is my 29th birthday. I’m starting my last year of my twenties! I can’t believe it. This past year has been so fulfilling and delicious, full of incredible play and exploration. I plan on writing a post on my actual birthday of everything I’d like to call in, but in short, I’m calling in more integration and alignment for me and my submissives. Hello lover

I will admit—I got emotional watching videos of the Artemis II launch. I told my friends about it and was lightly teased about being propagandized to. Ironically I had plans to watch Project Hail Mary the next day, which I loved; I adored Rocky’s enthusiasm and marveled at the feat of his puppeteering, and found the movie to be quite faithful to the book. Project Hail Mary proved to be a perfect fictional counterpart to the collective effervescence I experienced watching clips of Artemis II and all the neverbeforeseen angles of the Moon they’ve sent back since. I felt the familiar sparkling urge of curiosity, to go full steam ahead into a space obsession and have it inspire a space-themed session. Human confrontation of nothingness. Human enclosed in the box of the Universe. Human meets a creature who looks strange but seduces their spacesuit off. Human tries something new and gets to see angles of a celestial body never before discovered. Art and living can be powerful that way; there is a difference in the logical intellect of description and the triggering of feeling, of experience that you get when you see pieces of yourself reflected, refracted, reframed.

I am adamant that there is power in hope in a hopeless world. I am setting intentions this month to claw glitches in our present, steadfast portals into otherworlds full of pleasure and thrill that we can keep as our own as the world around us crumbles into war and strife. The world I want is one of laughter, of connection, of wonder. There is a wonder in feeling something you’ve thought was long lost, regreeting a friend inside of you that you haven’t seen in years.

It reminds me of a reflection I received years ago after a scene with a wonderful and very experienced masochist.

It can be so horrendously disheartening to feel unable to grasp control in this hellscape. But we actually do have a choice in how the future goes—we can grasp it in our hands and mould it to our vision of the future, and meet new versions of ourselves in the surprises we encounter along the way.

Boston and Providence were absolutely magnificent, thank you for asking. I began with a Bloodplay class in Providence, hosted by Fist Boston. The final episode of my trip was a jewel: attending the book talk for the second edition of Trans Sex at All She Wrote Books. Trans Sex was written by my dear friend and frequent collaborator Athenais Nin, who is also known as the author Lucie Fielding. During her talk with Jordan Anderson, they discussed one of the major updates between the first and second edition of the book, which cites our collaboration. I am including a passage below.

Please enjoy this abridged transcript of Athenais’s talk with Jordan:

“We were set to teach like this Psychological Edgeplay class. And I when I teach classes, I don’t like teaching 101s. There’s so many people who could do it so much better than me. I always want to take a canted look at something—I love a niche topic more than anything, and I love a high concept topic more than anything. Psychological edge play certainly is that.

“And so [Empress Wu and I] spent all this time talking about it. And the two classes of that we taught, one was an online version, one was an in person version, and they both involved demo scenes…We’re planning this and and I have it—It occurs to me to say, ‘Darling friend, I don’t feel safe with you, but I trust you.’ And I was like, ‘What is that?’ Because I don’t—you should NOT feel safe with this woman! You do so at your peril!”

“She’ll actually cut you!”

“Thank God! Lovingly so. But I was like, ‘that’s it! that’s the thing.’ The solution that I come up with in the book, you don’t have to feel safe, but you do have to feel in solidarity with someone when you’re doing something hard. They’re in solidarity with you, you’re in solidarity with them. It’s a relational construct. One way that Wu described it was using ‘mutual entanglement.’ And it’s just brilliant, you know? I could go set off on all sorts of tangents, but the brilliance of it, I think, is that it captures two really important facets of solidarity and being in relationship. The first is that you are wrapped up in someone, you’re entangled. Like limbs in bed. Like a mycelial network, like root systems. And then the second facet of it is the idea of tangling with something. It’s the idea that there’s conflict. That entanglement, at the heart of the solidarity relationship, there has to be tension, friction, conflict, even.

“Then it all came together. And this made sense to me. because you’re talking about two or more people risking so much. And I think about how I don’t have to feel safe with my friends, my therapist, my play partners, my clients. But I do have to feel like I am mutually entangled with them.”

It is a divine experience to get to be entangled with, seen, and described by such a brilliant and perceptive person. Listening to Athenais’s reflections of our scenes years later has me re-reckoning with its longstanding impact. To be mutually entangled is to recognize a truth of play: I, as an actor in scene, have no choice but to be affected by the events of play, no matter how unfeeling I am portraying my role. I am there not only as a witness, but as an additional rider in the vehicle of the scene, even if I am the one driving.

If you are reading this, I highly, highly, highly recommend grabbing yourself a copy of the second edition of Trans Sex, no matter how you identify, as it methodically outlines thinking about sex differently, thinking of your body differently, thinking beyond the typical emotional and physical scripts of sex, which is what kink is all about too in my very humble opinion.

At the start of 2024, 3 months into dungeon ownership, I ran into a problem: I had too much stuff. So much, in fact, that I had, as my dear friend R phrased it, “bought a house for sex hobby and run out of house.”

My wardrobe in particular was overflowing into my bedroom. Years of collecting vintage lingerie, specialty leather pieces, and endless gifts from a period of frequent sessions with a rubber fetishist were evident in the heaps of clothing spilling from my bed and puddling on the floor.

I decided to run an experiment to end overconsumption in my wardrobe. I adapted the 75 Hard Style Challenge, from , to specifically fit the needs of my kinkwear collection.

Rules and Regulations:

• Wear a different outfit every day of sessioning, filming, or playing

• Do not purchase anything new. I am however allowed to replace items if they are lost, stolen, or destroyed.

• Do not instruct submissives to buy outfits for me—this counts as buying new things for myself.

• I must document my outfits and collect data on what I actually wear.

My Findings

• The part of the challenge that insisted on novelty and variety woke up the part of me that enjoys what I wear as a creative medium. Clothing is to be enjoyed, is expressive, and I really get to lean into what I consider my erotic aesthetic. A simple bra + panty set feel incomplete to me when I could add a corset, stockings, and a pair of gloves. And having my own dungeon, without the looming deadline of a rental hour, gave me the space to take my time with pieces that I had previously considered “too much work”; I confirmed I am a full rubber fetishist through and through. Getting dressed is part of the job, but I loved making it a ritual that I LOVE; this preparation is a meditation, a donning of vestments that transitions me into session space.

• My wardrobe must be modified to fit my needs, and not the other way around. A pair of opera gloves too finnicky to put on? Cut the fingers off. A pair of leather pants are too long for my short legs? Cut the hem. A strangely liberating shift—that clothing is meant to be tailored to fit the needs of its inhabitants.

• More “things” take up more space, more psychological weight, more time to care for, clean, repair. Managing a large closet and its maintenance is a lot of work, and I do not want to waste my precious time or my submissives’ time dunking 20 different pieces of latex into soapy water.

• Generosity began to take on the form of experiences and nourishment instead of chasing material objects. I am much more inclined these days to have a devotee sponsor a trip to the spa, the tasting menu at a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try, or a Classpass subscription. If I am to give or receive a physical gift, I try to source that item secondhand, leatherpieces, dungeon furniture, or books, or from a small-batch artisans whose work I really admire, like Kolby Brianne Leather, River Queer Leatherwork, or Xanh Studio.

• I found myself reflecting on how overconsumption sinks its claws into our brains in sinister ways. I already had habits about my daily wardrobe—I buy high quality as much as possible, I buy secondhand almost exclusively, and I aim to repair or cobble as much of my closet as possible before buying—but for some reason I always made excuses about my work wardrobe. Material fetishism as a hobby had turned into straight up commodity fetishism, always wanting to have the newest shiny latex drop, or the right leather skirt would just complete this outfit I have in my fantasies. But after 8 years of personally and professionally collecting, I had more than enough pieces to create over 100 distinct outfits, and I didn’t even wear every single item in my wardrobe. It does not feel value-aligned to use my profession as an avenue to promote overconsumption, and that starts with me taking inventory of my own practices.

These days, I don’t adhere with the same strictness as the style challenge, but my desire to procure new items has drastically diminished. I purchase maybe 1-2 new kink wardrobe items/year, give parts of my collection away frequently, and direct my desire to acquire into sessions helping others to find their own personal style: as a sissy, as a kinkster, as a fetishist.

To love an object is to use it as it was intended to be used, to allow it to be worn down with time and affection, to care for it with reverence. To save an item for a special occasion is to make it suffer in hiding. The special occasion is living. Clothing items, like many of you, want to be loved, abused, used and worn.

I am writing from the liminal space between the solar and lunar new year—a quiet six-week window of reflection and incubation that has me taking stock of what the past year revealed and what I want to carry forward with intention into 2026, the Year of the Horse. 2025, the Year of the Snake, was a mirror year for me, reflecting back the habits and patterns that no longer serve. From that space, I’ve gathered the takeaways and ways of being I now want to manifest in the year ahead.

• More holes in 2026! Whimsically, I’d love to do experiments with what kind of objects I’m putting into butts this year

• More feminization in 2026—as I’ve grown deeper into my femininity, so have certain subs. I want full and complete transformations both in and out of the dungeon. Let’s do your makeup, then get matching pedicures, shop for a new wardrobe, wigs, and then have a girls’ night on the town~

Love is in the air. Can you feel it? It expands beyond its Hallmark forms, beyond making googly eyes at candlelit dinner, beyond a trail of roses to the bedroom, beyond Swiss milk chocolates snuggled in their red cardboard nests.

This Valentine’s Day I am musing about alternative forms of romance. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Cleo Ouyang back in 2023 for Wussy Magazine, in which I talk about alternative forms of romance. I hope you find a lot of pleasure in this excerpt.

CO: I want you to talk about what you did to your recent client.

EW: Let's call him Krazy Straw, because that's his name these days. He just gets so excited and continually filled with these intense desires to go further and to turn himself into the central engine and ultimate receptacle in a larger system of waste.

It took us some time to develop what it was that he was specifically looking for, because first it was just a session where he was like, “Make me drink your pee and make me eat my own cum.” Classic things, you know, normal boy things. There’s something about the *crispness* of fall that sends my body swirling back into memory, into nostalgia. Though I haven’t been enrolled in academia in years, I am suddenly attuned to the energetic rush of Back To School season; the sweet and opiate laziness of summer has ended and it’s time to get to Work.

While cleaning out my inbox on September 2nd, I came across some notes from my friend Meredith Talbot, a PhD student who observed select sessions of mine from 2022-2023. The following is a snippet from one of my most intense sessions she had ever observed (and one of the most intense sessions I’ve ever performed):

"When you hide, you're making a choice," she declares. "Think about all the wasted time you spent hiding. A whole decade." With that she lands a firm punch on his chest, and he yelps in shock and pain. She punches again, continues punching. His arms fly up to grab her fists to stop her, but she shirks him off and keeps going. He's gasping for air. "I need a second please!" His breathing is erratic, aggravated, scared. She does not give in, but instead punches him again. "You're angry at women," she insists, evenly. The punch lands.

"I'm angry at situations!" he screams. He is no longer dissociating. He is here, with her. She continues to punch as his body amps up his resistance, his arms flailing to stop her, his whispers of no swelling into desperate, screaming pleas for her to stop. But she keeps her cool, showing no sign of reaction. She is punching rhythmically now. "I know this is intense, but we are going to keep going until something comes out." 

And then, he breaks. 

He starts to sob, and his sobs become wails, his chest heaving, his head violently shaking no. She continues to hit him steadily on his chest. She is planted on him, like a weight stopping a balloon from being swept away into the sky. After a few minutes he starts soothing himself, calming down, and she dares him to keep going. “Do not stop until everything is out,” she instructs. She starts hitting him again and the cries resume, now with even more anguish. 

 "It's been there for a long time," she tells him. He wails in agreement, “so long!” His sobs are desperate, guttural. He starts begging her to stop. “Don't don't don't don't DON’T," he screams, but she keeps punching, seemingly unmoved by his hysterics. He grasps at her wrists firmly, but she shakes them off again, explaining calmly, "I know this is intense, but I have to keep going." She keeps hitting him over and over for so long, too long, until his wails pour out freely. It is only when he starts whistling, gagging, weeping, calling out "Oh God, oh God" does she at last stop and let him cry. He starts to cry like I don’t know if I have ever seen someone cry. For a while, as he cries she sighs with him. Each time he lets out a wail, she sighs just as loud, forcing the air and energy out of her body with him, in sync. As this continues, I realize something perverse is happening. These are not only sighs of empathy but of arousal. She is moaning in pleasure as he weeps, groaning “oh fuck” against backdrop of his descent into self-annihilation. 

Minutes go by, 5 minutes, 7, 10, and she stays on him, clutching his chest and securing his torso with her thighs, protecting him from completely spilling out. I have never seen someone cry this hard for this long, not least of all in front of someone ese. I marvel at Mistress X’s resilience; her refusal to intervene, to placate, to play it safe. 

Eventually she leans down to embrace him, resting her head on his chest as he sobs with a frightening fullness of being. She does not soothe him or ease his pain, but merely waits with a tremendous capacity for risk. The scene is horrifying, like watching a car crash. I am reminded of Mistress X’s fondness for car crashes. 

After more than 15 minutes have passed, his crying slowly starts to soften. She leans down and they’re clutching each other now, hugging, while he cries into her shoulder -- earnestly, though no longer hysterically. She does not shush him or soothe him. She holds space for him, remaining present and open, but firm. Eventually his cries fade and they breathe together for a long time, their bodies heaving up and down in unison. A whisper into his ear. “That’s it, that’s it.” 

I am in awe of how unafraid Mistress X is to be in this with him. To let it affect her. To affect him. To risk it all going so wrong and leading to pain -- for any of us.

His breath slowly – so, so slowly -- returns to normal.

Returning to these notes I am reminded of all the times I have guided someone towards their shattering, a moment of intense release and letting go of Who You Know Yourself To Be. What a gift it is to pull someone towards a cliff, and to dangle with them. I get to be shattered in return.

• As a result of the space, have been doing so many more extended scenes! 5 hour scenes! 8 hour scenes! Overnights! And they’ve all been an absolute blast. I’ve been having an amazing time with these extended scenes and I want to do so many more.

This year, I was offered the honor of judging the competition for International Ms. Leather. And this year, the two titlewinners ended up being two Leatherwomen of Asian descent, the first time this has ever occurred. This was such a significant year for me, and a historic moment for Asian leatherfolk everywhere. I wept upon the announcement of their win; it was incredibly meaningful to see them both rightfully mantled.

Other highlights from leather utopia include:

• facilitating my best friend’s first fisting experience in a 6 person fisting train

• watching another friend win the masochist v masochist fight club on saturday night, and cheering her on the whole way through with Amalia Valentine,

• peeing inside of someone’s cunt

• endless whipping

• organizing the aftercare suite with Kink Out Events (your bodies were so tired and needed so much hydration and massage!)

This weekend heavily strengthened my own appreciation for my friends and my community. I found myself returning to the same question over and over again, “what do we owe to each other,” as well as the same answers—joy, pleasure, the whole world. I will live in this leather forever.

And now that I’ve returned, I’m coming back to a full plate! My books for May are almost full, as I’m taking a much needed vacation in the middle of the month, and June books are limited as well due to birthday festivities and Pride. For the remaining sessions I have available, I want something *good*. Give me something juicy—a gangbang or a sissy sleeover or the indulgence of gooning or something laced with secrets you’ve never told anyone before. Whatever it is, bring me the full depth of your want; I can handle it.
