I always tell people how eclipses invite us to tug on the threads of time and this one is doing so damn loudly. my mom texted me that photo yesterday, and initially I didn’t even realize that on the day of the 20-degree leo solar eclipse, she sent me a picture of us under an 18-degree leo solar eclipse.

it would have been my first inverse nodal return and living in a foreign country, I was strongly steeped in just how different I was. and when we moved back to utah the following year, I was steeped in an even stronger brew of just how different I was.

i’m feeling so tender reaching into the flat circle of time and connecting with my 9-year-old self and her navigation of the leo-aquarius nodal axis. I want to tell her how cool and fabulous and FUN it is to be weird and different and YOU. and all she wants is a place to belong.

that 9-year old had very recently learned she was a pisces sun, and this new language around my sweet sensitivity unlocked an itch that i’ve been trying to scratch ever since. this photo was taken in the year i learned what astrology was.

something that adult astrologer me is incredibly awe-struck by.

i’m screaming for the here-now into the then-there “you wouldn’t believe it, but we are an astrologer and we help people love all their pieces through the lens of astrology, just like your cool-ass mallorcan baby-sitter did for you by telling your mom you were a pisces!”

it’s quite profound, really, that the leo-aqaurius axis is who delivered me the gift of astrology. (aquarius is a sign correlated to astrology, after all. so really, no surprise.)

that alone is enough of a thread to pull on.

but what i’m also interested in excavating is this polarity's nagging themes of belonging and identity.

the desire to belong, the truth of knowing you are different. and how fucking hard society makes it for us to integrate the polarity. the hunger to be both centered and decentered. the thirst to be so completely saturated by this human experience and the simultaneous need to be so completely aware of just how weird and uncomfortable said experience is.

as I sit currently inching toward my nodal return, with the north node exactly on my moon at this time, I feel a new desire to be so fucking ME (read: so fucking WEIRD) emerging. and it has me pondering how 9-year-old and 18-year-old and 27-year-old me felt about this emergence, what we did with that feeling.

it’s sooo awkward to want to inhabit a new version of yourself when you are young, and so liberating to me at this turn.

i’ve never given less fucks about what other people think. as i’ve been saying, kinda chic to have haters.

i’ve been listening to charli xcx’s existential masterpiece music, fashion, film on repeat. this album really embodies charli’s lived experience of this axis, having her leo sun oppose her aquarius saturn, imho. and JFC it’s existential AF.

I don’t know that we give enough weight to the way leo + aqaurius bat back and forth the big questions of who we are and why we are here and what happens when decide we don’t care if we are cool cause we just want to be ourselves and this whole fucking human expeirence is wildly awkward and embarrasing anyway so may as well free ourselves and live out our own personal mythos of cringe. right?

eclipses make us realize how malleable time really is. as we move through this eclipse season portal, i invite you to tug on your own threads of time by exploring previous eclipse dates along this axis (you will find them below) and considering what was going on in your life. and more importantly, who you simply were during these times in your life.

there is some sort of identity to interrogate whether it is to pull that identity forward into this timeline to merge with current you, OR to tell them that you don’t need to care so much about XYZ thing.

the thing that I genuinely love about eclipse season is that you don’t actually need to DO anything. the act of pondering is enough. the ripple of alchemy will occur whether you ponder or not, but the leo-aqua axis does certainly offer ripe weather for pontification.

we may be past the exact solar eclipse, but this current planetary pile up of the sun, south node, jupiter AND mercury in leo is hot and juicy and ripe AF for coming to terms with our authentic self and leaning back into knowing that not everyone is going to like us.

being liked, actually, isn’t the point of this whole life thing.

and as I mentioned earlier this week, it’s actually an innate protection spell of sorts, when we are so authentically living our heart’s truth that we repel those who don’t get it.

so i invite you to consider the versions of self from the below timelines and how they can perhaps usher you towards an even more YOU you.

as cancer season closes out, and leo season roars in, i’m sharing some field notes from the season. this is a cute new series as I have finally decided how I want to engage with substack rn (if you care I’m sharing more below).

this year, cancer season felt like what I imagine the journey of becoming a perfectly matte piece of seaglass feels like before delighted beachcombers define you as prized possession… long nights of crashing into rocks, having the undertow pull you down over and over and over again, grasping for air, surrendering and repeating. 🔁

it was kiiiiinda brutal to say the least.

where I found relief was in the pure cosmic comedy of it all.

mercury retrograde in cancer was soooo fkn obnoxious and on the nose and loud and FUNNY. because cancer is IMHO the underrated comedian of the zodiac.

you know, comedy is all about timing. and cancer, cancer is a sign that KNOWS about timing (ya know being ruled by the moon and all). And lunar timing is so perfect, so witty, so funny — when you can remember to take a step back and laugh. it certainly pushed me into some much needed perspective checks.

this leads me to first lesson in care this mercury retrograde cancer season:

1. amusement moves energy

this is a tenet of the clairvoyance school i studied in for many years. to shift the vibe all that is needed is a little tickle of amusement, even if it starts as cracking smile, the stuck shit MOOOVES. and god damn what that reminder loud and clear in the pure comedy of this season’s retrograde mishaps. and just a reminder that even when it feels that serious, it doesn’t have to be. i think the moon offers this counter balance to saturn (thinking about the cancer — capricorn axis here) that you can be in such fucking integrity but you don’t have to be so fuckign stone cold about it. crack that smile, laugh a little. it’s like…so you fucked up. congratulations, you’re one step closer to success. now have a laugh.

2. what if it’s just not that serious

see the above but like…permission slip to be a silly goose. it’s good for the soul.

3. bread but really, toast, is the base of the food pyramid

listen i refuse to be low carb or whatver in this ozempicedemic waste land. making a cute fucking toast with special little toppings doesn’t solve everything, but it solves a lot.

4. hydrate, bitch

i made drinking water fun again for myself by adding all sorts of shit too it, by putting it in large jars with larger straws and i can confirm that much of my bad moon and burnout was being fueled by caffienated dehydration.

5. you can’t pour from an empty cup

and having multiple ways to fill you cup is key. and non-negotiable. going on your silly little mental health walk IS just as important as that email you need to send.

6. disrupt your cycle

capitalism certainly has us nose to the grindstone and I fall victim to taking on too much work far too easily (blaming my cap placements forever). this season reminded me though that sometimes you just have to disrupt that cycle. this can look as simple as doing 5% less or going on a tech-free walk or as complex as taking a weekend getaway. the real reminder here is that you have some sovereignty in your cycles, even when it feels like you don’t. small actions are necessary care that keep us from burnout.

7. ask for omens, be in relationship with the world around you

sometimes it’s just too much to reach for your cards or keep up with the astrology, but the natural world is always alive around us, waiting for us to listen. you just have to ask. in my overwhelm i found myself outside a lot — talking to my favorite tree, telling the flowers they are pretty, chatting with my local ravens AND asking for omens. i think it’s so easy to think your Practice™ requires a certain amount of time and space and containment. which when that works out it IS beautiful. but not all seasons of life afford that. and such is the benefit and magick of being in constant relationship with your small world, it’s always there to hold you and tend back to you when you tend to it.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about unplugging my astrological viewpoint from the seasonal shifts of the Northern Hemisphere, where I am based. Knowing friends and witches in the Southern Hemisphere, I’v challenged myself to consider how I relate to Cancer Season when I untie it from SUMMER. “Ancestor Season” generally gets attributed to Oct 31 through winter. the emphasis for this opening of the veil is tied to Scorpio season, which is undoubtedly true and relevant.

buuuuut, I’ve been sitting with the case of the Capricorn–Cancer seasonal axis being ripe with ancestral connection. the axis of Mother and Father. the axis of lineage and legacy. the axis of the root and the dream. both signs relating to the passing and cycles of time, each with their own flavor. each sign bringing forth its own palette of melancholy colored by nostalgia, ancestry and younger versions of self.

and here’s the distinction I keep landing on:
Scorpio’s veil is about death as a separate realm. the underworld, ancestors as people we visit on the other side. the Capricorn–Cancer axis isn’t asking you to visit anywhere. it’s pointing at the ancestors being in you, running through your blood, your habits, your nervous system, the way you love and the way you brace for impact. not a door you walk through once a year, but a current you’re standing in all the time whether you clock it or not.

perhaps this is extra loud this year with Mercury retrograding through Cancer, which has had my dreamtime ripe with visitors from my beloved dead and old versions of self. which leads me down another rabbit hole: talking to old versions of self and being in relationship with her and her wisdom in a way that is not so different from how i connect with my beloved dead and guiding spirits.

i think it’s easy to be out of relationship with the truth of this axis because here in the Northern Hemisphere it’s soooo easy to get swept away into Summer and lean into the cardinal energy of Cancer. but in recent years, as my astrological practice and study has been less about reading books and taking courses and more about listening to the world around me, this has become undeniable.

here in America, the 4th of July drops right in the beginning of Cancer season, and damn, it is an ancestral ritual. parades, popsicles, hotdogs off a loved ones grill. it’s pure nostalgia. most of us aren’t thinking about “founding fathers” on the 4th, we’re thinking about being eight years old with sticky popsicle fingers as we jump on the trampoline with a sprinkler underneath it. this weird ass holiday reminded me loudly this year that Cancer season offers a direct line to BIG TIME, tapping into the cycles that have been and will be, where you can simply float in a lake where all things exist at once.

now, “celebrating America” in this current timeline is awkward at best. this country was built on stolen land and colonial violence. i’m not asking you to pretend the 4th is uncomplicated. what i’m nailing on here is an issue of missing ritual in our modern culture.

we are so divorced from ritual in modern life. most of us don’t have a seasonal rites, a thing we do every single year with the same people on the same day. the 4th for many of us has been this throughout our lives.

I cannot get through this season without the smell of my great grandma’s baked beans,or the taste of her specific potato salad. It’s not linear here, past, present and future aren’t lined up waiting their turn, they’re all just sitting in the water together, and something as small as a bite of potato salad can drop you straight back into a kitchen that doesn’t exist anymore. what happens when we allow ourselves to sit in that kitchen again? what beloved dead are there and what do they have to say? BIG TIME can be found in the most mundane places.

Cancer Season Practices I’m Loving

my nervous system is always extraordinarily overrun in Cancer season, something I’ve always attributed to summertime busyness (which is not not true), but I’m realizing it’s also due to the influx of information and not holding myself in the same care that I do in the winter months. thanks to this year’s Mercury retrograde, the message for care and for not “skipping it because you’re busy” has been loud and clear. for me, tending feels harder in the summer. things just aren’t innately cozy this time of year.

so here are some thoughts on tending in Cancer Season (through a Northern Hemisphere lens, if you’re a Southern Hemisphere witch I’d love to hear your practices in the comments!):

drinking my Nervine Refresher
it’s a pretty simple recipe:
grab your emotional support jar
add ice
add LMNT watermelon electrolytes
a TBSP of basil seeds
a dropper of lemon balm tincture
a dropper of milky oats tincture

my friend Leanne asked for a warm version of this since she’s a Southern Hemisphere witch, and this was what i suggested for her:

Nervine Toddy:
Add copious amounts of honey and the juice of half a lemon to a mug
Brew lemon balm and skullcap tea and pour in

sitting at my ancestor altar even though life feels busy I know this seems silly and some of you probably do this every day anyway, but as someone who can get lost in the Summer Sauce™, working this into my daily has been major. I sit with my coffee and tell them what I have going on today, sometimes I share my grievances, and I listen.

dream journaling not something I do on the reg, but I’m realizing Cancer season is so important for dream messages (i mean duh, it’s a lunar-ruled season).

bringing in more lunar magick in general whether that’s working with mugwort or simply sitting intentionally with the Moon and stars each evening.

allowing myself to surrender to Nostalgia as a Teacher I’m not gonna lie, I get the Summertime Sads™ bad, and historically I’ve tried to push through and be a fun girl about it. I’m giving space for them now, which includes crying and reflecting and then writing about it all. from this has come some really rich clarity.

intentionally connecting with younger versions of myself who are always loud in this season. what do they have to say? I tell them about what we’re doing now, and sometimes they’re blown away and sometimes they remind me how far we’ve gotten from our true desires. both have value.

an invitation to write a nostalgia-led poem

this can be about you or those who have come before you. I find it a beautiful practice for this season. Here is a piece I wrote last Cancer season. But the idea is simple: root into your senses and allow them to be the messengers. The moon is the body in astrology after all, and there is an invitation to connect to the experience of those before us (ancestors or OURSELVES) through the senses of the body in this lunar ruled season.

today we have mercury stationing retrograde in cancer at 11:35 am MST (waaaay more on this coming from me this week) AND a full moon in capricorn exact at 5:56 pm MST. it’s kind of a lot. but fear not, i’m here with some astro handholding and witchcraft.

to me, this full moon feels like a big ole period punctuating 2026 thus far. and this punctuation is asking WTF have you even done in the last 12ish months?!

this full moon reports into saturn in aries. and alwaaaays with saturn there is this lingering question of time and the things you have and haven’t done with it. this is prob why I always find capricorn full moons to be distinctive in their “ending” nature. not in a scary way, just in a before and after, marking of time way.

basically, if the solstice didn’t have you spiraling about the year being half way over already, this moon will.

pluuuus, we have our gassy daddy jupiter sitting at the very last degree of cancer really turning up the volume on that “what have you even done with your life” feeling. 29 degrees always brings this really special pressure cooker feeling. and in this instance, it’s asking you wtf have you even grown or created in the last 12ish months.

add mercury retro into the mix and the emotional volatility is HIGH. NGL mercury rx in CANCER, the initiator of all.the.feels, is a bit more rugged than our uje mercury nonesense. emotions and assumptions are running high.

and you know what they say about assumptions, they make an ass of you and me. i’m working on a full mercury retrograde guide, but the headline I have to share really is not to assume that anyone can read your mind (even if you think they should be able to). aaaaaaand a little extra grace goes a long way.

but back to this full moon…

neptune is squaring this lunation, dissolving the edges of what’s real and what’s wishful. it’s not trying to sabotage you, it genuinely wants you to believe in the dream. it just doesn’t care whether you do anything about it. thankfully saturn is also squaring this lunation, who DEEPLY cares about you doing something about it. saturn is turning up the pressure on time, discipline, and what you have and haven’t built.

saturn is alsooo trining venus, giving your desires some backbone. committing to what you really, really want feels less terrifying than usual right now. this is a great full moon to do just ONE thing that moves you towards the thing you want to be doing. lay the first brick, which may just be naming what said thing is.

capricorn energy is the queen of boundaries. saturn shit, yano? and with that in mind i’m just feeling the need to leverage this moon for some CORD FUCKING CUTTING.

alot of y’all be too serious and too precious about cord cutting. this is one of the rare times you are gonna catch me saying anyone is being “too serious” about magickal workings (because safety first), but let me explain…

the number of times a friend has asked me for this ritual just to not do it because they are afraid it means they are banishing the person/situation from their life forever. NAH SIS.

cord cuttings ARE NOT banishings.
cord cuttings are GOOD SPIRITUAL HYGIENE.
they simply push the proverbial reset button on whatever you are cutting.

and when you reset those cords, you get your energy back. all that juicy life force thats been leaking into old attachments, old stories, old versions of people… it comes back to you. and that's exactly what you need to start laying those bricks I was talking about.

so, with that I offer you my favorite BATHTUB cord cutting, cause it’s cancer season after all. and you knoooow the bathtub is my favorite cauldron.

Cord Cutting Bath ⚔️

1. If doing this in the bathtub, run your bath with plenty of salt for grounding and cleansing. Ensure that you have either a salt scrub or some sort of clay mask on your bathtub ledge, we will use it later. Dry brush yourself, visualizing that you are shedding what is no longer serving you. Speak your intentions into the water that you will be using this vessel for cord cutting, thank the water spirits for their assistance. Bonus points if you have a cord cutting oil on hand that you can add a few drops of to you water.

2. Once you get in the tub, close your eyes and imagine yourself on the balcony of a theater looking down at a stage. You may ask any guides or ancestors who have your highest good in mind to be present with you here. Take notice of who has shown up to support you.

3. Ask the person/situation/old version of self/narrative you need to cut the cord with to come to the stage. Visualize the cords between the two of you. What are they made of? What color are they? Examine them with curiosity.

4. After you have spent all the time you would like witnessing and examining the cords, ask for assistance in cutting these cords from one of the guides or ancestors who has been on the balcony with you. Whoever first comes to mind for you is the perfect assistant. Ask them to sever your cords with unconditional love.

5. Watch your cords disappear after they have been cut by your assistant. Where the cords were connected in your body, fill them with love and abundance. You can visualize flowers blooming into the holes and healing them, call in something that represents light for you. If doing this in the bath, use your clay or scrub to “fill” the holes on your physical body, this is a really great bridge into the physical world for this meditation.

6. As you fill in the holes state aloud: “I am free from all ties, cords, karmic commitments and bonds to (fill in the name of what/who you cut the cords from) in all timelines.” You may tell whatever was on stage that they/it are free to go at this time and that you are now both living in sovereignty from one another. Thank your guide for their assistance.

the new moon: 24° gemini, 8:54pm mst

gemini new moons have always felt like abracadabra to me. the word itself, abracadabra, is believed to translate to “i create as i speak.” which is, frankly, the most gemini sentence that has ever existed. 🌬

as we close out spring and barrel toward summer here in the northern hemisphere, things are blooming + growing. the natural world has shown us the magick of growth and creation and in turn inquires to us: “what do you wish to create?’

on the wind of this new moon, we are invited to create as we speak. and there is no better messenger for that work than gemini, ruled by mercury, planet of communication, thinking, and divination. mercury is the psychopomp of the sky: the one who moves between worlds, carrying messages across thresholds. mercury reminds us that our words are not just words. they are threads. and we are always, always weaving.

use them wisely.

the decan: gemini iii
this new moon lands at 24° gemini, in the third decan of the sign. a quick reminder: decans divide each sign into three 10° sections, each with its own planetary ruler and flavor. as a whole, gemini is ruled by mercury. but here in gemini iii, the decan ruler is 🌞 the sun 🌞.

and you can feel it, can’t you? the days getting longer, the light getting louder, the summer solstice soooo very nigh. we are standing at a threshold, liminal and charged. this is a moment to decide who we are going to be when we cross the solstice threshold. this lunation invites us to look back at all we have achieved this year so we can look forward and clearly see what desires we must move toward next, and who we need to be to achieve them.

with mercury in cancer and the sun in gemini as the dual rulers over this liminal moment, with astrological portals popping up all around us, there is truly no better weather for a bit of glamour magick.

let’s talk about the ten of swords

the tarot correspondence for the third decan of gemini is the ten of swords. you know the one. the figure face down, ten swords in the back, very dramatic, very not the vibe you were hoping to hear about when you showed up for glamour magick.

but stay with me...

the ten of swords doesn’t sugarcoat it. some of what ended this year was hard. some of it hurt. but hard endings are still endings. the story has run its course. the old narrative, the old identity, the old way you’ve been speaking about yourself has nowhere left to go.

my guuuuy, this year has been a lot. you have done things. survived things. completed things you didn’t even get to properly acknowledge because life just kept moving. you cannot glamour yourself into your next chapter if you are still standing in the wreckage of the last one.

it happened. you did that. let’s name it before we leave it. (and we will in the guided visualization below).

that’s your abracadabra moment. we acknowledge where we’ve been, we honor what we’ve completed, and from there ... we glamour forward.

why glamour magick, and why now

at its core, glamour magick is about perception. it works with how others see us and how we see ourselves.

here’s the astrological reason i’m leaning into it specifically right now: we cannot be perceived without light. glamour magick requires the sun, full stop. when the sun is astrologically bold, it’s the optimal time to work with visibility, identity, and presence. here in gemini iii, the sun is the decan ruler, which makes it extra potent.

by saturday, june 29th, the sun will be making a tense connection with chiron, surfacing old wounds around identity and belonging. that’s the kind of transit that can have you questioning who you are and whether you belong in the spaces you’re stepping into.

i advise you do this glamour magick visualization before that date. let it be the thing you’ve already done when that chiron transit comes knocking. let it be the armor you don’t have to think about putting on, because you already slipped into it.

there is no better time than a new moon to cultivate the soil of self.

anyone else finally awakening from the daze that has been 2026? idk about you but this week, this full moon, feel like the actual start of the year to me. if you know about april theory, i guess it tracks. but alsooo, this scorpio full moon carries a quality to it that finally allows us to move forward with abandon. to glance in the rearview at everything that has come to light since the aries new moon (and honestly, the entirety of 2026 thus far), rev our engines, and leave what has been in the dust as we embark on our fool’s journey toward the new new that has been whispering sweet nothings in our ear for a whiiiile now.

the full moon occurs at 11° scorpio, the second decan of scorpio. (don’t know what a decan is? it’s a way to subdivide each zodiac sign and give it a broader palette of context and color.) scorpio is ruled by mars (yes, moooore mars🥵) but the second decan is co-ruled by both jupiter and the sun. giving us a much needed exhale. and perhaps more importantly, a renewal of spirit and a genuine glimmer of vitality and wish fulfillment.

both this scorpio full moon and the aries new moon on april 17th were ruled by mars in aries. mars has been absolutely topping tf out of us, and honestly? it’s been a lot. for me it’s led to burnout and overwhelm. despite knowing i need to move forward, i’ve felt weirdly paralyzed. maybe you’ve been harnessing the fire for fuel and if so, yaaaay for you babe.

we know full moons are generally a good time for release. this one is def a both/end for releasing and calling in. but to call in, we gotta let go. we gotta SHED. that is what this bath is for. cause yall know the bathtub is my favorite cauldron!

what you need:

candles this is a lights-off, candle-lit situation.

fresh or dried thyme (for the water)

your favorite body scrub

epsom salt

optional: ritual smoke like palo santo, rosemary, incense, whatever calls to you. crystals or any magical tools that want to be present.

start by preparing your space. clear your bathroom. light your candles. kill the artificial lights. have everything within reach before you step in.

as you run the bath, add your epsom salts and your thyme. thyme is an herb of venus and really great for taurus season. check out rowan & sages post on it here. it’s a heavy lifeter as it provides protection and courage while also supporting release and holding grief. as the water fills, speak your intentions into it:

“water spirits, I call upon you for alchemy and transformation. for shedding and dissolution. for the courage to rise from the fire.”

ff you’re working with ritual smoke, pass it over the surface of the water. you are not just filling a tub, you are programming it. you are asking it to hold you, witness you, and transform you.

take 5 deep breaths. let your nervous system remember it’s allowed to rest.

enter the bath mindfully. sink in. close your eyes and begin to move through everything that has arisen since the aries new moon (or even before) what came alive, what was revealed, what was challenged, what is now, undeniably, finished.

i need you to know there is something so explicitly you that has been ruminating for years. perhaps even before you were born, within your mother’s blood, a seed was sown that you would arrive with, and you get to decide if you will rise to its blooming. this is my understanding of the expression of the new moon being conjunct chiron in aries… chiron is the wound that is also the gift, and in aries that wound lives right at the heart of your personal becoming, the baptism of individuation. and so this thing that wants to come forth that is undeniably, unequivocally you is rasing its head. asking you to birth or abort. there is no judgement on either choice. but it’s time to take action on the direction. it must be noted: astrology happens whether we are consciously creating or not, and so your cards of fate around this will fall regardless. buuuuuut, bestie… being attuned does have its advantages. who doesn’t love conscious co-creation with the world around us?

the weather this week:april 13th - 19th, 2026

as you may know, we have a massive stack of planets in aries rn. the sun, of course. and also chiron, saturn, neptune and mars (the ruler of aries himself) who joined the party on april 9th.

this week, mercury also joins the bonfire on the evening of tuesday, april 14th. followed by the moon the next morning, who will meet up with the sun in the wee hours of friday morning, the 17th, for our new moon in aries.

needless to say, the impulse is HIIIGHER than a kite this week, along with the potential for burnout, aggression, and putting your foot in your mouth. the antidote is definitely shaking a little ass and moving your body in any and all ways that feel good. this is a highly flammable and frenetic season. it’s great for starting that project you’ve been putting off, making the phone call you’ve been avoiding all season, doing some spring cleaning, and booking all the appointments on your to-do list that have been haunting you since february. note: it’s a little rough on patience.

mercury meets up with neptune in aries on thursday 4/16, bringing with it an air of confusion and bizarre miscomms. it’s a great day for propaganda, so don’t believe everything you read (or think) today.

as we head into friday, the moon moves into taurus where it exalts and therefore thirves, joining venus who is luxuriating in her home sign. lean into the groundedness of these two benefics doing their thing in such a lush part of the sky. more on how to do that below.

as you inevitably feel the overwhelm and burnout of this aries overload in the sky, venus in taurus is your ally. she is the opposite of mars in aries, who pushes harder and faster at any cost to forge a path forward. venus say exert less, receive more. it’s easy to overdo the mars right now. but the wise (and sustainable) path forward for yourself at this time includes taking plenty of breaks to stop and smell the roses, perhaps get your hair tussled by your lover while you’re there, and enjoy some sort of luxurious beverage before heading back to the grind. i swear, you don’t have to lose sight of balance in this moment, despite the urge to trailblaze forward (recklessly so in moments).

on sunday, mars and saturn meet in aries. if you've been on astro-internet at all lately you've heard this one coming. and yeah, it's a lot. mars and saturn are diametrically at odds in how they want to move: mars says now, saturn says wait. mars says faster, saturn says stay considered. it's kinda like realizing you forgot to take off your parking brake after driving several blocks. that grinding, resistant, why isn't this working feeling. you're doing the thing but the thing isn't moving and you cannot figure out why. pressure cooker energy that, depending on how you run, either goes quiet and implodes or finds the nearest exit and explodes.

waxing crescent is the most tender phase of the lunar cycle. the energy here isn’t about pushing or proving, it’s about tending. you’ve planted the seed or perhaps are still planting if you were too low energy under the new moon to sow. now, you water quietly and let it do its thing in the dark.

still waxing crescent, but the channel has changed.

the moon moves into gemini sunday and the crescent energy takes on an entirely different texture. where taurus crescent was slow and sensory, gemini crescent is awake, curious, and a little bit chaotic in the best way. seventeen tabs just opened simultaneously. you’re texting three people at once. you thought of something in the shower and now you’re forty minutes into a rabbit hole you didn’t plan to enter.

gemini crescent moon tastes like chugging a bubbly water, refreshing and kinda weird. feels like the moment a conversation gets good. the group chat blowing up. the joy of curiosity with no particular destination.

follow the threads that interest you, talk it through with someone who gets it/you, let your mind play with the new thing you just started. you don’t have to know where it’s going yet.

with sun? with tending? with fertilizer? with pruning? with deadheading? with the help of others?

probably all of the above.

in aries season it’s so easy to consider the forward type of action only, the action related to birth and beginnings and growth and self. and within that, it’s easy to overlook the need to clean and tend to what is dead and lingering still from the winter.

where I live, now that we are in Aries 2, i’m starting to see some blossoms and buds about to burst into bloom. and yet, there is still so much clean up to be done, dried and dead materia to be chruned into the soil to be made into life again.

within this process there is a need to take things slow and steady, which is reflected by this full moon being ruled by an exalted venus in taurus. venus in taurus understands that harmony takes time, reception is a slow and sacred process and that beauty cannot be rushed.

opposite of aries sits libra, and these opposites hold what i find to be one of the greatest tensions in the zodiac…the self (aries) vs the other (libra). how do you maintain their balance? how do you negotiate the tending from one side to the other? and how do you pull in enough libran discernment to know what’s gotta be fertilized and what’s gotta be deadheaded? (something this full moon is certainly asking).

this full moon loudly reminds that the “other” in your life is often a mirror. what’s dying in a relationship is sometimes telling you something about what’s dying in you. what’s overgrown is perhaps something you’ve been afraid to prune in yourself.

jupiter squaring this full moon wants to know if you’re tending your own plot or you’ve been quietly encroaching into the next plot over, taking on more than you were meant to. and saturn opposing the moon makes that message even louder.

compromise has its place. but so does the deadheading. truly honoring the aries-libra axis begs you to hold both.

this is a 10 of cups moment

the 10 of cups is the fairy tale card. the hollywood ending. the “we made it” moment. you know the one.

but let us not forget, 10 reduces to 1 (1+0=1 in numerology). the number of the self. the spark. the emergent beginning. completion always carries the seed of what comes next inside it. the end is wearing a beginning costume. the alpha-omega of it all could not be mooore pisces. the ten of cups is yeah sure, some sort of completion/wish fulfillmnet, but it’s also the beginning of your life.

and the other thing? that rainbow is fleeting af. like, c’mon chat we all knoooow rainbows last minutes (if you’re lucky). more often seconds. the light shifts and they are gone. if you have built your entire vision of fulfillment around arriving at a permanent version of that image, you will spend your whole life starting over and wondering what went wrong.

y’all know the bathtub is my favorite cauldron. it’s where i do my channeling and get the most insightful downloads. a pisces moon ruled by a jupiter in cancer? this is a must. you can make this work for the shower too!

what you’ll need:

• epsom salt

• a few drops of jasmine, lavander or frankincense oil

• a moonstone if you have it to submerge in the water

• a candle

• clearing of the space however you like - with sound or smoke

• journaling materials for after the bath

before you get in:.

clear you space. light your candle. add in a few drops of your essential oil and your salt. place your moonstone in the water. let the smell really surround as you speak to the water. yes, out loud. ask it to become a portal, not just for relaxation, but for reception. something like: “i ask this water and the water spirits to show me the actions and directions and my dreams require.”

in the water:

submerge yourself fully if you can. close your eyes. take three slow, deliberate breaths.

on the inhale: draw in the vision. what does it look like, feel like, smell like, sound like to already be living it? what actions and directions are you being given to arrive there?

mercury is in gatorade again

it began on thursday, february 26th, in the sign of pisces and honeeeeey, mercury in pisces when it's not retrograde already feels like trying to read a glitchy, water-damaged screen. add a retrograde to it, and comms are just WACKY. emails vanish into the ether, miscommunications are basically the dress code, and getting where you need to go can feel like swimming against a whirlpool tide.

but here's what i'll say about this particular retrograde being in pisces….other communication channels are waking up and asking to be revisited. i'm talking the language of omens. of dreams. of your clairs. the subtle world is alive and sparkling and winking at you to remember how you used to interact with it as a child. the messages may not be the most coherent right now(although i woudn’t be surprised if they provide insights the normie world of comms cannot right now) , but they want you in relationship with them.

that’s the cool thing about mercury retrograde, and why i will never hate on it (even if i am annoyed and inconveinced by it). it begs of us to revisit old pieces of ourselves. it asks you to redefine how you are looking at the world or a problem. it invites you to reconsider what you know. it demands that you recalibrate by reaching back in time and reconsider picking up that old project, that idea you abandoned, that piece of you that you let fall through the cracks for whatever reason.

in this capitalist world, we are told to GO, PRODUCE, PURSUE. now FASTER, AGAIN, GO! but mercury retrograde says naaaah man, you gotta slow down. you gotta give yourself enough time to get to work leisurely enough to stop and smell the roses and experience the poetry that the subtle world is always trying to whisper in your ear. you are worth more than the pace you’re able to maintain. brilliance lives in the remembering right now, and remembering is a gloriously passive act. there is spaciousness available to you if you let your mind wander and right now, that wandering is the work.

a lunar eclipse in virgo.

i swear eclipses don’t show up to wreck your life. they stitch time together. they pull threads from past cycles and weave them into new chapters.

this is the third virgo eclipse in the pisces/virgo eclipse series, a story that kicked off back in 2024. think about what virgoan things you’ve been quietly (or loudly…) untangling over the past year. perhaps being an overly harsh inner critic or perfectionist habits that exhaust you? this eclipse continues that process of release. the south node is doing its thing, and its thing is shedding.

our current eclipse cycle stretches from 2024 into early 2027, but it echoes back to 2006–2008 and 2015–2017, the last time we had eclipses along this axis. reverbs from 2006–2008 are floating around, but it may be easier to notice the connections to 2015–2017 and our recent unfoldings under this axis in 2025.

welcome to eclipse season. welcome to saturn-neptune conjunction week. a week of incredibly defining astrology. plus, under this new moon solar eclipse we usher in the year of the fire horse. there is sooo much change afoot, my babes. this isn't just any old eclipse.

before we even talk about what’s happening this week, we need to zoom out and understand the backdrop, the 36-year cycle of saturn and neptune.

the backdrop of this moment

saturn and neptune do this ~36-year dance with one another. from conjucntion to opening square to opposition to closing square, and then restarting it all with a new conjunction. this is a battle of construction vs. dissolution. saturn wants to build things that last and rules over things like institutions and systems. neptune dissolves, idealizes, creates illusion and delusion until you can't tell what's real. they are complete opposites in this regard. and this dance they do is a constant turn and burn of creation and dissolution. when thse two come together alllll sorts of things get revealed. let’s look at the cycle that’s been running since 1989:

1989 (conjunction in capricorn): saturn and neptune merged in earth energy, in the sign of institutions. things started cracking. the berlin wall fell. the cycle began with a crack in the foundation.

1998-1999 (opening square, saturn in taurus square neptune in aquarius): reality started clashing hard with our dreams. y2k anxiety. people questioning what they thought was solid. the tension between “what we built” and “what we thought we knew” was palpable.

2006-2007 (opposition, saturn in leo opposite neptune in aquarius): peak tension. delusions shattering. the spotlight turned on climate crisis, and then the financial crisis started unfolding. everything was exposed. reality vs. illusion at maximum friction.

2015-2016 (closing square, saturn in sagittarius square neptune in pisces): “fake news” got popularized as a term. elections filled with distrust. we were all trying to figure out what was true and what was manufactured. the cycle was winding down, preparing for the reset.

february 20, 2026 (new conjunction in aries): a brand new cycle begins. saturn and neptune merge in aries, in fire.

fire is not earth. fire is not about slow, methodical building. fire is initiation, passion, action, rage. this new cycle? it’s about belief demanding action. dreams fueled by hot passion. your vision only manifests if you’re willing to burn for it.

we’re quite litcherally at the threshold in this now moment, on the precipice of ignition. this is not the time to dream passively. this is the time to feel the rage that informs your vision and let it fuel you forward.

The Eclipse players

the sun and moon are meeting at at 28° aquarius on february 17th 5:01 am MST. the third decan, ruled by saturn but co-ruled by moon and venus. correlated to the seven of swords in tarot. in 36 faces austin coppock talks about this decan being “the knot.”

you are standing at the convergence of timelines. who you have been and who you are becoming are meeting, and in that meeting, a choice has to be made. this is the seven of swords moment. you’re carrying five swords forward with you, but two swords must stay behind. they don’t fit with who you’re becoming.

venus conjunct the north node in pisces and your yearning is screaming

when any planet touches the north node that planet gets unignorably loud. and with the moon and venus co-ruling the decan this eclipse is in, it means your emotional needs and your desires are wrapped up tight in this knot. with venus exalted in pisces conjunct the north node, you feel everything. you’re hyper-aware of where you yearn for more, of all your tender parts. you know what you’re leaving behind by abandoning those two swords.

saturn in aries is the boss of this eclipse

this is where saturn in aries comes in. saturn responds to venus with a hot knife, coterizing that yearning as you cut through the knot. cut through the entanglement and jump into a new timeline fueled by passion and rage and hot flesh.

sun and moon squaring uranus in taurus is giving wild card

uranus brings accidents, shock, sudden revelations, insights and surprises. it’s the unexpected plot twist, the thing you didn’t see coming. under this eclipse, something is about to break open or break loose, whether personally or collectively*.

be a little extra cautious this week. uranus can be brilliant, but it can also be reckless.

saturn in aries, seconds away from neptune conjunction on friday

saturn just entered aries two weeks ago, and it’s already moving toward neptune. this is initiation by fire. this is passion that wants action behind it. your rage is informing your dreams and what does that look like? what does that feel like? this is fleet-footed energy. this is asking for wild yet rooted action. rooted deep in the fire of your belly.

*On Eclipse Omens

you know how everyone and their mom tells you everything you should absolutely not do under eclipses? that is partially because eclipses throughout time immemorium have portended all sorts of bad omens. including one that traces back to babylonian times, that eclipses are king killers. eclipses are portals where end and begin converge, so you can understand how this could easily become a death portal. and if you see enough of your kings die under an eclipse, you've got yourself a well founded omen. this prophecy was so well documented that there was a ritual across mesopotamia under eclipses to enact a "substitute king" and hide the real king away in hopes that the omen would be transferred to his dupe. after the eclipse passed, the substitute king would be sacrificed in order to fulfill the prophecy of the eclipse.

what a shame it would be if a particular "king" fell from grace under this eclipse….

this is where the * comes in from my uranus section. i could certainly see some sort of surprise world event correlated to this omen of kings falling.

saturn in aries is hot. fire element, cardinal energy, initiatory heat. and you’re about to step into a week of major energetic activation. your nervous system is gonna be running hot. your body is gonna need support.

growth begins before the conditions are ideal.

that is what imbolc reminds us.
that is what this full moon reminds us.

february 1st is an important turning of the wheel of the year, as it marks the halfway point between winter solstice and spring equinox. also known as the celtic fire fest, imbolc. although we are deeply in the heart of aquarius season and winter, astrologer and botanist Dr. J. Lee Lehman reminds us that this is the moment when spring biologically begins. in the heart of winter. underneath it all. unseen. unwitnessed. unknown to those who aren’t quietly listening, the promise of a big, bright bloom is being birthed under the slow thaw of winter’s hardened ice.

and this is the moment when the thaw really begins.

in celtic mythology, there are a handful of days in the heart of winter, the heart of aquarius season, that warm just enough to allow brigid (goddess of the hearth and forge, spring, smithcraft, healing) to take power back from the cailleach (divine hag and primordial goddess) who presides over winter. depending on the myth you read, these two are either in a constant battle where brigid takes power at imbolc (feb 1) as we prepare for spring and the callieach takes power at lughnasadh (aug 1) as we prepare for fall OR they are the same goddess dancing between crone and maiden. either way, one thing is certain. the wheel will always turn. a reminder for all as we sit one month into this wheel of fortune year.

and so i ask you, star babe, how does this leo full moon shine into your heart, asking you to listen to what is growing, despite external conditions? what fire is brigid trying to kindle in you?

*an important note: this is my first year walking through imbolc with reverence for and commitment to brigid. i am new to this tradition and i'm still finding my footing in the mythologies. if the celtic festivals resonate with you, i highly recommend reading breakdown of this full moon and imbolc, and doing your own research through reputable celtic sources. if you are looking for a starting point i can highly recommend the irish pagan school.

the leo full moon arrives at 3:09 pm MST on sunday, february 1st, opposite a FAT aquarius stack in the sky that involves the sun, mercury, venus, vesta, mars and pluto.

this is happening at 13° which puts us in the second decan of leo, meaning this lunation is ruled by both the sun AND jupiter.

since the sun entered aquarius on january 19th it has been INTENSE. venus, mercury, the sun and mars have all had a meet cute with pluto these last few weeks. pluto rules our subterrenean and reveals what lies in our collective and personal dark, underworld caverns. a tour of the underbelly. and without getting deeply into the details of current events, you can see how deeply plutonian our last few weeks have been.

the second decan of leo correlates to the 6 of wands, a card of success and triumph. this feels deeply aligned to the january 30th strike and walkout - the people (aqaurius) finding a stage (leo) for their voices. hundreds of thousands of americans protested, closed their buinesses, donated to mutal aid funds. The people showing up to show who they are NOT (aquarius) in the face of the king (leo).

noooow, coming back to the fact that his lunation is co-ruled by jupiter…who is currently retrograde in cancer. there is some sense of nostalgia here. perhaps nostalgia for what you thought america to be. perhaps nostalgia for your ancestors view of the world. perhaps longing for a version of yourself before the machine swallowed us all.

retrograde jupiter in cancer brings a tender ache to the surface.

and this is where brigid enters our full moon chat again. she was the first person to keen - a mournful wailing for those who have died. sitting in her grief after the passing of her son, she wailed so deeply that she gave voice to something that had never been named before.

brigid isn’t simply a goddess of spring and birth. she also midwifes death. she tends grief. so if you’re feeling the ache of what’s been lost under this full moon, that’s brigid too. allow the keening.

another reflection of the duality of brigid holding hands with both birth and death is what’s happening with pluto + neptune. these two will be dancing through a sextile until 2032. which means, these heavy-hitting outer planets will be supporting one another (and us?🤞🏽) through this next stretch of time…

with pluto in aqaurius exposing where the people have been wronged by power being hoarded, neptune in aries joins up with a radical question: what if imagination became our most dangerous weapon? what if through our grief we find the space for rebirth? what if we birthed our most fiery dreams?

soooooo under this full moon, you're being asked to grieve and to dream.

now before we part ways… seems like both brigid and the leo full moon point us toward a ritual to MELT ICE.


MELTING ICE: A Banishing Spell

What you need:

• A bowl

• 3-4 ice cubes

• salt

• paper and a pen

• ideally 6 candles, as few as 2 can work

• matches or a lighter

• some time to sit with the ice melting to visualize

Write “ICE” on a strip of paper. add ice to your bowl and then arrange the 6 candles around your bowl, feeling yourself and the collective represented in these candles as you light them. sprinkle the ice with salt. as it dissolves, visualize ICE itself dissovling with it. watch it break apart. see the families reuniting. feel the harm being lifted, the future shifting.

when the ice has melted completely, tear the paper with “ICE” written on it into pieces into the puddle of now salt water. take this to flush down the toilet as you recite:

plenty of 10-year marks have come and gone without this fervor of looking back. what gives with the 2026 ↔ 2016 nostalgia surge we’ve all been seeing on social media?

the astrology, of course. 😉

there are many layers to whats happening here, but let’s start with a biggie: neptune at 29°. the delulu king has been sitting at 29° pisces since retrograding back there in late October 2025.

neptune at the edge

maybe you have heard me talk about 29° before, if you haven’t heres the rant. this is the anaretic degree in astrology, and it’s giving crisis, baybeee. it’s theee final degree a planet hits before changing signs. and because the outer planets move at a snail’s pace, when we get those outer daddies (like neptune) stationed here, especially with a retrograde thrown in, they’re parked at this threshold for a whiiiile.

to me, 29° energy always feels like living inside a pressure cooker. the planet is frantically trying to wrap up everything it represents in that sign before moving on. every single expression of neptune in pisces is being distilled, intensified, and wrung out like a wet cloth.

this is intesifed even FURTHER due to the fact that we will never experience neptune in pisces again in our lifetimes. neptune takes 165 years to lap the zodiac and on monday, january 26th neptune will fr fr enter aries, where it will be until March 2039. so yeah, we’re on the precipice of a massive paradigm shift, if you couldn’t already feel it.

what neptune in pisces gave us (2011-2026)

neptune rolled into pisces in 2011, and the last ~15 years have been an absolute debacherous display of neptunian energy. think about what rose during this era…the explosion of social media (facebook acquired instagram in 2012). we went from myspace’s diy vibes to instagram’s curation, creating a pipeline to blurring the lines between internet and reality. fast forward to today, we’ve arrived to the “same face” timeline. everyone has the same fillers, the same lips, because what started out as fun animal filters used for entertainment (see: dog filter in 2016) turned into feeling uncomfortable without a filtered face. this aspect of neptune in pisces didn’t just blur our vision, it has made us chase a version of ourselves that isn’t real.

the rise of spirituality as a commodity is another side of the neptunian coin. crystal lined water bottles, manifestation courses around every corner, obscure healing retreats for $10k a week, white shamans aplenty. 2011 was the first time a dirty hippy gifted me palo santo. other adventures on this neptunian timeline included a DMT-obsessed boyfriend who said he met my ancestors and we’re meant to have 5D babies together. just sooo much spiritual bullshit™.

the nodes…

now for the nodes role in this look-back.

in 2016, the lunar nodes were in virgo-pisces. the north node was in virgo (practical + analytical), and the south node was in pisces (dreamy + boundless).

as of january 11, 2025, we re-entered the virgo-pisces nodal axis, but this time flipped. the north node in pisces, and the south node in virgo. this makes the callback to 2016 not just natural, but expected. we’re confronting the same themes from a completely new perspective. it’s a recalibration opportunity.

add to this the absolute yearning created by the north node, saturn, and neptune all reporting into a retrograde, exalted jupiter in cancer… it's creating an unforgiving undertow of "nostalgia." which i put in quotes cause honestly, the neptune-saturn hangout right now makes it unclear if we are truly nostalgic of this time or saturn is just forcing us to do some recall. hard to call it nostalgia when it just appears in your dreams and on your timeline non-consensually, haunting you with things from 2016 that perhaps you wanted to leave in 2016.

the saturn-neptune cycle

saturn and neptune do this ~36-year dance with one another. from conjucntion to opening square to opposition to closing square, and then restarting it all with a new conjunction. this is a battle of construction vs. dissolution. saturn wants to build things that last and rules over things like institutions and systems. neptune dissolves, idealizes, creates illusion and delusion until you can't tell what's real. they are complete opposites in this regard. and this dance they do is a constant turn and burn of creation and dissolution.

1989 (conjunction in capricorn): the cycle begins. saturn and neptune merge and things start to crack. the berlin wall falls.

1998-1999 (opening square, saturn in taurus square neptune in aquarius): the first challenge. reality starts clashing with our dreams. y2k anxiety. people questioning what they thought was solid.

2006-2007 (opposition, saturn in leo opposite neptune in aquarius): peak tension in the cycle. delusions shattering, spotlight on climate crisis, financial crisis begins unfolding.

2015-2016 (closing square, saturn in sagittarius square neptune in pisces): final challenge before the cycle ends. “fake news” gets popularized as term. presidential election filled with distrust.

february 20, 2026 (new conjunction in aries): a new cycle begins. saturn and neptune merge in aries. burn it down and start anew?

so when we look back at 2016, we’re reflecting on the last turn of this cycle. and ya know, saturn loves time, so it makes sense WHY 2016.

the throwback is a form of processing, tbh

before neptune moves into aries (and saturn joins on feb 13th) and we are asked to trust our own inner authority, we’re having this final moment of reckoning. witnessing the maze we navigated.

we’re not just “looking back at 2016.” we’re processing the neptune in pisces era and the latter half of our most recent saturn-neptune cycle.

so yeeeeah, you could say the 2016 nostalgia is all about the astrology of these liminal few weeks.

I’m struggling to get back on the horse with astrology writing after the winter holidays. January is never an easy month to navigate, and the atrocities we wake up to every. single. day. are overwhelming. As an astrologer, I can’t untie what’s happening in the world from what’s happening in the sky. And as a human who feels hopeless and defeated by the wickedness I’m witnessing, it’s hard to set that aside and show up to talk to you about the stars.

As we sit on the precipice of destruction of the world we have known, it feels perhaps silly to write about the stars. Or perhaps I feel overwhelmed plugging into this space as I can’t (and won’t) spiritually bypass you by simply telling you “OMG THIS IS GORGE MOON FOR MANIFESTING, BABE!” (which is objectively is, but it is also many other things.)

I feel the responsibility to incorporate our current lived experience into the weaving of my astrological musings. To say it like it is. To face the darkness, speak to it. To face the lightness, speak to it. And therewithin hopefully provide you a token of joy or hope or happiness or just even a god damn break from scrolling on your phone as you pray to see another Heated Rivalry edit, but instead are smacked with the reality of ICE in Minnesota.

I’m bucking up, facing the music and writing to you because meaning-making systems are more important than ever. Finding moments of joy are more important than ever.

And maybe you need this too. A way to feel less alone in the darkness. A way to connect your personal work to the larger transformation happening.

THE MOMENT WE'RE IN

The New Moon in Capricorn arrives on Sunday, January 18th at 12:52 MST. And where do I even begin with the intensity and levity of this lunation…

I guess with the fact of just HOW Capricorn this moment is. We have the Sun, the Moon, Mercury and Mars all stacked up in Cap. The Sun and Moon meet at 28°, the exaltation degree of Mars. For those not fluent in astro-speak, every planet has one exact degree where it feels most powerful, most capable, most itself. Now we don’t have Mars there quite yet (he is still at 26°, but when he gets there on Jnauary 21st there will certainly be some echo of what happens under this New Moon playing out…). Mars at 28° Capricorn is like a blade freshly sharpened, ready to cut with surgical precision and strategy, and this new moon is being imbued, blessed and anointed with THAT vibe.

Honestly, imho it’s giving blood oath. Mars is reaching for our hand with his whetted blade, asking us to take action in planting seeds for a future we might never personally see bloom.

This is all going down in the Third Decan of Capricorn. So even though Cap always funnels up to its Daddy Saturn, we also have Mars and Mercury, who I mentioned are both in Capricorn, as co-pilots. TLDR: all roads lead to exalted Mars energy.

This decan is deeply about success, power and resources. It’s connected to the 4 of Pentacles, which in the Rider-Waite literally shows a Man holding onto his wealth for dear life.

Now, a quick reminder about Mars. Yes, this is the God of War. Mars = ambition, strategy, fucking, fighting, action, momentum. But also, Mars is a hot knife, ready to cut, to sever, to trim what must go with the ease of slicing through room temp butter.

So let’s think about the implications of this decan: success, power, wealth. I mean, we have a visual in the 4 of pents of someone litcherally hoarding these things.

Now think about an exalted Mars. Such great ability and capability to cut, to damage, to sever.

Aheeeeem, it’s giving trim the excess power and wealth from those who are hoarding it…at least from where i’m sitting.

As we face the consequences of those in power abusing it, witnessing/experiencing the pain of how they utilize their resources to hold power over to garner greater control, this New Moon hands us a sword. It’s reaching for your palm, reaching for a blood oath, reaching to hand YOU the blade. Should you choose to interact and leverage this moment, it’s potent, it's magickal, it’s serious.

Who Else is on the Stage:

• Mercury and Mars are making a trine to Uranus, who's retrograde in Taurus. Since 2018, Uranus in Taurus has been disrupting what we think we know about resources, about money, about sustainability. In its final retrograde through this sign, it's been asking us to rethink these things internally. Now, with this trine, there is perhaps support to act on these rethinks. Even if only through magic.

• All of Capricorn must funnel up to Saturn, and Saturn right now is on its final tour of Pisces. And it’s also conjunct Neptune, who is at 29° Pisces, on the precipice of leaving its peak place of illusion, delusion, and dissolution for the rest of our lives. Y’all, it feels very trippy. Very liminal. Very “is this dream or is this reality?” (Hello, dissociation station.) With the influence of Neptune at the 29th degree on this New Moon, things are feeling like a weird flat circle of time encompassing all that has happened since April 2011. There is a weight of time with this New Moon that goes beyond the usual Capricorn time awareness. We’re holding ropes both forward and backwards in time and you can feel it. This is deeply threshold energy. If you’re feeling like we’re walking into something new, it’s because we are. And in many ways, this Moon invites us to sever and trim and let what must die, die. Pisces does not fear death or endings, for it is required in the process of birthing something new.
  

A NOTE ON MARCRO VS MIRCO IN THE MOMENT

I recognize I’m speaking from a very transpersonal place around this lunation. Because there is such levity to the energy being presented to use under this dark sky in these dark times, I take personal responsibility to speak to the macro human experience at this time.

But if you need to zoom out from the macro and into the micro, which I totally understand, pleaseeee do. The world we wake up to each morning is incredbily overwhelming and we must still survive and feed our families and find sparks of joy as part of our human work. Please know, this new moon is obejectly stunning for manifesting better resourcing in your life, more stability, increased income…whatever it may look like.

So, if you, at this time need to leverage this moment for better resourcing yourself, GET YOUR BAG. Because you being better resourced only leads to you pouring from a full cup into places that need your resourcing (whether time, support, money or something else).

TL;DR even though I’m preaching about this lunation being prime for visioning a power grab that benefits the collective, it’s still prime for some good ol personal manifestation.

RITUALS FOR THE CAPRICORN NEW MOON

Shedding Bath We’re in the final stretch of shedding the year of the snake. The lunar new year is coming next month. This is also the last non-eclipsed New Moon before eclipse season kicks off. What do we need to dissolve and shed before we welcome all of that?

Supplies:
- Candles (this as a lights-off, candle-lit situation
- your favorite body scrub
- Dandelion Root tea (brewed before you get in)
- Epsom salt
- Optional: ritual smoke like palo santo, rosemary, marijuana, or incense. If crystals or other magical tools are calling to you, bring those too.

Start by preparing your space. Brew your Dandelion Root tea and let it steep while you work. Clear your bathroom. Light candles, as many as you want. Turn off the artificial lights. Have your Epsom salts, body scrub, and any ritual smoke within arm’s reach.

As you run your bath, add the Epsom salts and speak your intentions into the water: “Water spirits, I call upon you for alchemy and transformation, for sheddign and dissolution.” If you’re moved to do so, pass your ritual smoke over the surface of the water. You’re not just filling a tub. You’re programming it. You’re asking it to hold you and transform you.

Take 5 deep breaths. Center yourself in this candlelit space.

Enter the bath mindfully. Soak. Let yourself settle into the warmth. Close your eyes and begin to visualize what you’re ready to shed and dissolve, whether micro or macro, whether for the personal or the collective.

When you’re ready, take your body scrub and begin the physical shedding. As you scrub away the old skin, the old energy. Feel the old energy being sloughed away, returning to the water to be transformed.

Now hold your cup of Dandelion Tea and state with conviction: “As I pour this tea, I dissolve this slough.” Pour it into your bath.

Close your eyes. Watch yourself living the world you’re calling in. See it like a movie. Watch the steps that need to be taken. Continue soaking until you feel complete. When you’re ready, as you drain the water, thank it. Thank it for holding you. Thank it for the alchemy. Thank it for witnessing your shedding and your rebirth.

Take your time with this ritual. Let the water hold you. Let the candlelight illuminate your truth. Let the alchemy happen. You’re not just taking a bath. You’re shedding a skin. You’re alchemizing an ending into a beginning.

Refresh Your Money Bowl If you have a money bowl refresh it. Empty it out. Clean it whether with smoke, salt, or good ol soap.

Fill it again with intention. Add coins. Add images of stability, security, the life you’re building. Add written affirmations about the resources you’re calling in. This is a visual anchor for your nervous system: this is what safety looks like.

Keep it somewhere you see it regularly.

Attraction Spell for Resources Gather a chime candle (opt for green if you can) and dress it with any combination of oil, basil, cinnamon and bay leaf. On a piece of paper, write down the specific resources you’re calling in. Not vague shit. Be specific. “$X more monthly income” or “a job that pays fairly and lets me sleep” or “the ability to give more to my community.”

Sit with the candle and your intention. Read it aloud 5 times. Slowly. Let your nervous system hear the words. Let your body believe it’s possible.

Burn the paper in the candle flame and watch the smoke carry your intention upward.

Do this on the night of the New Moon if you can.

Vision Board for the Big Future
There are two vision board exercises below, visioning is a super power of new moon time!

This is about the world you want to see. Not your personal world, the world. What does it look like when power is distributed? When resources flow to those who need them? When communities actually care for each other?

Find images, words, phrases that capture that vision. Cut them out. Arrange them. Make it messy or polished, doesn’t matter. What matters is that it visually represents the future world you hold in your heart.

Hang it somewhere you’ll see it.

Vision Board for the Small Future Where do you want your year to go? What does your life look like when things shift? What’s more stable? What brings more joy?

Do the same thing. Images. Words. Phrases. Make it real. Hang it somewhere you see it.

Poem Planting Write a poem about the world you’re dreaming of. Describe the future world to your senses. What does it taste like? What does it smell like? What does it look like? What does it sound like? What does it feel like?

How are you taken care of in this future? How is your community taken care of? What’s different? What’s healed? What’s possible that isn’t now?

Pour all of it onto the page. This poem is your vision made tangible. If you’re feeling extra, mark it with your blood.

We are going to bury this poem in the earth a seed for the future we hold in our hearts, a seed that may not sprout until our bodies are also part of the earth.

But, before we do that, it is important to acknowledge and provide offerings to the land spirits. Now if this is new concepting to you, here is the deal:

Who are the original keepers of the land you reside on? Look it up if you don't know. Find out who the indigenous people are who held this place before it was stolen. Learn their names.

Prepare a biodegradable offering for them (my go-to is honey water). If you are going to do this offering on the land where you home is, I like to find the biggest tree and do this work there. You could also do this in a park or another accessible outdoor space you feel safe in. Take your offering thank the land spirits for holding you, your life, your family. Tell them what you are planting, tell them about the future you hold vision for and read your poem aloud to them. Then ask them to hold the vision too. To plant it deep. To keep it safe as it takes root. To witness its blooming no matter how far into the future that may be. Thank them deeply for their guardianship and offer your stewardship to them.

Donation Spell The decan this New Moon inhabits is deeply about money and resources. If you have the means to do so, this is a wonderful time to resource an area that needs it. Immigrant law support. Food banks. Mutual aid funds. Something else you are attuned to.

do you remember feeling like it was impossible to begin or start or do that “new years” thing in january 2025? you feelin’ how different january 2026 feels on that front?

i mean, maybe after we all witnessed, experienced and grieved in 2025 we are just hungry for the idea of a fresh start.

buuuuut, also, 2025 began with a MARS RETROGRADE.

mars, the planet of momentum. forward motion. ferocity. audacity. mars the warrior, the severer of what is not needed. we spent the first half of 2025 with a debilitated mars, and you may remember how it felt like a 3-legged foot race in mud.

the astrology of the start of THIS year is ostensibly giving us a leg up on starting something new. (which we need dearly cause everything about 2026 is new…this is the dawning of a very different age. more to come on this. ) thanks to a fat cap stack and back-to-back cazimis this week. not to mention, we have begun this year with mars in capricorn, it’s exaltation.

and i’m here on my soapbox to tell you all this cazimi-ing is teeing us up for all the “new yearsy” things. like goal setting. resolutions. and also new years things we don’t consider enough like - what’s gotta go, what’s gotta be severed for us to move forward.

cazimi-what-ee?

i know, what even is a cazimi? it’s when a planet gets so close to the sun, within 1°, that it’s in the heart of the sun. here it receives a deep solar blessing of clarity and radiance. but before that happens, planets are combust (within 8° of the sun) which sounds exactly like it feels: they’re getting roasted. overshadowed. stressed. the sun’s rays are just too much and really overshadow the identity of the planet.

but when the planet is cazimi, it gets inside the light instead of burnt by it. going from exhausted to elevated, from hidden to on a pedestal.

when a planet is cazimi, it’s not just able to see itself and therefore really embody it’s role, it’s play it’s role absolutely perfectly. with clarity, with effectiveness, with good fortune. the things that planet normally does? they get amplified and refined all at once, often providing an insight, clue or aha moment in our lives.

we already had Venus cazimi on Jan 6th (we’re still in those vibes), and Mars cazimi is on Friday the 9th. both in Capricorn. plus, they had an exact conjunction on Jan 7th. The lovers, meeting in the heart of the sun, whispering from the mouth of eros, sweet, clarifying some things to you. what a start to the year!

about eros energy:

when mars and venus meet up we get serious eros energy. icymi eros is the love child of mars and venus in mythology. but what does it mean astrologically? well, we’re being served the merging of desire and action, magnetism and drive, what we want and what we do about it. that’s eros, not just sex (buuut that too), but that primal, alive, I want something and I’m going after it energy.

in capricorn, it’s serious eros, intentional eros. it’s giving you know what you want and you’d walk 500,000 miles to get it. i mean, probably run, actually, and find some sort of shortcut along the way.

tldr: if you're going to want something, want it seriously. and if you want it seriously, be willing to build it.

how i would use this astrology:

consider what needs to be severed in your life. where can mars come in and cut attachments and cords that you no longer need? be open to the aha moment about what’s gotta go. relationship that’s run its course? belief about yourself that’s been limiting you? situation that keeps pulling your energy in the wrong direction? job that’s no longer aligned? friendship that became one-directional?

this is optimal time for a cord-cutting, cleansing ritual or uncrossing spell. (including ideas below for inspo, but do your fav if you have one.)

now, for an perhaps unpopular opinion with the positive mindset manifestation crowd. the power of stating what you DO NOT want.

imho 80% of clarifying what you DO want is getting crystal clear on what you DON’T. sooo before you jump into the typical “new yearsy” things, i invite you to allow yourself the clarity on what you’re not doing/bringing/wanting in 2026.

if you have a particular goal in mind like finding a new job, get clear on what the job isn’t. what you don’t want. what would make you miserable. red flags you won’t ignore.

mars isn’t necessarily discerning, that’s saturn’s bag. but mars wants success in its actions. especially mars in capricorn. that project manager vibe capricorn brings to mars? you’ll quickly know what’s not needed so you can swiftly move along your path. in capricorn, mars respects efficiency. and starting with what’s outside of our boundary makes setting what’s in our boundary 1,000,000x easier.

use Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for all your “new yearsy” things:

• setting goals

a go-to cleansing, it’s gonna sever anything disturbing your peace and flow.

light your candle, call on your those who have your back in the other realm and ask for their support and protection. cut lemon into quarters and arrange them on a plate. grab your salt and think about everything that’s gotta go. the situations, the people, the patterns, the beliefs about yourself. all of it. sprinkle that salt all over the lemon while you’re holding all of that in your mind.

chant: “uncrossed. unbound. clear. uncrossed. unbound. clear.

set the plate somewhere you can watch it alongside your candle (allow to burn through if you can. if you must blow out, simply tell the candle remember what do each time you blow it out and relight it until it has burned all the way down).

whe the lemon is completely dried out, your work is done. throw the whole thing away. if the lemon starts to mold before it dries, repeat the spell.

simple way to consciously + magically sever what's been draining you…a person, a situation, a belief about yourself.

close your eyes and get grounded. imagine a walled garden—whatever that looks like for you. call in whoever’s got your back. guides, ancestors, deities, your higher self, whatever. they’re floating around you.

the gate creaks open and the person or situation you’re done with walks through. look at the cords connecting you two. what are they? rope? silk? chains? what color? where in your body do they hook in? just witness it. don’t judge it.

ask whoever’s supporting you to cut them. (a phoenix is solid if you don’t know who to ask.) watch the cords sever and watch what happens. do they dissolve? explode? dissipate?

see the holes they left filling with light. flowers blooming. soil sealing. healing.

anoint the paper with rose oil. grab your jar and fill it halfway with honey. tuck your petition in and cover it completely with honey. add your herbs. light a candle on top or near it, pray with it however feels good to you. pick 1 day/week or month to talk to it and light a candle for it. keep it on your altar all year as you do this.

we need to talk about new year’s resolutions, my friends.

and in order to do that, we must address the elephant in the room - TIME. Which my pisces heart very much bucks and decisively knows is not real, while my capricorn parts require me to attend to it and attune my life around it.

which is to say, I’m deeply at war with myself about this.

when we have such a big social contract we all have agree upon (the Gregorian Calendar and Janaury 1st at the turning of the year) of COURSE there are serious energtics around it’s impact. we all FEEL this threshold and mark it as a before and after moment in so many ways. which is why the energics of it hold SO much power.

across traditions and cultures, the new year occurs at many different times. the astrological new year begins at the spring equinox in march when the sun moves into aries. nowruz, the persian new year, falls on the spring equinox too. the lunar new year hits in late january or february depending on the moon cycle (it’s the second new moon after winter solstice). these are just what i’m attuned to but there are many different timings of the “new year” across history and culture.

as a lunar ruled person, i find myself most aligned to the timing of the lunar new year.

the lunar cycles feel alive. the spring equinox feels like an actual turning. january 1st sometimes feels like i'm forcing it. which one hits for you?

this all leads me to my thesis that our modern concept of NEW YEAR affords us the luxury allowing it to be what it truly is: a portal. not a switch you flip or a page you turn. instead, a liminal space you slide into, awaken into, ease into, rather than hurling yourself across like your life depends on it. a pathway, rather than a simple flip of the switch or a single turning of the page.

now back to resolutions.

let's be sooo for real about what's actually happening as we roll into January. we are coming out of a season of overstimulation. holiday excess, social obligations, sensory overload, financial stress, family dynamics, and whatever personal chaos was happening alongside all of it. we're running on fumes and nostalgia and probably some guilt about our bodies, our productivity, or how much we drank.

you're making decisions about who you want to become from a place of burnout and depletion. you're not consulting your heart or your intuition or your subtle body.

like who wants to make a guilt informed resolution? where the fuuuuck is the magick in that?!

saturn season x2

folks always come at me with the same argument about why january 1st makes perfect sense for resolutions: “but it’s capricorn season! capricorns are goal oriented! they’re ambitious! it’s literally written in the stars!”

okay, sure. capricorn is ruled by saturn, and yes caps can be pretty goal obsessed. buuuut this doesn’t necessarily mean january is when you should be taking action on your goals.

saturn is not mars. mars is the planet of action, initiative, just going. mars rules aries, and guess what? the astrological new year begins in aries at the spring equinox in march. that’s when we’re ready to take action.

but we’re not in aries right now. we’re in the thick of saturn season. and not just one saturn season, we be rolling through two back to back: capricorn and then aquarius (hence why january feels like 100,897,798 days long).

saturn is the architect. daddy knows that lasting transformation takes time, structure, a solid plan, discipline, and yes, a fuckton of time.

saturn wants to know: do you have the foundation in place? what’s the actual structure needed here? how are we building something that lasts? and kicking the year off with our last tour of saturn in pisces? what have the last three years shown you about what you want to build? what are dreams telling you? how does the unseen inform your goals here in reality?

setting resolutions on january 1st and expecting to sprint toward them means you’re ignoring the entire planetary setup. because setting something under saturn means we are in it for the long haul. and in order to be successful for such a long ride we gotta give ourselves bitesized moments of achievement to yes, give us the will to keep going.

this is why i love a quarterly breakdown, which we are gonna get into in a few more paragraphs.

starting 2026 with a full moon in cancer

last year we had a cap new moon on the precipice of moving into the new year, making setting intentions feel auspiscious. but this year we welcome a full moon quickly upon falling into a new calendar on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 in Cancer. asking us for care, consciousness and looking inward. an invitation to consider what is most nutritive for ourselves, our community and our world.

this full moon is NOT manifestation moment. it’s a listening moment. an invitation to turn inward and tap into the deepest knowing you have of yourself.

you are being asked:
what do I need? what have I been neglecting? what aches in me? what yearns in me?

you are being asked to sit in your feral knowing. deep body wisdom.

use January 3rd and the Full Moon as a threshold moment. get quiet. listen. and then, from that place of actually knowing yourself, start the dreaming of what you want for 2026.

practices for 2026 intention and resolution setting

in place of making an insane, maybe unrealistic resolution this year i offer you my system: break the year into four quarters.

maybe you are a corporate girly going Q1 - Q4 or maybe you are witch who relates to time through the soltices and equinoxes and cardinal seasons. choose your fighter and we are gonna pick 4 different goals/resolutions/habits for each piece the year pie.

you could set four different habits, each realistic within a 90 day window. One quarter: walk 10,000 steps daily. Next quarter: make art once a week. Next: study something that matters to you. Next: meditate 10 minutes every day.

ooor if you have one big goal like make a certain amount of money, finish a creative project, shift your health, break it into four distinct quarterly milestones. what needs to happen in Q1 to make Q2 possible? what’s foundation work versus momentum work versus integration work?

i love how this removes the capricorn perfectionism trap, its regenertive building rather than retractive. and it allows for you to change your course and recalibrate. which we all need!

you’re building something sustainable instead of white knuckling it through sheer force of will.

12 month card pull

no matter how much or how little i honor the turning of the “year” this is something i always make space for. it’s simple, you prob have your own version. but if you are looking for a starting point to shift your relationship to starting a year, this is a good place to start. at the start of the year, pull a tarot or oracle card for each month and write it in your planner. review it at the start of each month. it’s not about predicting your future, it’s about giving yourself a gentle, intuitive touchstone.

you’d be surprised how often that card hits exactly what you need exactly when you need it.

quarterly vision boards
listen i used to be a “throw a vision board part in january” type girlie, but honestly the pressure of a year long vision board really gets to me. HOWEVER i love this practice and moving it to a quarterly cadence has been a game changer for me.

did you know our brain doesn’t distinguish between a vivid mental image and actual experience? this is they science behind a vision board… when you look at images that represent your goals, your brain activates the same neural pathways as if you were already living that reality. your reticular activating system (the part that filters what you pay attention to) kicks in, and suddenly you’re noticing opportunities that align with those images. you’re literally rewiring your attention.

the key to your vision board? make it weird. make it personal. pull images that make you feel something in your chest, not images that look good next to each other. incorporate your own drawings, even if they’re messy. write affirmations in your own handwriting. make it feel like it came from you, not from a wellness influencer.

and my personal hack? make it phone sized. you’re going to glance at your phone 400 times a day. make your vision board your lock screen or home screen. every single time you reach for your phone, there’s your intention. that’s literally rewiring your attention in real time.

as you’re creating it, ask yourself: what does success actually look like for me, not for the person i think i should be? what structures do i need to build? what images make my body respond with a yes? that last one is the key. your body knows the difference between what you think you should want and what you actually want.

one more thing about capricorn

the dominant cultural narrative around new year’s resolutions is to set an ambitious goal, achieve it perfectly, or you’ve failed and you’re weak. this is capricorn in its most brittle form. the side that demands excellence and then beats you up for being human. it’s punishment based goal setting, which is a beautiful way to sabotage yourself.

but let us not forget that capricorn is a SEA GOAT. a goddamned magical creature. with a MERMAID tail. not just built to climb the highest mountain alone and perfectly, but also built to frolic and play and swim. and sometimes the frolic (often) gets them to the summit faster than their original plan.

your resolutions are missing the sacred frolic part.

let’s set intentions that have room for play, flexibility, self compassion, and actual life happening. building in forgiveness before you need it, because you will. expect yourself to slip up, miss days, change your mind, evolve. that’s not failure. that’s being human.

your resolutions should be designed for human beings, not robots.

the new year isn’t a switch. it’s a bridge. and you get to decide how you walk across it.

I am sad. I am tired. I am overwhelmed. Yet, I am overjoyed at the quiet promise of winter. I am in awe of my achievements this year despite it all.

Ahhhh, the both/and.

Exactly where one would expect to be on the precipice of a Gemini Full Moon.

This is what it looks like to live through a year like this one. To be shattered and whole. Broken and still standing. To know that grief and joy are not opponents but dance partners.

Full Moons are moments of culmination. The illumination of what was hidden. The revelation of the path from darkness to fullness. Astrologically, a Full Moon is the opposition of the Sun and the Moon, the tension of the story between our luminaries. There’s always a built-in sense of tension in a closing. The moment before the tide shifts.

But this particular Full Moon? You could cut the tension with a butter knife.

Because this Gemini Full Moon on December 4th, 2025, at 4:14 pm MST, squares the Lunar Nodes ex-fucking-actly. And babe, there is some fucking weight to that. There’s an unfolding of what your entire year has been asking you to scry.

A Big Picture Moment

Although at first glance, this moment may feel like an exclamation or maybe an em-dash in your year, it’s actually suuuuuch a big picture moment. It’s a remembering AND a witnessing. It’s a yes/and (like Gemini generally is). It is a moment to connect with your nervous system and remind it what it is capable of. Yet, you’re still here. You’ve moved through it all. The Pisces-Aries tap dance, the major outer planet ingresses, the nodes shifting into Pisces-Virgo, the back and forth and scrub-a-dub-dub of it all.

I invite you back in time two fold (Gemini is a magician and master of duality, so I know you got this) both to the start of 2025 and also to the week of May 26th, 2025 (that Gemini New Moon, when you were planting seeds under Jupiter in Gemini). What has grown full for you in these strides of time? What has EXPANDED?

Considering that both of the times I’m asking you to reach back and touch involved a sky with Jupiter still in Gemini, there is a reflection required (imho) at this moment on the expansion in the Gemini part of our charts and hearts.

This Full Moon feels like a loud holler-back to the Jupiter in Gemini part of this year as it illuminates where you experienced some mega-growth and mega-discomfort (growing pains baby, that’s Jupiters whooooole stihck). With this Full Moon squaring the Lunar Nodes ex-fucking-act-ly, there is something tense in the air. And you know in your gut there’s no quick fix to end it. This is something you must walk through. It will take some time. In fact, it may alter certain courses of your life.

Gemini Play Time

Here is where we get to bring in some of the Gemini tenet of PLAY. We get to access the magic of duality and speak to ourselves across the year.

As we are illuminated in the long night of the end of the Gregorian year, what do you have to say back to 2025-you? The one who started the year uncertain, hopeful, scared? What are you so incredibly in awe of? What obstacles did this you overcome? (CAUSE I KNOW YOU FUCKING DID.) And wow, with such ingenuity!

Witness that YOU. Really see them. And ask them for their words of wisdom to carry towards this next barricade that must be overcome. They know something now that they didn’t know in January. Let them speak it to you.

Gemini moons always feel ABRACADABRA to me. They remind us that our words carry weight and power. That language is spellwork. That the story we tell about our year literally shapes what comes next. So what words, what ABRACADABRA, does the you that has traversed this year have to deliver to the you in this moment?

The Rituals

1: Can I Get A Witness
This is about looking yourself dead in the eye and acknowledging what you actually did this year. Cause it takes work to be our own best witness. In this moment of tension, I invite you to view the duality of self by deeply witnessing yourself.

What You’ll Need:

• A mirror (seriously, you need to see yourself)

• A candle (any color, any size)

• Paper and pen

• Somewhere quiet where you won’t be interrupted

Light your candle. Sit in front of the mirror. Take a breath. Let your nervous system settle for a second.

Look at yourself. Not to critique. Not to judge. Not to see what’s wrong or what needs fixing. To witness.

Now, write down your answers to these questions. Take your time. Let yourself actually think as you answer.

• What obstacles did you overcome this year? (Even the small stuff counts. Especially the small stuff.)

• What are you in awe of about yourself?

• Where did you show up with ingenuity? (What did you figure out? What did you navigate that you didn’t think you could?)

• What about yourself surprised you?

Read what you wrote out loud. Let yourself hear your own words. This is your voice carrying power. This is magick. This is Gemini ABRACADARA shit. Your words about yourself matter. They litcherally shape reality.

Keep what you wrote. Tuck it somewhere safe. Your altar, your journal, your nightstand. You’ll need to remember this when the barricades get real. When you doubt yourself. When you forget what you’re capable of. Let this be your evidence. Bonus points if you voice note the list to yourself to listen to on repeat as needed.

2: The Tending Divination Spread
Pull cards from your fav deck - oracle, tarot, giiirrrrll whatever. My only caveat? Write down what each card means to YOU in this moment, not juuust what some guidebook says.

Card 1: What does my nervous system need at this time?

Card 2: What archetype have I embodied in 2025?

Card 3: How does that archetype support me in THIS current tending and the tension I cannot control?

Card 4: Recommended focus/action/tending for the remainder of 2025

3: Automatic Writing

After that Scorpio New Moon/Mercury Cazimi moment, I’m totally cooked. My emotional capacity feels like a scathing hot bowl of porridge that not only spilled in my lap but all over the freshly cleaned floor. I’m laughing and crying. (Porrige Crew Tap INNNN.)
