I have been enjoying tattooing these cat tattoos for Leo season, and I have been coming up with some new Virgo-season-exclusive designs, which you can read about, look at, and book below. I also am having a flash day at the end of August, which you can also book below.

NEW PRINT

I just added a new risograph print to my online store! If you are local to NYC, I will be offering local pickup in Gowanus (so you don’t have to pay for shipping) if you order by this Friday and select the local pickup option at checkout.

I am so excited to be able to share this print finally. I have had to really release myself to divine timing with this one. I suffered a few setbacks while attempting to get it made but was finally able to complete it last week, right as the snake symbol was re-entering my meditations. This image holds so much more than I am even able to describe. I am moving this month and having to remind myself that welcoming change and not allowing yourself to hold onto past versions of yourself is how growth happens.

In having to confront and accept uncertainty and the fear that comes along with it you are in fact building for yourself the greatest form of internal stability. In allowing yourself to trust your instincts even when they lead you down paths that are new and stressful, you are building the greatest form of self-trust. An inner confidence emerges that will allow you to move fluidly and intuitively through the doors that were meant for you. The wisdom of the snake speaks to finding a home in one’s own skin, and facing the discomfort this usually involves. And then knowing when it is time to shed. We shed our skin and move from one vessel to another, usually without even knowing what the next vessel holds for us. Making a home in the unknowable part of ourselves is the creation of a portal connecting us to the greater mysteries of nature, which is ever-changing.

These prints are being blessed as part of a ritual to invite in collective transformation and to reconnect us to the inherent abundance and support of our communities and the land. I hope they bring you the change and inner sense of home that your soul desires.

VIRGO SEASON DESIGNS

I have worked on some new designs for Virgo season. These will be exclusive to Virgo season, so they will not be available after September 22nd. You can book one of these designs through my Venue.

Virgo is the harvest season, so a lot of wheat imagery shows up in my interpretation of the sign. The harvesting and sorting of the wheat is a sort of spiritual metaphor for the internal psychological categorising that we do during this season. It is a time for sharpening the blades of our tools, for putting thoughts into words, for perfecting projects, organising and cleansing the parts of our lives that need it. The axe cuts out what is no longer necessary as we prepare to move onto a new stage. The scythe imagery reminds me particularly of the beak of the ibis-headed Egyptian god Thoth, who is a god of writing, who I also associate with Virgo.

FLASH DAY

I am booking a flash day on August 27th with my studio mate, Aya. We will both be tattooing flash from past flash days, and I have 3 sheets of available flash to book. CUSTOM TATTOOS AND TALISMANIC TATTOOS

I am always accepting requests for custom tattoos. I usually prioritise larger pieces for these and have been doing a lot of landscapes and animals lately, but I am open to many different ideas! If you were interested in any of my large-scale floral designs in the past, I am open to designing something similar as a custom. Follow my venue link to request a custom.

I have been enjoying doing Talismanic Tattoos for a while now. I do about one or two of these intuitively guided tattoos a month, and it really gives us an opportunity to go in depth into the transformative nature of symbols within the tattooing process. SPIRITUAL/HEALING SERVICES

I offer remote readings and healing sessions. I usually incorporate tarot, astrology, and intuitive skills to be able to bring you clarity around a particular issue and to be able to move energy into a more aligned flow.

I came to reiki and energy work as someone who deals with chronic pain and illness, and so I specialise in working through complex healing that requires a more intense process of transformation. I also love to be able to work with people on Saturnian issues: blockages, limitations, stuckness. So if your Saturn is in Aries and you are currently in your Saturn return, I would love to give you a reading!

I have been working on lots of new drawings and am experimenting with a new way of doing flash. It has been a recent goal to let my intuition guide me more in all aspects of my life and part of where that is leading me is towards working more seasonally. I am also always trying to align my creative practices with the current astrological and energetic currents, so this is reflected more and more in the designs I put out and the timing of the drops.

Leo season flash

So, the following three flash sheets were designed specifically for Leo season. These designs will be exclusive to Leo season. They are repeatable but will only be available until August 22nd (the end of Leo season). After that look out for new, Virgo themed designs.

I have been working with the energy of the Strength card as embodied through the Leo archetype. I actually drew this card as part of my year ahead spread for myself (I use the Thoth deck so Strength is “Lust” in that deck). Strength is typically about facing one’s fears, the instinctual, animal fears that inhabit our body through our nervous system, our flight/fight response. And it’s about making friends with and naming those fears rather than exiling them further into our unconscious. The Lion represents the fear, which when treated with compassion and care becomes suddenly much less fearsome. Leo is also the sign of the inner child, it can teach us to approach our fears with playfulness instead of anxiety. Because a lot of our fears are inherited and created during childhood, those parts of ourselves are often stuck in a child persona. Observing the behavior of cats when they are fearful or playing gives us a lot of insight as to how to treat our own inner animal or inner child.

I have been training my cat recently which has been a lot of fun. She is pretty responsive to treats and has learned to sit and put out her paw to touch my hand. We are still working on getting her to jump up on things and walk between my legs. Some days she’s very willing to cooperate but other days she’s a little distracted or uninterested. And I’ve learned that I have to treat my body and my inner child in the same way I respond to her, by accepting that retraining my fear-mind and my nervous system takes time and patience and I’m not going to get anywhere pushing too hard.

Here’s my Marseille Tarot Strength “La Force” in front of my poster of Durga that sits above my altar. Durga has been a consistent presence in my spiritual life and she represents to me a fiercely protective Leo archetype. To me she embodies the act turning one’s fears into weapons and armor, but in a way that is not overly defensive so that one isn’t letting anyone in, but so that one can fight for love and become a symbol of strength for others.

Fountains and other flash

I also have some fountain flash that has been inspired by Cancer Season, this will be available at any time on my regular repeatable flash. These were inspired by the suit of Cups in Tarot, particularly the Ace of Cups, which to me evokes the feeling of being connected to one’s own eternal, internal source of spiritual/emotional nourishment. Being able to self-nurture in this way is critical for experiencing Cancer energy, otherwise we end up outsourcing this need through becoming overly focused on physical nourishment through food, buying things, or over-relying on others for our emotional needs.

The smaller fountains can be done any placement but I have them mocked up on hands to give you some ideas of what we can do.

I also have another large floral design available. The idea of what “home” means in the context of growing global insecurity is becoming increasingly relevant in our collective experience. I have personally started finding my sense of home and belonging and home through engaging with nature. So this piece explores finding grounding and warmth through my daily walks to look at the flowers in my neighborhood.

I am also always accepting custom requests, customs start at $500 and I usually prioritize larger pieces. Some ideas for customs include but are not limited to: large florals like the one above, mystical landscapes or landscape based on a particular location, creatures, pieces inspired by poems. I have returned from the West Coast, I was so happy to be able to see the redwoods and spend some time with my family.

I have also finally completed my Riso certification and am very excited to start making some prints, so look out for those in the future!

I will be having a flash day next week on the 13th for the Gemini New Moon. It will be Gemini themed, so the flash below is meant to be tattooed in symmetrical pairs. We can do one on each arm, one on each leg, etc, and $300 total for the two tattoos. Each one is a set size, around 2-3 inches.

I will be in the Bay Area in May, but I have decided not to tattoo while I’m there, as it will be a much-needed break, and so I can focus on visiting with family.

Triple Irises

I talked a bit about the Iris as a plant spirit ally in my last newsletter. I had a lot of fun designing this back piece, which is inspired by the reciprocity of our relationship with nature and with our communities. It speaks of this wish for emotional and spiritual fulfillment through belonging to a larger ecosystem in which we both give and receive nourishment.

River Crossing

In this piece, the water of life is poured from its source on the mountain, and the spirits cross to the other side with their cups. I wanted to evoke a sense of safety and ease within transition. The dog is a guiding and guarding figure that finds its way into most of my landscapes. It reminds me of the 8 of cups and the 4 of cups, which represent crossroads at which point we are called to seek a more sustaining form of spiritual nourishment in our lives after we have lost our taste for what was previously enjoyable.

Road Openers/Home finders

The black dog/wold spirit is most broadly a spirit that guides one through the bridges of life, finding balance between the earthly and spiritual worlds. I engage most with this spirit to help me find a home, particularly in a spiritual/emotional sense. I ask him to help me feel at home where I am, and what I have found evokes this the most is being within nature where I can feel a part of this living web of being that welcomes me with open arms.

I have started offering 1-2 card tarot readings for clients for all of my tattoos, and it has been a great experience so far. It feels like it allows both of us to connect more deeply with the symbols in the tattoo, and it has felt very fulfilling to continue to bring my passion for spirituality and intuitive arts into my tattoo work. So, from now on, all my tattoo sessions will include an optional short tarot reading!

I also am always booking talismanic tattoos, which is an offering where we intuitively create a custom design based on symbolism from an in-depth intuitive reading (which usually includes tarot, astrology, and guided meditation). FIRE AND WATER

I have been inspired by the fire/water dichotomy for a while. For my year-ahead tarot reading for myself at the beginning of 2026, I pulled both the queen of cups and queen of wands. These two queens represent pretty well my work with the goddess Brigid, a celtic goddess of artists, writers, craftsmen, and healers. She represents both this forge where the fires of creativity bring forth new life, and the healing waters of the wellspring that connects one to the spirit world. In the balance of these two energies, we come to understand the dual nature of creation, a story which is also told in the archetypes of water and fire signs that lie next to each other on the zodiac, especially now as we shift from pisces to aries season.

THE IRIS

One of the plant spirits that I have been working with this year is the Iris, so I have designed some larger pieces to capture her energy. Iris is the dancers with their twirling skirts, she is the grace and flow of water and the passion and creativity of fire. Iris is the stronghold and the seeing eye. She is protective, yet gentle, pushing you towards positive change and keeping you always in tune with your intuitive guidance. Iris is the road unfurled before you. She asks you to have faith and plan for the future while remaining still present in the moment. Iris helps you to plant a garden, to turn inspiration into creative projects to be nurtured and tended to with care. She asks for compassion to come first, for the heart to be protected but also generously open.

FLASH DAY

Nice Try is having a flash day this Feb 13th, and I will be tattooing from the sheet below. All designs are 150 each, one tattoo per person, arms and legs only. The flash is a set size (around 2-3 inches), and while I don’t allow edits on these, the ones with red can also be done in just black. Booking is through Venue, and you can grab a spot here!

EMPOWERED TATTOO SPELLS

I have also been working on some really special projects that further align my spiritual work with my tattooing work. I have worked with my guides to channel animal spirits and plant spirits like eucalyptus, gingko, crabapple, and mugwort into these designs that act as spells or talismans with the intention of road opening. Created and consecrated on the Virgo moon, these images are living spirits that hold the archetypal power of the spirits who part the way, who illumate the path forward at a crossroads. These spirits want to be guides in particular to writers, singers, and speakers and especially those who may struggle with blockage in these areas, who are looking to find their voice, who wait for the flow of words to be found with more ease.

Since this is a unique offering, these are non-repeatable. I can change the colors and do them in black per request.

They are meant to be done fairly large (6-8 inches) and the price range is 650-750 and they can be booked individually here.

FLASH AND CUSTOM BOOKING

In these appointments, we can do multiple small to medium-sized tattoos, or one bigger piece. INTUITIVE GUIDANCE

I also offer intuitive readings, which you can book here. This is a reading to guide you when you have found yourself at a crossroads. We can do a more general overview of how the energies of the present moment are affecting you, or go deeper into one particular topic. I communicate with spirit guides and use a variety of intuitive and divinatory methods like tarot and astrology to illuminate the path ahead.

I have been finding the transition into Aquarius season to be quite cathartic. I pulled death and the hanged man in my tarot reading for the recent new moon, which feels pretty on brand for this moment of great upheaval and transformation. Many of us are embarking on new journeys and releasing the last of our baggage in preparation. As Saturn ends its transit through my 4th house, I think in squares and find my stability. I am ending a period of creative and emotional gestation. I find my home through my spiritual practice and my creative projects. This is a time when the puzzle pieces start to come together, as Saturn enters Aries it ushers in big transitions. May you find peace in this new stage.

I have drawn some new flash offerings. They are mostly inspired by mudras, hand positions that hold/communicate energy. Within each of our hands is a microcosm of our whole body, mind, one which reflects the greater macrocosm of the universe. Through gesture we learn how to give and receive, how to heal and how to take righteous action.

These can be done as is or we can combine a few to create a composition of hands like I have done with the islands to flow over a certain area of the body. I have included some placement ideas, although we do not have to do these exact placements.

spiritual guidance/energy work sessions

I have also been practicing energy work along with intuitive reading, as I am recently attuned up to Reiki Level 2. I am hoping to offer virtual readings/energy work sessions on Mondays. I typically use guided imagery/meditation along with tarot and reiki. If you are at a crossroads, or looking for guidance, let me help illuminate the way. I am particularly interested in working with people with chronic pain and chronic illness. I have opened my books for November. You can book an appointment through my Calendly. You can use this link to book either flash or custom, if you are booking a custom tattoo, please email me after booking to tell me what you would like to get (it is usually helpful to include a photo or description of where on your body you would like the tattoo, how big you want it, and any relevant images from my flash/tattoos for inspiration). For pre-designed flash, I am able to do small edits on designs, including things like changing color.

I have been really enjoying doing landscape tattoos and islands, which I’m able to draw to fit any part of the body, so these are great ideas for custom tattoos. I have drawn some more islands as flash as well, and these can be arranged and combined depending on the desired placement. I also love doing these bigger tapestries/blankets, so I would love to do more of these as customs as well.

I am also making sticker sheets of the blue teapots so look out for that!

My work with Talismanic Tattoos has really been evolving. They are really centering the narrative component, using images retrieved during trance spirit-work to weave a story that incorporates astrology and tarot as needed. These sessions have been teaching me a lot and helping me connect with my capacity to provide spiritual guidance, locate spirit guides and archetypes for others, and reclaim the sacred ceremonial aspect of tattooing that originally attracted me to the craft. I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather. Even the fresh rain has been a welcome experience on my walks around the neighborhood to look at all the blooming trees and flowers.

I have been particularly inspired by the symbolism of knots recently and have been using knots in my personal rituals in order to invoke both protection and freedom from restriction. I see the cords of color as potent images for life energy which can be wrapped, moved, and knotted in order to shift thought patterns and form connections between the spiritual and material worlds.

I am very excited to tattoo you this summer! I have a few spots left in June for flash, then in a few weeks I will open books for July. I am also excited to open up a new appointment type for custom work, for people who are interested in co-creating custom designs based utilizing intuitive divination methods such as tarot and astrology. These appointments will include a longer consultation, as we will spend time looking at your chart together and talking through your specific intentions for the piece. My work is very spiritual and intuitive and I see all of my designs as imagery that is capable of great transformation, so I am hoping to work with people who are drawn to the symbolic nature of my work and want to explore tattooing as a magical ritual together. If this interests you please fill out this form to request an appointment. The form will remain open and I will be going through the requests and emailing people back on a rolling basis to find a time and send a deposit to book the appointment. These appointments will start at $500 minimum and will include an hour-long consult via Zoom sometime before the actual tattoo appointment where we will be able to talk through your chart and your intentions for the design. After the consultation, I will work on the design and we will have more time to make edits when I show you the design on the day of the appointment.

Nice Try will be hosting a February flash day this Saturday. I will be tattooing these small flash designs from the sheet below, all designs will be $150 each. If you would like to book a spot, book through calendly. I’m only doing 6 spots so they might fill up quick!

I will only doing arms and legs for the flash day, and only one tattoo per person, and sizes are preset (around 2-3 inches).

Nice Try is also hosting a winter coat drive, so if you have clothing, particularly winter wear please come and drop it off on Saturday between 11am-6pm.

I have been working on some flash sheets, these still life flash designs can be mix matched and modified to your liking (doesn’t have to be in blue ink either). We can even do a larger composition with a whole tablescape of food.

I hope you are getting cozy as the weather gets colder. I have been enjoying spending more time indoors with my cat and going on quests to find the best hot chocolate spots in NYC (if you have any recommendations, or favorite hot chocolate recipes send them my way!)

I have been drawing a lot of butterflies lately, and they seem like the perfect symbol for bringing in the new year. As 2024 ends and the new year is resurrected, the butterfly brings transformation and resurrection. In addition, now that Pluto is in Aquarius, the butterfly is ready for us to rise above past restrictions and fly into a new sense of freedom. If the spirit of the butterfly speaks to you, I have created some flash tattoos that can help you harness this energy for your own metamorphosis. Opening books for November a bit late, I was enjoying a relaxing time in Colorado taking in the mountain scenery and getting some healing time with the trees. I had such a nice time exploring Boulder and having great conversations with clients and coworkers.

I’m looking forward to taking a little trip to Mexico City over Thanksgiving, and I’ll be traveling back to my hometown in the Bay Area at the end of December (sorry, I won’t be tattooing there this time but hopefully I can make it out to California again to work).

I will do edits on designs, such as changing colors, size and mix and matching some different elements for different designs. Unfortunately I ended up having to reschedule a lot of appointments in September for health reasons, so I’ve filled up a bit of October already with reschedules. I’ve been dealing with the ongoing effects of chronic Lyme which has been putting my body through it and tattooing demands a lot more physical and mental focus than I can give when I’m having a flare up. I have had to take a bit of a step back for a few weeks to heal, which made always makes me miss my tattooing community, my coworkers and my wonderful relationships with the people who come and get tattooed by me. In a time when I feel so out of control of my body I’ve been grateful for my spiritual/creative practice and my friendships. I’ve recently returned to work as some of my energy has returned, and I thank you all for your patience with the scheduling changes.

I am excited to announce that I will be traveling to Boulder, Colorado in October and I will be guesting at Golden Iris Tattoo on the 6th, 8th and 9th of October.
