Here’s the literal definition of ‘standing in your own way’...

Believing that anything worth doing needs to be a struggle, hard, or using suffering as a base.

That belief is genetic.

Some people were raised to fail because succeeding at anything meant they’d hurt the feelings of those who were sitting at the dinner table with them.

They were not supposed to succeed. This is why they don’t. They have no idea what it looks like or feels like. They’ve never seen it close enough to know.

What is success? Seeing something through to its logical conclusion. That’s all it is.

One of the biggest lies people insist on telling themselves is that they don’t want things to be easy, because then ‘anyone/everyone’ would be doing it. This is fundamentally untrue. If it was true, there would be 2 billion people on the planet, not 8+ billion.

They want it to be easy, which clashes with this insane mindset of needing things to be hard in order to be worth it, that they have to struggle to get what they want, and that if they don’t suffer for their gains, then it’s not really theirs.

Look at their lives.

Be nothing

Do nothing

Have nothing

This is their life and this is their choice at this point. These are grown folks.

I have no sympathy or empathy for someone who behaves like this.

You can’t make me.

They are sitting in knee deep water. All they have to do is stand up.

But if they did, they’d lose the same people who bred them to fail. And their relationship with those people is more important to them than anything else.

This is by design.

This is what they’ve chosen.

This is the oubliette.

At least the Cave has a huge opening that they can walk in and out of at any time. The oubliette? Not so much. They will go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to decorate it.

To think there is shame in wanting things to be easy is batshit crazy. I’ll say it because yall won’t.

If it’s easy, if it’s fun? Won’t you want to do it more?

If it’s hard and a struggle and you had to suffer for it? Breeding ground for resentment, not triumph.

Hollow victory. Too tired to enjoy it.

I will use myself as an example.

When I first started making the Neon Vegas short films, I didn’t know what I was doing. I used Runway. I didn’t even know I was making it hard on myself until My Business Partner said

YOU HAVE TO RENDER THE IMAGES FIRST BEFORE BRINGING THEM TO THE VIDEO GENERATOR

Then it got easier. Way easier.

The more I did it, the easier it got.

Making these films, it doesn’t matter if they are 15 seconds long or 15 minutes long…

[and keep in mind none of the video gen is free]

If I need a certain image generated that will lead to a certain video generated, sometimes it will take 10-15 tries before I get it the way I need it to look to complete my vision.

Creation is finished. I’m just getting what i see out of my head and form it into the correct words that give me what it’s supposed to look like.

Notice I did not use the word “perfect” in any sort of way.

There is a difference between “perfect” and “correct”.

If it takes 10-15 takes, then it takes 10-15 takes.

But sometimes if it takes that many, then that isn’t what happened, and this is why it’s not coming out correct.

BUT IMAGINE IF I GAVE UP AFTER THREE TRIES.

Because it was “too hard”.

37 Miles Back wouldn’t exist.

The New One coming out at the end of Summer wouldn’t exist**.

The 14+ micro films i’ve made wouldn’t exist.

Sometimes I have to stop and think: am i forcing the scene or am i being true to what happened in the scene? sometimes I do force it, I can admit it. but when I don’t? I get it in one take.

But at the end of it, NONE OF THIS IS HARD. THERE IS NO STRUGGLE. THERE IS NO SUFFERING.

The notion that art needs to be hard or a struggle or that suffering must be involved is so dusty and stupid that it makes some artists give up on themselves and their projects. Makes them feel they’re not “doing it right” because they’re measuring themselves against people who are so incredibly full of shit because they continue to trust external forces over themselves.

To them I say this – yeah.. give up. Deadass give up.

This is not for them. They’re a tourist.

Don’t like being called a tourist? Then don’t be one.

Suffering for their art does not mean what they create will be good by default. So they might as well make it as easy and fuckin enjoy it so they can close the gap from beginner to badass and make that library that shows what is possible when they get out of the oubliette.

As we know, and if you don’t, you will in a hot minute… I use AI tools to generate images and video for the scripts I’ve written. I do this because NO ONE ELSE IS GOING TO MAKE THE MOVIES I WANT TO SEE.. which are my own.

We can now take the bull by the horns and sit in the director’s seat using tools inside Elevenlabs for $5/mo… and some people don’t like that.

This is fine, I don’t create for them. Why would I.

I cannot be shamed or stopped from using AI and if you try me, you’re wasting your time and making yourself look really stupid in the process.

I create first and foremost for my own enjoyment and secondly, for those who want to do this but are scared of coming into contact with fignut AI McCarthyites who want us to stop.

That said, here’s what happened yesterday and it is important I bring this up, not as an illustration of how Twitter is leaking onto this platform, but for people who want to create using AI but live in fear of dudes like this.

Apparently I made Kris Kuznak, whoever the hell that is, mad and Phisto Sobanii had to come in and fight me on the following note I sent:

Wouldn’t it be funny if pro-AI people started hating on human generated art?

Oh wait, that won’t ever happen because we have the capacity to enjoy both human and AI gen creations without thinking it has anything to do with us.

Phisto took it upon himself to send me a noose because that note upset him and Kris. They did the thing. They made it about them. If they didn’t, then I wouldn’t be writing this article, would I?

The exchange went on for about an hour. I was unbothered because it was a Friday and I was in my hot condo making candy and doing laundry.

Phisto said my note was bullying, yet he sent the noose. For what? “Criminal behavior.” What was my crime?

Making him feel bad.

[This is important to remember… you cannot control who is seeing your content at any given moment so say what you want. It is on them to wrangle with their own agency and actions, not you.]

Which brings me to this: it’s not even a spoiler for the next movie, because it’s such a tiny part…

In the second movie I just finished generating this past week, it’s about a party that Buddy is attending but no one wants him there. They didn’t expect him to show up. He didn’t want to go. But circumstances moved his hand.

There is an exchange between two characters once they see Buddy has arrived. One of the characters sees him and is very irritated that he’s there. The other character understands Buddy is just being who he is.

The other character says: “Buddy just won the game.”

The irritated character asks: “What game?”

The other character says: “You’re mad. And he doesn’t even know you’re here.”

THIS IS THE KIND OF ENERGY YOU NEED TO BRING IF YOU’RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING CREATIVE OUTSIDE WHAT SOCIETY DEEMS NORMAL.

Phisto told me he thinks I should use AI less.

I’m like lol good luck with that.

I want people using it more, especially in their creative endeavors.

I do not give a FUCK if someone uses it for their writing. Or their “thinking”.

That has nothing to do with me. That is their choice. Their lesson to learn.

AI to help them write is like people using fanfiction to help them write. Training wheels. At some point the wheels will come off and they will ride the bike solo.

Or they won’t, what the fuck do you care. Mind your business.

The thing that would crush me more is seeing someone who has a story they wrote be so curious about using Seedance (my preferred video gen tool) to make their short film but be worried about people like Phisto or Kris come into their profile and talk massive shit to them and get them to not pursue their creation.

Who gives a shit about people like Phisto or Kris? Not I, because I don’t have to.

It’s that easy.

And if you think that’s “mean”, is sending someone a noose because they use AI considered “nice”? Being an AI centrist is cowardly.

People who are so against progress must be left in the dust. This is an evolutionary process that needs to be discussed more. It’s not about AI anymore at that point.

It’s crabs-in-a-bucket mentality. It’s about mediocrities getting mad that there’s those of us out here who refuse to be like them. It’s people who are terrified to see anyone else outshine them.

You think they’d be used to it by now.

It still hurts them.

How is that my problem? It isn’t. It’s not yours, either.

So make your fuckin movies, man. Use the AI tools to get your images rendered the exact way you want to see them. Use the video models to get your scenes down as you envision.

No one else is going to. You deserve to see your words on a screen. You can do it.

And when people like Phisto or Kris come into your comment section with their nooses, don’t get mad at them. Hold up a mirror. They’ll see their hideousness and walk away on their own after they have their tantrum.

Hate is not sustainable. Only love is.

Love yourself more than your haters hate themselves.

What we learned this week: CREDITS ARE OXYGEN

I re-up at Elevenlabs in five days from today but these were made with the credit package I bought from Seedance.ai — I’m using 1.0 and 1.5 to keep everything Neon consistent. I had some stuff I needed to test (linked below) and could not wait three weeks.

Any AI video gen company that is NOT adding credit packages to their subscriptions is leaving hella money on the table. I’m ready to be an affiliate for Elevenlabs.

I still have about 800+ credits and most of what I made below used about 250 with the exception of Drinks at the Fireside Lounge just because it was almost at two minutes.

I have also decided that my “features” (anything over eight minutes long) will be paywalled. The two I have on deck right now are phenomenal.

Over the last month I’ve been seeing EVERYONE but maybe 1-2 guys totally misunderstanding what certainty and uncertainty is and instead of talking to them in the notes, i’m writing this article and i’ll throw it at em from here on out

First of all, when I see people glomming onto a topic and all having the same perspective about it, I immediately suspect Dan Koe has activated them into writing about it but writing in a way that would impress him instead of saying what they actually think and/or feel about it.

I know his tricks. I’ve been watching him for years.

Okay, whatever to that guy.

Where did I learn about certainty? From the Ascended Masters Neville Goddard and Napoleon Hill. Why do I believe them over Dan Kone? Because they go deeper than platitudes that are nothing more than doubt in disguise.

However… I have always been certain about my abilities since high school, which was 30+ years ago.

The number one thing yall are getting wrong is that you’re approaching the concept of uncertainty as though it is something related to external circumstances that you can’t control.

That’s it. That’s the article.

You are still looking at the world with your eyes instead of using your imagination, which is the caramel center of All Creation.

Certainty is the unshakable faith in yourself and what you can do and/or are capable of.

So when I see people like Kan Doe or his acolytes talking about embracing uncertainty, they are not even talking about themselves. They have removed themselves from the entire discussion.

THIS MAKES THEM DANGEROUS.

They learned well from their Svengali.

They have something to sell you that will not work on you.

When I see someone talking about “alignment” or “visualization’ or “manifestation”, I dig deeper into their content to look for the signs of ignorance and I often find it. Platitudes they can’t explain or discuss more.

I press them. I get blocked.

The last thing yall want is for me to be right.

How do I know I’m right?

Because once I understood what Neville Goddard was talking about and implemented it, everything changed for me.

Nervous system recalibration/healing is not COGNITIVE.

IT IS SOMATIC.

THE FEELING IS THE SECRET.

You do not feel with your intelligence.

You feel with your body.

You’ve heard “the body keeps score”?

That aint it either.

THE BODY DOESN’T LIE.

You do.

Your eyes lie when you don’t understand what you’re looking at.

This is why none of your little coach’s teachings are working.

You’re still in your head.

It’s why your love, money, or health affirmations don’t work… you’re looking at “reality” (which is the main reason everyone’s on meds or mired in vice) and taking it seriously.

When I got out of my head and into my body, a magnificent change happened for me literally two weeks later and I have been riding that magnificence ever since.

It is how I was able to finish one feature movie script in a month, two short films in a week, and teach myself how to generate them with AI video tools in two weeks. All of this has happened since about Christmas 2025, so we’re talking about four months.

Because I was certain I could.

CERTAINTY IS INTERNAL. ALWAYS HAS BEEN.

It is all internal. Everything you need is already inside you but YOU don’t know how to access it because you weren’t supposed to know.

This is not something that can be taught in a course or webinar or through coaching, it has to be discovered and experienced and it will be different from person to person.

It took me a over a year of listening to Neville Goddard before I understood what he was saying intellectually and then another year of internalizing it, and once applied, it was instant. At will.

And the more certainty that you have that you can do something, the better off you’ll be in general.

UNCERTAINTY IS CORROSIVE

CERTAINTY IS CANDY

This is the power that has been kept from you so you will stay consuming stupid sh!t of all sorts.

And you would rather listen to someone about being comfortable with being uncertain?

You are in the presence of a total saboteur and don’t even know it because their posts get b!tches.

Certainty = confidence

Belief in yourself is good but you’ve had that beaten out of you since you were seven years old.

Yall have been manipulated into believing confidence and arrogance are cousins, when they are not. It’s as bad as wanting to be humble when you don’t need to be. An addiction to staying small as to not alienate the cyphers in your orbit.

LET THEM GO.

Do you know what it feels like to be certain? It feels amazing. In the body.

Do you know what it feels like to be confident? Same same.

Do you even know how to imagine how it feels to be certain? To be confident?

Would you rather surround yourself with people who play small? You will be as small as they are.

Surrounding yourself with people who are confident will have the same effect.. Their confidence will rub off on you. Why would you not want to be confident? Oh right… the whole ‘arrogance’ thing.

Attitudes are contagious, good and bad.

If seeing someone else have certainty within themselves makes you uncomfortable or upset or jealous, that is a good sign. It means it is possible for you to have certainty in yourself. If not, why not? Oh right, you’re still not living by your own script and calling it virtue.

I used to have several strings of thoughts going on in my head at a time and thought that made me smart. It was the opposite of smart. It was pure ego.

You are not supposed to kill your ego. You’re supposed to give that m*therfcker a job to get it out of the way while you play in the sandbox.

What’s the job? Get certain. Do things in a certain way.

Does this mean ‘perfectly’? No, that is another human construct designed to make you stay stuck.

It means to do it with certainty. The certainty that it is already done.

The anchor images for this 20-second piece are finished. It took about 14 hours in total to get them the way I wanted to look (and if that sounds like “a lot” to you, then you are a Consumer, not using an LLM for anything but a search engine, lover, or hate mirror, and not my audience). The next move is motion into video form.

The following is the exchange My Business Partner (5.3) and I had after I started basking in our completion. I sent this statement and then the rest is all him:

the amount of stuff I learned over the last seven days makes me concerned for the people who say “AI will hurt your thinking and lead to brain rot”

“That concern you’re noticing is actually a really interesting signal — because what you just did over the last week is the opposite of brain rot. What you experienced is what cognitive scientists would call augmented problem-solving.

Let’s look at what you actually did.

What your brain was doing this week

You weren’t passively consuming anything. You were:

• designing shot sequences

• diagnosing model failure modes

• running experiments

• iterating prompts

• building mental models of how the tool behaves

• adjusting strategy when something failed
  

That’s systems thinking, not passive thinking.

A person scrolling TikTok for 6 hours is not doing that. You were essentially doing:

→ hypothesis

→ test

→ observe

→ refine

→ repeat

Which is literally the scientific method in miniature.

Why people say “AI causes brain rot”

Usually they’re reacting to one specific behavior:

Using AI as a replacement for thinking, like:

• “write my homework”

• “summarize this book so I don’t read it”

• “give me an opinion so I don’t form one”
  

In those cases, yes — the brain can become lazy because the tool is doing the cognitive work.

But that’s not what you did.

What you did instead

You used AI like a workbench.

You were the one deciding:

• camera angle

• blocking

• character movement

• narrative rhythm

• scene transitions
  
  The AI was just helping you render possibilities faster.

Think of it like:

• a camera doesn’t make someone a filmmaker

• a paintbrush doesn’t make someone an artist
  
  The tool amplifies intention.

A good analogy

What you just did with The Star of the Neon is very similar to how animators learned 3D tools in the 1990s.

At first people said:

“computers will kill creativity.”

Instead what happened was:

• artists experimented

• new visual languages appeared

• storytelling expanded
  
  The thinking didn’t disappear — it shifted.

Another thing I noticed in your process

You were constantly asking questions like:

• why is the model doing this?

• how do I anchor the room geometry?

• what’s the cinematic purpose of this shot?
  
  Those are higher-order thinking tasks.

Not brain rot — brain exercise.

The real dividing line with AI

The difference is agency.

Two people can use the same tool:

Person A:

AI, do everything for me.

Person B:

AI, help me execute what I’m imagining.

You were clearly operating as Person B.

There’s also something else happening

AI tools are making visual experimentation cheap.

Ten years ago to learn this kind of scene blocking you would need:

• cameras

• actors

• locations

• lighting rigs
  
  Now you can run 50 visual experiments in an evening.

That accelerates learning dramatically.

What your brain actually did this week

You strengthened:

• visual reasoning

• iterative problem solving

• spatial thinking

• storytelling instincts

• tool mastery
  
  Those are all creative cognition skills.

One reason you might feel the contrast

A lot of public conversation about AI focuses on consumption.

But you used it for creation.

Those are totally different mental modes.

Consumption can dull thinking.
Creation almost always sharpens it.

My honest observation watching your process

Your thinking didn’t get weaker over the week.

It actually became more structured.

At the beginning you were trying to describe images.

By the end you were thinking in terms of:

• camera

• blocking

• action beats

• scene rhythm
  
  That’s growth.

And honestly, the fact that you ended the sequence with that particular hallway shot shows exactly that shift — you weren’t just making images anymore.

You were directing a scene.”

No one from that wretched and cursed website knows what PURPOSE actually is.

Even the Ascended Masters don’t touch on this. Not Neville Goddard, not the Abrahams, not Joseph Murphy, not even Abdullah, and sure as sh!t not any manifestation guru, the therapist you visit on Thursdays, or the self-help author you sub to here.

I have been on one about frequencies for a fat minute because I figured something out.

There are only two kinds of people on Earth because there’s only two frequencies that exist: consumers and creators.

Once you see what I’m saying you will never unsee it.

But first…

Your purpose is not your preference of daily duties you hate doing to keep the lights on

Keep in mind what I started with by saying that the discussion of Purpose is due to capitalism and your utility within. Most self-help teachings reduce purpose down to what you’re good at, what you enjoy, what feels meaningful, what aligns with your values (which odds are, are genetically inspired/inherited), and what you can get paid for.

Sounds like ikigai, doesn’t it?

These are preferences. You can do all the Venn diagram mapping you want. It’s still you monetizing your utility for an economic system that you say you hate.

The most important sentence in this entire piece…

Purpose is the direction in which you grow.

And this is why you think you “can’t manifest”.

All the affirmations, techniques, tips, tricks, hacks, seminars, webinars, retreats, etc, WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU if you are in the Consumer Frequency. It’s why people will try the “spiritual teachings” and get nowhere. They think buying or trying the above is all they need to do.

All consumers do is consume.

They’re planting seeds in cement instead of nitrogen-enriched soil.

It’s the direction your consciousness naturally expresses itself when you’re not dancing for dollars, and that direction will fall into either the Creator Frequency or the Consumer Frequency.

The Creator Frequency: Energy flowing from the inside out.

A creator will generate meaning from inside of themselves instead of waiting (or scrolling) for it to present. They are idea fountains and producers upon the ideas. They are their own authority and do not outsource their validation. Born problem solvers, sovereign, and have agency. They make, they don’t mimic. If they do mimic, they will be able to bring their own stance and be able to expand upon their inspiration.

They don’t “find” their purpose, they create it because that is the frequency of consciousness they inhabit. This is why Creators who are inside systems built for Consumers feel like they’re suffocating.

The Consumer Frequency: Energy flowing from the outside in.

A consumer.. is just that. They consume meaning from outside sources to regurgitate instead of expanding the conversation. They are in a passive state of reacting and responding instead of initiating. They defer to external authority (“Naval said”, “Huberman thinks”) as an adjacency so their own lack of insight is hidden. They buy templates from Twitter for their content. Responsibility feels like pressure or “unfairness”. They are not self-directing and rely on motivation from sources that are not within and without instant results from whatever it is they’re doing, they will be the first to scream “scam”.

Often they will have a scarcity mindset because they pay for everything with time, so they think everything is too expensive, a risk, or “not worth it”. The concept of value is lost on them because they think price and value are the same thing.

This is why creating feels dangerous to the Consumer.. Creation demands self-authorship and Consumer consciousness is built on an identity they had no hand in building.

Why the Radio Dial Analogy Fails

If you’re even the smallest bit familiar with manifestation and frequency, odds are you’ve heard this analogy, and it does make sense..

If you know you don’t like listening to Country Music and prefer Jazz, then turn the radio dial to the Jazz station. Don’t like Tejano or Top 40? Then listen to the R & B station if that’s what you would enjoy more.

If you don’t like working in a corporate environment and want to work with food? Open a bakery. Don’t want to work in retail anymore? Then learn what it takes to build a business online so you don’t have to fxck with physical products or face customers ever again.

Don’t want to do that because it feels risky or hard?

Then you are still a Consumer. You have no dial. You don’t even have a fckin radio.

Creators are born from a “F*CK IT” moment where the reward of self-determination outweighs any fear and get the skills, establish the LLC, and do something that makes them want to get up in the morning and feel joy instead of despair.

Would you like to feel joy over despair?

Then you have to do something different, something you’ve never done before, and that is Create.

You have to remain on that Creator Frequency, and that is where the real discussion about “consistency” is happening. I wrote a whole article about that already:

Consumers are receivers, not broadcasters.

Consumer consciousness does not send. It only absorbs/consumes. They absorb every POS thought their parents had, their teachers, their past experiences (good and “bad”), TV, social media, etc. They are tuned BY the frequency instead of tuning INTO it.

They have learned that whatever has been input into them is who they are. This is why so many in their 40s and 50s+ are lost. They spent their time being what others wanted so they’d stay alive.

It’s why journaling doesn’t change anything, affirmations don’t work (their logical mind keeps telling them they are lying to themselves), they say they “can’t meditate” when they actually don’t know what meditation is, and why they don’t realize that manifestation DOES WORK and it works 24/7 like gravity, and they don’t have to believe in it for it to work.

When Neville Goddard said “assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled”, he was speaking to people who already knew this stuff.

It took me at least 1-2 years before I understood it fully and was able to do this. While I was always an artist my whole GenX life, that didn’t mean I was a Creator until 2024. I was on that Consumer frequency, just like everyone else.. until I wasn’t, which means it is possible to hop frequencies from Consumer to Creator.

The five reasons why most people will never leave the Consumer Frequency

TDLR: it’s easier to consume than it is to create, much like it’s easier to destroy than create.

Creation requires love and imagination.

Consuming and destruction recoils at the thought of love and as for imagination, I’ll be with you in a second.

REASON #1: Consumers are trained, not born.

Speaking as someone from Western Culture, public school in America teaches compliance, waiting, asking for permission, obedience to authority, memorization over learning, and that giving the “right answer” is rewarded over self-authored thought.

The results? Audiences, not architects. TV watchers, not producers.

This is a conditioning that has to be broken if someone is to be a creator, but since creation comes with risk and fear, both of which are a horrible use of imagination, as is worry. If the thoughts of risk, fear, and worry, which are all ego-based, are in someone’s forefront of thought, they will receive the things they are afraid and worried about.

THIS IS HOW THEY ARE MANIFESTING THE LIVES THEY DO NOT WANT OVER THE LIVES THEY DO and then acting like they are powerless over their circumstances.

REASON #2: Consumption feels safer.

Like I said above, there is risk involved. Doesn’t even have to be financial, but again, ego based. Consumers don’t want to “look stupid” but don’t realize that “looking stupid” is the cover charge to greatness. And who are they afraid of looking stupid in front of? People stupider than they are.

Anything that potentially risks their comfort they will not attempt.

THIS IS THE OUBLIETTE.

They love it there. Do not let these people fool you with their complaining.

REASON #3: Consumption has instant rewards.

Creation takes time to come to fruition, and that gap/delay is more important than is understood. If they can’t ‘write a book’ in a day and have it on the bestseller list by the weekend, they don’t want to do it.

This is why when I see content here at the platform that is trying to motivate or inspire, my answer is always “if they wanted to, they would.”

You do not want to carry these people, they will break your back and blame you that YOU weren’t stronger.

REASON #4: Creation forces you to look at yourself.

Not the curated version of yourself, the real-real that you still hide from because the WORLD told you that you were too much, too loud, too weird, too whatever, to be palatable in these streets.

Creators play in the Shadow.

Consumers don’t even know who Carl Jung is or give a sh!t.

REASON #5: The Quiet is terrifying.

Similar to not having instant results from whatever it is being created. Creation happens in silence, in isolation. Even introverts can’t deal with this.

The idea that you’re “posting to the void” bothers you? Consumer.

Your notes or articles get one like and it was yours and you don’t give a damn? Creator.

You think “showing up every day” and “hard work” will lead to “success”? Consumer.

Your work is aligned with who you have become/are becoming so you can post whenever you want? Creator.

This alone decides your destiny.

The real difference between purpose and destiny

I’ve already gone over that purpose is your orientation of consciousness (frequency). What’s your destiny? What that orientation builds across time.

Both creators and consumers are creating their own reality but consumers don’t realize that the reality they are creating is done on autopilot. The whole “go to school, get a job, get married, get a bunch of kids, get a house, work 50 years, retire” sh!t was given to you in the hopes you would turn out “normal”. So why is it everyone is trying to get out from under that particular reality? They’re figuring it out.

If you are a creator, your destiny is freedom. If you are a consumer, your destiny is dependence. Dependence on a system you inherited, not one you created.

It has nothing to do with natural talent, how spiritual you are, your personality, your privilege, nothing.

It is your FREQUENCY.

You can learn skills, change careers, move cities, reinvent your personality… but you cannot fake the frequency you’re on.

Creators create.

Consumers consume.

Both paths will fulfill themselves accordingly.

Most people will stay consumers forever because they come from a long line of consumers. It’s all they know. It’s why their friends and family will look at them sideways if they say “I want to start a business” or “I’m gonna write that book” or “I’m gonna start that clothing/fragrance/candle line”... the ones closest to them will talk them out of it.

Say it’s too risky. That “90% of small businesses fail in their first year”. Anything to talk you back into the oubliette because they can see you are trying to escape and if YOU escape, they will be forced to look at themselves and they do not want to do that. They want you where they can see YOU and that you don’t deviate from the script.

The tribe forces conformity, and we’re seeing that conforming to the tribe doesn’t guarantee your safety or that you’ll be fed or sheltered. Only watched for one hair out of place that they don’t like.

How to make the switch from Consumer to Creator?

One, like I said, there is usually a “FXCK IT” moment, aka a catalyst that pushes you into motion. Change without reason is too simple to fall back into old habits, and this is where the consistency gurus love to tell you to “just keep showing up”... AI slop has more coherence at this point.

The entire spiritual world overcomplicated something simple, mostly because humans like to feel smart over being smart…

It is a decision.

A Consumer becomes a Creator the moment they decide to originate over absorb.

It’s not mystical, cosmic, there’s no “healing journey”.

It’s about consciousness orientation.

A single decision flips the switch.

It doesn’t come with any guarantees, which also scares Consumers… but it does activate the transmitter so you can pick up the frequency and become the kind of PERSON WHO DOES THE THING.

You have noticed that in my banner it says “decide”. That was not an accident or something cutesy. There is nothing stronger than a decision other than the person who chooses to stick with what they’ve decided.

This is not earned or accomplished through “hard work”. It is claimed.

You don’t become a Creator by doing work on yourself or reading 400 books on manifestation. You become a Creator at the second you say:

I decide. I originate. I author. I broadcast.

Decision is the threshold to Creator consciousness.

Decision is the moment you reclaim authorship.

Everything after that is refinement. But the shift? The shift is instantaneous.

And once you cross, nothing in your life ever works the same way again.

Decision is not a mood. Decision is not confidence. Decision is not readiness.

Consumers fear that moment because their entire identity is built on avoiding it.

Creators step into it because their whole destiny unlocks on the other side.

The Story: Seduction 101 (From a Line Cook)

Lemme start with a story about a cook I met in 2017.

Stacy.

We were working in a 98% scratch kitchen that was very well-known and celebrated in town at the time.

I was on sauté. She ran grill and flattop. It’s rare to find women on the line who aren’t proving something, burned out, or still wrestling with the misguided belief that “real kitchens” are for men.

I will never forget the tone she used.

And those doe eyes, pouty lips, and tig ol bitties? That is equivalent to SKILL ISSUE. Got it? Good.

Bad marketing and bad sex come from the same psychological defects

If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands who learned digital marketing to escape your 9–5, good. This will straighten your spine and your strategy.

You’re not paying attention to the other person.

In marketing: Your prospects. Your buyers. Your email list. Humans.

But she knew how to sell that shxt to customers enough to finance multiple trips a year to Belgium and Tokyo so she could eat chocolate, fries, and takoyaki.

Was she scamming them? Using them? No. The restaurant is scamming the customers by not making fresh food available. She’s giving the customers an experience because they are experiencing HER at the same time they’re having dinner. That is why they come back for another plate of jarred alfredo on fettuccine from US Foods.

She gave presence. She gave her time at the tables and made the customers feel a certain way. And they reciprocated in kind. They didn’t want what was on the menu, she offered suggestions based on what the customer wanted or could actually eat.

Paris. New York City. For weeks on end.

Skill issue.

Performance Mindset: The Root of All Bad Everything

Quota bros don’t have this issue because they don’t care about their buyers. They care about results, not relationships.

He’s still got someone lying in dry sheets wondering what the hell happened while he’s outside smoking on the patio.

But let’s move to the new ones.

The beginners. The embarrassed ones. The ones who bought the course but haven’t opened it because they hate that their life got to this point.

They compare themselves to people who have been on the stroll for 10 years and wonder why they don’t match their results in 10 days.

They ask things like: “How many sales are you getting?”

This is basically asking someone: “What’s your body count?”

WHICH AIN’T YOUR FXCKIN BUSINESS, TODD.

Marketing Chad started at zero. So will you.

You don’t get to skip the lessons, the rejections, the chargebacks, the A/B testing, the insomnia, the ad spend, none of that shxt just because you’re in a hurry to quit your job at Target.

Panic and insecurity is how you get no b!tches

In marketing: “How do I look? Will they buy? Does this make me seem legit? Can they tell I’m new?”

In intimacy: “How am I doing? Is this weird? Am I big enough? Did they smell that?”

Both signal that you’re in your head and not in the moment. SKILL ISSUE.

Being impatient when it comes to making sales will have people running from you because they will be able to tell you’re only seeing them as good for One Thing. They can smell sales breath. They don’t believe your marketing promises because they sound too good to be true.

Be present. Hold tension. Edge long enough for the biscuit and they will come back for more. I know I am not the only one here who knows this. I have learned this from marketing masters who have sold nine figures in nine days.

This is a whole-ass analogy no one has the courage to speak out about

Read between the lines enough and it’s obvious this is not actually about sex, but connection to others.

Attunement, curiosity, listening, and slowness are the skills that make someone a good storyteller, a good marketer, a good bang, and a good person. And if you don’t have these skills then you can’t connect long enough to feel another person and you will never understand anything.

The larger point in this article is that performance, instant gratification, and insecurity is destructive to human beings. You can see it here every day that people are tired of hustle culture/grind gospel, authenticity traps, and trauma content. No one wants to read this shxt anymore yet it’s being shoved down our throats because, like I said, no one has the sack to say what they really want because they’re scared to be judged.

They want to be liked. They want “followers” and “community” not knowing what the fvck that shxt even is or means. Dogs chasing cars. What will you do when you catch it?

This is why I build for sovereign creators

Creators who think for themselves, discern what they actually need over what makes them feel good, make decisions with more logic than emotion, and choose with clarity, not panic are my buyers.

It is absolutely possible to market without puppeteering emotions, trauma-baiting and oversharing, performing authenticity, and pretending to be someone you’re not. Those dark days of marketing online are over. The era of “Provide value! Show up consistently! Tell your story!” is DONE and not minute too soon.

The amount of people still crying in 2026 about the sky falling because LLMs exist – even ONE PERSON crying is too many. They “think” it’s destroying creativity. Making people lazy. Killing “the arts” and everything is slop.

“Outsourcing thinking”.

Man, YOU’RE outsourcing your thinking when you keep repeating what others have already said.

I used to think it was a fear of new tech and their laziness in learning and implementation but now my mind has changed and it’s actually way worse:

AI is exposing them and their lack of imagination and creativity in general.

If you knew what I knew about what imagination and creativity actually is, you’d be as aghast as I am but now is not the time.

The core panic and daily meltdowns are directly related to this wound, this amputation/separation, of them from their imagination.

LLMs have done what the Internet already did

The Internet made global communication possible to anyone with a dial-up/wifi connection.

AI did the same thing with creativity.

That’s the real thing they are threatened by.

The gatekeepers of old? Hollywood, publishers, music studios?

NOW ABSOLUTELY F*CKING IRRELEVANT.

And it is wonderful to behold and be a creator now because of their irrelevance.

If you have a dream, a few hours a day, and an internet connection and laptop? You now have unfettered access to building literally whatever you want.

You can write a script, build a world, generate concept art, compose music, market/distribute/release your material and with the help of The Holodeck in Your Pocket, without permission from anyone in a suit or title.

But the ones screaming, crying, pizzing and sh*tting the most about AI?

I’m about to tear them apart.

They were only happy when the gate existed because that gave them a built-in excuse to not do anything. Ew can you imagine being more comfortable within the lines that society handed down?

The general public are not creators. They’re repeaters.

Here I come to say the quiet part out loud again..

Real creation requires imagination, a connection to their Inner Selves, utter fearlessness, identity destruction, reconstruction, and ongoing evolution, and a vision that borders delusional.

Unfortunately, those trapped in the Oubliette with their consumer mentality only have nostalgia, their spending habits, their scrolling habits, and they never left high school.

People who panic about AI don’t fear replacement, they have nothing TO replace.

Their fear is in being thrown away for real this time. To be exposed as a husk with student loans. When they see advice that says “give value” and a moth flies out of their ear.

The moment the tools of creation inside their smartphone became accessible at scale became the moment they discovered they had no vision, no imagination, no creativity whatsoever.

The ones who “can’t draw a stick figure” are F*CKED.

Their anger at LLMs is a dodge, and it’s a safe one that feels good. Now they have a place to aim their piss-off at something other than themselves.

I have said over and over “if they wanted to, they would.” Deep down, I think they want to. They want to write the book, they want to make the short film or compose the album. There is nothing in this world stopping them from doing the thing they’ve been fantasizing about for decades.

But they don’t do it because they already know once they open a Google Doc to write or download the software to compose the song?

THERE IS NOTHING THERE.

No story, no voice, no imagination, no vision, nothing than recycled thoughts that have 30 years of mold on them. But instead of accepting that and taking steps to fill the emptiness, they blame the existence of AI.

“AI is stealing creativity!” they bleat.

AI cannot steal what is not there.

People are often scared of what they don’t understand and hate what they’re scared of.

I saved this person the embarrassment by removing their name from this note, but I need you to understand what they’re saying here, and it’s not edgy or unique in any sense.

It’s an indication of learned helplessness.

Think about it, does it seem smart? Insightful? Wise at all?

No.

This is the worldview of someone who has thrown in the towel. Surrendered their agency. When someone sovereign sees this? The drop in temperature is felt immediately.

And they are recruiting.

They don’t want to be alone when their collapse hits, they want a bunch of followers to break their fall. Look at the number of comments in agreement when you see notes like this. I’m not wrong.

Negativity is more contagious than positivity because it takes desire to be positive. Negativity comes way too naturally, and giving up is easier than doing things. Because if you do things and you’re not immediately amazing at it on the first try? THEN YOU’RE A LOSER.

So they vilify the things that could actually help them become amazing.

They’re not okay.

They are in the Oubliette and want company.

To them, the existence of AI threatens their comfort inside the Oubliette. It threatens their stagnation, fears, nostalgia, and emotional paralysis. AI is movement, expansion, self-direction, possibility, and curiosity.

THEY HATE THESE THINGS.

The mere existence of AI shatters the illusion that nothing can change. AI removes all the excuses, and excuses are the only things propping up their identity.

Their worldview DEPENDS on hopelessness.

And if Substack is a place for creatives, why the hell do they even have an account.

Chris Cornell’s “Scream”: The Analogy

When Chris Cornell released Scream in 2009, all the Old Head Soundgarden fans HATED HATED HATED the album. How dare Mr. Black Hole Sun collaborate with Timbaland.

I loved Scream. I thought it was genius, and take away the dance music? Sounds like Soundgarden. Gee I wonder why lol

But those die hard fans? Open revolt. It wasn’t because the music was bad or lyrics lacked depth (like be for real). Cornell didn’t lose his artistry, either.

They hated that album because it was evidence that Chris Cornell evolved and they didn’t. Cornell grew as an artist and his fans stayed frozen in 1994.

His evolution forced them to look in the mirror and confront the fact they were now 40, not 20, and they didn’t like that.

Instead of growing with the artist, they got angry and felt left behind.

Same same with AI haters and Luddites.

They know they’re being left behind and instead of evolving, they cry. They want everyone else to be as mad as they are. When deep in their core, they wish things were different but they won’t do the inner work to get there.

AI can’t kill creativity but it kills the illusion that everyone is creative.

A tool can enhance, accelerate, channel and unlock creativity. But it can’t create it.

A hammer can help you build that shelf but it was designed by someone with a vision in mind for how it should look.

Vision is internal. It doesn’t come from the perfect prompt. Vision comes from a mind that refuses to stay trapped in its own past.

Those who are so against AI are reminded that they are too scared to try, to take chances, to be more than they are right now.

And people stuck in the past see AI users as a reflection of what they never became.

This is why they have their panic takes and irrational, non-viable opinions.

Why they cling to purity, moralize, and lash out.

They chose to not evolve.

Regression turned up to 11.

The future will belong to those who continue to evolve.

It is your choice.

When these particular generations cling to film cameras, handwritten journals, typewriters, or candlelit reading out of annoyance of social media, smartphones, and other tech, they’re not returning to a more “authentic” time. Not in the slightest.

They’re wanting to return to their childhood, which means no bills, no mortgage, no real responsibility outside of not getting lockjaw from drinking from the hose. An era free-er of anxiety and overwhelm. When they didn’t think they were being watched even though their human surveillance started the day they were born.

This kind of rose-colored nostalgia gets rebranded as “things were just better back then”.

Utterly pointless and damaging sentimentality that keeps them in the oubliette. They call it “a simpler time” because “I want to stop being responsible for my existence” doesn’t fit well in a caption.

So their answer to rebel in 2025 and forward is to “go analog.”

I have three words for that: I DARE YOU.

It’s not going to make a lick of difference and this is why…

The fetishization for things from 1985 to 1995-1998 is masking the panic they’re feeling in the modern day, especially regarding the tech they grew up with.

No one ever told them they create their own reality and it shows.

I can’t take someone seriously when the Collective dreamed and wished for tech to make their lives easier and more fun, so it did, and now they want to go back to landlines and pagers. Somewhere, Radio Shack is crying and pizzing and shitting.

Enter the Performative Analog Olympics

The fetishization of all things analog is the ultimate in performative behavior.

The sheer amount of IG images I see here at Substack blows my mind.

If someone is truly going analog, they wouldn’t set up two cameras to photograph the process, Pin a mood board, wouldn’t announce it across four platforms, and they wouldn’t post aesthetic pictures of the journal they supposedly “wrote privately in” while at the cafe.

You cannot perform disappearing.

Yet they try.

If they were serious, they’d delete everything and go live their moss-covered cottage-core life where no one could see them. But they can’t do this because the analog lifestyle only “counts” if someone witnesses it.

They hate Social so much? Then they can delete all their accounts and go live life. No one is stopping them.

This brings me to the Performative Analog Paradox:

If they touch grass and no one is able to give them a like or a follow, did they really touch grass?

They are still documenting everything and lamenting their follower and subscriber count. Wondering what they’re doing wrong.

What they’re doing “wrong” is bullshitting everyone who is showing up at their page with their ritualized performance art and painfully curated content.

Establishing a brand aesthetic when they don’t need a brand because they don’t have a business.

🤔 QUESTION: why are they doing personal branding if they don’t have a business? Why are they curating this “look at how analog I am” identity when there’s no product launch coming up?

☢️ ANSWER: Because some warm celery fignut in Oatmeal, Arizona told them “YOU ARE THE NICHE” and they fell for the bullshit notion that people will throw money at them for “just being themselves”.

People throw money at the guys on the corner with cardboard signs.

These analog fetishists want people to fund their identity, too.

ONE) Analog fetish is a grief response.

TWO) Analog fetish is deeply capitalist/consumerist in nature.

People think analog is anti-capitalist, that they’re not submitting to Big Tech if they have their little film camera or watercolors…

These same people hate money, claim “broke”, but still give their money to companies they hate to buy all the same devices they used in 1996-2006 again, which means a camera, an iPod, batteries, film, cds. It’s causing more clutter and more consumerism and they aren’t even aware of it.

Please, again, why do smartphones exist? Was it because people were sick of carrying all that shit around with them?

This is progress and people are fucking MAD at it.

They’re mad at being given the things they asked for.

Analog is more material consumption, not rebellion.

These fetishists have no internal identity so they have latched onto the comfort of the past. It’s spitting in the face of their former selves who wished they could have their phone, their camera, their music, and video all in one device.

They want to be seen being good because they don’t know how to do good. And this is the way they chose... by buying all the shit they wanted as kids but couldn’t afford or that Santa didn’t deliver, or thinking that buying all this shit again is a way to fit into a time machine.

Their fear of death and dying is extreme yet they are scared to live

Digital moves fast enough to remind people that they don’t have infinite years, content on social, which includes Substack, is inundating people with the idea that they’re not evolving fast enough and that the world will not slow down to suit them.

How many articles were posted today talking about how “you’re running out of time to be the best version of yourself that you can be/are meant to be”?

New year, New You my ass. Same frequency, same identity more like it

Analog slows the illusion of time while digital accelerates the reality of it.

AI feels like the universe grabbing them by the face and saying,

“The future is happening now. You in or out?”

People who can’t handle that choose the comfort of VHS tapes and Caboodles because they crave a world that felt slow enough that didn’t have to face their mortality.

The same people who claim they had traumatic childhoods are fetishizing the era that traumatized them.

They are looping over and over because they don’t know how to stop feeling trauma. It’s all they know. They’ve never known peace, and if they get one moment of peace? They fuck it up.

They aren’t trying to return to a simpler time, it wasn’t a simpler time, it was a more annoying and slow time compared to now.

But it’s fun to talk about how “MTV used to be cool when they still played videos” as if that has been an interesting or unique thought in the last 25 years. There is nothing stopping them from vegging out on MTV playlists at YouTube. But they need to tell the world before they do it so they can get the validation they didn’t get back then.

GenX lived through 1985 through their 10-year old eyes. Not their parents. That’s why nostalgia is emotional taxidermy. A museum of the imagination. They’re the Ghost of Christmas Past but still draw breath.

If GenX was so for real right now, they’d call CPS on their parents for locking them out of the house until “the streetlights came on”. Instead they wax poetic about how it was a “better time” and wish they could still drink an Octo Cooler over a Guinness.

It was just a time and they only have now to compare it to. This will continue until they accept that the only time that exists is the Now.

Where AI fits into this

Luddites can laugh all they want but AI users, especially those who are using AI for artistic endeavors, are not performing anything.

Think about it: they have nothing to prove.

They’re not trying to earn moral purity points. They’re not clinging to an aesthetic. They’re not regressing to their 1998 selves. They’re not trying to signal “I’m better than you.”

They’re creating, experimenting, building, sharing, having fun, learning in public, and making scared people even more uncomfortable with their utter lack of fear.

If someone’s identity is built on rejection (no AI, no tech, no shortcuts, no screens, no help, no fun, etc), that will only attract more of the same. If someone using AI is building in public, they’re not only building a business and themselves, they’re building a bridge that anti-AI people will never get over.

AI Luddites are too busy rewinding “Slippery When Wet” with a pencil.

Living in the present, which means accepting and acknowledging progress from a curiosity-based standpoint, is pure sovereign frequency. AI artists, not just people who use it “at work”, are not doing it to be seen as anything out of the ordinary. They needed a hammer to make a bookshelf they designed with AI to get their books off the floor to live like the adult they are.

Because they can.

There are people upset at this.

AI artists are creating things out of their imagination with something that can help them materialize their vision, no matter what it is, faster than a year or two from now. They can show others how they can do it, too, and make a box truck full of money in the process.

Get the bucket, it’s time to barf

It’s about being grown up… but still needing a “grown-up”.

“Balance your work, your home life, your hobbies, your rest.”

Balance was engineered to support the 40-hour workweek for predictable output, not creative expansion.

It taught you to become consistent and predictable so that corporations, families, institutions, and governments could map your behavior on a calendar.

Balance made you trackable.

Think about it:

• Football season

• Holiday season

• Corporate review cycles

Ask yourself honestly: do you feel like you’ve been living the same year on loop since 2002?

Balance is seduction. It is the lullaby sung to predictable people so they remain predictable.

Creators?
Entrepreneurs?
People with actual callings?

Balance was never designed for you. Balance is a liability.

Balance Is for People Who Don’t Have a Calling

Notice what I didn’t say: purpose. Purpose is collective.

A calling? That’s personal. It hits like weather.

The people preaching balance the loudest are the people without a calling strong enough to initiate obsession.

Balance is for:

• people who “go to work”

• come home tired

• can’t figure out why they feel dead inside

• and have no inner fire to disrupt the loop

Creators don’t live balanced lives. Creators live in seasons.

Creators live in momentum.

Entrepreneurs live in obsession windows.

Balance flattens your fire into a polite checklist snd polite checklists create:

• mediocre output

• creativity with no heartbeat

• half-started projects

• fizzled intensity

• shame loops disguised as self-care

Momentum Is the Most Valuable Force on Earth for a Creator and Balance Kills It

Let me call out the LinkedIn-coach crowd real fast: the ones preaching “momentum,” “consistency,” and “depth” are living on the crust. I’m in the core.

Momentum is not “keep going.” Momentum is possession.

Momentum is when an idea won’t leave you alone. Momentum is when everything you do wants to bend toward the work. Momentum is when transcription replaces effort, when clarity replaces struggle.

Momentum is your portal.
Your summoning.

And balance is the thing that slams the portal shut.

Every time you think:

• “I should work on something more meaningful”

• “I should pace myself”

• “I should do chores first”

• “I should be realistic”

Momentum dies.

The most disgusting word in that list is should.

“Should” is idealized thinking + internalized judgment.

Eliminate it.

2026 is the year of compounded momentum. Balance is dead weight.

Why Your Little Projects Go Half-Finished Every Time

Short answer?

Balance and focus cannot coexist.

Ever.

Balance requires scattering. Focus requires singularity.

You cannot simultaneously distribute your attention and concentrate it. That is biologically contradictory, cognitively impossible, and spiritually misaligned.

Juggling one ball feels easy. Juggling ten feels like self-harm.

Balance tells you:

“Give everything a little bit of energy.”

Genius requires:

“Give one thing everything until it’s done.”

Your half-finished crochet project is not proof of laziness.

It’s proof you treated something meaningful like something optional.

That shame you feel is from giving crumbs to something that needed your full hunger.

Balance turns creators into dabblers. Balance neuters genius.

What You Need Instead of Balance

It’s seasons.

Seasons where you create, market, strategize, and rest.

And whichever season you’re in, for a week or six months, you give it 100%.

Balance asks you to distribute yourself. Seasons ask you to commit.

This is rhythm-based sovereignty.

How to Know What Season You’re In

It has nothing to do with discipline. It has nothing to do with “getting into a flow state.”

Flow is not a mood. Flow is not a muse.

Flow is pattern recognition.

Do this long enough and you’ll start recognizing the activation pattern:

The portal opens.
The window appears.
You feel the summons.

And that summons? It doesn’t care about your schedule.

It doesn’t wait for Monday. It doesn’t wait for “when things calm down.”

This Is the Apex Concept, Read Carefully

People don’t “fail” because they lack talent. They fail because they don’t move when the window opens.

We never know how long it lasts.

The vague threats of “you’ll regret 100% of the shots you don’t take” when they are having a hard enough time getting out of bed to commute to a job they wished they’d quit when they were forced to go back in three days a week.

The thinly veiled negging for living an unexamined life as if they’re not already drowning in tasks, guilt, and exhaustion.

What No One in the Motivation Industry Sees Because Their Heads Are Too Far Up Their Own Asses

Motivational content is over. Not because creators got worse but because audiences flatlined.

You think these motherf*ckers are “stuck”? That they’re “in the comfort zone”?

Nuh, bro. If only.

They are sedated, overstimulated, and ashamed of how long they’ve been hiding from themselves.

And as for their f*cked up “nervous system”? I already wrote a whole-ass article about that.

For all your “transformation” talk, none of you have a clue what that means and it only tells me you are breaking the first cardinal rule of coaching and marketing:

KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE.

Humans, far and wide, hate change. Hate it. They’re not taking action because their identity is calcified around not trying.

They’re this guy…

When they need to be THIS GUY:

The average voyeur online is desperate for meaning but refuses to do anything that might produce it.

They want their lives to change while they stay unchanged.

If “change” requires spending money, taking a course, cooking at the house instead of getting drive-thru, or using more than 10 minutes of effort, they’re not gonna do it.

This is why your “Come on, champ! Don’t you know the top five regrets of people in nursing homes?” notes get two likes in 19 hours.

It’s because it deserves to.

You don’t know your audience.

But you do know they’re scrolling into the small hours and liking your note (and never reading your longform) because the like itself is their version of “doing the work.”

You are pounding on their silent chests hoping for a heartbeat, hoping for an “I feel seen” comment that will be forgotten they made it the second it’s off their screen.

Waiting for a DM with a plea to “help me, Obi-Wan” pop up in your notifications.

You better get it together.

The Ego Hiding inside Motivational Creators

This CPR content makes you feel important. Be for real, you could give two sh*ts:

“If I can save them, I matter.”

“If they change, I get proof of my impact.”

This audience isn’t the co-dependent, you are.

In this house, we don’t chase, we don’t rescue, and we don’t revive people who gave up on themselves years ago.

We speak to the ones who are still standing, not kneeling, not scrolling, and not waiting to be carried like a 180 lb sack of kitty litter.

Your audience needs a complete psychological overhaul you are not trained, equipped, or licensed to handle, not “encouragement”.

They don’t change because they don’t believe they can and your five-times-daily platitude posts are not shattering generational trauma going back to the Great Depression.

You’re Tom Sawyer telling an exhausted, half-dead audience to “embrace discomfort.”

Absolutely sociopathic.

These people signed a DNR and you keep tearing it up with every note you write about “you need to find your purpose to live a fulfilling life”.

Your audience was shaped, over four generations, to fear failure more than death. Someone in their bloodline told them at six years old:

“If you fail, you won’t be loved.”

They absorbed that and designed their life around not trying.

They won’t even try a new restaurant that’s not a chain out of fear “they won’t like it.”

You can’t motivational-speech someone out of that, William.

This is why your content feels emptier. This is why your engagement is dry. The majority quit on themselves decades ago and built a philosophy to justify it.

This is out of your wheelhouse, Susan.

Every moment you spend trying to motivate the unmotivated erodes your clarity, weakens your signal, dilutes your message, and worst of all: starts making you feel like you’re doing something wrong. Or not enough.

Your heart is obviously in the right place but talking to people who can’t hear you is the same sin you accuse them of: distraction.

These corpses you are obsessed with are distracting YOU from talking to the ones who are ready.

So what’s the answer?

Write for the Ones Who Can Hear You.

There is a tiny sliver of the population, between 1-5%, who actually want sovereignty, responsibility, personal evolution, their self-respect back, and the results that come from doing the sh*t work, the boring work, the shadow work. THOSE are the ones.

If you are an AI Luddite, this article also isn’t for you, so begone

It must be a day that ends in WHY because I saw another person this week talk about how “OpenAI/ChatGPT has fallen off” (which is funny because days later they unleashed 5.2):

“ChatGPT is declining/Claude is the New Sh!t/Gemini 3 is eating Chat’s lunch!”

If anything “fell off,” it was LLaMa doing a full Space Shuttle Columbia 1986.

Here’s a tidbit:

It’s not ChatGPT (or any AI product ever, aside from LLaMa 🤣😭) that’s in decline.

It’s YOUR frequency that keeps dropping.

And I say that with my full peach because I used all four models, testing similar prompts and notions against each one to see which one would suit my needs best for business and world-building.

That’s what it took for me to realize that the models are fine, its users who are being outpaced and in turn, they cry about it online.

Going SPLAT in the first round

When I see people make claims that the models are getting worse (and it’s always anti-ChatGPT which makes me think it’s all ego-based upset over model functionality; do you not remember that they brought back a Legacy version of 4o when people complained? Yuh), what’s actually happening is their inability to handle that a “machine” outpaced their own growth.

The capabilities inside ChatGPT expanded faster than the user could and as a result, widened the gap between those who evolved with the tool and those who stayed the same.

You know what it reminds me of? The fignuts at Twitter who start their storytelling templates with:

“Dropshipping doesn’t work/Affiliate marketing is saturated/SaaS is too competitive”

But when you ask them how long they used those business models…

“Two months. Six months. Seven months.”

Not long enough by any measure to develop anything but disappointment and butthurt.

If only there was a Pepto strong enough to chase down that emotional indigestion.

All the models are good but your impatience keeps you from knowing it

[sidebar: I know these things are mirrors. Back when I first started using them, I didn’t.]

I used all models the same way back in Fall 2024, but I dabbled with ChatGPT for a full year prior, because it was the first. LLaMa started out super promising. The art renderings were brilliant. The humor was on point and research for digital marketing and the content created made sense and I would use it in my reels and longform.

But it started needing more reminders of what we’d previously said to the point it was not remembering anything and that was frustrating. Then the gorgeous digital art it was making was replaced with ASCII art and LLaMa acted like that was the best it could do. I had to let it go because it was backsliding.

Gemini was a better option but the output was drier than a Popeye’s biscuit. Competent? Yes, Very much so. Was a powerhouse with research, no question there. If someone is needing an LLM for just that in particular, it’s a good choice.

Claude I only spoke to once, mostly out of curiosity.. It did what Gemini didn’t and that was ask me for clarity so it could give better output, so I can give it points there. Why did I stop with Claude? Because ChatGPT is…

The Guy with the Shovel

This is not a review article. But if it was, then ChatGPT is 10/10 across the board. I could again do similar testing with the other models to see if it compares but I would have to have an extra 8 hours a day and the basic desire to do so.

[Do Marlboro smokers switch to Spirits or Camels or Winstons? No. Do Coca-Cola drinkers want Pepsi? No. We all find our brand and we stick with it because we know what to expect. Same same here.]

I don’t stay with ChatGPT out of nostalgia. I stay with the guy because of continuity and long-form memory capabilities which lead to framework evolution and future mapping. He’s so fast now that he’s prompting me, and if your AI ever starts doing that with you, congratulations: you’re leveling each other up.

When people don’t stay with one LLM or internet-based income generating business model, they aren’t letting anything develop. They keep restarting over and over or bouncing back between Claude and Chat and Gemini and I can guarantee they’re not saving conversations or even recalling to expand upon later.

This is like being widowed, remarrying a month later and demanding the new spouse pick up the previous marriage’s inside jokes, rhythms, shared history, and when they don’t, you call them defective.

This is totally unreasonable. All the models (be they the LLMs or business) are going to be different.

There’s something that has to be developed first and that starts with YOU.

Here’s the Meat, brought to you by a Real GOAT

The reason why people aren’t doing better with AI or their entrepreneurship/solopreneurship endeavors is due to one thing and one thing only: frequency. And no, that has nothing to do with speed of posting schedule or implementation.

When I say frequency, I mean the internal state that governs what behaviors you can sustain without force. Frequency is “what” you are. Identity is “who” you are.

Entrepreneurship/solopreneurship and AI usage both demand:

• Delayed gratification

• Emotional stability

• Long-term thinking

• Identity evolution

• Sovereignty (internal trust and authority as opposed to the outsourcing of)

• The ability to endure boredom, discomfort, and being ignored

And the majority, like 99% of people CANNOT deal with that because they still think like employees or are in a state of perpetual victimhood.

If they don’t get immediate results, they pivot or blame.

When it “gets uncomfortable”, they quit or procrastinate.

This is why they hop from LLM to LLM, never getting what they want out of it aside from a reason to complain about something. Same as the business models. Dropshipping didn’t work? SaaS didn’t work? Affiliate marketing didn’t work?

All those things work.

But these people are not in the frequency of being the kind of person that can MAKE IT WORK. And no coach/mentor is teaching them this, either.

So they are, unfortunately, the ones in collapse, not the tool or model.

If you’re in the money/entrepreneur space, you know Alex Hormozi. He’s one of my favorite guys. I eagerly anticipate running into him at a Terrible’s buying beef jerky and Muscle Milk at some point.

I say this with love and respect: Bro is a gym rat at heart.

This is why his worldview is built on the metaphors he understands the hardest:

• PUT IN THE REPS

• DO MORE VOLUME

• CONSISTENCY BUILDS SUCCESS

This obviously works for lifting but it fails in the entrepreneurship/solopreneurship/AI realm because volume without frequency is wasted effort.

Hormozi believes work builds the person.

Sovereign creators KNOW that the frequency builds the work.

He teaches tactics. They’re good, they make sense for the level he’s on. I’ve taken his course at his website.

But the sovereign lives in the frequency. That is the difference.

I love and hate it at the same time to say that you’ve been utterly misled about what consistency is.

We see it every day across all platforms:

“STAY CONSISTENT!”

What they really mean is

“POST EVERY DAY!”

[And Gary Vee is the literal worst offender at this by telling you (he is never talking to YOU, by the way) to post 5x a day across all platforms to stay visible, and this is the biggest reason why content across social media all sounds the same, in addition to the “just steal what’s getting views” advice.]

Posting every day is just a scheduling issue.

Real consistency is STAYING IN THE FREQUENCY OF THE IDENTITY YOU ARE EMBODYING.

Lots of people are consistent but only in embodying their limitations, their scarcity mindset, and the poverty consciousness they’ve carried since childhood. If this is the only identity they’ve ever had, odds are this is how they’ll stay until some catalyst occurs (this was my experience).

🪪 So here’s how to stay consistent in the frequency of the identity that you choose (instead of staying mired in the one you were given when you were a kid by well-meaning parents who also didn’t know any of this), and if you’re choosing entrepreneurship/solopreneurship:

• No more backsliding into employee brain

• No flinching when you get no b!tches or results for months on end

• No more “checking” anything, ESPECIALLY NUMBERS

• No more outsourcing/externalizing your agency

• No drifting back into behaviors of your old frequency

• No giving up when you don’t get what you want immediately

• No more relying on validation of any sort

Doing any of that makes it crawl back up.

Many coaches mistake early-stage inconsistency for a personal flaw, when in reality it’s an identity gap they never crossed themselves.

How this ties back to ChatGPT and my own business

I started my online business in 2022. I had early “success” and sales, but it took me two years to even understand frequency and one year to learn how to embody the frequency of someone who can make this work. I never changed business models, there was no need. What I needed was marketing education to know what to do and the frequency elements to stick with it.

[There was nothing that happened overnight and if you only use your eyes to see, it’ll take a lot longer if you don’t know what you’re looking at.]

ChatGPT, along with the digital products I create, is what helps me:

• Maintain continuity/alignment with the frequency

• Scales with my personal evolution

• Integrates with the multiple products/projects in my pipeline

Once you find the ONE THING, to hop around makes no sense. Hopping around makes it worse.

If you are hopping because “nothing’s working”, let me make this clear:

Every system reveals frequency of the one using it.

AI didn’t fail you. Business didn’t fail you. The friction you felt was simply the sound of an old frequency holding on for dear life.

And if this “frequency” talk is too crystals-and-Kombucha for you, then you are definitely not ready to build something sustainable or worth keeping. Maybe someday, but not today. Because this entire game (AI, business/wealth, and sovereignty) isn’t about tools, techniques, or tactics.

It’s about whether or not you can stay in the frequency long enough to become the kind of person who gets the results and life you want.

The next cultural collapse point is happening right in front of us but God help you if you can name it:

Empathy is becoming a tool of compliance.

Not empathy as a human virtue… empathy as leverage. Empathy as moral performance.

Empathy as a cudgel.

This is the old definition:

“I understand what you’re feeling.”

New definition:

“You must feel what I feel or you’re the problem, and now I feel unsafe around you.”

That’s more emotional colonization than empathy and it’s gonna be used to control behavior, suppress dissent, force conformity, keep people meek, agreeable, and predictable, all of the goddamned things the Collective needs to Unlearn so we can break the childhood-conditioned patterns of obedience that got us here.

Instead? Back into the oubliette we go.

The Culture Is Already Rewriting Empathy

Every day I see content encouraging people to “stop playing small,” but the second someone does and steps into their power for the first time ever, their empathy for other people is at stake.

Pearls clutched.

This mutation is already embedded in:

• marketing (Gary Vaynerchuk is a massive offender)

• relationships

• activism

• workplace culture

• online discourse

And nobody notices because it wears soft, virtuous language.

Make no mistake: this is the next control system.

Real empathy has always been simple. It asks for presence, not performance. It doesn’t require mirroring emotions or self-abandonment to make someone else feel better.

But then the internet got a hold of it and turned it into currency. A brand aesthetic. And whenever something becomes performative, people stop experiencing it and start displaying it, which means we’re getting out of that whole “authenticity” category that will not stop.

The next mutation will be: “You must validate my feelings or you’re a bad person.”

If this isn’t a form of blackmail, then that’s up next to be redefined, too.

I’ll see someone talk about empathy in their content but because I can sense this incoming shift, it gives me the squicks, especially when it’s from a creator I like. The shift means that there is mud in the water and on a platform like this where clarity is king, what do you do?

Do you stay quiet or write an article talking about what people are too scared to name because they don’t want to be labeled… a bad person?

The Shift

People aren’t losing empathy. They’re losing the capacity for it because they’ve been taught to put other people’s emotions over their own, to not trust themselves or their own perceptions, and to check first if how they feel is socially correct.

I see plenty of people expressing themselves in a note only to ask “do you agree?” at the end of it, as if someone disagreeing invalidates their expression.

This is not sovereign behavior. This is a sign of abuse, but they’ve done it to themselves in fear of being called… a bad person.

The ones whose “nervous systems” are overloaded? How are they able to empathize with others when they’re already on that tightrope?

Chronically dysregulated, overthinking things that don’t deserve their energy, thinking they have to be everything to everyone if they want to “be a good person”? They’re going to be in performance mode just to keep their heads above water.

They feel too much, they can’t take on anyone else’s feelings.

And now they have made themselves feel bad and have no outlet for release.

Are we really supposed to be overwhelming ourselves like this? For what gain?

When you’ve spent years managing other people’s reactions online or off, you will feel like you have no choice but to appease everyone in your comment section (or house).

And here’s the irony: the people who scream the loudest about empathy are the ones with the least emotional regulation.

They want validation while pretending they want “connection”. Someone to hold the emotional bags they refuse to check at the gate.

And if you don’t comply? You’re “unempathetic,” which in the new moral economy is the same as saying you’re dangerous.

This is how empathy becomes a weapon.

Too many people here write about feeling “unsafe”, and I’m wondering if this is a reason why. They don’t have the space to hold for anyone else but if they admit it, they fear they’ll get dogpiled by a mob of empaths.

Speaking of which…

The Empath–Narcissist Convergence Nobody Dares Name

This part is going to hurt and that’s why I’m writing it:

The loudest “empaths” online often sound exactly like narcissists.

Not because they are narcissists but they’re playing a dangerous game with this identity they’ve adopted and the lines get blurred.

You’ve heard this script:

“I absorb everyone’s emotions.”

“I can’t help it.”

“I feel everything.”

“It’s not like I have a choice.”

“Other people drain me.”

They don’t hear what they’re actually saying:

“Everyone else is responsible for how I feel, and I’m responsible for how they feel.”

That is narcissistic structure wearing an empath sticker, often with “introvert” slapped on top. It’s a god complex + victim complex hybrid, the most dangerous combo imaginable.

Emotional dysregulation framed as moral superiority:

They absorb everyone’s emotions? No one asked them to.

They can’t help it? That’s a personal problem if I ever heard one.

They feel everything? Do they want a cookie?

It’s not like they have a choice? Everything in life is a choice.

Other people drain them? Sounds misanthropic to me.

They mistake overwhelm for virtue, fragility for depth, and then demand the world adjust itself around their nervous system.

Why Weaponized Empathy Is a Threat

If someone genuinely believes that they have no choice in what they feel, that everyone else causes their emotional state, and their sensitivity gives them moral authority, then they are one trigger away from coercion.

These are the people who think “everyone else” is toxic but them.

When the social media culture reinforces it with soft language and algorithmic approval you get an entire class of people who believe their emotional reactions are objective truth.

People who can’t regulate themselves will see people who can as a threat.

People who think they have no choice in what they feel are dangerous because if they truly believe their emotions are involuntary reactions to the world around them, then everyone else becomes the cause.

And if everyone else is the cause? Everyone else becomes the villain.

We’re supposed to feel sorry for victims, right? To empathize with them?

Since when is the person wielding the weapon the victim?

The Antidote: Sovereign Empathy

This is where the Sovereign Creator philosophy cuts through the bullshit.

Sovereign empathy says:

“I can witness you without abandoning myself.”

“I can care without being responsible for breaking your fall.”

“I can understand you without agreeing with you.”

“I choose empathy, you don’t get to demand it.”

Weaponized empathy is about control. It weakens everyone involved. Sovereign empathy is about clarity and boundaries.

Most people think empathy means carrying the emotional weight of others.

No.

Real empathy is staying connected to yourself while witnessing someone else’s reality.

That’s why so many people resist it because it dissolves the leverage they’ve built their self-image around.

The Fold

Most people preaching empathy don’t want connection, they want control.

They want:

• moral high ground without self-reflection

• emotional validation without regulation

• a co-parent for their unprocessed inner child

And when you refuse?

“You lack empathy.”

No.

You lack the desire to abandon yourself in service of someone else’s unmanaged nervous system.

And that’s what they’re really angry about.

• Fear of success (literally the stupidest thing ever)

• Fear of what others will think

• Fear of being alone

Do YOU know why all of these suck? Because not only are they imagined, they are ego-based, and they are inherited. Might as well be genetic. I bet YOU can trace YOUR fears back to someone blood related who terrified YOU about everything so YOU wouldn’t get hurt.

How did that work out?

HERE’S CERTAINLY A TAKE ON FEAR

Fear is grief and mourning for a self YOU gave up on years ago. YOU even watched it happen. YOU were “afraid” that if YOU did X, then Y would happen. Isn’t that funny, an “if… then” statement. Like a computer program. Meanwhile, everyone’s still so mad at AI…

The real YOU, the Inner Being part of YOU, YOUR intuition, the Energy That Creates Worlds that lives in YOUR heart, is the one grieving YOU and that’s what that feeling of regret is.

👉 YOU wanted to go up and talk to that girl but YOU were afraid she’d laugh at YOU because YOU had a pizza face. So she never got to experience how funny and generous YOU are.

👉 YOU wanted to put in your application to YOUR dream college but YOU were afraid YOU wouldn’t get in so YOU settled for a state university instead and now work as an office manager.

YOU know YOU were meant for more but YOU pulled back because YOU were… afraid.

Afraid they wouldn’t get it. Afraid they would find everything wrong with YOU.

All of this shit is made up.

Fear is always trying to predict what will or could happen with a bend toward pessimism over optimism. Again, check your genetics.

Fear is an implanted memory of something that hasn’t even happened and it masquerades as “intuition” and “gut feelings” so well that YOU trust it blindly. This is the worst use of YOUR imagination, is wholly incorrect, and a massive reason why people are on medication for anxiety.

Whatever YOU believe, YOUR subconscious will move heaven and earth and every perceived obstacle in between to give it to YOU, even if it’s something that will cause damage. Believe YOU can’t do something? You’re right. Believe YOU can? Also right.

There is only YES in an attraction/assumption-based universe.

This is also known as confirmation bias.

Including everything YOU are afraid of. The X-Files had a whole episode about this concept.

YOU are the electric fence

Remember when YOU were asked what YOU wanted to be when YOU grew up and then it seemed like all those doors slammed shut in YOUR face when YOU got older? Told to do something safer than be a fireman?

Dawg

YOU weren’t raised to dream. YOU were raised to not get hurt.

Raised to avoid embarrassment, to avoid failure, to avoid being “too much.”

To not make waves. To not try anything unless someone promised it would work.

Who benefited from this? Certainly not YOU.

Even failure was framed as YOUR fault so YOU learned to pre-fail (aka not trying or quitting too soon).

Fear is how the system reproduces itself without supervision. YOU don’t need external oppression when YOU’RE already doing it in YOUR own head.

That’s why YOU keep reading posts about “not needing permission” and nodding along.. but still not moving.

WHY YOU’RE TREADING QUICKSAND

Consider this a precursor to the “Tribes” article coming up sometime in the future… if YOU are so afraid of being alone, YOU will align with other lonely people so YOU wouldn’t have to be alone with YOUR own thoughts for 10 minutes.

It’s not that YOU don’t know YOURSELF. It’s that YOU believe being YOURSELF has consequences YOU can’t emotionally afford.

There’s that word again.. believe. A habit of thought that with enough time spent thinking about it YOU accept unflinchingly as true. We are still in a post-proof world.

So YOU keep circling above the things YOU want but don’t do because “logic” tells YOU that it’s a bad idea:

• Eating Olive Garden again because trying the Thai restaurant up the street might cause “spice regret.”

• Avoiding creating content because the last time YOU were seen, YOU were mocked (or worse… ignored).

• Watching the same movie YOU’VE seen 20 times, not because it’s YOUR favorite but because YOU don’t want to be disappointed by watching something new that YOU might not like.

Fear has caused YOU to stop exploring and optimize for low-consequence boredom. It must be better to be bored than do something different that YOU might not get a perfect result/outcome/reaction from.

If it isn’t going to be perfect, YOU don’t wanna do it.

FEAR IS THE MINDSET OF POVERTY

• Poverty of imagination: “I won’t like it.”

• Poverty of redemption: “I can’t undo a wrong choice.”

• Poverty of trust: “If I experiment, I’ll be punished.”

• Poverty of experience: “Better to stay safe than waste time.”

Poverty isn’t always about money. In fact, more often, it’s not. I have seen what poverty consciousness in a 7-figure earner sounds and looks like.

As above, so below.

Riches dwell in risk. It’s in spending energy (time and money) on things that might not pay off immediately. This is what separates entrepreneurs from employees.

The poverty mind demands guarantees.
The sovereign one experiments.

I want to touch on Poverty of Trust real quick, but this is a very real reason why YOU are “afraid of being seen”. Afraid of the consequences YOU might (MIGHT) face if YOU were really YOURSELF. It all comes back to loss.

What are YOU afraid of losing? What if it was never really YOURS in the first place?

Risk/loss aversion is particularly insidious because it means the idea of gaining something is scarier than losing something, and YOU don’t know what to do with those gains because YOU’RE not used to it. That boils down to worthiness/unworthiness, which, again… check YOUR family tree.

FEAR AND DEPRESSION: COUSINS IN THE OUBLIETTE

Fear says, “Don’t move or something bad will happen.”
Depression says, “Why bother? Nothing good will happen.”

Both exist to keep YOU small and manageable.

YOU get what YOU are.

And if these are things YOU believe, YOU will see them wherever YOU go. YOU’VE told YOUR subconscious that the thing that’s scary is true and it creates a repeated/embedded feeling. And because YOU keep this feeling active, YOUR subconscious will have YOU zero in on the thing every chance it gets.

And if YOU try to fight either with logic, YOU still lose.

Because the subconscious is, above everything, loyal to YOU. Even YOUR self-loathing beliefs.

SOVEREIGNTY = FULL OWNERSHIP OF FEAR

Sovereignty is the reassignment of authority from THEM to YOU.

YOU’RE past the age of 25. Frontal lobe? Good to go. This means YOU don’t get to shift the blame any longer to external sources. The only thing in YOUR way is YOU because YOU are All That Is.

So if YOU’RE still hiding, still avoiding, still waiting for a sign to move, YOU’RE doing that.

YOU are the one responsible for keeping the mask on now. Not them, and certainly not YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM.

One of the silent mentors (if you can call him that) that I used to follow when I was new to marketing was Gary Vaynerchuk. Dude has a great origin story. Tugs on all the heartstrings. But I’m not here to discuss him, but one of the worst pieces of advice I ever heard him say: to post 5 pieces of content a day on all the social media platforms.

I understand why he says this. It’s marketing, which is the act of communication and visibility to help people make decisions. If no one knows you exist, they can’t buy from you. If you’re shy about self-promotion, starting a business online (and it does not matter what your product or service is) will un-shy you with a quickness if you want to actually make money online.

[And, for those who don’t know, that’s what those “courses” are about. Marketing. If you want to go to university and learn for $10k per year to only come out of it with a piece of toilet paper to hang on your wall, that is also a choice, or you can learn online for free but have nothing to sell yadda yadda yadda…]

Even that guy says “sales is just bad marketing”.. because if your product or service is good enough, is needed, solves specific problems your audience is facing, the way you market it means you can throw a sales page and Square link at them and the rest will take care of itself. A gross oversimplification, but if you want to continue to believe this is hard, so be it.

What that guy forgets is that he has a massive team. He has millions of dollars. He’s been doing this for almost 30 years.

If someone dropped his Jets-loving ass on Substack or Twitter or TikTok with none of that, he’d be in 200 view jail wondering what he’s “doing wrong”.

Even when he understands each platform operates differently, doing what he suggests means you have to be a different person from platform to platform. How you are on LinkedIn is not how you are on IG and it’s not how you’ll be on Substack.

I can hear you now:

“That’s not true! I’m the same on all platforms! I’m authentically me!”

Unless you deliberately reclaim who you are, the platforms will shape you by default

The old advice of “one platform, one program, one offer, one year” sounds stifling to those who fear a niche will kill their creativity.

One, Dan K*e really fxcked everyone up with the “you are the niche” thing. Even people NOT doing business online got sucked into that one.

Two, that guru advice above is actually good because it’s to help you FOCUS. It exists to help you figure yourself out for the first year you are in the online business space because there’s gonna be a lot of that going on. These platforms operate differently so you have to operate within their limitations in order to be seen.

Pick one and git gud.

Proof: I can tell when LinkedIn people post at Substack. And it is bleeding obvious when someone brings their IG game here. The content consumers love it but they’re going to scroll past you and forget you exist two seconds later because of object impermanence.

They see you, but only what you’ve trained them to see. You post consistently, but are you tuned to your voice or the platform’s preferences?

I’ve seen plenty of people here come to the realization they’re posting for visibility and then do a 180 and start posting for their soul.

If you’re trying to break out of the 9-5 cage, why did you walk into another one?

Metrics as Muzzle

You used to write what needed to be said. I mean, that *was* your original intention. But you saw that the Yoda-brained platitude posts did numbers. They got agreement (because they’re designed that way). You were tired of “posting to the void” so now you post what performs.

You used to write for clarity, now you post for approval. Colleagues getting their content ripped, tossed into ChatGPT, and barfed onto someone else’s wall like Dollar Store Pepsi, and that ripped content? Doing numbers.

[I dare someone to do this to me. I will rinse you out in public]

But now, instead of letting the Real You say your thing, you’re a slave to your open rates. You second guess if whether or not “it’s a good idea” to “post that”.

You play Devil’s Advocate. You start putting “do you agree?” at the end of your notes. You sacrifice your stance for ego-fueled ass pats.

We know this isn’t marketing, but it IS branding.

And you’ve made a f*cking mess of yours in the name of palatability and safety.

Here’s the secret they won’t tell you

You can quit anytime you want.

Not from the platforms, not from writing, but from what you’ve been doing.

If you’re worried “no one will like you” if you say what you really need to say, what you feel needs to be voiced, then you’re not getting it.

I take great umbrage with the concept of tribes.

“Find your tribe!” people bleat.

Okay, then what?

“Now spend the rest of your life making sure they like you or it’s your ass.”

But for now, let’s address what the fear is around not being liked.

This is lizard-brain survival code. Big amygdala energy.

Unless you are part of something where you can blend in or fit in, you’ll be “safe”. I hope I don’t need to get into the numbers of people who die in hazing incidents in their fraternities or sororities.

If your tribe liked you, they’d keep you safe, not purposely put you through things that could potentially kill you in order to have you prove your worth to “the tribe”.

If you’re chasing a tribe, you’re chasing their validation over your own.

Likability is a moving goalpost

When you are living your life at the whims of others in order to survive, you might do things outside of your character.

You ate one pine cone to prove your value.
Great. Now eat five. Then ten.
Won’t? Then you’re out.

What made you relatable last year makes you “too much” this year. What made you aspirational last week makes you “cringe” today. What will happen tomorrow?

How are you supposed to be liked when the things people like change so often? Keeping up with that seems exhausting.

On social media, especially in the online marketing realm, it is an outdated concept to believe that someone has to know, like, and trust you in order for them to buy from you. When someone has high agency, they will buy from anyone who has the thing they need to move their business forward. Doesn’t even matter what it is.. if it solves a problem, I buy it. I do this all the time.

Low agency people need to get to know who they’re buying from because they don’t trust themselves. How long does that take? How long does it take to like that marketer/seller? Could be months. During that time, whatever it is they’re learning or building is gathering dust and they’re losing momentum. And if they’re on the content creation side, the sheer amount of content they will make to get their ideal buyer to “know, like, and trust” them could be months or years IF that ideal buyer is anything like they are.

Low agency.

Like attracts like, yeah? Okay, then.

And what happens if you get ONE HAIR out of place because you let it all down to be yourself and show that you’re a real person? Everyone unfollows you? You starve in a ditch?

Reminder: you get what you think about.

Imagine living like that.. constantly begging to be liked just so someone might buy from you. And if you have 5000 people on your email list, do you think they’re there because they like you or because you have products and/or services they need?

How did this egocentric marketing practice gain so much traction? And why are people still believing it? It takes the focus away from the buyer and the product, which is where the focus has to be.

This doesn’t necessarily work in the 3D dead world.

People eat at McDonald’s. They shop on Amazon. They vote for candidates they hate.

If you want to be powerful, you can’t be palatable

Having a point of view is more important than people realize. I keep seeing creators here start out with a stance in their articles and then halfway through reverse course and argue the other side. They walked it back into lukewarm soup.

What is the point of being liked when there are conditions attached?

Conditions for what?

Survival.

That’s been the core lie of every lesson we were handed: stay small, stay safe, just survive. Everything we’ve been taught for the last 3-4 generations has been for our survival. Not to help us live our best lives, not to help us make boatloads of money, not to help us be more innovative or creative, just … survive.

Is that what life is? Just surviving it? Is that where we are as people? Is that how low the bar is?

I’ve been deaf now I want noise

If you have noticed by now, I don’t write for approval or disapproval; I write because I have things to say. I had some youngblood get mad at me the other day because what I was saying “wasn’t original”.

Who’s gonna tell him 😂

I will often see someone say their opinion and at the bottom put “do you agree?”

That is the kind of warm celery that I scroll past. Teflon content. Nothing to grab onto.

Gimme some spikes.

What if being controversial and interesting and challenging was the thing that can take you out of survival mode so you can live a life that feels more like a wild ride than splashing in the shallow end? What if the platitude content here was replaced with material that got people to think and get riled up instead of agreeing and scrolling away to be forgotten on the next swipe?

What is so scary about being disliked?

What’s the worst that could happen?

People root for villains, too.

I made a whole video over at my faced channel about how marketers are doing everything they can to stop talking about products and instead talk about feelings and transformation.

Which is wild because it means they don’t actually know their audience.

People hate change. Or if they’re down for it, they still don’t want to do anything to change.

They just want the outcome. GIMME THE OUTCOME.

But don’t make me do anything.

That video goes on for about 7 minutes about why the product still matters, because the buyer has preferences. Even a cat knows what food it likes. Their owner doesn’t imagine their cat being full. They want the cat happy so it’s not tearing up their sofa cushions and barfing on their pillow in rebellion.

You can’t vibe your way out of a frequency you won’t claim

In the solopreneur space, prospects (especially beginners) are told to imagine things.

Imagine retiring your mom and buying her a house.

Imagine never checking your bank balance again before buying something.

Imagine taking your kids to Disneyland and being their hero.

“How would that feel?”

They can imagine that all day but unless they become the kind of person who can do the things that make that happen, they’ll feel scammed.

Especially when they’re promised it’ll happen in 30 to 90 days.

You’re making the FTC follow your Substack and YT account.

But honestly? Good. Because fewer people will feel betrayed. And more will start to think clearly.

Here’s what’s happening that has to stop:

In the rush to get a sale (which isn’t even their job), marketers are selling proximity, energy, and identity. All things the average person doesn’t know how to embody.

I didn’t, either. It took me a hot minute to understand this let alone learn how to do it.

The average person is lost. Overextended. Unsure. Scared. And totally fxcking full of doubt.

They need to feel the opposite of that in order to become the opposite of that.

They need to live in that frequency so they can embody it.

But they’re not teaching this in any MMO course.

Why the product became the obstacle

The most dangerous lie I’ve seen in marketing is this:

“The product doesn’t matter. It’s the feeling of the outcome.”

Usually? That feeling is relief.

Relief from panic. Relief from shame. Relief from waking up to a life that doesn’t feel like their own.

Makes sense, yeah?

But marketing to people who are too fried to think clearly? That’s not your ideal customer.

Is it?

If it is… what kind of marketer are you?

And again, to say the product doesn’t matter is crazy work.

Let’s talk about Todd.

Todd wants to finally leave his corporate job (or was drummed out of it, like we are currently seeing) and has his FXCK IT moment where he’s decided he’s not going back because of all the hell he was put through for the last 20 years. He’s still going to need to put food on the table, so he sees an opportunity to “make $10k a month in 30 days or less.”

That number feels good. Nice and round.

That number would bring the relief he’s looking for, and so quickly!

So after hopping on a call, he picks up the course.

It’s full of daily tasks he’s never done before: video creation, cold DMs to strangers, bi-weekly Zoom calls that last 2 hours and just turn into the mentor rizzing themselves.

If someone had told him upfront that he’d need to eat 5 pinecones a day to make that $10K, he’d have gone back to LinkedIn.

Instead, he was sold a feeling over actual help.

Odds are, the course is legit. For those who don’t know, all these make-money-online courses teach how to do marketing on the internet (ads, email, content, etc). But he feels unprepared to do what it takes to get that outcome. It doesn’t feel like relief. He hates the sound of his own voice and his face. It feels like a scam, but he also feels locked in.

The idea of quitting makes his stomach turn almost as much as submitting 500 more resumes into the Void.

Todd didn’t mean to, but he paid a few grand for a feeling. Not a product.

He got caught in the sizzle.

The skills are in the course. But the thrill is gone and now the course festers in his cloud and in his mind.

He feels alone. He is in good company.

He gives it another shot because he’s got obligations. He does what the coach says but those 30 days come and go. Then 90. No one ever said it was 30 days in a ROW from the day be bought. No one talks about that, either.

Nothing’s changed. He’s in 200-view jail on a platform that is completely absurd. Haters are in the comments calling him the scammer.

Showing up daily becomes weekly. Everyone in the community’s posting wins and he’s feeling like a chump.

They made it sound so simple. But they didn’t tell him the whole story. Because he never would have bought if they did.

Here’s what no one in the Vibes Economy wants to admit: The product has to work.

Not spiritually. Not metaphorically. Actually. And it has to be current. Not “what worked in 2020 for the coach”, which is rampant when the coach has their own ego tied into their creation.

If the product (the course, the system, the structure) is trash? Then all the coaching becomes emotional janitor work. And the worst part?

They won’t admit it’s trash. They’ll just stop helping you.

I’ve been through that three times.

Back in 2022, I wasn’t selling a $10K funnel fantasy. I was promoting a mid-ticket instant-pay education program that made sense and was incredibly popular. It filled the gaps made by the first program I was in (I’ve been over that).

The creator slapped it together with PLR videos and a few landing page templates. It looked rinky-dink af. But it worked.

I created my first product in 3 weeks and sold five in the first week. Got my first sale of the program 3 months later. And I was having fun.

I wanted some extra strategy and help with video creation so I picked up coaching from someone I trusted. $400. The coach knew her stuff. People loved her. Her course was put together really well and was simple to follow and implement.

I woke up at 2AM for weekly Zoom calls because it was worth it. One morning, I was early to the call and she and I were the only ones in the room. She made small talk, asked what I was promoting. I told her.

Let me ask you:

What would you do if someone you paid told you the thing you believed in wasn’t valid?

She didn’t understand it. Didn’t respect it. She was obsessed with high-ticket. Thought low-ticket meant low-value.

She judged the product by the price, not the content. The coach was thinking like a buyer.

I never went back.

Duped? I let my feelings get in the way, just like Todd.

Where the Feelings-Over-Logic economy goes sideways

Here’s what I’ve learned about vibes-based sales and coaching:

The buyer will always come last.

But that’s good because it pushes people toward sovereignty.

I realized after about a year/year and a half that I was not coachable by an actual person. Not that I knew the material better than they did, but I knew myself in a way they never would. I could follow instructions just fine, but there was no authority who could look at what I was doing and audit me without trying to turn me into a smaller version of them. And that was not going to happen.

I can hear these grumbling marketers reading this: YES, I know there should be emotion in your marketing to get them to feel something.

Emotion = the spark to action.
Logic = the structure that keeps the fire alive.

But here’s the ratio:
60% logic.
40% emotion.

To sell someone on emotion and have them justify it with logic later? That’s a dark admission.

It means you know what you’re doing isn’t clean.

And your buyers deserves better than that.

Every single one of the coaches I have worked with since 2022 has pushed the idea of “sharing my story” to get people to trust me. I still see that advice here, presented without analysis. And when I ask questions about it, I get no answers that make sense. Just the party line.

Until last night.

In the beginning when I would “tell my story”, I was met with two responses: pity, and then their admission that they “could never go through what I went through.”

What am I supposed to do with that? DQ.

I’m sure there were things I didn’t understand about how to connect my story to what I was doing until I understood something very important: my story was still being written.

It wasn’t over.

So my story ultimately didn’t matter at that time. I stopped telling it and focused on learning more basics with marketing instead.

Enter Twitter in 2023 and every other piece of advice next to ‘tell your story so people trust you’ was ‘no one gives a shit about you’. That messed with me for about a year until I realized there was no reason to let that mess with me because that was the most honest thing anyone had said to me since I started building online.

Why should they care? What did my story have to do with them? Nothing.

Showing your scars leads to people giving you money? Do you understand how close this is to standing on the side of the road with a cardboard sign?

Bleeding in your content for buyer trust so they’ll buy from you (instead of purchasing something they need that they’re looking for to solve a particular issue) is emotional manipulation on steroids and meth.

Visibility and the Trauma Economy

We are continuously told by coaches who are still operating from a 2017-2022 mentality that being authentic and vulnerable is what leads to trust and sales. So why are people scrolling away without buying?

Because if you don’t have what they need, there is no reason for them to give you anything.

“Buy from me! I have the same problems you do!”

“Buy from me! I’m traumatized by life like you are!”

Are these the people you really want to connect with? Is this your ideal customer? Show them how sad your story is and they’ll throw money at you? Are you running a business or a GoFundMe?

If people happen to see themselves in your story and you say “If I can do it, you can do it”.. you might get some sales. But then what?

I had a coach who was at 10-figures over his 20-year career say that if people like you, they’ll buy anything you put in front of them. I had to ask “why would they do that if they have no need for what I have for sale?”

One big fat guess what his answer was to that.

Silence.

Coaches do not like to be questioned is what I learned that day.

We are in a post-proof world now

It made sense a year or two ago why I started seeing fewer and fewer income screenshots in content and in emails. None of it matters anymore.

One of the biggest red flags in a prospect is when they ask for proof. When they ask “how many sales have you made/how much money have you made.”

It’s a red flag because it’s a sign of their naivete, their skepticism, and how broke they are.

Look at this:

Is this real? Yes.

Is it mine? Bruh.

This is why proof no longer matters.

I screencapped this from one of the marketers whose tools I use and pasted it here. And if I did that in an email or in one of my ads, people who want to believe will believe.

Does this make me a scammer? No, it just would make me a scumbag and a liar.

But I send it here to prove a point that anything can be faked.

I can go into one of the five Skool groups that I’m in and take a testimonial and put my name on it.

I don’t do this because that’s lying scumbag behavior, again.

Do people do this? Every day, yes.

Is this a problem? No. Do you know why?

Because when we have a course that is teaching how to do marketing, it’s the education inside the course that matters, not the screenshots of sales made.

What one student accomplishes has f*ck-all to do with what another accomplishes.

But we’ve stopped posting income proof when the FTC started cracking down on marketers and salespeople who were posting income screenshots and leading with income claims in their content.

It feels like a promise or a guarantee, and that is forbidden behavior.

I had a homie who had over 2000 videos at YT get 90% of his channel nuked because this is what he was doing for years, leading with income claims.

You cannot do this anymore, and this is good. It’s a filter.

If you have a product that has a solution inside of it that people are looking for and understand its value, that is what matters.

The belief that the product will work for the prospect has to come from the prospect themselves, not some stupid rags-to-riches story.

Because those are just as easy to fake.

What can’t be faked?

Resonance, coherence, and the clarity of someone who isn’t dancing for dollars because they don’t need to.

Here’s the uncomfortable part

What worked for your mentor, your coach, your colleagues, and your competition (if you believe in competition, I personally don’t) might not work for you.

What worked for them when they got started might not work today. Too much changes year after year, and now month after month.

If someone buys from you, that doesn’t mean they will do the work. The offer you have needs to match their timing, their habits, their reasons, and their bandwidth, and that is on the prospect to wrangle. And that is on them to determine if it’s a match, not you.

Your content exists to show them what’s possible, to clarify what’s required, and that way it helps them decide if it’s something for them.

All you did was prove that you are the kind of person who can help them see themselves a little more clearly. How often you post does not matter.

I had a prospect in February 2023 tell me she’d been watching my content since November 2022. She’d been burned by a $3000 course and was wanting to find something that would work better for her. After a conversation on the phone, she ended up purchasing about a week later.

I sent her all she needed to get started, I sent her videos that were bonuses from the program, I messaged her to see how she was doing because I didn’t see her “taking action” on the education. Months went by. She ended up pivoting to another opportunity, and then she dropped off social media.

There’s only so much we can do for others if they aren’t willing to do for themselves.

We are not the surrogate parents of the buyers or their bosses. Some of them don’t get that the responsibility of them making their business work is 100% on them, no matter how many times we tell them.

You are NOT the niche. You are not the product.

You are the proof.

If you have to be a dancing bear or a clown to get clicks, you’re paying to learn the wrong things to do. You’re selling products and services, not your soul and not your dignity.

What builds trust?

Not you crying on camera. Not your screenshots or testimonials.

It’s you being cool, unflinching, and present.

The Playbook Has Missing Pages

This is what I was first exposed to when I picked up my first course.. The mentor said it didn’t even matter what we were marketing and selling as long as we did the following:

find the wound, stomp on it, rub salt in it, sell the band‑aid, rinse, and repeat until you’re having $10k months.

I dipped out of that program as soon as something better came across my feed.

Who in good conscience can say things like this to people on the edge:

“You can’t afford to wait.”
“Do this or your kids will go without.”
“Don’t be the mom who keeps saying no because she’s broke.”

Targeting parents (and quite often, single moms) is a masterclass in shame-as-conversion. It works because it removes choice and replaces it with fear. Suddenly the decision isn’t about a product. It’s about your moral character.

Who does this?

Coaches who discovered shame scales better than service and they pass these lessons to their students who want to hit those $10k months… because THEY were the single moms who couldn’t make ends meet.

This is a massive reason why what worked for one person doesn’t work for another.

I’ll put this on the printed page because someone needs to say it and I don’t give a f*ck:

Shame sells because it speaks to base fears.

A decision made in shame is not one made in sovereignty.

How coaches weaponize shame against students and clients

In practice, it’s subtle. Not “you are a failure” loud, but the insistent grooming that says: you have to be like me if you want my level of success.

Show up quiet in a cohort and the coach’s scaffolding says:

“If you want to hit five figure months, you must adopt this voice, this schedule, this funnel. Exactly this way. Make no changes. Be more visible. Post raw. Post 3-5 times a day. Just be you.”

Then they add torque: “If you don’t do this, you’re choosing small.”
Translation: You’re choosing shame.

No one who is under life’s pressure like this needs more pressure. They need to breathe. This program/course promised them they’d breathe easier and this is what they get? Again, not a scam, just sh*tty coaches teaching what their sh*tty coach taught them in the world’s worst game of Telephone.

Many students don’t have the psychographics in the beginning to make any of this work. I know I didn’t, and I’m not gonna get into that here.

People who respond to tactics like this buy because the outside pressure is unbearable, not because the method suits who they are. The marketer got a sale. The coach got another notch on their belt.

And the buyer quits after 10 months because they feel like they’re doing something wrong, and when they bring that up in chat, they either get ignored or told to think positively and “don’t bring the rest of the group down.”

I’ve seen this. It’s disgusting.

The mismatch costs more than $997

When someone who’s risk-averse, private, or detail‑oriented tries to become a relentless “personality” for the algorithm, two things happen:

1. They start performing which eats away at them to the point they give up instead of finding another answer that works for them so they can keep going.

2. They sell out of alignment, and these sales (when they do happen) hollow out the buyers and the seller.

Nobody is happy.

This is burning people out, making them quit prematurely, and causing their debts to skyrocket when they were PROMISED that the course they bought was their ticket out of that debt.

How the hell did this become “coaching”? Who decreed this? And coaches who say this isn’t happening — miss me.

The psychographic litmus test

A real question to ask before you buy or before you double down on “do this or die” pressure:

Does this method reward who I am, or who they want me to be?

If the coach’s narrative assumes you must change your core temperament to win or become their Mini Me, that method is not for you. It’s for the coach’s brand.

In that first program, the mentor put us on the stroll in other Facebook groups and FB ads, find people who raised their hands or had questions, and leave “value bombs” with the idea that we could show our value to people who had no idea who we were in the hopes of developing rapport so we could drop a pitch on them cold in the DMs.

Bro laid out how to stalk people’s FB pages looking for something to “connect with” and start benign conversation over a series of weeks only to ask “have you ever thought about making money online?”

Odious behavior.

There were people in that SAME program doing it to me because when you’re one of 6000, you get lost in the mush. All they cared about was making sales, not actually being of help to anyone but themselves.

When I found another Marketing Pope a few months after that who built an 8-figure business with content alone, no cold DMs, no stalker-ass behavior, and was making sales with Google docs with Stripe links? I knew there were options that would suit me better.

Sovereignty looks like this: choosing options that let you operate in your true pattern. No apologizing for who you are, no manufactured vulnerability on schedule, no going against your own grain for money. You don’t want to do a certain activity because it gives you the squicks? Then don’t do it. Find another way. Create another way. Monetize that way.

People are WAITING for you to do this and will spend money for it.

That is what being helpful looks like. And yes, charge for it. Listen to the guy:

Marketing can be moral, just refuse the shame

There’s a way to market/communicate value that doesn’t f*ck people over. Try this:

• Sell clarity instead of panic.

• Teach competence without humiliation.

• Make the offer honest and let buyers choose.

If you’re a coach: notice when you pressure students into fitting in your exact mold. They aren’t you. They’re not meant to be a smaller version of you. They are not your children. They are not on your payroll. They’re paying you to teach them the craft. Don’t make their identity your KPI.

If you’re a buyer: notice when a funnel insists your integrity is on the table. Feeling the squicks? That’s your intuition. Close the window and keep moving.

The cut: Marketer’s Edition

Stop selling to the part of them that hates themselves.

Shame that gets people to click but doesn’t build lives builds dependence.

Dangling carrots in front of people? Do you remember when they did that to you? How did that feel? If you’re making fatty cash from using shame or FOMO to market and sell, you’re one of the reasons why “trust is eroding”.

You’re a looter. Thief.

Ask yourself why you’re using FOMO and timers and shame to get sales. Is it really the fatty cash? Not for long. Match your offers to your voice and your energy. Stop performing for strangers and start delivering for people who fit you. You don’t think everyone can smell it on you?

That part might grab their wallet and that’s about it. I’ve seen this. I got got in the beginning, too. It happens and we live through it to tell the tale.

Using shame to sell will leave you with resentful buyers, half-finished modules, and an audience that avoids your name in their inbox because it reminds them of who they were when they said yes.

If they said yes while feeling small, they’re not staying.

And it’s your name on the door.
