I personally like adding the mint per serving because it keeps that fresh, cooling flavor instead of letting the mint become overpowering in the entire pitcher.

This recipe took some testing, y’all! I didn’t get the grapefruit flavor right on the first try. I kept adjusting the timing, the amount of grapefruit, the sweetness, and the herbs until I finally got a blend that tasted the way I wanted it to. And once I got it right, of course I had to share it with my Tea Family. 🍊🌿

Now, I know almost 30 minutes sounds like a long time to make a cup of tea, but remember, I’m usually making big pitchers for the week, not just one cup. If you’re making a single serving, you can scale the recipe down and adjust the brewing time instead of making a whole pitcher.

Why I Created This Blend 🍵

A Little Tea Talk 🍇

I was really in the lab with this one! I’ve been loving Cotton Candy grapes this summer, so I thought, why not pair them with some of my favorite herbal teas? It turned out even better than I expected.

The tea is naturally sweet, but the Cotton Candy grape flavor isn’t overpowering. The herbs and water mellow it out, leaving a light sweet-and-tangy taste that’s super refreshing. I love using grapes in my recipes because they’re affordable, naturally sweet, and packed with antioxidants that pair beautifully with mineral-rich herbs.

Most of my recipes are inspired by my wellness goal, my mood, or simply the flavor I’m craving. This one started as a fun experiment

☕ Lola’s Tea Talk

Today’s tea was inspired by the disappointment of a strawberry basil tea I ordered at a restaurant. It was my first time trying basil in tea now I do love it in spaghetti, but I’d never thought to brew it! After learning that basil is traditionally used to support the body’s natural inflammatory response, especially for joint health, I knew I wanted to create my own version.

I picked up fresh basil from Walmart, washed it well, and intentionally paired it with herbs that complement my wellness goals. The strawberries weren’t just for flavor I knew to pair them with basil to add natural sweetness, hydration, and antioxidants that help balance basil’s earthy taste.

The difference was immediate. My homemade version was fresh, flavorful, and made with ingredients chosen for a purpose. The restaurant tea, on the other hand, tasted watered down, loaded with sugar, and left me thirstier than before.
