So, what was the mission of Jesus when He came to earth?</p><p>To save, not to condemn.</p><p>Now, why are we&#8212;the sons of God, the very ones who carry His image&#8212;condemning people when our Master expects us to save them, no matter what?</p><p>Our primary assignment as chosen ones is not to condemn.</p><p>Whether we are prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, poets, prophetesses, counsellors, or whatever God has called us to be, we are expected to point people toward salvation, not push them further into condemnation.</p><p>We are called to represent Christ.</p><p>And if Christ came to save, then our lives should reflect that same heart.</p><p>We are sons of God.</p><p>And we are sent into the world to reveal Him through the way we love, speak, correct, restore, and lead people back to Him.</p><p>Not to condemn.</p><p>But to save&#8212;through God Himself.</p><p>This is another piece from my corner &#129330;</p>]]></content:encoded></item><item><title><![CDATA[CHRISTIAN WISDOM AND FREEDOM ]]></title><description><![CDATA[DON'T USE "I'M A PROPHET "AS AN EXCUSE TO IGNORE WISDOM]]></description><link>https://erica414209.substack.com/p/christian-wisdom-and-freedom</link><guid isPermaLink="false">https://erica414209.substack.com/p/christian-wisdom-and-freedom</guid><dc:creator><![CDATA[SOUL WRITER ✍️🩵]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Sat, 22 Aug 2026 18:58:36 GMT</pubDate><enclosure url="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!2bkw!,w_256,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F1cfa5286-4999-47ed-bced-9f138e94aeaf_1254x1254.png" length="0" type="image/jpeg"/><content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>&#8220;...so that we may not cause offense...&#8221;</p><p>&#8212; Matthew 17:27</p><p>There is something striking about this passage.</p><p>Jesus knew exactly who He was. He knew His authority. He knew the temple tax was not something He was obligated to pay in the same way others were.</p><p>Yet He still said, &#8220;so that we may not cause offense.&#8221;</p><p>That teaches us something about Christian maturity:</p><p>Knowing your freedom does not mean you must exercise it carelessly.</p><p>Sometimes we hide behind statements like:</p><p>&#8220;I am a prophet.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;I have revelation.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;God told me.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;I don't have to follow their rules.&#8221;</p><p>But spiritual authority should never become an excuse for disorder, rebellion, or unnecessary offense.</p><p>Jesus had every right to stand on His position, yet He chose wisdom.</p><p>This doesn't mean Christians should blindly obey every human rule or compromise God's Word just to please people.</p><p>No.</p><p>It means that when something is not a matter of disobeying God, love and wisdom should influence how we respond.</p><p>You can be spiritually gifted and still be teachable.</p><p>You can carry revelation and still respect order</p><p>You can have authority and still consider others.</p><p>You can know your rights and still choose restraint.</p><p>Being spiritual doesn't make you exempt from wisdom.</p><p>Sometimes maturity is not in what you insist on doing.</p><p>Sometimes maturity is knowing what you could do&#8212;and choosing, out of love, not to.</p><p>Jesus didn't compromise truth.</p><p>He simply refused to make His freedom a stumbling block.</p><p>Maybe that's something we need to learn too.</p><p>Don't use &#8220;I'm a prophet&#8221; as an excuse to ignore wisdom.</p><p>&#8212; Soul Writer &#9997;&#65039;&#128142;</p>]]></content:encoded></item></channel></rss>
