Waveo TV 2.2.1 is now available, bringing important fixes for Live TV buffering, VOD playback, EPG updates and Trakt episode tracking.

This update also adds a recording button directly to the player controls and improves the speed of backups, restorations and updates.

I strongly recommend installing this update as soon as possible, especially if you have experienced buffering during the first few minutes of a live TV stream.

🔴 Recording Directly from the Player Controls

A new recording button has been added to the player control panel.

You can now start recording live TV more quickly, without opening an additional menu.

The button is available when recording is supported for the current channel and playlist.

📺 Live TV Buffering Fix

This release fixes an issue that could cause excessive or persistent buffering on some live TV channels, particularly during the first few minutes of playback.

Live stream loading and playback stability have also been improved.

If you have noticed channels buffering shortly after starting a stream, please install this update. Affected channels should now start and continue playing more reliably.

🎬 VOD Playback & Passthrough

An issue related to audio passthrough conflicts has been fixed in the VOD player.

This correction improves playback reliability when using passthrough.

🗓️ EPG Updates — Error 461 Fix

An EPG update issue that could return error 461 has been corrected.

This release also improves:

• The reliability of TV Guide data updates

• Error handling when an EPG source temporarily rejects a request

• Handling of interrupted EPG requests

🖼️ Poster Artwork Corrections

Several artwork display issues have been fixed.

Series posters and TV images should no longer be incorrectly cropped on the affected screens.

Poster scaling has also been improved to better preserve the original composition of the images.

Episode tracking with Trakt has received additional stability improvements.

🔔 Sports Event Reminders

You can schedule a notification directly from an event inside the Sports Center.

Waveo will notify you on your phone 10 minutes before the event starts, helping you avoid missing an important match.

Notification permission must be enabled in the settings of the app.

✅ Mark Movies, Series, Seasons and Episodes as Watched

Waveo Mobile can now manage watched content in the same way as Waveo TV.

You can:

• Long-press a movie or series poster

• Use the Watched button from the movie or series details screen

• Long-press a season to mark the entire season as watched

• Long-press an episode to update that specific episode

• Mark any of these items as unwatched again

This provides more accurate progress tracking across your library.

👆 New Contextual Long-Press Menus

Long-pressing content now opens a contextual menu with the actions available for that item.

Depending on the content and current screen, you can:

• Add or remove it from favorites

• Add or remove it from a custom group

• Mark it as watched or unwatched

• Remove it from your history

Long-pressing a group also provides quick access to actions such as renaming, hiding or managing that group.

📺 New TV Guide

A completely redesigned program guide is now used by default.

Its presentation is closer to the Waveo TV guide, providing a clearer overview of channels, programs and schedules.

If you prefer the previous layout, the Classic list remains available from the Live TV settings.

🔊 VOD Audio Synchronization

An audio-delay control has been added to the VOD player.

You can adjust the audio between -2000 ms and +2000 ms when sound and video are not perfectly synchronized.

The selected adjustment is remembered for the content and can be reset at any time.

💬 Subtitle Improvements

Subtitle support and customization have been improved in both players.

You can now personalize:

• Subtitle position

• Font

• Text color

• Opacity

• Background appearance

Available positions include bottom, center, top and a custom position that can be adjusted directly on the screen.

Live TV subtitle handling has also been improved, and the settings menus inside the TV and VOD players now use a clearer presentation.

🔗 Backup Server URLs

Playlists can now use multiple server addresses.

If the active server becomes unavailable, Waveo automatically tries the next address according to your configured priority.

The last working server remains active locally, reducing interruptions when a provider changes or temporarily disables one of its servers.

When the main server address changes, Waveo can also update the EPG address when both use the same server.

🌐 Custom DNS Provider

You can now select the DNS provider used by Waveo Mobile:

• System DNS

• Cloudflare

• Google

• Quad9

The selected provider is used for playlists, updates, program-guide requests and playback connections.

This can help when a provider address cannot be reached correctly through the device’s default DNS configuration.

🔑 Remote Premium Activation

Premium activation can now be managed remotely when you activate a playlist.

Activate your mobile device using:

• The Waveo Companion application

• Your account at waveo.tv/account

This makes activation easier when the device is not physically available or manual code entry is inconvenient.

☁️ Cloud Sync Group Customization

Cloud Sync can now include group organization and customization.

When enabled, Waveo can synchronize:

• Group names

• Group visibility

• Group order

• Custom groups

This helps maintain the same organization between compatible Waveo devices.

💾 Safer Backup and Restore

The backup and restore system has been improved with better validation, compatibility and recovery behavior.

Waveo now performs additional checks before applying restored data. If a restoration cannot be completed safely, the application protects the existing data instead of leaving the library in an incomplete state.

The overall backup and restoration interface has also been refined.

🧪 Experimental Stalker Portal Support

Waveo Mobile now supports Stalker/MAG portal playlists.

A portal can be imported using its server address and MAC address, with additional authentication details when required by the provider.

This feature is still experimental. Compatibility may vary between providers, and some functions may not yet behave exactly like standard M3U or Xtream playlists.

🌐 Server Fallback URLs

Xtream playlists can now use up to four fallback server URLs in addition to their main server.

If the current server becomes unavailable, Waveo can automatically try another configured URL. You can:

• Add, edit, remove, and reorder server URLs

• Define their priority

• See which server worked most recently

• Automatically prioritize the last working server during playback

To configure fallback URLs:

Settings > Playlists & Update > Manage Playlists > Edit playlist > URLs

When changing the main server URL, Waveo TV can also update the EPG URL automatically when it uses the same server path.

This feature can be particularly useful when a provider offers several domains or backup servers.

🛡️ Custom DNS Configuration

Waveo TV can now use a custom DNS provider for playlists, updates, the TV Guide, and playback.

Available choices include:

• System DNS (default)

• Cloudflare

• Google

• Quad9

Changing DNS may help when a provider domain cannot be resolved correctly by the default DNS configured on the device or network.

📡 Experimental Stalker / MAG Support

Waveo TV now supports Stalker and MAG portals.

You can connect using:

• A portal URL

• A MAG/STB MAC address

• Optional username and password

• Optional serial number and device identity

Stalker content is loaded directly from the portal and refreshed on demand.

Please note that this integration is still experimental. Some providers use custom or incomplete implementations, so certain features may not work correctly yet.

Current limitations:

• Recording is unavailable for Stalker channels

• External players may not work because portal authentication must remain attached to the stream

• Some catalogue and catch-up behaviors depend entirely on information supplied by the provider

Catch-up is enabled automatically when the portal announces a compatible archive window.

📺 Smarter TV Guide Navigation

Several new automation options have been added to the full TV Guide and the EPG panel integrated into the player.

Channel preview on focus

Waveo TV can now automatically play a different channel after you keep focus on one of its programs.

You can configure:

• Whether the feature is disabled

• TV Guide only

• Player EPG panel only

• Both TV Guide and player EPG

• Delay before changing channel

This works in both list and grid views.

Automatic fullscreen

When automatic focus playback is enabled, Waveo TV can also switch to fullscreen after a configurable delay.

This lets you browse the guide, pause briefly on a channel, preview it, and then automatically enter fullscreen without pressing OK.

Last channel on TV Guide opening

The last played channel now starts automatically when entering the TV Guide.

This behavior can be disabled from the advanced TV player settings.

Faster remote navigation

Navigation using the remote control’s Channel + / Channel - buttons has been improved, making it faster and more predictable to move through the guide.

🗓️ New EPG Assignment View

Manual EPG assignment now includes a new By EPG view.

Instead of starting from a local channel, you can:

• Browse available EPG channels by source

• Filter them alphabetically

• Search by EPG name or identifier

• Select one or several local channels

• Assign or replace their TVG-ID

The existing By Channel workflow remains available and has also been redesigned.

This new approach is especially useful when you know which EPG entry is correct and there is some mismatch done by the provider.

📝 Custom “Program Unavailable” Placeholder

The default Program unavailable message can now be replaced with:

• The channel name

• Your own custom text

The setting can be applied to:

• One channel

• One group

• The entire playlist

It remains active after automatic and manual EPG updates.

This is useful for channels where the channel name itself is more relevant than an unavailable program message.

⏪ Timeshift & Catch-Up Improvements

Timeshift and catch-up behavior has been improved for more reliable playback and seeking.

This release also fixes several playback issues involving specific audio/video stream combinations and improves fallback behavior when a format cannot be played correctly.

🖼️ Integrated EPG Video Resize

You can now choose whether the current video should be resized when the EPG panel opens inside the TV player.

By default, the video is reduced so it remains fully visible beside the panel. The new option allows users who prefer the previous overlay behavior to disable resizing.

🔎 Return to Search Results

A new optional navigation behavior has been added for channels launched from Global Search.

When enabled:

1. Open a channel from the search results

2. The channel starts in fullscreen

3. Press Back

4. Waveo TV returns to the previous search results instead of returning to the TV Guide

This works as long as you have not switched to another channel during playback.

⭐ All TV Favorites

A new All TV Favorites group is now available in group menus.

It combines favorite channels from all playlists instead of displaying only the favorites belonging to the active playlist.

This makes favorite channels easier to access in multi-playlist setups.

☁️ Cloud Sync Improvements

Cloud Sync has received important stability and reliability improvements.

Version 2.2.0 can now optionally synchronize groups and their customizations between devices, including:

• Group order

• Renamed groups

• Hidden or visible groups

• Custom groups and their contents

Group synchronization can be enabled or paused separately. Disabling it keeps existing local and cloud data.

Both devices should use Waveo TV 2.2.0 or later to synchronize group customizations.

💾 Backup & Restore Redesign

The backup and restoration system has been significantly improved with a clearer interface and safer behavior.

You can now choose between:

• A faster backup without downloaded EPG programs

• A complete backup including EPG programs

Backup destinations now include:

• Downloads, used by default

• A local folder

• A compatible USB storage folder

The restoration screen now displays clear progress stages while reading, checking, and restoring data.

Additional safeguards help preserve existing data if restoration is cancelled or fails, while incompatible items can be skipped instead of blocking the complete restoration.

💬 Subtitle Customization Redesign

Subtitle personalization has been completely redesigned.

In addition to the existing appearance controls, subtitle positioning can now use:

• Bottom centre

• Centre

• Top centre

• Custom position

With the custom option, use the remote control’s D-pad to place subtitles exactly where you want them.

OpenSubtitles also gains a separate option to disable automatic subtitle downloads while keeping OpenSubtitles enabled.
When disabled, subtitles can still be searched for and downloaded manually from the player.

🌊 My Wave in the Main Sidebar

My Wave VOD and My Wave TV can now appear directly in the main sidebar.

Both entries can be hidden through menu customization if you do not want to display them.

My Wave TV has also been added to the available startup-screen choices.

⚡ Start Automatically on Device Wake

Waveo TV can now open automatically when the device wakes from sleep.

Android may require permission to display over other applications for this feature. The option can be disabled at any time and may not be supported by every device manufacturer.

⚙️ Complete Settings Redesign

The Settings menu has been completely reorganized.

4. Choose Add device via QR code

5. Scan the QR code displayed on the TV

The TV is activated automatically after confirmation.

Waveo TV now manages device resources more carefully while playlist or EPG updates are running.

On devices already under heavy load, an update may take slightly longer, but navigation and playback should remain more responsive. Under normal conditions, update times remain similar.

🔄 Trakt Is Now Available on Mobile

Trakt integration has arrived on Waveo Mobile.

You can connect your Trakt account and use it to synchronize movies, series, watchlists and viewing history across Waveo and other compatible applications.

Once connected, Trakt can also provide dedicated sections inside My Wave, including your watchlist, history, watched content, recommendations, trending titles and more.

You can connect and manage your account from:

Settings > Trakt

Trakt requires Premium access.

Important: When Trakt is activated, Waveo Cloud Sync is automatically disabled for VOD if it was previously enabled. This is necessary to avoid conflicts and inconsistent watched or history information between the two synchronization systems.

You can disable the Trakt view again at any time.

⏭️ Skip Intros, Recaps and End Credits with IntroDB

IntroDB support is now available on Waveo Mobile for series episodes.

When IntroDB provides timing information for the episode currently playing, Waveo can display dedicated actions that allow you to:

• Skip the intro

• Skip the recap

• Move directly to the next episode when the end credits begin

• Continue with the next season when appropriate

This makes binge-watching series faster and more comfortable without requiring you to search manually through the playback timeline.

Please note that timing information may not be available for every series or episode. Availability depends on the data provided by IntroDB.

IntroDB actions can be enabled or disabled from the application settings.

✅ Mark Movies, Series, Seasons and Episodes as Watched

Waveo Mobile now includes a complete manual watched-status system.

You can mark several types of content as watched:

• Movies: tap the watched button at the top of the movie details screen.

• Series: tap the watched button at the top of the series details screen.

• Episodes: long-press the episode poster.

• Seasons: long-press the season number.

This is particularly useful when you already watched something outside Waveo or when you want to organize an existing library without replaying the content.

Watched badges are now also displayed on movie and series cards, allowing you to immediately identify completed content while browsing.

📋 New Contextual Menus

New contextual action menus are now available throughout the main Movies, Series and TV screens.

To open one:

• Long-press a movie or series poster.

• Long-press a TV channel card.

Depending on the selected content, the menu may allow you to:

• Add it to a custom group

• Add it to or remove it from favorites

• Add it to or remove it from history

• Download it

• Mark it as watched

• Access other content-specific actions

These menus reduce the number of screens you need to open and make everyday library management much faster.

📺 Vertical TV Group View

Selecting a TV group from the main TV screen can now open its channels in a dedicated vertical view.

This new layout provides a clearer overview of the group and makes it easier to browse large channel lists.

Simply select the desired group to access its complete channel view.

🔎 Expanded Movie and Series Search Results

Search results are now easier to explore.

When a search returns multiple content types, you can select Movies or Series to open all matching results in a dedicated grid.

This gives you more room to browse and avoids limiting the results to the smaller sections displayed on the initial search screen.

⚙️ Settings Shortcuts

A settings button has been added directly to the main TV, Movies and Series screens.

You can now access application settings from the sections you use most frequently, without first returning to the home screen.

⏱️ Episode Auto-Advance Threshold

A new setting lets you choose when Waveo should automatically move to the next episode.

You can adjust the playback threshold according to your preferences, making it possible to continue earlier or wait until more of the current episode has been played.

👁️ Watched Content Threshold

You can now choose how much of a movie or episode must be played before Waveo automatically considers it watched.

This setting gives you more control over your history and prevents partially played content from being marked as completed too early.

💬 Complete Subtitle Appearance Customization

Waveo Mobile now provides detailed subtitle appearance settings.

• Text size

• Font

• Subtitle position

• Text color

• Text opacity

• Background style

• Background opacity

The navigation system between sections inside My Wave has been reworked.

🏟️ Sports (My Wave TV)

A brand new Sports section has been added to My Wave TV to help you easily find upcoming sports events and locate channels in your playlists that may broadcast them.

This section contains 3 tabs:

For Me

• Displays matches and events related to teams/athletes you follow.

Sports

• Browse all upcoming events for the sports of your choice.

Following

• Manage the teams and athletes you want to get next fixtures.

• The “For Me” section is automatically populated based on your selections here.

How it works

Inside both For Me and Sports, click on an upcoming event card to open its details screen.

You will find two tabs:

Channels

• Displays channels found inside your playlists that may broadcast the event.

Broadcasts

• Displays the complete broadcaster list provided by TheSportsDB.

Clicking a broadcaster inside the Broadcasts tab will trigger a deeper channel search inside your playlists, which can help find channels that did not appear in the Channels tab.

Sports Settings

You can customize:

• Sports to display

• Data sources to use

• Which playlists should be searched

• Your own TheSportsDB API key

• And more

Please note:

• This system is not perfect. Missing channels and matching errors can happen.

• There are request limits, so temporary service saturation may occasionally occur.

📝 OpenSubtitles Improvements

OpenSubtitles integration has been reworked.

You can now load the complete list of available subtitles for your selected language and manually choose which subtitle file to use.

To access it:

• Open the subtitles dialog

• Select More Subtitles

📺 External Player Support

You can now open:

• TV replays

• Movies

• Episodes

in an external player already installed on your device.

Simply long-press the content or the Start/Resume button and choose “open in an external player” option.

N.B : MPV is now also supported

🔴 External Recording

It is now possible to record live TV streams directly to external storage devices. Define the storage location from the recording screen.

Some permissions may be requested the first time you use this feature.

🪟 Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Picture-in-Picture support has been added (only for compatible devices).

Disabled by default.

Enable it from:

Settings > Preferences > Player

📡 Projectivy

Added support for:

• Favorite channels

• Channel history

inside Projectivy. You can now start the app and resume from your last/favorites channels

⚙️ More Customization

You can now choose whether to display:

• The update status indicator when an update is running

• The menu bar when it is not focused

N.B: The update status indicator is now also visible inside movie screens and provides more detailed information about the content that is updating.

🎬 VOD

Added a new Grid View inside the groups in now available.

This allows you to browse all content across all groups/content combined without the metadata section displayed.

To enable or disable it: Click the Grid icon in the top-right corner when on the VOD grid
The group “all” layout is now also refined with a better overview of the groups by tabs This provides an easier navigation inside them.

📌 My Wave / Trakt

The My Wave / Trakt hero banner can now automatically change according to the currently focused content.

Enable it from:

Settings > My Wave > My Wave VOD > Banner

Also included:

• New loading animation

• Faster loading times

🔁 EPG / Player Return Improvements

Improved transition speed when returning from the EPG to fullscreen playback.

The previous black flash effect has been removed.

Focus restoration has also been improved when returning from the player to grid/list views.

You can now switch playlists directly from the General Information screen.

This update brings a cleaner interface, more flexible search across playlists, quicker playlist switching, better TV cards in My Wave, new player gestures, theme sharing, and a number of useful fixes and refinements across the app.

Here are the main changes.

New sticky bar layout

The sticky bar has been slightly redesigned.

It is now a bit thinner, and more visually polished, with a more modern overall look than before.

Multi-playlist search

Search is now much more flexible.

You can choose whether you want to display results from:

• one specific playlist

• or all playlists from the same user

This brings the mobile app closer to the TV app experience and makes search much more practical when you use multiple playlists.

Use the icon top right in the search screen to select which playlist results you want to display.

Easier playlist switching

A profile icon has been added directly to the Movies, Series, and TV screens next to the “back” arrow.

This allows you to:

• switch playlist/user in just a couple of taps

• edit a profile more quickly

It makes navigation smoother and avoids going back through multiple screens just to change context.

Improved dialogs in Movies and Series screens

The popup dialogs showing metadata and summaries for movies and series have been redesigned.

They now look cleaner, more modern, and more consistent with the rest of the app.

Better TV channel cards in My Wave

TV channel cards inside My Wave have been improved.

They now show:

• the current program

• the live progress of the broadcast

Their layout has also been changed from vertical cards to horizontal cards, which fits TV content much better and improves readability.

New pinch and drag gestures in the player

New touch gestures have been added to both the VOD player and the TV player.

When the control panel is hidden, you can now:

• pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out

• slide vertically on the left side of the screen to adjust brightness

• slide vertically on the right side of the screen to adjust volume

• slide vertically on the center (or horizontally) to switch to previous/next channel

This makes playback feel much more fluid and natural on mobile devices.

Theme sharing

Theme customization is now more powerful.

You can now:

• share a custom theme with someone else

• load a theme already present on your device

You can perform these actions in Settings > Themes

This is especially useful for unique or custom visual setups.

I will probably open a dedicated Discord channel for theme sharing as well, which could be a nice way for users to exchange their favorite setups.

This update is a big one!
It improves customization, playlist management, channel handling, recording tools, favorites/history browsing, and overall usability across the app.

Here are the main changes.

Themes and selector customization

You can now choose between different 25 app themes and 15 selector styles.

The new default theme is called Wave, but the previous/classic theme is still available if you prefer the old look.

You can find these options here:

Settings > Preferences

Custom groups across all playlists

Custom groups are now much more flexible.

You can now create and edit custom groups and make them available across all playlists in the custom groups interface, instead of keeping them tied to only one.

Favorites and history across all playlists

Favorites and history are no longer limited to a single playlist view.

You can now browse them across all playlists, which makes the experience much more practical if you use multiple sources.

New filtering tabs for favorites and history

Favorites and history now use a cleaner filtering system.

They are now grouped into tabs above the grid, making navigation faster and more intuitive than before.

This makes it easier to switch between different content types without feeling lost in the interface.

New Content Management section

A new section called Content Management has been added here:

Settings > Playlists & Update > Access and content management > Manage contents

This section lets you:

• analyze how much storage is used by each type of content

• decide to keep only certain types of content from a playlist

• clear cache

• perform a smart cleanup

The goal is to give users a clearer overview of what is stored and better control over disk usage as requested a couple of times.

Secondary EPG import via QR code

Importing secondary EPG sources is now also possible via QR code.

This makes the setup process easier and faster, especially when you do not want to type long URLs manually on TV.
To enter an EPG url with your phone, click on “Add via QR code” in the EPG sources screen (Playlist management screen > Edit > EPG Sources) and scan the QR code.

Better actors screen layout

The actors screen has been improved.

Content is now displayed in two separate horizontal rows with a similar look as in the global search:

• movies

• series

This is more consistent with the global search layout and makes actor-based browsing maybe a lil bit easier to read.

Channel actions directly from the EPG

You can now manage channels directly from the EPG contextual menu.

By long-pressing a program from a channel, you can now access actions such as:

• reorder a channel

• hide a channel

• rename a channel

• schedule a recording directly from the same menu

Other options remain in place.

This makes channel management much faster since you no longer need to leave the EPG and go to settings to do these actions.

New My Wave TV section

A new My Wave TV section has been added.

This is separate from the movie/series side, which is now renamed My Wave VOD.

My Wave TV brings together TV-related items such as:

• favorites

• history

• reminders

• scheduled recordings

• ongoing recordings

• completed recordings

New recording screen

A brand new screen dedicated to recordings has been added.

It lets you configure recordings with more control, including:

• channel

• start time

• end time

• margins

• program title

• and more

By default, recordings are saved in the device’s public Downloads folder.

It is not possible to freely choose a local external folder on many modern Android versions because Google now restricts access to this kind of storage permission on Android 11+ unless there is a specifically approved use case.

However, if it’s a problem for you because of storage space on the disk, prefer the SMB recording support which works very well, so you can use a shared folder from your PC or another compatible network location.

N.B : you can plan a recording in My Wave TV but also by long pressing on the program in the live player or in the EPG screen

Prefix / Suffix tools

Prefix and suffix management has been significantly expanded.

You can now:

• add text in bulk

• remove text in bulk

• replace text in bulk

Before applying changes, you can also preview the impact.

An intelligent cleanup feature has also been added. It analyzes channel/group names and suggests what could be cleaned automatically.

Settings > TV Channel Management

Then open the Prefixes / Suffixes tab.

N.B : As you can see on the fourth visual, now you can also change groups back to their original name when needed.

Manual watched/unwatched status

You can now manually mark or unmark movies and series as watched.

This can be done from the contextual menu in general view of movies and series by long-pressing a poster in the grid.

Projectivy launcher integration for VOD

Support for Projectivy channels has been added for VOD.

You can now access things such as:

• favorite content

• resume movie

• resume episode

directly from the launcher.

Dynamic language change

Changing the app language no longer requires a restart.

The change is now applied dynamically, which makes testing and switching languages much smoother.

Stability fixes and technical improvements

This version also includes several important fixes and improvements, including:

• a fix for a major crash affecting some devices when switching screens

• AFR improvements on VOD

• various UI fixes

• text corrections

• general stability work across the app

My Wave improvements

A new My Wave tab has been added to the home screen. It lets you browse content such as:

• trending

• new

• popular

• upcoming

As on TV, this area is based on TMDB data and the app checks whether the movie or series exists in your active playlist (not all!) using the TMDB ID.

My Wave is also now more flexible to browse thanks to:

• a new grid view for favorites, history, recent additions and latest releases

• sorting options refined

• order options (A-Z, date added, ascending, descending)

Better sorting and navigation

Sorting and order behavior has been improved across movies, series and TV sections. It is now remembered.

• In group view, sorting applies to groups

• In filtered views (after entering a group), sorting applies to the actual content (films/series)

This makes navigation more consistent and easier to understand. More discovery features Version 2.0.2 adds several new ways to find content more easily:

• actor search ==> In the global search screen

• cast sections ==> In the details screen of a movie/serie

• similar titles ==> In the details screen of a movie/serie

• “In this playlist” section ==> In the details screen of a movie/serie

N.B: The actor search relies on TMDB matching, so if some results are missing, it usually means the provider did not include the proper TMDB data for that content. Personalization Like on the TV app, new font choices have been added to the mobile app. The default app font has also been changed.

1. Player and playback fixes This version also includes a few playback-related fixes and improvements:

   • fixed a PiP-related bug

   • fixed a rotation issue when going back while playing content in landscape mode: the app now correctly stays in landscape instead of switching back to portrait

   • A default trailer player can now be selected when supported on the device (for example SmartTube)

   Updates and diagnostics The update system has been improved, and update notifications should now work properly when enabled. A new Connection diagnostics section has also been added to help check:

   • playlist authentication

   • connection stability with the provider

   Other improvements This update also includes:

   • layout improvements

   • text adjustments

   • various UI refinements

   • general polish across the app
