The United States must pursue a foreign policy based on human rights, international law, and the needs of working people.

That does not in any way include Israel or the proposed American-Israeli military merger legislation.

Congress MUST reject Section 219 of the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act, the United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.

Section 219 is literally a merger of the American and Israeli militaries.

It formally integrates American and Israeli defense technology and industrial systems.

Section 219 would establish a Pentagon executive agent to coordinate AI technology development and defense-industrial integration.

America should not be expanding military cooperation with Israel based on their genocidal conduct in Gaza.

Section 219 represents a wartime economic policy that adds only more American debt with no benefit.

All while Israel continues to remain a leech on us Americans.

While we struggle to afford housing, healthcare, and education, Congress finds new ways to spend American taxpayer money in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

American public resources should serve the American public.

The work of American scientists, engineers, and universities should first improve our civilian life, not Israel.

Healthcare, renewable energy, infrastructure, disaster response, transportation.

All areas where American working people desperately need investment.

Finally, Military alliances should remain subject to democratic debate and changing circumstances.

They should not become permanent through bureaucratic integration and defense-industry partnerships.

We cannot support Palestinian civilians, oppose terrorism, and defend human rights with the pariah of Israel holding our hand.

Choosing the United States Postal Service (USPS) over Amazon supports public institutions, workers, and communities.

USPS is a public service rather than a privately owned corporation.

Amazon exists to generate profits for its owners and shareholders.

USPS has a responsibility to provide services to the American public.

Supporting USPS means some essential services should exist to serve people rather than maximize private wealth.

Choosing USPS supports workers and organized labor.

Social democracy places tremendous importance on workers having a voice in the workplace.

Fighting for and receiving fair wages, benefits, and working conditions.

When we support public institutions with organized workers, we strengthen the labor movement and economic power they help create.

USPS represents the principle of universal service.

Everyone deserves access to basic infrastructure and services whether they live in a wealthy neighborhood or a small rural community.

A democratic society should not leave people behind simply because serving them is less profitable.

Citizens should have access to essential services based on being members of society, not an attractive customer.

USPS is part of America's public infrastructure.

Roads, libraries, public schools, and parks are examples of exceptions to a private profit motive.

We collectively invest in institutions because they provide benefits that extend beyond individual consumers.

Rather than allowing our economic infrastructure in the hands of enormous corporations, existing public institutions should be strengthened and modernized.

USPS is a small but meaningful political and economic statement.

No individual purchase is going to transform capitalism, but millions of everyday choices can.

Building an economy where workers, communities, and the public have greater control over resources and institutions support that vision.

USPS is not perfect, and Amazon can sometimes offer convenience or lower prices. But the question is bigger than convenience.

A stronger public sector benefits everyone, and sometimes the most democratic choice is to support the institutions that belong to all of us.
