Maybe we should all renew our membership if it has lapsed! No more important issue right now.

ACLU reminds us:

• No one can aggressively question you about your citizenship, criminal record or qualifications to vote.

• It’s illegal to display misleading signs about voter fraud or to spread false information about voting requirements.

• It’s against the law for someone to claim that they are an election official.

• If you make a m istake on your ballot you can ask for a new one.

• In many states you can give a sworn statement to the poll worker that you are qualified to vote and then cast your ballot.

• You can report election intimidation to the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE and to your election officials on election day.

“By prohibiting women from obtaining essential medical care when pregnancy poses a severe danger, Idaho contradicts this long tradition and the underlying right to defend oneself from harm…[Idaho’s laws embody] an outlier position that contravenes basic principles of our constitutional order.” - Court Ruling

The judge did not block the part of the state law that prohibits abortion when an embryo or fetus has a life-limiting condition, unless the condition also poses a serious threat to the pregnant person’s health.

Proposition 1 on the Idaho ballot in November hopes to overturn that part of the law as well.
