Hi everyone,

Irene here. With today being Grief Awareness Day, I’ve been taking some quiet time to reflect on how deeply personal, sacred, and unpredictable the journey of loss really is. Grief isn’t something we just “get over” or check off a list; it changes us from the inside out, and learning to walk through it with compassion is at the core of why I created Grief and Rebirth.

Life asks us to practice endings more often than we realize.

Relationships change. Children grow up. Careers end. Identities we once relied upon fall away. Even the person we were a few years ago no longer exists in quite the same way.

Yet many of us were never taught how to move through transition consciously. We’re taught how to achieve, fix, and hold on, but rarely how to release.

Perhaps that’s one reason death can feel so frightening. We’ve been taught to see it as an abrupt ending rather than part of a sacred process we’ve been practicing through life’s many transitions all along.

When you’ve lost a life partner, the world keeps spinning, but your entire reality has fundamentally shifted. It can feel incredibly lonely, and finding people who truly get it—the heavy lifting of the early grief, the strange transition into navigating life solo, and the slow, messy process of rebuilding- is everything to me.

As many of you know, I’m walking this road right alongside you. When I lost my husband, Saul, in that sudden, tragic car accident, my world shattered. But that life-altering event also sparked a profound spiritual awakening in me, one that ultimately led me to create this show and this community, so none of us have to navigate this darkness alone.

Suicide is a topic that carries a lot of weight, and I want to be very mindful of how we bring it into your inbox.

I don’t know exactly what you’re carrying today, or what your personal journey with mental health or loss has looked like. We all have our own unique paths through grief and struggle.
