Venus moving into her pre-retrograde shadow period. Sun and Earth in gates 40-37, then 64-63. Mars squares Saturn on Tuesday, which tends to feel like an urge to push, fix, decide, get it over with. On the very same day, Jupiter trines Saturn for the first of three times…

Whenever someone tells me the way a thing has to be done, I end up doing close to the opposite, and it works. Magically, sometimes. It still surprises me.

In June I celebrated 8 years in my business, and 8 years building an online presence and brand as a Projector. Which truly is a radical thing, if I’m being honest.

Because so much of what I’ve learnt to do has gone against traditional, mainstream advice. I’ve had my moments of following the script, and more often than not I’ve then had to recover from it. Always a lesson. But mostly, these eight years have been me building the capacity to trust myself, my design and my energy in business, long before I had any real evidence that it would work.

I have the life theme of Prevention, and I’ve come to accept that my way will always be to go to the edges, learn the lessons, and then share them with you so you don’t have to take the same long and winding paths that I do.

So here they are. The most pertinent (and also unconventional) lessons I learned along the way. The ones I’d share with you over a cuppa if we were meeting IRL.

Presence is the strategy most people overlook. Working on my presence and the energy I bring into everything I create has done more for this business than perfect CTAs or zero typos ever could.

The more I withdraw my attention from the people and places that aren’t right for me, professionally and personally, the more recognition, invitations, and resources I receive.

A business that sustains itself even when I’m offline, resting, or away isn’t optional for my design. It’s essential. This one has been huge, and it’s such a relief to know we have systems and support in place so I can fully withdraw my energy from the business whenever I want to.

My brand can be both authentic AND curated. Not oversharing as a marketing tactic, even when it was popular to do so, has been one of the smartest decisions for my business and personal life.

Trusting what I know feels right for me over what the industry told me I had to do. This is purely because I know and live my design. When everyone was screaming that reels were the only way to grow on Instagram, I knuckled down and kept creating the way that worked best for me: carousels. And it worked. And it was sustainable for me.

Standards are essential. Honouring my standards as non-negotiables instead of luxuries changed everything, personally and professionally.

My systems are my top priority. The more I master my systems and focus on my craft and skills, the more magnetic my energy becomes. It took me years to understand that the systems were the work, not the admin around the work.

Deconditioning is the precursor to success. The more intimate I became with my Not-Self, and the stories, patterns, and behaviours keeping me stuck and distracted, the more growth and success I experienced. It’s an uncomfortable and unsexy process, and it’s where all of it actually happens.

Precision and potency are everything for Projectors. The more precise I become with my output, the more my work, voice and vision land with my people. Less is more. Working smarter, not harder. These aren’t nice-to-haves for Projectors; they’re the whole game for us.

Accepting that I am not for everyone. The more I focused on my work being potent, powerful and precise, and made it for specific people rather than for everyone, the more everything opened up. It stung a little at first. Now it's the most freeing thing I know.

Atmosphere creates trust. Focusing on building a brand with atmosphere, a frequency people feel, not just colours and imagery, is the thing I receive the most feedback about.

Just because someone’s brand feels louder doesn’t mean it’s more coherent. Volume is not the same as truth. Real presence and embodied truth don’t need to shout.

Learning to watch Generators and Mani Gens move at their pace, without letting it trigger panic or competition in my system, has been one of the most liberating skills I’ve cultivated. Their speed is not my standard.

Timelessness compounds. Trends expire. Focusing on being timeless and building trust, reliability, and depth has done more for my brand than trying to be trendy or following trends ever could. (Can you tell I’m dominant in individual circuitry, lol.)

My brand can be soft AND powerful. Because I am soft AND powerful. It’s not this or, it’s this and.

The second eclipse of the season and the last eclipse in Pisces for many years, we’re closing a chapter that began in September 2024.

It falls on Gate 55, the most emotionally volatile gate in Human Design, the gate where abundance was only ever a question of spirit.

And it arrives just after Mercury joins the Sun in Virgo, and in a square to Uranus in Gemini.

In this audio, I talk through what this final Pisces eclipse is asking of us. The area of your chart it’s completing, and how to find it. The highs and lows of the 55, and why your moods this week are giving you data rather than problems to solve. Every course. Every mastermind, every workplace. The pace was set by sacral beings and you adapted, because that’s what we learn to do. I did it for years too. You get good at making their hours look natural on you. You learn to justify your energetic capacity. And underneath all that adapting, most of us end up running a business built on someone else’s blueprint, wondering why it costs so much to keep going…

So. This week I opened the doors to the room I’ve wished existed eight years ago when I started doing this work. The room that I have spent eight years preparing for, through my own business and client work.

Why Now?

If you’ve spent time in Human Design, you’ve likely heard about 2027. The end of a global cycle that has run for over 400 years, and the beginning of a new one. A new paradigm, arriving whether we’re ready or not.

You don’t need to hold it as prophecy. Look around. The structures that organised work, authority and credibility are visibly coming apart. The ladder is gone. The institutions are wobbling. Everyone can feel that the old way of working is ending, whether or not they have language for it.

And when old structures dissolve, people don’t reach for more output. They reach for direction. Perspective. Someone who can see the whole board and say: this way.

That is the Projector’s role in what comes next. It’s the function you were designed to perform, arriving at the exact moment in history that calls for it.

You already know what you are. You’ve done the reading, felt the relief, learned the language. But recognising your design is not the same as building a livelihood on it…

Almost nobody teaches the next part: how to turn your capacity to guide into a business that pays you well and holds your energy. The era ahead will be full of people looking for exactly what you carry. The question is whether your guidance is structured, visible, and priced so they can find you and pay you for it.

A Projector with a coherent business, a resonant brand, and command of her own energy enters that era in position. A Projector still grinding through someone else’s model enters it exhausted, her gift buried under her workload. The role is already yours. What’s left is to build the structure that lets you be paid for it.

The friend who reads people almost too accurately, who’s tired in a way rest never seems to fix. The sister who is brilliant at her craft, and somehow still overlooked. Normally the new moon is our time for planting seeds and setting intentions. An eclipse asks something different of us. Eclipses are volatile and unstable, and they serve as evolutionary accelerators, ushering us away from what we’ve outgrown and towards what we need to learn next. During a solar eclipse, the moon passes in front of the sun and its light is temporarily obstructed, then renewed. I keep coming back to that image… Our conscious identity goes dark for a moment, and what returns with the light is often the insight we’ve been needing.

So rather than intention setting, treat this portal as an invitation into presence. Pay attention.

This eclipse carries some extra weight, too. The nodes have just moved into Leo and Aquarius, where they’ll journey for the next 18 months, and this eclipse is one of the first on the new axis. It opens the chapter. It also falls on the south node, which speaks to our past, where we’ve been, and what we’ve outgrown. South node eclipses help us see the behaviours, beliefs and patterns we’re ready to move beyond.

If you want a feel for what this might touch in your life, look back. The last time the eclipses worked this axis was 2016 through early 2019. What was ending for you then? What identity were you shedding? Similar themes tend to spiral around again. Your own history is some of the best data you have.

In Human Design, this eclipse takes place in Gate 4, the gate of answers. Gate 4 is a mental gate, brilliant at logic, pattern recognition and evidence, and endlessly hungry to know. In the Gene Keys, Richard Rudd names its shadow as intolerance, an intolerance that lives in the mind. In the shadow, we can’t tolerate not knowing. We can’t tolerate mystery, or discomfort, or our own intuition. We need a reason for everything.

“As long as you buy into the reason game, you’re a reasonable person. The moment you question reason, you become unreasonable.” — Richard Rudd

The gift of this gene key is understanding. And understanding doesn’t arrive through the mind, it arrives through the heart. As Rudd writes:

“Your mind cannot give you the answers that you’re seeking. It can’t tell you what to eat, where to live, whom to love, what to do, anything.”

The mind can gather data, but true knowing is a different thing. Knowing comes through the heart, the body, your authority. Embodied understanding.

Fitting, for an eclipse. The light goes dark, and what returns with it is understanding…

In Leo, all of this centres on expression and being seen. The journey of Leo is cultivating the courage to be seen for who you really are, and in that process, empowering others to do the same.

I love that Leo is the only sign ruled by a star. The sun doesn’t shine for its own benefit. Its light gives life to every planet in its orbit. Your light doesn’t take anything from anyone. It gives life.

So this eclipse invites us to see and release whatever has us outsourcing our authority to knowledge and data over inner understanding. Compromising on our true path for what feels safe, logical and reasonable. Dimming our light to conform, or to keep others comfortable.

And my sense is that over this next solar cycle, we’ll watch more and more people developing the courage to listen to their inner understanding. To follow the path that feels true, even when it makes no sense on paper. To be themselves, take up space, and shine their light.

On a collective level, Leo is the sign of the sovereign, and eclipses here have long been associated with challenges for leaders and those in power. With the south node involved, we’re likely to see old models of leadership and ego-led power being reviewed and released, part of the larger recalibration we’re moving through on the road to 2027.

Mundane astrology also tells us an eclipse expresses most strongly where it’s visible. The path of totality crosses Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain, with a deep partial eclipse across most of Europe, so these are regions to watch as the themes unfold. Hold it all loosely. Collective transits describe weather, never fate.

Personally, you’ll feel this eclipse most strongly if you have planets between 17 and 23 degrees of the fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio), and then the fire signs. Look to the house Leo rules in your chart to see which area of life is under review. The themes will keep unfolding over the coming months, so jot down what arises this week. It’s good data.

This is also why I’ll forever point you back to your own chart. Self-understanding is the best way to navigate big astrology like this. When you know your design, the transits stop being something that happens to you and become information you can actually work with. And please know, there is nothing you need to do with this eclipse. No rituals, no manifesting. Eclipse weeks can leave us all feeling a bit stretched and short-fused, so keep your calendar light if you can. Rest, eat well, touch the earth, and give everyone (including yourself) a tonne of grace. If an area of life feels crunchy right now, it’s showing you something. Being present with yourself, your life and what you feel is enough.

I’ll leave you with one more quote from Richard Rudd, because it captures where all of this is leading us:

“Happiness never comes through answers. It comes only when you’re so tired of answers and you just decide to live the questions fully. Then your life radiates the answer.”

But it’s not lol.

I am an existential being. I follow my authority, and only when I look back do I realise I was doing something strategic.

That’s always the way for me.

Strategy emerges organically. My conscious mind is usually the last to find out.

So this letter is me looking back. Over the last two years I have made a series of changes to my business, to its structure, its model, and what it centres on. At the time, each one felt like a standalone decision. In hindsight, they were all pointing in the same direction: preparing this work, and me, for 2027 and beyond.

I want to walk you through them, because I don’t think this is only relevant to me. If you are building something of your own, or rethinking how you earn, or feeling the ground move beneath the way you currently work, I suspect some of this will feel resonant for you too.

This month, we have a total solar eclipse in Leo on 12/13 August, then a lunar eclipse in Pisces on 28 August. Two eclipses, a fortnight apart, and the collective field is already humming…

If you’ve been feeling a bit off lately, scattered, teary for no reason, wired but tired, you’re not imagining it. This is what the lead-up feels like. It gets all of us, even the ones who write about it for a living.

So before we’re in the thick of it, let’s talk about what eclipses actually are, what to expect, and how to look after yourself through a charged couple of weeks. No doom, I promise. Just the practical stuff I wish more astrologers would talk about.

A quick refresher

Eclipses happen when a new or full moon lines up with the Lunar Nodes, which are the points where the path of the Moon crosses the path of the Sun from our perspective here on Earth. At this time, our three most important celestial bodies, the Sun, Earth and Moon, come into alignment and we experience a moment of darkness followed by renewal.

The Nodes spend approximately 18 months in each pair of signs, which means we experience seasons of eclipses in the same signs rather than one-off events. The Leo solar eclipse belongs to a brand new story along the Leo and Aquarius axis, one that is just beginning to unfold and will continue through to 2028. The Pisces lunar eclipse is closing out a story that has been running since late 2024, so we are watching one chapter end just as another opens.

The sky does love structure…

Where we are eclipsed indicates an area where we are all learning, growing and stretching. The eclipses activate change, upheaval and release so that we can anchor into our future direction. They are known for creating quantum leaps, although those changes usually occur after we are out of the eclipse window, once the dust settles. Worth remembering when everything feels like it’s happening at once.

Now, the practical part.

What to know about Eclipse Season

1. People are going to be more distracted than usual.

The energy around an eclipse is inherently unstable. Most people feel something but can’t put words to it, which creates confusion. We experience more forgetfulness, short fuses, missed messages, baffling decisions, general human chaos. You’ll see it in small ways, the driver who does something wild, the email that never comes back, the friend who forgets you had plans. Leave margin everywhere, and try not to take the next two weeks of other people’s behaviour personally. Most of them have no idea why they feel like this.

2. You might be more distracted too.

You’re not exempt. Neither am I. You might find yourself foggier, more emotional, more reactive, or unable to hold a thought for long enough to make sense of it… It’s annoying, but it’s completely normal. Double-check the details, reread the text before you send it, and give yourself the same grace you’re extending to everyone else.

3. The eclipses are working for you.

This is the reframe I most want you to take into the season. The eclipses stir up the areas of life that are ready for change. So if something suddenly feels uncomfortable, unstable, or impossible to keep ignoring, that discomfort is information. It’s showing you where you’ve outgrown something. It could be a role, a dynamic, or a version of yourself that used to fit.

Anything that leaves during an eclipse season was already on its way out. And whatever arrives has usually been building for a while, we just couldn’t see it yet.

You don’t have to resolve any of it while it’s happening. Please don’t try. The way to work with eclipse energy is to be present with what’s coming up for you, rather than bypassing it or trying to mentally force a resolution. Write things down, give them room to breathe, and trust that the answers can come later.

4. Your design is how you navigate it.

Your strategy and authority are the literal keys to seasons like this one. When the field is charged, and everyone around you is spinning, your design is the steadiest thing you’ve got.

Generators and Manifesting Generators, let your sacral do the sorting, because if the response isn’t there, it isn’t yours. Projectors, guard your rest like it’s your job, because right now it is. Manifestors, inform before you act, especially if the urge to burn it all down arrives mid-eclipse (it might). And Reflectors, give the big stuff a full lunar cycle.

All of us: if your authority says wait, wait.

Eclipse seasons reward people who know how to make decisions as themselves. Honestly, that skill matters more right now than any forecast, including mine. If you’re ready to truly start living and making decisions as your true self, our guides are the perfect place to start.

How to prepare, practically

Nothing here is fancy. All of it helps.

Protect your sleep. Your body is doing real work integrating change, so go to bed earlier than feels necessary and let it.

Look after your body. Eat properly, drink water, move gently. It’s common to experience physical symptoms of purging and release around the eclipses, so be kind to the vessel doing the holding.

Leave space in your calendar. This is not the fortnight to schedule yourself to the edge. A bit of breathing room is one of the most supportive things you can give yourself right now.

Sit on big decisions if you can. The eclipse window distorts things. If a major choice can wait until early September, let it wait, and if it can’t, run it through your authority.

Write down what surfaces. The themes showing up now are a preview of your next chapter, and you’ll want to be able to look back on them later.

Let go of what’s clearly leaving. Holding on to what an eclipse is trying to remove only makes the process harder.

Prepare for distraction. From the people around you, and from yourself. And give everyone a tremendous amount of grace. We’re all trying.

Get familiar with the Leo and Aquarius-ruled parts of your chart. Because this is where you are heading into big change and transformation over the coming year and a half.

One last thing

You don’t need to fear eclipse season. And you don’t need anyone to get you through it, including an astrologer. The forecast is useful, but your design is what will actually carry you through. Everything you need to navigate the next few weeks is already built into how you make decisions.

Authority trumps transits, every time.

The Lunar Nodes are mathematical points, the places where the Moon’s path crosses the path of the Sun. And yet when they change signs, the entire backdrop of our collective story changes with them.

For the past 18 months, the nodes have been moving through Pisces and Virgo. Dissolving and refining. Softening what had become rigid, ordering what had become foggy.

The clearest thread I have watched myself and the people around me walk in this season has been that of faith. Over these 18 months, many people have returned to faith, or landed in a new faith walk entirely. It has moved through my practice, my community and the collective all at once, and once you see it, you see it everywhere.

The thing with nodal transits is that the lessons and the ways we are being called to stretch aren’t always obvious while we are in them. Sometimes they are incredibly hard to make sense of. But they tend to become more obvious as you’re coming out of them.

This week, one chapter closed as another one opened...

From 26/27 July 2026 until 26 March 2028, the nodes will make their way through Aquarius and Leo. The North Node, our point of increase and future direction, enters Aquarius. The South Node, our point of release and past mastery, enters Leo. And because eclipses always follow the nodes, we will start to see more eclipses land on this axis.

Whatever areas of your life these two signs occupy are where you are being called over the next year and a half to grow, stretch, evolve and embrace endings and beginnings.

In this essay, I am sharing what the nodes actually are and why this shift matters more than most transits you will read about this year. The era we are leaving and the one we are entering. The Human Design gates this new axis activates. And for paid subscribers, what this will activate for you.

What the nodes actually are

In astrology, the lunar nodes are some of the most important and mysterious points in the chart.

They are mathematical points rather than physical bodies, marking where the Moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic, the path of the Sun around the Earth. Nothing you could find through a telescope. And yet the nodes influence our purpose, our direction and our evolution, individually and collectively.

There are two of them, always directly opposite each other, forming a polar axis between past and future. Between our comfort zone and evolution.

The North Node pulls us forward into unknown territory, guiding us toward growth and expansion. The qualities we are learning to embody.

The South Node represents where we have been. Familiar patterns, comfort, our default behaviours. The qualities we are being asked to integrate and move beyond.

It works like walking a path. The South Node is the starting point, a place of comfort, security and habit. The North Node is the goal, the lessons we are here to learn and integrate.

The nodes create changes, beginnings and endings. They highlight where we need to grow, personally and collectively. In your birth chart, they describe the trajectory of your life. In transit, they describe 18-month cycles of learning. When they change signs, we all get a new curriculum.

Where the nodes are is where we get eclipsed. The nodes describe qualities we need to bring back into balance, and the eclipses every 6-months accelerate that journey.

The era we are leaving

Eighteen months ago, the North Node moved into Pisces and the South Node into Virgo.

This axis called us to sit with our relationships to faith and reality. Spirit and science. The unseen and the physical. Service and surrender. Practicality and idealism. Logical thinking and intuition. Skill and artistry. What we physically need, and what our spirit needs.

A focus on mental and physical health was expected with this transit, and it arrived. So did the collective version of the faith and reality question: a huge focus on religion, and on the way religion and science influence our politics, has run through this entire season.

With the North Node in Pisces, we were called more deeply into faith, imagination, compassion and connection to spirit. It asked us to loosen our grip. To trust what we could feel before we could prove it.

With the South Node in Virgo, we were asked to release the distortions of an otherwise beautiful archetype. Perfectionism. Over-analysis. Criticism, of ourselves most of all. Anxiety dressed up as productivity. The belief that if we refined the structures enough, we would finally feel safe.

The highest potential of any nodal axis is integration. Healthy Pisces with healthy Virgo: a spiritual life with structure. Devotion with discernment. Rest and ritual living side by side.

Even though the nodes are changing signs, lessons don’t necessarily stop once the nodes move on. We keep integrating, keep building on what we learned and what changed. The curriculum moves forward this weekend. But the integration of the last eighteen months continues for years.

The era we are entering

Aquarius and Leo sit opposite each other on the zodiac wheel, and this polarity teaches us essential lessons about individuality, expression and contribution.

Leo asks: what do I will? Aquarius asks: what do I know?

Leo is concerned with personal creativity. Aquarius with collective contribution. Leo leads from the heart. Aquarius leads from the ideal of a better future. Leo seeks personal expression. Aquarius seeks collective evolution. Leo wants to illuminate. Aquarius wants to understand and connect.

Opposite signs aren’t enemies. They’re two ends of the same thread, and both are asking, in their own way: how do I shine, and who is it for? So the South Node in Leo doesn’t mean we’re done with the lion. It means we’re going to be shown where our relationship with the lion has become tangled, so we can bring it back into balance.

The South Node works like a mirror held at an unflattering angle, very close to your face.

Over the next eighteen months, I think life is going to show us, sometimes gently and sometimes really not, the unhealthy angles of Leo we’ve all been living and expressing without noticing.

Living life for how it looks instead of how it genuinely feels.

Mistaking visibility for value.

Attention standing in for love.

Identities curated so carefully they’ve gone stiff, held so tightly they can’t grow anymore.

Saturn and retrogrades (in general) get a pretty bad wrap online. My hope with this essay is to help you see Saturn Retrograde as something genuinely useful and helpful. Which it is, if you know how to work with the energy rather than force against it…

This is an important transit for everyone, but it’s a particularly useful one to be aware of if you own a business. Because this retrograde, moving through the gates of control and opinions, is speaking directly to how you lead, how you manage your resources, and whose advice you’ve been following.

There’s nothing to fear here. There’s a lot to work with.

What is a planetary retrograde?

When a planet is retrograde, it appears from our perspective on Earth to slow down, pause, and start moving backwards through the sky, the zodiac and the gates. The planet isn’t actually moving backwards, of course. It’s all a matter of perspective. But that perspective matters, because it’s the way the planet’s energy is experienced here on Earth, through the gates and the zodiac as a geocentric data stream. When a planet moves backwards through that stream, we feel a real halting and inversion of its energy.

I like to picture it as if the planet is on a road trip. Forward motion is travelling from one city to the next. But sometimes the planet gets to the next city and realises it missed some important stops along the way. Maybe it left its phone charger at a hotel. We’ve all been there. For whatever reason, it needs to pause the trip and make the journey backwards.

So when a planet is retrograde, it’s retracing its steps. Something important has been missed and needs to be revisited.

Retrogrades also give us a reprieve. Can you imagine how exhausted we’d all be if every planet was direct, all of the time, and we lived in a constant state of forward motion and action?

I’m tired just thinking about it…

We need retrogrades. They’re the review built into the cycle. They’re important and helpful (please don’t buy into the online fear mongering).

Saturn, the planet of capacity

Saturn has a bit of a reputation problem that I feel compelled to try to fix…

There’s a tendency in certain branches of astrology to focus on the negative traits of Saturn. And in all honesty, I think that does everyone a massive disservice. He’s layered and multidimensional, just like you are.

His lessons can be really hard; I won’t pretend otherwise. But Saturn is the planet that most helps us expand and grow our capacity in this life.

He teaches us how to hold more, through discomfort, through challenge, through frustration and effort. He’s Chronos, father time. He slows things down and cools things off. He teaches us to put one foot in front of the other and to mature as we go. In your chart, he represents the area of life where you have to work a little harder than others seem to. And he creates a lot of good. It simply arrives in time, rather than on demand.

His retrogrades give us a chance to restructure, re-do and re-plan so that we can hold more. And by hold more, I mean more of the good and the bad. Saturn stretches us so our capacity grows in both directions. He helps us handle more, and he helps us receive more. The same steadiness that carries you through the hard season is what lets the good land when it comes.

The New Moon is a time for renewal, beginnings, setting intentions and planting the seeds of your desires. With each New Moon we complete one cycle and begin anew. As the moon descends into her darkness and rebirth, so do we. Nothing is visible yet, which means everything is possible. Whatever you seed now, you’ll be tending for the next twelve months, so it’s worth being intentional with what you plant.

This new moon is a special one. The Moon is in Cancer, the sign of her rulership, where she is naturally at home. It’s the only New Moon in Cancer for the whole year, which gives this lunation extra dignity and extra weight. What the cazimi illuminated two days ago, this lunation asks you to plant.

And because the Moon is home, home is the territory.

This is a New Moon for tending to yourself, your home, your family, your private life away from the eyes of others.

The Cancer Archetype

Cancer, represented by the crab, is the matriarch of the zodiac. Mama bear, nurturer, feeder, protector, and fierce lioness when someone she loves is threatened. She rules the 4th house of home, roots, family and life behind closed doors, and she is known for her sensitivity, her intuition, her warmth, and yes, that tough outer shell.

Here’s what gets forgotten about her, though. Cancer is a cardinal sign. Cardinal signs initiate. They open the seasons and they start things. So Cancer has a strong leadership quality. But she leads differently: through care rather than command. She’s the one who notices you’re struggling before you’ve said a word. The one who makes sure everyone has eaten. The one holding the emotional logistics of an entire family or team without anyone realising the weight of it.

She’s also the only sign ruled by the Moon. The Moon changes every single night, moving through her phases without apology, pulling the tides as she goes. Cancerian emotion works the same way. It moves, it swells, it recedes. People raised to distrust their feelings love to call this instability. But what it really is, is emotional fluency.

Cancer speaks emotion as a first language. And she remembers… The family recipes. The way you take your tea. The thing you said three years ago that meant more than you knew. Cancer holds lineage and history, the stories of where we come from, and she understands that the past is soil, something to grow from rather than outrun. Her growth edge lives here too, of course. The shell can become a place to hide rather than a place to rest, care can slide into control, and holding on too tightly can keep her tethered to a version of home that no longer exists. The invitation for Cancer, always, is to protect without walling off, and to remember without living backwards.

People love to focus on the shell. I like to focus on what the shell is telling us: the crab carries her home with her, because for Cancer, home is an extension of self. It’s less about the address and more about the feeling. The spaces we live in, the people we come home to, the food on the table, the emotional care beneath everything else.

Cancer teaches us that comfort, warmth and care are necessities. That you can be soft and strong at the same time. And that your inner world deserves as much tending as your outside world.

I know this because I’ve done it. The vision board. The 30-day visualisation practice. The morning ritual I was convinced would make the timeline fold in half if I just did it correctly enough. And underneath all of it, the feeling of shame every time it didn’t work fast enough, like the delay was a personal failing rather than, well, life.

Here’s what I actually think now, after getting this wrong in pretty much every possible way. It isn’t just about your thoughts. It’s moreso about your standards, and whether they match the life you are trying to create. And it isn’t just the big visible moments either, the launch, the first date, the signed contract. It’s the hundred tiny ones in between that nobody would ever think to notice.

If you’re trying to call something in, whether that’s love or money or a version of your life that finally feels like yours, you can’t just picture it. You have to start moving through your ordinary day with the energy of someone who already has it. Genuinely living it, in the moments nobody’s watching.

Below I am sharing everything I have learned personally about manifestation. The practice I actually use to attune to a vision before it’s real. Why I surrender the outcome the moment I’ve felt it, and let my strategy and authority take it from there. Why the rumination everyone treats as harmless is actually the thing working against you.

But first, the part most manifestation content skips entirely: the curriculum nobody wants to sit through.

I believe you can call in what you desire. Truly. But I hold an equal truth alongside that one: you can’t skip the curriculum required to become someone who can actually hold it.
