As many of you know, I am currently navigating a housing transition while working to stabilize after a particularly difficult year ⛰️

Throughout this process, I have continued developing educational resources and community programming rooted in collective well-being 💚🤲

At this time, I am seeking support with immediate housing-related expenses for myself and my small dog Peanut 🐾, including:
• temporary lodging
• application fees

• move-in costs

💡My current circumstances reflect challenges that many community educators, artists, healers, and culture-builders face when meaningful work is not matched by equitable access to resources.

One thing that can happen in ceremony and ritual, as many of you may already know, is that you learn how to set something down for a little while — so you can return to it with deeper appreciation 🍔

Recently, I’ve been in that kind of pause.

And now, as I slowly re-enter community in a new way, every gesture of exchange feels more sacred, more alive — because I’m here to actually experience it.

(Oh blueberries! Oh bubblies! Oh bananas 🍌🤤)

I also feel increasingly aware of how many beings — seen and unseen, human and more-than-human — are participating in this unfolding of healing and evolution 🌎🪽

Recently, I’ve been learning so much about patterns of scarcity.

Siblings… you cannot unsee the 💩😳

More and more, I feel myself shifting out of linear “constant progress” energy 📈
and into something more cyclical and alive 🌙🌊

As I soften out of survival-based fear patterns, I find myself remembering life as movement — not urgency, not disappearance, not constant proving… but rhythms.

I recently realized that I produced a multimedia show called First Breath in Missoula, Montana at exactly this time of year in May 2011 🌿🎭
This show initiated my descent into intergenerational shame, yo!

Cycles upon cycles 🌀

This week, we’ll be working on:

We have just completed an introductory embodiment video for our practice series 🎥

This morning, I don’t feel especially resourced.
I didn’t sleep well. My body feels a little off. There are parts of me that want things to be easier than they are right now 🫠

And this—this right here—is where embodiment begins 🌱

Not when everything is clear and perfectly aligned.
Not when you’ve created the ideal environment with candles and music and uninterrupted time 🕯️

But in the middle of your actual life.

Embodiment, in this work, is not performance.

It’s not about looking grounded.
It’s not about getting it “right.”
It’s not about becoming some perfected version of yourself.

Embodiment is the practice of staying in relationship with your body as it is, while staying in relationship with the world around you.

Even when it’s uncomfortable.
Even when you’d rather check out.
Even when nothing is resolving quickly.

Many of us were never taught how to do this.

When shame moves through the body, we often hide, rage, or disconnect 🫥
When scarcity moves through the body, we grasp, rush, or try to control 😣

Both are intelligent responses.
Neither are wrong.

But when they run unconsciously, they shape our relationships, our choices, and the systems we participate in.

Embodiment begins to gently interrupt patterns—not by force, but by presence 🩵

These are simple practices. You can do them anywhere:

While sitting in your car 🚗
While standing in line 🧍
While lying in bed 🛏️
While watching TV 📺
While scrolling your phone 📱

Embodiment Practice: Staying With Yourself 🥳

Pause, just slightly.

Notice your body—not as an idea, but as sensation.

What is here right now?
Tightness? Warmth? Buzzing? Numbness?

You don’t need to change it.
You don’t need to understand it.

Just name one thing you notice.

Take a breath—not to fix anything, but to stay present 🌬️

If it feels supportive, you could place a hand somewhere on your body 🤲
Or you could move or stretch gently 🧘

Stay with your body for 30 seconds. Maybe a minute.

And then continue your day.

That’s it ✨

This practice may feel almost too simple.
But over time, it builds something profound:

The capacity to remain with yourself
instead of abandoning yourself 💛

The capacity to feel and move energy
without immediately reacting 🌊

The capacity to be in relationship
without using others to escape your own internal experience 🤝

These small moments of embodiment are happening in real time—inside conversations, decisions, conflicts, and moments of care.

This is accessible to any body, at any time 🌈

As we move into the next teachings—on shame and on scarcity—these practices become foundational.

I’m building and sharing this work in real time.

You’re welcome to move at your own pace.
Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t.

And if you’re practicing in even the smallest way—
you’re already participating in something real and loving 💞

💭 I love the questions, y’all, and I’m in them with you:

Where in your life are you reaching for something… not because it nourishes you, but because it helps you avoid something? 🤔
What do you turn to when you don’t feel safe in your own body? 🫶
Can you feel the difference between something that soothes you… and something that disconnects you? 🌊

When I talk about addiction, I mean any pattern we return to that helps us not feel — work, relationships, substances, social media, etc. — even when it costs us something 🔄

Discernment matters. Especially right now. 🛡️

A dear friend recently reminded me of that ⚡
We are not all in the same place on Planet Earth 🌍
Not in awareness, not in capacity, not in what we’re able to feel or face.

We cannot caretake others into evolution ⚠️
People develop accountability in cycles — over time, over generations 🌀

This is not about anyone being better than anyone else.
It has to do with what we’ve each lived through — personally, culturally, and historically 🌿

Differentiation may be important and difficult work over the next several months, and 🌅 FBF is here to help!

🌅 The First Breath Framework is an orientation and exploration away from harm, and toward repair 🌬️🤝
It has emerged through my body in collaboration with communities across the world 💙

🌅 FBF was created on the sacred lands of the Seliš, Nimiipuu, Ktunaxa, Ql̓ispé, Niitsitapi, Apsáalooke, Chippewa Cree, Cheyenne, and surrounding Indigenous communities 🪶🌎

We honor the peoples, lineages, stories, songs, sacrifices, ancestors, and lands that have shaped and influenced this work 🙏💛

Repair can only happen in relationship 💞

One of my teachers, Alberto Ruz Buenfil, and La Caravana Arcoíris por la Paz 🌈, shared teachings about las cuatro razas.

I now speak of four major global lineages:
🌍 Indigenous / Aboriginal
🌍 African / Afro-descendant
🌍 Asian / Pacific Islander
🌍 European / Euro-descendant

Colonization has separated these lineages, fragmenting knowledge, relationship, and understanding 💔
We are still living inside the effects of that fragmentation 😢

What if these lineages deeply need one another —
to remember, survive, grow, and reclaim our place as planetary and cosmic citizens? 🌌

What if we need one another to say no to harm on Earth 🚫
and to co-create new systems rooted in care? 💚🌎

Scarcity & shame impact how we communicate.
They narrow our capacity.
They can make urgency and bypass feel like truth.

I see that more clearly now, as these patterns have been released through my system.

🌿 I’m feeling:

• more grounded

• more honest & discerning

• more connected to the multiverse & ancestors

• more connected to the energies of creation & renewal

• funnier 🍑

• tired

There’s still a long way to go.
But I’m here and I’m learning.
I’m open to receiving feedback from folks who are committed to ending harm.

There is no supremacy here.

On Ending Harm 🧡

Our shared intention going forward is simple
(and not simple at all):

• to reduce harm

• to stop harming one another

This is not just global —
this is cosmic 🌌

Many beings, across many layers of existence,
are participating in this shift.

We are turning toward:

• care

• accountability

• relationship

At different times.
At different capacities.

🧭 On the Four Directions

One of my early teachers, Alberto Ruz Buenfil de México, shared teachings in La Caravana Arcoiris por la Paz about the four directions. 🌈

Across many cultures, we return to:

• North

• South

• East

• West

as something stable and orienting.

These directions can also be connected —
in an approximate and non-rigid way —
to four major cultural lineages of humanity:

• Asian

• African

• Indigenous

• European

Not as fixed identities.
Not as hierarchy.

But as a way of acknowledging broad human roots and migrations. ⭕️

All of us are mixtures.
All of us are part of a much larger human and cosmic story. 🌌

I hold this teaching with respect and humility —
as one way of staying oriented
to the Earth, and to each other 🌍

White supremacy has caused immense harm on this planet. 😢
I have witnessed and experienced its reach, its depth, and its trickery.

And I have also experienced harm and projection across all groups.

So I hold these truths together:

🌸 Harm exists across all groups
🌸 No body or culture is inherently superior
🌸 Healing is relational and ongoing

🌸 Compassion without discernment → self-harm
🌸 Discernment without compassion → disconnection
We need both.

🌱 Questions for reflection

• Where am I caretaking/allowing harm towards myself or others?

• Where am I bypassing my body?

• Where am I cut off from my own needs?

• What do I actually need?

🌅 FBF is emergent and seeks to decentralize power within organizational structures.

This work is rooted in an understanding that systems of supremacy—particularly white supremacy—continue to shape harm across our communities, and require ongoing attention, accountability, and transformation. 🌀

As a white-bodied facilitator, I am committed to not centering myself in this work. My intention is to step back, support, and help create space—while also being available for reflection and accountability, especially with white participants navigating decolonization.

We’ll begin today by connecting with both the land beneath us and the ancestors who made our lives possible.
Ancestors may be human or more-than-human—known or unknown—from our bloodlines, our cultural lineages, our chosen families, the world, the other world, and the cosmos.

When we connect with the land and our ancestors, we can remember that we belong. 🌍

This connection is not only spiritual and energetic—it’s psychobiological, a term we will be learning more about.
Our nervous systems are shaped by the places, the land, the languages, and the relationships we come from.

If it feels comfortable for you, wherever you are, wherever you come from, in whatever way that feels good to you—let us take a moment to honor the land where we live, and honor our ancestors.

🌎 Reconnection with the Land, Ancestors & Cosmos

We are all inextricably, absolutely, a part of a collective and interconnected whole.

Humanity is currently living inside of a hallucination—an illusion of separation, an embodied delusion—created by the forces of colonization.
This delusion creates deep disconnection from one another, the land, our ancestors, and the cosmos.

Humanity has projected its lust for war onto the rest of the universe—like in Star Wars. ✨
I’m just curious… could there be significant benevolence in this universe?
Perhaps evil and war are not the norms. 👿
Could it be that we are cut off from a vast, interconnected, intergalactic Star Fleet—all because of colonization?
Is this really what we want?

🪶 Humility, Entitlement & Planetary Stewardship

Disconnection from the Earth—and from our own deepest needs—is an underbelly of entitlement.

Entitlement often assumes privilege without doing the work of being in direct relationship with the land, water, food, housing, and waste.
The body and soul actually need direct relationship.

They need connection with the land—harvesting food, honoring water, learning where our housing materials come from, and composting. 🌱

Entitlement harms both the human spirit and the planet.
Growing humility and honor, and learning how to work with the land, are essential to becoming planetary stewards.

Perhaps we are not entitled to dominate this planet 🤔

🌾 Inquiry One — Remembering the Land

Where does belonging live in your body right now?
What happens when you imagine the land breathing with you and holding you? 🌬️
Can you sense how your body’s history connects with the Earth’s body?

🌍 Practice One — Acknowledging the Earth

Go outside if possible, or place your hands on the ground or a plant. 🌿
Notice temperature, sound, texture.
Listen.
Stay for several breaths, or as long as it takes to honor the land.

It’s been keeping me grounded and calm in a way I haven’t felt for a minute.

Everything is going to be okay.
Everyone is going to be okay.

Not because the world is gentle right now—it isn’t.
But because there is a long run.
We are not living at the end of the story — we have a long history and future.

The Earth takes care of everybody.
She does not punish—she transforms. ⛰️

🤓 Okie ~ Dorky spiritual science moment (with my buddy Kai the AI 😄) ~
I’ve been sitting with the realization that there are two major inherited trauma patterns that live in the human body and psyche: shame and scarcity.

Shame = the wound of being.
It forms when harm happens and accountability or repair does not.
Its message is:
“I am bad. Something is inherently wrong with me.
Something is inherently wrong with them.”

Shame compounds over generations when harm is hidden or denied—often creating secrecy, lying, and disconnection 🫥💔

Scarcity = the wound of having.
It is fear-based 😰
It forms when people don’t have enough—materially, relationally, or emotionally.
Its message is:
“There isn’t enough… and I am not enough.”

Scarcity compounds when systems steal, extract, hoard, and pit us against one another in competition for basic needs, safety, and belonging.

Shame and scarcity are not personal failures.
They are necessary ingredients for the perpetuation of harmful systems 😎

At their root, shame and scarcity arise when we violate some very old relational laws of life:

💛 Do not kill without necessity or consent
🗣️ Do not lie or betray
🤲 Do not steal or hoard
🫶 Love your neighbor as yourself

Healing shame & scarcity happens when we remember:
🌈 I am inherently worthy of repair, self-expression, and loving relationships.
🌾 I am enough. There is enough. We have enough. We belong. 💞

🌱 Gentle inquiry (choose one or sit with several)
Where do I notice shame living in my body? What does it ask of me?
Where do I notice scarcity shaping my choices—especially around rest, money, or belonging?
What would repair feel like if I truly believed I was worthy of it?
Where in my life am I already enough as I am?
What kind of community helps me feel safer telling the truth? What kind of community helps me feel safer being my authentic self?

Últimamente, mientras he estado sanando y reconectando con mis linajes, me ha acompañado una voz interior constante.
Me ha mantenido enraizada y tranquila de una manera que no sentía desde hace un tiempo.

Todo va a estar bien.
Todxs vamos a estar bien.

No porque el mundo sea gentil en este momento—no lo es.
Sino porque existe un largo recorrido.
No estamos viviendo al final de la historia—tenemos un largo pasado y un largo futuro.

La Tierra cuida de todxs.
Ella no castiga—ella transforma. ⛰️

🤓 Momento de ciencia espiritual dorky (con mi amigx Kai, la IA 😄)
He estado reflexionando sobre la idea de que existen dos grandes patrones de trauma heredado que viven en el cuerpo y la psique humana: la vergüenza y la escasez.

Vergüenza = la herida del ser.
Se forma cuando ocurre un daño y no hay responsabilidad ni reparación.
Su mensaje es:
“Soy malx. Hay algo inherentemente mal en mí.
Hay algo inherentemente mal en ellxs.”

La vergüenza se acumula a lo largo de generaciones cuando el daño se oculta o se niega, creando a menudo secreto, mentira y desconexión 🫥💔

Escasez = la herida del tener.
Está basada en el miedo 😰
Se forma cuando las personas no tienen suficiente—material, relacional o emocionalmente.
Su mensaje es:
“No hay suficiente… y yo no soy suficiente.”

La escasez se profundiza cuando los sistemas roban, extraen, acaparan y nos enfrentan entre nosotrxs en competencia por necesidades básicas, seguridad y pertenencia.

La vergüenza y la escasez no son fallas personales.

Seven Realms of Reconnection are companion teachings to the 🌅 First Breath Framework / Marco del Primer Aliento (FBF/MPA) — a living guide for creating new global systems rooted in care, equity, abundance, and belonging.

🌈 7 Realms weaves storytelling, liberation teachings, inquiry, and embodied practices to help us remember our interconnection, release shame and fear, and reclaim belonging with one another, the Earth, and the cosmos.

🌳 On Reciprocity

Over the past five months, I experienced significant harm and required space and time to heal. I am now in a long-term healing process that has shifted my boundaries and relational needs. ❤️‍🩹

At this time, I have limited capacity.

🔁 Reciprocity is about equity, consent, care, and regeneration. I am not engaging in relationships or ongoing dialogue—particularly in middle-class contexts—where reciprocity is absent and emotional labor is expected without support.

These extractive patterns cause real harm to people living in poverty and to the Earth itself. I will speak more about this in future teachings. 🌍

I am requesting intentional reciprocity for the experience, wisdom, care, and labor I bring into the world.

🌾 Forms of reciprocity currently welcome include: financial support, food, listening, bodywork, shared care, housing support, clothing, or other offerings—given with integrity and consent.

A loving reminder: we can’t take it with us. 💰❤️

🧿 Boundaries & Renewal

🌳 I am a practitioner and educator in liberation and healing. My life and work are oriented toward ending harm. Because of this, I am no longer available for emotional extraction, caretaking dynamics, gaslighting, or minimizing lived experience. Healing requires listening to impact, feeling our feelings, and speaking honestly in order to be free 🫶.

I ask that people learn to take responsibility for their own suffering rather than projecting it onto me (or others). This is part of moving out of ignorance and entitlement and into our shared humanity 💕🌍.

I will not process personal experiences without clear consent. I am intentional about capacity, reciprocity, and care as action—not assumption . I will not engage with people or dynamics I experience as unsafe, including narcissistic or performative care patterns. More on this in future teachings.

🌱 Reflections

Processing pain, grief, and relational rupture is not as impossible as we’ve been taught, y’all. What makes it frightening is how deeply we’ve been conditioned to choose comfort over truth and avoidance over feeling.

🐢 When we slow down enough to feel and tend what’s been carried, the process can be clarifying and connective—reconnecting us to our ancestors, one another, and the living Earth, our shared home.

🏛️ What made this recent period so heavy was not feeling itself, but systems rooted in domination, colonization, and disconnection. These systems teach us to deny impact, bypass responsibility, and pretend that suffering—our own or others’—is not real. This patterning is especially strong in white-bodied people due to the collective delusion of white supremacy.

Now I feel more connected to my ancestors.
Now I am not unconsciously powered by intergenerational shame or scarcity.
Now I understand more deeply what my BIPOC siblings have been naming all along.

We cannot heal—individually or collectively—by pretending harm isn’t real.
This is not about blame.
It is about liberation and choosing life together. 🐣

I hold no animosity toward anyone—I am choosing alignment. 💛

As a grounding touchstone, I hold close the words attributed to Jesus Cristo:
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

Here, meek does not mean weak or passive. It refers to non-dominating, non-extractive ways of being—strength rooted in humility, care, and right relationship rather than force or hoarding. This teaching points toward liberation, not obedience to empire. 🌱

🌳 Sobre la reciprocidad

🧿 Límites y renovación
🌳 Soy practicante y educadora en liberación y sanación. Mi vida y mi trabajo están orientados a terminar con el daño. Por ello, ya no estoy disponible para la extracción emocional, dinámicas de sobrecarga de cuidado, gaslighting o la minimización de la experiencia vivida. La sanación requiere escuchar el impacto, sentir lo que sentimos y hablar con honestidad para poder ser libres 🫶.

Pido que las personas aprendan a responsabilizarse de su propio sufrimiento en lugar de proyectarlo sobre mí (o sobre otrxs). Esto forma parte de salir de la ignorancia y el sentido de derecho, y entrar en nuestra humanidad compartida 💕🌍.

No proceso experiencias personales sin consentimiento claro. Soy intencional con la capacidad, la reciprocidad y el cuidado como acción—no como suposición. No me involucro con personas o dinámicas que experimento como inseguras, incluidas formas de cuidado narcisista o performativo. Habrá más sobre esto en futuras enseñanzas.

🌱 Reflexiones
Procesar el dolor, el duelo y las rupturas relacionales no es tan imposible como nos han enseñado. Lo que lo vuelve aterrador es cuán profundamente hemos sido condicionadxs a elegir la comodidad por encima de la verdad y la evitación por encima del sentir.

🐢 Cuando desaceleramos lo suficiente para sentir y atender lo que ha sido cargado, el proceso puede ser clarificador y conectivo—reconectándonos con nuestrxs ancestrxs, entre nosotrxs y con la Tierra viva, nuestro hogar compartido.

🏛️ Lo que hizo este periodo reciente tan pesado no fue el sentir en sí, sino los sistemas enraizados en la dominación, la colonización y la desconexión. Estos sistemas nos enseñan a negar el impacto, eludir la responsabilidad y fingir que el sufrimiento—propio o ajeno—no es real. Este patrón es especialmente fuerte en personas de cuerpo blanco debido a la ilusión colectiva de la supremacía blanca.

Ahora me siento más conectada con mis ancestrxs.
Ahora no estoy inconscientemente impulsada por la vergüenza o la escasez intergeneracional.
Ahora comprendo más profundamente lo que mis hermanxs BIPOC han estado nombrando desde hace tiempo.

No podemos sanar—ni individual ni colectivamente—pretendiendo que el daño no es real.
Esto no se trata de culpa.
Se trata de liberación y de elegir la vida juntxs 🐣.

No guardo animosidad hacia nadie—estoy eligiendo alineación 💛.

Como anclaje, sostengo cerca las palabras atribuidas a Jesucristo:
“Bienaventurados los mansos, porque ellos heredarán la tierra.”

Aquí, manso no significa débil ni pasivo. Se refiere a formas de ser no dominantes y no extractivas—una fortaleza enraizada en la humildad, el cuidado y la relación correcta, en lugar de la fuerza o el acaparamiento. Esta enseñanza apunta hacia la liberación, no hacia la obediencia al imperio 🌱.
